Hello! So this is the next chapter of Light. I am so thankful to those that are still following and to new readers! I hope you all enjoy!
After about a week, we were at the airport that led to JFK. We were flying first class and I was sitting next to Kyoya. We ate food and chit chatted a bit, then we watched movies and slept the next few hours.
We were finally here. My hometown. New York City. The Big Apple. I came out of the terminal with Kyoya and looked for my ride. We had arrived right after dinner time and we were being awaited by Percy.
"Percy! Ahh! I missed you! How's your sister! How's Sally? What about Paul?" I spitfired questions as Percy laughed.
"Hey, slow down with the questions. My sister and my mom and Paul are all fine."
"How's my dad? Have you heard any news?" I asked again.
"I haven't but I know he's probably fine." Percy stated.
"I hope so. I just hope he doesn't fuck anything up too badly." I expressed.
"Well… so can you introduce me?" Percy asked.
"Yeah. This is Kyoya Ootori. My boyfriend. This is Mitsukuni Haninozuka. We call him Hani-senpai. This is Takashi Morinozuka. We call him Mori-senpai. This is Kaoru and Hikaru Hitachiin. Watch out they could be more trouble than the Stoll brothers. " I whispered the last part. Then I also said, "They all know that I'm a demigod. Guys, this is Percy Jackson." Percy nodded then went over to them.
"Well it's very nice to meet you all. Thank you for taking care of my friend." Then he turned to Kyoya and in his best low voice he said, "If you even think about hurting my friend you better brace yourself dude because I can't stand people who try to hurt my friends." Percy was scary when he needed to be. I mean yeah, the guy's been through some stuff.
"Of course. I'm a gentleman and I love Hina too much to do that. Also there is nothing in the world that I could ever gain if I hurt her. And I'm a man who does everything for profit." Kyoya said. I turned red at what he said.
"HmHM. Let's go now." I cleared my throat.
"Yeah. Let's go." Percy laughed.
We all went towards my family's old house that I bought with my savings. It was the house that gave me the most good memories. We loaded in the bags and said goodbye to Percy. Then we went to bed.
The next morning we drove to Boston to Haruhi and Tamaki's apartment to surprise them. They were for sure very surprised and pleased to find out they were all also studying near them.
For the next few weeks we just got adjusted. Well I was real busy helping defeat the stupid Roman motherfuckers. And defeat we did! Apollo's status as god was restored, and my life was back to as normal as it could get. Well after that, there was about a month and a half left of summer break. I was organizing a get together because the Host Club wanted to meet my New York demigod friends and my demigod friends wanted to meet the Host club and also my boyfriend. To threaten him. So I planned a bonfire at the beach. I called up a group IM with the 7, Thalia, Reyna, Nico, Will, and Grover.
"Hey so… Okay SHUT UP! Everyone stop talking. Just listen. I'm trying to host a bonfire in Montauk. Can we set a date? Alright in order from top left in a snake pattern, tell me when you're free. Go!" I ordered in my battle voice. After everyone said when they could be there we organized a time where everyone could make it. (this was a miracle bestowed by the gods) We were going up to the beach house in New York which was owned by the Hitachiin family. I had blue marshmallows ready for smores and food. Just some simple hot dogs. I was so excited to see all my friends in the same place.
We finally got to the beach and I was in my blue bikini with a brand new white lace cover up I had bought for today. I also had my special bracelet and necklace. We loaded out the food and our stuff into the Hitachiin mansion. It was about 3 in the afternoon now and everyone was supposed to get here by 5 or a little earlier. We set up the fire pit and set up all the food and stuff for the bonfire. (PIC)
At about 4:30 ish Percy, Annabeth, Reyna and Piper arrived first.
"Hey Guys! Piper! Reyna! Did you come up early?" I greeted each of them as I hugged them.
"Hey! Yeah I stayed at camp. We all did. Reyna and I came in Percy's car and Leo, Calypso, Will, Nico, Jason, Frank and Hazel are all coming in Leo's van." Piper answered. Yeah. Leo got a van. I really don't know why.
Shortly after, Leo's van full of my friends arrived. Then about a minute after they arrived Grover and Juniper just kind of came out of the woods. Then about a few minutes after that, Thalia was dropped off by Artemis in the moon chariot. Thalia had gotten a day off from her huntress duties.
"Hey guys! Welcome welcome! Okay so I believe introductions are in order. Why don't we introduce ourselves? I don't know. Well you all know me. Then… Annabeth you start." I said pointing at Annabeth.
"Okay. Hey guys I'm Annabeth Chase. I heard you all know about our parentage so I'm a daughter of Athena. " She introduced herself.
"Hey I've met most of you before but I'm Percy Jackson. Son of Poseidon." Percy waved.
"Hey! My name is Piper McLean. I'm a daughter of Aphrodite."
"Reyna Ramirez-Arellano. Daughter of Bellona and Praetor of New Rome." At this some of the Host Club members looked puzzled. So I just said I'll tell them later.
"Leo Valdez. Son of Hephaestus and bad boy supreme." Leo said white saluting with two fingers.
