Naruto Of The Uchiha

Team Kyū

"Well, we're off. He has to go meet his squad in a few hours." With that Wolf disappeared with Naruto.

Wolf took Naruto to the ANBU's infirmary to help his healing. Despite the Kyubi's healing factor, the damage he sustained from the explosion of the red lightning was severe. It would be a few hours before he was back to 100%. He'd be in operating condition which for him is at minimum 30% but that would still let him fight at a strong level. So in the end he only needed an hour tops to get back to doing whatever he pleased in a sense.

Now that Naruto learned a true flaw to his lightning attacks, he'd stop at nothing to learn to make it not happen again. For one, it was painful, second, if he could get the two elements to somehow be in balance then the attacks that combine the two would be devastating. That, and he wouldn't be blown up everytime he does his techniques.

The issue though seemed that Fire and Lightning just didn't want to mix. Then again, Lightning didn't mix with any element. Fire was complimented greatly by Wind, and Water and Earth could mix with just about any. Lightning just destroys earth, gets cut and displaced by Wind, spreads uncontrollably through Water, and blows up in Fire. The only "balance" was water but then again, if it is uncontrolled, is it really balance?

There seemed to be no complimentary element to Lightning. It truly was an element of devastation that served almost entirely offensive capability with hardly any defensive. On the flipside, Earth was seen as mainly defensive. Fire, Water, and Wind all had aspects that worked in both ways. Regardless of all that, he was determined to find a way to combine Lightning with Fire.

"Well, Naruto. That last one put quite the number on you. You should be in working condition in an hour. Anything you want to ask?"

"Commander, there's a lot that I'm sure you'd never say. So I guess, in the end, what can you tell me of my squad?"

"Hmm. Well you're going to be Captain of squad Kyū-"

"Is that supposed to be a joke?"

"Come on Naruto. I gave you the Fox mask, let me finish this with having you be 9."

"Since when were you playful Commander? You always were serious and passive. Just like..."

"Well I was always told I was too serious." Wolf looked over at Naruto. "Just trying something out. Other than that, you already know that your friend, Hinto will be on your squad. The others, we were planning on giving you new recruits. Then an idea came and we thought about giving you those ones you led in Kiri. They had done well with you and based on the mission report, they trust you."

"Right, and if I got the recruits, their trust may not be the same since they'll probably have formed opinions on me..."

Wolf nodded and couldn't help but feel bad for the kid. All he's ever done was work to the benefit of the village and yet, no one saw him as him, only the Kyubi.

"It's your choice Naruto. Normally I would just make the decision and it'd be final. With this however, the whole squad would be affected and if they act rash, it can lead to the deaths of everyone."

Naruto gave a nod and contemplated the choice. On one hand, he'd be around friends and they'd definitely work well together. But the issue to that is, even if they train to not act on personal feeling, their friendship may cause them to act against the greater good and lead to action that would lead to failure and death of the squad. Say as someone is captured or injured, even though no one wants to leave someone behind, weighed between the life of the friend, vs the need of the village, the decision becomes harder.

All ANBU know that capture means death, and that they'd sadly be left behind in order to complete the mission. Their missions aren't like ordinary shinobi missions and they don't get the luxury of fighting to bring everyone home. If something goes wrong, the Op is either immediately abandoned and they retreat, or they they continue on based on the circumstances.

Having a squad of friends means that they would hesitate to leave or to continue on. That would result in mission failure or death. Now, every squad ends up forming a bond so in a way it becomes a worry in the end, however it's different since when you come together without knowing one another, there's the mutual understanding that if something goes wrong, the mission must continue. When you're friends prior, that clouds judgment. Suddenly trying to decide who becomes decoy is harder, deciding on who gets to make it home is harder.

However if he chooses the squad of recruits, the issue becomes on if they resent him for the Kyubi. If so, then they may try screwing him over in a mission...atleast he'd have Hinto, they understand that if something goes wrong, the village and mission comes first. He didn't have to worry about Hinto, he could take care of himself, afterall he's one of the few that can put up a fight against him.

