My Hero Academia and Goblin Slayer: The Crossover Paradox: Part 8

Future Hope:

"Ten Years." Mei Hatsume muttered as she rechecked her Math once more. "It will take ten years to completely recreate and modify Osikaki Tashiniaki's DNA Cells to access his quirk to open a similarity." She moved over to another White Board and began to review her latest schematics. She would need Live Cells from Tashiniaki for her creation to work, so that meant cloning from the samples that the Hero Administration had taken. To clone the Cells was not the only problem, she would also have to find the almost undetectable Quirk Micro Emzines within that Cell. Otherwise there was no possible way to even make her Creation open a Portal. Taking several Pictures of her research, she sent them to David Shields. Hoping that perhaps she was wrong with her Math, that perhaps it would not take that long to clone the DNA. But she knew her Math was spot on and correct.

Back to Business:

Two nights and three days went by rather normally. At most Momo found she was able to get Izuku to cuddle at night, while during the day they spent the time becoming more comfortable with each other. They were somewhat used to living together as Roommates that shared the same bed. Now though they were married. Twice she was tempted to strip down naked and parade around the Main Room in all of her glory. But she knew if she did that, not only would it embarrass her and she doubted she had the nerve. Izuku would probably have a stroke. So instead she pressured him into kissing her more often. Letting him get used to that aspect of their relationship. They had not discussed the future yet. Mainly due to that they were both still hopeful that somehow they would get home. Withing an hour they were leaving the City in route on a Quest. Of course it was one that involved Goblins. To the South a Village had been attacked by Goblins and over half a dozen Girls were captured and over twenty of the Villagers had been slaughtered. They arrived a day and a half later. While Goblin Slayer, Momo and Izuku split up to talk to Villagers and collect other useful information. The Elf went to look for tracks since it had not snowed and the Goblin Footprints were still there. With Izuku with her, Momo made her way over to the Wounded and the Dead. Handing the Village Healer some Antibiotics and some pain medication she had created while they rode in the back of the Wagon. While Izuku went to check the on the dead Goblins. There were about ten of the Monsters stacked behind a wall. Goblin Slayer wanted to know what type of weapons they had, so he left it for Izuku to check. Momo talked to the Healer about the dead and wounded. Finding out something that made the whole situation worse. Once done she joined the others. "I have some bad news." She stated as Izuku arrived with Goblin Slayer.

"As do I. Let us hear yours first." Goblin Slayer said and Momo gestured over to the Canvas Covered dead bodies that were lined up by one of the Buildings. The Villagers were waiting to bury them as soon as the ground was no longer frozen. As for the Goblins, they intended to burn them right after Goblin Slayer and his party left.

"There are two Adventurers among the dead. A third...a girl was taken with the rest of the Captives." Momo said and then held out two Obsidian Rank Tags. The Priestess paled, thinking back to when the Goblins attacked her first Party. One of them was cut apart while still alive, another was poisoned and Goblin Slayer had to mercifully kill her. The only other survivor had been brutally raped repeatedly. Which in her mind was worst then death. She had only survived such a fate, was the timely arrival of Goblin Slayer. 'So what is your bad news?" She asked and Goblin Slayer looked over at Izuku. He held up a Short Spear that had a small ax attached to it.

"That is a Halberd! Where the fuck did these...where would they get something like that?" The Dwarf asked taking the Halberd and checking it over. Whoever did, modified it for Goblins and not someone bigger.

"That is something we need to find out. If these become widely used by the Goblins, it could cause disaster." Goblin Slayer stated. "Entering a Nest could prove deadly." Momo took the shortened Halberd and examined the small ax like blade and the spearhead. It was roughly made and had indications that whoever did make it was not a seasoned Blacksmith. "You see it too, Creati. Whoever made this and the others, was not a seasoned Blacksmith. The blades are crudely made and the shaft is nothing more then a Sapling. So my guess is that a Shaman found one and devised a way to make them. But not an exact copy of the original." The Elf returned and pointed east.

"All of the tracks lead off in that direction. Oh and from what I can tell they are not concerned about anyone following them, because they did not even try to cover their tracks at all." The Elf said with concern, then looked at the weapon in Momo's hands. "Hey is that a Halberd? I have not seen something like that in...oh about a thousand years. The one I saw was being sold as an Antique." She said, then took it from Momo and frowned. "This almost looks like a copy of an Imperial Halberd."

"Imperial?" Izuku asked and the Elf nodded.

