It was the morning after Lucifer had stood Chloe up at the steakhouse. Dr Linda showed him that the reason why he stopped 'looking' when he chose to stay in Los-Angeles is because he 'found' it. And realising 'who' it was, it caused him to panic and chicken-out.
On that very morning, he got on the elevator and on his way down, it stopped on Jophiel's floor.

Lucifer: What is it?

Lucifer: Well what?
Jophiel: You had a date. With Chloe! I overheard the two of you talking about it yesterday. So, tell me everything! What happened? How was it?
Lucifer: Well, it wasn't really a 'date'. It was more like… dinner between friends.
Jophiel: Okay, how was dinner with your 'friend' then? I hear the food supposed to be great.
Lucifer: Well, It's, it's hard say.
Jophiel: Aw, you were you too focused on her to notice the food?
Lucifer: In a way, I was focused on her.
Jophiel: (curious) Luci, you 'did' go to that restaurant last night, right?
Lucifer: um…
Jophiel: (releasing what really happened) *gasps* You stood her up, didn't you!
Lucifer: Well, I wouldn't put it like that.
Jophiel: Did you at least call her?
Lucifer: No…
Jophiel: (slips off her denim bag and starts beating Lucifer with it!) WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH YOU? HOW COULD YOU BE SO IN INSENSITIVE? HOW COULD STOOD HER UP LIKE THAT…
Lucifer: Ow, Ow Bloody Hell!
Jophiel: Don't ye know that women don't like being stood up! (she then stops beating Lucifer) It's one of the worst things to do to anyone!
Lucifer: Debatable, but I didn't stood up the Detective Joei. I just thought, she would prefer to eat alone. Without any distractions.
Jophiel: I thought ye don't lie Luci.
Lucifer: *snickers* I don't. How dare you?
Jophiel: Okay, here's what's going to happen. I'm taking the bus today. Your going to see Linda and hopefully, she'll fix whatever is wrong with that damaged head of yours. And then, your going over to Chloe's and your going to apologize your arse-off. Or I'm going to kick it there.
Lucifer: (slightly threatened)…Very well. Quite the negotiator.
Before continuing, they then realized, one of them forgot press the down button in the elevator. Afterwards, they exited LUX and went their separate ways. While Lucifer went to deal with his issues with Chloe, Jophiel did what she said she'd do and took the bus to the precinct. Granted, she had to walk the rest of the way, but it was only for ten minutes and she still arrived on time for work. When she arrived, she noticed Dan, 'whistling' and having a skip in his step. Ella noticed it too.
Jophiel: Morning Ella, 'morning Dan'. You seem awfully chipper this morning.
Ella: On a Monday no less.
Dan: (walking down the stairs with the girls) Yes I am.
Ella: Why? What's going on?
Dan: Why, do I need an excuse to be happy?
Jophiel: Huh, well, your whistling, ye have a skip in your step…
Ella: You've been working out lately too, (sniffs Dan's face) Musk scented aftershave. Did you, get laid?
Dan: (trying to deny it but his grin, said it all)…

Dan and the girls walked over to his desk, but Dan didn't recognize the return address. He then used his pocket knife to open the package. But laid inside…
Jophiel: *lightly gasps*
Dan: Oh, god, jeez.
Ella: (Put's on her gloves) Well, I wish I could say this was my 'first.'
Jophiel: Really? This type of thing has happened to you before?
Ella reached into the package and pulled out, A HUMAN HEAD! And not just any head, the head of the Russian mobster, Boris!
Jophiel: And here, I thought humans stopped doing this sort of thing in the 19th century.
Dan: That's Boris. Chloe's gonna loose it.
# That's when I remembered what today was. Today was the first trial of Chloe's father's killer, Perry Smith. And Boris was going to testify as a key witness! Without him, the whole trial could fall apart and Perry Smith will walk free!
To make matters worse, 'Charlotte Richards' volunteered to be Perry's attorney. Even though Goddess is the one in Charlotte's body, she still has prior knowledge about law and court from spending a whole weekend studying all her law-books.
