John watched as the wolf ran up to Rachel, he was about to throw his knife and kill the thing when he noticed a blast of light cut the wolf's mouth off, the animal let out a cry of pain before it fell dead.
He could hear his help screen ring every time he killed one of the wolves, what it meant didn't matter at the moment, he would figure it out later right now he just needed to survive.
He wanted to get closer to Rachel, but every time he managed to step back just a little the wolves would attack with even greater strength.
John had to remind himself that the animals probably saw him moving back and believed that he was trying to run away and decided to keep on attacking until he was finally broken.
A yellow light began to shine and John noticed that Blue was holding something in the palm of his hands, whatever the boy held fired itself into the sky and began to bounce off every wolf that was around ten steps away from them.
He watched as Blue fell and with a loud thump his body landed on the wet ground.
John prepared himself for the worse, there was no way he could fight off the entire pack and keep the two kids with him alive.
He listened and hoped to hear the beasts moving, or at the very least he hoped to hear their growling, but there was noting just quiet.
"Congratulations, your team passes"
"You may enter the town," a man said to John
John looked around but failed to see who was talking, that is until he decided to look up and he found a man standing just out of arms reach above him like if it was nothing.
"What do you mean pass?" John asked the man
"It's just as you heard soldier, this was all a test to see if you and your friends would survive going deeper into the castle," the man said as he vanished from sight, despite never moving a single part of his body
"Think of it this way, if you had failed here, then you would have died literally anywhere else beyond this point. For even opening a door could and would kill you" The man said to John, and John had to control himself as he had just staved the man in front of him the moment he had appeared.
"Confused as to why I'm not dead, you'll understand as you go deeper into the castle," the man said as he snapped his fingers and sent the team away.
"What do you desire, is it riches- power- perhaps something or someone"
"The castle does not deny anyone their wish, the question is can you keep your wish safe from those that will take it from you," the examiner said to himself as he looked at something that wasn't there.
He walked around the open field and looked at the area one of the wolves had died in.
He stopped walking and leaned down.
"Tell me little one what's your wish?" he asked Baam, who had seen the entire fight alongside everyone that was inside the second floors waiting room.
The man looked side to side as he tried to look into Baams eyes, despite the man having his face covered by a white mask Baam would have sworn that the man was smiling.
Baam didn't react even as the man leaned forward and whispered to his ear.
"Rachel"
Baam felt his eyes widen but the moment he was bout to say something the man vanished from sight.
"Interesting he could sense us, but he couldn't see us," the examiner said as he walked into the room.
"Whatever or whoever those people are, they seem to be merging with the inner tower, I wonder what he meant about the castle," the examiner said as he began to call names

"So who was she?" Khun asked Baam
"She is the reason I started climbing the tower" Baam answered Khun
Kuhn leaned back and placed his hands behind his back so he didn't fall on the floor.
"So how did she end up over there?" Kuhn asked Baam
Baam lowered his head and looked at the white floor "She vanished in front of my eyes"
"And now you're trying to get her back or meet up with her" Kuhn said as he listened to Baam
He looked at the white ceiling and listened to the names being called sometimes a single person was called, other times entire teams were called.
Kuhn closed his eyes and tried to understand his teammate, suddenly he found himself inside a completely dark room without any sound, all around him were people that he had never seen before.
He watched as several massive creatures lowered themselves from above, he would have said that they floated down from the sky but this place didn't have up or down.
"You have all been discarded"
"We offer you a chance to prove yourselves, continue doing what you have been doing or risk yourselves withing our domain," all of the creatures said at once
"We can't climb the tower anymore," a man said to the creatures
"And who told you that lie" the creatures answered the man
"Behold," the creatures said as a massive castle in the sky was shown to all of the people
"Climb one floor in one and you will climb several in the other, where they meet you can rise," the creatures said to everyone
"Can we refused?" Kuhn asked the creatures
"Its always been your choice" they all answered him at once
Kuhn opened his eyes and heard his team being called it was time for them to be tested
