Chapter SIX: Encounter With the Unknown

The world stopped breathing. One by one the realization struck us as we took in the odds surrounding us. Two pro heroes, twenty four students, and an unknown amount of villains brought here for a single goal. The silence that stretched after the villain's announcement seemed to stretch into eternity as fear clutched at our hearts that morning. There was a darkness of uncertainty swirling amongst us before the panic rose from within.

These were actual villains, the true evil pro heroes face on a daily basis. Why were they here? That day, we learned the true dangers of being a hero. As we stared into the face of a villain with the warpgate quirk, none of us could have predicted how the day would end.

We were separated, launched into separate zones of the USJ, unaware of the dangers we would face.

A hiss slipped from Hatakiri's lips before he was washed away by the thick black smoke. His stomach leapt to his throat as his senses seemed to be stripped from him by the villain's quirk. The sensation of falling took over him, that coupled with the odd feeling of complete suspension had him quickly covering his mouth in an attempt to keep his lunch down. Before long, light flooded the abyss and blinded the boy further before he was quickly shunted from the portal. Tanjiro wasted no time before conjuring a platform to stand on, his hand still covering his mouth as he battled with the swelling lump in his throat. He shaped the platform he stood on into stairs, a new step forming with each step he took towards the ground, the ones he left behind quietly disappeared. Finally his foot hit solid ground allowing him to survey the area a bit more; he had done some on his way down but perception wasn't a strong suit of his.

Tch, what a dump this place is. I really hope I wasn't going to be sent over to this zone for training… well, if things went normally and we weren't attacked by villains that is. I swear if anyone in this class loses to some good for nothing villain I'm gonna kill 'em myself.

Hatakiri found himself quickly getting irritated as he wandered the zone, the place was a complete wreck. Dirt and mud covered the entire area, leaving what looked to be cars and other debris poking out of the ground while a couple of buildings protruded from the disaster that befell this place. He rolled his eyes as he walked only to cup his hands and start calling out to the empty zone.

"Oi! Anyone here?! If you're from class you can come out, you're safe or… whatever. If you're one of those stupid punks that attacked, just come out already so I can kick your ass and get it over with!"

He paused for a moment and pushed his glasses back as he punted a nearby rock into a mound of dirt, turning as he heard a bland "Hey" from behind him. Sticking his nose up and casting a glance over his shoulder to the voice, Hatakiri found a familiar boy standing close behind him. The boy's hair and blue uniform left Tanjiro sighing. One half red, one half white, the red half covered by an awful costume choice.

"Todorocky was it? Listen, you should probably reply sooner when someone calls out to you and not try to sneak up on them." He sneered, turning to face his classmate. Todoroki stared at his classmate blankly before turning his head to scan the surrounding area.

"Todoroki. Plus it's not a good idea to blindly call out, we don't know what or who else is here."

"Tch, does it matter? We're in a landfill zone. We could see whoever, whenever they approach."

"Landslide, and normally yes. Though seeing as you didn't, we best stay vigilant." Tanjiro rolled his eyes at the comment before scratching the back of his head, awkwardly kicking his foot into a dirt mound with a huff.

"Um, so icy hot?"

Shoto shot him a confused look, eyes narrowed slightly as he tilted his head. Did he really forget his name already or was he blatantly calling him something different? "What is it?"

"D-Did you get wrapped up in that smoke too?"

Todoroki gave a firm nod as he watched Tanjiro's confident demeanor crumple, his eyes wavering slightly behind his glasses as he ducked his head. The brash, unflinching guy was morphing into a bashful and timid character before Shiro's eyes. "I can easily get motion sick, and that quirk…"

Todoroki looked away, nodding softly as he continued to observe their surroundings. "Yeah, the cold motionless feeling, mixed with the sensation of plummeting. I can see-"

Shoto glanced back at his classmate just in time to watch him cover his stomach with one hand and his mouth with the other, his face turning a slight green hue before Tanjiro whipped around, finding the nearest crevice as he was relieved of his breakfast. Todoroki looked away in disgust in an attempt to tune out the sound of Hatakiri's heaving and the foul smell that filled the air.

"I won't bring it up anymore." Shoto groaned as he glanced around the area once more while Tanjiro cleaned himself up. A faint tremor slithered underneath the students feet before slowly growing more and more distinct. Shoto's brows pinched together as he readied himself for a fight. "Hatakiri." The tremors soon surrounded the boys and grew in strength to the point the ground began to rumble all while Hatakiri remained hunched over, he made sure to take his time to catch his breath and calm his stomach.

Meanwhile, the ground came to a stop, the tremors and rumbling ceasing. Todoroki turned to face the same way as his partner, while Tanjiro leaned a bit further down and stuck his head between his legs to look behind him. In that instant the ground around the duo shattered, villains launching from underground and attacking. Shoto slid his right foot along the ground, immediately intercepting the attacks on his side with a massive wall of ice. With an approving nod, Hatakiri pointed a finger towards his attackers, creating a translucent force field and halting the assault in its tracks before dispersing the quirk. Tanjiro stood up, turning to face his attackers, a sigh slipping from his lips as he corrected his glasses.

"You punks can't even let a guy hurl in peace?" A fiendish grin traced itself along his lips as he paused. "Hey, Icy hot, I bet I can take out more than you! Cmon, let's race!"

Shoto didn't take his eyes off his half of villains as he huffed a reply "Just stay out of my way." A couple villains laughed at the students' comments before a woman standing before Tanjiro called out.

"Oh you hear that boys? They think they can win this one, that's positively adorable!" She paused, placing a finger on her lips as she eyed the blue haired boy.

"I think I'll kill four-eyes first. He talks a lot, and I'm oh, so curious as to what he'll say when he's begging for his life!" Tension filled the air as both groups watched each other in a standoff, a moment dragged by before Tanjiro finally chuckled, pointing towards the woman.

"Listen boobs, I don't have all day. So if you don't mind I'm just gonna end this fight now!"

"You little BRAT!" The woman screamed as she aimed open palms towards the duo, energy swirling and crackling around her arms before letting loose a bolt of energy, accompanied by bullets and other projectiles shot by the other villains. Others rushed after the ranged attacks, attempting to overwhelm the two students. One brute began to shove others out of his way as he ran towards Hatkiri. Immediately, Tanjiro countered with another shield, dispersing the energy bolt and breaking his shield apart into a dozen orbs. Each one containing an object that was hurled at them in the assault; bullets, chains, rocks.

In a flash, Tanjiro launched a counter offensive, immediately directing the orbs at the villains. Each orb hit with the density of a lead ball, exploding on impact and using the energy from the explosion to propel whatever item was inside. A chain filled orb weaved past the oncoming attackers, connecting with the woman's side. The impact alone forced the air from her lungs while the explosion sent her spiraling off enthralled in one of her goon's chains. As the brute closed in on Hatakiri, a disgruntled shout leapt from Todoroki's lips.

"Out of the way Hatakiri!"

Tanjiro shot a glance back to his partner, seeing the malicious intent in his eyes Tanjiro recalled one of his remaining orbs. The orbs rushed back to him, sweeping the legs out from under the brute, knocking him up into the air and parallel to the ground. In quick succession Tanjiro grabbed hold of the orb and launched himself above the villain before sending the quirk into his chest, with a sickening crack the orb exploded propelling the brute into the ground just in time for Todoroki to slide his foot and suspend the mountainside in ice. Tanjiro scoffed as he landed on a platform just feet above the ice covered ground, his lip curling up in disgust as he surveyed the area. He huffed a sigh as he skipped off the platform and on to the ground while an awkward silence fell over the zone. Before the sound of ice crunching and giving way to the weight of boots filled the mountainside, as Todoroki joined his classmate. His face remained expressionless as ever as he spoke.

"We should probably reconvene with the others."

Hatakiri didnt bother to look his way, simply sighing and correcting his glasses before biting out "Your costume is stupid.." as he walked toward the zone exit.

In a sudden burst, Izumi was reaching for a purchase, anything, but Asashi's wrist was no longer there as the smoky tendrils of the villains quirk receded from her vision. There was nothing to hold onto as a sudden gust of wind was buffeting her, rain slashing like small cold whips across her skin. Fear was replaced with excitement as a smile cracked across her face. Izumi corrected herself mid air, using the air around her like a buffer and correcting her trajectory intermittently as she continued her descent towards the ground. With a deep breath, Izumi tucked and rolled before launching herself back to her feet as soon as her hands hit the asphalt, sliding to a stop in the middle of a vacant street.

Buildings and skyscrapers were towering around her, similar to the cityscape they trained in at the UA. With the fierceness of the wind and being separated from the rest of the class, Izumi could only assume the villain had teleported her and the other students to different zones within the USJ. Fortunately enough, she was in the windstorm dome and air was her strongest element. It was one of the closest to the main entrance, but the scope of the place was massive. As the rain continued to pelt her, before being absorbed by her quirk, Izumi looked around curiously.

If I can find the highest point, maybe I can find the way out and-

The hair on the back of her neck stood on end as several shadows converged from the alleyways between the buildings. There was an unnerving screech followed by several cackles as she observed the humanoid figures through the obscuring rainfall. Izumi stood cautiously in the street, eyes narrowing on the group of thugs as they spread out before her, a quick glance over her shoulder revealed two more coming at her back.

"Only one little girl, huh?" One of them cooed, stepping beneath the street light, revealing a masked man with excessively long nails. He clicked them together slowly and Izumi took a step back as they grew a couple more inches, curving inwards towards his palm. "We were promised fun... but you..." He muttered, nails clicking as he spoke. "Tch."

Another screech split the air, sending chills down her spine as one of the villains punched his bladed arm into a car and split the side open as he advanced. The road was covered in a film of rising fog, parting for their advancing movements with each breath she took. Izumi had to fight the urge to launch the first attack, her fingers itching as she watched them carefully.

"You don't look like you're going to be much fun to kill." The bladed man barked, a feral grin sprouting across his face, floppy soaked hair plastered to his neck and shoulders.

Izumi's heart was pounding furiously beneath her ribs as she carefully counted the villains when they stopped advancing. Five...that shouldn't be too bad, they've already underestimated me. There's no way they know what my quirk is, unless they did some thorough research, they're here for two things, chaos and All Might.

"Lookit her, she's too scared to even move." Another spoke from behind. The woman's voice was like nails on a chalkboard. "Come on girlie, be our play toy." Izumi cast a glance over her shoulder, carefully raising a tentative shield between her and the aggressors, allowing the rain to slip through as to not raise awareness to its existence. The woman was dressed in all black, a blade in her hand as she flipped it carelessly. She was the only one openly carrying a weapon that wasn't attached to her body. Izumi offered a smirk to the woman, raising a brow carefully and summoning water to her fingertips. If I can disarm her...

"Oh? Think you're cute do ya?!" The woman screamed, and Izumi flicked her wrist, an arm of water lashing out faster than the woman could react. Her whip engulfed the woman's knife, and with another flick, Izumi sent the blade flying until it embedded in the wall of a nearby building.

"You shouldn't play with knives." Izumi offered a broad smile and with a furious glint in her eyes the thug charged, another knife materializing in her palm. Izumi swallowed, slamming the shield around her into full effect as she dismissed the water in order to retain better control of her primary element. Her eyes shot to where the knife had been embedded, it was still there. Shit, so she's either creating them or materializing them... either way I don't know how many she has at her disposal.

"YOU LITTLE-" It was like being on the other side of a window as the woman crashed into her shield, bouncing off and rolling across the ground as the air around Izumi vibrated from the impact. There was another loud thud from behind her as one of the others bounced off her shield, slamming back into another villain. It had been the man with a bladed arm. Izumi's eyes flicked to the second villain coming up behind her. From beneath a heavy hood, yellow eyes gleamed even in the dark as he ignored his fallen comrade.

"So you do have tricks...amusing." His lips curled, eyes narrowing as Izumi cracked a smile at him. She knew it was stupid, but if they all lost their cool like the woman, and she kept a level head...

"Don't get ahead of yourselves!" Another barked, holding a hand out in front of the man with blades. "We don't know what her quirk is!"

"It isn't that impressive!" The woman snarled, sitting up in the muddy water. Her eyes were straining in an attempt to see the edges of Izumi's domed shield while slowly standing back up.

"Impertinent brat!" another growled, slamming his feet into the asphalt. With each slam, the asphalt around him cracked, and started to flow up his legs, slowly forming to his body until he was fully covered in asphalt like armor. "If you think your little water quirk gives you the advantage in this rain you're wrong." With a cursory glance, Izumi chewed on her lip warily. One of them is missing...

"That's right, girlie, we were sent here for a reason. Our quirks are suited for this environment."

"We have the upper hand here kid, so do us a favor, and die." The hooded villain glanced towards the woman materializing knives, uttering from beneath the hood, "Though, you could at least make it fun." Yellow eyes glared down at Izumi as a wild laugh broke out from the woman's throat, a jackal's laugh.

"You know..." Izumi spoke up, meeting each of their eyes as she reinforced the shield around her. "I'm going to make you regret underestimating us." She spoke calmly, smiling up at them as the ground beneath her rumbled. Izumi pushed her shield out, dismissing it in a burst that knocked the villains surrounding her staggering back just as a hand shot from the ground in front of her. It was reaching blindly as she sprang into a backflip, keeping her eyes on the clawed hand.

As she launched herself back upright, Izumi took that moment to break the asphalt beneath her, flooding the area with a wave of water and digging her fingers into the new mud beneath. The rain really did offer an advantage, she didn't have to search for a source when it was all around her, just like the air. As she absorbed the earth, mentally prepared for the stab of pain that usually accompanied it, she was pleasantly surprised to find none came. It was as easy as absorbing water, the minerals within absorbing easily despite how uncomfortable it felt.

So mud doesn't cause damage...good to know...

The woman gasped in anger as the wall of muddy water slammed over her, rocking her back down to the ground. The man with yellow eyes let the wave wash over his feet as he sneered at her. Izumi swallowed as the villain climbed out from the ground, face covered in dirt and mud, glowering at her through the mess. His hands were equipped with truly wicked nails, thick and clearly durable despite the cracks from clawing his way through the ground, eyes a milky blue and whiskers sprouting from his cheeks. The group of thugs were no longer surrounding her, but fanned out, apparently waiting for her next move. All except one. The man covered in asphalt charged, an angry bellow filling the area.

His movements are heavily hindered by the asphalt... it's like he hasn't done any training with it. Izumi steadied herself, dropping lower as he barreled towards her. No wonder they didn't know of Eraser Head, villains like these don't get taken out by pros...more like a sidekick's problem...They can't be more than a distraction meant for the pros that were supposed to be here...

"What do you think you're doing?!" The thug in asphalt demanded, launching a heavy swing towards her. Izumi smirked, wrapping a hand around his wrist as she dodged the wild swing. He fought nothing like Asashi or Hana, his moves were predictable and sloppier than her own.