Later on, the trail was put on hold, giving Chloe enough time to come back to the precinct. Hoping to find Boris' forensic report. Thankfully, Ella and Jophiel were already going over it. Even though, it wasn't Chloe's case, she was still freaking out. If they don't find new evidence A.S.A.P. a cop killer will get away with it. By the time Ella and Jophiel came into the lab with new results, they heard Chloe mention Charlotte being Perry's Lawyer…
Dan: Charlotte Richards, is defending Perry?
Chloe: Yeah.
Jophiel: What, why would she take this trial?
Chloe: Because it's what she's best at. Helping criminals get away with everything.
Ella: Really, she's that good?
Jophiel then notices Dan looking a little, 'guilty.'
Chloe: Yes, she's the best. Which is why, it would be helpful if we could… well, if the two of you could tie Perry to Boris' murder.
Jophiel: Well, good news, we might have found something.
Dan: Really, what you girls find?
Ella: Okay, well, Motive and M.O. line up. Boris' tongue was cut out. So the killer was clearing sending a message…
Jophiel: Loose lips, get their head clipped.
Chloe: Perry did this so Boris couldn't testify, I know it.
Jophiel: Which only proves of what he truly is, a coward.
Ella: Yeah, but, hasn't he been behind bars since you arrested him?
Dan: Yeah, but he could've orchestrated it in prison. It's also his M.O.
Chloe: Exactly, and if Perry is good at anything, it's making other people pay for his crime.
Ella: Okay, well, whoever Perry hired to do this was one sharp dude. The cut on Boris' neck is extremely precise. I'm thinking industrial-size professional slicer.
Jophiel: Like the one's in a butcher's shop?
Ella: Exactly.
Dan: (turns to Chloe) Listen, I'm going to do everything I can to find him. Even if I have to interview the owner of every single meat slicer in L.A.
Ella: You won't have to. There was also non-human DNA on Boris. Swine, to be exact. A unique cross-bred for it's delicious meat. And, there only place that sells it.
# While Ella and Dan went to the location of Boris' beheading, I volunteered to go to the court house with Chloe. For support and to maybe give a statement. I was there when Chloe was looking through the case files her father was working on and I witnessed Maze bring in Perry and heard him admit to murder. Hopefully it will it be enough evidence. Plus, I want to know what Mam is up to. First she threatens to blow up LUX and now she's defending that murderous coward, she's definitely up to something and I want to know what.
On their way to the courtroom, Chloe and Jophiel met up with Lucifer…
Lucifer: Ah.
Chloe: Hi.
Jophiel: Hey.
Lucifer: Jophiel, what are you doing here?
Jophiel: I'm here for support and to give a statement. I witnessed everything, so, I should be able to help with this trial.
Chloe: Which is sweet, but the two of you really don't need to stick around. Trails can be so boring.
Lucifer: Well, not this one.
Chloe: What do you mean?
Jophiel: What did you do?
District attorney: Mr. Morningstar, We're ready for you.
Lucifer: Wonderful, lovely, right. (turns back to Chloe and Jophiel) Off I go to shield you from that Quid Pro Ho, Detective.
Chloe: Lucifer, what are doing?
Lucifer: Well, I figured there's no reason to lose our heads, just because Boris lost his.
# Chloe and I were very concerned about what Lucifer was about to do. So we followed him into the courtroom, took our seats next to… Penelope Decker (Chloe's Mam)! I'm a huge fan of her sci-fi films.
Jophiel: Oh my Goodness, your Penelope Decker. Hi, I'm Jophiel. (offers her hand for a handshake)
Penelope: Hello. What an interesting name. (shakes her hand) Chloe do you know her?
Chloe: Yeah, Mom, this is Jophiel Dina. She the forensics' assistant, Sketch artist and Lucifer's sister.
Penelope: Really. Well it's nice to meet someone who's as lovely as your brother.
