Hey guys I never thought I'd come back to this story. But here it is this will either be the last chapter or the second to the last chapter. I had lost my love for writing for a long time. Since I've taken a long break there will be a big jump.

They had won the great shinobi war with Naruto's help and instead of Naruto becoming Hokage he was still denied his citizenship back. Sasuke had wrapped his arm around the blond as they came home, and Naruto dug his feet staring at the house that he had been abused in, that they both had been abused in. He begged Sasuke for them to stay at the inn just for the night. Sasuke relented and planned to get them a different home. He watched his dobe scratch at the collar he hadn't worn in years. Sasuke sighed sadly taking him to the inn and got them a room. He left once Naruto fell asleep and went to work. In the morning the house he grew up in, and had been the cell Orochimaru made for him and Naruto be torn to the ground. Preparations for a new home one Naruto was given complete design control. He wanted him to be comfortable. Naruto had given everything up and at least this would be a nice distraction, something that was just for them.
It had been five years since their home was built, and five years since the war. Naruto smiled coming home from the market arms full of groceries, they fell out of his arms as he walked to the old house. He shook his head this wasn't possible. He knew the house had been destroyed. "Naruto! Come back to me Naruto." He heard Orochimaru call from the front porch. He stumbled up to the male without a second thought eyes full of tears as he was dragged in close. Hot breath danced across his face as arms snaked around him yanking him into the house. "That's right Naruto you know that no matter what you'll always come back into my arms my angel." Suddenly Orochimaru turned into the snake he was and started to engulf Naruto.
Naruto sat up screaming trying to get out of Sasuke's arms. Sasuke woke up to the sudden screaming and held him. Sasuke knew if he let Naruto run, the blond would accidently hurt himself like he did almost every night. "Naruto it's me my love it's okay. Calm down." He begged. Naruto was covered in sweat his whole body heaving from the tremors, but slowly and surely he calmed down.
"I...I'm sorry Sasuke." Naruto said softly. He still had nightmares of Orochimaru and how easily he always obeyed the snake. He pulled free of Sasuke tearing up. He saw Sasuke starting to get up. "No it's fine. I'm in control." He said softly and felt a sting in his heart at the distrust in his lover's eyes. Naruto went to the bathroom and left the door open, the only thing Sasuke demanded of him now. The door stayed open and all sharp objects locked away. Naruto splashed water on his face and stared at the white porcelain as droplets ran down the shiny surface. He drank some of the water turning the faucet off. He turned and saw Sasuke standing in the door way.
"I think you should talk to someone...Naruto you shouldn't have to live like this." Sasuke said softly.
"Talk to someone...live like this...you act like what we went through was no big deal you go about your life and smile and get to do whatever the fuck you want. I have to have a pass to go grab groceries with a note so no one thinks I stole your money! I am nothing. He made sure I would have nothing but you and him corrupting me till I die!" Naruto yelled and glared at Sasuke. "Hell you could lock me in a room and no one could stop you. I wouldn't have the authority to save myself. You can be normal!"
"Baby please I know this isn't you talking...this is what he wants. Us to suffer we have to prevail." Sasuke said and tried to touch Naruto who flinched away.
Naruto punched the wall trembling as he broke through it. He sunk to his knees. "You act like it's easy. I. I'm going to my room." He said softly and tried to get up but had lost all of his energy. Sasuke gently picked him up and laid him in their bed.
"I said my room. I.." Naruto started.
Sasuke sighed. I'm not going to get back in bed." He said and tucked Naruto in caressing his cheek. "In the morning we can go for a walk and maybe go get some pampering done. I know your hair is getting too long for you to stand." He said softly and held his hand.
"Still treating me like your woman." Naruto said frowning.
"If that's how you want to see it Dobe nothing I can do about except smile huh?" Naruto blushed and pulled the covers up. "I'm sorry I upset you. I try every day for your freedom." He said softly.
"I know you do. You don't have to apologize. I'm just shocked you can put up with my crazy." He said and closed his eyes slowly falling asleep. Sasuke watched him sadly and closed his eyes. "I'd do anything Naruto." He mumbled and fell back asleep.
In the morning Naruto woke up before Sasuke and started on breakfast. He had gotten good at cooking and even got a compliment out of Sasuke occasionally. He looked up as Sasuke walked in trying to brush his hair into a more presentable state. "You like making me wake up in panics don't you?" Sasuke asked.
Naruto chuckled. "I got to spice it up somehow. I'm sorry you have issues with me making you food I guess." He teased and finished making them breakfast. "Um do you really have the day off or are you just blowing off work?"
"I do have the day off I asked for this." He said smiling. "We have a lot to do and I think we talked with a mind doctor. Sakura says they're called a therapist." He said. "I know you don't want that but it would be better than not trying to get help. I'm going to be seeing the doctor for my own problems too." He said softly. Naruto frowned and nodded.
