Bible Teaching:

Matthew Jesus and Divorce

Welcome brothers and sisters to another chapter in Jesus times. Now many of you are wondering why Jesus has some talk about this, or wondering what he meant for us to understand. The first to understand is how God wanted both man and women to be together, it's a symbol of how while we give in to marriage that God wants to be in our lives. In the new Testament there is a parable of 10 Brides, the story goes that 5 of them had kept their candles lit while the other 5 didn't. This is meant for us to understand that God is the Bridegroom that will one day return in our lives, and all of us are the brides that are meant to wait for his return. How it ends is 5 of them had prepared themselves for God, the other 5 didn't as they allow their fires to go out.

Now the parable can have different meanings, but if this was used for any other reasons it would be that God wants to be in our lives, yet are we allowing him to enter our lives without any secret or things hidden? The bond in marriage in both physical and spiritual are both almost similar, for our bodies it's the idea of having family, raising children and teaching them of what we should be and what we shouldn't in God's name. For the Spiritual it's our bond with God through Christ, our sins being washed away and returning to our heavenly father on this life and one day towards the next. This is important because as Christian our lives should be willingly to connect with not only family and friends, but our willingness to have fellowship with others. Many of this has to do with our relationship with Jesus, for like a marriage we are suppose to be as one body in Christ.

While Jesus has made said about Divorce, it's only because of how many of us act with our wives and husbands at times. Many times if our marriage doesn't go our way we like to divorce that person. Then there are times when we have some commitment to our wives and husband, yet one point wanted to experience that feeling of passion all over again. In this Jesus has mention if we have divorce for Fornication meaning intercourse with other unmarried people, or had moment of adultery with others that are married it's sin.

Jesus goes more then this, he also says much about how we should be mindful of our words. Folks I can honestly says we're bad at this part, we say "Hey I will work on this tomorrow" or "Sorry I'm late next time I'll be on time". This has been said in our life one point or another of making promise, swear, or oaths. Yet we don't keep them, or we have deny these claims. Christ Jesus has much to say in this, most is summed up in God would have us say fewer words then much more. For if we say too much, then it's the works outside of God. Take heed that one day, all of us will be seeing God when our time is up. And when he see us, God will examine all of our lives, what we said, what we did, and much of everything that has happen or had done until our deaths.

Folks I say this in compassionate love to be warned of what our choices are and how we respond or act on them. I tell you this because before writing Bible Teaching, there was something that has been hanging over my life. And this can happen at any moment even in this day now, and I say with warning that if you have acted on something that God is displeased, or acted as secret sin. God will know of this, and he will know what you have swore, what you promise and everything that you say when you didn't fulfill or acted on them. If we're reborn Christian, we need to be mindful of our actions and deeds, for God is always knows what we have done and when we gave into sin. I'm not saying we aren't forgiven when this happens, I'm warning as fellow brother to all be very mindful of your words.

Near the end of Matthew 5:43-48, this here is when Jesus talks about love your enemies and do good for them. Christ Jesus isn't saying we shouldn't conformed, but instead love them as our neighbors. In this he means while we can loves our family and friends, so can others without Christ in name. To be followers of Christ Jesus, we have to be willing to talk and care of those we either think is strange, weird, enemies or someone we personally hate. If we are Christian, and yet have someone we dislike or have no communion with them, how are we followers of Christ if we're not willfully talking to them in love and compassion. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not say we should just talk out of nowhere with people, but more so that we shouldn't hold grudges, have unforgiving feelings towards people, if we look at how Jesus lived, our way of thinking and own strength is nothing compare to what God can do in our lives.

Many here are either fanfic readers or writers we have some favorite series from anime/manga, cartoons, books, video games, movies and so on. Now if we were to use any of the fictional characters as some example of how we should live. How many of us are willing to admit or say that the characters of the MC or others when faced a problem involving people that are labeled villains and bad guy. When was the last time any of them had the heart to forgive or willing to care for the others well being? And I don't mean this as after fighting, I mean before fighting or trying to throw the first punch? While I do enjoy the Adventure and action in series, I cannot deny what they are and how they are presented. These days while I still watch to these genres, but is mindful what they place in them. Some like comedy seems to get away with things that God will hate if we watch them. The point being while we should always talk and act with kindness towards people, we should also represent that in our daily living and what we have as our own in rooms or house. I still like some of them, but have to be careful how much free time on somethings or what I watch or entertain. Cause rather we like it or not, some of them are what hate disproves in our lives. We may think it's okay, but if you have those moments, ask yourself this "Did you created the universe? Were you there at the Garden when everything was created?". Cause while we think we know better, know that God is the one that started everything and will end everything when that time is right. But know many who believe in Jesus and lived as we are commanded, we are redeemed and have salvation in our lives. But those who live the unbelief will be left in the lake of fire.

In Matthews 6:1-7 Christ Jesus is here talking about how we should be either public or private in our lives. This involves how we present ourselves as Christian and as Followers of Christ. Here he talks about how we shouldn't just pray out in the open for boasting or how we should pray in secret with our father in secret. This shows that in his times the Pharisees and Scribes back then had this practice that made them feel good in themselves. Here we hear Jesus says about the rewards, both from men and from God. He speaks to us by saying if we seek Heavenly rewards, we should be taking our time to seek him in private and not in public. Christ Jesus made himself as the example as when he needed the time with the heavenly father, he would walk away by himself even without the disciples and pray to God. We should practice this as our daily prayer is THE most important daily life as Christian. In fact I could say that praying for repentance is the first step towards our sanctification, our willingness to turn away from sin and seek the life that Jesus died for our sins. However, if we pray because we want to look good in front of people, that is a sign of an false Christian and how someone just wants attentions. Now I won't point fingers or say what anyone did wrong. If I were to act like the Judge, I would commit a sin against Christ, for only one Judge will exist and always be number one judge, and that's God the father. So if anyone ever did this by mistake or desire to be with Christ, take this time to re-examine yourself and seek God in private for his guidance or ask someone that knows. This will make your life as Christian much more rewarding. Don't except results instantly, we need patients, stillness, and quietness in our lives. This helps because in order to seek god, we need to wait on his timing, be still in our time of prayer, and quiet our minds from thoughts or anything that is of this world. Mediate on the words from the bible and listen on what God has to say.