Jophiel: Thank you. (see's Lucifer on the stand!) And, speaking of my brother.
It was then revealed that Lucifer had volunteered to give his own statement on the stand…
Lucifer: (under oath) I swear, to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth. So help me Dad.
District Attorney: Mr. Morningstar, you were there when Boris was arrested right, working with Detective Espinoza?
Lucifer: That is correct. Expect I call him Detective Douche.
(Half of the courtroom giggles, as does Jophiel)
Lucifer: But, that's another story.
District Attorney: So, would you please describe to us, what happened?
Lucifer: Yes, I'd love to actually, may I have the floor?
District Attorney: By all means.
Lucifer: Thank you. (he then stands up ready to give his story when…) I'm going to need… (looks to one of the women on the jury stand) Hello, may I burrow your scarf? (the woman, 'gladly' give's him her scarf)
Charlotte: Your honour, is this necessary?
Lucifer: Well, you want the full story don't you? I mean, the Devil's in the details. (takes the scarf) Thank you so much.
# From there, Luci wrapped the scarf around his waist and told and even re-enacted everything that happened with Boris and the case. He basically covered everything, it was very impressive. Especially when he finished the story and Everybody in the courtroom (expect Mam and Perry) Applauded him for his 'performance.' I even saw a couple of people give him a standing ovation.
After giving his testament, Lucifer gave the woman her scarf back and sat back down on the stand, awaiting more questions.
District Attorney: Thank you Mr. Morningstar, what a, vivid picture. It's almost as if Boris himself just testify.
Judge: except a more 'handsome' version.
Lucifer: Oh, stop it Judy.
Jophiel: (smiles while rolling her eyes)
District Attorney: Thank you.
Lucifer: Right, actually, I would like to add one more thing…
Charlotte: I think we've had enough your honor…
Judge: Shh. (turns to Lucifer) Please, continue this, Mr. Morningstar.
Lucifer: Thank you my darling. (faces the rest of the courtroom) Yes, I just like to say, for the record, the L.A.P.D and, Detective Decker in particular. Acted impeccably on this case. This whole courtroom, na, this entire city, can rest assure that someone as honest, trustworthy and reliable as Detective Decker is out there, protecting them. She is, 'truly good.' And I don't mean in bed, I wouldn't know. That's how good she is.
District Attorney: Thank you. Miss Richards, your witness?
Charlotte: I have no questions at this time.
# Hearing Luci say all those, wonderful things about Chloe, made me see how he truly feels about her. Even though I'm still cross with him for standing her up, I'm starting to see why he did it. And I think our mam could see it too. The bigger question is, does Chloe feel the same way about Lucifer?
(The next morning in the courtroom)
Hairstyle: Let down with a white-cream, lily flower hairclip
Top: Magenta T-shirt with scooped neckline + Purple denim jacket

In the courtroom, Jophiel and Dan were giving their statements…
(Jophiel's testimony)
District Attorney: Miss. Dina. You work as the forensics' assistant, correct?
Jophiel: Yes, I'm also a sketch artist and I started over a month ago.
District Attorney: And you also claim to have been a witness to this whole case?
Jophiel: Yes, I'd be more than happy to tell you everything. But I doubt I'd be good as Mr. Morningstar's testament.
District Attorney: Please, just tell us the way you see fit.
# I then gave my testament, I told them everything I knew about the case. How I helped with the Case files, what Perry said to Chloe after Maze captured him, etc. when I was done, I didn't get an applause, but I did I get a 'thank you' from Chloe after I sat back down. Afterwards, Dan took the stand, and give his testament.
District Attorney: And, what did Boris say when you interrogated him?
Dan: He confessed that he routinely paid fall guys for the Russian mob that owns the prison, where the defendants worked since the 90s.
District Attorney: And is there anything else 'remarkable' about the prison?
Dan: It is the very prison whose corruption John Decker was investigating when he was murdered 16 years ago.