It would be a harder path but in the end, if he couldn't win over his squad...how could he ever win over the village? It's a risk, but he and Hinto aren't pushovers. This had to be the way, otherwise he could never truly feel that he could change the opinions of others.

"I'll take the recruits. Hinto I won't need to worry about. He can take care of himself and is one of the few that can put fight against me. I'll have to try to earn their trust, but I'm sure I can...afterall, if I can't win the trust of 3, how could I ever get the trust of the village?"

Wolf smiled under his mask. "Very well Naruto. You'll be given recruits."

"Is there anything I can know as of now?"

"Well...they are nowhere near as good as your class was. Your class really set history as far as the talent you all possessed. There were more graduates this time though, however as I said, no one set any record breaking performances or anything out of the ordinary too much...then again your records will never be touched for a while."

Naruto nodded, his class had been really talented and to expect the same from the mext would be foolish. However if they were ANBU they definitely weren't weak. Generally most ANBU have the strength equivalent to 6 Jonin at minimum. The higher up the ANBU totem pole, the more their worth.

"We have that Induction Ceremony tonight?"

"No. That'll be tomorrow, their mainly just getting gear issued, and meeting the Captains and seeing who their squadmates are. The thought is that if we give them a day with the Squad, then they can learn more about one another better than at the Ceremony. However we all look forward to that Ceremony every year...so we definitely will still have it."

Naruto chuckled, it as the truth. That was some of the best food he's had in one place. Plus the environment was just fun and he had felt in place.

"Rest up, ok? I'll be back when it's time."

"Hai."

"Man...he reminds so much of Itachi at times that it's scary." Naruto thought as he watched Wolf walk out of the room.

How would the squad be? Hopefully they didn't hate him but that would be wishful thinking. The reality was that no one kiked him generally. However when he's demonstrated his loyalty to those around him and saved others, it helps in changing their perception. Constantly he wondered if he'd been among the normal shinobi and did what he's done, would the village already have a change in heart?

Either way, what truly mattered was what Sasuki thought of him. As long as she didn't hate or fear him, everything would be fine. He'd endure anything for her.

After an hour, Wolf returned as he said he would and brought a new set of clothes to Naruto. His clothes had been damaged and he needed his ANBU gear. Naruto slipped his mask on and flared the Sharingan to life. It was time for business. Taking a look at Shisui's tanto, he spoke to himself silently.

"Nii-san, I've reached your rank...I hope I've made you proud...I miss you." Naruto closed his eyes as he slowly sheathed the tanto.

Wolf watched and knew that Shisui had always been proud of Naruto. He never had to do all this to make him proud. Sadly Naruto would never get to hear those words. After Naruto reopened his eyes, Sharingan still active, he led him through the corridors of the Hq.

They went far into Hq, the lockers, armory, and meeting room of Squad Kyū was rather secluded from the others. The rooms all looked new and were nicer than Ro's. Naruto was definitely pleased.

"Your squad has it's own training ground, reserved only to your squad. Only you and me have our chakras keyed to it, if anyone else wants to enter, one of us have to let them in. You may key other people if you like."

"Thank you, Commander. What's the squad's ETA?"

"9 mikes."

"Good. I'll be testing them."

"Go ahead Fox, it's your squad."

Naruto gave a bow and entered the meeting room. He wanted his squad there first, rather than the locker room. It would be better to do it this way so they can know what type of people tbey are and then see the way they'll handle some stress.

After 6 minutes, Hinto walked in. Hinto waved and stood beside Naruto. "Hinto, you are my second in command."

"I appreciate the opportunity, I won't let you down."

"I know you won't, let's see what the recruits got. Oh! I need to key your chakra to our new personal training ground."

