Chapter 7 Malory
Mal's POV
The Next Day
Auntie Grim decided that today's dragon taming lesson would involve running around a maze with shields trying to dodge dragons.
"Hey Auntie Grim", I started.
"Is everything okay Mal", Auntie Grim asked.
"I was just curious about something", I replied.
"What are you curious about", Auntie Grim asked.
"I was reading the book you gave me yesterday", I started. "And I was wondering, is it true that nobody has ever seen an Occisor?"
"Yes", Auntie Grim replied. "And anybody who did, didn't live to tell the tale."
But I did.
"You see", I started. "That's the thing. What if it wasn't the Occisor that killed those people?"
"Are you serious", Audrey asked as she passed me. "What else could it be?"
Before I could answer, I heard this.
"Watch out", I heard Ben yell.
Then, he tackled me to the ground and blocked the fire blast from a dragon with a shield.
The dragon ran off after this.
"Thanks Ben...", I started.
"What is wrong with you Mal", Ben asked angrily interrupting me. "You are the chief's daughter! You out of all people should be taking this seriously, but you're not!"
One Hour Later
I walked into the valley the Occisor was in, with a fish in my hand.
"Hello", I called out. "You there? I come with a peace offering."
After I said this...I heard something behind me.
I turned around...and saw the Occisor.
It glared at me before noticing the fish in my hand, which I held out to it.
It looked at me wearily, and then, before I could even react, it nabbed the fish out of my hand and gobbled it right up!
After it did, it started looking closer at me, looking for more fish.
"I don't have anymore", I revealed.
The Occisor believed me, and then...it just stared at me.
I tried to touch it's forehead, and to my surprise...it let me.
"Wow", I said in awe. "You're not like I thought you were."
The Occisor just continued to let me put my hand on it's forehead.
"You need a name", I said before changing the subject. "Let's see. My name is Mal, so why don't we call you...Malory?"
