Several Years Later, Ichinose Academy
"It`s been a while since I`ve been back here," Narayuki thought as he walked up to his old high school now as a 22-year-old man standing almost 6 feet tall, "Guess I better go inside after all it`s my first day as an assistant teacher," Narayuki thought as he walked into the building, "Seems like not much has changed since I`ve been gone," Narayuki thought as he walked through the hallways, "Oh I guess Mizuki turned out to be as good as a swimmer as Uruka was," said Narayuki as he saw a photo of Mizuki holding a trophy with the team, "This must be where I have to go," said Narayuki as he saw a large set of doors and entered
"Ah, Narayuki, good to see you, have you been well?" the Headmaster asked as Narayuki entered, "Everything`s good, I`m here regarding the position of new teacher," said Narayuki as he took a seat, "Ah yes, since you graduated the teacher`s program in college, I figured you`d be perfect since you attended this school in your youth, not to mention you were an excellent tutor," said the Headmaster, "All right, who am I going to be training under?" Narayuki asked, "I decided that you would be best trained with someone who has similar skill sets to yours for the time being" the Headmaster explained as there was a knock on the door, "Ah, that must be her, come in," said the Headmaster as the door opened
"Yuiga?" Mafuyu asked in shock, "Miss Kirisu? You`re my training teacher?" Narayuki asked in confusion, "Well yes, I was told that there would be a new pupil that I would be training, but you didn`t tell me it was one of my former students" said Mafuyu, "Anyways, Narayuki I`m leaving you in Kirisu`s hands, good luck" said the Headmaster as he excused himself leaving the room with the two alone in silence, "Kirisu-sensei" Narayuki said slowly to which Mafuyu cut him off, "There`ll be time to catch up for now follow me" said Mafuyu as they walked out of the office
"I`ll explain how things are going to work, for today just sit back for a lesson and watch me teach, but I`ll have you teach the last class of the day" said Mafuyu as the two walked down the hall, "He`s gotten taller since he was a student," Mafuyu thought as she noticed the height difference between the two of them, "No, I can`t let that distract me, adult or not I still have to train him even if I have to whip him into shape," Mafuyu thought as they reached the classroom,
"Good morning everyone, take your seats," said Mafuyu as they entered the classroom, "Before we start, I`d like to introduce a new assistant who will be joining us, introduce yourself," said Mafuyu, "Ah yes, hello everyone my name is Narayuki Yuiga, I will be assisting you all, I hope we can have a good semester," said Narayuki as he introduced himself to which the students starting talking among each other, "Alright quiet down, turn to page 190," said Mafuyu as she started writing on the chalkboard, "Can anyone tell me who the tsar of Russia was between 1547 to 1575?" Mafuyu asked as she called on a student, "Ivan the Terrible" said the student, "Correct, but remember he was Ivan IV, not the Terrible" said Mafuyu correcting the student, "Wow, she`s so engaged with the students while she`s teaching, no wonder why she`s one of the top teachers in this school" Narayuki thought as he watched Mafuyu teach the lesson
Lunchtime
"Alright, that`ll be all for today, read pages 200-230 tonight from the text, there`ll be a quiz on it so make sure to study," said Mafuyu as the bell rang, "Wow, when it comes to teaching she really is something else," Narayuki thought as he got up after watching Mafuyu teach, "Yuiga, let`s get going, it`s lunchtime," said Mafuyu snapping Narayuki back into reality, "Oh right," said Narayuki as they walked to the teacher's room, "Go eat something for now, I`ll explain what you`ll be doing in a bit, I`ve got some work to do," said Mafuyu as she walked away, "Guess I better loosen up before I actually start doing work" Narayuki thought as he entered the staff room
Teacher`s Room
"Oh Yuiga, we heard that we were getting a new teacher, but we never expected it to be you," said Sato as he approached Narayuki, "Yeah, it`s good to see you again," said Narayuki, "So who did you get as a supervisor?" Suzuki asked as he took a sip of his tea, "Kirisu-sensei" said Narayuki, "Wow, you`re so lucky to have a babe like Kirisu supervising you, don`t get too distracted or she might yell at you" Suzuki teased, "Yeah, guess I better eat before I start teaching" Narayuki thought as he trying to figure out what to order, "Yuiga, we`re gonna order some udon from Ogata Udon, you want anything?" Sato asked, "Yeah, I`ll have the tempura udon," Narayuki said back as Sato was asking the other teachers
A bit later
"Hello, I got a couple of orders of udon," said Rizu as she walked inside the teacher`s room, "Oh Ogata, what are you doing here?" Narayuki asked as he wasn`t expecting to see Rizu, "I`m helping my Dad out with deliveries, it can get busy nowadays, here`s your food" said Rizu as she put his order in front of him, "So you`re really a teacher here now huh?" Rizu asked, "That`s right, it`s my first day today and I got Kirisu-sensei as my supervisor," said Narayuki, "Oh my, didn`t you two have disagreements with each other`s methods of teaching?" Rizu asked, "Yeah, but I think it should be fine since we understand each other better," said Narayuki, "I see, good luck, remember you`re always welcome to stop by Ogata Udon whenever you need somewhere to do some work," said Rizu as she left, "Glad to see that Ogata hasn`t changed much," Narayuki thought as he ate his lunch