"WE HAVE OUR OWN TRAINING GROUND?" Hinto jumped in excitement, he noticed that eveything had been brand new and was all nicer than the other squads' stuff.

"Haha yes, I haven't seen it yet but it must be pretty awesome. Well, game face on...they should be here any second."

Hinto nodded and leaned against the wall like Naruto with their arms crossed. However Naruto's eyes gave off a red glow in the darkened room and they waited. It had been another 10 minutes, they were late...

Finally the door opened and it was dark. "Are we in the wrong place?" One of them said.

Suddenly in the darkness, a pair of glowing red eyes opened. Fear trickled down their bodies and they froze. The were all paralyzed and couldn't move. All they could do was move their eyes and talk.

"You're late." Naruto said

"You sound like a kid...what are you doing here. This is-" one said

"I am your Captain, during duty and missions, you will call me Captain or Captain Fox. Who are you?"

The one that had been talking couldn't believe it. This person sounded like a kid, how was a kid the Captain? "Are you messing with us?"

Naruto closed his eyes making the room completely dark. When he opened his eyes again he was dorectly in front of the recruit with a kunai to his throat. Now the eyes could be seen and they saw three tomoes. "Does it sound like I'm messing with you?"

The recruit gulped. "I'm Renzo...codename Snake."

"Good. now you two."

"Yumi, codename Hound"

"Hmm. Are you an Inuzuka?"

"Why do you ask, Captain?"

"Good, you didn't forget. Well I see the marks on your face, normally only the Inuzuka clan bears them. However I wonder where your companion is?" Naruto glanced around a bit but still hadn't seen it

"He's behind you..." Yumi said

Naruto turned and saw him. He stepped to the dog but it growled slightly, sensing the Kyubi. Naruto looked it in the eye and it wimpered then returned to Yumi.

"Now you, who are you?" Naruto said looking at the last one.

"Shura, codename Hippo."

"Hippo...you serious?" Naruto asked

"Yes...hippo."

"Ok. Well then...Hawk, lights."

The lights came on and they saw Naruto as a short kid. Looked like he just got out the academy. However they also felt a power emanating from him that far surpassed their own.

"This here is Hawk. He's my second in command."

"Captain what's your guys' names?"

"Yumi, you'll know if you pass...now the lockers are through that door, and the armory is next to it. You will meet us at our training ground in 3 minutes, fully geared up. UNDERSTOOD?"

"HAI!" they all chorused and ran into the locker room to get changed over into the ANBU gear.

Naruto and Hinto chuckled a little as they shunshined to the training ground. It was huge, there was a clearing, a forested section, a large lake, and some rock faces. You could do just about anything in there. Hinto and Naruto were truly impressed, this was the best and nicest training ground they had seen. There was a lot that also was there like different types of courses for Shurikenjutsu, obstacle courses and more.

In the locker room the 3 were moving crazily and frantically. 3 minutes? That was it? To get fully changed over, geared up, and load all their tools. That was ridiculous.

"Yo Yumi, this kid is fucking with us right? He can't expect us to be done in time."

"Just hurry up Renzo. I don't want to find out the consequences. We've already seen he possesses the Sharingan...that means he's Naruto Uchiha."

"Yeah, he's the one who set every record at basic training. Breaking...no demolishing the Yondaime's and Shisui Uchiha's records."

"Don't forget, Shura. He's the youngest ANBU ever, and now the youngest Captain ever apparently." Yumi said which Shura nodded to.

"If he's Naruto Uchiha, then that means he's the Kyubi...how the hell are we to trust that demon?"

"I don't know Renzo...I don't know...we'll have to look out for eachother. Maybe we can get Hawk on our side and he can help us." Shura said

"Are you a moron? That's his number 2! What makes you think he's on our side?" Yumi said.

"He might just be based on time in service. This squad was just formed. He probably was just transfered into the demon brat's squad."

"Renzo's right, Yumi. We can get him on our side and should something happen we can take him out."

