Basikov says "Guards, take the spots of the guards at the front of the Barrow Palace, and then you let me in. We need to make it look as convincing as possible so nobody catches us."
The two Madaw members understood. The two go up to the two front guards of the palace and tell them that they are on breaks and they will take over for the rest of the day. The Lartuen's front guards agree to it.
Basikov "tells" his guards " I am a top military man, and I have been requested by leader Lartuen, himself."
The guards keep the act and say "Right this way sir."
Basikov is now on his own. He must be the one to take out Lartuen on his own. He realizes he has no need to be as stealthy as he has an "approved" visit. He heads up to the leader's chamber.
Basikov reaches the chamber and says "I have been approved to visit you, my leader."
Lartuen says "I never remember inviting any military commanders for today. You must have been thinking that today is a different day. "
Basikov says "No, I was scheduled for today." He pulls out his scythe.
Lartuen shouts "Guards, seize him." There were at least 10 guards rushing to Basikov. Basikov throws his scythe and takes out four of the guards. He takes out his sword and makes quick work of the other guards.
Lartuen says "Your training has served you well, but you are nothing without your two weapons."
Basikov drops his sword and scythe and responds "Underestimation is the biggest fall to the arrogant".
The two exchange blows with their fists, but it isn't long until Basikov figures out where he can place the finishing blow.
He gets Lartuen focused on his normal fist. He keeps them locked,
Lartuen said "Do you really think you can beat me in my own palace?"
Basikov said "Only for your lack of observance."
He used his knife hand and slashed Lartuen rib cage. Barrow Wight males are often described as skeletons with life, hence the reason why Basikov optimized armor so his ribcage is much less vulnerable.
Some bones at the rib cage were damaged and Lartuen has dropped dead. His job has been complete. He has never expected that he would amount to something big, let alone the leader of his lands.