"Oh about a five thousand or so years ago there was an Empire in the far south that tried to conquer the World. They made it to about the High Plains 100 miles from herre and were defeated by my an Army of Elves, Humans, Dwarfs, Lizard Men and just about every other Race in the land." The Elf said rubbing her fingers over the blades carefully.

"Are you talking about the Tolbinar Empire?" The Dwarf asked and the Elf nodded.

"Yes. I bet 10 Gold Coins that somewhere around here is an Imperial Weapons Cache. I have heard from some historians that the Empire liked to establish Supply Caches all over the region. Mostly in caves." The Elf added and the Dwarf shook his head.

"No bet long ears. I had heard the same when I was but a lad and studied history." The Dwarf said, then glanced back to where the Goblin Bodies were stacked. "Was there any other weapons there?" Izuku nodded.

"Yes along with those Halberds, there were short swords mostly Gladius style...much like Goblin Slayers...but they were broader lengthwise and thicker." Izuku replied thinking it more important to tell Goblin Slayer and the others about the Halberd. Though he had no idea what it was at first. Only that it looked extremely deadly.

"This is bad." Momo said shaking her head. "With something like this for the Goblins to copy, modify and reproduce. Or in case of the Gladius Swords. If they did share this with other Goblins it could have deadly repercussions." She thought about it. If the Goblins had more effective weapons, then they would raid more and take more Captives. Reproduce in larger numbers and then repeat the process until they had a huge number of the loathsome creatures. So that it would take an Army to destroy them all. Not a handful of Adventurers.

"Then that is our objective. Find and destroy not only the Nest, but this Weapons Cache along with all the Weapons the Goblins had made." Goblin Slayer said and they all agreed.

With the Elf in the lead, following the trail of Footprints. She made her way keeping a keen eye for traps. Remembering that they had a tendency to set up traps in case they were followed. Since it was still during the day, she did not have to worry about Scouts or Sentries that would alert the other Goblins about someone following them. She stopped at a glade and signaled for the others to come closer. "There was another group that joined them here." Goblin Slayer said seeing what had made the Elf delay.

"Yes about ten or fifteen of them. Why would there be another group of them?" The Elf asked and Goblin Slayer thought for a moment. The second Group seemed to have been waiting for the other group to arrive.

"We are about a mile from the Village. These here could have been reinforcements. In case something went wrong." Goblin Slayer said kneeling to check the footprints of the Others and then looking over to where they had been waiting.

"Smart little buggers." The Dwarf said and glanced about. "So long ears which way now?" He asked her and the Elf smiled.

"That way Barrel Belly. They are still heading towards the east." The Elf retorted pointing in that direction where the forest seemed to thicken. Walking onward, they stopped at about mid afternoon and ate. Goblin Slayer glanced about and shook his helmeted head.

"I do not like this. If we do not reach them before dusk, we could end up walking into an ambush as soon as it gets dark." Goblin Slayer commented.

"So what should we do if we do not reach their Nest before it gets dark?" Momo asked, everyone knew that Goblin Slayer was already concocting some type of plan.

"Now remember. No Poison. No Fire and No Explosives." The Elf stated naming each one off on her fingers.

"Does those restrictions on Explosives apply to Creati?" Goblin Slayer asked and everyone shook their heads.

"No. Because she won't try to blow up several acres to kill a couple of Goblins." The Elf said and everyone but Goblin Slayer laughed. "So got any ideas or are you going to once more keep it to yourself and then direct us to do different tasks that we all deem odd until it somehow kills all of the Goblins." She asked and suspected that was the case.

"Actually I do have an idea or two." Goblin Slayer said and smiled behind his helm. Once more not telling any of them what he had in mind. Only what parts each would play if and when the sun began to set.

An hour before the sun began to set, the group came upon a large hill made of mostly rock. Searching around the immediate area, they found a cave that led into the hill. "This has to be it." The Elf said, sniffing and then stepping back covering her nose. "Yep this is it. It stinks badly in there." Goblin Slayer glanced about and inhaled sharply.

"Something amiss Sir Goblin Slayer?" The Lizard Priest asked and Goblin Slayer gestured around the entrance of the Cave.

"Yes. From what I can tell this is a large Nest. There should be sentries posted around here. But there isn't. So that means that they are not concerned with anyone coming inside." Goblin Slayer said and the Priestess held her staff more tightly in her hands.

"The Ambush is inside isn't it?" The Priestess said and Goblin Slayer nodded.

"That would be my guess. The bastards want us to come inside where they will probably be ready to attack us." Goblin Slayer said and since he was no longer concerned that they would be still on the trail in the open, he had to come up with a different strategy. While he did that Momo created Nightvision Goggles and peered into the Cave. Then shook her head.

