So this one is short. Really short. Like barely 500 words. So it's more of a drabble than anything, but Demetestrap content you asked for, Demetestrap content you will get. Ill do more of this adorable ship, I promise! Anyway, enjoy, and the next story will probably be Mistoria!
The alarm went off with a series of annoying beeps. Sunlight streamed through the window, piercing through the half open curtains like a blade.
Munkustrap woke slowly, rubbing his brown eyes. After shutting off the alarm, he sat up, his black hair a mess, as usual.
Glancing to the left, he smiled a little. Demeter, his recent fiancee, was fast asleep beside him, her gold streaked black hair a mess.
Munkustrap glanced at the clock again. He had a few minutes before both he and Demeter had to get to work.
Munkustrap worked as a museum guard. It wasn't a terribly large amount of money, but between his and Demeter's jobs, it was enough and some. He hoped that someday Dem wouldn't have to work, since he knew very well she preferred staying at home.
With a small smile, he hovered over her. She was so beautiful while asleep, so peaceful and with her guard down.
Munkustrap debated waking her. Unfortunately for him, she wasn't a light sleeper in any right, and it took a fair amount of effort to get her up.
But then again, they'd both be late for work if he didn't.
He stroked her cheek. She wrinkled her nose in sleep, but didn't wake up.
Munkustrap chuckled. He stroked the silky strands of hair back from her face, causing her eyelashes to flutter.
Slowly, he leaned in, his lips a breath away from hers. Then, hit by sudden shyness, he hesitated at last second.
Demeter opened one mischievous green eye. "If you don't do it, I will."
She said, reached up, and firmly planted her lips on his.
Munkustrap smiled through the kiss, his fingers weaving through her hair.
Demeter rested her hands on his chest and slowly pulled away, letting the kiss linger. "Good morning, handsome." She teased him.
Munkustrap smiled, pressing a kiss on her cheek. "Good morning."
Demeter flopped back onto her back. "Ugh…I want a day off." She complained playfully.
Munkustrap kissed her forehead. "So do I, my love. Believe me."
Demeter swung her legs over the edge of the bed with another yawn. "I suppose I should run a comb through this mess." She teased through the snarls in her hair with her fingers.
Munkustrap chuckled. "While you do that, I'll make us coffee."
"M'kay. See you in five, darling." Demeter yawned with a grin.
Once he had left, she glanced down at the gold ring on her finger and smiled.
This life was exactly what she wanted; with her soon-to-be husband and cozy little flat, the smell of coffee wafting from the kitchen…
Demeter smiled and flopped onto her back again, closing her eyes.
Maybe if Munkustrap came back to their room and found her "asleep", he'd carry her to the kitchen.
