Only 90 days after uploading did I upload again. Surprise! Haha. Actually, I had this chapter since like last Year, New Years, but I just finished the ending. It may seem a little rushed. Sorry. I'm almost done with the story. So, hopefully I can upload quickly.

I think this one is an easy read, but lots of action.

"Lost"- Frank Ocean

Letter 8

Eggman attacked at the beginning of the month. Today at dark after what seemed forever of hiding, Eggman makes his strike at the kingdom of Mobotropolis for their three chaos Emeralds! I want you to be there the morning of. Protect those chaos Emeralds. You have Alliances. Ask for them. Everyone plays a part!

The beginning of a new day, and Sonic was up by dawn. He hadn't slept all night. He had stared straight across the plains from the grass that he sat on.

He lowered the letter from his hand.

He couldn't stop thinking about Amy. He hadn't heard from her in a while since that day and didn't understand the sudden change in features. The letters had missed certain days and then he got a letter that stated him and Amy meeting. But it never happened.

Something was wrong, but he didn't know what further actions to take. The letter this morning didn't mention her for the day.

He had walked down the busy road that led to the castle.

He was going to meet the King.

The guards led him through the castle walls and Sonic walked in head held high and he looked confident which made the guards look up at him in awe. He looked serious to others, but Sonic mulled about Amy and her whereabouts.

The King stood humbly on the top of the pillars where his throne was and Sonic's eyes met with his.

"Sonic" King Elias began, "Always a pleasure to see you,"

Sonic smiled at King Elias, a little distracted, but still nodded at him. "Sir,"

Elias walked down the steps to greet Sonic. He extended his hand outward and grabbed his firmly into a shake.

"I wasn't expecting you so I'm a little unguarded. What brings you here?" Elias asked.

"I'm sorry I came unannounced. I came for your help." He spoke eloquently, releasing his hand.

Elias' smile slowly vanished into a more serious look. "M-My Help-Anything! What happened?!"

Sonic sighed, "Amy's missing and I believe it has to do with Eggman."

"Amy's gone missing?" Elias spoke slowly in disbelief.

"It's been two days and Eggman's on the attack across town. I need your team's help to find her," He said.

Elias covered his rough cough and took a step back. "My sister isn't too pleased with you,"

Sonic sweat a drop and scratched his head. "I know." But then he turned serious. "But please allow me to talk to her. I need your team's help. Tails, Knuckles and I need your help."

Elias sighed at how calm yet persuasive Sonic was. He knew Sonic cared about his friends and he would go at any length for anyone. Elias stepped to the side with a gesture of his hand to the right where there was a hallway.

"They're in HQ right now having a meeting exactly on Eggman's attacks."

"Thanks," Sonic smiled at him and sped off into the hallway. Elias looked uneasy at the trail of blue streak he left behind. He hoped everything works out.

Sonic opened the door to HQ and entered the baby blue room. And there he saw them. His old friends Sally, Bunnie, Antoine and Rotor. The moment Sonic walked into the room it became silent with green eyes piercing straight at him. He knew who that was. Sally was still upset he'd forgotten so many dates with her in the past.

But Sonic couldn't help it. He was free and always saving the day. He never meant to hurt her feelings.

"Good Mornin' Suga!" Bunnie gaily shouted unaware of the little tension between Sonic and Sally.

"Bunnie!" Sonic replied back with the same enthusiasm. "It's been some time,"

"Som time is a understatement! Where ya been!?" She went up to him and gave him a big hug.

"You know, always something going on in town. Duty calls often!" Sonic winked at her. Rotor and Antoine gave Sonic their 'hellos' and Sally just stared at him without making a sound.

When Sonic turned to face her Sally turned her head back at the map they were looking at and cleared her throat. "We were having an important meeting," She muttered.

"I know," Sonic said, his voice serious now. "It's about Eggman, right? I came here for that too,"

Now everyone's attention was full on Sonic.

"You can't just barge in here saying that!" Sally claimed.

He approached the table where they had planners and maps and chess pieces on them. Sonic closed his eyes for a moment before reopening them and said, "Eggman's on his way to Mobotropolis right now to steal the kingdom's chaos emeralds and what's worst, Amy's gone missing,"

Sally and Bunnie both raised their eyebrows. "Amy's gone missing?"

"I'm not entirely sure, but I think Eggman has something to do with it. I need everyone's help on protecting these chaos Emeralds and Sally," He looked at her dead in the eye, "I need your help finding Amy,"

"Zhis is serious!" Antoine turned to Sally in horror.

"Suga'," Bunnie murmured to Sally.

"Wait! But how would you know this much information! How do you know Eggman is coming to the castle when I just got reports that he was in the other town?" Sally questioned Sonic.

Sonic averted his eyes. "Call it a hunch,"

Sally knew Sonic. She knew that everything he spoke with such clarity and management he wasn't kidding around. She knew that much. He knew exactly what he was doing and almost 100 percent of the time he wasn't wrong. Sonic had a plan, and it was to stop Eggman.

It seemed very confusing to her and she was frustrated with him, but Amy was their friend and all of Mobotropolis was in trouble. She had to leave that aside for now.

"What do you want us to do?"

