This is the Seventh Chapter to the story Hook; Maggie Pan. Maggie's mother Moira was recovering from her little soiree last night as she looked to see how Charles was coping with the three days without water whilst Maggie runs a race with the Lost boy which then changes to a duel with the Lost boys.
The leader of the Lost Boys Thud Butt will then offer Maggie the chance to prove herself as a warrior.
Disclaimer: I don't own the characters of Hook but I do own some characters in the story, so enjoy.
Earlier that morning at The Pirate's camp.
The early morning had begun to be a little bright to Moira when she woke up still in the teal dress from her tipsy Soiree last night.
After singing her songs, she had a couple of drinks with the crew but she held back on the third, passing over her cup onto the next pirate at her side who drank it and went falling on his back much to Moira's amusement.
Knowing that one half of the crew were still passed out from last night, Moira went out of her tent.
With a few hiccups in her throat, Moira walked her way to one of the water barrels. She gave a couple of burps and took a few deep breathes before She took two drinks of water in her cupped hands not just because she wanted to get rid of her hiccups, but mainly she was thirsty. As soon as she felt the rest of her hiccups going away, Moira washed her face as she felt a hangover.
Breathing a little to gain her focus, she looked around her.
Seeing that the crew were still asleep Moira snuck across the camp towards Charles who still has his hands shackled around the tree.
When she approached Charles who suddenly woke up stiff from sleeping in his position, she could see clearly he was suffering in captivity. Charles noticed that Moira was wearing a ruffled Teal dress as he looked at her.
"I suppose that Captain Sephiran had been charitable to you Moira when he gave you that dress," Charles said.
"The Captain wanted me to wear the dress as I was to dine with him, otherwise he could've given me over to the crew, thankfully I played my part well. Anyways I wanted to say that I'm sorry for what happened to you, Charles." Moira replied.
Commodore Charles' eyes looked down as he thought on it before he spoke.
"It was going to happen at some point, I hope that they will get to my nephew Curly before he comes with his army."
"As much as I hoped they would, they should know that they had a traitor amongst their ranks." said Moira.
"Yes indeed, it was Sergeant Rayan Horace." Charles answered.
Moira raised her eyebrows as she asked him. "Who?"
"Sergeant Rayan Horace, he's a cousin to Lieutenant Theodore Austen and he served under my command, it seems Captain Sephiran has bought his loyalty and services whilst he was still among the ranks of the Navy.
"Then I will work on a way to escape tomorrow night if possible, the Captain plans to take the fortress anyway so it might be our one chance to escape." Moira stated to Charles who gave a weak nod to her.
"You need to go now before the pirates wake up from their sleep." Charles warned her nodding his head to the pirate guard who was asleep with a bottle at his side, Moira nodded to him.
She looked around at the tents and decided to play another act as a female Pirate.
Walking up to the water barrel she picked up a bucket and filled it with water, she brought it to where the guard was sleeping.
She was planning to hurl the water on the guard when another idea came into her mind. Looking over to Charles, she said.
"Goodbye Charles." She then took the Bucket over to the Captain's High tent.
When she came inside, she noticed that he was asleep in his tent. So she spoke. "Good Morning Captain Edward."
At the sound of her voice, Captain Sephiran woke, sitting himself up with a pistol in his hand when he saw Moira standing with a bucket in her hands. "Oh, it's you Miss Banning, what in heaven's name are you doing here? I could have shot you dead for waking me up."
"My apologies Sir, I was wondering if you would like a drink of water after your celebration last night." Moira replied, taking an empty cup she filled it with water from the bucket and brought it to the Captain.
Accepting the cup, the Captain was about to drink it but then hesitated holding the cup in his hand.
"Why don't you drink it first my dear." he said offering the cup back to Moira, who then took the cup and she spoke.
"If you think that it's poison I promise you that I didn't poison the water Captain."
"Then you must prove it to me by drinking the water." said Captain Sephiran. Seeing him wish her to do what he asks, Moira complied taking a small gulp of water from the cup. She handed it back to the captain who watched her as she stood.
After a minute of watching for any signs that show that she's ill, Captain Sephiran drew a grin in relief that she didn't feel ill at all.
So he closed his eyes as he took a sip of water from the cup which quenched his thirst. Opening his eyes he looked back at Moira who stood on the spot looking around the tent.
"Is there something else you would like to ask me?" he asked.
"Actually it is the matter of security on your prisoner." Moira replied, bringing up the subject of the guard sleeping with a bottle of rum near the Captive Commodore Charles. The Captain breathed a sigh of annoyance as he stood up from his bed.
"Hmm, your eyes do not miss a thing and you have seen some openings in my camp."
Realizing that he angered the Captain who was going to eat some of the leftovers from last night Moira looked down as she spoke.
"Captain If I have displeased you in any way then you may punish me as you wish." she said to Edward Sephiran who looked up to her.
"On the contrary, a woman's eye for spotting a flaw in a design can still be of use to me."
"Of course Captain." Moira said feeling relief of her fears.
"Please Moira, you can sit down if you'd like." Captain Sephiran said offering her a seat that was next to his own seat.
Wishing not to give offence to the Captain's offer, Moira went to the table and she sat down on the chair.
The Captain went to fix her a plate of food for her breakfast. He continued to speak. "And you may call me Edward, is there anything specific that you'd like?"
"The bread and fruits would suffice Edward." Moira answered pausing before she asked. "May I ask why would you offer me breakfast here?"
"Because as you spotted the flaw in my camp, Moira: you've advised me as part of your duty to your captain."
Moira watched him fill the plate with bread and fruits before he brought the plate to her.
"There's a Jug if water if you'd like to fill up your." Captain Sephiran explained to Moira who then stood up.
She took the jug from the table before she scooped the water from the bucket. Taking a cup she then brought it and the Jug to the table, she placed the cup down and filled it with water.
Once it was full she placed the jug close to the captain who sat down at his chair.
She soon took a green apple and ate small bites of it, enjoying the taste of her apple whilst the Captain waited for her to finish.
As soon as she was halfway through the apple, Moira drank some water before she spoke. "So what will you do with the flaws that I have advised you on Edward."
"Today I will deal with it decisively and in the afternoon I shall maybe name you and another pirate as the new guards to the prisoner Commodore Charles." Captain Sephiran replied to Moira who couldn't believe what he was saying.
"You want me to guard your mortal enemy Edward?" asked Moira.
Captain took a few grapes and ate each of them before he spoke.
"Of course Moira, you came to me seeking to join my crew as a pirate. As I welcomed you with open arms, you shared with me your story of the Commodore sending your daughter to the lost boys, may I ask was it to be their spy?"
Moira thought on her answer and she lied to him convincingly.
"Yes he sent her without my consent and when I did not hear from her, I realized that they had killed her."
