CHAPTER 8:
TRAINING AND HUNT PT.1
Hello there! I am back with another chapter! Last chapter we saw how Naruto and Kakashi searched for any information on the whereabouts of Jiraiya. This chapter we would be starting with the Training that Naruto will go through. So, without further ado, Let's begin!

FOREST NEAR TESTSU NO KUNI
It was night time, the entire area was dark. The only source of light in the forest was the light from the moon, which shown above. There was an eerie silence around the area. Even the insects or other animals were not making any kind of noise.
The silence of the place was broken by the sounds of footsteps. It was approaching a small clearing in the forest. It was hooded figure; his face was unnoticeable due to the hood. There was belt around his waist which contained the insignia of Iwa. The insignia shone brightly in the night.
"Hmm... so Danzo has sent help, huh" he said, to no one. Silence ensued after he said those words
After a few moments the silence was broken by a voice, which was a little distorted, "Yes, we will provide you support" said the unknown person.
"Quite the bold move from that Warhawk. Helping us takedown the Last Namikaze..." said the Iwa shinobi.
"Naruto Namikaze is a thrown to Danzo-Sama's plans, so he must go. We would assist you only this time, but don't expect any comradery" said the unknown voice.
"Though I was surprised that he sent you Pride, the best of his men" said the Iwa Shinobi.
"Same could be said about you Kinmachi of Explosion Corp, one of the best of the CORPS" said Pride.
"hehehe, now we need to succeed, Afterall I have heard that the Namikaze is quite good" he said sarcastically.
"Don't take him lightly, for those who have taken him as such have never returned" said Pride.
"We will see..." said Kinmachi, he then vanished in an earth Shunshin.
"Naruto Namikaze, your end is near. You will die for the betterment of Konoha" said Pride as he too vanished in a leaf shunshin.
IN TETSU NO KUNI (AT THE SAME TIME)
IN THE INN NARUTO AND KAKASHI WERE STAYING
The last two days can be said to have been hectic for both Naruto and Kakashi. It has already been three days since both Konoha shinobis have arrived in Tetsu. Naruto was already a little late for the start of his training. He had planned to start his training on the third day after he arrived in Tetsu, he was late by a day. The search for information on Jiraiya had taken more time than they thought.
After discovering the house, they had increased their effort to find more clues about his whereabouts. Unfortunately for them, they didn't get much information from that point on. Only small bits of information on the shops Jiraiya visited, even then the shop owners weren't much help.
At present Naruto and Kakashi were making their way towards the Fall of Summer. It was a mile from the main town, surrounded by snow covered forest on all sides. Though only he could enter the falls, Kakashi still went with him. There were always guards at the entrance so it was not a problem.
They had gone to Mifune's to get his paper of request signed. Naruto chuckled at the particular memory. Though Mifune was a master of controlling one's emotions, the guards were not. The entire time Naruto and Kakashi were there, the guards were as stiff as a board. Anything either Naruto and Kakashi said, made the guards to constantly twitch. It was amusing to say the least.
As they walked through the dense snow-covered forest, he thought of the training he was going to take. With the lake's water distorting his chakra control, he planned to use that to move the sands that were on the snow-covered ground around. This was an advanced Chakra control exercise as well. If he is able to use the nearby sand masterfully, the normally he will be unmatched in using his Jiton. He had heard that the Third Kazekage trained at this fall to improve his Jiton as well. Well, with the advanced control of one's chakra, the Third Kazekage became one of the strongest shinobi to live at his prime.
"Were nearly there" said Kakashi, without looking up from his books.
"Yes, I will be going inside the falls, you will wait outside the falls Kakashi-nii" said Naruto.
"Yes, that's what we planned after all" said Kakashi. He then continued, "Tell me Naruto, how will your control over your Chakra would be if you succeed in the training to the point you want"
"Enough to learn nearly all the medical Ninjutsu's that Tsunade knew" said Naruto, smirking at Kakashi's expression of shock. It was not unexpected, since if he can complete this training, he would be the only tenth person in history to do it.
"Incredible" said Kakashi, 'With that kind of control Naruto would be unstoppable force. With such high Chakra Control, he could very well do advanced and complicated Jutsus with the minimum number of hand seals. Not to say that he could become one of the best medic's there is' thought Kakashi. 'Naruto you really are something else. If anyone who can take the title of Hokage from Sandaime-Sama, it is you, in my opinion' again thought Kakashi.
