"So Hailey how long have you lived around here?"
Hailey gently pushed the stroller with her one-month-old daughter Emerson inside back in forth as she sat on the bench with the other two moms. "About three months, we moved not to long ago because we needed a bigger place when we realized we were having Emmy."
"You'll love the neighborhood." One of the mom's, Jane, said to Hailey. "Lot of families around here."
The other mom Lydia then nudged Jane. "And here comes a recent improvement to the neighborhood, the Hot Dad is back." Lydia said.
"There's this Dad that Lydia is completely in love with." Jane explained. "He's gorgeous and his little boy is super adorable."
"Can you blame me? A hot Dad that is super involved with his kid? Lord knows the things I would do to him. Just wish it were warm enough that he didn't have gloves on so I could see if there's a wedding ring or not. I told my daughter to go play with his son but she is obviously not listening."
"Well your kid is also three they are not exactly the best listeners." Jane commented.
Hailey looked over to where the other moms were looking. She could understand the ogling that was going on. "I wonder why he has two cups of coffee in his hand." Jane commented.
"If he starts walking this way I could finally die happy." Lydia said. "Oh shit he is."
Once he was closer Hailey made eye contact with the Hot Dad. "Hey Babe," She called out. "How was breakfast with your brother?"
Jay handed one of the coffee cups to Hailey and leaned down to give her a kiss. "Hey Hails, It was good. Will says hi and has a present for Emmy from Maggie he just forgot it at home. How's Danny doing?"
"I think he's enjoying himself." Hailey said watching their son slide down the short slide. "Also the present is probably diapers. I was joking with her that second time moms all they want are diapers and wipes."
"And how is my Emmy girl? Are we having fun on our first trip to the park with Mommy?" Jay cooed at Emmy. "Oh you fell asleep."
"Daddy." Danny came running over from where he was playing. Jay scooped the two-year-old up into his arms. Danny giggled and then waved at his baby sister. "Hi Sissy." He then switched his focus back to Jay. "Daddy push swings?"
"You want to get pushed on the swings? Ok buddy let's go." Jay placed Danny on the ground "Lead the way buddy. Hails you coming?"
"Right behind you." Hailey said as she got up and waited until Jay and Danny had a little bit of distance from the bench. "I was on bed rest the last month of my pregnancy and it's been too cold to take a newborn out that's why I haven't been out here with my husband and son before today. Nice to meet you guys."
Hailey pushed the stroller towards the swings as Jay slipped Danny into the bucket swing. Danny started happily kicking his legs as Jay pushed him.
Later that night after they put Danny to bed Hailey showered and climbed into her bed.
"Somebody passed right out after her last bottle." Jay said walking into the bedroom with Emmy in his arms, he placed Emmy in the bassinet and then climbed into bed next to Hailey. "So I take it you did not make new mommy friends at the playground today."
"That would be correct."
"Just didn't click?"
"The one in the purple jacket basically wants to rip your clothes off right there by the jungle gym."
"Yeah no thanks." Jay responded as he pulled Hailey into a hug. "You are the only one I want ripping my clothes off… once the doctor clears you."
"Nice." Hailey giggled. "Good night Jay."
"Night Hails."
