Chapter Eight: Time Travel
And I'm back! (I really need to stop updating so late). Here's the eighth chapter. I apologize for any confusion. If you haven't watched Avengers Endgame, a lot of stuff won't make sense. Even If you have watched the movie, I still apologize for confusion. This chapter was rushed. And time travel is always confusing. I may have to edit this chapter if it doesn't make sense.

Chapter Eight: Time Travel
"This is our mini- beach area." Azari announced. With the help of Cassie and Pym, He was giving a tour of the facility to Lila, J.Q, and Elodie.
"How did you have a beach in the arctic circle?" J.Q asked.
"It was a beach." Cassie corrected. "The Black Order blasted a hole through the dome surrounding us, making snow fall over our beach."
"Cool." Elodie mumbled.
"We also have a small forest over there!" Pym shouted, pointing to the right.
"Cool." Elodie mumbled again.
"And we all have our own rooms!" Pym exclaimed.
"That's not cool." Elodie answered.
"Yeah, Pym. That's not interesting." Azari pointed out.
"I can tell you something interesting." J.Q bragged. "I've travelled around space, I've been to different planets, I've slid on Saturn's rings, I've survived many spaceship crashes_"
"Yeah, we get it." Cassie retorted. "You have more freedom than us."
"He's lying." Lila quipped. "Saturn's rings are just billions of chunks of asteroids, ice, rocks, and debris. It's my job to know." J.Q grunted from behind her.
Meanwhile in the basement, Peter, Bruce, Dr Strange, Rocket, Rhodey, and Bucky stood around the quantum tunnel discussing how to get the Infinity stones. Morgan, David, James, Toruun, and Francis sat quietly in the back listening. Morgan couldn't help but to ask a few questions.
"Since you had a time machine in our basement this whole time, why haven't you used it?" Morgan asked.
"The quantum tunnel would release an intense energy signature that could be detected from space." Peter explained, "And Thane would detect it and come for us."
"But now, Thane already knows where we are, so we have to get the stones before he comes and get the original Avengers back."
"If Thane gets our Pym Particles and the quantum tunnel together, he could create alternate realities and bring Thanos back to the living." Rhodey said.
"And he could go back in time and kill us and babies, make us evil, or-" David started to say,
"Yes, we get it." James answered.
"So, who did you want to time travel to get the Infinity Stones?" Toruun asked.
"Umm… you." Peter admitted. The young Avengers looked at him in shock. "We decided that when you guys were old enough, you would time travel to get the stones while we would guard the tunnel from Thane to buy you guys time."
"We're old enough!" Pym shouted as he flew into the room with the others.
"I don't think so, Pym." Cassie said.
"I'm 12! Nearly 13!" Pym quipped.
"That doesn't matter." Peter sighed. "We need the oldest and the most mature to do this job. I will go with you guys."
"We've chosen the people to go into the quantum tunnel." Bucky announced. "Only ten people."
"First, you need to know what you are getting." Dr Strange recalled.
"There are six Infinity Stones." Dr Strange made a spell to project six glowing gems.
"The purple one is the Power stone. The blue is Space. The green is Time, The yellow is mind, the orange is Soul, and red is reality."
"Here is what you are going to do." Bruce explained. " This year is 2035. The power stone is on an abandoned planet called Morag in 2014. And the soul stone is on another planet called Vormir in 2014. We need James Quill, David and Lila to get the power stone and Rocket and Groot to get the soul stone. In 2012, the Time, Space, and mind stones are all in New York in the year 2012. We need Pym to get the time stone from the Ancient One."
"The Ancient One?" Pym questioned.
"She's a bald old lady with magical powers. She will know you are there so dont try to steal it. Explain what you are doing and she will give it to you." Bruce explained.
"The Mind and Space stones are at Stark Tower. Peter, Cassie and Morgan will get the Space stone which is in a blue cube called the Tesseract. James and Francis will get the Mind stone which is in a scepter. But be careful. Don't let anyone see you."
"Toruun, Azari, and Elodie, you will go to Asgard in 2013 to get the reality stone."
"Asgard?" Toruun exclaimed.
"Yes. But don't get distracted." Peter said.