District Attorney: Holy Cow. It's so coincidental, isn't it? Just like the odd timing of Boris' murder. I withdraw that, your honour. No further questions. Thank you, Detective.
Charlotte: I have no questions for this witness.
# Before sitting back down with the rest of us, Dan looked at Mam in a 'strange' way. Almost as if he 'really' wanted to beat her at this trial.
District Attorney: The prosecution rests, your honour.
Judge: Your turn to shine Mrs. Richards.
Charlotte: As it's first witness, the Defense would like to recall Lucifer Morningstar.
Jophiel: (whispers to Lucifer) Why does she want you to go up for?
Lucifer: (get's up) Oh, it's fine.
Charlotte: Just one small question, Mr. Morningstar. And please remember that you're still under oath. Who was first on the Fields crime scene?
Lucifer: Detective Decker.
Charlotte: Are you sure? How do you know?
Lucifer: Quite sure. Yes, she told me.
Charlotte: It's kind of strange, isn't it, for the man accused of killing of John Decker to be found dead by Decker's own daughter, Chloe Decker?
District Attorney: Objection, your honour. Relevance?
Charlotte: I'm getting to that. (grabs a sheet and give's it to Lucifer) Would you please read who, according to the official police report, was the first officer on the scene?
# Chloe looked very nervous and her mother could tell too. when she asked her, Chloe said, 'I'll tell you later.'
Lucifer: (reads the sheet) Well, it says Detective Espinoza.
Charlotte: I thought you said Chloe Decker was an impeccable detective…
District Attorney: objection, your honour!
Lucifer: No, I, I'd like to answer that. She is. That's why she took off the investigation immediately.
Charlotte: But not until after she'd 'found' her dad's killer dead?
District Attorney: Objection!
Charlotte: What is he objecting to, air quotes? I'm simply stating that if what we just heard is true, then there is a very plauseable alternative story to the one the state is presenting. Chloe Decker had motive, opportunity, and the L.A.P.D. to protect her and help her frame an innocent man for her person vendetta.
District Attorney: With all due respect, your honour, Chloe Decker is not on trial here.
Charlotte: And my client shouldn't be, either. Because it appears he is the victim of the L.A.P.D.'s incompetence. (turns to Lucifer) Unless, of course, the report is right, and it is 'you' that is lying, Mr. Morningstar?
Lucifer: What your implying is preposterous. The Detective would never hurt anyone. But yes, what I said is the truth. Under oath or otherwise, I don't lie.
# I can't believe Mam just put Lucifer on the spot like that, tried to call him a liar and Chloe a murderer. And the only reason she's doing all of this is so Luci will agree to go back to Heaven. Luci told me this morning on the elevator, how her first plan was to blow up Chloe! Thankfully, Amenadiel talked her out of it. And now she's defending that scumbag to show that Lucifer and Chloe don't belong together.
# And after that little show in the courtroom, her plan was working. When the trial was put on hold again, I saw a furious Chloe leave the room and honestly, she was looked quite scary. But that didn't stop Luci from following her out.
When everyone was outside, Jophiel saw Charlotte, walked down the steps, ready to confront her…
Jophiel: Mammy.
Charlotte: Oh, hello Jophiel. Is something wrong?
Jophiel: Yes! Of course there is. Mammy, how could put Luci in the corner like that? And how did you know about Chloe being at that crime-scene?
Charlotte: Well, lets just say, I have a 'reliable' source. And as for Lucifer, I'm just trying to help him.
Jophiel: 'Help him?' How?
Charlotte: That Chloe Decker, is the reason why Lucifer won't go home with us. I thought blowing her up would do the trick, but Amenadiel said it wouldn't have worked.
Jophiel: Yeah, Luci told me about that this morning. It defiantly wouldn't have worked.
Charlotte: So, I decided to take this trail and show your brother the truth. That he and that human aren't meant for each other and once he sees it, he'll get over his crush and come home where he belongs.
Jophiel: It's not a crush Mam. And he's not going back to heaven, and neither am I.