"Ah, it's a hard thing to lose a child of your own. So I would like to see how you would do when guarding the common mortal enemy that we now share together. If my father was a king of a country, like my father before me I would trust you with the gravest of missions. So I want you to take guard duty on the prisoner whilst I work to take the fortress." Captain Sephiran instructed Moira who listened to him. He paused a moment as if thinking for a minute.
Moira took a bite out of one piece of her bread and ate it before she drank some water to wash it down whilst he thought and then he spoke. "For the first task on your initiation if you would so wish to become a pirate of my crew, then for me and for your daughter, I want you to kill him tomorrow night."
Upon hearing this request, Moira kept still as she became concerned that it would mean that she wouldn't get to leave home.
When Edward Sephiran turned his head to look at her face which was unsure. So he spoke on. "I know this must be a terrible thing I ask, especially from a strange woman but can you accept this mission and keep it private?"
Moira sat back on her chair as if thinking for a minute on how to convince him when she then decided to show him what he would want to be her gratitude.
Taking a sip of water from her cup, she placed the cup back on the table and pushed her chair back.
Standing up from the chair she came over to Edward Sephiran's side.
She pulled the seat back before she went to sit on his lap, placing her arms around him she leaned forward as he watched her.
"Miss Banning what are you..." He asked her when she planted a hard long kiss upon his mouth.
Withdrawing from kissing him, Moira looked him in the eye with a stern face, she answered. "When I get the chance the next day that you take over the fortress, I will kill both Charles Corven and any Lost boy who tries to free him." Captain Sephiran drew a grin at her answer.
"If you keep this up Miss Banning, then I would have to ask for your hand in marriage someday." Sephiran commented before taking her hand from his neck. Turning his head away from her, Sephiran planted a kiss on her palm.
As she watched him kiss her hand, her eyes knew that he was convinced of her act.
With that Moira stood herself up and returned to her seat at the table.
As soon as he took a drink of water, he spoke as Moira took a drink of water, possibly to wash out the taste of Sephiran's kiss from her mouth. "Now about the guard. After we have finished our breakfast, I will give you some new clothes. A pair of trousers, a shirt and a waistcoat will suffice. And you and I shall visit the drunk guard so I'll bring my sword and pistol along with three men with me to take hold of him." Moira then answered. "Of course Captain."
At the tree where the prisoner was sitting with his chains, Charles sat still in his place looking about he wondered if Moira was alright.
Has something happened to her? He wondered to himself.
It had only been half an hour or forty-five minutes since he last spoke to Moira.
But when he saw her, she was dressed not in a dress but in men's clothes as he approached with Captain Sephiran and three of his pirates. It was Barnaby Burrows, Mr Schmitt and Walker who walked behind him. As soon as the five approached, Captain Sephiran saw that the drunk guard was still sleeping.
So the Captain looked to Barnaby who held a bucket of water.
Nodding to him, Barnaby complied to the order. He walked up to his feet.
Once up close Barnaby hurled the water upon the sleeping pirate who jolted gasping from the cold touch of the water splashed upon his face and body. "Aaahhh! Damn you for breathin' ya slack-jawed weasel!" he screamed out but stopped when he saw his captain.
Standing himself at attention, the guard then spoke. "I'm sorry for speaking so ill Captain." he said.
But the Captain had no ears for apologies so he walked up to him, reaching for the key around his neck he tore it off.
Turning to Walker he spoke. "Mr Walker, you and Miss Banning are the new guards for our prisoner. Mr Schmitt and Mr Burrows, pick up the guard and take him along with us. We'll execute this man for stealing rum from the supply barrels."
"Aye sir." Burrows and Schmitt responded before they grabbed hold of the guard.
Captain Sephiran then turned around and walked forward to look for First mate Starkey, but he stopped and turned back to speak to all four of his pirates including Moira. "And the next man who objects my orders, I'll shoot him." he warned them all.
With that the Captain walked off, the two pirates then took the ex guard with them towards the front of the camp, leaving Moira with Mr Walker and Commodore Charles who was surprised with what happened there.
Seeing Moira now dressed as a buccaneer, he couldn't believe his own eyes.
But he knew that he couldn't speak to her so he withheld his words whilst Moira sat down, drawing a dagger from the sheath that came with the belt.
She looked down at the dagger to see her reflection in it when she look up to Charles who drew a grin and gave a nod saying his well done to her.
Once the Pirate Walker turned away from her, Moira nodded back acknowledging him. Taking up a piece of wood on the ground she started to do some carving to pass the time.
Back at the Lost Boys' Hideout.
On the same Late morning.
Since the start of the race, both Maggie and Don't Ask had gone through the snowy grounds and into the dry grounds throughout the pathway until Don't Ask tried to cheat by going a shorter path through some trees.
By the next hour of the day when Maggie had got to the finish line at the end of the path, she found that Don't Ask was already there.
As soon as she had stopped Maggie took the time to catch her breath as Don't Ask walked around her.
"Well Maggie lady, It seems that I won this race." he spoke bragging pridefully of his achievement.
"No you didn't, I didn't see you on the track of the path." Maggie said placing her hands on her hips.
"Maybe I was so fast you didn't notice me." Don't Ask teased coming up to her.
"Well at least I know one thing: you're such a cheater." Maggie said with an angry frown.
"No I'm not." Don't ask said denying any accusations. "Yes you are, and you're a real Jerk as well. Did you know that?" Maggie asked when the other lost boys had arrived to see Maggie calling Don't ask out for cheating since she didn't see him on the track.
"I'm not a jerk, what's a jerk?" Don't ask asked.
"A Jerk is a person who thinks only about himself instead of others around him. And you honestly believe that you're better than me?" Maggie said to Don't Ask who started pretending to be innocent but Maggie wasn't buying it.
"Well I am. I'm Don't Ask."
"That's not a name you idiot, that's just two words you say to people when they ask you a question you don't want to answer. What other name would you choose really, Huh?" Maggie argued out the lost boy who was losing ground.
"Well I am better, I am a lost boy." Don't Ask stated aloud to Maggie who returned fire.
"That's just a title. What's under that skin of yours?" Some of the lost boys were beginning to admire her spunky attitude towards Don't Ask who then answered. "Someone very special."
"You don't believe that, because if you did then you'd believe in fair play and you wouldn't take a short cut to win a race." Maggie stated in front of all the other Lost boys who were impressed with her tearing him down.
Feeling embarrassed at being defeated, Don't Ask challenged Maggie to a dual to prove the girl wrong.
When Don't Ask asked for two swords. He and Maggie stood waiting for a few minutes, little Too Small appeared then.
Carrying Pan's sword Too Small brought it to Maggie, she looked at him. "Thank you Tiny Tim." she said to him before she planted a kiss on his cheek which made his face flush as Maggie took up the sword from him.
The other boys laughed at the display.