"There's one problem." Rhodey said worriedly. "In 2023, when most of you were little kids,-"
"You guys went back in time." Morgan interrupted. "I remember you guys did that."
"So you might meet us from that time." Rocket said. "So be careful and don't bump into them."
"Why can't you guys go?" David asked.
"Because if I accidentally bumped into myself from 2023, I could create a time warp which would basically destroy that reality." Rhodey said.
"Besides, who's gonna guard the machine from Thane?" Rocket asked. Rhodey handed out time traveling watches.
"Be careful." He said. They all put on quantum suits and stood in a circle on the Quantum Tunnel.
"Before we go, you guys need to hear this." Peter said. "When we come back, only a minute would have passed.
"See you all in a minute." David joked.
"Very funny." Bruce answered. "Natasha said the same thing when we time traveled."
"Remember, this mission will be very dangerous. Some of us might not make it back, so I hope that you understand the consequences. We all have enough Pym Particles to go to the timeline you are instructed to go and back. If we- WHEN we collect all the stones, and when someone snaps everyone back, I'm sure your parents would be proud."
"Going quantum in three," Bruce started the machine and used a pencil to punch in the buttons.
"Two,"
"One."
The Next Avengers felt themselves shrink as they were swept away.
"AAAAAAAHHHHHH!" Pym shouted as they were into the quantum tunnel. It was so fast that all they saw were bright flashing lights. Then they all went separate directions.
J.Q, David, and Lila tumbled into the deserted planet of Morag.
"Where's the power stone?" Lila asked. David slammed into the two and they tumbled to the ground.
"Why did you do that?" J.Q asked. David put a finger to his lips and nodded hard as Rhodey and Nebula of year 2023 appeared a few yards away from them. They watched as the two adults walked towards the dancing Star Lord of 2013 and knocked him unconscious.
"That's my dad." James Quill whispered in awe.
"How embarrassing." Lila whispered. The followed the two adults into a cave.
"Stop!" David shouted. Rhodey and Nebula spun around.
"Who are you?" Nebula asked.
"We're from the year 2035." Lila exclaimed. "You guys don't make it." Nebula used her metal arm to get the power stone from it's cage.
"We will give it back in a split second. Just watch. We'll be back." David said as he took it from her.
"What are you doing?" Rhodey asked as he took it back.
"Please, we need it." J.Q said. "We're from the future. You guys lose."
"Or we will take it by force." Lila said.
"Just watch." David said as he took the power stone in it's metal case. The three shrunk and went back to 2035 leaving Rhodey and Nebula stunned. Meanwhile, Rocket and Groot landed on Vormir.
"I am Groot." Groot said.
"Rocket Raccoon and Groot." The two alien creatures spun around to see a man floating in a black cloak.
"We've come for the soul stone." Rocket explained.
"In order to acquire the soul stone, you must give a soul. A soul, for a soul."
"I am Groot."
"What! No Groot! I don't want to lose you again!" Rocket shouted. "I've lost you twice."
"I am Groot, I am Groot."
"You're right, If I take one of your twigs, I can grow a new version of you." Rocket said. "But you won't remember me." Groot wrapped his wooden arms around Rocket and hugged him for the last time.
"We are Groot." Groot said as he lept off of the cliff, sacrificing himself. Tears came to Rockets eyes. Then he woke up in shallow water. Looking at his right hand, he saw the soul stone in it.
Meanwhile in New York, Peter, James, Morgan, Cassie, and Oym appeared in New York around the time of the first Avengers movie.
"Wow!" Pym said as he looked around the destroyed city. Peter pointed at a building.
"Pym, go to the building and get the time stone from the Ancient One." Peter instructed.
"Got it!" Pym said. Pym shrunk and flew to the top of the building where a bald lady protected the building from the alien attacks in the sky.
"Henry Pym, isn't it?" The Ancient One asked.
"Yes. I need the time stone. I'll give it back." Pym said.
"You are just a lad. Do you know the dangers of an Infinity Stone?" She asked.
"Yes." Peter took a deep breath.
"Icomefromtheyear2035insearchofthetimestonebecauseThanosdestroyshalfoftheuniverseandweneedtoreversethat!" Pym spewed and then panted. The Ancient One projected an illusion of a yellow line.
