The V-22 flew overhead of the North Atlantic Ocean. Elsa and Anna were both peering through the side window between them. It had been so long since they had seen the Eastern coast. Over the surface of the ocean below, they saw what looked to be three large mutated whale creatures leaping out of the water. Anna gasped in awe.
"Elsa, look!" she said, pointing down to the creatures below.
Elsa glanced down over the ocean, where she saw the whale like creatures swimming below. Their bodies resembled that of the blue whale, with two fins along each side of their bodies from the front and back and a large tail. It was fair to say that the effects of the Titan killer hasn't just had an effect on the wild life and the Titans. It seemed to have mutated much of the marine life as well. They had heard it over the news and what not. But never have they
Elsa glanced over across the hall to Dr. Ling.
"Are those whales?" She asked.
Dr. Ling nodded her head to her.
"Yes," she answered to her.
"These whale's genes have been altered by the radiation we harvested from the meteor. As well as other marine life."
Kristoff glanced to her curiously.
"Altered their genes?" He asked, curiously.
Ling nodded her head to them.
"After the Titan Killer dropped over Baltimore," Ilene insisted to them.
"We conducted a study on the effects over the wildlife. And we found that the radiation has caused some species to have many mutations, altering their genes and making them more suitable in their new environment."
"So then why didn't we?" Jack asked, curiously.
"The virus that was unleased during the explosion," Ilene insisted to them.
"It was not something that we humans have ever been exposed to. It contained a Genetic affect that humans immune systems could no withstand."
"And given that this is a radiation came from outer space," Dr. Ling insisted.
"And given how humans have evolved over millions of years of evolution, we may have lost our immunity to it long ago."
"What are you saying?" Elsa asked, curiously.
"We think that this meteor may have struck the earth before," Dr. Ling insisted.
"During the time when man had worshiped the Titans."
It was then that they head the Pilot call from the cockpit.
"We're coming up on Castle Bravo!" he called.
The V-22 flew up over the Facility which stood over the Atlantic ocean. As it came over the entrance, the aircraft slowly descend as the doorway opened from under it.
As the aircraft descended down through the boxed in tunnel of concrete, they came out into the underground facility. Anna leaned forward as she stared up through the front of the V-22, seeing the large head of the MUTO that had attacked Francisco twenty five years ago.
"Wow!" she said.
She then turned to Jack and Kristoff, who both gazed wide eyed.
The V-22 set down over the landing pad. The gangway slowly lowered from the back as Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Jack came down the ramp. They came around the aircraft, where they gazed into the underground facility. Anna came up to the railing, where she peered below at the Submarine docking below.
"This is so cool." she said.
Jack, Kristoff and Elsa came up from behind her. Elsa placed her hands over the railing as she gazed out over Monarch's head courters. She then glanced back at Dr. Ling.
"What is this place?" she asked, curiously.
"Before the Titan Killer," Dr. Ilene said.
"This is where we've studied Godzilla for the passed decades."
"Godzilla?" Anna asked, curiously.
Ilene nodded to them.
"This was his territory for the longest time before he disappeared," She insisted to them.
"It's where we had discovered the first effects of the radiation."
"If I may intervine," Colonel Foster insisted.
"Everyone is waiting for us in the meeting room."
Ilene nodded her head before turning to Elsa and her family.
"Right," Ilene said, before turning to the Elsa and the others.
"If you will follow me to the meeting room, we have much to discuss."
Video feed of the asteroid that had crashed in Los Angela last night played over the monitor in the meeting room. The asteroid covered over by Banshees, pulsed like a human heart, as bright red light shined from it's crevices. Dr. Ilene stood before the screen at the head of the table.
"This was the asteroid that struck Los Angeles last night." Ilene insisted to them.
The four stared at the large mound of stone from space, covered atop by Banshees. A bright red light continued to pulse from it's caverns, starting some of the winged creatures.
"Jesus." Jack said.
"Look at the size of that thing." Kristoff pointed out.
"What's that red light?" Anna asked, curiously.
"From our initial analysis," Dr. Ilene claimed to them.