The three nodded and agreed to their pact to neutralize Naruto. They wouldn't risk him being a demon on the loose. Little did they know a bird had been watching.

"Naruto-kun, I hope you can change their minds...it won't be easy. I believe in you though, always have." Wolf thought as he walked away from his desk. The bird promptly flew away and left the 3 to finish getting ready.

Naruto and Hinto waited patiently in the clearing and after 15 minutes the recruits were seen running to them.

"Damn...I know 3 minutes was short but they shouldn't have taken this long. Hinto?"

"Yeah, Naruto? What's wrong?" Hinto looked over and saw Naruto's face, he was being passive but he could tell that Naruto was feeling slightly down.

"Don't tell them anything about me or what I've done..."

"What do you mean?"

"They're against me...I can tell. My Sharingan told them who I was and with my hair, height, voice, it's obvious who I am...They'll probably get you on their side, go with it. I'll have to win them over on my own."

"Naruto, them knowing about you using yourself as a decoy, and saving your comrades on multiple occasions...it would help."

"No. They won't believe it...just let me try. If things get too bad, we will figure it out."

"Alright bro. I'll do as you wish."

"Thank you." Naruto looked over at the recruits who now finally reached them. They had sweat on their faces and were panting a bit. Naruto shook his head. "You're supposed to be ANBU and you're tired? Disappointing. Why are you late?"

"Captain the time limit was too short!"

"EXCUSES! Yumi, if you're given a mission and a time limit, will you blame the time for failure?"

"N-no..."

"Exactly! Now why aren't your masks on? I said be fully dressed and geared up. We are on duty, MASKS ON!"

They quickly slid their masks on, being Snake, Hippo, and Hound. They stood wary of what would happen, what did this demon have in store for them? All they knew was that all they had was one another, against him...

"What do you want us to do, Captain." Hippo said

"Hmmm. Let's see. I need to get an estimate on your skill levels...ok here's the plan. You guys will all try to retrieve this flag from me." Naruto tied a black flag with red Kanji for 9 on it around his left arm where the tattoo was. "You have till the evening...if you don't come at me with the intent to kill, you'll never touch the flag."

It was funny that he said touch rather than take. The goal was to take it and he said they'd never touch it without trying to kill him, did he think that low of them? Yumi shook her head.

"Are there any rules?"

"Glad you asked, Snake. No, there are no rules. You can hide once we start and try to get the drop on me or whatever. I don't really care what strategy you employ."

Renzo actually smiled at this. They could kill him now and it'd be seen as a training accident. He looked to the other two and they all gave a nod, knowing that they were on the same page.

"Naruto...I hope you know what you're doing." Hinto thought.

"What side is Hawk on?"

"Glad you asked, Hound. He is on your side...I don't know his ability, he got transferred into the squad today."

Renzo smiled even wider, his thought had been completely right...or so he thought. He was wholly wrong! Renzo started bouncing on his feet. Everything was going so well in his head.

Hinto was getting worried for his friend, but he knew that Naruto was ridiculously hard to even beat. If all else fails, he's got Susanoo to protect him.

"Want my help?"

"I should be fine, Kyubi. Thank you."

"You're still only at 35% Naruto."

"Hmmm...could you speed that up?"

"You'd have to remain still. Otherwise I can only heal you maybe twice as fast. If you can remain still, it will be exponentially faster."

"I see. Well, help me as best you can in that sense. Regardless, I don't expect this to require too much power from me. I'd only need 20% against the recruits alone...I'd need 90% if Hinto went all out."

"Kit, remember they're working together. I have no doubt 20% would be enough for one alone, maybe 2. But not all of them."

"You forget Kyubi, I'm a Genjutsu master. I can beat them with that if I need. I'd like to get a guage first but if push comes to shove, they'll learn the depths of my Genjutsu prowess."

"Alright. If I see you in a bad situation, I'll force my chakra to you."