Pretty soon Thud Butt and the lost boys were joined by other teenage lost boys who came to see the match.
Maggie and Don't ask stood apart on opposite sides facing each other. "Alright little girl, give it your best shot." Don't ask remarked.
"With pleasure lost boy." Maggie said, before saluting and taking her stance.
Once the two were ready to duel, Ace was the one to say the words En garde.
With the word given, Don't Ask and Maggie started duelling together. The lost boy used his sword skills of attack on Maggie but she was quick enough to parry and deflect the attacks before she thrust her tip on Don't Ask's shoulder.
Stepping back, they began again but Maggie was soon picking up his sword swings and using them against the lost boy before she won the second. Following the third round of swordplay, Maggie was already playing the lost boy like a cat playing a mouse.
As Don't ask tried to make a strike on her, she stepped to the side making a cut on his trousers which fell down.
With his trousers down showing his garments, Don't Ask realized that duelling with her was a big mistake.
But as Maggie was coming up to him with her sword raised, he cowered down at her fierce look. Expecting the worst Don't Ask raised his hands to shield himself from her strike but she didn't strike down.
Instead, she did something worse to embarrass him. As he had his head ducked down Maggie put the finger of her left hand in her mouth before taking it out.
Wetting one's finger with saliva she then inserted it into his left ear, giving him a wet willy prank which made him scream and jump about.
Seeing Don't Ask's reaction to the prank as he screamed and fell on his back, the Lost boys laughed at the display.
Whilst the other kids chanted Maggie's name aloud.
Maggie laughed a little before regaining composure to dry her finger.
Reaching out to take Don't Ask's hand, she spoke. "Sorry about the Wet Willy prank, but I wanted to get even with you for cheating."
Looking at her hand and seeing that she was apologizing to him, Don't Ask reached up and took her hand.
She helped him stand up, he looked at her with a small grin as the then spoke. "It was well played Maggie Pan."
"Thanks, Rocky." Maggie replied to Don't Ask who drew a look of confusion, so Maggie explained. "Its a name that I'm offering you Don't ask, like you're the cool Rocky Don't ask." Seeing that it makes sense, Don't ask thought about it.
"Hmm, it is cool and its intriguing." Don't ask said to himself before drawing a smile. "I shall take the name Rocky. Thanks for the name and I'm sorry I cheated in the race and for being a jerk as you called me."
"Oh Rocky, is that you realizing the error of your own ways." Maggie spoke sweetly toward the lost boy Don't ask, taking him by the jacket she pulled him to her as she leaned forward. She kissed him on the left side of his cheek.
The Lost boys chuckled and laughed at him whilst some went wooowooo.
Some of the lost boys were wiggling their fingers in front of their mouths as they woo wooed at Don't ask. But he took no notice at them. Feeling that kiss for the first time, the lost boy Don't Ask was left speechless at being kissed by a girl.
He just simply walked off holding his trousers up without saying a word as Maggie watched him before turning to the crowd of Lost Boys. "So who's next Boys, any of you want to take the challenge?" asked Maggie.
Some of the boys went silent as each of them was shy at duelling with a girl who had beaten Don't ask.
Thud Butt stood up to challenge her, stepping forward with a sword of his own.
When the challenge began after they each saluted with their swords, Thud Butt was careful at taking his time duelling with Maggie.
Whilst the two opponents fought in sword play, Maggie kept her eyes on Thud Butt's eyes which were sweet as Thud could see that her eyes were charming but then Thud won the first round on a trick.
As they started at a second round of swordplay, Maggie was quick at learning Thud's style of swordplay and she was able to find a way to beat him.
The sword fight last with Thud swinging strikes on Maggie who was quick enough to dodge them. Soon enough Thud Butt became exhausted at her fast movements that Andrew was starting to like her.
After almost a while Thud had surrendered.
"Stop, I surrender Maggie. you're so good. How did you learn how to beat me?" Thud asked.
Maggie giggled at the question before she spoke. "I used to play football with the girls in my school when I was back home."
"You play football with other girls?" asked Thud Butt.
Maggie nodded, leaving Thud Butt amazed.
Handing over the sword to Maggie, she looked to the other boys for a challenge until Andre beaten the next boy to the punch as he spoke. "I volunteer as challenger." Maggie looked at him. She frowned at him in suspicion as she then spoke.
"Why would you want to challenge me, do you think you can beat me?"
"Actually I did teach you my skills, but I also wanted to get even with you for poking me in the ribs and punching me in the face. Unless you're afraid to fight me in swordplay Magpie Maggie?" Andrew said in a remark of sarcasm.
"Oh, okay pretty boy. Challenge accepted." Maggie stated, hurling the sword over to Andrew who caught it.
Some of the Lost boys cheered him on as the others cheered on Maggie.
As soon as they stood facing each other, Maggie and Andrew saluted together and touched their swords together.
After a few seconds, the two engaged in sword play.
Using side strikes and thrusts, Maggie aimed to score a point.
Andrew parried and deflected before replying with a few of his strikes and thrusts which sent the two moving about the whole court.
The duel lasted for another minute until Andrew tripped Maggie sending her falling into a pile of mud in the corner face first.
Most of the Lost Boys laughed at what happened.
Accidentally getting some in her mouth she spat it out as the three Lost boys, Pockets, Too Small and Latchboy went forward to help her up. When she got up she looked at Andrew who looked back. "Well played Andrew."
"Maggie, are you okay?" Latch boy asked approaching her side as did the other two boys. Maggie wiped the mud off of her face as she spoke to them.
"Yuck, the mud tastes worse than it looks but I'll be fine."
"Okay, hey Pockets can you get us some water and cloths to clean her face?" Too Small asked Pockets who nodded.
The little black boy went off to bring some water and some cloths to clean her face. "Here Maggie, you can use this to wipe the dirt off." Latchboy said offering his jacket so she can clean her face. "Thank you Latchboy but I can't ruin your Jacket." Maggie said to Latch boy when Pockets came back, he was carrying some coloured cloths with a bowl of water.
"Here's the water." Pockets said giving it to Maggie, who took a sip from the bowl before she took one of the cloths from Pockets.
Putting it in the water she soaked it through and then she cleaned her dirty face.
After a minute of cleaning her face, she turned back to Andrew who waited for her. Grabbing her sword from the ground whilst latchboy, Pockets and Too Small stood back Maggie then readied herself for the second duel, saluting as Andrew did before touching sword.
Once they were ready, Maggie and Andrew started the duel. But only this time Maggie wasn't going to fall for another of his tricks,
instead, as they fought together Maggie aimed her strikes on Andrew's legs and she won a few points in the second round.
Andrew was starting to grow tired as he fought her again, but he duelled with the girl in front of him.
As the match went on for another minute, they moved across the middle until Maggie tripped him over, sending him falling on his back.
