Being the only child born to immigrant parents in Queens, New York, Frankie Rae's parents swore to give her the opportunity to live a better life than the one they had lived in their native India. Giving her such an "All-American" name at birth was, in their mind, the first step to doing just that. It had come as no surprise when the wanderlust they had instilled into her soul growing up had become something she wanted to pursue. Being told that she couldn't do something fueled her on her journey to completing that task, a trait that would follow her through her life. Frankie enlisted in the United States Navy when she turned eighteen, just two days after her high school graduation as The Navy appealed to her inner travel bug. As the years passed she realized that she enjoyed the Naval life and was damn good at what she did. She quickly ascended the enlisted ranks, aiming to get the most out of her career. As a Lieutenant Junior Grade (LTJG), she volunteered for Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) screening - which had only recently opened to females. Despite all of the naysayers who insisted that a woman wouldn't or couldn't survive the course, Lieutenant Junior Grade Frankie Rae earned her Trident, as well as her place among some of America's most elite warfighters. During an operation, Frankie was badly wounded by an IED, shattering her right clavicle and scapula and nicking that carotid artery. With the aide of her team members, she managed to survive. After multiple reconstructive surgeries, Frankie received a Medical Discharge. After recovering and returning to her family in Queens, Frankie began working towards a new objective: Regain as much mobility in her shoulder as possible. Having spent the majority of her adult life in the military, she found the day-to-day life of a civilian tedious and dull. With the recommendation of a former teammate, she made her way through the pipeline to become Federal Agent with the Department of Homeland Security.