They soon reached their destination. It was one of the most beautiful scenes that Naruto had ever seen in his young life. There was huge stream of clear water was falling between two cliffs in a small lake beneath. It was surprising to say the least that the lake never swelled with water. There were sand and stone on the lands near the fall. It was less in quantity, but enough to complete the training. There was stage set on the fall, where the water collided constantly with the individual who would be training, distorting his chakra control.
For the first part of training, Naruto had to sit on the stage and try to control all the sands in the nearby crater on the side of the cliff. Once filled the cave behind the waterfall would open. The second stage is always kept a secret. But one thing was clear is that the cave led to a clearing in the mountains for the next and final part of the training.
The final part consists of meditation mainly, he would dive into his mindscape and train both his mental fortitude and Chakra. If successful, then Naruto would be able to control not only sand but also normal soil. He would also be able to perform certain other techniques with his Jiton, which even the present Kazekage couldn't do.
Kakashi would be staying outside of the cave if Naruto manages to complete the first step and enter the cave. Problem would be that after the second part of the training, Naruto wouldn't be able to use his Chakra for 24 hours, since the new potent chakra would take time to adjust. That, added to his exhaustion would leave him very vulnerable.
As Naruto and Kakashi made their way towards the fall, they were stopped in their tracks by a voice, "Halt! Do you have permission to use the Fall of Summer from Mifune-Sama?" asked one of the guarding Samurai as he came out of the cabin.
Kakashi went forward and handed them the scroll which contained the permission letter. The Samurai guard took the letter and looked through its contains. He nodded his head and looked towards us, "Very well, you have the permission. But if you complete the training of first step, then one of you will have to stay outside while the other makes their way into the cave" said the Guard.
Naruto and Kakashi nodded their head at the words, it is then they proceeded to unpack their stuff to set a tent in the nearby area. Naruto discarded his woolen jacket and went on the stage. It was fairly early in the morning and he could very well start his training.
He went up and placed himself on the stage set up over the fall. The slight warm water of the fall was hitting his body. He could feel his chakra system acting on the contact and that marked that the water had started to influence his chakra system and control.
Noticing this, Naruto tried some other jutsus first to see how much of his control was shot by the waterfall. He was shocked to see that nearly seventy percent of his control was shot. Even the thirty percent that remained was far from great. Overall, he could say that he had an average genin level chakra control.
Naruto tried to move the sands in the nearby area towards the crater in which he was supposed to fill the entire sand in one go. So, to accomplish that he needed to control the entire sand in the area at once, which would have been a piece of cake for him, had his control not been distorted to such a degree.
Naruto concentrated in using his chakra to gain control of the sands around him, but alas he could gain control to a bare minimum of it. He then tried harder to concentrate, but the results were same. He looked towards the sky and sighed. This was going to be a long and hard day...
AT NIGHT
Naruto was lying down on the floor of the tent resting from the hard training of the day. He had been continuing the training for until the sun had set. He started making progress after the afternoon lunch. He understood what he was missing during the training. He was missing the calmness of mind. Even though he was concentrating hard, his mind was not calm. He had to feel the sand around him, only then will he be able to control it. Though this idea was kind of shared by Kakashi when he was talking about a calm mind during the lunch.
After applying his theory, he saw that he had improved the control over the sand in the nearby area. He could now move about twenty percent of the sand in the area. It was not much, but it still was an achievement for him. He had noticed that with such distorted chakra control he had much difficulty in controlling the sand around.
He was at this moment resting before he would start dinner. Kakashi was making something, Naruto didn't have enough energy to say anything about that. Kakashi was on the lower spectrum in Konoha in terms of cooking. In simple words he was very bad in it.
"Naruto it's ready!" called out Kakashi from outside of the tent.
"Coming" said Naruto as he slowly picked his tired body up and went outside the tent for dinner.
"Well, I have cooked some rice balls and some salmon fish dig in" said Kakashi smiling.
Naruto nodded his head and took a rice ball in his hand, "Itadakimasu" he said and took a bite of the rice ball. To his surprise it tasted good. "Wow Kakashi-nii, it tasty. I never knew you could do this" said Naruto with a hint of wonder in his voice.
