Chapter 15
Hecate had pulled Mildred out of the way just in time, so Agatha fell face-first into the ground. This made Agatha mad. Agatha got up, dusted her pants, and tried to lunge for Mildred again, only this time it was the Great Wizard that had grabbed Agatha and threw her away from Mildred. Mildred felt rather threatened by Agatha's advances and felt the need to change, so she let her magic change her.
There was a bright light that surrounded Mildred then disappeared, now her hair was in a different style, it was now in half up half down style with a french braid and pieces that came out to frame her face, her dress had also changed, it was now turquoise and purple, it was thin-strapped bodice with a corset style but cut out pieces on the sides and a square piece cut out of the front to show off the belly, the skirt was very flowy with a slit that goes all the way to her hip, it also had metal designs on the hips and a scythe design right in the bottom center of her stomach.
She also had metal tribal designed bracelets that went from her wrist to her elbows. Clear strappy heels adorned her feet with the same metal design on her wrists going up to her legs. Turquoise and purple crown with leaves and swirls adorned her head. Altogether she looked amazing. Her staff resting on her hip, gripped it tightly and released it from its holster.
Mildred swung her staff around in the air, and it started changing. It was now a scythe. She hit the scythe onto the ground, the ground shook and started to split, everyone didn't know what Mildred was doing and took a big step back.
As the gound was splitting, Mildred noticed something was emerging from the hole in the ground. She walked over to get a better look and noticed it was a rock of lava. "Well, that's interesting," said Mildred, thinking out loud. She got closer to the rock and was inspecting it when it started to move, "AHH!" squealed Mildred and jumped back.
The rock started to split, and out came and firey beast. "That's not a rock. It's an egg!" stated Hecate as she came over as she heard Mildred's scream.
Mildred stood shocked at the monster that just came out of the egg. It was huge. It stood about six feet. It was black with red veiny looking lines that looked like lava, with magenta eyes that looked like they could rip your soul out if you got to close. Mildred looked over at Hecate and laughed.
Everyone else also decided to come over and investigate just as Mildred recites the animal talking spell and looks at the beast. "What is your name?" asked Mildred. The beast growled out, "Flame." Mildred walked up to him and went to touch him but thought better of it, she may get burnt, but Flame placed his head on her shoulder and purred.
While Mildred and Hecate and everyone else were standing around, the Great Wizard, who had stayed behind with Agatha, didn't have time to yell out for Mildred to 'LOOKOUT' as Agatha had sent a spell towards Mildred. 'Flame' had used his massive body to shield Mildred. Agatha huffed and screamed as she had missed her target. Mildred and everyone else walked back over to Agatha.
Ada, Hecate, and the Great Wizard had all surrounded Agatha, so she couldn't escape while Mildred was getting ready to do the binding spell. Mildred strolled over to Agatha and placed her hand on her forehead, and Mildred chanted.
Binding spell
Chant
By air and earth, by water and fire.
So be you bound as I desire
By three and nine, your power I bind.
By the sun and moon, I will be done.
Sky and sea keep harm from me.
Cord go round power be bound.
The light revealed now be sealed.
Once Mildred had finished the spell, white orbs of light started flowing around Agatha. Once the spell was completed, Agatha fell to the ground breathing heavily. After she had recovered, she screeched "AAHH!" and tried to attack Mildred again.
Before Agatha could reach Mildred, Flame had jumped in front of Mildred just as the ground started opening up again and captured Agatha in his big claws, and jumped into the hole before it closed over. It was finally over.
Everyone could breathe easily. " It's over now. Let's go home," said Hecate wrapping her arm around Mildred's waist. "Yes, let's," replied Mildred. Hecate had transported everyone back to the academy.
A week later, after the battle, Hecate and Mildred were standing on one of the balconies at the academy when Hecate got down on one knee presenting a turquoise diamond ring with purple diamonds on the side of the ring and said, "Mildred, I love you so much will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?" Mildred said, "Yes, I will marry you." Hecate and Mildred kissed and went to tell the others the news.