"You move too slow." She warned, before slamming an elbow into his jaw. With a loud crack, she took over the asphalt wrapped around him, coating her own arm with the rubble from his face as she slammed her knee up and into his abdomen, and coated her leg with that debris. The new asphalt armor felt like the padding Hana would make her wear while going through stances for conditioning. The weight wasn't going to slow her down like the man she was taking down. There was a whoosh of air from his lungs on impact as she threw him to the ground and turned to face the others. I don't have much time...

"What the hell was that?!" The woman screeched as she set another knife flying towards Izumi. With wide eyes, Izumi deflected the knife, her breath catching in her throat as the blade bounced off the asphalt coating her arm, taking a large chunk of the makeshift armor with it. "You think you're special because you go to a special little hero school? Because you have some weird little manipulation quirk?" The woman's voice broke with laughter as Izumi's head whipped towards her. "You're nothing to us, girlie."

"Now I know why Mr. Aizawa scolded me for taunting... it makes you look ridiculous." Izumi smirked, making a fist and yanking the woman down into the mud with a series of tethers. The thug let out a furious howl, scratching at the tethers viciously as they pulled her towards the hole the other villain had dug. The earth beneath Izumi trembled again, but she wasn't fast enough as the ground burst open.

A clawed hand wrapped around her foot, yanking her down. With a shocked yelp, Izumi kicked as hard as she could, a wave of asphalt following her motion and slamming down on top of her attacker, forcing him back into the hole he came from before she released a torrent of debris filled mud, flushing the mole villain from his hole. He came floating up from the tunnel, eyes dazed and down for the count as Izumi flipped back to her feet. The earth rose behind her heels to stop her from sliding further as she settled.

The villain she had momentarily incapacitated was huffing from behind her, coughing and groaning as he scraped himself off the ground, asphalt dropping from his body in large clumps. I don't think so. Izumi flipped up into the air, kicking out with her leg still coated in asphalt and slamming it into the villain's uncovered face. He grunted heavily, eyes swimming and body going limp, collapsing to the ground as Izumi landed. The woman with the materializing blades screeched again, and Izumi barely dodged the knife, knocking it away with an assisted gust of wind as the dome's programmed storm continued to rage around them. The knife clattered across the road, sliding harmlessly away.

"You don't seem too worried about your friends." She called out, eyes narrowing in on the remaining three. The woman barked out in laughter, eyes round and crazed as she pulled herself back up.

"We aren't friends, we only came to put an end to All Might." The grunt with a blade for an arm laughed, lowering himself to the ground and rushing Izumi as she met his eyes.

"So I've been told." Izumi bit back, slamming a foot into the ground. The villains all shouted in shock as holes opened up beneath them and they fell until they were nothing but heads poking out from the ground. "How are you going to kill All Might when you can't even take out a first year?" She demanded, stalking towards them, a small smirk on her face as she closed the holes until they were held firmly within before carefully restraining the two that had been KO'd as well. "Or is this the best you can do?"

"What the hell!?" The woman screeched, struggling for all she was worth as Izumi skipped past them.

"If you could just stay there, like good little thugs.. Actually..." Izumi paused, turning towards them and manipulating the asphalt, sweat beading on her forehead as she pulled it towards them. "Why don't you tell me about this plan?" Izumi asked, carefully squatting in front of the hooded man as she spoke. He glared up at her, lips curling back until the asphalt was crawling up his neck. "No?"

"Don't be so cocky, you brat!" The woman screamed, before her words turned to a horrified scream as the asphalt reinforced the hole she was in.

"If you're not going to talk, I guess I can just go find out for myself." Izumi shrugged, releasing her hold as the asphalt settled around them. Up to their necks and unable to move, there was fear in their eyes as Izumi paused to listen. There wasn't much she could hear over the rushing wind and rain battering her surroundings. With that in mind, Izumi used her quirk to shield herself from the torrent of rain as she ran in search of whoever else might have been warped with her if anyone.

It wasn't long before she stumbled upon another group of villains. Izumi didn't falter as she ran up on them, slamming into the back of the first target and pinning them to the pavement, encasing their head and hands in stone. There were a series of startled yells before the villains realized what was happening. With a laugh Izumi sprang from the villain's back, flipping on to the shoulders of another, and sending them careening into the person beside them. With a boost of air, Izumi rocketed herself off their shoulders, forcing three others sprawling on the ground. As soon as her feet touched, Izumi kicked into the earth, and locked the small group on to the road before tightening the earthen restraints as they fought against them.

"Where the hell did this kid come from?!" A man demanded, brandishing a baseball bat with a couple of swings as he eyed Izumi.

"Get her!" Another shouted from the back, and Izumi felt a gust of air from behind before a projectile caught her in the shoulder, slicing through her costume jacket and tearing through her flesh. The flash of pain and sudden heat on her shoulder was overwhelmed by the following crack breaking the silence and setting her heart racing. The villain took aim again, his finger pointed towards her as a muzzle formed. Before he got a chance, Izumi somersaulted under them, releasing her legs with a burst of air. Izumi accelerated until she connected with their abdomen, digging deep with her heel and launching them into the air, immediately digging her fingers into the dirt beneath and creating a wall of stone as she flipped back onto her feet. There was a crack as they broke through the wall. She'd underestimated the strength that boost had given her. Quickly she summoned a second wall, and encased them as they collided with the new construct.

Her breath was coming heavy as she took a moment to breathe again. Wiping her face from the rain, Izumi looked up just in time to see the remaining thugs running. Jaw slackening, Izumi cast a look over her shoulder, a tinge of panic twisting in her gut.

No one was there.

Izumi laughed in relief before absorbing the rain soaking through her costume and lashing out with an arm of water, catching the villains in retreat. "Don't you think it's embarrassing to be running from a child?" She asked loudly, leashing them carefully as they stared up at her with wide eyes.

"You're a freak! What even is that?!" Demanded the villain with scales covering his body and a wild look in his orange eyes. Izumi tilted her head carefully, a smile on her face before bending over to put her fist in the asphalt, biting back as the stone bit into her knuckles.

"It's obvious that you were underestimating us because we're students, but let me remind you, this is UA." She spoke calmly snapping earthen manacles over the remaining villains. "How could you possibly think to kill the number one hero when you can't even handle me?" The villain's eyes flew over her shoulder, going wide in horror as a scream tore from his throat and two more villains slammed to the ground beside her. Startled, Izumi jumped to her feet, a writhing dome of water surrounding her before her eyes settled on a familiar cloaked figure and towering entity with glowing yellow eyes. "Dark Shadow! Tokoyami!"

"Kinoshita." Tokoyami acknowledged her lightly, raising a brow and casting a cursory glance around at the several captured foes encased in asphalt and stone. Izumi giggled as Dark Shadow pushed up against her before gently patting the top of his head, and kicking up some restraints on the two Tokoyami had acquired.

"We need to get out of here..." Izumi started, looking around as she stopped the rain around them, droplets hanging in suspension and the wind ceasing within a 20 meter diameter as she searched. Tokoyami's eyes widened in shock at the display as Kinoshita sighed with annoyance.

"Woah!" Dark Shadow mumbled, tucking himself back around Fumikage as the two watched Izumi.

"Perhaps we should search for anyone else that-" The two froze as a resounding crack sounded off in the distance.

"What the heck?" Izumi demanded, more to herself than anyone as she let out a breath and extended the diameter of her sphere slightly. It didn't help. She could feel her control starting to slip and with a sigh she cast a glance towards Tokoyami. "I'm letting it go." She warned the moment she dropped her control and the rain and wind picked up around them again.

"Have you ever tested your range with that?" Tokoyami asked, eyes narrowing as Izumi shook her head and smiled at him before nodding towards a nearby awning. The two ran for cover before she replied. Fumikage looked his classmate over carefully, noting the heavy rise and fall of her chest and fresh cuts peppering her fingers.

"No. This is the first time I've ever been able to play with my quirk at such a level." She answered truthfully, face flushing with excitement. "We need to see where that noise came from. It didn't sound too far away, maybe a couple hundred meters."

"I'd agree, but with the force of the wind outside of your sphere, it could have been closer." Fumikage's eyes wandered across the buildings, his sharp red eyes shooting towards the west side of the dome. A thunderous crack pulled them nearer to the center of the dome. Izumi didn't waste much time as she led the way towards the noise.

"Kinoshita! We should proceed with caution!" Tokoyami warned, keeping pace with her. It was surprising how fast she was recovering.

Izumi shot him a look.

"We need to regroup and get out of here like Eraserhead told us too, Tokoyami. These villains, as many as there are, are amateurs and seem to have no actual training with their quirks. They aren't who we need to be worried about." She countered, taking a quick turn before sliding to a stop and waiting for him. As Tokoyami rounded the corner, a devilish smile split across Kinoshita's face.

"Why are you smiling like that..." Fumikage froze, a quizzical brow raised as she chuckled, the wind suddenly bolstering beneath her feet.

"I'm going to see if I can find the source of that noise." She stated calmly before pointing to Dark Shadow. "Catch me?" An excited glint ignited within the yellow orbs as Dark Shadow nodded.

"No, Kinoshita whatever you're—" Fumikage's attempt to reason was cut short as Izumi launched herself into the sky. It was like a rocket as a burst of air battered Tokoyami back. "Thinking..." he finished with a tempered sigh.

As Izumi leveled herself, she tried the same trick from before and stopped the rain around herself. It took no time at all as she was falling again to catch the bright red and white with teal costume among the dark alleys. Koda and Asashi. They weren't very far away from where Fumikage and Dark Shadow were waiting. With a smile, Izumi dropped both elements and was in free fall, her hair whipping wildly around her. The rain was freezing when coupled with the wind. With all the adrenaline that had been coursing through her, Izumi hadn't registered the cold until now as she was falling. Despite the cold, it felt like there was an ember of warmth within keeping the elements from chilling her. A comforting warmth that never seemed to fade.

With a calming breath, Izumi directed wind beneath her arms, flipping herself until she was rushing parallel to the ground just in time to watch as Dark Shadow's hands reached for her. It was like a solid shadow, warm and soft compared to the rain as he clutched her before gently lowering her towards the ground.

"Look Fumikage! I caught a friend!" He cried gleefully. Izumi giggled as Fumikage shook his head, watching Dark Shadow deposit her in front of him.

"I saw Koda and Asashi, they aren't too far away, come on!" Izumi trilled, a broad smile on her face as she wiped a blue lock from her face and took the lead once again. "I didn't see any enemies ahead, but keep an eye out, okay?"

"Of course." Tokoyami answered coolly before following her carefully. As they rounded another corner, Izumi slid to a halt, holding a hand out behind her and pressing a finger to her lips as Fumikage stopped behind her. Asashi and Koda were turning down another street, proceeding cautiously, but failing to notice a camouflaged villain as they passed by.

"What?" Tokoyami asked, glaring down at her.

"Can't you see the outline from the rain? There's a villain, he was hiding behind the rubble but it looks like he's attempting to sneak up on Asashi..."

"There's another across the road." Tokoyami alerted her, eyes narrowing as he nodded towards the grunt as he ambled out of a crossing street. "I'll take him. Dark Shadow." Fumikage commanded calmly and Dark Shadow launched across the street towards the villain, clawed vestiges reaching out. With a barely contained giggle Izumi filled her hands with water, shaping them like large needles and launching them towards the villain as she shouted Asashi's name.

The abyss was suffocating, in the mere moments Asashi was engulfed, he was completely disoriented. The inability to tell up from down didn't help with his onset of panic from being ambushed by one of the villains that already had him on edge. The light of the exit assaulted his senses as he was shunted from the portal, his stomach churned as the feeling of weightlessness washed over him. Asashi looked up, the ground was rapidly approaching as he fell from the warp gate. He tucked his chin, rotating himself upright before landing, narrowly breaking the initial impact with the balls of his feet shifting his downward momentum and allowing him to tumble forward, finally sliding to a stop on his knees. Asashi sighed and scraped himself up off the ground groaning to himself as he surveyed the surrounding area, the sound of rain accompanying the seemingly endless skyscrapers and buildings.

This place is huge, am I in a dome? I have to be, the controlled climate and downpour suggests so.

He shook his head, quickly chiding himself as he gripped his chest.

I should've seen that coming and reacted appropriately, I screwed up on both now I have to deal with the situation.

Asashi scanned the buildings through the torrents of rain, trying to find any sign of Tokoyami or other classmates that could have possibly been teleported with him. Those that were close to him probably had a higher chance of being sent to the same zone, right?

"What do we have here boys?" A man's voice hollered out from behind him. Asashi's heart sank as he turned to see a group of ten villains crawl out of buildings and alleyways like menacing cockroaches. The ring leader held a blade out as he approached the student, waving it around as he quipped back to the rest, "looks like a stray!"

"Hah think he knows any tricks?"

"Oh let's find out! "

Asashi's knees quaked, his entire body froze under the pressure. His wide eyes frantically scanned the area looking over the men and the landscape alike. Some carried chains or other weapons while some had guns either built into themselves or in their hands. While others had nothing at all. The fox shook with fear, cries for help lodged in his throat leaving him wide eyed and silent. The goons encroached on the fox, slowly encircling him and cutting off an easy escape for the terrified student.

"Hey doggy, lets see what you know. How about 'Sit.'" The ring leader taunted, signaling to one of his friends. Instantly a chain shot out from the back of the pack and swiped at Asashi's feet. Frantically backpedaling from the chains his foot slipped on the slicked pavement sending his backside careening onto the ground. The gang roared with laughter watching the student struggle to get his bearings

"How about 'Roll over!'" The chain wielder shouted, sending more to lash at Asashi's sides. Quickly he rolled side to side, the horror in his eyes intensifying as he watched the chains crack the pavement with each hit. Each strike barely gave him time to move to the side, finally a lash of the chain was sent a bit too recklessly, giving Asashi enough time and room to scramble to his feet after dodging.

He quickly scanned the goons once again before focusing in on their leader

Focus Asashi! Stop freaking out, calm down, stop hyperventilating and focus… Okay, think… they're not in any type of uniform but they do seem to know one another. The guys from before didn't know of before it was too late… Fog face knew of the pro heroes and All Might so it's safe to say him and possibly the guy who was monologing earlier might be calling the shots. Are these…. guys just goons? They're…. oh crap, they are! They're canon fodder. Filler! The real threat is back with and that means—

"Ha! Look at him, he's trembling!" Called out one of the men in the back, earning another roar of laughter from the group. The leader snickered and approached Asashi, waving his switchblade back and forth as he taunted "He should be! The mutt didn't get told to stand up, so it's time for some discipline... Time for your final trick pup… you know.. how to play dead?!" He sneered as he lunged toward the fox, driving his blade toward Asashi's chest.

In that moment, Asashi's trembling stopped and his training with Hana took over. He quickly sidestepped the blade, his hand curled over the man's wrist, twisting his arm back and locking it in place before delivering a devastating kick to the center on the leader's face shattering his nose.

The goons froze, complete shock washed over them as Asashi had an instantaneous change in demeanor.

Now ASASHI! take the blade and… that one!