When he landed on the floor, Andrew laid flat with his eyes closed whilst the boys laughed at the display but also cheered for Maggie who had won the sword play game. But as she turned to look at Andrew, she noticed that he wasn't moving.
"Come on Andre, the game is over and I've beaten you fair and square." she said.
But Andrew didn't answer as he lay on the floor motionless, realizing that he might have hit his head hard Maggie became concerned for him.
The other boys stood up and crowded around his body, each wondering if he was dead whilst the others hoped that he was alive.
Maggie got down on her knees with the sword at her side.
"Andre, Andrew don't do this to me please. Speak to me, Say something to me please." Maggie said before she moved down to his chest to check for a heartbeat. But unbeknownst to her, Andrew opened one eyes looking at the lost boys faces before closing it when Maggie brought her face up to him and she spoke. "Come on Andrew, wake up and say something."
Suddenly when Maggie's face was close to him, Andrew's hands grabbed hold of Maggie's head and he pulled her towards his mouth.
Her screams were muffled by Andrew pressing his lips upon Maggie's lips.
Caught in surprise by Andrew's kiss, Maggie tried to get off him but He kissed her long and good before she pulled herself away, screaming out. "Ugh! Little scoundrel!" She shouted at him, mad with his deception she got herself up and kicked him in the ribs much to the Lost Boys' surprise. Even Thud Butt was shocked to see his friend kiss a girl in front of all the lost boys.
Maggie grabbed her sword and ran away from Andre as he sat up to apologize.
"Hey Maggie I'm sorry!" he said but she kept on running off from the court to be alone, furious at Andrew.
"Whoa, you are a clever boy aren't you Andre." said Ace who approached Andrew who stood himself up. Thud Butt approached him before he spoke.
"Hey Andre, did you just plan that?"
Andrew drew a grin before he answered Thud Butt. "Of course I planned it, I've been wanting to do that since I heard her sing."
"Hey Lost Boys Andre planned it. He knew what he was doing." Thud Butt announced it to the other boys who were impressed with Andrew. But as Andrew saw Maggie go off in anger, he realized that he made a mistake kissing her. So he decided to let her be until she was ready to come to him and listen to his apology and maybe earn her forgiveness.
Taking a walk from the other lost boys, he sought to take some time to himself so that he can figure out his growing feelings and think of a way to redeem himself in Maggie's eyes and maybe earn her love as well as anything else.
The Treehouse, the Lost Boys' Hideout.
As soon as she was far from the other boys, Maggie kept on walking until she saw a stairway.
Heading up the stairs, she was seeking to get up to a high spot in the trees.
She passed by the twins Sooner and Later who nodded to her in greetings. "Hey Maggie." Later said to Maggie, but she didn't respond to him. The other Twin Sooner asked her. "Are you okay?" Maggie turned to look at him before she answered.
"I just need to be alone, if you see that little weasel Andrew around don't tell him where I went or I will give you both something to remember me by." she said to them. The twins nodded crossing their hearts before she left them standing.
Soon after she got to one of the top trees Maggie found herself in the same place where Tinker Bell's clock house was standing and it looked empty.
Upon seeing this as a good quiet place to sit down and think for herself, Maggie went to the edge and sat herself down crossing her legs. She then took a look out at the view of the skies as she had mixed feelings of being impressed and being angered but she was letting her anger slowly diminish. It was sheer luck that she hadn't decided to beat the bones out of Andrew after what he did to her.
Tricking her so that he could kiss her like that. Who could blame her?
What he did to her in front of those Lost Boys was sneaky, rotten and low, but yet although she was plenty mad at him for his actions when she thought he was hurt, she couldn't blame him for wanting to kiss her especially since she was the only girl in Neverland.
Back home not another boy her age would have ever in a million years even for a million dollars have the guts to put the move on her, except Andrew did. The funny thing was she liked the kiss.
It felt sweet that he had kissed her long and good. After a short moment she started to sing the same song she sung when she was first in Neverland. When you're all alone Far away from home
There's a gift the angel sent When you're alone Everyday must end
But the night's our friend, Angels always send a star
When you're alone At night when I'm alone I lie awake and wonder Which of them belongs to me Which one I wonder? And any star I choose, Watches over me So I know I'm not alone When I'm here on my own.
As she sang her song, the lost boy twins Sooner and Later heard the song.
Recognizing the voice, they realized that it was Maggie who was singing, so the twin Sooner went off to tell the boys about Maggie's singing voice whilst Later sat down to listen to the song go on. As soon as she had finished her song, she felt a little better but she was still plenty mad at Andrew.
Sitting still for another hour or two, Maggie was enjoying the peace and quiet of the hours. She started to understand how her father wanted peace for himself when there was a visitor.
Hearing the wings flapping about behind her head Maggie turned to see Tinker Bell Flying out of her house, she was about to check on Thud Butt and the others when she found her sitting on the edge of her Tree-house floor.
So Tinker Bell flew to her shoulder and spoke to her. "Maggie are you alright?"
"No, I'm upset. Tinker bell. Please can I be alone?" Maggie asked turning away from her. But Tinker Bell wouldn't leave Maggie so she asked her. "Did Andrew do something to you? If he did then he probably didn't mean to hurt you or anything…"
Tinker Bell paused as Maggie then touched her own lips in thought.
Realizing that the daughter of her beloved Peter Pan had received her first kiss from Andrew, Tinker Bell began to understand that Maggie was feeling insecure at the moment. So she spoke to change the subject. "You should know that the fortress is now deserted, and the soldiers have been evacuated. So Charles' men will be able to meet Lieutenant Austen and his reinforcements to give them warning." Maggie turned to her drawing a small grin before she spoke.
"Thank you Tink, its good news you bring me."
"Well I'll leave you to your peace and quiet, maybe I could talk to Andrew about how wrong what it was he did?
Maggie nodded as she then looked out to the view, she then voiced her own thoughts.
"I'm starting to miss my Mom Tink, do you think she's okay?" Maggie asked looking at Tinker Bell who looked back at her and replied offering to help her. "If it makes you feel better I could fly off after I see Andrew. Maybe I could find out about your mother and Charles."
That made Maggie's grin a little brighter as she spoke. "Thank you Tink. I wish that you were bigger so I could give you a hug."
"When I get back I'll see what I can do for you." Tinker Bell said before she parted from Maggie, leaving her alone with a small grin on her face. She continued to sit down alone for a minute but then she wondered what Andrew was doing.
So she decided to go off to find him and talk to him about what he did. Taking one of the vines from the trees, she used it to slide down to the ground as the fairy flew down there to find Andrew as well.
She looked about the grounds of the Hideout to see Thud Butt and a few of the little boys playing a couple of games together but Andrew wasn't around with them so she kept on looking around the grounds. When she found Andrew, she noticed that he was checking his sword belt and a couple of daggers in their his sheaths.