"But we believe it to be a heart beat."
Jack and Elsa glanced to the Head of Monarch.
"A heart beat?" Elsa asked, curiously.
"You mean, there's something alive in there?" Jack asked, curiously.
"Lets just say, we may be getting more visitors from outer space." Dr. Rick insisted.
"Why isn't the military rolling on this?" Jack asked, glancing down at the other members of Monarch.
"Shouldn't we call in an airstrike?"
"An airstrike on the asteroid on the asteroid is out of the question." Colonel Diane insisted to him.
"We would risk exposing what's left of humanity to another wave of the virus." Maddison claimed.
Kristoff and Anna glanced down to Dr, Russel in shock.
"What are you talking about?" Kristoff said.
Anna glanced back at Dr. Ilene.
"The Meteor that struck Los Angeles is the same one that struck the Yukon." Dr. Ilene claimed, turning back to the monitor.
She brought up an image of the asteroid which had crashed in the Yukon. The meteor of which looked to have been also pulsing a bright red light.
"The same one we used to create the Titan killer," Ilene claimed to them
"And unleashed the virus that cause the Titan war."
"That's why the Banshee's came into the city," Maddison insisted.
"Their drawn to the radiation. And one single missile strike will unleash another wave of the virus over Los Angeles."
"Causing another Titan War." Colonel Diane claimed.
The four friends stared in shock and contempt at the Head of Monarch. The mere mention of another Titan war was terrifying enough. But for the virus that took away their lives and world they once knew. Elsa and jack glanced to one another, taking each other's hand. Both of them terrified that they would never get the chance to raise a family together.
Elsa narrowed her eyes. For there was something else she needed to know.
"What does this have to do with our mother?" She asked, glancing back back to Ilene.
Ilene turned back to the monitor and tapped her finger over the screen, bringing up the images of the cave paintings over the monitor.
"These images were taken at Outposts 94," Ilene said.
"By one of our lead scientists, Dr. Iduna Marian."
"Mother?" Anna said.
Elsa, Jack, Kristoff and Anna peered up at the screen. It was there that they say two separate images The Image at the forefront was of a what appeared to be hieroglyphs of what looked to be a red asteroid falling from the sky. The one which was a cave painting of a strange titan some kind with large bat like wings and a horn over top it's head.
Elsa froze at the sight of the cave painting, staring in both shock and awe.
"What is that?" Jack asked, curiously.
"We think that this is a foretelling of the civilization that worshiped the Titans," Ilene insisted to them.
"After the Titan killer was dropped over Baltimore, your mother went to study the side effects of the radiation over the titans. These were some of the discoveries she made in the last remaining ruins and the Hollow Earth."
Elsa continued to stare at the photo of the cave painting. Slowly she flashed back at the dream she had the night before. Of the monster she saw emerged from the asteroid. It looked exactly like the one in the cave painting. How was that possible?
She then felt a hand over her shoulder.
"Hey, you alright?" Jack asked, curiously.
She glanced back to Jack. She then nodded her head.
"I'm fine." she insisted to him.
"Where?" Anna asked, curiously.
Ilene brought up an image of an island over the screen.
"Here," Ilene said.
"It is a small island in the Atlantic to the South."
"We call it Monster Island." Dr. Rick said.
"Oh, well doesn't that sound fitting." Jack commented.
"If this foretelling is true then we need to find your mother," Ilene proclaimed to them.
"It this asteroid really is another invasive species, there's only one that could stop it."
"Who?" Elsa asked curiously.
Jack narrowed his eyes as he pondered for a moment. Only to then widen his eyes in realization.
"Wait, you don't mean..." He said, glancing up to Dr. Ilene.
"That's right, kid," Dr. Rick insisted.
"The Big G himself."
It was right at that moment that an image of Godzilla came up over the screen.
Jack was pacing back and forth in the hallway outside the meeting room. He ran his hand through his thick white hair, contemplating Monarch's plan to handle the situation.
"They have to be kidding," he said, glancing to Elsa, Anna and Kristoff.
"As if we didn't have problems, now they want to bring Godzilla into Los Angeles?"