"Well whatever plan you come up with, Gas won't work. The Tunnel splits and both passages go off in separate directions. There is also a small pool of what appears to be water at the end of this part, right before it splits." Momo said and The Dwarf chimed in.

"So even if you wanted or we allowed you to use fire, that wouldn't work either." The Dwarf said and he doubted that Goblin Slayer was not even thinking about fire.

"No I actually have a better idea then your Gas Bombs or using Fire. First though we need to ascertain that there are no other Entrances or Exits. That is you twos job." He pointed to the Elf and the Lizard Priest. "If you find any you need to block them off. Next Deku, do you think you could hoist that big boulder over here?" Goblin Slayer pointed at a large Boulder half the size of the cave entrance. No where big enough to completely block the entrance. Izuku nodded and powered up. Walking over to the big granite rock, he hefted and brought it over. "Good set it right there at the right side of the Entrance." Pointing to the right a few feet on the side. Setting it down. "Good. Next we need as many pointed wooded sticks about two feet long." Pulling out his own Sword and with confusion by the others. They all started sharpening sticks. Having no idea what Goblin Slayer was planning. With over a hundred done, he began to stick them into the ground on the left side. Now everyone was completely confused.

"Can we know why we did that?" Izuku asked and Goblin Slayer stood after pushing the last of the sharpened sticks in the ground.

"It is quite simple. Those bastards inside are going to come streaming out of there. So I want to funnel them and not have them spread out. The Sharpened sticks keep them from going to the left. While the big Rock keeps them from spreading out on the right." Goblin Slayer pointed down at the Ground on the right, before they could ask why not put sharp sticks there as well. "If you look closely under that big Rock is nothing but rock. So we cannot do what we did on the left." He then moved back to the wood line. "Now the next phase of my plan. Creati, I need something that disorients them."

"I think I know just the thing." Momo pulled up her Kevlar Armored front and concentrated for a few seconds. Then removed a 2 foot by 6 inch black Speaker from herself. She showed it to Goblin Slayer. "This emits a loud high intensity constant alarm. It is so loud that it basically makes someone deaf for about ten minutes. Quit painful and effective." She explained and then smiled. "Something I once thought up right after I met Kyoka Jiro. She can emit a sound blast through speakers that can really knock someone for a loop." She told him and Izuku was the only other one that knew just how effective Momo's best friend was with those speakers. He watched her once use her vibrations to break through a cement wall, just by plugging her jacks into it. The Priestess raised her staff to get Goblin Slayers attention. While Momo created earplugs.

"Still how are we going to get them to come out?" The Priestess asked, not really wanting to enter the Cave while there was so many Goblins inside. That were all set to spring an ambush.

"That is easy. Remember when I said these bastards have a very keen sense of smell. Any chance Creati you could make something that smells like...women...that are...excited." If anyone could see inside Goblin Slayers helmet they would have seen how red his face had just turned.

"Oh do you mean like pheromones?" Momo asked and then realized no one from this World would know that that was and she was not about to explain, not in mixed company. "I think I know what you are talking about, so yes I can make something that smells like Women and make it really potent." She blushed slightly as did the Priestess. Looking over she also noticed that Izuku was also blushing. Pulling some rations out of her bag, she ate.

"Now the last part of my plan. Priestess you need to use your Protection Spell to keep them from getting out of the kill zone. Which means you have to use two Protective Shields, again. One at the Entrance and one right in front of us." Goblin Slayer said and the blonde girl nodded. At that moment the Elf and Lizard Priest returned.

"It is done Sir Goblin Slayer. We found seven smaller entrances and have blocked them all off with rock." The Lizard Priest said as the Elf examined the preparations that had been made as Goblin Slayer explained his Plan to them.

"Sounds like it will work, but if a large number comes out. Even disoriented it could be hard to take them all down." The Elf said thinking about when they were at Watertown and them fighting a surge of them coming at them. This time they did not have a Portal to take cover under or a roof of rock to crush them under. Izuku looked over at a even larger boulder that sat undisturbed for years. It was the size of a dump truck and probably weighed just as much. This one was more like a slab of rock. He loathed the idea of killing, but it was at this point necessary. He raised his right hand.

"I will take care of the Goblins. The rest of you need to stand clear." Izuku said softly and all eyes turned towards him. As he pointed over at the slab of rock.

Waiting for the Goblins to come out, Momo sat next to Izuku and leaned closer. "Do you know what today is?" She whispered to him and he looked at her.