"Alright Yuiga, I've brought the material you`ll need to teach the next class," said Mafuyu as she put a notebook in front of Narayuki, "Wait so I gotta memorize this before the next class?" Narayuki asked as he looked through the book, "Not necessarily, just have an idea of what you`re going to be teaching, meet me back at the classroom when you`re done" said Mafuyu as she left the room, "This is a lot to keep in mind considering it`s my first day, but I`ll do my best" Narayuki thought as he took a look at the plan
Later
"Alright, today we`ll be going over the French Revolution, turn your books to page 200," said Narayuki as he looked through his notes while writing on the board, "He`s struggling already," Mafuyu thought as she watched Narayuki fumble a bit, "Alright, so the French Revolution began due to unrest in the government with the peasants and the bourgeoise" Narayuki explained, "Yuiga-sensei, I have a question," said a female student, "Yes, what is it?" When did the French Revolution begin? asked the student to which Narayuki frantically looked through his text to give an answer, "The French Revolution began in 1789 and ended in 1799, Yuiga-sensei please carry on with the lesson" said Mafuyu, "Right, King Louis XVI was- whoa" said Narayuki as he tripped on his shoes falling to the ground, "Yuiga-sensei, are you alright?" asked a student, "Yeah I`m fine" said Narayuki as he picked himself up, "Not only did he seem to forget the lesson plan, he seems so nervous that he tripped on his own two feet" Mafuyu thought as she watched the rest of the lesson unfold unsuccessfully
After class
"Alright students, that concludes today`s lesson remember to read the pages assigned for tomorrow`s class," said Narayuki, as class was finally over at least in Mafuyu`s eyes as what she witnessed, must have been torture to any teacher, "All right, guess we`re done for today," said Narayuki as he gathered his papers to which Mafuyu placed her hand on his shoulder, "Miss Kirisu?" Narayuki asked nervously as he noticed Mafuyu did not seem pleased at all, "You, my office right now" said Mafuyu to which she dragged Narayuki to the office
Kirisu`s Office
"What was that all about, you seemed so disorganized during the lesson, didn`t I tell you to look at the lesson plan before class?" Mafuyu asked, "I`m sorry, I guess I should have taken more detail into today`s lesson, there was a lot to look at" said Narayuki to which Mafuyu sighed, "I guess it can`t be helped that you messed up your first time, everyone has their days, but you can`t have this happen again, understood?" Mafuyu asked, "Yes, I`ll try harder next time" Narayuki replied as Mafuyu placed lesson plans in front of Narayuki, "This time write out any details in the lesson plan and make sure you`re prepared for the next lesson. I`ll make sure you have everything down," said Mafuyu, "I`ll get started then," said Narayuki as he started writing as Mafuyu watched him while explaining the lesson plan
5 p.m.
"Alright, I think that`ll be enough for today, let`s get going," said Mafuyu as the day was nearing its end, "Yeah, it`s getting late," said Narayuki as the two left the office to which the other teachers were waiting outside for them, "Yuiga-sensei, we`re all going out to have dinner, why don`t you join us?" Sato asked, "I`m not great with these social events, I have to prepare for tomorrow`s lesson," Yuiga said nervously, "Precisely, Yuiga-sensei has work to do" Mafuyu added, "Ah come on don`t be like that Kirisu-sensei, you should come hang out with us tonight please?," said Fujita, "It`s not a bad idea, we haven`t seen each other in years, now would be a good time to catch up" said Narayuki, "All right I suppose, but only this one time," said Mafuyu, "All right let`s get going, the sake isn`t gonna wait for us," said Suzuki as everyone walked outside
Akkyun Bar
"To our new staff member Yuiga-sensei," said Suzuki as everyone participated in a toast welcoming Narayuki, "Cheers," said everyone as they joined glasses, "Wow, I can`t remember the last time I hung out with a group" Narayuki thought as everyone was enjoying themselves after a long day of teaching, "Oh Yuiga-sensei, you seem out of it, why don`t you join us in drinking," said Kokubu as he poured some sake for Narayuki, "Uh no thanks, I`m not really great with alcohol," said Narayuki, "Aw, come on Yuiga-sensei, don`t be such a buzzkill, you`re a man like the rest of us, come on chug chug chug," said the three male teachers, "I guess I don`t have any other choice," Narayuki thought as he downed his drink, "Damn it`s burning my throat right now, I can only take one drink or I might end up really drunk," Narayuki thought as the alcohol was starting to take effect, "Better have some food," Narayuki thought as he ate his udon, "So how was college Yuiga-sensei, did you meet any cute girls there?" Suzuki asked to which Narayuki turned red, "Of course not, I was always focused on work in college so I never bothered" Narayuki replied, "Oh come on Yuiga-sensei, there had to be a couple of girls you liked, I met my wife while we were in college," said Kokubu, "Here you go again with stories of your wife, why do you tell them in front of the single guys" Sato complained to which the female teachers laughed
