Chapter 4

On the morning of August 1st 1996 shortly before noon. A frantic and terrified 10 year old Yugi made a phone call to the Bakura residence from a gas station on West jefferson after barely escaping a violent attack and sexual assault at the hands of her great uncle Aknaudin Sennen.

My wife and I had just come home from running errands when the phone rang. When I realized it was a collect call I knew it was Yugi and something was wrong. When i picked her up from the Metra stop and saw the numerous injuries and that look of pain and fear in her eyes. I called Durga when I took Yugi to the hospital and told her what happened. My wife was very upset and that day we both decided there's no way Yugi was going back to that hell hole.

Asura Bakura

Yugi had multiple lacerations on her back that required staples and over 50 stitches to close the deeper lacerations. Her arms and legs were covered in many

bruises and two black eyes and several broken ribs . Yugi was hospitalized for a total of 7 days. Aknaudin was quickly apprehended and charged with aggravated assault , felony child abuse and sexual assault against a minor under 12. To everyone's shock and dismay Aknaudin was sentenced to only 10 years years in prison 8 years of the sentence was suspended and he served only 2 years in prison. Aknaudin had to register as a sex offender for life and prohibited from contacting Yugi in any way shape or form.

I find it disturbing that a man can beat a child with a bullwhip and attempt to rape her and was basically able to get a slap on the wrist. Aknaudin better be lucky the authorities got to him before I did because he wouldn't have made it to court if I got to him first

When Samir and Raina Sennen heard about what happened to Yugi they traveled from Egypt to the US they were outraged . . . however they were angry at Yugi whom at the time was recovering at the Bakura residence after the courts granted

Asura and Durga guardianship of Yugi.

When I heard Samir and Raina were on their way to the US I knew there would be some sort of drama but what happened was far worse than that. They even managed to piss off Durga. My sister in law has always been the voice of reason but that day my brother had to stop Durga from punching that miserable bitch in the face.

Akeifa Bakura

When the Sennens arrived at the Bakura residence they pretended to have concern for Yugi and demanded to visit the child; however they saw right through the fake concern and a heated argument. Out of concern for Yugi's safety, Asura and Durga Bakura filed for and eventually was granted a permanent restraining order and a 10 year ban from the US against the Sennens.

I knew they were up to something when they came to my home with fake concern for Yugi. My husband and I knew they never cared for Yugi, heck they stopped talking to her mother years before she died. When we called them out on their nonsense they started to threaten the little girl and blamed her for their brother's disgusting and abhorrent behavior. I called the police for my in-laws protection because they were seriously close to leaving my home in an ambulance. To make sure these disgusting people didn't do this again my husband and I made steps to keep our cousin safe and away from them as well.

Durga Bakura

Over the years Yugi had grown to be more violent and angry towards those who attempted to bully her. In middle school she had an encounter with local bully and gangbanger Ushio Tetsu. On November 6th 1998, he cornered the small girl while she was alone due to the fact that she was serving detention and her friends and cousin had already gone home earlier. By 5pm 14 year old Tetsu was hospitalized in critical condition after receiving blunt force trauma to the head after Yugi struck Tetsu with a tire iron repeatedly followed by a kick to the groin area. 12 year old Yugi was apprehended and placed in juvenile detention where she was originally sentenced to 30 days but due to fights with other juvenile offenders and a few corrections officers, in which her sentence was extended to over 2 years. She was finally released on February 16th 2001 after serving a total of 27 months in juvenile lock up.

It was obvious that Yugi was becoming increasingly violent; However in each case she didn't act violently without provocation. Her history shows each time she acted in self defense or retaliation. She was never violent towards anyone without reason and sadly it's the very reason she's currently in the unfortunate situation she's in now.

Mai Valentine

When Yugi was released she was surprised that Asura and Durga allowed her to return to their home. Their only condition is that the next time she was in any trouble she would come to them instead of taking matters into her own hands. They believed at the time her violence came from being physically abused and sexualy assaulted by Auknaudin and bullied by Tetsu and the need to protect herself by any means. By the time she was released her friends and family stood by her side even more and another person would come into her life that would come to care for her and protect her as well but sadly within a few years she would lose that person as well.

I remember when we met that crazy bastard, Malik and I were sophomores in high school and Yugi and Ryou were freshmen. He was Malik's cousin, my best friend and eventually Yugi's first boyfriend. He was a fucking psycho no doubt but when it came to Yugi he was a different person. He was protective and patient with her and I do believe he actually loved her and when he died it hit us all hard, but it hit her the hardest and that's when I believed she gave up on anyone else loving her or her loving them at that point for years.

Akeifa Bakura

I have to admit I wasn't too thrilled at my little cousin dating someone who seemed to have a lot of issues and problems of his own. When Yugi and Akeifa convinced my wife and I to let him come to our home and meet him, I could see he genuinely cared for Yugi. Despite the fact that the boy obviously had a few screws loose he does show concern for his family and friends. We even allowed him to hang out at the house as long as either me or Durga was there at the house. They were each other's first everything so it wasn't a surprise when she took his death very hard and it did something to her emotionally it was obvious to everyone that knew them both.

Asura Bakura

On the afternoon of September 30th 2002. Yugi and Akeifa made plans to meet up with Melvin, Ryou , Malik at North Riverside mall but Malik and Ryou came to the Bakura residence with some sad and devastating news.

Right before me and Yugi were getting ready to leave, Malik and Ryou came to the house and it was obvious that they were both crying. Then that's when we were told that 3 assholes tried to rob him and Malik. Melvin told Malik to run and shortly afterwards Melvin was shot and killed by one of the robbers and died on the spot. Yugi didn't want to believe it but, when it finally sunk in, she was very sad and heartbroken and for the next week she stayed in her room and cried. She didn't eat for nearly a week and refused to talk to anyone. She was in so much pain and that point she made the decision not to give her heart to anyone else and she grew cold and I believe that's when she started running the streets.

Akeifa Bakura

By the end of 2002 her criminal exploits drew attention to one of the largest crime syndicates in the US, she was also noticed by the FBI, but they weren't looking to put her behind bars, they had other ideas and those reasons were far worse than incarceration.

End Of Chapter 4

The next chapter will have Yugi talking about when she came to live with her cousins, the incident with Ushio, her incarceration, her relationship with melvin (crosshipping) and his death.

Yami Marik will be known as Melvin in this story.