"You must learn about the time stone to acquire it. If you mess up something in the timestream, it won't change your future."
"So it's not like Back to the Future?" Pym asked.
"No, you would create another reality. In fact you already have." The Ancient One said. "But it won't change much."
"I have to go right now!" Pym said as they heard the Hulk of 2023 come for the time stone. The Ancient One handed him the time stone.
"See you in a minute!" Pym exclaimed as he flew away. The Hulk came and looked around.
"Hi, I need the time stone." The Hulk said.
"Please wait a minute." She answered.
Peter, James, Francis, Morgan, and Cassie went to Stark tower.
"This place is neat." Cassie marveled. Peter pointed at a younger Tony Stark who has security guards next to him with Thor and Loki behind them.
"Shoot." Peter said as Tony Stark of 2023 appeared looking for the tesseract.
"We have to get it before he does!"
"That's my dad." Morgan whispered in awe. She started to move towards Iron Man of 2012 and the other Avengers.
"Morgan! No!" Peter hissed as he grabbed Morgan.
"Let's go." Francis told James as they took off. They went deeper into the Stark Tower and walked onto a platform where they stopped in their tracks. Captain America of 2023 was in front of them with his back facing them. He held Loki's scepter in one hand and his shield in the other. Captain America of 2012 was on the other side of the platform.
"I have eyes on Loki." Cap 2012 said. James and Francis dove behind a crate avoiding any contact with James' dad- dads.
"Don't tell me I'm about to do this." Cap 2023 groaned. The two Captain's clashed into battle. It was intense to watch. Meanwhile Morgan and Cassie watched Tony walk down the hallway with the guards and Thor and Loki. The tesseract was in a case held in a case that Peter held as he pretended to be one of the guards.
"Cassie, I need a distraction. Carefully, crawl inside Tony of 2012's arc reactor and unplug a cord, which will-"
"I don't need too." Cassie said sarcastically. "My dad of 2023 is already doing that." They watched as Ant Man od 2023 crawled inside of Tony's arc reactor. Ant Man messed something up in there and Tony of 2012 fell to the ground as if he was having a heart attack. The guards and Thor crowded around Tony trying to help him.
"Now!" Morgan whispered. Peter stopped as he saw Tony of 2023 dressed as a security guard reaching for the case also. Peter lunged forward and grabbed it, but Tony did also.
"I got it." Tomy of 2023 said. Peter froze knowing that Tony was going to travel back in time with it.
"Peter! The tesseract!" Morgan said through the com. Peter snapped back to reality just as Tony 2023 ran off with the tesseract case and disappeared.
Meanwhile, The Captain America's of 2012 and 2023 continued to fight until they were fighting on the floor. Cap 2012 had Cap 2023 in a chokehold. After a long struggle, Cap 2023 used Loki's scepter to knock Cap 2012 unconscious. James quickly crept behind Captain America of 2023.
"So that's what America's ass looks like." Cap 2023 chuckled as he glanced at a knocked out Cap 2012 who was facedown on the ground. James picked up the specter and used it's magical power to put his father to sleep. Cap 2023 fell facedown to the ground beside his counterpart.
"So that's what two America's ass look like." Francis joked.
"Very funny." James smirked as they took off. The two met up with Pym, Peter, Morgan, and Cassie in an abandoned alley. Their four comrades were inside an abandoned car, trying to keep out of sight from the Avengers- both of them. They got out when they saw the two boys approach.
"I got the time stone!" Pym said. "It can levitate over my hand! It's so cool!"
"What's not cool is that Peter lost the tesseract." Cassie complained.
"I got distracted." Peter groaned. He kicked the car, shattering a window.
"He also created another reality by letting my dad from 2023 leave with the Space stone." Morgan said.
"We should have come earlier." James answered.
"Not with our parents who were time traveling in search of the stones." Cassie answered. She turned to look at Pym.
"I saw dad at the tower." She told him.
"Really!" Pym exclaimed.
"Yeah, he gave MY dad a heart attack." Morgan answered.
"We only have enough Pym Particles for a trip back to 2035." Peter said.
"Maybe we can travel even more back in time to get more Pym Particles, and the Space stone."
"When were the space stone and Pym Particles around at the same time?" Francis asked.