The fox stripped the blade from the unconscious leader as he crumpled to the ground, lancing it towards the nearest gunner, who had started to take aim. The knife embedded itself into the wall of a nearby building drawing the gunman's attention and it blurred by him "You little brat!-" the man's scream ended in an abrupt gurgle as he caught a flying knee to the jaw, his neck overextending and body going rigid like a statue only from him to collapse as well. Asashi skid past him, he wavered a bit as he struggled to keep his footing. It felt as if; at least in that moment, he was moving quicker than usual. He casted a quick glance over his shoulder before taking off in a sprint down the nearest alleyway.

"Open up on him! Don't let him get away!"

A deep throated growl ripped from another thug as the fox took off. Asashi's eyes burned gold as he tore down the asphalt, the sound of splashing puddles were soon accompanied by gunshots, bullets ricocheted off alley walls and nearby dumpsters as he zigged and zagged through alleys and streets. Asashi rounded the nearest corner, the street he ran on led to a towering building. He came to a halt and scanned the area, still no sign of anyone from class yet. Okay, think… Do I keep trying to shake them or do I stand and fight? They certainly have numbers on me, a frontal attack would be suicide. Maybe…

Asashi's ear flicked back, the gunfire had stopped now there was only a faint whistle. Spinning around to see the cause as a flash of silver struck across his muzzle and struck the asphalt.

Wh-What the-?

A chill slithered down his spine as he noticed the silver streak was a hair needle! As the fox glanced down at the needle what little light there was in the zone was soon blocked out by a figure above him, their hands raised above their head clutching a sword. Asashi leapt back allowing the attack to crash down in front of him the attacker's blade let out a blood curdling hiss as it scraped off the concrete where he once stood. The figure looked up at the high schooler, her long wavy black hair draped over her wild eyes, an equally unsettling smile stretched from one ear to another as she barked out "Over here boys! Better hurry, or I will leave you with nothing but scraps!"

Asashi's hair stood on end when he heard whistles pierce the air, his pursuers were close and now once again they knew exactly where he was!

Damn, this day can't get any worse!

Asashi groaned to himself before taking his stance, his eyes narrowing as the woman dashed from her spot, a wicked cackle leapt from her throat as her blade blurred with a flurry of swipes towards him, his eyes burned gold as he slipped and dodged each incoming attack. After the last swipe the woman lunged forward with the blade aimed for his heart! Asashi narrowly stepped to the side, bringing his arm up to block the blade. The sword screamed as it was locked against a couple of notches on the fox's arm guard.

"Ha! They work!" Beamed Asashi as he watched the sword futility clash against his defenses.

"Now my babies!" The woman growled as she stepped closer to him. The needle and sword began to elongate and whip around toward the fox, Asashi winced as the blade began to wrap past his guard and lance itself toward his back! Quickly he gripped the collar of her shirt and pulled her in, his head reeling back before crashing into hers. The weapons returned to normal as the woman's eyes rolled back into her head, leaving her unconscious as she dropped to the ground.

Asashi stepped back and sighed as he rubbed his forehead. "You guys can't take a punch….. and ouch, no one wins with a head butt.." the boy shook his head before reaching up and donning his goggles, he spun around and curiously eyed the building before him. "I need to find a vantage point, if I can do that it's possible I can identify any other groups and hopefully find anyone else in the class or a possible exit. This whole scenario is unsettling, if-" a gasp slipped from his lips, as he noticed the group

"STOP HIM!" shouted a gruff voice from the hunters, as Asashi took off, his quirk causing the asphalt underneath him to erupt in a cloud of dust and debris, the fox closed in on the building closest to him, the petrifying sound of attacks hitting the ground immediately behind him had adrenaline pulsing through his veins. Before he could reach the door a thick wall of earth erected itself, blocking his escape. Swiftly Asashi glanced in the mirror built into the back of his goggles seeing one of the thugs use their quirk to cause this, he bit down on his lip and crossed his arms in front of himself before leaping into a spiral dive, drilling a clean hole through to the other side. He tumbled to his feet and whirled back around, a smirk sprung to his lips. The goons quickly pursued only to halt halfway. The eerie sound of grinding and stone shifting sent a chill down their spines as the fox released a flurry of swipes against the wall, his claws cleaving through it till the point it looked like the start of a mosaic piece.

The fox stepped back with a sneer "Thanks for the ammo.."

With a sharp inhale he spun and delivered a back kick to the base of the wall, a thunderous explosion sounded off as the kick sent a shotgun blast of stone chunks and debris hurling towards the villains, the chunks of earth battered the villains leaving nothing but dust and groans. The fox winced at the result before taking a moment to clutch his chest and catch his breath.

Okay, Aizawa might've reprimanded me for that one, so that means I might have over done it just a tad.. plus that sound probably let everyone in the next three blocks know where I am...

Asashi let out a sigh before turning to the building and looking it over, it was massive, easily an opportune vantage point. "Next step, finding anyone else that could be here, then getting out and regrouping with thirteen. Hm the fourth floor should work-" Asashi's eyes darted back as something shot out from the dust towards him, a giant fist?! He dodged to the side as the fist punched past him prior to swiping to the side, which Asashi rolled out from under it and spun to face the attacker. The dust settled revealing three men, the first retracted his arm and growled.

"I'm getting REALLY sick and tired of you punk!" the fox studied the three goons before calling back.

"Well… you wouldn't have to deal with it anymore if you just hugged a rock and went to sleep like a second ago."

"The hell did you just say!?"

"What's your game here? You came all this way, broke into a school that's supervised by pro heroes for what? To kill All Might?"

The first man dusted himself off and sneered as he cracked his knuckles in anticipation "And have some fun, but you.. You're a little brat who's taking all the fun out of this."

"I'm not the smartest in my class, or the best fighter.."

"Aw, look at you being honest.."

"You're too cocky, I'm not the best in my class and you're struggling. Either you're as dumb as you look or…. You are just a pawn in all this." Asashi spoke softly, his demeanor surprisingly still timid.

So this guy can extend his body great another ranged fighter. The second has… are those holes on his fingertips? He's probably another one who has been shooting at me. The third, I don't think I have seen anything special from him yet. He's unarmed so his quirk has to be something offensive… right?

The first man shook his head with a groan before simply snapping his fingers "look at you slinging insults. You must think you're pretty hot stuff."

"I don't mean to be insulting, I'm just- no, you know what, I'm not sorry you guys deserve all this!" Asashi's eyes darted to the third guy, the snap earlier a signal to him to start his approach. The man took a couple of steps forward prior to drawing a long steadying breath through his nose, then with an exhale he widened his eyes and launched an attack. His quirk manifested in a magenta colored X that propelled itself towards the fox. Asashi dropped to his back, his snout narrowly escaping the intersection of the attack before the blast seared the building, shattering the windows to the doors and leaving scorch marks along the walls. The fox rocked back and leapt to his feet, a momentary stare down with the villains put them on edge, they readied themselves for a fight as Asashi neared his claws before turning tail and running into the building.

He struggled to keep his footing as his soaked shoes began to slip on the dry tile, his shoes emitting an obnoxious squeak with each step as he made his way through the lobby and up the nearest staircase. Asashi rounded the second floor and took a knee, his ear flicked towards the railing to the sound of footsteps accompanied by distant arguing, those jerks were still tracking him, and the water that was seeping off of his clothes and shoes was a perfect trail.

He crept to the second floor exit, gingerly cracking open the door revealing a lowly lit long carpeted hallway with doors on either side at the far end was what looked to be a massive conference room with windows looking out on the far wall. The fox tiptoed himself across the hall and to the conference room, cautiously monitoring each room he passed to make sure he was alone, finally opening the conference door and slipping in. The room was huge, in the center sat a semicircular desk with leather chairs surrounding it. To the right was a water cooler with a cup dispenser attached to the side of it, as well as a small table to the side of the cooler; probably meant for snacks or any food brought to the meeting. The left side of the room held a massive whiteboard and singular chair, more than likely meant for some poor intern to take notes in.

Asashi was awestruck, it was impressive how much detail and effort UA put into their training facilities, it honestly looked as if they simply plucked a building from the business district and placed it here. At that moment a giant boom radiated throughout the building, causing the slightest tremble on the second floor. Asashi ran to the windows on the far end of the room and began surveying the surrounding area as best he could. Surrounding buildings blocked most of his view, though the nearby streets looked deserted and the farther he looked the more grey and blurred out everything became due to the rain. Asashi sighed and pressed the crown of his head up against the cold glass, his eyes tightly shut in frustration as his mind raced

I can't be the only one here, I crashed into Tokoyami for crying out loud. I need to either ditch or beat these guys hounding me. Then get the heck out of here and find anyone else that could be here.

He opened his eyes and glanced down at the street below him. His eyes lit up as he caught the sight of Koda. He was surrounded by villains as well, one behind him with another three in front of him. Asashi beamed, his tail wagging frantically at the sight "It's Koda, I knew I wasn't crazy! Crap, he's in trouble down there… I need to get out and-"

Asashi froze as the door to the stairwell cracked open, the light from the other side flooding the hallway and into the conference room. He dipped down behind the desk as the goons entered the hallway

"Spread out! He's here." A gruff voice but out followed shortly by inquiry tone

"How do you know?"

Asashi peeked out around the desk and down the hall. The men had stopped and grouped together. The man with the elasticity quirk in the middle and gesturing to the ground before moving towards the conference room. Asashi pressed his back against the desk with a silent sigh through his nose. He looked up to the ceiling as he tightly pressed his head into the desk

How did they know I stopped here? Don't tell me…

He rolled his eyes, painfully looking down at the floor next to him. Multiple reprimands raced through his head as he laid eyes on a trail of watermarks in the shape of his shoes, a steady drip line down the center; more than likely run off from his fur that clearly marked the direct path he had taken. It might've been slightly harder to notice on the tile in the lobby and on the stairs but on carpet, Asashi was practically wearing a neon sign.

Before long the conference door had unlatched, and silence fell over the room, the occasional whisper of carpet shifting under the weight of a boot broke the veil. Asashi surveyed either side of the desk. Shadows began to loom over each side, meaning they were setting up to flank him on either side. If he went one way or the other, he'd leave himself exposed to two other attackers. He smirked and shook his head to think this was the smartest move these guys had made so far was almost sad.

The fox slowly rocked to his feet and casted a glance upward at the desk, it was empty so that left the sides and door covered. He drew a long steadying breath before readying himself in a track position, his eyes changing from hazel to a fierce gold as he waited for the footsteps to draw closer. Finally he darted out from behind the desk, coming face to face with the elasticity quirk wielder, with a swift punch, Asashi delivered a sickening blow right below the man's sternum forcing every ounce of air out of his lungs. Once he doubled over Asashi planted a hand at the nape of the man's neck and tucked his own shoulder in as he began to roll over the top of the villain, catching a glance of the gunman covering the door beginning to take aim at him.

Asashi quickly wrapped the man's neck up in his arm as he rolled, extending the villain upright as the heavy rounds fired off. Asashi felt each pellet hit the man as it reverberated through him, after the last pellet hit the ground Asashi let the villain go, watching him crumple to the floor with a pain filled gurgle before unconsciousness took over him. Asashi casted a glance over at the other two, pure malice radiating off of the fox as he turned to face them.

"You son of a-" cried out the gunman only for his words to lodge themselves in his throat as Asashi cut him off with a blindingly fast knee to the stomach, the man retaliated with an aimed hand at him, but Asashi grabbed his wrist and planted his other hand on the back of the gunman's shoulder blade. Forcing him to hunch over as the fox attempted a shoulder lock, Asashi stepped off to the side of the gunman, before noticing that the other villain was lining up a shot. The gunman's arm wasn't giving, and he didn't have time to force it, he shoved the gunman down a bit further only to aerial cartwheel over him, the fox quickly locking his calves around the man's throat as he spun him to the ground.

Immediately, Asashi tumbled forward to the psionic, he rolled to his feet and fired off a hasty combination of attacks, striking the psionic with a swift jab, coupled with a cross and body hook before finishing him off with a devastating kick to the head. The strikes to the body landed faster than the villain's body could react, only for the kick to send him toppling into the far wall and cracking some of the windows. Asashi looked over the room for a moment, gathering himself as we walked back over to the gunman. He knelt down and gently grabbed the man's wrist, lifting his hand above the guy's face before letting it go; a simple trick he learned from his mom in order to determine if patients were faking unconsciousness. The hand stopped right before the man's face, his eyes flashed open as he began to panic.

"W-Wait! I didn't mean-" before he could finish Asashi bounced his head off the carpet with a swift jab, leaving the villain knocked out.

"Sorry… but I don't have time to hear you out. Plus I don't have anything to bind you, so it's nap time..." Asashi let out a disheartened sigh as he stood up and walked over to the psionic. He dragged the villain's body over to the desk and propped him up before returning to the window and checking up on Koda. The situation looked like it was a stalemate, the villain's had made some progress but were acting weary.

Asashi held his breath as he watched the goon behind Koda flick her wrist, Asashi couldn't see well enough from where he was to determine if he had a weapon or not, but he wasted no time. The fox backed up until his heels were touching the desk before swallowing hard at the growing lump in his throat, what he was about to do was crazy, borderlined stupid. Before he could talk himself out of the idea, Asashi ran and leapt out of the window, the sound of glass shattering was enough to grab everyone's attention from below.

The villains and Koda went slack jawed as the fox plummeted toward them, moments before landing Asashi instinctively swiped at the ground and between the mix of his quirk and adrenaline pumping through his body he created a gust of wind that buffered his landing and locked the villain in place long enough for the fox to crash down on top of her. With one foot landing in the middle of her back, the other drove her face into the cement. Asashi rolled off of the villain and in front of Koda before swiping to the side, creating multiple windshears in the form of his swipe, each one corresponding to a claw on his hand, and containing the force of a microburst. The swipe connected with the villains simultaneously before sending them careening into a building across the street. Asashi froze for a moment in complete shock only to scramble back to the woman and check her pulse.

"Ok, she's definitely still alive… she's breathing. Please tell me…" his eyes changed to a vibrant turquoise as he ran his hand down along her neck and back before slumping back and letting out an exaggerated sigh of relief. "Oh thank god… her spine is fine. Just uh… uh few broken ribs.." his ears pinned back in shame as he rubbed his forehead with a closed fist, a shadow washed over his vision and he peeked up. Seeing Koda offering him a timid smile and a hand up, the fox smiled and took it, chuckling as he was hoisted to his feet.

"Koda, are you alright, they didn't hurt you did they?" Asashi asked as he looked over Koda with a concerned expression. The gentle giant shook his head only to respond by pointing back at the fox. Asashi stared at the finger and pondered for a moment before giving a slight nod.

"Y-Yeah, I think so…"

"I didn't know you could do that.." a shrill voice spoke up. Asashi's ears shot up, his tail swishing behind him as he looked at the gentle soul.

"K-Koda… D-Did you just talk?"

Koda gave a nervous nod as blush filled his cheeks, bringing Asashi to chuckle alongside his classmate. "Don't worry, your secret is safe with me!" The fox took a more serious tone as he rubbed his eye, an all too familiar ring had set in on the edge of his vision. "I didn't think I had any ranged attacks… So no, I didn't know I could do that either Koda. On top of that, I had been working on training my quirk and it's endurance, but with that attack it seemed to drain more than just using my quirk."