"Oi! What is that supposed to mean?!" asked Kakashi with mock anger in his voice.
"Nothing at all" replied Naruto calmly.
The dinner was relatively peaceful event after that. They talked about his training and how does he plan to progress from there on out. He had a plan in motion so he didn't need to worry too much. Naruto hoped that by the end of the week, he would be starting on the last part of the test inside the cave.
After having dinner, both Konoha shinobi went in their respective tents to have a good night's sleep. The next day was again going to be hard one for both of them.
FOUR DAYS LATER
*SWISH* *SWISH*
The sound of wind flowing through the area could be heard. The entire sky was darkened. Anyone would just brush it of as a cloudy sky, but if one would look, they would see a huge swirl of sands floating in the sky acting like a cloud.
Below the sand, on the stage stood Naruto, with his hands extended towards the sky controlling the sands through his Jiton. The entire sand of the area was floating in the sky. Over the side both Samurai guards and Kakashi could only gaze with amazed expression towards the scene in front of them. They were amazed by the fact that Naruto had completed the first step this quickly.
It had taken Naruto only five days to complete the first step of the training exercise. He had improved on his chakra control and mental fortitude to such an extent. His chakra also had somehow became even more potent than it originally was, resulting in the enhancement of his Jiton bloodline. He now didn't need much chakra consumption for completing his Jiton techniques.
Naruto slowly took the entire quantity of sand and dropped in the crater. For the first few minutes nothing happened, then the ground started rumbling a little. All of them waited with baited breaths, as they saw a huge doorway made itself visible. The large stone door slowly moved away leaving the way in a cave. The rumblings of the ground also stopped once the door was completely open.
"Now, you will be going inside the cave, the other one will be staying here with us. Once you complete the test, you will be returning. Also, there will be other animals and some winter fruits there. Until you complete your training you will have to suffice your hunger through those" said one of the Samurais.
"Very well, I have a question though" said Naruto. He needed one info from these guards. The guards for that matter stayed quite giving the indication for him to continue. "How would I exactly know that the training over? Mifune-Dono asked me to ask you lot for that" said Naruto.
"Well, once you complete the next stage, you will see that you can feel the chakra around the soil. You will feel one with the environment, you will be able feel chakra around you. Once you start feeling that, then the training would be over" said the guard.
Naruto nodded his head in understanding. He descended from the stage to pack up for a day or two. He knew that it would take him that much time to complete the entire process. He has to meditate for two days straight.
"Well, Kakashi-nii you wait here, I will be back before you know" said Naruto smiling.
"Be careful Naruto. If you need help, don't be late to ask for help" said Kakashi seriously. When Naruto nodded his head, Kakashi smiled at him.
Naruto then made his way into the cave to make his journey to the clearing where he will be meditating. Kakashi saw him leaving, couldn't help but feel a sense of apprehension.
WITH NARUTO
Naruto made his way towards the clearing through the cave. After walking for few minutes, he saw light coming from the other side of the cave. He quickened his pace, and soon he was in a clearing in a deep forest. He glanced around and saw that this place was very beautiful. He could see a small stream heading towards the one direction. The water in the stream was not frozen, when he touched the water, he felt his control getting shot a little. That confirmed the water to be the same with the one in the Fall of Summer.
He looked around and finally noticed a sitting setup under a tree. It was made as if someone would use it to meditate. He then looked towards the direction the stream was flowing and followed it. Soon he saw that he was heading towards another mountain cliff. He then finally understood that he was somehow transported to the top of the cliff of the Fall of Summer.
Naruto went back to the clearing and started preparing for his training. He first ate some of the rice balls he had brought with him. After finishing his little treat, Naruto went under the largest tree and sat in a cross-legged position. He closed his eyes and focused in his mind. It took him a few minutes before his erratic breathing slowed down. That marked him that he was calming his raging mind.
Soon, he was breathing slowly and his body was completely still. His eyes were closed and he was perfectly calm. Seeing that his body was now in a state of peace and calm, Naruto decided to slowly start to enter his mindscape. But even after trying for a few minutes he didn't had any success with it.
For the next half an hour, Naruto kept trying to enter his mindscape. Seeing that he had very little success, he decided to meditate a little more. He tried again after calmly meditating for another fifteen minutes. This time he felt that he was slowly entering the mindscape. But the connection was broken prematurely, seeing that he still needed more concentration he dived back into meditating.