Charlotte: Jophiel, you are one of my youngest children. I just want to do what is best for our family. (stroke's Jophiel's cheek)
Jophiel: If that were true, you wouldn't have taken this trail. (gently grabs her mothers wrist and moves it away before walking away)
(Back at the penthouse)
Lucifer, Jophiel and Maze were waiting for Dan to come by with a new lead while discussing the issue with the trial and their Mam…
Maze: 'Mommy dearest,' tried to kill Chloe.
Lucifer: Oh, I understand, she told me.
Maze: She Did?
Lucifer: Yes, were past that. What I don't understand now is, how the Detective can think 'I'm' the one who leaked sensitive information to my Mum. How could she?
Maze: Yeah, Chloe's the bad guy.
Jophiel: (sitting across from Lucifer) Well, when I talked to Mam earlier, she said she had a 'reliable source' or something.
Lucifer: mmm, if only I knew who really gave Mum that information.
The elevator dinged and Dan came walking in…
Maze: (realizing where Charlotte got the information) Right, if only.
Lucifer: Oh good, you came.
Maze: Yes he did. Thanks for coming Dan, anything 'up' lately?
Dan: I don't know, you tell me. (turns to Lucifer) Lucifer called me here.
Jophiel: Really?
Lucifer: Yes, well, I was thinking as my testimony didn't go quite as planned, that it might help fix things to prove that Perry was behind Boris' killing.
Dan: Already working on it man.
Lucifer: Fantastic. Well then, please tell me you some scintillating Cop-speak on to accomplish that tiny task.
Dan: uh Well, the guy who chopped off Boris' head had this scar, (shows a picture on his phone) It's actually a brand. Signature of the Alhambra Triads, they're a Chinese crime syndicate. Lot's of them were in the prison Perry ran. Triads hate the Russians, so make sense to pit them against each other.
Maze: Yeah, you should definitely 'probe' this angle.
Dan: Rumours are they use a Chinese cultural centre as a front.
Lucifer: Right. Well, let's start there then, shall we?
The four of them were about to make their way towards the elevator when…

Out of pure disgust and rage, Lucifer pushed Dan through the thin doors behind them. Causing them crash and fall into a large room filled with armed gunmen. Which, Lucifer blamed Dan for.
# I still, can't believe Dan… slept with… my MAM! On the outside, I was mostly throwing-up in my mouth. On the inside, I screaming like a woman in a horror film.
Still being held at gunpoint, Lucifer and Dan, rose from the floor and Dan tried to take his gun out when…
Lucifer: (stops Dan) Da-da… don't be a Dan. I'll deal with this. (turns to the gunmen) Right, which one of you chaps is in charge? (no answer) oh, very well. (Lucifer than started speaking Chinese)
Dan: You speak Chinese? What…?
Lucifer: I'm the Devil. Of course I speak Chinese. I speak everything.
# Luci is so lucky. He speaks 'every' Language, I can only speak 70.
It was then revealed that the leader of the triad, was a woman. So, Lucifer continued to speak Chinese while also, making a deal.
Dan: What's he saying?
Maze: No idea.
Jophiel: He's explaining why we're here and offering a deal… (looks away from Dan) I'm sorry, I just can't look at you right now.
Dan: Uh, wait, you speak Chinese too?
Jophiel: (still avoiding eye-contact with Dan) Yes. But unlike Lucifer, I can only speak 70.
Dan: What…?
Lucifer: (walks back to the others) Okeydokes, I think I've brokered a fair deal. Madame Li, is gonna to give us the man who killed Boris. All we need to do is defeat Kang.
Dan: And who the hell is Kang?
Kang, was revealed to be, a tall, scary man with two very sharp blades.
Dan: (Laugh/chuckles) And who's supposed to fight him? (At first, Dan thought Lucifer was pointing at him) Oh Hell No!
Jophiel: *Snickering*
Lucifer: No, no, I much as I like to see, 'crouching tiger, hidden douche,' I'd actually like to win this. I was pointing at Maze.