"You lose your vision right…?"

Asashi gave a solemn nod, his once excited ears dropping back, and his tail coming to a halt as he spoke. "Yeah. Then I become utterly useless, and this isn't the time or place for that…. Also I didn't know you spoke, seeing you sign all the time I assumed you didn't."

"Sorry…"

"Don't be! Will you teach me sometime?" Asashi beamed toward his classmate, earning a cheerful nod in return. Asashi turned his attention back toward the building as he pondered aloud. "Honestly I'm grateful for whatever that bang was… without it I would have never noticed you were down here-... Koda…?"

The pair turned their attention on a villain tucked away in part of the building's exterior wall. She was unconscious and nestled in a small crater. The fox turned to his friend with wide innocent eyes and a finger meekly extended toward their unconscious foe.

"Koda, why is there someone inside the wall? W-was that the bang I heard?!" Koda gave a timid nod before pointing at himself, leaving Asashi muttering in astonishment. "A-Amazing.."

"We should probably look for the others." Koda deflected, gingerly tapping his fingers together. Asashi nodded before heading toward the main road and cautiously checking for anyone nearby. Koda scanned either side of the road while Asashi scanned the rooftops and passing side streets. "Kiyosake… are you sure we should be walking down the road like this?" Koda squeaked as he walked behind the fox, earning a soft smile from his classmate.

"It's a risk, but I think the payout is worth the risk. This road should not only lead us to an exit but it's also the most direct route to anyone else that could be here. Speaking of… who else is here?"

"I think I caught a glimpse of Kinoshita before I ran into villains..."

Asashi chuckled, glancing back to see Koda shoot him a quizzical look as they walked through the zone. "She's pretty good at grabbing attention, though I'm thinking there's probably not many threats left here. I'm not entirely certain but I think they simply planned to split us up and use sheer numbers to subdue us. Unfortunately for them, they needed quality not quantity." He paused a moment, lifting his goggles to his forehead before letting out a sigh as he rubbed the bridge of his snout.

Still I can't shake this uneasy feeling. If what dad says is true, this situation is a lot worse than what we think. Maybe-

"Kiyosake?" The gentle giant murmured as he stopped next to Asashi. He looked up at Koda with a faltering smile before continuing on.

"I'm just nervous Koda, I've been thinking about this situation and…. well I can't help but-"

"ASASHI!" Izumi's voice cut through his thoughts, whirling he caught a streak of blue and orange rushing from the street behind them. A body slammed into the wall beside him as the villain's camouflage broke, needles of water pinning him to the building. In a fierce arc, Asashi kicked out, slamming his foot into the villain's head with a wince at the crack that sounded in the alleyway. As the villain's body went limp, Izumi released the needles with a bright smile, racing the rest of the way towards Asashi and Koji.

"Team work!" Izumi cried excitedly before rushing towards her friends with a joyous woop. Asashi smiled back at Izumi as she came to a halt in front of them and beamed at Koda. Her hands flew in a series of motions as she spoke. Sign language? Asashi stared at Izumi in shock.

"I'm glad to see you're okay! It looks like that was probably the last of them!" She finished with a smile as Koda signed back to her with a soft smile on his face. Koji indicated the building and other subdued villains and Izumi giggled before her eyes fell on the confused face of her friend. "Oh!" She exclaimed, a hand going to the back of her neck. "I-"

Izumi cut herself off, looking over her shoulder just as another villain's body flew towards them from the depths of the alleyway behind them. Asashi flinched, eyes widening just as he noticed a pair of yellow orbs shining in the deep shadows of the alleyway. The thug collided with their downed compatriot that had just been dispatched, the two conveniently stacking against the wall. Asashi clutched his chest as Koda's eyes flared in shock at the sudden appearance of the already unconscious individual, looking to Izumi as a laugh erupted from her.

"Good job, Dark Shadow!" She held her hands out and Dark Shadow zoomed across the road, bumping into her before she pet him softly and Tokoyami joined them.

"Thank you!" Dark Shadow chirped before being called back by Fumikage.

"Fumikage! Dark Shadow!" Asashi trilled happily, patting his chest down for a moment as Tokoyami advanced.

"Asashi, Koda." Tokoyami nodded calmly towards their companions as they shook off the shock of his appearance. Asashi's tail began to wag slowly before addressing them quietly.

"It's good to see you two!" He exclaimed softly, wiping his eyes of the rain.

"Are you guys okay?" Izumi asked brightly as she restrained the two who were unconscious with earthen manacles. Asashi and Koji nodded frantically before sighing in unison.

"Are you sure?" Tokoyami asked carefully, looking the two over with a discerning eye.

"Y-Yeah!" Asashi nodded eagerly, eyes still wide as they entered the alleyway together. "Just have a ton of adrenaline right now." He admitted as Izumi flicked her hand up nonchalantly, and the rain was no longer falling on them, instead soaking into a bubble of water that now surrounded them like a barrier. The boy's eyes all widened in shock as the rain water that had been soaking them seeped from their clothes, running in streams to join her new barrier. It was only a few moments before they were all dry again. "W-woah!" Asashi exclaimed, looking towards Izumi. There was a look of undeniable joy lighting up her face before she let out a small huff and rolled her shoulders. A small wince caught his attention before she sighed.

"I'm hungry..." She grumbled after a moment, dragging a laugh from the small group. The joy was soon cut short as a thunderous rumble shook the very ground they walked on. Each of their heads snapped towards the entrance, eyes wide with shock. "That's not good." Izumi muttered darkly, eyes narrowing. "It's like that smokey guy said... they're here for All Might." She added, drawing their attention back as a few panes of glass shattered along the dome.

"They call themselves the League of Villains." Tokoyami added, brows drawn over his red eyes.

"There's no way an actual organization of criminals would use such weak members to take on All Might... That warp guy, and the one that was talking earlier...with the hands." Izumi covered her face with her hand to demonstrate.

Asashi drew a deep breath, nodding in agreement before continuing his thought from earlier before Izumi and Fumikage arrived. "They can't all be the league...think about it." He offered calmly, running his hand through his hair as the other three focused on him. "These guys are losing to students despite their odds? The group must be smaller and these guys are nothing more than cannon fodder. They were probably offered something in return for showing up today with the actual members." There was a collective nod of agreement before he let out a deep sigh, pinching the bridge of his snout. "I think you're right to suspect those two, Izumi. The one with the hands all over him, and the mist guy... maybe that bird guy with the exposed brain... I think they're actually this 'League of Villains'. Regardless if they're here to kill All Might... it's not good and we should hurry back."

Izumi nodded, a steely determination settling in her eyes as Fumikage and Koda voiced their agreement. Another rumble shook them as the fight continued outside of the dome.

"Who knows if more showed up, but we need to do as Mr. Aizawa said and head back to the school...I guess." She added begrudgingly, a pout pulling at her full lips as Asashi met her eyes. "Keep up!" She winked before rushing past Asashi and Koda towards the entrance of the windstorm dome, dismissing her control of the shield with an apologetic, "Sorry!"

"Wait, Kinoshita!" Tokoyami spoke up, stepping up next to Asashi as the rain returned with the absence of Izumi's water shield. Dark Shadow appeared, hovering above Fumikage, Koda and Asashi, shielding them from the onslaught of the storm. Izumi paused for a moment, looking back over her shoulder before Tokoyami continued. "I agree, but how do we know what we're going to run into on the other side? Last we knew, Mr. Aizawa was engaged in combat with the true villains. We cannot risk getting in his way and compromising his ability to defeat the foes, or getting teleported away again especially if they know our quirks and weaknesses."

Izumi's eyes cast downward for a moment before her jaw set and she looked back up to meet his eyes with a quick nod. "Right." She agreed solemnly.

"That's another thing that's been bothering me… I'm not entirely sure that they know much or anything really about us, or at least there is something stopping him from porting us to places we wouldn't fare as well. For example, my worst place would be the flood zone, the one with the capsized ship."Asashi pondered aloud as he wrapped a hand around his chin, earning a quizzical look from the others, blood rushed to his cheeks as he continued "I-I uh…. I can't swim.."

"Not even something like the doggie paddle?" Izumi snickered alongside Koda, miming the paddle as her shoulders shook.

"No, I can not 'Doggie paddle' Izumi." Asashi Sighed back in defeat before Tokoyami chimed in.

"Interesting.-"

"O-Okay, but lots of people can't swim. It's not that- "

"I meant your analysis. It might hold some weight to it, if they knew our weaknesses they would've sent me to a zone with light. Dark Shadow's strength fluctuates with darkness." Tokoyami stated calmly.

"R-Right…. Well, we need to do some reconnaissance first!" Asashi offered quickly.

"I'll go." Izumi answered before he could request Dark Shadow rise above and see if he could in fact do that part. A sudden gust of wind blew over them and Asashi's attention snapped back towards where Izumi had been only moments ago-she wasn't there. Asashi felt his heart jump to his throat as she bounced between the walls of the surrounding buildings. She was a blur of motion in the wind and rain. He wasn't the only one holding his breath as she ascended.

Izumi took off, boosting herself up, focusing on her footing. Using the building walls and controlled bursts of wind under her feet to add momentum until she was near the top of the dome on one of the largest buildings. She was grateful for the grip the soles of her shoes possessed as she took a breath, a crazed grin spreading across her face. It was the same rush she would get in gymnastics as her fingers left the bars, spinning perilously until she looped around again. The adrenaline was what kept her going, the rush of the wind even as her fingers trembled. There was always a sudden clarity before her fingers touched the bars again, it was like snapping back from a dream. It was like during the exam, this level of exertion and excitement...a feeling of completeness.

Minding the ledge, Izumi looped a leg around an antennae for an anchor before calling more water to her palm, and punched forward towards the nearest pane of glass. As her spear of water punched through, Izumi unhooked her leg, backing up along the roof to get a running start. With each step Izumi grounded herself, preparing for the leap before launching from the roof. Dropping her control over water with a breath, she exhaled carefully as her heart hammered beneath her ribs. Airborne, the rush of wind and rain on her face was nothing compared to the sheer emptiness below until her feet hit the window pane. Izumi clasped her hands around the metal frame, steadying herself before looking towards the scene outside.

Tokoyami let out a deep sigh, shaking his head in disbelief next to Asashi as the fox stared after Izumi with a gaping jaw. "She could have just gone to the lower part..." Tokoyami muttered in disbelief. Asashi looked over towards Fumikage with a blank expression as the bird's eyes met his own.

"You should've known there was something up when she offered to go." He answered calmly before shaking his head and looking back up towards where Izumi had disappeared. She was always running headfirst into things, never over thinking or thinking at all before attempting something new. It was like she didn't know what fear or failure was. It was like she was meant to be here. Kiyosake froze at the thought, a sudden pang in his chest before he shook his head clear again.

Just in time too.

Another shattering sound reached their ears and Koda flinched beside him, eyes still pinned to where Izumi had been as he nervously clasped his hands together.

"There's no way they'd be able to do anything to All Might..." Tokoyami started, his voice trailing off into a sigh.

Koda nodded in agreement, tearing his eyes from their classmate's last position. "He's the symbol of peace, the number one hero! He couldn't lose to these guys." Despite his quiet voice, Koda's words were strong as he faced Fumikage and Asashi.

Asashi was about to agree before shaking his head. "I don't know. My dad says whenever criminals do something this bold it's because they think they have a way to pull their goal off." Koda's face drooped, his hands falling to his side as he looked at the fox beside him with worry in his kind eyes. "Think about it... would anyone do something like this unless they had a way to kill All Might?" As Asashi finished speaking, there was another gust of wind and a splash as Izumi landed beside them, breathless as she rose. Tokoyami's eyes shot from Asashi towards Kinoshita as she met their shocked faces.

"Kinoshita?" Fumikage asked carefully, noting the uncharacteristically serious expression on her face as she swallowed carefully.

"We need to go now. Something isn't right. The smokey guy and the hand dude are fighting Mr. Aizawa. They have that massive brain villain guy with them, and Aizawa-" Izumi took another breath, wiping her face for a second before continuing. Asashi couldn't help but notice she looked worn out, her chest rising and falling heavily for another moment before she spoke with a deadly calm demeanor. "Eraserhead wasn't moving, he was pinned to the ground by that huge dude that looks like some freak bird." She finished and a chill raced down Asashi's back, his tail sticking out straight behind him. Asashi took a deep breath, looking to his hand as it trembled for a moment. Swallowing the rising lump in his throat, Asashi clenched his hand into a fist.

"We're outmatched...but we have numbers..." He started slowly. Izumi nodded carefully, not missing the look Tokoyami shot towards the fox.

"Asashi..."

"Let's go." Asashi decided, looking up from his fist to meet Izumi's determined expression. The calm assurance he found in her silver eyes settled the thunderous beating of his heart. Her confidence seemed to manifest like an aura, seeping into him before he broke eye contact to look at Tokoyami. "If we play this right, we can win."

"If I can stage a diversion, we might have a chance." Izumi spoke up, rolling her shoulders carefully and wincing slightly as she touched the wound from earlier. Asashi's eyes shot to her, narrowing further as she shook her head. "Don't worry about it. Nothing more than a scrape..." She said quickly, smiling at him calmly before starting to walk towards the entrance of the dome. "I saw Tsu and Midoriya down there too... if we can get their help, we can get Mr. Aizawa out of there. I can help...That smokey warp guy..." She paused, looking back at Asashi for a moment. "What if they plan on warping All Might away from here? To a different location as a secondary ambush?" She offered, biting her lip in thought only to shake her head and start walking again. Fumikage, Koji and Asashi followed quickly as she picked up the pace and started a brisk jog.

"I don't think so..." Asashi shook his head with a careful breath. "If they were just going to warp him away, why would they bring their heavy hitters here? Why not just more thugs and the smoke guy?"

"Okay... fair point." Izumi nodded, taking up the spot at Asashi's other side as she slowed down slightly. "I still think we have a shot at helping."

"If they think they can beat All Might, what makes you think we have a chance?" Tokoyami countered, eyes narrowing in thought as Kinoshita looked to him, a smirk growing on her face.

"Our classmates are strong, Tokoyami. I'd rather die trying than do nothing. If I can make the difference, I'm doing it." Asashi's eyes shot to Izumi with worry, watching as his friend continued to look forward, determination radiating from her. "I'll try drawing them out with some ranged attacks." She added simply, pointing towards a hole in the dome with a quick gesture. "I'll do what it takes to help."

Asashi followed her quickly, mind racing as he went over all the information they had. It wasn't much to go off, but it was better than nothing. "We aren't staging an all out battle with them." He spoke firmly, taking a breath of relief as Izumi nodded in agreement. "We need to prioritize getting Aizawa out of there. Once that happens, if we can split their numbers, All Might has a chance." It was like a lightbulb went off in his head as they came up on the opening. "That's it!" He exclaimed, quickly reaching out and grabbing Izumi's wrist, bringing her to halt before they could exit the dome.

