I'm sat in the Library with Remus and Ash. The three of us (or maybe just the two of them) are working incredibly hard on out Defence Against the Dark Arts homework about curing werewolf bites. I was far more distracted by the spines of all the books around us than the ones we were actually using to research the topic. I could tell that every so often my friends sent angry glares at me saying "You really need to do this work" but I tried not to pay too much attention to their accusatory mannerisms. At least I was actually here. I was doing better than James, Sirius and Peter who seemed to all have vanished.

I finally give in to their silent pressure and once more pick up my pen to continue writing out the essay. The next time I look up for a second to read more of the book beside me my eyes glance over Remus' face and his furrowed brow has a hint of… guilt? And, anger? Which makes no sense to me. But I quickly brush it off and read the next paragraph.

I'm reaching the end of my writing, knowing full well that my friends have finished and are talking in hushed voices beside me, when I hear a noise that makes my ears prick up and causes me to look around. I see the trio of lost friends approaching our table as silently as possible which, naturally, includes knocking over a stack of books. I shake my head as they come to sit with us.

"What!" Sirius cries, obviously forgetting that in libraries you are supposed to be quiet, before going into a whisper, "They shouldn't've left them in a place where a person could easily have knocked them over!"

"The middle of a table?" I ask still shaking my head at his idiocy.

"Exactly! What kind of person leaves very loud when knocked over books there?" He says triumphantly.

I have no words for him so I just roll my eyes and avert my attention back to my essay.

"Are you three actually going to do some work?" Remus asks looking at the boys. Peter is pretty good with getting his pitiful homework attempts in even if it does take the three of us have to help him. James and Sirius, however, seem to think that if they "forget" about their homework often enough that the teachers will think they have some sort of memory problem and excuse them from all future homework – which is going incredibly well for them and has not resulted in a myriad of detentions.

"Maybe tomorrow." James groans staring at out book-scattered table.

"You said that yesterday." Ash points out.

"And the day before that!" I add, smiling.

"Okay," James whines plonking his head on the table, "This time I mean it." Sirius gives him a horror-stricken face.

"You swear?" Ash pushes, not believing the procrastinating teen.

"I swear on my hair." He says seriously. That is a serious statement to make with the endless possibilities if he doesn't keep to his promise.

"So, if you guys didn't come to work: why the hell are you bothering us?" Remus asks.

"Well," Sirius begins, "While you losers," he gets glared at, "Were doing whatever this is." He says examining a book like it's a dead rat.

"Homework?" I add helpfully.

"Yeah, yeah. That." He says before continuing, "We had the most incredible…"

"Most awesomist…" James adds.

"Most good." Peter adds, trying.

"Idea." Sirius concludes the mismatched sentence, and with our questioning and slightly worried – yet excited – looks continues, "We were thinking that Halloween at Hogwarts has been for too boring for ages. Just a little feast and whatever is so boring."

"Yeah, and that's traditional? What else is there to do at Halloween?" Ash asks.

"Well in America." James continues Sirius' speech, "They have this big thing and haunted houses and it's really scary."

"So?" I say not following, "Who cares what they do? That's not really what Halloween is in the Wizarding World?"

"You sound like mother!" Sirius mutters earning him my best glare and me some introspection. I did not want to sound like that women. Sirius really does know how to hit a nerve and get me to do what he wants.

"So," James finishes, obviously trying to avoid me and my twins' rising tensions, "We were thinking that we turn Hogwarts into one enormous haunted house. We make traps and pranks and things that jump out everywhere."

My eyes light up, especially as I can hear the boys' excitement. This was actually a really cool idea and its coolness overpowered my doubt in following an American tradition. But of course, our sensible friends had something boring to say about it.

"Do you really think this is a good idea?" Remus questions, "We could get into real trouble for this and I don't mean random detention – which you two seems perfectly happy with – I mean expulsion trouble. Like bye, bye Hogwarts forever trouble. Like wand broken trouble. Like…."

"That's enough, Remus!" I say cutting him off. If he says anything more, I think I might start having second thoughts and I'm far too excited for that.

"He is right though, Lyra." Ash says, worry coating her voice, "We don't know how the teachers will react. Yes, they seem good-natured and sometimes amused by our previous antics but this isn't like that. This is so much bigger and they might not be up for it…"

"Oh, come on guys!" Sirius whines, "It's not like we're going to blow up the school. It'll be harmless. Nobody will get hurt, well maybe." The pair give him a disapproving look, "It'll be fine. I'm sure nothing bad will happen."

"Famous last words." I mumble.

"Who's in?" James asks.

A chorus of me comes from Sirius, Peter, James and I. "Come on guys!" I say smiling, "It'll be fun." I'm quieter for my next bit, "And without you supervising think what we can get up to."

"Okay, we'll do it." They say, simultaneously. I knew pointing that out would work.

"So, what's the plan?" I ask to the already absolutely ecstatic boys.

"Well…" Sirius begins.

So, time for another chapter and despite hoping that 2021 would be better than the hellscape that was the Year-That-Must-Not-Be-Named but this first week seems to be putting all our hopes and dreams under the guillotine. In personal news, my GCSEs have been cancelled, which I'm not a happy bunny about, and I'm now stuck learning at home. Which I'm not loving - although it for some strange reason really boosts my confidence... which is awesome for me as I've had real issues with that kind of stuff. But I'm getting off topic.

This is the first in a sort of trilogy of chapters, so that's fun. And something scary is happening: I'm catching up with the chapters I've posted to the chapters I've written which is *not* good ahahah. I've been having loads of fun playing Minecraft at the moment so this has taken a bit of a backpedal. But I do find motivation often so hopefully this won't become a disaster whereby I fail at uploadng... But no need to worry! :D

Anyway, Please Follow/Favourite, Comment and, of course, have a nice day! :D
