Hello my wonderful readers,
First off, I would like to apologize to everyone that has been following this story since it's very early stages and thank you to everyone that has asked for updates. The fact that I keep getting requests to continue this story even up to this day is both humbling and heartbreaking. Unfortunately, this is a request that I cannot do.
When I made this story, I had meant for it to be very quick. I was going to have the characters jump around to different worlds, solve small problems from those worlds and then jump to the next. However, I didn't make any plans for which worlds they would go to, nor what problems they would solve. Even though I had no plan, I still wanted the problems to be interesting and unique. Interesting and unique do not make for fast storytelling and I immediately got overwhelmed with the standard I had created for myself. Thus, my love for this story dried fairly quickly. I kept trying to make it work, but without a clear plan in place I wasn't able to continue.
Also, since my last update something happened that broke my writer's spirit. The laptop I had for years, the one I put all of my story ideas and notes into since I was a teenager, crashed and everything on it was lost. My will to write disappeared and to be perfectly honest it hasn't come back yet. I'm slowly getting back to writing, but as of right now I still need a little bit of time.
I don't want you all to continue to wait for this story to continue, so this is my apology and basically story wrap up. If anyone decides to continue this story, or base their story on this concept of "joker clow cards" you are free to do so. Let's start with the little mermaid.
In this arch I was going between whether or not I was going to have the characters find the trident for King Trident, or have them break the other two out of the prison and move on. At the time, I was leaning more toward them finding the trident and having them meet more characters from the little mermaid, including Ariel and Prince Eric. I had planned for this arch to take place between the first movie and the second, with Ariel still pregnant with her daughter. The events of this arch were meant to solidify Ariel's insistence on her child not knowing of the mermaid world in the second movie. However, I couldn't figure out how to do that so this story kind of flopped. It was a start with no end.
The way this story was going to wrap up was Tori was going to realize his feelings for Kayla closer to the end of everything. Everyone was going to start to fade from existence because they were not in their own worlds. The timeline I gave for them to start fading was if they had been away from their worlds for one whole year. If they didn't return within the year, they would be gone forever starting with Kayla as she had been gone longer then the others from her world.
Much like a fanfic, when all hope seemed lost, Kayla was going to finally gain control of her own powers along with the power of the cards, and send them back to a world that they had already been to. With that, Kayla would get everyone home before the year was up and they would all be safe.
However, Kayla was going to make the decision to leave the cards with Sakura before traveling back to her own world. Even though she had changed the cards over to Kayla cards, she would command the cards to listen and stay with Sakura. Thus, after leaving, she wouldn't be able to travel anywhere again. In Kayla's mind, Sakura needed to have the whole deck of cards. She thought that having two masters for the same deck might affect the other cards. After a tearful goodbye to everyone and a heartbreaking goodbye to Tori, Sakura would use to cards to send Kayla home just before she disappeared. After returning home, she realizes that the time flow between her world and Sakura's world were different. Instead of being gone a whole year like she had thought, she had only been gone for half a year.
Tearful reunion with her family and all that warm stuff would follow, along with sadness of not being able to see her friends again. After about a month of living normally again, something reminds her of Tori and she breaks down in her room wanting nothing more than to see him again. As she cries, a light fills her room and Tori is there holding the two clow cards in his hands.
After they are reunited and all that entails with that, Kayla notices that the cards are still Kayla cards. Tori explains that after she left, the cards refused to work for Sakura again. The group tried to use them to go and see her, but they wouldn't work. The cards wouldn't even let anyone hold them for more than a few minutes. However, Tori was able to hold them so he kept them as a keepsake. The cards had chosen her to be their master, but they were waiting for her to call them back. When she cried in her room, she had unknowingly used her magic to summon the cards and Tori to her. Happy ending, she and Tori get to be together and they travel between both worlds periodically as to make sure neither of them disappear.
Once again, I am terribly sorry for not being able to keep updating this story. I hope that this brings a little bit of closure to this story for those of you still keeping an eye on it. If anyone decides to run with this concept, let me know cause I would love to read it ^^ I wish you all the absolute best and please take care of yourselves. I love you all.