"No need...Susanoo will be my trump card. Besides, I'm not too interested in bringing the timetable of the sickness up closer. I'm going to need all the strength I can get for the war."

"Very well."

Naruto looked over at them one last time and gave a nod. Immediately they all disappeared from view. "They're probably strategizing. Since I said Hinto just transfered in, he won't face any issues..."

From what they saw, he was throwing rocks around. Like he was just trying to pass the time. Did he not think much of them? Renzo looked to Hawk.

"So what do you know of him?"

"Not much. I haven't worked alongside him. I just know that the previous squad he was in was a really strong one."

They didn't say much else about it since it made sense. Just because you were fellow ANBU didn't mean you knew all about one another.

"What would you advise?" Yumi said

"Hmmm...well you don't become a Captain by being weak, we should be careful when we engage. He said to come with intent to kill for a reason."

"Does he really think he can beat us all?" Shura said

"It's not about that. His goal isn't to beat us all."

"You're right...he never said he'd try to fight! Our true enemy is time!" Renzo said as he stood up.

It was true, if Naruto wanted, he could just Shunshin away all he wanted until time ran out. That wasn't his plan, it was a very real possibility.

"He is no coward, Snake. Don't expect him to just run away...if you seek a fight, becareful of what you wish for."

"Whatever, Hawk. You can be scared all you want. I'm going to get that flag! Who's with me!"

Hippo and Hound both stood and showed their support. Reluctantly Hawk stood with them and Renzo began to plan.

At this point, Naruto had scattered so many rocks around and was getting bored. Maybe he should have lessened the time. Naruto stood up and stretched a bit. He took out the kunai that Kakashi gifted him when he became an ANBU. His father's three pronged kunai.

Maybe he would start using kunai like this. It was ridiculously sharp, and it was heavier. He'd be able to throw it and it wouldn't just fly away from a jutsu. It also would be a better weapon than a normal kunai since it was a little bigger.

Placing it back in his pouch, he moved his head slightly to the left as a kunai soared past from behind him. He turned around slowly and saw Snake.

"Good try. Atleast you took what I said seriously." Naruto then cut the wire that had been there and Renzo froze.

"How'd you know?"

Naruto dispersed in crows. "Because, I was never there..." Naruto spoke from behind him and kicked him into the center of the clearing.

Hippo and Hound were both surprised. How did Naruto know where Renzo was or when to dodge? When did he switch and what kind of jutsu let him become crows?

Hippo began praying a little which made Hound wonder why. "Crows are a bad omen of death."

Hound didn't feel any better. She just focused and tried to figure out how they'd proceed now. The plan was to create a network of wire to ensnare Naruto then light them. However Naruto apparently saw threw it.

Renzo quickly got up and no longer saw Naruto where he'd been. What the hell was going on? "You really shouldn't let your enemy keep getting behind you."

Renzo turned slightly and it was too late. He couldn't get away, Naruto began to try to stab him but a kunai hit the knife and made it go off course just giving Renzo a cut to his side.

Naruto glanced over and saw a fireball coming at him. He quickly grabbed Renzo and threw him at the fireball and jumped away himself. Renzo did quick handsigns and spit put a water bullet that collided with the fireball and made a mist envelop the area.

"So, you're a water style user. Interesting."

Renzo was getting worried slightly, he was isolated, and at the moment the others would be able to see him to help. He'd gotten in way over his head.

"What's your plan Captain?"

"Oh? My plan? Well it doesn't matter...mathematically 4 on 1 seems pretty one sided right? You guys have the advantage...yet here you are...alone..."

"What are you playing at?"

"You're overconfident, over your head. You've made a fatal miscalculation in your plans...it will never work..."

"Plans...is he already onto us?"

The mist cleared and Renzo was surprised that he hadn't been attacked or incapacitated. The others were too, he'd been at Naruto's mercy. Hinto smirked and just watched on.