"Yuiga-sensei, why don`t I pour you some more sake, you seem to be able to handle your liquor" said Fujita as she approached him, "Oh no that`s quite fine, I`m not that good with alcohol" said Narayuki, "Nonsense Yuiga-sensei, it wouldn`t be right if we were the only ones enjoying ourselves," said Fujita as she poured some sake into his glass to which Narayuki caught quite a glimpse, "She`s so close to me, not to mention I can see her cleavage," Narayuki thought as he turned red to which he noticed Mafuyu glaring at him giving him a look that said don`t you even dare try to flirt which scared Narayuki to which he chugged the glass of sake down, "Oh man, is this why some people don`t like to drink?" Narayuki thought
"Oh Kirisu-sensei," said Narayuki as he broke the ice, "I gotta say, I`m a bit surprised that you joined us, you would usually be the type to not go to these kinds of events, what changed your mind?" Narayuki asked, "Change, I decided that I should try to open up to me colleagues, it might help me out in the long run since we`re all teachers," said Mafuyu as she took a sip of a glass, "Uh Kirisu-sensei, that`s my glass," said Takiwara to which Mafuyu starting wobbling around, "Oh boy, what was in that cup?" Narayki asked as he knew what was gonna happen, "Just some sake" Takiwara replied, "Oh crap this is bad, if the other teachers see her like this, she`ll lose face as a teacher," Narayuki thought, "Hey it`s getting pretty late, me and Kirisu-sensei are gonna head out early, see you all tomorrow" said Narayuki as he picked up Mafuyu and quickly left the room, "Why are those two leaving so early?" Suzuki asked, "Let them be, they`re both gonna be busy unlike us, Fujita pour me another glass of sake," said Sato to which the other teachers drank as the night was still young
"You`re such a good boy Yuiga, that`s why all the ladies like you," said Mafuyu in a slurred voice as she petted Narayuki as he carried her, "Don`t move so much Sensei, you`re drunk right now," said Narayuki, "Me drunk, no I`m not? Why are there three Yuigas there?" Mafuyu asked, "Never mind that, where`s your place?" Narayuki asked anxiously, "Oh it should be up here," said Mafuyu as she pointed to an apartment complex, "Alright, let`s get you to bed," said Narayuki as he opened the door to her apartment to which he was greeted to a familiar sight, "Holy crap, did World War II happen in here?" Narayuki thought as he saw the mess in Mafuyu`s place, "I`ll place her in bed for a bit, I better clean this place up before it becomes a hazard" said Narayuki as he started picking up some books and trash on the floor, "I guess some things will never change" Narayuki thought
"Huh, what happened, where am I? My head hurts" Mafuyu thought as he woke up, "Why am I back home and why is there noise in my home? Did someone break in?" said Mafuyu as walked out to the living room to see Narayuki tying some garbage bags up, "Yuiga, what are you doing here?" Mafuyu asked, "Well we went to dinner with the other teachers and well you got drunk there" Narayuki explained, "Did anyone see me while I was drunk?" Mafuyu asked nervously, " I managed to get you home, but not before hearing you say some interesting things," said Narayuki to which Mafuyu turned red, "What did I say, tell me Yuiga" Mafuyu pleaded to which Narayuki chuckled a bit, "It`s nothing too embarrassing, here drink some of this, it`ll help you feel better, I`ve also cleaned up your place a bit, but please try to keep this place clean," said Narayuki as he put a sports drink in front of her,
"Oh thanks, it`s pretty late now, you should head home soon," said Mafuyu as she looked at the clock, "Yeah, but I was thinking that if we`re gonna be working together, why don`t we exchange contact information, I might have questions I might want to ask," said Narayuki as he pulled out his phone, "Oh uh sure," said Mafuyu as they exchanged contacts, "Great, see you tomorrow then," said Narayuki as he left
"Guess it was fate that destined us to be together once again," both Narayuki and Mafuyu thought as they knew this was gonna be a fun time together as adults
The Next Day
"What happened to you guys?" Narayuki asked in disbelief as he saw the other teachers with their heads down seeming sick, "It`s nothing Yuiga-sensei, we just drank too much, oh my head`s killing me someone get me a sports drink" said Suzuki, "We`ll be fine by the afternoon, the hangover takes some time to wear out" said Sato "Yuiga-sensei, let`s get going, I hope your ready today" said Mafuyu, "Right, let`s go then" said Narayuki as he grabbed a stack of papers along with his book, "Is this why you never join the other teachers to hang out?" Narayuki asked, "Precisely, I just hope you don`t become lazy like that," said Mafuyu, "Oh no trust me, two glasses of sake were enough for me for one night" Narayuki replied as they walked to the classroom, "I hope you`re ready for what`s to come with being a teacher since we haven`t even gotten to the tough part yet" Mafuyu thought as she sat down near a desk to observe Narayuki