"Their plan probably revolves around all three of those creeps," Asashi held up a finger for each as he named them. "That big guy, the hands guy, and the shadow creep." The three nodded in understanding before he continued. "Divide and conquer. If we can get a scenario when All Might is fighting one of them, or maybe even two, we have a chance. That's why that shadow guy split us up. They want as little interference as possible."

"Okay, so what do we do?" Tokoyami asked calmly, eyes settling on Asashi as his hand went to his chin for a moment in thought.

"We work towards getting either to the main entrance or helping me get Mr. Aizawa out." Asashi's attention turned to Izumi as she waited patiently beside him. "Izumi, you need to focus on not getting drawn into a fight. Play smart and play safe."

"Right." Izumi nodded calmly before a smile bloomed on her face. She was tired, but if she focused on small and precise attacks, she knew she could wear them down before she was running on empty. Excitement was vibrating through her before she shook her head quickly and focused back on Asashi as he called her name.

"Do you have a plan?"

"Not at all...I was just going to wing it." She admitted calmly, the smile still plastered on her face.

Asashi chewed on his lip for a moment. "The only thing I can think of is risky..."

"What is it?" Tokoyami and Izumi asked simultaneously, watching as Asashi's face scrunched up. With a gentle shake of his head he peeked around Izumi to the opening behind her as another rumble filled the area.

"I think aiming for the shadow is your best bet. He made a comment earlier... I can't remember what it was exactly but it made it sound like he had a physical body. Izumi, if you can get close enough to him and launch an attack there might be an opening."

"Right, so for that weird metal brace?" She paused, inspecting her nails for a moment as Asashi nodded in agreement. "If I miss, and he sees me... he could warp me away..."

"Exactly. Don't get close enough for that to happen. There's a high chance that he could even warp your attack back at you if you're too close. There's also the factor that we don't know how the other two fight and move. The hand guy could move incredibly fast for all we know. It's risky...there's a lot that could go wrong and-"

"And What? While we're busy worrying about the unknown, Mr. Aizawa could die." Izumi advised, an incredulous look on her face as she turned towards the opening to look outside. Asashi grabbed her shoulder, holding her back.

"If you mess up, it could cost you your life, and Aizawa's! Like I said, fight smart and fight safe. This isn't a game!"

"I know this isn't a game!" Izumi hissed back, looking at him over her shoulder with a sharp breath. As their eyes met, Izumi tilted her head slightly, lips twisting with worry. "I saw what they did to Mr. Aizawa...Eraserhead, a pro, Asashi. I know I don't hold a candle to the skill he possesses, but I'm not going to let that stop me from helping!" Izumi straightened, carefully moving from under Asashi's hand before focusing, dropping into a low stretch as she thought. Asashi watched as her eyes cleared and she looked up abruptly to meet his curious gaze, eyes shining as a smile broke across her face.

"It's time to go all out." Izumi didn't waste any more time, quickly making her way to the outside of the park.

"Kinoshita will be okay..." Tokoyami uttered, setting a hand on Asashi's shoulder lightly. "Koda and I will stay here and ensure that you two aren't followed before we head for the exit closest to the park's entrance."

"Right. Once I grab Mr. Aizawa, Izuku and Tsuyu will no doubt be enough to help me carry him to safety." Asashi spoke firmly, before pulling his goggles down again and carefully following Izumi outside, leaving the other two behind as they nodded affirmatively. They're far less argumentative than Izumi... Asashi thought with a deep breath before activating his quirk. He'd have to move fast if he was going to get to Aizawa and away with enough time to spare. With Izumi ready to divert their attention, I might have the element of surprise on my side. It was a sharp adjustment from the dark and eerie atmosphere of the windstorm to the bright daylight of the park.

Izumi stayed close to the dome, hidden in the bushes as she creeped closer to the villains. The blood. Izumi froze, eyes going wide as she made out the blood surrounding the ground Aizawa was lying in. The creature was no longer on top of him but-

Izumi felt her breath catch in her throat as the entire scene unfolded before her. As she gathered water to her fist, preparing a whip rather than an arm this time, Asashi sprinted from his hiding spot becoming no more than a blur in her peripheral. Izumi kept her eyes glued on Midoriya as he stood before the massive creature with a bird face and half exposed brain. He was shaking, but so was Izumi. That last attack that had blown through the glass must have been one of Izuku's yet that creature still stood, completely unharmed.

That's their weapon.

Izumi felt the surge of fear even as she slammed it away. There was no way Izuku would be enough, even with all his power. It was like Tsu said, his power was similar to All Might's, and if this thing was here to destroy All Might... Midoriya was like a spec on the radar compared to the number one hero.

"Hurry Asas-" There was a loud noise on the opposite side of the windstorm center, by the main entrance. It was like a crash, quickly followed by grunting and pain filled shouting. Before Izumi could move, like a flash All Might was lifting Eraserhead into his arms, a fierce gleam in the depths of his heavily shadowed blue eyes. There was power in that gaze, as unsettling as it was to see All Might without his trademark smile, Izumi felt a rush of relief.

In a matter of milliseconds, there was a burst of wind and as the dust settled, All Might had scooped up Tsuyu, Izuku, Mineta and Mr. Aizawa, and was now crouching before them as he stared down the villains.

Play it smart, play it safe. Izumi repeated in her head, hunkering down as she waited for the right moment to either flee, or help. She wasn't going to risk getting in All Might's way, not when he'd already managed to gather up those in danger.

Asashi took advantage of the villain's surprise as All Might arrived, putting every ounce he could into enhancing himself as he ran towards Midoriya and the others. He skid to a stop next to All Might as he stood, hands on his knees.

"Young Kiyosake!"

"Asashi?!" Midoriya exclaimed, green eyes going wide in surprise.

"I was in the wind dome!" Asashi explained shortly, kneeling beside Aizawa to assess his wounds. They were bad. His elbow looked as if it had been disintegrated, blood was still seeping from his wounds and there was barely any clotting. Swallowing the lump in his throat, Asashi activated his quirk again, hazel eyes flashing to a brilliant turquoise as All Might spoke.

"Can you help him, young Kiyosake?" Asashi nodded weakly, looking up to All Might as the man stared down at him, offering a bright smile. "Then hurry, children. Get Mr. Aizawa and yourselves to safety.

"Y-Yes sir!" Asashi nodded nervously as Midoriya bent down carefully to lift their teacher over his shoulders. Midoriya paused for a moment as Asashi started to work with his quirk.

"All Might, you can't!" Izuku spoke suddenly, startling Asashi. "That brain villain took One For-Uh-I-I smashed him and didn't break my arm this time, but he wasn't fazed at all. He's too strong!" All Might held an arm out behind him, stopping Izuku before he could continue, and partially turned to face them, with a peace sign over his face. Asashi blinked in shock before quickly returning his attention to Aizawa.

"Young Midoriya! I got this!"

"Izuku, we need to hurry, based on how much blood Mr. Aizawa has lost, he doesn't have much time, even with my healing." Asashi spoke up, meeting the boy's eyes. With a nod, Midoriya gave one last look towards All Might before they turned from the battlefield and marched away. Tsu came up on Asashi's side, looking at him with wide, worried eyes.

"Is Mr. Aizawa going to be okay?"

"I'll do my best." Asashi answered tentatively.

"We've got your back, Kiyosake." Mineta was trembling despite the bravado as he scurried after them. With a tight nod Asashi took his chance to cast a quick glance towards Izumi's hiding spot. Either she was able to go back, or was doing a remarkable job at hiding. He hoped it was the latter, and they would regroup at the entrance with the others. The ground beneath them rumbled again as All Might fought. Asashi couldn't risk taking his attention from Aizawa, he was relying on his classmates to ensure they weren't being followed. But from the sound of the Carolina Smash, and Mineta's excited commentary, he was holding his own. Asashi did his best to tune them out, the chatter and possibility of All Might failing was more than he was willing to deal with when his hero was laying broken over Izuku's shoulders. He'd gone through all of this just to protect them. Just to keep them safe until All Might, or others from the school arrived. He'd held them all off on his own.

"Asui." Midoriya spoke with a sudden calm and Asashi looked up from his work for a moment, noting the intent in his friend's eyes.

"Izuku, you can't-"

"What is it Midoriya?" Tsuyu croaked, looking back to them as he straightened.

"Will you carry Mr. Aizawa for me?"

"Ribbit? Sure, but what're you going to do?"

"Izuku, please tell me you've thought this through! If you get taken hostage-" Asashi started only to be cut off again as Midoriya transferred Aizawa's weight carefully to Asui. Midoriya took a few tentative steps forward before sprinting back towards the fight. Ignoring their desperate attempts to reason with him.

"What're we going to do?" Tsuyu asked tearfully as Asashi stared after Midoriya in horror, a lump blocking his throat even as he tried to swallow it back. They were here to kill All Might, to cause pain. That thing, the brain villain was no doubt a part of their plans.

"We need to get Mr. Aizawa to safety like All Might told us to do. Maybe Izuku can help... Izumi is back there too.."

"Kinoshita, too?!" Asui asked in shock, shaking her head with worry. "Even if it's them... There's no way they can defeat a villain that All Might himself is having a problem with."

With heavy hearts the trio turned back towards the entrance, continuing their walk with Aizawa slung between Tsuyu and Mineta.

As the cloud of dust cleared, Izumi stared in horror. The warp villain had assisted the creature. He wasn't buried in the concrete as All Might had intended. Instead, he was saved by the warp gate. The number one hero was pinned in a back bend as the villain dug his clawed nails into All Might's side. Blood oozed from All Might's wounds, his body quivering in an attempt to break the hold, Izumi focused on the warp gate. If she could get him restrained, that gate would close and hopefully... A knot formed in Izumi's throat as she thought about what that might mean before shaking her head clear.

All Might would be able to free himself. That's all he would need to beat these villains. As she readied a whip of water, Izumi edged closer to ensure her control wouldn't slip. As she did, their voices were clear enough to hear.

"Normally I wouldn't want blood and viscera flooding the insides of my warp gates... but I'll make an exception for a hero as great as you."

The declaration left chills snaking down her spine. Izumi's heart started to pound, all thought leaving her mind as she watched All Might continue to struggle against the creature holding him. She couldn't hear anything over the pounding as she froze just within range. Until Midoriya's yell caught her attention and he leaped towards All Might with a gloved hand.

"No!" Izumi ran forward, a thin whip of water lashing out towards Izuku as the villain made of smoke slid in front of her classmate. A second gate was opening as she wrapped the tendrils around Izuku's torso. It was like everything happened in slow motion as a hand came through the gate, reaching towards Izuku as she ripped him back away to safety and Bakugo broke across the open grounds, his hand extended, palms glowing with explosions. He came out of nowhere.

"Get the hell out of my way, Deku!" Katsuki growled, explosions ripping from his gloved hand, disembodying the threat as it's incorporeal form scattered from the attack. The next moment, Bakugo was slamming the villain's metal brace into the ground with a fierce anger permeating off him.

"Ka-Kacchan?!" Izuku shouted in shock, barreling towards Izumi as she held her arms out, grabbing him and putting a stop to his momentum as he slammed into her. The two fell to the ground, shock still written across their faces at Bakugo's sudden appearance. Izumi didn't even have a chance to scold Izuku as they watched Shoto appear, his ice racing across the ground and coating the creature where he remained within the gates. The ice spread rapidly across his body all the way to his wrist.

Midoriya clambered up, quickly offering a hand to Izumi as Todoroki walked forward. "One of your poorly trained thugs told me you're here because you think you can kill All Might." His cold tone and bored expression was nothing short of appalling as Izumi took in the scope of his attack. The accuracy alone was impressive, let alone the control to stop before All Might was also encased in the ice. The more she watched and learned about her classmate, the more obvious his heritage was. There was no way she was wrong.

"Todoroki..." Izumi breathed, a smile cracking across her face as she stood next to Midoriya. The next moment All Might had pried himself from the villain's grasp, flipping away and landing next to Todoroki as he clutched his blood covered side. A whimper escaped Izuku's lips as he stared at their teacher, eyes wide and wavering, filling with tears.

"Don't worry Midoriya...We're all here now. Bakugo's got that creep in control and Todoroki is helping with that one..." She took a deep breath, smiling as the boy looked to her in shock.

"Y-yeah but All Might... He's hurt."

"It's All Might, Midoriya. As bad as it gets, he always manages to pull it off." Izumi cracked an even wider grin before throwing up a peace sign despite the shock on his face as she shook her head. "Plus, look!" Izumi pointed excitedly as Kirishima came jumping in, striking down at the man covered in hands. Izumi flinched in shock at the speed the villain evaded Kirishima with, raising an airshield between the villain and her and Midoriya.

A blue barrier sprang to life in front of Kirishima the next moment. Izumi's eyes widened in surprise as Tanjiro pulled to a stop beside Todoroki, hands on his knees as he breathed heavily, his body trembling before he stood tall. Izumi could see the sweat forming on his forehead as he looked at the threats surrounding them. There was an odd look in his eyes, almost like they were spinning as an awkward smile spread across his face.

"Damn, that was going to be cool!" Kirishima exclaimed haughtily, retreating a couple of steps.

"Guess I found your body that time, ya smokey bastard!" Katsuki growled, pushing the brace even harder against the ground as his arms flexed. His crazed red eyes flared as his teeth flashed in an unwavering sneer.

"The symbol of peace will not be so easily defeated." Shoto asserted calmly, eyes locked on the hand villain as Izumi and Izuku joined the others quickly.

"Kacchan! Everyone!" Midoriya exclaimed in shock, his eyes slowly taking them all in with a wide eyed expression as Izumi smiled back at him. Tears sprang to his eyes, lip wavering for a moment before he wiped his eyes roughly with the back of his gloved hand. Izumi pat his shoulder softly before turning to the others.

"I knew I couldn't be the only one coming to help." Izumi trilled, before looking over at All Might as he clutched his side, the smile dropping from her face. Blood was oozing from where the villain had pinned him. As Midoriya finished wiping away his tears, determination lit up in his green eyes, nodding in agreement with Izumi as their focus turned on the hand villain. The man straightened, staring over at the mist villain restrained by Bakugo, a disdainful groan slipping from the villain's lips as he spoke.

"Kurogiri, how could you let this brat get the best of you?" He demanded, watching as Bakugo's ungloved hand spread over the metal brace in warning. Izumi's attention turned towards the mist, worry coiling in the pit of her stomach. The gates remained open for the frozen brain villain. Despite his predicament, the villain wasn't going to sever his companion. "You've gotten us into a real jam here." The villain hissed as Bakugo huffed a laugh, eyes shooting towards the silver haired man covered in hands.

"Heh. You got careless, you stupid villain." Katsuki spat out, leaning in towards the villain in his grasp with an ever widening smile.

Tanjiro huffed in agreement, nodding as he crossed his arms, casting a look over towards Izumi as she seemed to twist the air around her. What is she preparing for? We've got these idiots on the ropes.

