Chapter 7: The 5Th Squad Jam Begins

Sgt. Eugeo "Blue" Gray
22
nd Special Air Service Regime, Squadron D
Squad Jam Waiting Lobby.
2 weeks after the 4
th Squad jam

2 weeks has passed since our last win in the 4th squad jam. As of now, Capt. Griffin is having a small briefing while I am trying to rest my eyes for a bit. Ever since we got that first win, attention of other teams is now on us and they are willing to take us down. From the ever so strategic, Memento Mori boys to the winners of SJ 3, Team LPFM. For me, I never really cared about them they're just targets that are needed to be taken down.

"Blue..." That's the only mutter that I hear.

"BLUE!" I snapped out of my senses suddenly due to the loud yell.

"We need you on the guard always, young lad." Capt. Griffin reminded me.

"The strategy will be doing today is stealth approach." Capt. Griffin continues his strategy briefing.

"The main point of this strategy is to approach enemies unnoticed and to kill only what we can kill."

"As per the latest Intel given by Truffles, LPFM and Memento Mori squad are joining in this fight. So, we got to keep our eyes peeled, these blokes mean serious business."

"With these Intel, I think we can pull this off and have beers after." Scump snickered in.

"On bloody guard, Scumpy." Capt. Griffin said in a serious tone.

"Yes sir." Scump said in a stiff voice.

Way too bubbly... I thought.

"Alright mates, remember this is bandit country."Capt. Griffin said as we wore our smoke masks.

"Shoot everything that moves." The whole squad said in unison as we reload our guns.

"Lock and loaded." I muttered to myself as I reload my Desert Eagle.

Then we got teleported on the urban section, in top of a 4-storey building as soon the match started.

"Squadron D, secure the perimeter." Griffin commanded.

"Roger." I checked the nearby doors that leads inside the building.

"Checking doors." I slowly opened the door and peek inside.

"Doors clear sir."

"Clear on my side sir" Newt reported.

"Same on my side too." Scump reported in.

"Nothing's on my side too." Wall reported in.

"Good, we got 10 minutes to before the next scan starts. Check corners in every floor, can't afford to have hidden blokes stabbing us in the back." Griffin commanded.

"Blue, proceed down to the next floor, I got your back." Scump said to me.

"Roger." I gone down to the 4th floor with caution, peeking every corner.

"4th floor cleared sir." I reported in, I tried to do a small peek outside of the building doors and saw 5 bandits outside in the front.

"We got 5 bandits outside the building. Neutralize?" I reported in.

"Negative Blue, let them pass." Griffin commands.

"Affirmative."

"Capt., we got another squad on arriving in the area." Scump reported in the rooftop.

"Hm… that's good." Griffin said.

"We can make something out of it, we got 5 more minutes remaining to wipe these two squads in one go." Griffin added.

"What do you have in mind Capt.?" I asked Captain Griffin.

"Very simple, let them eat each other and kill the remaining ones that survive the encounter." Griffin said.

"Squadron D, stand by." Griffin commanded.

"Roger." I replied.

"It should be starting now in…" Griffin started counting on the radio.

"1" I heard numerous gunfire and shouting outside the building.

I took 3 minutes until the gunfire, explosions and shouting lessen outside the building.

"Blue, do a small peek outside." Scump said and I did a small glance outside the building.

"Turns out the squad in front won the encounter with only 3 remaining." I reported in.

"It makes the job much easier then." Newt said in the radio.

As I glanced outside, I also spotted an opened manhole outside the building.

"Seems luck is on our side, Captain." I muttered.

"I spotted an opened manhole outside the building. It got opened maybe due to the encounter." I reported in.

"Hm… lucky." Captain Griffin replied.

"Let's wipe the remaining 3 and proceed traversing through the sewers." I heard the orders clearly and started looking spot to find a visual on one of the enemy team.

"I got a visual on one of the guys." I aimed my M4A4 on the enemy outside.

"I got one on the other." Newt reported.

"Got the third guy." Wall added in.

"Suppressors attached, mates" Griffin said on the radio.