It was as if he was planning to leave the Hideout, so she flew down to him.
Andrew was just getting his jacket on when a bright light came to his face, and spoke.
"Are you going to run away Andre?" ask a familiar voice that Andrew recognized.
Seeing Tinker Bell floating in front of him, he spoke. "No, I'm planning to go off to find Maggie's mother tomorrow and bring her back."
"Do you think after what you did to Maggie, that she's going to forgive you?" Tinker Bell asked Andrew.
As Maggie soon found her way to where Andrew was sitting, she suddenly heard him speak so she listened as he explained to the Fairy Tinker Bell. "Look Tinker-bell, Maggie's mother might be in danger, I can't say for sure but I just feel the need to find out."
Andrew paused a moment as Tinker-bell fled onto a tree branch and sat down to listen to him.
When he spoke again he spoke slow as if he was thinking of the words to describe how he was feeling.
"After tricking Maggie earlier on so I could kiss her, I saw the look on her face.
In that moment, I just felt bad about hurting her because I've been wanting to do that since she first sang her song.
If she wants her mother back then at least I'm showing that I am making a peace offering for my efforts. Because I began to feel something for her I never thought might be true. I've read different books of love and romance when I was with my father.
He made it like it was something to fight for and to believe in.
From what I know from the book my dad used to read me was that love is unconditional but it's so unpredictable that in fact, it gives me such a happy thought which makes me wish to fly. Have you ever felt that?" That explanation left Tinker Bell swinging her legs in the air in thought as she started to realise that what Andrew was feeling was the same feelings that the fairy felt with Peter Pan for so long and still feels even now: He might be in love with Maggie Banning.
After a silent minute, Tinker Bell looked up to Andrew and she spoke out.
"If you just wait until morning then I promise to wake you so that you can go and rescue Maggie's mother."
Having heard of what Andrew said about his feelings, Maggie was left standing feeling like an overjoyed lovestruck teenager.
Regaining her composure as she saw no other reason to stand any longer she decided to come out of her hiding place but act like she was still mad at him, stepping through the entryway when Andrew turned to see her.
He gasped in surprise to see her face. "Maggie, I didn't expect to see you here."
Maggie stood at the entryway looking at him with a stern look before she spoke. "I was only passing through because some of the little lost boys were making too much noise for me, but I still think that you're a scoundrel. Even a boy like you should know what scoundrels are like. I expected you to be better as you have received an education living with your father."
"Yes you're right I did receive an education which was not much but then I saw learning as a fun way to beat others in games, I was hoping to apologize for kissing you without your permission. So I'm sorry."
With her hard face starting to soften, Maggie replied to his apology. "Alright well I thank you for the apology, but you must know that you embarrassed me in front of those boys and I wanted it to be private and romantic."
"Oh, I didn't realize that it was so sacred to you." Andrew spoke as he started to act sincerely to Maggie whilst Tinker-bell decided to fly off to give the two some privacy. "Well you could be surprised with what you can learn from girls." said Maggie.
"Well I have no more games to play with the boys, so if this minute is a good time and you have nowhere else to go, I wish for us to talk together." said Andrew. Maggie stood on the spot, thinking with her hands fiddling about when she saw a branch to sit upon.
"How about we take a seat?" asked Maggie.
"Okay sure," Andrew replied before he and Maggie took a seat on the floor by the branch.
As soon as they sat down, Maggie suddenly got curious about how her dad became Peter Pan so she asked him.
"Can you tell me about the time when my dad was with the lost boys?" Andrew looked away as he felt that he might let her down so he spoke. "I'm afraid I wasn't here when your dad came to the lost boys, but I do know that Thud Butt was. He could tell you about the training your dad had been through and the name-calling game he threw on Rufio, leader of the Lost Boys Like calling him a Paramecium." On hearing that word Maggie drew a smile giggling at the word looking straight as she continued to grin at the thought of her father. "I think my dad's choice of words was what helped him win." Maggie replied.
Andrew nodded and spoke. "Your father sounds like a smart man, I almost wish I could meet him."
Maggie turned her head to Andrew when he complimented and she replied.
"Well if I get back to my home, I might tell him about you and how you trained me to fight and defend myself."
"I'd appreciate that." Andrew said to Maggie. After a few seconds of silence, Maggie decided to tease him about what he said about her.
"So is it true?" she asked eyeing Andrew who looked back at her when she continued. "About feeling bad about hurting me because you've been wanting to kiss me since I first sang my song to you." Andrew's face had suddenly become embarrassed when he realized that she heard him, he slid himself aside from her to face her. "You heard me?" he asked Maggie who drew a small grin laugh.
"Oh good grief." Andrew said to himself placing his head into his hands to hide his humiliated face.
Maggie stopped her giggling before she walked on her knees up to Andrew. She placed her hand on her shoulder whilst she spoke placing her hand on the side of his head to life it up so she can look at his face.
"Hey Andrew, there's nothing to be embarrassed about. I actually found it adorable how you spoke about getting my mom back to show that you wanted to make a peace offering, I didn't know that you'd go through such trouble just for me. No one's ever done that for me." Maggie said to Andrew who began to breath a sigh of relief, noticing that she was okay with what he said.
"Well it wasn't much but it was all I could say from my heart, its was like my chest could keep it in."
"Because you began to feel something for me that you never thought might be true." Maggie said to Andrew as she looked into her eyes, seeing the kind and gentle soul that was within him.
But she turned away as she wanted him to learn more.
"My mom used to sing me that song you heard, I used to love the sound of her voice every night."
"She must be such a wonderful woman to have as your mother." Andrew complimented, expressing his thoughts which made Maggie smile at him. She spoke on. "Yes, she read to use every night because she said that she loves us very much."
On hearing about her talk about her mother, Andrew began to feel a little down as he didn't have much of a mother's love.
"I didn't even know my mother that much. I only knew her from my father, who spoke of her and my brother Ronald. From what I learned about him was that he was good, but I would have hated him for teasing me."
"It must have been very painful to remember such sad memories." Maggie commented as she sat back on her knees and expressed her sympathy for him.
"When I first met my father, he didn't tell me straight away who he was. He told me that he was a commodore of his ship, spending some time away to enjoy the view. As we talked together, I started to feel safe with him.
I remember when we used to play games for an hour before I went back to the Lost boys' hide out, he told me how I looked so much like my mother because he didn't see much of the father who abandoned. As time went by I started to get so curious to know about who I was and were I came from. I chose to seek the council from the fairies." Andrew explained.
"Did they tell you anything?" Maggie asked.
"They told me about how my father had begged the fairies to save me and to protect me until he would come for me when I was ready to see him." Andrew answered. "What happened afterwards?" Maggie asked.
