Everyone gathered after the game. Sofia questioned what the plans were for tomorrow. "Studying in the library!" Desmond exclaimed. The others gave him a blank stare, making Desmond go, "I mean... ummm... hanging out in some... other... way..."

Sofia replied that hanging out again would definitely be fun. "Yeah. We can do it at my lake. I wouldn't mind!" Hugo added.

"I don't know. Studying in the library actually sounds exhilarating," Varian stated. Hildegard quickly attached to Varian's arm saying how she agreed.

"Really!?" Zandar cried in shock. "Since when did you ever find studying fun?"

"I don't know what you are talking about. I've always enjoyed it," Hildegard chuckled.

"Riiiight..." Zandar sarcastically responded, glancing back and forth between Hildegard and Varian. Varian intensely tried to remove his arm from Hildegard's grasp, making Zandar raise an eyebrow.

"Alright, so Hugo's place it is. Sounds fun," Sofia stated.

As the group arrived to Hugo's kingdom the next day, Varian automatically began to shiver. "I thought you said this was a lake! It's just a huge block of ice!"

"Oh, it's a lake in the summertime! It's just frozen and an ice rink now," Hugo explained. The prince then headed for the bench and slipped on his ice skates, the other boys starting to do the same, except for Varian.

Sofia offered if he wanted to join the others in skating. "And end up falling on my face? No thank you!"

"Not everyone is an expert," Sofia claimed. They turned seeing Desmond walking instead of skating on the ice. He held his arms out as he tried to balance in the skates, but ended up falling straight down. "See," Sofia giggled as Desmond attempted to stand back up. She leaned then picked up a pair of ice skates and handed them to Varian going, "Just try to have fun! I know you can."

"Sofia!" Hildegard cried as she approached the bench. "Quit flirting with my boyfriend! You have your own," she demanded.

Sofia, Varian, Zandar, and Hugo all turned to Hildegard and went, "Your boyfriend!?" with much shock. "Since when was he 'your boyfriend'?" Zandar added. Hildegard answered that it was when she called dibs. "When you what!?"

"Don't you listen?" Hildegard replied. "Varian is mine," she finished.

"No; I'm not!" Varian defensively exclaimed. However, the Freezenburg princess simply stated how she loves when he plays hard-to-get. "But... I... what!?"

Hildegard then grabbed his hand and headed for the ice. "Let's go, my Varian. We'll show them all how couple skating is done," she declared. Varian gave a nervous expression as he was pulled onto the rink. He then mumbled how he doesn't even know how to single skate.

Hugo and Sofia began to chuckle. "Poor Varian. This must be terrible for him," Hugo said. Sofia giggled in agreement. "Well, Sofia. Since they want to show off couple skating skills, what do you say we wipe the floor with them?" Hugo insisted.

As Sofia agreed and she and Hugo stepped onto the rink, Zandar still sat on the bench. He couldn't keep his eyes off of the graceful Hildegard and struggling Varian. "What does he do to get her attention so easily?" he thought aloud. It's almost impossible to impress the stubborn princess, yet Varian could slip on ice and Hildy would still be amused. "What am I doing wrong...?"

It was almost as if Hildegard only saw positives in Varian. Suddenly, Zandar's eyes widened. "That must be it!" he realized. Varian had the positive traits of all the princes there. He had the brains of Desmond, the handsomeness of Hugo, the goofiness of James, and the flirtatiousness of Zandar. "He's like the perfect combination of all of us!" Zandar cried. Everyone then turned to look back at Zandar, all very puzzled. However, as Varian turned, he fell face first on the ice. "Well, maybe not perfect..." Zandar concluded.

"Oh, my poor Vari-Berry!" Hildegard cried, reaching to help him up.

"'Vari-Berry'...?" Zandar disturbingly murmured.

Hildegard began to suggest for Varian to hold on tighter to her so he wouldn't fall. "Actually, I think I'm going to take a break. You can keep skating, though," Varian replied as he made his way towards the edge of the rink. Hildegard questioned if he wanted her to keep him company. "No! No no no... You just, have fun, ok? I'll, uhhh, watch! Yeah! I'll watch you!"

As Varian sat down on the bench, he noticed Zandar giving him a weird glare. "Can I help you...?" Varian asked.

"I just don't get it," Zandar said. Varian gave a confused look, not understanding what Zandar meant. The prince then added, "How do you get Hildegard's attention so easily? She's so hard to impress, yet you can fall flat on your face and she still is googly over you!" Varian began to nervously chuckle and stated how he didn't know whether or not to take that as a compliment. "I just wish I could impress her," Zandar admitted.

"Dude, you want her? Take her! I can't stand her, honestly," Varian told the Tangu prince. For the rest of the day, Zandar helped Varian avoid Hildegard while Varian explained everything he thinks catches the princess' eye.