"Oh stop it honey please." Calypso rolled her eyes
"You know you like it, sunshine" Leo flirted.
"Calypso. I used to be an immortal titaness but now I'm a mortal. But I wouldn't have it any other way." She said seemingly ignoring Leo at first, then looking over him as she said her last statement.
"Umm okay guys. You're cute we get it. Although I do think Nico and I could be cuter." He said turning to Nico. "Hi. I'm Will Solace. I'm Leena's.. I mean Hina's half brother. (He thought the host club would be confused with the nickname) Meaning, I'm also a son of Apollo."
"Nico di Angelo. Son of Hades. Simply.. don't fuck with me." He said in a very monotone voice. Will smiled at him as the Host Club stared wide eyed at this 15 years old kid who looked 12, who was actually 85, threatening them with some harsh language. I just laughed at their open mouths.
"Okay okay. Wow. Umm haha. Uh, hey. I'm Jason Grace. Son of Jupiter. Nice to meet all of you."
"Hey. Um. I'm Frank Zhang. Son of Mars. Hey. Hi."
"Hello. My name is Hazel Levesque. I'm a daughter of Pluto. I'm Nico's half brother."
"Grover Underwood. Hey. Nice to meet you all. You may be wondering about the legs. I'm not a demigod. I'm a Satyr."
"And I'm a dryad if you're wondering about the green skin. Haha. Oh and my name is Juniper. My tree is the Juniper bush so… " Juniper gigled.
"Hey. Thalia. Just Thalia. Daughter of Zeus. I'm Jason's full sister." Thalia still wasn't in the habit of using her last name. Even though Jason wasn't missing/dead anymore.
"Okay so that was a lot of names. But we still have more to go. So Tamaki, go!"
"Hello! My name is Tamaki Suoh. Pleased to make your acquaintance."
"Hi. I'm Haruhi Fujioka."
"Hello, we're the Hitachiin twins!" They said together.
"I'm Hikaru."
"And I'm Kaoru." At the twins' introduction, the demigods all kind of looked frightened. They were probably reminded of the Stoll brothers.
"Hi! I'm Mitskuni Haninozuka! Who wants to eat cake with me?!" At that most of the girls kind of awed.
"This is Hani-senpai. He's 19 guys" I informed them. When I said this, they all looked very shook. I mean yeah. Who wouldn't be shocked.
"Takashi Morinozuka."
"He's my cousin."
"They're the same age." I said and yet again, they were shocked.
"Hello. Pleased to finally meet you all. I'm Kyoya Ootori. I've heard a lot about you." Kyoya said, smiling.
"Oh. yes. Kyoya. You're our Hina's boyfriend huh?" Annabeth slowly stepped towards Kyoya. This was inevitable so what was the point in trying to stop it. "If you even THinK about hurting her, I will plan your murder and execute the plan perfectly so that no one could ever find you. Okay I'm done with my threat now." Annabeth was really very scary. Kyoya really did look scared. He couldn't really even reply, and that was a rare sight.
"Nice job Annabeth but I have something to add to that threat." Thalia stepped forward. "Hina is the kindest girl I know so if you make even a single drop of a tear come out of her eyes, you are already dead. I have a whole army of girls who would love to kill a boy for their terrible actions so if you do anything to harm my girl over here, well you're going to be killed, brought back, then killed another time. Boy." She said that last word with so much.. Hatred. I mean the hunters' influence was strong for sure. She wasn't like this usually, right now she was just being threatening.
"Then you're going to suffer in the fields of punishment." Nico chimed in.
"Okay guys! I think he gets it." I yell at them. Then I turned to Kyoya and whispered, "But yeah you should know, they mean every bit of what they just said. They all have the ability to do that."
"Okay. Enough threats. Lets get eating! I am starving here!" Leo shouts out.
We get to cooking and eating the hot dogs. And we all sit around the fire, tell jokes, stories of our lives, and have a good time. As I was sitting on this beautiful beach with all my friends and loving boyfriend, I thought about the life I've led so far. The fire burned bright and we were all happy and content with the lives we all had right now. The love I had for each and every person here around this fire was as bright as the sun my father drives around. Somehow we ended up talking about how we had all been to the underworld one way or another.
"What? How? What do you mean 'one way or another?'" Tamaki asked.
"Well, Percy, Annabeth, Grover, and I have been to the underworld for a quest we did when we were 12. Leo hasn't been all the way to the underworld, but he has died and come back before. Jason has been dead before. I mean he was super dead before, then he came back because of 'complications' and Nico well… lived in the underworld for a bit. He is the son of Hades. And Hazel actually has also died before. She died in the 1920s but then got brought back a few years ago. Yeah pretty crazy. She's technically the oldest out of all of us." I explain. As I said each sentence, the Host Club looked more and more afraid.
"Calm down guys. It's all good now. We're all past the most dangerous age of demigods." Percy tried to calm them down. Well okay. Mostly Tamaki, because he was actually about to cry. But for some reason this just upset him even more.