"After I learned the truth through their magic, I spent a couple of days to myself. I still played with the other lost boys but then I decided to do some soul searching. So saying goodbye to my friends I went on my own adventure, then I learned from a pirate who I fought against to save a soldier who was wounded, he mentioned the name Sephiran which meant something to me.
So I brought the soldier back to the fort, when I got there I spoke with the Commodore himself and learned that Sephiran was responsible for my mother's murder and for my father's pains. As painful as it was I realized that I was actually the commodore's long lost son, so I taught him how to be a kid again and he taught me to be smart and to fight well. Its about a short a story as I could get."
"Its still a nice story. Of course hearing that story from your stepmother Caitlin, it showed me how hopeful your dad was in finding you and he never gave up. I remember how my mom had struggled to keep our family together since my dad was a corporate lawyer who worked all the time and never even looked at me or my brother until we got kidnapped by Hook." Maggie said to him.
Looking at her cheerful face, Andrew began to draw a grin at her as he spoke.
"I'm sorry to hear about your bad times here. You know you can hit me in the face for tricking you earlier on."
Maggie thought on his offer but then she decided to lean forward to him. "Actually Its not what I was really thinking of doing." she said to him as she suddenly felt like something magnetic was puling her towards him. It was happening to Andrew as well as he looked into her eyes and closed them. Knowing what she now wanted to do and taking complete control of the moment, Maggie slowly moved in.
Closing her eyes she pressed her own lips upon Andrew's softly. They kissed softly before they parted with their foreheads touching.
It was a silent moment between them when Maggie spoke. "Parting is such sweet sorrow."
On hearing her quote Romeo and Juliet, Andrew drew a smile as if there was music in the air.
"Romeo and Juliet?" Andrew asked as he opened his eyes to look into hers. Maggie nodded to him asking. "You know Shakespeare?"
"My father used to read William Shakespeare plays to me for fun, but my two favourite ones was As you like it and Twelfth night because I laughed when he read the part when Malvolio wore yellow stockings and cross garters," Andrew said which gave Maggie a good laugh. They spent the good hour talking to each other when they heard Latchboy calling out for them.
Knowing that they're needed, Maggie looked at Andrew who gave a chuckle.
Maggie laughed with him before she spoke. "We better go otherwise Latchboy is going to see us and tell everyone."
Andrew chuckled at the word brag. "I think you might be right Maggie, and we won't have this moment alone." Standing himself up, he reached down to Maggie; she took his hand and stood up before they brushed themselves down.
Afterwards, Maggie took Andrew's hand and she led him out of their hiding place to go and play with the other Lost boys.
Outside the Pirates' Camp.
Having found the Pirates' camp, Tinker-bell had also found Charles who was chained to a tree like a prisoner.
Not only that Maggie's mother Moira was dressed as one of the pirates as well. As she realized that it would break her daughter's heart when she learns that her mother has become a pirate, she tried to think of a way to break it to her. But when she looked again she noticed something different about Moira as she kept looking up in the sky or around her.
It was as if she was looking for someone.
And there was no yelling between Charles and Moira except silent nods and signals.
Curious to know what they were talking about, Tinker-bell flew off to get a coconut to hit the other pirate in the head.
Down below at the camp Moira kept up her watch duty when she looked up to see a star that was flying about, she suddenly wondered about it so she turned to the pirate Walker and she spoke. "Walker I have to go find a bush to pee on. Can you watch the prisoner?"
Walker looked up at her and at the prisoner before he looked back at her and replied.
"Alright but you better be back soon, we don't want to upset the Captain do you hear Missy?"
"Of course, I hear you Walker." Moira responded before looking at Charles and she then walked off into the far off bush to get out of earshot. When she got far enough from anyone who might hear her, Moira looked around her to see if there was any fairies about.
At first she thought she was just imagining things and she was about to go back to the camp when all of a sudden a bright light flew in appearing in front of her which rung its bells and spoke,
"Hello there." It suddenly gave Moira a fright which made her yelp aloud.
She walked backwards before she fell screaming aloud and landed on the ground.
Pretty soon Walker came running into the woods to see what was going on when he found Moira on the floor.
The Pirate walker drew a smirk on his face as he saw her on the floor but all of a sudden, a fairy came flying down upon him.
"Ah!" He said as he ducked down to avoid the flying pixie. "Damn pixie devils." he said aloud as Tinker-bell flew down on the pirate again before it flew up and chopped a coconut down on his head.
When the Pirate fell down, Moira woke up to raise her head up to see the pixie land in front of her.
"It's okay Moira, I'm not here to hurt you. I'm sorry if I scared you like that but I needed to speak to you alone." Tinker-bell spoke to Moira as she sat herself up to look at the flying fairy. "Who are you?" Moira began to speak to the fairy.
"Someone who once knew your husband as Peter Pan for a long time; he and I were a team before he grew up." the little fairy replied to Moira who suddenly became shocked at the name of the fairy from her granny Wendy's stories and realised that all the stories were true. She looked about the area to see if anyone was listening. Seeing no one else, she spoke in a whisper so Tink can hear her.
"You're Tinker-Bell, the fairy from my grandma's stories. Did you know my husband?"
"Yes I did know him but in another life he was Peter Pan before he chose to stay with you Moira Darling." Tink replied to Moira, looking to the side before Moira spoke. "Listen Tinker Bell, I'm not a pirate as you see me as. I had to lie so I can stay in Captain Sephiran's circle. Sephiran's planning a take over of the fortress tomorrow night with the inside man's help. That's all I can tell."
"Alright but there's something I must tell you. Your daughter is mounting a rescue tomorrow morning, so stay safe." Tinker Bell said to Moira who nodded her thank you. "Thank you now go, and tell Maggie I love her still."
Tinker-bell nodded before she dashed off leaving a trail of fairy dust in the air. As the fairy flew away, Moira turned to see one of the pirates nearing the prisoner's tree. So she called the pirate to attention. "Starkey, Help! We've been attacked by pixie devils!" she shouted aloud to the pirate who came to see Walker unconscious.
Within a few minutes, a few more pirates arrived to see what happened.
Moira explained when she fainted at the sight of the pixies before she woke up to see Walker unconscious.
After a short while, they returned to the captain who had learned of the pixie who attacked them. Sephiran stood on the spot outside his tent as he looked up to the skies, he realised that the Fairy Tinker Bell must be still alive. Keeping this to himself he called Walker into his tent. As soon as the two men were inside, he persuaded him to keep this pixie devil to himself so as not to scare the men.
"Yes sir and there's another thing Captain." said Walker.
"I was hoping that whatever attachment you have for this Moira Banning, I suggest after we take the fortress you end it."
"Oh is it jealousy that I hear from you Mr Walker, because if it is then you are treading on deep waters with me." Captain Sephiran warned the Pirate Walker as he approached him. But Walker pushed on the subject. "Captain as I was turning away from her, I spotted her looking up at the skies as if looking for something. Also you know I was once a pirate under Captain Hook's crew once with my friend Bill Jukes who fought the girl Jane Darling when she came to Neverland, so its best for you to beware of Moira Banning sir."
