The Fox Trail

~Chapter 6~

(It's my inspiration for this chapter btw.) ^

(Note: The events written take place about 6 months before The Fox Trail, btw.)

This story starts with South waking up, taking a shower and having her third cup of coffee while looking out a window. South mutters "Another cold, desolate day at the facility…" while looking out the window. The snow was beautiful, but deadly. "Well, I may as well check on my dear sister Nora." South said with a sigh. Her sister was her favorite before Wakko. She walked down the hall towards a small cell door with a star on it. The star read 'Nora' on it.

She opened the door to a small, broken and sobbing figure on the floor. "Come now, Nora. Chin up, it's not a good look on you." Nora looked up from her sobbing with grey eyes. 'It's working… grey eyes, that's stage 1. Stage 2, continuous sobbing. Stage 3, subject becomes emotionally drained. Stage 4, subject goes into a zombie like state, obeying every command.' Her sister must have seen the look in her eyes, because her answer was chilling. "I… w-will n-never… obey… YOU!" She then lunged toward her evil twin and continued to attempt to maul her sister.

South quickly pulled out a pistol and… shot her. Her body fell limp to the ground. She wasn't breathing, her heart wasn't beating, she wasn't moving… She was dead. "No… no, no, no, NO NORA PLEASE! I'm so sorry… I didn't want this… just come back… please…" South sobbed over her sibling's dead body until Jack and James came and comforted her. (Do ya see why she wanted Glitch Wakko to suffer for her lackeys' death?)

James: "At least you still have us, and we won't leave you. Promise!"

South: "You… really mean it? You won't leave me like she did?"

Jack: "Of course! We only have each other, y'know. Gotta cherish that."

South: "Yeah. If anything happened to you two I'd make whoever hurt you two pay."

James: "We know ya would. Ya helped us with our negligent parents, and we made them pay. We would do the same for you."

South: "…Thank you…"

Back in the present…

No P.O.V

"Phew! That's a workout and a half. What do we do next, Jaeger?" Wakko said happily. (In case you're wondering, he doesn't wear the shock collar during training, but he does during his act in case he tries to escape.) Wakko had made good friends with Jaeger and had felt good around him. However, Jaeger acted like the other guards did when South or the Twins walked by. He wasn't supposed to be so nice to him, but he was when no one was looking. The two walked to the cafeteria, where Wakko got his collar put back on. "Sorry, you know that its protocol." Wakko nodded. He had been through the same song and dance for what felt like forever. When the other toons ate was usually the guards' lunch break, so Jaeger usually sat next to Wakko and protected him from idiots who had the audacity to hurt or steal from the cute bean.

By now, a couple months have passed, and South had gotten a text from her cousin Westley, who had an idea that would, and I quote: "Make millions on the black market after some… testing." He suggested a serum that would make toons immune to D.I.P, but it wasn't perfected yet, and like hell if he was gonna test it on his staff. South agreed under one condition, she got a 50% cut of the money. Westley thought this was unfair, as a fourth of his money was going to his scientist. South said this: "Well maybe you should stop hiring crackheads in an alleyway who charge you $50 an hour." Westley reluctantly agreed to the deal and said he was shipping the experimental serum over. "Now all I have to do is wait…" South said. Chaos was brewing, and this was the start.

~Chapter 6~

(Well, I hope you enjoyed this chapter! Sorry I'm a day late, but I had online school to do, and it took forever! I hope you can forgive me, because I can't until you do. Anyway, as always I encourage you to review because as expressed in previous chapters, I fangirl at new reviews. Also it sucked having to walk around because I split my knee open on a glass table in my house and it felt like my leg got crushed by an anvil, so it sucked just walking from my room to the dining room table. Yeah, I had bandages and gauzes and everything! It was gross, but anyway, thanks for reading, please review, and as always, goodnight everybody!)

Sincerely,

~Nora