"It wasn't hard to figure you out. Only certain parts of you turn into that smoking warp gate." Bakugo continued, his analysis reflecting what Izumi and the others had been hypothesizing. "You used that mist to hide your actual body as a kind of distraction. What?" He paused, a simpering growl taking over his tone as he laughed. "Did you think that made you safe?" Bakugo's lips curled back from his teeth as he continued, the frustration clear on his face. Izumi knew that his and Kirishima's attack before they had warped had been a blunder, but she hadn't realized it would annoy him so much. He really doesn't like to fail. Makes me wonder how hard he took losing the bomb drill...

Izumi sighed, fingers twitching as she weaved the air between them slowly. She didn't want to dismiss the element fully, just in case.

"That's why we missed. But if you didn't have a body you wouldn't be wearing this." Bakugo pat the metal brace, a triumphant gleam in his eyes. "You're not immune to physical attacks if they're well aimed." The villain grunted beneath Katsuki, mist swirling as he began to move. Before Izumi could even react, explosions rippled across the brace from Katsuki's hand, smoke rising between his fingers. "Don't move!" He snapped, leaning down quickly until he was near eye level with the villain who remained pinned on his front. A strange chuckle left his lips and Izumi's brows shot up in shock as Bakugo's face changed. The anger radiating from him became more of a feral enjoyment, his voice a guttural growl.

"Try anything funny and I'll blow your ass up! They'll be piecing you back together for weeks."

"Woah there buddy, that doesn't sound very heroic." Kirishima laughed awkwardly, his hardened arm pointed towards the hand villain in warning as he shifted. Izumi shook her head in disgust, glaring down at Bakugo as he remained poised to attack over Kurogiri.

"Tsu wasn't wrong, was she, Bakugo?" Izumi sighed, eyes slowly going back to the hand villain. "You keep up that sort of attitude and you aren't going to be a very popular hero."

"More like a villain." Tanjiro added haughtily.

"Shut the hell up you damn losers! No one asked you!" Bakugo bit back, his eyes still glued to the villain. Izumi's attention snapped to the man covered in hands as his gentle tone reached her ears. It was unnervingly calm as he stood before them, his hands clasped in front of himself.

"Kids these days are amazing. They managed to capture Kurogiri, immobilize Nomu...and they're almost all still at full health..." He paused, head angling slightly as he spoke. "They make the League of Villains look bad." As he finished, the villain turned, and Izumi summoned the wind fully to her fingers, tendrils racing up her arms and fanning out her jacket. I have to play it safe, nothing flashy or I'll catch their attention... Midoriya's eyes shot to her quickly, nerves flashing across his face as she met his gaze with drawn brows. There was a mutual understanding in his green eyes. Something was wrong.

"Nomu." With the simple word, the brain villain passed through the warp gate, and the students all held their breath, eyes widening as the creature shuddered with effort. The crackling of ice filled the air as the villain's arm shattered off and the kids took a step back in shock. Izumi gasped audibly, brows snapping together in disbelief as the creature continued to move without any signs of distress.

"What the hell-" Tanjiro uttered darkly, wide eyes shooting to Kirishima as the boy let out a quiet snarl. The Nomu stuttered forward, his movements shattering his frozen leg and sending it stumbling forward. The students continued to watch with rising terror as the creature's focus seemed to snap towards the still downed companion.

"Even though his body's broken... he's.. Still moving?" Midoriya stammered, taking a step back with Todoroki and Tanjiro. Izumi remained in her spot, eyes glued to the creature as he lurched forward, falling to his other knee and stabilizing himself.

"Get back everyone!" All Might shouted, his hand going out in front of them protectively. Izumi flinched at the sudden movement, the air dismissed from her in a protective gust, washing over the others around her. The force of the released element rocked them all, forcing them to bare down and ground themselves to where they stood. Fingers curling into a fist, Izumi's eyes shot to the creature again, watching in horror as the ice still surrounding the points where his limbs had broken, shattered. A mass of muscles and tendons sprang from the wounds, quickly regenerating and taking on the form of a new arm and leg.

"Oh what the hell!" Kirishima groaned, taking another step back beside Izumi.

"What?" All Might stammered, coming to his feet, hand still covering his wounded side. "His Quirk wasn't shock absorption?"

"I didn't say that's all he had." Confusion permeated through the listening students as they looked between each other in question. There was no way someone, or something could actually have more than one quirk.

"Wait..what?" Izumi demanded, shaking her head in disbelief.

"This is his super-regeneration." The hand villain continued with a breathy laugh, his hand extending towards the Nomu. "Nomu has been modified to take you on at one-hundred percent. He's a super efficient human punching bag." The humorous tone to the villain's voice set everyone on edge as they looked All Might over carefully. There was a deep uneasiness in the air, crackling like lightning as All Might clutched his wounded side, blood at the corner of his lips. It was obvious he wasn't at one-hundred percent, and if what this villain was saying was true, they were in for the fight of their lives.

Collectively, the group prepared for the coming fight, teeth clenching along with their fists. Taking a deep breath, Izumi let the air spread through her like a rush of adrenaline, her limbs feeling lighter as she replenished the stored energy just beneath her skin. Every hair along her skin stood on end with the fresh wave of power, drying the sweat beading along her forehead.

"Right, first we need our gate back..." The villain spoke. "Go, Nomu."

"Bakugo, move!" Izumi shouted at the command, her voice shattering the tension in the same moment the villain moved. He was like a mirage with the burst of speed, one moment he was in front of the hand villain, the next there was an explosive burst of wind around Bakugo's position that blew the others back. Izumi couldn't even get her footing in time before she was blown backwards. A curse died on her lips as she looked up to where Katsuki had been, expecting nothing more than a crater in the earth from the force of that impact.

Dust obscured the entire area, none of them could see past it. There were drag marks towards where the wall had been. Izumi was sure All Might was the reason behind them. As she sat up, Izumi looked around to see the others picking themselves up off the ground, and beside her was Bakugo, his eyes wide and wavering with the same shock she felt. It took a moment before he registered her staring at him and their eyes met, still equally shocked as Midoriya suddenly shouted. He was still facing the crater where Katsuki had been only seconds ago.

"Ka-KACCHAN!?" Midoriya's voice broke as he took a stumbling step towards the settling dust.

"How?!" Tanjiro demanded indignantly as Bakugo let out a shaky breath in front of him.

"That villain... he almost..." Izumi couldn't finish the sentence as Bakugo broke eye contact, a frown on his lips as Midoriya glanced back at them.

"Kacchan?!" Izuku turned at the exclamation, a look of relief quickly overshadowed by disbelief as he turned to face Katsuki. "You dodged that? That's amazing!"

"Shut up, idiot. I didn't dodge." He growled out, teeth clenching as Kirishima and Izumi leapt to their feet. With a questioning frown on her face Izumi offered a hand to Bakugo that he promptly ignored, eyes focused on the clearing cloud of dust. Tanjiro couldn't help but stare, eyes frozen on Katsuki's back. Bakugo had almost just been killed, if it hadn't been for All Might, his classmate would have just died in front of them and no one other than All Might would have been able to stop it. He hadn't even seen the villain begin to move. The only warning had been Izumi's scream. She'd heard the villains talking from her vantage point, and even then the thing had been too fast.

"Then how?" Kirishima demanded. Izumi turned to Tanjiro, her hand extended carefully and helped the boy to his feet before he quickly brushed her off with a gruff pat to his dust covered trench coat.

"That was one hell of a shockwave from that villain!" He asserted calmly and Izumi shook her head.

"I'm pretty sure that wasn't just the villain." Izumi cut in, pointing towards the wall where a second plume of dust was settling. The others followed her finger, with a collective intake of breath as they followed two, deeply cut, drag marks to the broken wall.

"Then, that was..." Todoroki started, his eyes wide with wonder as the dust finally cleared to reveal All Might. The hero still stood, an arm up in guard against the attack he had fended off. His whole body trembled once with a shaky cough as the students watched. He was breathing heavily.

"Yeah." Izumi breathed.

"All Might!" Midoriya's exclamation rang through the area like a bell. Katsuki was back on his feet with the others eyes narrowed in on All Might as the hero looked up from the ground, face shrouded in anger.

"Do you not know how to hold back?" He bit out, frown lines forming on his face as he glared across the clearing towards the villains. "They're children!"

"It was to rescue my companion. I had no choice." The honeyed tone sent chills down Izumi's spine as the villain took a couple steps toward All Might. "Anything to save a comrade... right, All Might? Like earlier..." The man's head craned towards Midoriya, an unnerving red eye shining from behind the hand affixed to his face. "When the plain looking child, he came at me with everything he got." His voice crackled with annoyance, simpering and cruel as he let out a chilling sigh. "You would commend him for heroism despite the violence, because violence in the name of saving others is acceptable, yes, hero?" Izumi shivered with revulsion as the man took another daring step forward, his fingers slowly digging into his own neck like a nervous tick before both arms extended outwards.

"You know what, All Might?" He crooned, arms held wide as he paused, glaring across the gap between him and the hero. He paused, fingers trembling even as he waited for a moment before speaking, "That really pisses me off." As his voice hitched, Izumi took a step forward, standing beside Midoriya as his hand clenched reflexively, hyper focused on All Might. "You're good, you're evil.. Both villains and heroes thrive off of violence and yet we are still categorized! Who decides what is good and evil-"

"A moral compass." Izumi growled, eyes narrowing on the villain as he continued to focus on All Might. The fact this man couldn't see the difference told her all she needed to know. He was jaded by a society he thought could never accept him, such a view was something her mother was constantly warning her against. To not let the opinions of others steer her from her goals, or discourage her from helping others.

"Symbol of peace?" The villain scoffed, throwing his head back in exaggeration. "Violence only breeds more violence, and in the end, you're just a tool breed to keep us down and I'm going to show the world that by taking you out!"

"What a load." All Might bit out, blue eyes gleaming from beneath heavily shadowed eyes. "Idealistic villains...they have a certain gleam to their eyes. But you...You're just enjoying yourself, you big liar."

"So, you got me..." He sneered, eyes shining behind the hand covering his face. "You saw right through..."

"It's seven against three." Todoroki spoke up, looking over the other students gathered around, expression as bored as ever.

"Y-Yeah!" Midoriya stammered as his fists shot up in front of himself. "Kacchan showed us the mist man's weakness!"

"Plus... All Might said absorption right? We leave the bird-brain to All Might... That guy has a limit with how much he can absorb, there's always a limit." Izumi asserted, glaring over at Nomu with uncertainty as Kirishima nodded affirmatively.

"Right! They guys are pretty brutal, but with us supporting All Might we can beat them back!" Kirishima shouted, ready to fight as he attempted to get the others pumped up, only to freeze as All Might's hand shot out in front of them once again.

"No! Get out of here!" All Might's thunderous command cut off further planning, his brows furrowed and eyes glued to the villain's before them.

"Things wouldn't have gone so well if I hadn't intervened." Todoroki's glib assertion drew Izumi's attention before she found herself nodding in agreement. If Todoroki hadn't frozen the Nomu, All Might could have very well died. Even Bakugo's control over Kurogiri hadn't stopped the villain completely. Who knows what would have happened if Nomu had been left to its own devices.

"Plus, All Might, y-you're bleeding!" Midoriya's worried voice cut in as he stepped over in front of Izumi, his eyes wavering. "And, I think your time is u-" A broad smile cut across All Might's face as he cast a quick glance towards the students.

"You're right, young Todoroki, so thanks for that! But, fear not! It's time for you to sit back and watch a pro get serious!" The determination gleaming in the luminescent depths of All Might's eyes sent a shiver of anticipation through the small group. Despite the odds, and knowing little of those he faced, All Might was radiating confidence as he faced the villains. The warp gate and Nomu were waiting for a command, for the villain covered in hands to give some sort of signal.

"Nomu, Kurogiri, you take him..." He crooned, angling his attention towards the small group of students as his voice rose for them to hear. "I'll get the kids." Dread lurched through each of them as they prepared for the assault, eyes wide and fists raised. It seemed they wouldn't have much of a choice in joining the fight. The next instant, the villain was launching himself at them, hands extended towards them.

"Here he comes guys! Get ready!" Kirishima cried, quirk activating as he spoke. One second the villain was mid air, the next there was a flash of black and burst of wind buffeting the students back again as a thunderous clap echoed through the domed park.

"A head on assault?!" Izuku exclaimed, hands held up to keep wind from his eyes.

"Get closer to me!" Izumi shouted, reaching out and pulling Bakugo and Kirishima closer, ignoring the shout Katsuki let out in protest as the others gathered around her. Tanjiro knew what her plan was, he wasn't about to ignore her even if she was being bossy. Her shields were just about as strong as his, and he didn't have much left in the tank to help. With a clap, Izumi created a hard shell around them. The shield warded against further bursts of air as All Might's voice reached their ears above the deafening crack of his assault on Nomu.

"It's absorption, not negation, like young Kinoshita said, he must have a limit!" Crack after crack, All Might's fists were a blur. With each hit, the Nomu's body shuddered on impact, feet bouncing from the ground as pinpoint bursts of air followed the assault. "Built to counter me, you say?! Made to withstand everything I've got?!" Each word he uttered was accompanied by another punch, his movements were too fast to properly track as the students stared in awe, the other two villains all but forgotten.

"Then I'll just go beyond that! A hero is always ready to give it everything they've got, to smash through trouble! So tell me, villain..." There as a flash, and All Might's fist withdrew from his barrage, cocking back as his muscles flexed. "Do you know the meaning of PLUS ULTRA?!" WIth a final war cry, All Might ended his attack with a single hit that sent the nomu flying into the air.

Meanwhile, the trio made their way back towards the entrance. A sweet coo filling the air as they walked

"Hey you guys!" Called Uraraka as her and Mina waved down to the trio. Tsuyu and Mineta shot their attention up to the rest of the class while Asashi's never left his teacher. The constant fear of failing Aizawa alongside the possibility of All Might losing or even his friends falling in battle prodding the back of his mind as he worked.

Keep your hands and mind busy, focus on the situation at hand. Believe in your friends and All Might…. Asashi thought as he shook his head in an attempt to clear it.

"Hey come down here and help carry! Aizawa is heavy and Asashi isn't helping." Mineta cried, meeting an irritated glance from Tsu before Akane nodded, shouting down to the small group.

"Asashi, we need you up here too! Thirteen is down."

"O-Ok, I'll be right there!" He called back with a flat tone, all his focus trained on his work. Before long the group was joined by Sato, Shoji and Ochaco, the boys rushed to their side and lifted off of Tsuyu's shoulders, gingerly carrying him back to the entrance. Under Asashi's careful instruction, Aizawa was carefully placed on his back next to thirteen, allowing Asashi to settle between the two teachers and assess them properly. Asashi's eyes wavered as he spun to face Thirteen, meeting the hero's eyes through his visor and offering a genuine smile despite the angst and sorrow overshadowing the gentle expression on his face. Despite the fear and worry, Asashi conducted himself calmly, keeping his words soft and soothing as if he had done this a million times. It wasn't the first time he had to stay calm with someone who was hurt, but never this bad. Never on the scene of the incident.

"Don't worry, we'll leave the fight to All Might, but leave this to me."

"Pl-Please tend to Aizawa, I-I'll be ok." Thirteen murmured back.