After two hours to more meditating did Naruto finally managed to enter his mindscape. Naruto when he entered his mindscape, he saw that it was beautiful. There was landscape filled with lush green grass and small yellow flowers. He knew that mindscape showed an individual's mental condition, and he was happy that he didn't have any kind of trauma. He did notice a certain portion of the mindscape having dead grass, Naruto thought that it was because that his parent's death and his abandonment in the hands of his godparents.
Slowly making his way towards the lake that was situated in his mindscape, he noticed that was filled with a blue color liquid filling it. He came to the conclusion that it was his Chakra pool. He knew that he has to decrease this pool and make it more potent at the same time. The problem was that it was much more difficult process than it sounded. If he makes any mistake it will affect his psychic.
Naruto slowly sat down in front of the pool and started concentrating to try move the chakra inside the pool. Naruto noticed that he failed spectacularly at even to cause any ripples through the pool. Naruto sighed, it was going to be a long time, before he can complete the exercise. He now knew that now it will take more than two days.
FOREST IN TETSU NO KUNI
Twenty hooded figures sat in front of the fire. It was night time, the moon was out. These figures were divided in two groups, one with twelve members and the other was eight.
"So, Namikaze inside the cave of Fall of Summer huh" said Kinmachi.
"Yes, we will get the perfect chance to capture and kill him" said Pride, he along with seven other shinobis were wearing masks with the word 'ROOT' written on it.
"Killing him is out of the question! We will capture him and take him back to Iwa!" said one of Kinmachi's subordinates.
Pride and the other ROOT nin didn't like the idea very much, Pride then said, "There was no talk about keeping him alive. You might just want to use him as a bargaining chip. Our orders were to kill him"
"And ours's was to capture and bring him alive. Iwa is thankful to your master for the Namikaze's information but don't expect us to follow your rules" said Kinmachi.
Pride cursed mentally, he knew that if not handled carefully, the situation might become messy. He looked towards Kinmachi and said, "Very well, you follow your orders and we will support you"
Kinmachi nodded his head, "Then do we know when to attack?" he asked.
"Yes, in two days he would finish his training. I have gathered intel that after this training, the user is not able to use his chakra for twenty four hours. We will strike at that time" said Pride.
"Hmm, why not now?" asked another Iwa nin.
"There are a lot of people around, and an all out fight is one that we should avoid. Samurais and Kakashi are two people not many can face. Notwithstanding that Namikaze with his chakra is a splendid shinobi. Without his chakra, we can capture him without any casualties" said Pride.
"It is a nice plan. We will follow this, for now some of us keep an eye on him. We will start the mission in two days" said Kinmachi, the others just nodded at this.
TWO DAYS LATER
WITH NARUTO
INSIDE THE MINDSCAPE
It has been two days since they have started the second part of the training, and safe to say until now that it has been a success. As Naruto sat in his mindscape in front of his chakra pool, he could see that the quantity has decreased by fifteen percent, but his potency of his chakra has increased by much. It was surprising to see that with such little amount chakra loss, the potency has increased that much. Now he can do the 'Water Style: Water Dragon Bullet' with just ten hand seals. That was the lowest number of seals required to perform it.
That achievement right there showed that Naruto's chakra is very potent and his control is at least low Kage level. He can now perform many jutsus with relatively much less chakra. Due to his increased potency, the chakra consumption also has decreased.
Along with increased chakra control, his espionage and stealth skills have skyrocketed. He will be able his 'Chameleon Jutsu' with deadly efficiency. He could stand with other sensor type nins in a room and they won't be able to sense him. Also, with increased chakra control he can now learn Medical Ninjutsu, also he can now try some of the Genjutsus as well. He can probably now become an all-around shinobi, something very few people can become.
Naruto then decided that it's time to finish the training, as he has gained great results from the training. So, he closed his eyes and soon he disappeared from his mindscape.
OUTSIDE THE MINDSCAPE
Naruto slowly opened his eyes in the real world, he looked towards his surrounding that it was late evening, probably six in the evening. The sun was still had set, but the sky has yet to completely darkened. There was cool breeze flowing through the area. He could see that his birds in the sky moving towards their nests to call it a day.