Renzo regrouped with the others and before he could say anything, Naruto appeared in the center of them. "Lightning Stream" Naruto extended his hands and dispersed lightning all around him, shocking and throwing them all back.

They realised why Naruto hadn't incapacitated Renzo, it was to locate them all and in one swift jutsu, rendered them all paralyzed.

"Well, you all didn't last long... it'll be a few hours until you can move again. Tomorrow is your Induction Ceremony, after that we start training. 0300 meet in the meeting room ready to go in two days." Naruto shunshined away leaving them behind. He looked at the clock and saw it was 1400.

"Sasuki-chan should be done by now."

"You didn't need to use the Hiraishin from those rocks afterall."

"It will be useful some other time. They were careless and underestimated me. It won't happen again."

Naruto went to training ground 7 and saw they weren't there. He sent a crow to find Kakashi and learned that they'd taken their first mission. He smiled and awaited for them to finish.

After a few hours, he saw Sasuki walking from having reported to Hiruzen. Using a lightning shunshin, he arrived in front of her and Kakashi.

"How was it, Sasuki-chan?"

"She had a successful first mission." Kakashi said and gave a thumbs up before leaving with a leaf shunshin.

"Well lets go celebrate your first successful mission. How about some sweets?"

She gave a nod. "So, you learn your squad?"

"Yes. Yes I did."

"And?"

"Well...They're pretty rough around the edges. They've got a long ways to go."

They walked to the shop for some sweets and Sasuki's frustrations seemed o very quickly go away. Instead the craving of delicious snacks came to mind.

"Well when do you leave again?"

"I shouldn't be going on a mission for a couple weeks. I won't be gone for very long again...atleast not for a while."

"That's good. Can you help me tomorrow?"

"Sure."

"The next mission will be easy, however the issue of Danzo. He's bound to slip up at some point. When he does, we'll be ready."

It had always been suspected that Danzo was doing things behind the scenes, Recently they'd discovered that one of his subordinates was the one that tipped Iwa off on their mission behind enemy lines. Why he would, was unknown. For someone who values the village over all else, surely sees value in the Kyubi, why risk it?

Secondly he was already known to do acts of treason in the past, this is just a new line, the issue was that there was no hard evidence. It was made to seem that the subordinate acted of his own freewill. The day would come when something incriminating pops up...Hopefully it won't be too late. Him being a village elder allows him to know what's going on almost all the time. Something that is both beneficial and damming to them.

"What if I use 'that' jutsu? It would work...but they could denounce it's credibility...guess Jiji was right. We'll have to wait."

Naruto looked over to see a sleeping Sasuki, he got up and went to the dojo to meditate. Lately sleep was becoming more and more elusive, meditation was the only rest he mainly got.

"Kyubi. I have a question. I'd read that Jinchuriki were immune to genjutsu...why had I been susceptible before?"

"For one, that is half correct. You yourself aren't immune, it's the fact that we tailed beast can disrupt your chakra for you and break any Genjutsus cast on you. Second, I didn't care about you back then...then when you got your eternal light...well."

"So you care now?"

"Wouldn't say that exactly, but I don't mind lending a hand at the moment."

"I see. Well that's my next question, at the hospital, when I was in Itachi's Genjutsu, why didn't you do anything? How'd he even cast it on me in the first place?"

"Well I wanted to see how it would play out. And it was the same way you use the crow alongside your Sharingan. He just had it utilize his Mangekyo...there is a bigger question you should be asking..."

"Where was he? I've always had to be at a relatively close distance if I want to use the powers or my visual prowess through a crow...if it was just recon I could be at nearly any distance...not only that, but he'd had to know when the surgery was happening somehow..."

"He was extremely secretive when talking to you...practically confirmed that there was far more to the massacre than originally thought. Naruto, there is a chance that-"

"He's still a part of the village in some way."

The Kyubi nodded. Naruto closed his eyes and shook his head. Then the massacre was an order...a mission. Would Hiruzen really send Itachi to massacre the clan? It didn't make sense, why would they do that?

