Chapter 14 The letter
Jake got the letter and came running inside. Everyone was sitting in the parlor and saw the excited look on his face. He showed them the letter in his hand. He opened the letter and read it out.
"Dear Jake, Miss Peregrine, and children,
I have some excellent news for you all
Savannah has had her baby, and she had a little girl
she has named her Serena Alma Portman.
Your friend and grandfather, Abe."
Everyone smiled, and then Jake noticed the picture in the envelope. He pulled it out, he showed everyone the photo, and it had Savannah smiling, holding her daughter in her arms. Alma smiled and grabbed the photo from Jake, pining it on the kitchen wall for everyone to see.
Everyone went back to do what they were doing but was all thinking the same thing 'would they ever see Savannah again.' When it came to dinner time, they all looked at the picture before eating.
They all watched the reset before going to bed. They looked at the photo again before leaving to go to bed. Alma watched as Claire kissed the image before leaving the room. Alma looked at the picture while running her finger down the faces of Savannah and Serena. Alma went to bed.