"The fourth day of Noric." Izuku replied and Momo gave a soft laugh, shaking her head.

"Well yes. But on our World..do you what day it should be?" Momo asked and he shook his head. He had not really kept track, knowing he should but the conversion between their Worlds Calendar and here was so different it was hard to do. The days were two and a third hours longer. He began to calculate it in his head and she decided that she rather tell him so he doesn't spend the next hour trying to figure it out. They might not have time for that. "It is December 23. two more days until Christmas." She smiled at him. "Merry Christmas Izuku." She said and he slowly smiled. Realizing she was right.

"Merry Christmas Momo. I kinda wish you told me a couple weeks ago, so I could have gotten you something for Christmas." Izuku felt guilty that he had not, even though on this World they did not have Christmas. What they did celebrate around this time was the Spring Solstice. Which was in about three cycles away on the ninth day of Holisha. When the two Moons would be the brightest.

"Don't worry about it. I didn't get you anything either. I actually only deduced that it was nearing Christmas only yesterday." Momo told him and leaned her shoulder against him. "I think it might be upsetting if we did celebrate Christmas, because all it would do is remind us that we are not home with our families." He had to agree because it was true.

"Get ready." Goblin Slayer announced pointing at the Cave entrance. Everyone put their earplugs into their ears and Izuku stood and activated 30% of One for All. Stepping over to the large slab of rock and braced his feet. His arms and legs tingled painfully. As he prepared to lift and then slam the rock down onto the Goblins, he chastised himself for slacking off and not training more.

Thirty or forty Goblins surged out of the Cave, clustered together and each one had either a Halberd or a Gladius Sword. When all of them were out and still clustered together, Momo activated the Speaker. The Sound was high pitched and loud. She and the others could hear it even with the Earplugs in their ears. The Goblins not having earplugs, dropped their assorted weapons and covered their ears with their hands. Most squealed in pain and tried to go back into the Cave to get away from the painful noise. But the Priestess had erected a Protective Shield to prevent them from advancing or retreating. Before any of the Loathsome Creatures could react, a huge Slab of Rock slammed down on almost all of them. The survivors were soon cut down by Goblin Slayer and The Lizard Priest. Momo turned of the Speaker a minute later. "Well that was easy." The Elf said with a small content smile, letting loose an arrow into the last Goblin that was running away from the carnage.

"Not really." Izuku said grunting with pain, slumping down onto his knees. Both his arms and legs were bleeding. Momo walked over to him and knelt, next to him examining his self inflicted injuries. Joined by the Priestess.

"I have one Miracle left. Let me heal him." The Priestess said, kneeling as well and recited the healing spell. Calling upon the Earth Mother to heal Izuku's injuries. Well most of them. So Momo created bandages and wrapped his arms and legs. "Tomorrow I will heal him again and then he should be completely healed." She told him and assisted Momo in wrapping his arms and legs.

"We need to block the entrance and then tomorrow go in and finish them off." Goblin Slayer said and the Dwarf stepped forward.

"I can do that easy enough." The Dwarf removed a small pebble and then tossed it at the half closed Entrance now partially blocked by the Stone Slab. Casting a spell it grew and then set down against the Entrance. "There that should keep them in there until Morning." They all then went to the edge of the clearing and after Momo created some trip flares and set them up. Behind and in front of them. They settled down for the night.

Each took a turn keeping a weary eye out for any sign of the Goblins or any other enemy.

A half hour after sun up, Izuku moved the Dwarf Made Boulder out of the way and the Elf set two arrows into the two Goblin sentries before they had a chance to alarm anyone else inside. They all but Goblin Slayer expected to find a large number waiting for them, but there was only the sentries. Momo created two flares and handed one to Goblin Slayer and the other to the Dwarf. Entering, they came to the split and the Elf examined the two paths. "I would hamper a guess that they are down that one to the left. The other, it is well traveled but not as much as that one." She said pointing at each.

"We go to the Right first. Creati leave one of those burning trip lines here to make sure that none of the Goblins try to sneak in behind us." Goblin Slayer said and Momo removed one of the two dozen she had already created last night from her bag. She had unset them right after they all arose and packed them in her backpack. Setting one of them up across the Left tunnel. They all proceeded down the right. At the end of the tunnel and after dispatching four more Goblins. The tunnel came out into a vast chamber and they found the source of the Weapons that the Goblins were using or molding for their use. It was an old Imperial Weapons Cache. The Lizard Priest made short work of it after casting a time spell that turned all of the weapons into dust. With that done all that was left was to finish off the remaining Goblins and rescue the Captives.