Naruto slowly started to rise to his feet, but soon a wave of exhaustion hit him. He stumbled a little and quickly got a hold of himself. He knew that he couldn't use his chakra for the next twenty-four hours, so that his new potent chakra can adapt to his body and doesn't cause any adverse effects. He needed to be careful of the fact, because now he could cause serious damage to his chakra pathways.
Naruto slowly started to move towards his tent to quench his thirst. He could feel the chakra flowing through the soil and surrounding environment. His sensing ability was still shot and will take about three to four hours to work how it used to normally work.
He kept his bottle and was about to head to the fire place he had set up, when he suddenly felt movements in the surrounding. Before he could react, he was quickly surrounded by nearly fifteen ninjas from all sides. He was surprised first, and that gave the shinobis the needed time to prepare for attack. They threw some shuriken towards him.
Naruto cursed loudly and pushed his exhausted body out of the way of the shuriken. He gathered himself but his exhaustion prevented him from dodging the kick sent his way. The powerful kick landed right in his chest and launched him towards the tree. He went crashing into the tree and fell into the ground on his face.
He looked up from his position, he ignored the pain coming from his body from the impact. He could tell that these were powerful and well-trained ninjas. He then looked closely and noticed the Iwa headbands on the head of some of them. He rasped out, "Why are Iwa shinobis here?" he asked.
"Hmp! To capture you Konoha scum" said one of them.
Naruto hearing pushed himself up on his trembling legs. Exhaustion and Chakra adapting process had already put him on a great disadvantage. He knew that his chances were slim if not non-existent, but he wouldn't go down without fight. He took out two kunais and held them in reverse grip.
Seeing his stance three of them jumped at him. Seeing them coming Naruto prepared himself. The first one who reached him slashed his tanto horizontally, Naruto brought his Kunai and blocked it and used the other swipe it in his chest giving him a deep gash. The shinobi jumped backwards when the second shinobi swung his own tanto. Naruto sidestepped from it's trajectory and threw his kunai aiming at the head, the shinobi was just able to move his head and dodged it. Naruto had capitalized on that and landed a dropkick on his head, that send him skidding backwards.
But before he could do anything else, his body was attacked by a lightning attack. He fell down paralyzed due to the techniques after effect. His exhausted body was giving out and his vision got blurry. He looked with anger at the third ninja who was wearing a smug expression on his face.
"Don't hate me Namikaze, hate your father who was responsible for making a enemy of Iwa" said the Iwa shinobi.
"Why you..." rasped out Naruto before his vision was covered in darkness as he lost his consciousness.
"Pick him up and let's take him back at the camp" said one of them. The others moved in and picked up Naruto's unconscious body and left the area swiftly.
THREE HOURS LATER
Pain, huge pain is what Naruto felt at the moment. His world was spinning around him, he was feeling dizzy and nauseous. He slowly opened his eyes to look to his surroundings. There was one of them sitting there, with his back towards Naruto. He was in a tent, and from the temperature of the place, he could surely say that they were still in Tetsu no Kuni.
He looked at his own condition as best as he could, and from the pain in his chest he could say that he might have some fractured ribs. His legs were free, but his hands were tied behind the chair he was made to sit on. He tried to concentrate to try to sense his surroundings. After a few minutes he could sense twelve members around him in five hundred meter radius. His chakra wasn't back to use any kind of ninjutsu other than the basic three, but he had enough chakra to access the sealed kunais and shurikens on his wrist.
Naruto closed his eyes, in an act of showing that he was unconscious. His mind was working frantically, to come up with a plan of escape. He had sensed one of the chakra signatures making his way towards Naruto's tent.
"Man, this sucks. The storm had to start now. By this time, we would have been in the earth country" said the shinobi who was sitting in Naruto's tent.
"Yes, but the brat did a number on both Yuko and Kuno, one's got a broken neck, and Kuno's wound just wouldn't stop bleeding" said the new person that came in the tent. During this time Naruto had used his chakra to unseal a Kunai from his wrist and had started to cut the rope binding his hands. He was doing subtly so that the other two don't notice it.
"And what about those ROOT scums, have they left?" asked the Guard shinobi.
"Yes, they left a long time back" said the other shinobi.
