Here we are, Chapter 1! I hope it's good, today we see it from the perspective of Dawnlight, the mother of Starkit and Peachkit

"Rawr!"

Dawnlight, who had been heading into the Nursery with a mouse for her kits, jumped and dropped the mouse before she realized that it was Peachkit, who had, of course, been trying to startle her mother.

Dawnlight sighed, Why couldn't she just be a little bit more like her sister. "Peachkit", Dawnlight said in a stern voice, "what have I said about startling other cats?"

"You said not to!", Peachkit answered cheerfully, "but it's so fun!"

"Next time you do that there will be a punishment", Dawnlight said, before picking up her mouse and walked away, leaving Peachkit playing with the other kits in the Nursery.

Starkit, Dawnlight's other kit, was grooming herself when Dawnlight approached. Starkit always made her warry, although she couldn't explain why. Maybe it was the way she acted so perfectly, or the fact that she looked like no one in her family. Dawnlight was a reddish-yellow cat, their father, Duskfall, was a black cat, Peachkit had a blend of both of her parents being a cream colored she-kit, but Starkit.

Starkit was a silvery-white she-kit that almost radiated light. She had the clearest, lightest blue eyes of any cat Dawnlight had ever met, and the only similarity between Starkit and her mother was the fact they both had ear tufts. Other than that she look completely different. Which is why she named her Starkit, because stars are far away and mysterious, just like Starkit. In fact, it Dawnlight hadn't birthed her herself, she would have thought that Starkit was from a different family.

"Hello Mother", Starkit said looking up from her grooming. "I brought you and Peachkit a mouse", Dawnlight said, "Share nicely". Starkit blinked at her mother, "Of course"

I can't wait to get back to the Warrior Den again. Dawnlight thought, it wasn't just that she missed hunting and patrolling the Clan borders, although that was on her top 5 reasons to get back into the Warrior Den.

No, it was the fact that she didn't think she could handle any more of Peachkits' disobedience and Starkits' mysteriousness, Lucky for me their going to turn six moons old in a few weeks, then their Mentors can handle that. She honestly loved her kits, but it was stressful for her. I just hope that everything works out from here on until then.

I'm sorry for the short chapter! I'm very bad at writing long things! I hope you enjoyed it though! Much less dark then the Prologue if I do say so myself UwU