"Thank you Mr Walker I'll think on your advisement, but for now I need to call for an assembly its time that we unveil my plan."
"Yes sir." Walker responded before heading out of the high tent. After a moment to himself, Captain Sephiran went off to call for an assembly to announce the next part of his plan to the Pirate Army of his camp.
Back at the Lost Boys' Hideout.
After rejoining Thud Butt, Ace and the other lost boys, Maggie and Andrew lied to them about what they were actually doing by saying they were just playing shadow puppets.
Although most of the lost boys believed them only Thud Butt and Ace could see through them, seeing that Andrew was holding Maggie's they realised that they were more than just friends so they left it as that.
When Maggie approached Thud Butt, she asked him. "Thud Butt, Andre told me about how you and the lost boys had put him through a workout to help him become peter pan again, is that true?" Thud Butt turned to Ace who nodded before Thud spoke.
"Yes that's true. We all still remember the days before he became Peter Pan on the second day, it was during your brother's baseball game with hook." Ace and Rocky Don't ask gave a chuckle at the memory of those days.
"Oh wow, well I could tell you as much about my mother and my brother if you promise to tell me more about my dad."
"Alright then, it started the day when he came to our hideout.." Thud Butt started telling the story to Maggie.
He detailed the jumping jacks and the exercised which made Maggie laugh as she and Andrew continued to listen to the story.
But whilst Thud Butt was telling the story to the two, Tootles was somewhere else on the edge of the island looking for a fairy so that he can gain the ability to fly off to the Indian encampment.
He was almost thinking that it was hopeless when a fairy guide had appeared before him. The fairy handed him a handful of fairy dust before it flew back into the woods, leaving Tootles to use his fairy dust.
Sprinkling a little fairy dust upon his head he started to float off the floor as his thoughts were of happiness. Once he was ready he flew off into the skies heading towards the Indian territory on the West of Neverland.
As he flew off from the Hideout, only Latchboy was the only one to spot him leave.
He was left wondering what he was up to, so he turned to head back to see Thud Butt. By the time he got to where the other Lost Boys were sitting, Thud Butt was just finishing his story to Maggie who smiled and laughed at the part when Rufio caused his trousers to fall.
When Andrew saw her laugh, he started to like it as he looked at her. Regaining composure Maggie spoke.
"Well its a good story, I'm glad that Dad got to see Jack play Baseball before realizing what he needed to do."
"Well it was all I know of that day before the war, so now its your turn Maggie, can you tell me about your mom and brother?"
"Of course. My mom's name is Moira Darling the granddaughter of the real Wendy Darling, who came to Neverland with my dad." Maggie said beginning the story.
As Maggie spoke about her mom who was beautiful woman, Andrew looked upon Maggie as he soon began to like the way she spoke about her brother who was a Baseball player. The more she spoke about her brother and the world that she came from, the more Andrew wished that he could go along with her but he knew that he couldn't.
So he stood up from his spot and walked away from the grounds.
When Maggie noticed that Andrew walk off from the crowds, she stopped her story.
"I'm sorry boys but I must stop there, how about you guys get the Never feast ready and we'll bring soda into the feast so we can play a burping contest." The boys suddenly cheered for the game as did Pockets and Tiny Tim, but Latchboy came up to Thud Butt and whispered into his ear whilst Maggie went off to speak to Andrew and Ace followed after her.
After a short walk at about a good distance from the others, Andrew stood alone as he wanted to think on things as he stood. He started to feel a little upset that Maggie was going to leave for her home in America whilst he remained in Neverland.
It was a short three minutes of peace when Maggie and Ace had caught up.
Maggie was the first to speak asking him. "What's wrong Andrew?"
Andrew looked up thinking before he started to speak.
"I was thinking about after the war is over, once you've finished here then you and your mother will have to go back."
Realizing that he was right, Maggie's eyes looked down in sadness that the time for going home would be near after this war is over and they had defeated the pirates keeping them from taking over Neverland and its magic.
"Well maybe you could come along with me and maybe live with us?" Maggie suggested to Andrew who then looked at her.
"Come with you to your world? Oh I would if I'd like to but I can't leave my father here and if the fort had no leader then the crew and the people here would have nothing at all." Andrew explained to Maggie who looked down in sadness, she thought about the moments here in Neverland and she spoke.
"Then we could just make the best of things, and if your dad saw the two of us he might consider something."
"So you're planning to leave us and forget about us." Ace spoke as he appeared, coming forward to the two who turned to him. Maggie turned to Andrew before she turned back to face Ace and she walked forward. "I wish I could stay here Ace but there's a dad and a brother who is waiting for me and my mom to come back. Besides, I could never forget the good times that happened these past two days and what started to be an adventure to me. This might make a good story to tell someday to others who love Peter pan and Neverland." Looking at her positive look, Ace began to draw a grin for her kindness.
When Maggie took Ace's hand in her own she then made her promise.
"I promise that I would never forget you or the other boys, and I'll tell my dad that you all said hello and that you miss him." Ace began to chuckle being so glad to hear her promise to remember the lost boys and Neverland.
Later that evening at the Never-Feast table.
After that moment alone, the three friends Maggie and Andrew, and Ace had returned to the lost boys who learned that Tootles had flown off from the hideout. Each of them guessed that he went to get help or something.
So deciding to move on with their time, Maggie and Andrew did some sword training with Ace, Rocky Don't Ask, and Thud Butt who put up such a fight together as they played it out. During the training with the older Lost boys Maggie was getting to be good in her sword skill. She even beaten a few of the teenager Lost boys as well as Thud Butt himself until she had to challenge Andrew again.
But only as they clanged their swords together and held in a cross blade between them Andrew decided to prank her with the wet willy.
She screamed and laughed at that before chasing him along to the wall where the hook and pirate face stood.
It wasn't until Maggie caught Andrew and pinned him down, kissing him in the mouth right in front of the lost boys who were left in shock at what transpired. "Got you there little crow." she said, with a crooked smile on her face and then she turned to the boys.
"So who's up for the Never feast?" she asked.
The Lost boys cheered on as Andrew got himself up and walked up to Maggie's side, she turned her head to look at Andrew.
He held the sword for her to take, she looked at the sword and brought her eyes to him before she took the sword.
"I guess it makes us even now." Andrew admitted to Maggie then nodded to him.
"Yes we are even, just don't to the wet willy to me again though." she asked.
Andrew chuckled. "It was a one-time thing which won't happen again." he said wrapping his arm around her.
She wrapped her arm around his back and she spoke.
"Come on, I want to see if you're any good at Burping."