Kristoff shook his head.
"Yeah, I don't know about this." He agreed.
"And on top of that, they've know where to find Godzilla this whole time." Jack pointed out.
"But isn't that a good thing at this point," Anna insisted.
"I mean if there's really a monster inside that meteor, what other option is there?"
"You can't seriously believe this is a good idea," Jack said.
"After what he did to San-Francisco and Boston."
Elsa narrowed her eyes, turning from her sister. She pondered for a moment, contemplating it all. It had been twenty years since their mother had disappeared. Only to now be told she was far off on a one of Monarch Outposts on a far off Island. After all this time, hearing no word from her and have society brand her as a criminal after everything that has happened. She felt so felt so angry and confused at the same time.
"If you ask me, we need to tell your Father and General Ruenard what's going on." Jack insisted.
"And then what?" Anna asked, curiously.
"How is the military going to handle this, you heard what they said. If they launch an airstrike over the meteor over the asteroid, they'll unleash the virus."
Jack narrowed his head, glancing to the side. He pondered over their two predicaments. If they damaged the meteor in anyway, they would unleash the virus that had wiped out more then half of humanity. But if they did nothing, then a titan would emerge from it and the city would face a Level 10 emergency. Either way, the city would be facing immediate danger.
But even still, the very idea of bringing Godzilla into the city was concerning to him.
"Beside, Godzilla's handled other monsters before," Anna pointed out.
"And if there's a chance that we can find mother, we have to take it. Right Elsa?"
Anna glanced back at her sister. Elsa was still to face away from them, narrowing her eyes. She continued to pondered over the news of their mother.
"Elsa?" Anna said.
Elsa was then snapped back to reality. She glanced to her sister and saw her, Kristoff and Jack, who were looking to her.
"Huh?" she said.
"What do you think we should do?" She asked, curiously.
Elsa thought for a moment. She still felt so conflicted about it. Not just about their mother. but also the idea of Godzilla. While she had her concerns with the idea, Godzilla may be their only hope if they were faced with another titan. Though at the moment, Godzilla was the least of her concern. She was still thinking about her mother. While harbored some anger from her abandoning them all those years ago, even still, she wanted to find their mother as much as her sister.
She glanced up to them.
"I think we should do it." she insisted to them.
Anna gasped with anticipation.
"Really?" She said.
Elsa nodded her head to them.
"You sure about this, Els?" Jack asked, curiously.
"Please, Jack," she said as she too him by the hands.
"She's our mother."
Jack narrowed his head as he sighed. While he still had he doubts about this whole thing, he never could resist the pleads of his fiancé's. Even as a soldier, he placed her above all. Even if he wasn't so keen on helping Monarch, if this is what she wanted, then he would go along with it.
"Alright." he said, nodding his head to her.
Elsa smiled in appreciation of her fiancé.
"Thank you, Jack." she said.
It was then that the four were approached by Ilene and Colonel Diane.
"Miss Marian?" Diane asked, curiously.
Elsa turned back to them. She in turn nodded her head to them.
"We'll help you find our mother." she proclaimed.
Dr. Ilene smiled and nodded to her.
"Thank you, Miss Marian." she said.
"So, how exactly do we get to this island?" Jack asked, curiously.
The footsteps of the Monster King shook the jungle island. Honeymaren came up along the cliff as she gazed out over the jungle at Godzilla. He was heading toward the sea. All the while, his dorsal spines continued to pulse over his back in a display of intimidation. He sensed another force somewhere far in the ocean, making it's way toward the Island. They must sense the radiation of the meteor and were being drawn to the island.
Like an animal reacting to an intruder to it's territory, Godzilla would defend the island which was his and the other Titans.
Ryder came up behind her as he looked out toward the Monster King.
"(Where is he going?)" Ryder asked, glancing to her sister.
Honeymaren squinted his eyes
"(He must sense danger nearby.)" she insisted to him.
Godzilla came out of the forest and out over the Beach. It was there that he came into the ocean and as the water came up over his knees, he then dove forward and disappeared into the sea.