"Hank Pym created Pym Particles around the late 1980's." Cassie explained.
"And SHIELD had the Tesseract around that time too!" Pym realized.
"But your parents had that idea, so we don't want to meet up with them again." Peter remembered.
"How about 2014?" Morgan suggested. "The tesseract was taken to Asgard after the alien invasion in 2012. The Tesseract stayed in Asgard until 2017 when Asgard was destroyed. I'm glad I listened to Toruun's stories about Asgard."
"But where would we get Pym Particles there?" Pym asked.
"Then we need to take the Tesseract when It was on Earth at the same time there were Pym Particles.
"How about we steal Pym Particles right now?" Cassie asked. "I remember where Hank Pym's house is." So they all went to Hank Pym's house.
"Our dad wasn't Antman at this time." Pym said glumly. Cassie told everyone to wait outside as she shrunk and flew away. Minutes later, she came back with 4 vials.
"This is all I could find." Cassie said.
"Two people have to go back to 2035." James declared.
"Not me!" Pym shouted.
"Karen, override Pym and Francis' suits." Peter said to his A.I.
"Ok, Peter." Francis and Pym's suit beeped.
"Come on-" Francis said as the two were sent forward in time.
"Let's go." Morgan said as they traveled to 1945. The four Avengers arrived in a large plane. Peter saw the tesseract in a container on an elevated platform in the center of the plane. A man with a skull-like face with red skin was driving the plane. It was Red Skull. Peter silently opened the container and Morgan turned her left gauntlet into large pliers to hold the Tesseract and the four shrank and traveled home.
Meanwhile, Toruun, Azari, and Elodie arrived in Asgard.
"Wow. This place is awesome!" Elodie exclaimed as she looked around the large castle. Azari and Toruun both shared a glance. That might have been the first time they heard her talk.
"It's nothing compared to Wakanda." Azari bragged. "We have large forests and high-tech cities and holograms!"
"We need to find the reality stone, so we better not waste our time." Elodie answered.
"This is my home." Toruun said to herself in awe. This time Azari and Elodie shared a look.
"We can't let anyone see us." Azari explained. "And Thor and Rocket of 2023 should be around here too."
"My FATHER IS HERE?" Toruun exclaimed.
"You weren't listening back at the facility were you?" Azari groaned. In a flash, Toruun flew away in search of her father.
"I'll get her!" Azari said. "Get the reality stone!" Elodie took off and remembered Rocket's instructions. A woman named Jane Foster was possessed by something called the Aether which contained the reality stone. She took out the device that Rocket told him would drain the Aether force from her body. Jane Foster was sleeping on her bed and Elodie took a deep breath and covered his mouth just as he saw Rocket of 2023 approaching the woman. Quickly, Elodie put her hands on Rocket's head and used her powers and the space racoon fell to the ground unconscious. Then she approached the sleeping Jane Foster.
Toruun had forgotten about her mission. She hadn't been to Asgard since she was a newborn. Her father had told her many stories of Asgard. Toruun landed on a balcony and looked out at the beautiful kingdom of Asgard. She backed up into an old man in kingly clothes. The old man had a long white beard and an eyepatch on one of his eyes.
"Sorry, I must be getting along." Toruun quickly said. "I'm one of the Av- I'm one of the Valkyries! I've come to-"
"You aren't a Valkyrie young one." The old man, who was Odin, the king of Asgard said. Toruun realized that the man was Odin. Her grandfather.
"You're not from here, I presume?" Odin answered.
"No." Toruun said as she suddenly was overcome with emotions and started to tear up. "It's actually you, grandfather."
"You are not from time." Odin told her. "Why are you here?"
"I cannot say, or I could ruin this timeline."Toruun answered. "You cannot tell anyone that I am here."
"Toruun! Where-uh-" Azari stammered as he saw her with Odin. "My apologies."
"I must go." Toruun said as she joined Elodie and Azari and they were whisked away.
Finally, the Next Avengers had collected the six Infinity Stones.
Au Revoir mes amis! (Goodbye my friends) I really need to work on my french. Next update will be next week for the Next Avengers. Don't worry, Thane is coming back. In fact, I forgot to mention that Thane is not my OC. Thane is the inhuman son of Thanos from Marvel Comics.