Naruto mentally was surprised by this piece of info, it only meant that he had been sold by someone in Konoha. Naruto knew that only Danzo controlled the ROOT, and that old timer might have wanted him gone for some reason. Naruto decided to dwell on this information for later, as he needed to escape first. He freed his hands from the bind, but kept them positioned as if he was still tied. He closed his eyes and took out another one of his sealed kunais. He then threw the previous kunai a bit away, towards the back of the tent from him to gather the attention of the one of them.
Hearing the sound of the kunai falling, one of them said, "What was that?". The other person looked backwards towards the darker part of the tent, "I don't know, you wait here and keep a watch on the entrance. I will go and see what's the matter" said the one looking at the other end of the large tent. He stood up and went towards the other end, while the other shinobi kept looking at the entrance for any intrusion, his back towards Naruto.
As the shinobi passed Naruto, he opened his eyes and got ready to move. He slowly stood up, without making any noise and went towards the other shinobi, seeing that the other was not facing him. As the other shinobi was checking the tent for any signs, Naruto quickly took out the other kunai, jumped and pressed it through the head of the person, killing him on the spot. He made a light scream, which made Naruto to jump to the other side and hide behind the big container present in the tent.
Hearing his scream, the other shinobi snapped his head towards that direction, only to see that Naruto was missing, and the body of his partner was lying on the ground. He ran towards the partner to check on him, only to see that a kunai was engraved in his brain and he was dead. Before he could go and alert the others, he felt sharp pain in his throat and heard another squelching sound coming from near his chest. He looked down, and to his horror, saw that a kunai was coming out if his throat and another was engraved into his chest which was causing heavy bleeding.
He looked up and was greeted by the sight of a cold, icy glare from two sapphire eyes. It was the last thing he saw, as darkness soon covered his vision for eternity.
Naruto stood there and saw the second shinobi fall dead at his feet. He sadly sighed at this, he never enjoyed killing, far from it. But now he needed to escape, and living them alive was detrimental to that. He quickly went over the dead bodies and searched them for anything useful. He found nothing except for a few kunais and shurikens. He then turned his attention to the container. Naruto quickly opened it and luckily for him, there was tantos and other things. He picked up a scroll and saw that it was filled with earth jutsus, nothing that he didn't know or was unavailable in Konoha, so he left it there. He then caught the sight of one of his favorite things, exploding tags. Though not as good as the one he can make, but for now they would do. He quickly took all the two hundred tags, and a ninja wire and some Kunais and a tanto. He put them in his sealing scroll on his wrist and left the tent.
Seeing that his tent was at the last of all the tents, he escaped through the backside forest. He knew that he needed to make haste, as they would soon find out that he had escaped. Even though his body was injured and exhausted, he made beeline towards the forest.
THIRTY MINUTES AFTER ESCAPING
Naruto was jogging through the snow-covered terrain of the Tetsu no Kuni. He first wasn't able to judge any they might have done, but after escaping he found that he couldn't run due to immense pain in his ankles. When he stopped and checked he saw that they had broken his ankles to stop him from escaping them.
But even with that handicap, Naruto had been jogging albeit painfully for the last thirty minutes. His sensing ability has also returned to its fullest capabilities, but he still cannot use any ninjutsu. All that he can do with his chakra are the basic three, and can add the elemental chakra to the weapons. Plus, he can create upto three shadow clones now. That has come as boon in this situation. He had sent two clones in different direction to confuse them.
"Dammit! The pain is getting unbearable, I need to rest for a bit" said Naruto to himself. He had found certain footprints coming from a direction, and he hoped that it led to his former camping site. He has been keeping some distance from the trail. He sat down to catch his breath, he looked towards his ankle and saw that it had swollen. He knew that his speed wasn't fast at all, and that the shinobis would catch upto him very quickly with their now superior speed. He waited there for some time, and silently hoped that they aren't catching up on him.
He was resting when he caught three chakra signatures entering his range of sensing. They were all Jonin level, and Naruto knew that they were the Iwa Shinobi. "Oh Kami, they caught up" he said, cursing his bad luck. Naruto really hoped that Kakashi would have been here with him now. he quickly turned the gears of his brain and started formulating a plan. Fighting them head on was out of the question, seeing that in his present condition he wouldn't make it.
Naruto saw that they were already halfway to him, when he stood up. Eyes blazing with determination and anger. It was time to show them what Naruto Uzumaki-Namikaze could do.