"Don't be ridiculous, I will look after both of you. If something doesn't feel right or begins to hurt let me know. Any new feels that crop up, please voice them. Nothing is too small or irrelevant."

Before Thirteen could argue Asashi's eyes began to glow a brilliant turquoise, turning back to face Aizawa with a slight, nervous pull to his lips. Asashi's healing aura washed over Thirteen's body, easing his pain like a gentle wave while Asashi channeled a steady, pointed healing through his hands into Aizawa.

Akane took a knee beside Asashi, her hands trembling as she looked over the two teachers, "Asashi what can I do?" Her voice hitched momentarily as she took in the injuries Aizawa had already sustained, the seriousness of his wounds still obvious despite Asashi's constant attention.

"Just keep Thirteen talking." Asashi replied calmly as he held his hands over Aizawa

I'm nowhere near the level of mom or Recovery Girl, but hopefully I can make do till we can get these two proper medical attention.

His eyes widened in horror as he further inspected Aizawa's injuries.

H-His elbow, is this a burn? No, the surrounding area is still alive so it's not necrotic… What the hell is this?! It's like his skin simply eroded away… Fine, I can treat that, I need to focus on his head trauma.

Akane's lips formed a tight line as she watched Asashi's ears pin back and his body tremble. Reaching out she gripped the back of his shirt, grabbing his attention as he cast a look over his shoulder. Wide eyed, and jaw slightly agape as Akane swallowed heavily, her nose stinging as she looked to her friend. The tears pooled in her eyes as her grip tightened, eyes widening slightly before looking back towards Aizawa.

"Please… Asashi!" The other students gathered closer around him, each voicing their own concerns and questions.

Sero slicked back his hair and gripped his arm, "Is he gonna make it?"

"Asashi, how bad is it?" Ochaco uttered, while Shoji stared at him in shock.

Asashi shook his head, turning back to Aizawa and gently placing the hand opposite of Akane's grip on her fist. Okurmura choked on the lump lodged in her throat before wiping her eyes and turning back to Thirteen. Asashi raised his chin a bit and smiled.

"He'll be ok. He took a lot of damage but all of it I can heal, or at least treat. Once we can get him to a hospital or Recovery Girl he'll get better."

"What's the damage?" Sero asked his tone a bit calmer despite it still teeming with worry.

Asashi's smile faded as he continued "His nose has been completely shattered, from what I can see he also has fractures in both his frontal, orbital and occipital bones. In other words, his forehead and the bones that make up his Orbital floor-" Asashi drew a line on himself just under his eye to indicate where "They're crushed. On top of that, the bone at the back of his head is fractured, more than likely due to the force behind that monster as it drove his head into the ground. Not to mention he has that 'burn' and a broken arm…."

The fox turned his head back to the group and smiled for a moment before turning back to his patient "Don't worry guys… like I said, I can take care of this. I promise!" He drew a long breath before tirelessly working away at his teacher's injuries, his ears flicking as the sound of battle filled the air

This isn't good… I should be helping in the fight. I should be relieved to a point, we've managed to turn the tables and now those guys are on the defensive. Still, even with All Might being backed up by Izuku, Izumi and the others.

I can't shake this feeling. Is this really all I can do to help?

No, you need to focus Asashi! This isn't some mock battle, there are multiple pieces in play here, my job is to get these two back on their feet.

"We all had a part to play, we're helping in the only ways we know how, and right now... needs you...but reinforcements should be on their way." Akane mumbled, fingers trembling as she bit her lip carefully, free hand trembling as she pushed her short hair back.

"Asashi, we had Iida go and grab reinforcements. The others should be here any second." Uraraka explained carefully, smiling as she placed a gentle hand on his shoulder.

The fox turned, reciprocating the smile "Good, then we can-"an thunderous explosion echoed throughout the facility causing the kids to wince, drawing their attention over to the scene. Asashi blinked blankly as he felt hands clasp over his ears, before he could glance over to see whoever was covering his ears a black figure rocketed out from the lower plaza and pierced through the ceiling of the USJ building. The group stood slack jawed as they stared in awe. Finally Asashi's ears were let go and he turned to see a very concerned Akane looking back at him.

"Are your ears alright?" he chuckled and went back to work offering a soft.

"My ears are fine, they're no more sensitive than yours."

"O-Oh right, sorry it was instinctive…" Akane chuckled alongside her friend. Sero cleared his throat for a moment before uttering.

"That was a villain up there, just now wasn't it?"

"Y-Yeah," stammered back an equally shocked Sato a moment of silence befell the group before Shoji spoke up.

"This power is…-"

"All Might! No one else could do something so amazing!" Cheered Mineta and the group shared in a sigh of relief and picking up everyone's spirits

In the meantime Kirirshima stared up at the giant hole in the ceiling, eyes wide with shock as he murmured, "Is this a comic book or something? It's like he completely nullified the shock absorption. His brute strength is crazy."

"What insane power…" groaned Bakugo as he relaxed before continuing. "Does this mean he rushed at him so fast, he didn't have time to regenerate?"

"Nah, I think he just punched him really hard." offered Tanjiro as he stood alongside the others. Izumi tilted her head, shooting him a dumbfounded look.

"You know, you said you guessed on the test to get in here and the more you talk, the more I believe you." She bit out, with a shake of her head that sent the blue curls bouncing before she waved her hand in dismissal, dropping the shield between them and the remaining villains. There seemed to be no more need for it with the biggest threat having been sent flying.

"Oi! I'm not good with words like the mutt, plus no one asked you, spaz!" Hatakiri seethed as he spun to glare at Kinoshita, his attention snapping over to All Might as he spoke and the dust began to settle. He remained hunched forward from his last punch, his everlasting smile proudly spread across his lips.

"I really have gotten weaker… in my prime, five hits would have been enough." All Might stood tall, pinning his shoulders back and tightening his clenched fists before placing the palm of his fist on his chest "But it took more than three hundred hits." All might spun to the other two villains, the one covered in hands was hunched down, arms extended to either side as he trembled with anger "Now villains… I'm sure we'd all like to end this as soon as possible."

The group turned their attention to the two remaining villains, their confidence growing as they watched All Might square off with the seemingly frail hand villain. The man raised his hand to feverishly scratch along his neck, Tanjiro's brows drew over his glasses as he carefully watched the villain

"The hell is this guy on..?"

"What's wrong? You're not coming? You said you would 'clear' this level or something, right?" All Might chided before drawing his brow and glaring at the man "Come and get me, if you can." The hand villain ceased scratching, flinching back at the comment.

"Man, this is intense..." Bakugo spoke up, eyes widened in disbelief even as the tension settled momentarily, allowing a moment of reprieve as Todoroki let out a sigh.

"As expected, it looks like there is no need for us to fight."

"I mean... it's All Might, right? He's the number one hero for a reason." Izumi offered, eyes narrowing in on the remaining villains. Despite releasing her shield, Izumi was too nervous to drop her attention from the warp villain. His quirk was too tricky, his companions too fast. Izumi felt someone step beside her, with a quick glance she looked over to see Bakugo, his eyes were hardened and focused. Red eyes glanced towards her, narrowing as she tilted her head in question before he quickly looked away with a scoff. Sighing, Izumi's attention turned to the others beside her. Everyone seemed relatively unharmed thanks to All Might's timely arrival.

With a deep breath, Izumi turned to Kirishima and offered a quick peace sign. Eijiro smiled for a moment, throwing a thumbs up to her before calling out to Izuku. He'd stepped away from the group, brows creased in worry as he wandered closer to All Might.

"Midoriya! We should probably get out of here now! It'll be worse if we end up getting taken hostage instead!"

Izumi watched Izuku, he didn't bother to turn around, instead, he kept his attention on All Might as a look of dread washed over him. She went to take a step forward only to pause as Tanjiro spoke up.

"Where is Aizawa and Thirteen?"

She nodded towards the entrance, "When All Might arrived Asashi was able to get out of here and back to the entrance. He was badly injured but Asashi is taking care of that, all that's left to do is deal with these guys..." she answered with a quick nod towards the villains before her attention was drawn back to All Might.

"Well? What's wrong?" All Might challenged, eyes locked on the threat as he stood between them and the students.

A pit formed in Hatakiri's stomach as he watched the one villain begin to scratch away at his neck with both hands. Even with the distance between them, Tanjiro could clearly see several cuts and scratches marring the man's neck. There was a horrible tension filling the area as the villains bickered, their conversation nothing more than short clipped and angry bursts. Their tones were so low, none of them could hear the words being uttered. The one composed of fog was calming the other down, but whatever they were saying to each other couldn't be good. As the bickering continued, rocks and rubble clattered behind the students. A chill snaked down Izumi's spine as she whirled with the others to see the brain villain crawling from beneath the rubble.

The moment the being shifted towards them, Tanjiro's hands lit up with two disks in his hands. Bakugo and Kirishima sunk into position, readying themselves for another fight. It took only a moment for Izumi to summon wind to her fingertips, the element twining between her fingers. She could practically taste the currents within the streams of air, eyes pinned to the creature as Eijiro crossed his arms in front of himself and hardened them, calling back to the others with a steady voice.

"All Might will do something about the main bad guys. Let's go help the others!"

Izumi nodded, silver eyes lighting with excitement as she swapped elements, replacing the air streaming between her fingers with water. Pulling from the moisture in the air around herself, Izumi called the element, wrapping tendrils around her arms like snakes. Coiling in her hands in preparation. Todoroki turned to face Midoriya, he was still quietly staring over at their teacher, fists clenched.

"Midoriya?"

Before either student could react, the hand villain took off in a full sprint in unison with the fog villain after All Might.

"This is revenge for Nomu!" Screamed the man as he shot a hand out toward the symbol of peace. In an instant Midoriya vanished from where he stood, a gust of dust breaking out over the group. Izuku flew through the air, fist clenched and cocked back as he launched himself towards the flank of the fog villain, a growl ripping from his throat as he propelled himself towards them.

"Get away from All Might!"

Izumi felt her heart stutter, eyes widening in shock as she released a snake-like whip of water after her classmate, not knowing if it would be better to grab him, or attack the warp gate. Just as quickly as Midoriya launched his attack the two villains countered in unison, the fog opening up a portal allowing the other to reach an open hand through in an attempt to grab Izuku. Izumi's whip was wrapping around Izuku's middle, beginning to fan out from the center like a shield between him and the warp gate.

"I won't fall for that again!" Interjected the mist villain while his counterpart giggled hysterically. Tanjiro's heart leapt to his throat, preventing him from calling out. Time seemed to come to a standstill, as the villain's hand encroached around his classmate's face, Kinoshita's water shield was slowly spreading between Midoriya's and the villains protectively. It wasn't going to be fast enough, the villain was so fast, his hand millimeters from wrapping around Izuku's unprotected face.

A sudden crack shattered the tension, a gunshot ringing out from the entrance. It was quickly followed by two more and the villain reaching for Midoriya cried out, retracting his bleeding hand. Clutching it to his chest as he looked back towards the front door, his eyes widened with rage as he laid eyes on a group of pro heroes walking in.

"Are they here?!" All Might gasped as the students' attention slowly turned towards the entrance, shock splattered across their countenances. Izumi couldn't tear her attention from Izuku as he landed, sprawling in the dirt. Her hands were shaking as the watershield locked around him, cutting him off from the villains.

She wasn't fast enough, it almost hadn't been enough.

Asashi let out a sigh, the crushing weight on his shoulders lifted as he tail began to lazily wag between his two patients while he glanced over to the teachers. Iida had done it, he had gotten the reinforcements they needed. Principal Nezu sat atop of Vlad's shoulders; hero course class 1-B's home room teacher. Nezu smiled down at Uraraka and the others before calling out.

"Sorry everyone! Sorry we're late! I gathered all who were immediately available."

"K-Kiyosake…?" Asashi perked up and swiveled to his other knee to face Thirteen who was murmuring to him.

"Y-Yes sir?"

"May I stand?" Asashi pondered over the question for a moment before giving a warm nod, "Sato, Sero can you two help Thirteen to his feet?"

"Yeah"

"You got it!" The boys scrambled over, gingerly helping the pro to his feet and slinging his arms over either of their shoulders. While they were assisting Thirteen, Iida had made his way to the front of the reinforcements, crying out to the other students scattered around the building.

"I, Iida Tenya, class 1-A representative, have now returned!" Akane and Asashi shared a smile before Shoji walked up to them.

"Looks like we're getting out of here."

"Yeah thank goodness." Cooed Akane in response. Shoji chuckled before looking over to Kiyosake. In silent understanding as their eyes met, the fox and Shoji shared the same thought. With a simple nod of agreement, Asashi stepped aside, allowing Shoji to pick up . During the silent exchange some of the villains had begun to rush up the stairs towards the heroes.

Without missing a beat Present Mic sighed and walked to the edge of the staircase before releasing a deafening sound wave "YEAHHH!" The explosive sound sent some of the villains skittering, others losing consciousness. Those who didn't were engulfed by a wave of duplicates from . The clones flew down the steps and into the courtyard where they were locked in combat with the rest of the goons. The students watched, eyes filled with wonder and relief as the pros took over the hectic scene.

Nezu pointed towards the stairs and began barking orders "Split up and protect the students!" The teachers immediately broke off from the entrance, racing to the different zones and engaging with any and all villains along the way.

Izumi beamed as she watched the heroes easily dispatching the goons, swirling back around and running over towards Izuku. With a crooked grin she dismissed her shield of water, shaking her head and lip curling in disgust as the two villains back peddled a bit before the one covered in hands whimpered.

"Aw man, they're here. I guess it's game over now…" he sighed and turned back to his counterpart "shall we go home and try again later Kurogir—" before he could finish, a slew of bullets rained down. Izumi's eyes widened in shock as a couple tore into his legs just above his knees, others ravaging his shoulders. The man dropped to the ground and was soon surrounded by the other villain's quirk. The dark mist was either absorbing the shots or simply displacing them. Izumi froze, shooting a look back over her shoulder, watching in shock.

continued to lay down a barrage of bullets on that spot as he thought aloud "someone whose quirk could capture them all from this distance…"

"Me!" Chirped Thirteen, who had made his way over with the help of the other two students.

"Shigaraki, Tomura!" The fog villain cried before blanketing Shigaraki in his quirk. Before he could do anything else, a vacuum began to viciously pull the mist away, and drag the two towards the heroes. "This is—This is Thirteen!" He cried as he looked back to see the rescue hero deploying a black hole, aimed directly at them. The pair was dragged closer and closer to Thirteen before Kurogiri coiled around Shigaraki and warped the pair away, leaving the rest of their 'league' to be detained by the pro heroes.

As they disappeared from the playing field, leaving behind the weaker villains, the tension suffocating blanket of angst and despair lifting, allowing both students and faculty alike to breathe a bit easier.

Vlad regrouped with the other teachers towards the top of the stairs and huffed a sigh as he placed principal Nezu down next to Snipe. The hero lowered his pistol with a groan.

"My goodness…"

"I still can't believe we let them escape after they made such a big show of trespassing." Midnight added with a hiss. Nezu smiled and took a couple steps toward the stairs.