When Naruto left the mindscape and opened his eyes, he was greeted by a smiling Sasuki sitting across from him. "When did you get here?"

"About 10 minutes ago. You looked like you were concentrating so I left you be."

"I see. Today, I will be teaching you how to utilize crows."

"Are you serious?"

"Yes. They're better than using a log, the clone is the most versatile and in the end, the least chakra consuming since it doesn't cost any to reform, only to make. Plus it opens up many doors for Genjutsu. Since that is an are you are lacking, this will help provide better windows."

"Naru?"

"Something wrong?"

"Not necessarily...I just notice that you're not sleeping much anymore again. What's wrong? Please, be honest with me. I'm your girlfriend, and have always been your biggest supporter...you always help me, let me try to help you."

"You don't need to worry. Everything's fine."

Sasuki looked at him and doubted what he said. "Why can't you tell the truth?"

"Just don't worry about it. Some other time, ok?"

She reluctantly gave a nod before they began to work on her use of crows. It isn't really hard, he was able to learn in a couple hours, so she should be the same. It was just a matter of getting creative with the crows.

"Something I'd really recommend for you, is to use the crows in conjunction with your Shurikenjutsu. You're great at it, and it's a really simple Genjutsu to cast."

"I'll give it a try. Why don't you use it that much?"

"I used to, but I don't want to become predictable. I use it to throw opponents off mainly."

"Oh. Naru?"

"Yes?"

"Do you think I can join ANBU with you?"

"Sasuki-chan...why do you want to?"

She looked away slightly before looking back to Naruto. "I don't feel like I'm helping the village at all...you're out there risking your life and being in dangerous missions, I'm chasing a stupid cat."

"Listen...we each have our part to play in the village-"

"And I want to do mine! It is no good for me to just be chasing a cat. Doing these menial tasks."

"I hear you...but it won't always be that way...as for ANBU, it's not a matter of if you can, I don't want you to."

She looked him straight in the eye and had tried to open her mouth to speak but the words just wouldn't come out. She wanted to tell him that she'd be fine, that she was strong enough. How much she could help him. All she could muster under a trembling voice was "Why?"

Naruto closed his eyes and sighed. He knew that she probably thinks that he's doubting her abilities. "It's not that you aren't strong enough...in fact, you would probably beat each of my new squad in a one on one battle."

"THEN LET ME JOIN YOU!" Sasuki said interrupting him. He just sighed again.

"Despite that, I still don't want you to. Sasuki..." not saying chan made it very clear to her that he was being serious. Always he called her Sasuki-chan and never once did he just call her Sasuki. Knowing this, she remained quiet to hear him out. "...you can still have a normal life, full of friends and the ones you care for. You haven't been caught by the darkness and I will not let you be. You're all that's left that ties me to the world and sanity. If I lost you...I don't know what would happen...This is why I don't want you to join the ANBU."

"Naru-kun..." Sasuki spoke in a quiet subdued tone. "...you've been my light and strength all this time. Thanks to that I've been able to find even more light, but you've never let anyone be yours. We can't control what happens...but you know your argument has a flaw...despite the dangerous missions, ANBU have the lowest death rate." Naruto opened his mouth to say something but she put a finger to his lips. "Our chemistry is greater than any other, we would be able to watch eachother's back with ease and take care of one another. Please, let me try to help you for once. If you won't tell me what you feel, atleast let me be by your side through it all."

Naruto began to tear up and was doing everything possible not to cry. He'd sworn to never cry again. "Sasuki-chan...I can't lose you!"

Sasuki held his hand and smiled, "You won't."

"If you're unwilling to give up, you need to see where my actions thus far all began."

"What do you mean?"

Naruto didn't say a thing. Instead, he'd closed his eyes and slowly opened them, revealing his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. She opened her eyes and everything around her was different. No longer was she in the dojo...infact, no longer was she herself...