The two of them laughed aloud before they walked on to the table which was being set.
During their Never-feast, Maggie had described the soda to all of the Lost boys who used their imagination. Within a minute into their supper, they each started feeling the fizziness in each of their drinks and then they each started burping aloud which became a fun contest.
Even Tinker-bell took part but lost to Ace who was proclaimed the winner of the contest. Maggie wanted to be fair to Ace so she allowed him to win before she began to burp the alphabet to them as a reward.
Hearing her burping the alphabet made some of the little lost boys laugh aloud at the fun and they soon joined in on the game.
After some time, Thud Butt spoke calling for silence and he made an announcement addressing all boys. "Lost Boys, today has been such a fun day for us all and pretty soon we will be preparing for war against the pirates whilst aiding the grown-up known as the Royal Navy soldiers of Fort; Fairfax. So in honour of her unbelievable skills at playing games and well-picked training as well as her good storytelling, I would like to proclaim our honoured guest Maggie Banning a Lost Girl."
All the lost boys gave a loud cheer to Maggie as she looked around at the boys showering her with praise before she stood up and then went over to Thud Butt who got out of his seat and stood in front. Maggie went down on one knee and gave her sword to Thud Butt.
Taking the sword, he slowly laid the blunt side on her right shoulder and the left shoulder, knighting her. "Since the very first Lost Girl in Neverland was Jane Darling. I hereby name you Maggie Pan, the second Lost Girl of Neverland. Rise up Maggie and take this sword as your own."
Reaching up to take the sword, Maggie stood up on her feet.
With a smile on her face, she howled aloud like a wolf to the skies.
The other lost boys crowed aloud along with Maggie, she bowed to Thud Butt and he bowed back as did Andrew.
As he liked her howling, Andrew then gave a loud crow drawing his own sword as the boys celebrated aloud. Raising his sword to the sky Andrew crowed out with Maggie who raised her sword up as well.
The boys around her giving celebration for the night of her christening.
Later that night.
After the celebration had calmed, Maggie and Andrew went up to Tinker Bell's house. There they found that she had grown to a big size and she was in the same dress as she was when Peter came to visit her.
Turning around to see the two, she drew a grin as she spoke.
"I was hoping that you two might come."
"Tinker Bell, you've grown so big and you're so beautiful." Maggie said approaching her. Without a moment's pause, Maggie went forward and hugged her waist.
Tinker-bell placed her hands on her back hugging her for a short before she withdrew to look at Maggie, she then spoke.
"There were times I wish I had a daughter like you."
Maggie smiled at her compliment and then replied.
"I'm sure my mom would have appreciated that compliment."
"Speaking of your mother, I found that she is fine but is playing both sides with the pirates. I think it best that you go and rescue her soon because I think she might be in danger and so is Charles."
The mention of his father caught Andrew's attention.
"What, is he still alive and well?"
Tinker-Bell was about to answer when someone answered behind her. "He is but he's been captured." said a strange female voice.
Just then two ghosts had appeared in front of the three, who were shocked to see them. But only Maggie's shock turned into amazement as she recognized the ghost of grandma Jane Darling who resembled her mother Wendy.
"Granny Jane?" Maggie asked.
The young ghost girl smiled replying. "Hello Maggie, I hope its alright that I come. My mom would have came but she had to catch up with John and Michael and her husband Edward. She says her hello by the ways."
"Thank you Granny." Maggie replied to Jane who looked up at Tinker-Bell.
"Hello Tinker-bell, its been a long time since I last saw you. And I see that you two ladies have a boy here." Jane said when she looked over to Andrew who approached and spoke introducing himself. "I am Andrew, Andrew Corven. At your service."
"Of course Andrew Corven, I knew who you were." Jane said to Andrew who then asked. "You knew me, how?"
With a crooked smile on her face, the Ghost Jane answered. "Let's just say your mother's ghost appeared to me as an angel on my deathbed. She told me you were a strong and bright, resourceful just like her, and she was right." Jane spoke as if she knew her.
Andrew chuckled being glad to hear those kind words as he smiled and spoke. "I'm glad that you met my mom, Jane Darling."
"Of course she called her the best first Lost Girl in Neverland for saving Peter Pan and Tinker Bell too." answered the other ghost who turned out to be the teenage Lost Boy leader Rufio who stepped forward, Jane turned her head to look at him.
She drew a crooked smile at him as he approached her side.
"We just wanted to come here to congratulate Maggie on her achievement, and I'm sure that your family is very proud of you." said Jane who looked at Maggie when Rufio came to her with a crooked smile on his face. "Congrats kiddo, you look great as the new Pan. My last words to your dad was that I wish I had a father like him." he said to her.
Maggie giggled as she looked at his face, "Thank you Rufio, and I'm sorry that you died in my dad's arms but you saved my brother from Hook's influence and my mom would be in your debt if she were to see you."
"I'm not sure if it would happen anytime, but what will happen now is another matter entirely. Is that right Tinker-bell?" Rufio asked looking over to Tinker Bell who then nodded before she spoke.
"Yes I agree, so this will have to be a short farewell. There is much to be done."
"Okay Tink, and Rufio you'll always be in our hearts as will grandma Jane." Maggie said to the two ghosts.
Andrew said his goodbyes as well before he stepped back with Maggie and the two then turned whilst the ghosts and the Fairy began to glow bright and then the ghosts vanished. Tinker Bell just shrunk back to her own size.
She followed the two down to the bottom where the two began to gather their gear for the night battle.
After an hour of preparing as the night was going dark, Maggie had her sword strapped to her waist as she was ready for battle.
With his sword and daggers packed in their sheaths, Andrew was also ready to go when Tinker Bell came to them.
"If you two are going to leave, you're going to need some pixie dust."
"Tink please make us glow." Maggie asked Tinker Bell who then threw some pixie dust on Andrew and Maggie.
As soon as Andrew thought of Maggie, and Maggie thought of him and her mom, the two were floating off the floor.
Looking up at Tinker Bell Maggie spoke. "Thank you."
Tinker Bell nodded to them when Ace and Rocky Don't Ask appeared, coming out with their swords as well.
"Maggie if you're going, then you're going to need some help." said Rocky.
"And we would like to join you." Ace said to Maggie, placing his fist on his chest as if pledging his service to her.
Maggie nodded to the two lost boys. Turning back to Tinker Bell, she nodded to her. The fairy then sprinkled each of them with pixie dust as they thought of some happy things in life. With their gratitude to Tinker Bell, the four children flew from the hideout, flying off to the Pirate camp.
Thud Butt watched them go with a smile as he would soon be rallying the others into groups to go out and fight the Pirates.
That's the end of Chapter Seven, so I'll be working on Chapter eight where Captain Sephiran will be confronting Moira Banning before an attack comes upon the Pirates' camp and causes a battle to ensue. So stay tuned.