WITH THE IWA SHINOBIS, AFTER NARUTO HAD ESCAPED
Kinmachi was sitting in his tent and viewing their route back home. The storm had also lost its strength. He was about to give orders to pack up and move out, when one of his shinobis barged through into the tent,
"SIR, THE NAMIKAZE HAS ESCAPED. THE ONE'S GUARDING HIM ARE DEAD!" shouted the shinobi.
"WHAT?!" roared Kinmachi hearing this. He pushed the shinobi out of the way and made his way to the tent that was holding the Namikaze. Entering, he saw that two of his men, lying dead on the other side of the tent. The rope tied to the brat's hand has been cut. He quickly checked the dead bodies, and saw that it hasn't been much time since they died.
"Gather everyone, we are moving out to find this brat. He hasn't gone far, seeing that we had broken both his ankles. He would be nearby so head out and search" ordered Kinmachi, as he moved out of the tent and made his way to the woods and waited for a few minutes for his team to arrive.
Once they did, Kinmachi and the others moved out into the woods, in search of Naruto. After travelling the same path that they travelled to get there for fifteen minutes, they found three sets of footprints going in different direction.
"Sir! Now what?" asked one of them.
"We divide in three groups and follow each of the trails. Once found give a signal and the others would move towards that direction. Here take these-" he handed them some tags, and continued, "These are flash tags, throw them in the air when you find that brat. The others would move towards the direction. Now go!" Kinmachi said. Followed by that, they divided in three groups and started trailing one set of footprints.
BACK WITH NARUTO
The group of Iwa shinobis were closing in on Naruto. They were pissed at the brat for killing some of their friends and had every intention to hurt him badly. Soon they saw a blonde silhouette running in front of them into the woods. He seemed to be struggling with running. They guessed it might have been with the fact that they had broken his ankles.
They quickly closed the gap between them, but by the time they had reached him, he was in front of a cliff. It was tall one and a fall from there could very well be fatal. One of them moved forward and tried to slash him with his tanto. But before the tanto could make contact, Naruto turned around and blocked the strike. He was surprised with the boy's reflex, but soon the surprise turned to horror as Naruto took out another kunai and slashed on his elbow viciously, severing it from his arm.
"AARRGG!" he screamed as leapt backwards creating some distance between them, "You brat you would pay!" he screamed angrily. One of the others had already used his flash tag. Naruto smirked a little, infuriating them to no end.
"Is that so, I don't see my arm lying on the ground" Naruto said tauntingly. Enraged the shinobi let his emotions control him and jumped at Naruto again, but his missing arm coming to his bad luck. As soon as he tried to slash at Naruto, who avoided the strike, he stumbled forward.
One of the other shinobi moved to slash Naruto, who was busy with the first one. As he swung his sword, Naruto somersaulted backwards and created a gap between the two of them. Standing close to them, he smirked. Both the shinobis moved together hoping to end him. Naruto moved as well but when he was able to block one strike from one of them, the other pierced his tanto through his midriff.
"Well, It's over brat! Now die!" said one of them. But he soon stood rooted in his place as he saw Naruto's smirk and couldn't help but feel doomed. Naruto quickly jumped and gathered the two Iwa shinobi's in a bear hug and jumped off the cliff. The two shinobis who weren't ready for such a move, couldn't help and were dragged off the cliff by Naruto.
"NO!" the third Shinobi moved to save his comrades but he was too late. Naruto who was hugging them said, "Boom!" and they were covered in a huge explosion, killing off the two of them. The third shinobi cursed loudly and couldn't help but feel enraged with the blonde Namikaze.
"Damn you Namikaze!" he shouted.
*SQUELCH*
The third one soon heard the sound of something piercing. He felt a stinging feeling, but couldn't understand why. He looked around and saw that everything was eerily quiet. He slowly saw that his vision was getting darker. He looked down and saw a tanto sticking out of his chest. 'Oh, this was the stinging feeling. But where' he thought when he caught the eyes of the blonde at his side.
"How" he rasped out. He was fading and fading fast. Naruto looked at him coldly and said, "Nothing that you should know" and then pulled out the tanto. The body of the third Iwa shinobi fell off the cliff after that, and his soul joining his comrades.
Naruto looked his body disappear from his vision and turned around to continue, but stopped dead in his tracks with the site in front of him.
"Well shit" …...