"Roger." I attached my suppressor on my rifle as I stay my aim on the enemy.

"Ready when you are, Capt." Wall reported.

"Ready." Newt responded.

"Ready as well." I replied.

"At the count of 3." Griffin started.

"Drop them." I pulled the trigger as soon as Griffin released the command.

"Nice shot, mates." Griffin praised through the radio.

"Let's hide all the bodies so we can leave without a trace." Griffin said.

"2 minutes before the scan sir." I reported in.

"Hmm… never mind hiding the bodies, that would be cost us a lot of time." Griffin said.

"Let's just leave this place." Griffin commanded.

"Roger that, Capt." I reported in.

SAS HQ, Hereford
Project BLUE EYES Control Room

As I observe Eugeo's performance in the GGO server, we are tracking his battle performance as they fight their way on the 5th Squad Jam.

"How's our mate on the field?" I heard a voice from behind, it was James.

"So far, so good." It was the only reply I could do.

"That's my man, right there." James said proudly.

"Mate, you said it as if he was your son or something." I said to that simulations expert.

"Hey, we trained that lad for over 2 months of intense training." James replied.

"Yeah, ok whatever mate." I replied back with no interest.

After our constant bantering, we proceeded in observing Eugeo's performance in the match. Dr. Gray along with her daughter, Dr. Ash came to the control room shortly to watch Eugeo's performance.

"How's the boys in the field?" Miss Asheria asked me.

"Squadron D is performing pretty well, Miss Ash." I replied in a serious tone.

"Eugeo's applying every stuff that the 2 months training gave him." James added.

"Let's just hope no problems come out after this match." Miss Ash said in worry.

"Nah, he's stronger than that I'm pretty sure no problems will come out this time unlike the last 2 month which consists of non-stop emotional breakdowns." James said.

"Yeah, I agree on that." I just agreed nonchalantly.

Somewhere in the urban section.

"Chill LLENN-chan, I'm pretty sure we can beat those smoke boys once we encounter them." Pitohui said in a confident tone.

"I'm not sure about that, Pito-san. These smoke men that you are talking about has an unpredictable presence every time I watch them play in the field." LLEN said with a bit of worry.

"The more unpredictable they are, the more I want to kill them all!" Pito said in a bit sadistic tone.

"How are things in your side, M?" Pitohui said via comms.

"So far, no visual on the smoke men." M replied as he does reconnaissance on top of an 8-storey building along with Fukaziroh.

"Hmm… weird. I'm pretty sure they are here in this part of the urban section. I checked the map 10 minutes ago after the satellite scan." Pitohui said as she walks along in the urban sections.

"Pito-san! Look dead players!" LLENN shouted and Pitohui gone to where LLENN is.

"Dead bodies, looks like a gunfight happened here." Pitohui said in a serious tone.

"Looks like it." LLENN replied as he observes the surroundings and found an opened manhole.

"Pito-san look! someone may have entered in this manhole." LLENN called.

"Looks like someone is moving through the sewers." Pitohui said as she was about to make a jump for it.

"Pito-san don't." LLENN stopped her.

"What? We need to follow their tracks if we want to hunt them down." She said casually.

"Look at the bottom." LLENN pointed something in the bottom of the manhole and noticed a red blinking light.

"Probably, proximity IEDs." LLENN said.

"These smoke boys, entered the sewers and placed explosive charges in case someone follows them." Pitohui said in a serious tone.

"Pretty much, yeah Pito-san" LLENN said in agreement.

"I knew it, these smoke men are no joke." LLENN said muttered.

"We need to keep our guard, Pito-san." LLENN said in a serious tone.

"Whatever, I'm excited hunting these smoke men down!" Pitohui said in a sadistic tone.

"The scan is starting, Pito-san" LLENN said as she peeked on her scanning device.

They noticed that the smoke men have already gone out of the Urban section of the map.

"LLENN, these smoke boys are the creepiest squad that we have ever encountered." Fukaziroh joked.

"Yeah, let's not hope that these smoke men can have a tick on us." LLENN hoped.

And thus, the 5th Squad Jam Begins…

To be continued.
