Chapter 7 Awkward Conversations And First Day.
It wasn't exactly hard for Wyatt and George to get hold of Bianca and tell them where they currently reside. Nor was it hard for her to find the place. She didn't want to tell them about where she had been. That was a conversation between her and Chris to have alone. Once there, she asked if Wyatt and George could leave the living room, while she and Chris talked. Wyatt didn't want to leave, he wanted in on the conversation call him protective. However, he left the room with George. They went into the kitchen, closing the door behind them.
"Where were you earlier?" Chris asks.
"Doctors," Bianca answers as she paced around the room.
"Doctors why the doctors?" Chris asked, concerned for the welfare of Bianca.
"I'm pregnant, Christopher," Bianca answered, her voice small, unsure of Chris' reaction. Chris gasped, taking a few steps back.
"Y... You're pregnant!" Chris said.
"Yes, Chris, I'm pregnant," Bianca says.
"Pregnant… but how did that happen?" Chris stuttered.
"You, me two bottles of wine not so long ago," Bianca jokes.
"We're having a baby," Chris chuckled, walking close to Bianca who has stopped pacing back and forth.
"Yes, not exactly at the best timing though," Bianca replied.
"The baby comes from a long line of assassin witches and the Halliwell bloodline. I don't think the baby would ever be born at the best time," Chris says.
"Great, now she really is family," Wyatt whispered in the kitchen.
"Wasn't she already family?" George whispered back.
"NO! She wasn't they can break an engagement off. You can get a divorce if your marriage doesn't work out. They are having a baby together, they are bound by blood now," Wyatt explained, his voice still low to avoid Chris and Bianca from hearing.
"Have you ever thought they could be soulmates?" George asked.
"That would be hell if it were true," Wyatt answers. Their conversation went unheard by Bianca and Chris.
The day which George has been hoping would never come has arrived. His first day at Magic School. Maybe he wouldn't cross paths with Phoebe's girls if fate was on his side. And that his interaction with Miss Bone would be limited, hopefully, none. He guesses meeting his other cousins the Mitchell cousins might not be so bad. If they are willing to listen to his side and hopefully be on their side. Upon waking up the following morning, he heads to the bathroom. Taking a quick brisk shower, he then quickly brushes his teeth. Before returning to his room to get changed into some jeans, a t-shirt and shoes.
Downstairs, George finds to his surprise everyone else already up. He sees breakfast already laid out.
"You found that in my fridge," George commented, making his presence known, looking at the small breakfast table decorated with food.
"The gone-off milk yeah, everything else no," Wyatt said while sat down looking up from the open newspaper.
"Yeah, we were never great with the cooking, we mostly had frozen and microwaveable meals and takeout," George said.
"That explains the kitchen draw filled with nothing but takeout menus," Chris said.
"You should eat something," Wyatt advised.
"Nah, I don't eat breakfast, one less meal means less time at the gym," George replied.
"It's more unhealthy to have two meals a day than three. And have you ever been to a gym?" Wyatt said.
"Having one less meal means, I don't have to go to the gym," George replied, "You don't have gym class at Magic School, do you?"
"Not traditional gym sports, no," Chris answers.
"What kind of sports then?" George asked.
"You'll find out soon enough. You're going to need some potions to come and go," Wyatt answers.
"Lovely, I'll just have to hide during gym period," George mumbled.
It wasn't long before the time came for George to depart for Magic School. Something he now wishes he could get out of now. Chris handed George three potion vials. And instructed him on how they were used. George emerged from white smoke in one of the great and vast halls of Magic School. He told himself his first day at Magic School should feel magical, but it felt anything but magical. He guesses that he was forced to skip the fun part of magic when he was thrown into the magical world.
Come on, he tells himself, after he started walking. It can't be so hard finding your way around a new school. It's not like he hasn't been there at all. Walking proved to be no use as when he turned each corner. He found himself standing at the place he was transported to.
"Come on, come on," George said, as he continued walking back in the same loop. This had to be a trick, surely something petty.
"What is this?"
"Goddess of Crossroads, I call to thee, lend me, your guidance and set me free," George chanted. Looking down at his right palm, he sees a silver orb of light manifest out of nowhere. The orb of light fly's off his palm. Hovers around of him for a moment revealing a bubble which then bursts. The orb of light then vanishes sighing George then spots someone standing against a wall opposite him.
"Took you long enough," a girl said. She had to be around his age. She has blue eyes and long wild blond hair. She wasn't wearing anything special, just jeans, a t-shirt and boots.
"What was I just trapped in?" George asked.
"Nothing really, just a big loop spell. Students love placing them all over, especially when new students come. It's an easy trick to make people run late and a good way of testing students' knowledge and creativity," The girl explained.
"Lovely, just how late am I?" George asks.
"Give or take forty minutes, you'll have thirty-five minutes left off your first lesson," The girl answered.
"Know where Student Services is or whatever this school's equivalent is?" George asked.
"Follow me, I'm Rikki," The girl said before she started walking off.
Rikki didn't bother to look back as she guided George to student services. She just listened to his footsteps following her. She threw the odd, trivial fact about Magic School to George to make brief conversation.
"They found magic School after the misuse of magic, caused the destruction of Atlantis. Some Elder founded the school and served as the headmaster. Until the early two-thousands before he was killed by another Elder," Rikki commented.
"Some misuse of magic," George replied, "Why was the headmaster killed by another Elder?"
"Tried killing a baby. The other Elder was the father. It's not something we openly talk about," Rikki explained. Arriving at the reception.
"I can see why?" George said.
Taking his school planner off the receptionist. He examines the time table then the map of the school. And frowns, damn the writing was small.
"The map is enchanted, so you can always find your way. It can sense and help you avoid little traps set behind by students," Rikki explained.
"Potions, lovely," George sighed.
"I would hurry. You don't want to miss the casualties, there always some idiot who mixes the wrong ingredient causing an explosion," Rikki said. George just mumbled a thank you. Before setting off to class.
While walking in the direction of the class, George stops when he sees one of his half-cousins. This was the universe sending him a little bit of good luck. Or just to torment him. George runs to the said cousin, grabbing his left arm and pulls him into what he hopes to be an empty classroom.
"What the hell, George!" Henry Junior said.
"Sorry, Junior, but we need to talk and I haven't got a lot of time," George apologized.
"We're not getting involved," Henry Junior replied, bluntly.
"I'm not asking you to get involved," George said.
"Oh, aren't you, George," Henry Junior replied as he crossed his arms.
"Not necessarily, wait how do you know about little conflict?" George asked.
"People talk, P.J talked with Tamora earlier," Henry Junior answered.
"Lovely, just my luck, so I take it you've chosen their side," George assumed.
"We haven't chosen any side, this business is between you three and the girls," Henry Junior said.
"I get it, but witches have an obligation is to protect the innocent. And siding with them could compromise you as witches," George replied.
"Nice try, P.J told Tamora, how you banished Parker to some prison world place. How Wyatt somehow lost his powers ..." Henry Junior started.
"Parker was responsible for Wyatt losing his powers," George interrupted.
"And you're responsible for banishing Parker, look we'll happily help mediate between both sides. But we're not fighting either one of you. Now, have a nice day," Henry Junior said, before walking out of the classroom.
End of chapter 7.