Cream, Cheese and Shadow walked down the forest route in silent. Cream was busy reading the letter over and over again and Shadow walked ahead of the two. He peaked over his shoulder to see a concerned Cream. Cheese also looked fazed. He looked away and sighed.

"What was supposed to happened?" He asked.

"Huh?" Cream looked up.

"With Amy. What was written for you?"

"Oh. My letter says I should give Amy a call. But she won't answer and when I went to her house, she wasn't there." Cream said. She folded the letter and put it back in the envelope.

"And what makes you so sure? She could be having fun with Sonic right now." He said almost confidently.

"My letter informed me to be 'the help'. I guess my future self is trying to help things from staying the same. If she was with Sonic she would've called back and be happily telling me that she was with him," She claimed and had a point so Shadow cleared his throat and said no more.

They stopped at the edge of a cliff, where the road finished. Looking down, Cream saw a big large ship hidden with the large branches of trees around. She gasped and Cheese appeared behind her.

"Chao!"

"Yes, Cheese. That's Eggman's ship." She muttered, her voice trembling.

Shadow looked over at Cream. "Are you sure you want to go through with this?"

"If it's for Amy," She said with a little bit more determination. She looked over at Cheese who nodded its head and held tightly on to Cream's shoulder. Cream took a breath and with a hint of sorrow in her tone spoke, "I just wish to save her,"

"I'll let everyone know." He advised her.

Cream gave him a small smile and said, "Thank you for helping us, Shadow. You truly do care,"

Cream jumped off the cliff and used her ears to flap down to the ship. Shadow watched Cream disappear below. Shadow's eyes narrowed.

... ...

Eggman appeared before a figure below him. A pink hedgehog who stared menacing up at him. Eggman grinned down while he sat on his Egg Mobile.

"What brings you here to my layer?" He asked innocently, not hiding away the sneer in his voice.

Amy rolled her eyes to the side and then her eyes shot back at him, aggressively saying, "Finding your stupid layers are usually in plain sight. I'm surprised this one wasn't so easy. What are you up to!"

"Hehe," he chuckled, "Everything bad of course!"

"Well, I want you to stop it!" Amy demanded.

"Stop it! But I'm just getting started"

He moved forward, but Amy didn't flinch. She stood her ground, facing him head on. Eggman stopped a few feet away from her and added, "I wonder the type of look Sonic will have when he finds out I use you as bait! And end him once and for all!"

Eggman cackled as Amy magically pulled out her hammer and he stopped eruptively. She placed once foot forward and clenched her teeth. "Well, my birthday is soon and I don't want you messing it up! I want to spend time with everyone and if I have to beat you to a pulp to get it, I will!"

Amy jumped up ready to pound him, but Eggman's evil grin came back on and he pushed a button on his hover ship at her. She froze. The laser shot out and surrounded her body. She gasped as it stopped her from moving and kept her in the air. Eggman approached her and this time was inches away from her face. She looked terrified at him. She couldn't move. Her body, her legs. She couldn't stop him. 'Sonic'.

"You were foolish to come here alone."

"She didn't come alone!"

Amy and Eggman turned to their side to find a small bunny standing. Cream looked from Amy to Eggman. He had Amy in an airlock with his new invention. Cheese appeared from above her chanting. Eggman backed away laughing. "What is this? Cream!?"

"Leave Amy alone!"

Eggman couldn't believe what he was seeing. One lone bunny thinks that she could stop him. He was a little confused but released Amy. She fell on the floor with a loud 'thud'. Amy groaned. Cream covered her mouth in shock.

"Amy!" Cream gasped.

"Well, it won't hurt to have two baits!" Eggman shrugged and was about to press another button when something suddenly smacked his egg mobile. Eggman went off to the side a little as Amy glared at Eggman. She held her hammer furiously. She was done tired of hearing Eggman speaking and causing trouble. Cream ran over to Amy.

"Amy!" Cream jumped and hugged Amy. Amy weakly smiled at her friend who came to find her.

"I'm okay Cream. I am!"

"We are so worried about you Amy," Cream cried. "Where have you been Amy?"

Amy's ears dropped slightly. "I was…"

"I've been so worried. When you never came! Sonic especially. He's been looking for you!" Cream hugged her tighter and Amy's eyes widened. Sonic? Was looking for her? But..but…

Eggman aimed at Amy and fired.

Sonic and his friends approached the cliff where Shadow was left in wait for Cream. Once he contacted Sonic his located, he disappeared. He was not from this world and didn't want everyone to know of his existence. Sonic looked down at the ship and then at his watch. The red dot was beeping there. Sonic glared down at the ship. Amy was down there. And so was Cream.

"You okay," Sally asked him, more serious than emotional. Sonic was worried. He was worried for his friends, but he was hiding something. And he wasn't telling anyone.

Sonic nodded at her and turned to his friends. This was not the time to fail. They needed to save Amy.

"Alright Team," He began looking at all his friends.

You have Alliances….Everyone plays a part!

He trusted his friends. But he never thought that he may have needed their help for this. He thought that he alone could save Amy. He didn't understand why she would go to Eggman. He thought he changed everything, but Amy was still so keen on stopping Eggman alone.

"Let's go save Amy,"

Yay!