"You're not going to let it go until I go anyways. Fine. Now eat up. I don't want my food going to waste." He said and served himself and sat at the table. He had attempted to make Sasuke's favorite but knew it wouldn't be enough for a complement. He loved Sasuke, he truly did, but the nightmares and the painful pasts between them. Their relationship was far from normal. If they made love the light had to be off and Sasuke wasn't allowed to touch him with his hands. Mostly he thought of Sasuke but some time he would pretend it was still the snake. He had been so fucked up and Sasuke was just so patient and gentle. Sasuke watched Naruto sadly he could see the pain and guilt in his face and he dished up his food. He sat down and took a bite.
"Naruto this is amazing. Thank you. It tastes just like my mother cooked it herself." He smiled seeing those blue eyes sparkle and the grin ear to ear.
"I tried really hard and Sakura has been giving me pointers." He said smiling and looked down. "Tonight. I want you to hold me, the light on, touching me however you want. I think I'm ready for you completely." Sasuke smiled.
"Whatever you wish." Sasuke said smiling. "Why don't you go shower and get ready while I do the dishes." He said smiling.
"Sounds good." Naruto said smiling and went to the bathroom in their room. He smiled and undressed. He turned on the water and closed his eyes. He began touching himself, this used to make him sick to his stomach but alone. He felt comfortable to relieve himself. He jumped feeling arms wrap around him. He tried to turn to see who it was his heart pounding in his chest. "Sasuke..is that you let me..." He started and his mouth was covered. He started to panic and threw his elbow back hitting something and they both fell. He hit his head hard and blacked out for a few minutes.
Sasuke heard the fall and ran upstairs to the bedroom. He rushed in and saw Naruto on the floor of the shower. He picked him up and set him on the floor checking him over worried. "Baby? Naruto wake up." He said gently shaking him. Naruto slowly opened his eyes and pulled away from Sasuke upset. "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO ME!" Naruto screamed and scrambled away from Sasuke not seeing his shocked and confused face.
Naruto locked himself in his room and trembled pacing back and forth. Sasuke did that to him, but why would he have done that to him. He curled up in the closet hiding. When he said he wanted to be touched he hadn't meant being grab like that without warning. He was shaking in fear and terror hearing his door unlock. "Naruto...baby I don't know what happened but I'm sorry. I was doing the dishes and heard a crash. You were knocked out in the shower...I know you don't like being touched but all I did was pull you out of the water. I'll leave you some money and notes so you can do what you want. I'll go see if I'm needed on a mission." He said softly. "I love you."
Naruto frowned confused at the other's words. He never had a flashback or anything as real as what happened in the shower. Was Sasuke lying? He thought frowning and heard Sasuke leave. He didn't move for a few minutes until Sasuke left. He slowly got dressed and went downstairs to grab the money and notes. He went into town to find Sakura.
Sakura was heading home when she saw Naruto rushing toward her. "Sakura..." He said trying to keep it together and she smiled sadly leading him to her apartment. "Talk to me what happened?" She asked softly.
Naruto explained what happened and his frustrations that Sasuke wouldn't admit to it. He looked down at his knees holding them down so he didn't shake his legs. "I just want things to be good but Sasuke doesn't understand me. I want my freedom. I have no enemies for the Leaf to keep me like this. This is my reward for saving the world. Coming back home to be a slave. No reward, constant nightmares." He said feeling tears burn his eyes but he held them back.
Sakura was frowning. "If Sasuke did do that to you in the shower denying it could have been he was ashamed and couldn't own up to it in the moment. Not that it is right of him to do so. One thing I don't get Naruto is what do you mean they still won't give you back your citizenship. The old elder council has stepped down and there's a new one. I don't believe there could possibly be any denial, especially with Lady Tsunade on the council." Naruto froze looking at her. "Lets go meet with Kakashi and the elders and you can ask them yourself." She said and held out her hand. Naruto nodded and took it.
"Thank you Sakura you always know how to help calm me down." He said softly and sighed as they left. "Tell me about your day. You can talk to me too." He said smiling and she happily told him what she had been up to. When they got to the office he hesitated to knock on the door before finally managing it. 'This could have been my office by now if it all hadn't happened.' He thought sadly.
Kakashi looked up at the quiet knock. "Come on in Naruto, Sakura." He called and watched the door open slowly. If this was the old Naruto he'd either be crawling in the window or kicking in the door. But his student had been broken down and he smiled at them. "What brings you here Naruto? Did you come for a visit?"
Naruto nodded. "And to ask a question Sen...Lord Hokage. If you have the time. I know I shouldn't be here without Sasuke but please."
"Its quite alright Naruto, come sit. And if you feel more comfortable you can still call me Sensei." He said pointing to one of the chairs, using his other hand to hide the racy novels he had just been reading. Naruto walked over with Sakura and sat down. "Now what's this question of yours?" He asked smiling and sat back in his seat.
Naruto smiled. "Sensei, I want to ask you. With the new council, I was wondering if they could accept Sasuke's offer and give me back my citizenship?" He asked smiling. "Please Sensei, I know Sasuke is in every day but maybe if you could listen to me?" He begged. Kakashi's eyes saddened looking at Naruto and said something that filled Naruto with a rage he hadn't felt in a long time.