"You mean all of you have to go through this when you are that young?" Tamaki cried. He was such a sensitive sweetheart.
"Umm yeah. It's fine. Don't worry about it." Annabeth reassured.
After that whole thing, Percy and Annabeth went into the water and stayed there for about maybe 15 minutes. Haruhi questioned this very unusual thing but was shortly answered by Jason who was cooking a hotdog next to her. The sun was still up and shining brightly. I was sitting directly in the sun talking to Will and Nico about their plans for school.
"So you're both going to Goode? Nico aren't you not a person in the government? Because you don't have a record do you?" I asked.
"Well yes. But Chiron called up a few other demigods higher up in the government and I am now an actual teenager going to school." Nico replied. Will and Nico were snuggled up with each other with Nico almost sitting on Will.
"Wait what do you mean? You weren't a person before?" Kyoya, who was now leaning his arms on my shoulders from behind me, asked.
"Well I was actually born in the 1930s but then because someone wanted to kill us, we had to go into this hotel where time passes differently. We thought we were there for about a month but we were actually there for 70 years." Nico said like he was somewhat bored.
"Oh. Well, you look very young for your age." Kyoya joked with a slight smile. It slightly scared me how Kyoya was so good at just accepting things like this sometimes.
Soon the sun went down and we all sat around the fire and roasted some blue marshmallows. Percy was very happy. We all stuffed ourselves with a lot of s'mores, chips, and other unhealthy snacks. I saw that Mori and Reyna were "talking" a lot. They were just hanging out. That's what I meant. I mean they seemed like they were getting kind of ~cosy~ ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Tamaki and Haruhi took a walk on the beach (Tamaki's brain theatre movie had been realized). We all had a very good time with only one monster attack. And it was only one Hellhound. Nico had seen it first and just took care of it before I could even get my bow. All in all, we had a very good time. At about 12ish we said our goodbyes. We all agreed we should do this again sometime and everyone went their separate ways. We went back to the Hitachiin beach house and said goodnight.
I went to Kyoya's room at about 12:30 and we just talked. A whole 2 hours later, we fell asleep snuggling. We woke up at about 10 and headed down for brunch.
"Hey guys. So did you all have fun yesterday?" I asked the rest of the bunch. We didn't have enough time to ask these questions yesterday because we were all so tired and anxious to get to bed.
"Yeah! Your friends were really fun to hang out with senpai." Hikaru said. All the others nodded or responded with some kind of noise voicing their agreement.
"Well I'm glad you guys all had fun." I said to the group then turned towards Kyoya. "Well maybe you had less fun considering you got some colorful threats and a few glances." I was laughing my ass off at this point because of Kyoya's disgruntled face, while he was remembering the events of last night.
After we got some brunch I headed out to train. I went to camp because I was more comfortable for me to train at. The rest of the Host club had gone out to see New York City. I trained until the sun was beginning to set. The sky had turned into a beautiful shade of orange, yellow, pink and purple.
I was supposed to meet up with them at the Empire State Building. Though they didn't actually know that Olympus was on the 600th floor of this particular building.
As I was approaching the building, I saw the group. They were waiting for me off to the side of the front doors. I quickly walked towards the group and smiled as I did.
We went inside and I headed straight to the man sitting at the front.
"Hey Jimmy. Can I get the key for the 600th floor?"
"There is no 600th floor kid."
"Look Jimmy, we have gone through this more times than I can count. Can't you stop doing that for me now? I mean I feel like we're past that now." I said as Jimmy just sighed.
"Look kid, this is my job and I have to do it. I mean you know the temper the boss has. So just give me some proof of magic and I can let you and your friends in."
"Fine. Here you go" I said handing him a bag full of golden drachmas.
"Thanks Hina." He said as he handed me a key card.
"No Prob Jimmy." I saluted him as I walked through, waving at the Host club to follow.
"How is this allowed?" Tamaki asked as we waited for the elevator door to open.
"Well I'm related to the people who run this place so, I guess you could say I have enough power to show my friends the best view in all of New York." I smirked as the elevator started to go up.
The elevator dinged open to reveal the glory that was Olympus. I was only looking at the reaction of my friends as the elevator door opened. Their faces were pure gold. They all looked like they had seen the most amazing thing in the world. Which.. I mean Olympus is the home of the gods.
"Guys? You okay?" I said laughing. They all sort of shook their heads with their mouths hanging open. "Well, I thought you guys are going to like this better than the 83rd floor observation deck of the Empire State building. Now, unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to show you the inside but come here." I said as I directed them towards the olympus observation deck, which was overlooking literally all of Manhattan.
"This place is filled with bitter-sweet memories but I think I just added one of my best memories of this place today." I said as I looked wistfully at the night sky. The sun was long gone. I thought about where I was standing. How far I'd come since I had first stood in this very spot all those years ago. It was the Titan war and I had stood at his very spot and looked over at the whole of Manhattan when Kronos had put everyone to sleep. Now the wars were over. I hoped there would be peace now. I just wanted to enjoy life with my boyfriend and friends.