"They caught us completely unguarded, huh? More importantly, we must make sure the students are safe." The current teachers shared a nod before working to gather the students and bring them to the entrance. Nezu turned and skipped off towards the students gathered at the entrance. Asashi sat carefully amongst a group made up of: Mina, Uraraka, Iida, Akane and some others. The fox nervously rubbed at the muscles in his legs while he talked and exchanged stories with the others.

While Asashi stared up at his classmates, his mind raced with thoughts of what the others went through, whether All Might and the others were ok, what he experienced with his own quirk; was it getting stronger? Or was it because of the adrenaline he felt like his body was moving faster than what he could control. Plus that attack when he was with Koda? More importantly his mind dwelled on the injuries had sustained alongside thoughts of 'what if?' What if he had done more, could he have? Should he have stayed behind with Izumi? Asui and Mineta would have been able to handle getting Mr. Aizawa to the others... Before he could find himself drowning in those thoughts he heard the principal call out to them

"Students! I've heard one of you is to thank for taking care of and Thirteen's injuries." The students turned as the principal approached, all of them soon eyeing the fox as he scrambled to his feet.

"It was Asashi!" Ashido chirped, placing her hands on her hips as she beamed over, Ochaco nodded eagerly before offering "He acted like he had done it a million times!"

"Needless to say we felt assured knowing he was here." Akane added warmly while giving him a side eye. Asashi struggled to keep eye contact with the principal, squirming in his own skin as a blush nipped at his cheeks. Receiving praise wasn't one of his strong suits. Asashi's ears lowered ever so slightly as he rubbed the back of his head, throat tightening, threatening to close off his words.

"I-It was nothing sir. I did what I could to stabilize them… They should still get medical attention.. Sir, Mr. Aizawa-" Nezu smiled a bit brighter and raised his hand, cutting the student off short.

"Rest assured Kiyosake. They will both be well taken care of, thanks to everyone's efforts!"

Kirishima looked over the scene before running over towards Izuku, sharing a look with Izumi as she slowly looked away from the main entrance. A lopsided grin plastered to her far before turning to face Midoriya. he was laying feet away from All Might, his legs splayed out and contorted. It was obvious he had broken them when he rushed to the teacher's aid.

"Midoriya!" Kirishima called out, waving to grab Midoriya's attention as he finally made it next to Izumi. Izuku met Izumi's eyes, smiling back at them from the spot he'd dropped to. Sudden panic crossed his face, eyes wide and hands flailing between them, stammering an incomplete sentence.

"Izuku?" Izumi asked, eyes narrowing in concern as the smile faltered on her face. His legs, they were broken? Like during their entrance exams? It's no wonder he had been so fast, he must have channeled all his power into his legs to reach All Might in time.

"Hey! Are you okay?" Kirishima asked as he surpassed Izumi's spot, only to come sliding to a halt as a sudden wall of earth sprang up between them and Midoriya and All Might. Izumi and Kirishima sputtered to a stop, words of concern dying on Izumi's lips as she slowly looked over towards Cementoss, jaw slackening as the teacher straightened with a soft smile on his square face. Much like his pro hero name, the man was basically a humanoid form of cement.

"We want to make sure all the students are safe, so please gather in front of the gate with the others. We will deal with the injured here."

"R-Right that makes sense. Roger that!" Kirishima stared wide eyed at the pro before giving him a nod with a toothy smile, turning to face Izumi. "C'mon, Izumi, let's go!" With a nod Izumi quickly followed Eijiro, helping relay Cementoss's message. Before long the other reconvened at the entrance with the rest of the class, Tanjiro walked over to Asashi and plopped down next to him with a huff.

"Y-You ok Hatakiri?" murmured Asashi, his eyes softening as he looked over his classmate

"I'm fine…. Just a little hazy."

"Hazy? What do you mean?" Asashi brushed back his hair as he shot a quizzical look over to Hatakiri before perking up as he replied.

"It's a draw back to my quirk. It takes a lot of mental strength to manipulate energy into a form and direct it. If I take a step farther than that and have whatever I create make finite movements…"

"Oh does it take a toll on your mental status?" Tanjiro shot a glare at the fox before tilting his head back to Kaminari, who stood with his hands in front of his chest thrusting thumbs up to literally anyone who would look his way.

"I can get like that, well…. Not that stupid but still."Jiro looked over her shoulder and stifled a laugh at the comment.

"R-Really Hatakiri?" Asashi nodded before standing up and smiling down at his friend.

"Well i'm glad that didn't happen, plus I am willing to bet you were amazing out there! You're not injured or anything are you?" Tanjiro smirked, his giddiness bubbling up to the surface from the comment causing him to hide his face as he looked towards the rest of the class.

"I was. Though stupid icy hot ruined my moment. I'm fine, you should really worry about yourself though. You're bleeding.." Asashi looked down at his side where a splotch of blood the size of his fist rested just above his hip.

Ochaco froze, staring wide eyed at her friend "A-Asashi are you all right!?"

Izumi ran up next to Asashi and grabbed him by his shoulders, eyes wide with worry. "Asashi we need to get you some help! Maybe the rain masked a cut you got and-"

"Asashi!" bit out Shoji, his calm voice hiding worried undertones. Asashi looked at the blood for a moment before letting out a pained sigh through his nose.

"I-It's not my blood… it might be from Aizawa when we moved him. I think I might have brushed up against his arm? Regardless it is not my blood, I'm fine."

The group shared a sigh of relief and before too long everyone had been reunited at the gate, once out there was a plethora of cops, cop cars and prison busses. The class was led outside and brought in front of a detective. The man smiled at the group before turning to Asashi.

"Hey Kiddo." Asashi beamed his tail swishing behind him as he laid eyes on his dad's partner and friend to the family.

"Hey Mr.- Detective Naomasa! It's great seeing you here. Sorry it's under these circumstances.." Naosamsa nodded before taking a more serious tone.

"Alright everyone, i just need to count off the class and make sure everyone is here." He held up a couple of pieces of paper in front of him as he counted off each student "...twenty one, twenty two, twenty three.. And twenty four. Well besides All Might and the boy with the seriously injured legs, everyone else seems to be unharmed. Thank goodness. Well, just stay here, we will get this mess cleaned up and I will be back to give you guys further instructions." With a wave of his hand Naomasa walked off and the group dispersed into groups. Talking amongst themselves about what they experienced.

Hagakure clasped a hand on Ojiro's shoulder and cooed, "Ojiro. I heard you were really fired up this time! You were incredibly strong by yourself huh?" He chuckled and nervously brushed his cheek with his finger.

"I thought everyone was by themselves. I survived using hit-and-run tactics like Asashi during the bomb drill. Where were you Hagakure?" Her gloves seemed to bounce excitedly before she pointed over to Tanjiro and Todoroki.

"I was in the landslide area with those two! Hatakiri was super strong, I was surprised! Then Todoroki froze the entire area!" The two had been standing awkwardly next to one another, once over hearing her comment they shared a look of surprise before returning to stare straight ahead.

Todoroki stammered a weak "I didn't even know she was there… I almost froze her." Tanjiro scoffed and shook his head.

"That's what you get for stealing my thunder!" he paused a moment to look his classmate up and down before continuing "I also had no idea she was there… that could've been bad.."

Asashi uneasily watched the officers march an endless line of villains out of the complex. All these people agreed to show up here just to kill All Might, and they were more than willing to kill students along the way? Some even looked forward to that rather than their actual objective… he huffed a sigh before turning to the rest of the class. A chuckle slipping from his lips as he watched Aoyama bounce over to Tokoyami, Kirishima, Kaminari, Koda and Izumi. His cape flowing in the light breeze as he elegantly posed. Izumi paused in the middle of a very animated narration of her encounter.

"Where…. -" he whirled around pressing one hand's fingers on to his chest while extending an arm to the group "-Do you think I was?" To some surprise the group continued their conversation without missing a beat.

"I see, so the people you fought were also just hooligans?" Tokoyami asked carefully, his dry tone piqued with mild interest.

"They underestimated us cause we're kids." Eijiro slammed his fist into his hand, his brows drawing as he growled. Izumi listened for a moment before nodding in agreement, shooting a look at Tokoyami, lips curling mischievously as a glimmer shone in her eyes.

"'Hooligans'!? What's next, rapscallions, oh maybe scoundrels!" She teased, eyebrows bouncing playfully as the two shared a look for a moment, the group laughing as their heads shook. It wasn't long before conversation picked back up, comparing their encounters. This time Aoyama bounced to the next group composed of Sato, Shoji, Sero and Akane.

"Where.." he struck the same pose to Sero's back, being completely ignored as Sero spoke to the group.

"So it was All Might who put the hole in the dome after all?"

"That's some crazy power." gasped Sato, earning a nod from Shoji who added "Yeah. As expected from All Might."

"Yeah, it's one thing to hear about it and see it on T.V but seeing it in person? That was something incredible!" Akane sighed.

Asashi flinched as Aoyama turned once more whirled around briefly, the two locked eyes causing the fox to stiffen Please Aoyama, I don't mind if you come over here but it took forever to get the glitter out of my fur, please not again!

To his relief the boy made of sparkles ran up to Tsuyu and clasped a hand on her shoulder this time without any theatrics "Guess where I was?"

"Where?" she croaked curiously, raising a finger to her chin

He struck another extravagant pose and boasted, "It's a secret!" Before she could reply, Naomasa walked back to the students and began addressing another officer nearby.

"Let's have the students return to their classroom for now. We won't be questioning them right away, anyway, right?"

"Detective, what about ?" asked Tsu as she quickly hopped up to Naomasa, who was quickly surrounded by the worried students.

"One moment." he took a second to pull out his cell phone and tap away on it, before long he turned the phone to the class and played an audio message presumably from the doctor taking on their teacher's case. "So after examining our tests confirmed that he has Comminuted fractures in both arms as well as a facial fracture. Fortunately, there does not seem to be any serious brain damage. However, his orbital floor has broken into small pieces, his eyes may suffer from its aftereffects."

Naomasa's face fell flat as he looked over the kids "That's what he said."

Asashi gripped his goggles that hung around his neck, his stomach churning as he watched his friends melted at the message. The shared look of dread washing over everyones face felt like a punch to his gut, his ears found themselves pinned to his head as Tsu stared desperately at Tsukauchi.

"Ribbit…"

"N-No…" uttered Mineta, tears welling in his eyes as he tightly clasped his hands together as if to plead with the detective. Mina took a small step forward.
"What about thirteen?"

Naomasa pocketed his phone and turned to face her, taking a moment to fix his jacket as he watched the girl "Thirteen has been treated. The laceration from back to upper arm was pretty bad but he will survive." The class shared a sigh of relief, some good news was better than nothing.

"Is All Might going to be okay? He was bleeding..." Izumi spoke up, silver eyes narrowed in concern as the others who hadn't been there looked to her in shock.

Tsukauchi cracked a small smile as he continued "All Might will also survive. Recovery Girl's healing will be more than enough to treat him, so he's in the nurse's office." Izumi nodded calmly, letting out a deep breath.

"What about-" she started only to be cut off as Uraraka jumped forward with wide worried eyes.

"Deku…!"

"What about Midoriya!?" Iida bit out, earning a curious look from Naomasa. He paused a moment as he looked over the two.

"Midoriya Izuku." Izumi added carefully, a worried pull to her lips. His legs... he'd broken them again to try and save All Might. He's so reckless...

"Midori…?" Naomasa smiled and bowed his head with a tilt of his hat before looking back up at the three with a smile. "Oh, treatment in the nurse's office is more than enough for him, too." Class 1-A shared another sigh of relief, most regaining their composure as the detective finished his sentence. Asashi let go of his goggles and let his arm drop to his side, it was a bittersweet ending to their encounter with the unknown. A weak smile crept up onto his muzzle as he heard Ochaco chirp back and Izumi groan loudly in relief.

"Okay, good!"

"Now back to your classroom!" instructed the detective, the class replying in unison with a boisterous "OKAY!"

The class then shifted and began to make their way back to their bus, allowing Tsukauchi to turn back to another officer, this one looked exactly like a cat, even donning a bell on his shirt's collar. "Sansa, I also have business in the nurse's office. I'll leave the rest to you and Zakanashi. Please let him know when you get the chance."

"Yes sir!" Sansa saluted back before locking eyes with Asashi. Dropping the salute the cat waved and beamed over to the student "Asashi! You made it to U.A?! That's amazing, you'll have to tell me about it later!"

"Y-Yeah sure thing !" he chirped back before turning to head onto the bus with the others. Mina and Ochaco froze, staring at the cat completely dumbfounded as Uraraka murmured.

"It's a cat. Not a dog, huh?"

Mina grabbed hold of both Asashi and Ochaco's shoulders and cried "Oh, there's a dog! Well, fox and he kinda looks like you Asashi. But he's tall and looks kinda mean."

"Hm? What're you talking about Ashi-" Asashi went rigid, his eyes wide in fright, ears pinning to his head as he locked eyes with his dad. Zakanashi glared at him for a moment before turning and walking off with a couple of officers. The sense of dread froze Asashi in his tracks, the words dying in his throat as a hand landed gently on his forearm.

"Hey...Sashi...Did you know your dad would be here?" Izumi asked carefully, her silver eyes piercing into his terrified gaze with a soft frown. All he could muster was a single shake of his head as their surrounding classmates gasped in unison, eyes falling on Asashi.

"Did I just hear that right?" Kaminari demanded, looking between Izumi and Asashi as he started to board the bus.

"Did you say dad?" Kirishima seconded Kaminari's curiosity, brows furrowing as he looked over Asashi, standing like a statue between the girls, his tail slowly falling until it hung sadly behind him.

"Wait, who's dad?!" Hagakure trilled excitedly, gloved hands falling on Mina's shoulders as her golden eyes continued to stare at Asashi.

"Are you okay, Kiyosake?" Kaminari asked, carefully waving a hand in front of the fox's face as Izumi's arm shot around his shoulders, jolting him from his frozen position.

"Y-yeah!"

"That officer is Asashi's dad, Kiyosake Zakanashi." Izumi spoke carefully, squeezing his shoulder before releasing her hold on him.

"Detective. Detective Kiyosake Zakanashi." Asashi corrected, calming down at last as Izumi sputtered a careful apology.

"All right students, please find your seats so we can get back to the school." Present Mic announced, following the last of the students on board, a frown on his lips. The excitement died down as the students took their same positions on the bus. With a couple of exceptions, Jiro traded Izumi to sit beside Todoroki, unenthused by Bakugo's odd behavior. Izumi watched Asashi closely from her seat next to Katsuki, ignoring his foul attitude. Tanjiro took up a spot next to Kaminari as the two boys laughed about the state of the villains and shared stories from their encounters. Tanjiro really thrived under Denki's positive attention.

Asashi was silent for the entirety of the bus ride. Even when they were met with reporters outside of UA's gates, the fox stayed at the back of the class, keeping out of the public's eye. Watching but not paying close attention as his classmates were interviewed closely about the events. One thought was on his mind, and he couldn't let it go.

With everything that happened, how was his father going to handle this.