Maze: Why Not.
Dan: Okay, sure. She's terrifying. But what happens if we lose.
Lucifer: They kill us. Well, you. Cause I'm immortal. Right, shall we?
# Even though it was pretty much 'Dan's' life on the line. I wasn't too worried about losing the fight. Because Kang's opponent was Mazikeen. And trust me, if you think about putting up a fight with her…Don't. All Luci, Dan and I had to do was sit back and watch as Maze took Kang down with his own blades.
Lucifer: (whistles) Down, girl.
Maze: (still holding Kang ay blade-point) Are you Serious?!
Lucifer: well, I mean, you did get two new toys.
Maze: (release's Kang from the hold)
Madame Li: Well that sucked. But a deals a deal.
Lucifer: Indeed.
Madame Li: The one you seek was banished for working outside the family. We don't break bread with strangers. (hands Lucifer an address note) You'll find him at this address.
Lucifer: (while bowing) *say's 'thank you' in Chinese'*
Madame Li: No problem.
Lucifer: (turns to Dan) See. Easy-peasy, Chinese-y.
With their lead, Lucifer, Jophiel and Dan went to follow it. While Maze left to go 'play with her new toys.'
When the three arrived at the address of Boris' killer…
Dan: Man, he better be here. if we can convince him to give up Perry, I won't feel so bad about sleeping with Charl….
Jophiel: (covering her ears) NOOOPE!
Lucifer: La la la! No more talk of that disgusting offense, please.
Jophiel: Yes, please.
Dan: (take's out his gun and torch before opening entering) I thought you said you hadn't slept with her.
Jophiel: Ewww, no.
Lucifer: I haven't, wouldn't ever. I'm just upset for the Detective.
Dan: What, you think I'm not? I would do anything to right this.
Lucifer: *sighs* I know you would.
Jophiel: Hey, there's a light-switch. (flicks it)
When the light's came on, they show a dinner table with two chairs and they were both seated.
Dan: L.A.P.D. Put your hands where I can see'em!
Unfortunately, when they got closer to the table, the found Boris' headless body and his killer with a bullet in his head!
Dan: Whoa!
Jophiel: Whoa is right.
Lucifer: Well, looks like we found Boris, and the head of the table, ironically.
Dan: And that's Da Young. I'd say we were right. Perry hired him to go behind the Triads backs to kill Boris, knowing that they'd punish him for it.

Without any new leads, the trail is over and Perry walks free. Unless Chloe gives her testament…
Charlotte: Detective Decker, Lucifer Morningstar is your partner, correct?
Chloe: Yes. He's a civilian consultant for the L.A.P.D. we work cases together.
Charlotte: And how is he qualified for this role?
Chloe: He is very, uh, intuitive. He, um, understands people's desires.
Charlotte: And in addition to that, I assume he studied law enforcement?
Chloe: ….Not to my knowledge, no.
Charlotte: Oh, okay. But he has a professional background, which is somehow relevant to Law enforcement?
Chloe: He owns a nightclub.
Charlotte: Okay, but then, I'm sure his previous job was more relevant to his role as a civilian consultant to the L.A.P.D.? Right?
Chloe: Mmm, well, if you believe his claims that he used to run Hell…
Charlotte: (chokes on her water)
Chloe: Then yes, he's accustomed to punishing bad guys.
Lucifer: (quietly whispers) It's true.
Charlotte: I'm confused, Detective. Are you suggesting your partner is delusional, or just lying.
# And that's when I saw it, the smug grin on Mam's face and the conflicted expression on Chloe's face. Mam most of offered her something, something that would help us win the trail. But it most come with a price. My guess, it involves a lie that could effect Lucifer.
Chloe: …Lucifer Morningstar is many things, but he is not a liar. Everything that Mr. Morningstar said on this stand is absolutely true. I was the first person on that crime scene. And yes, I shouldn't have been anywhere near it. But I…let my emotions get the best of me. Lucifer is the… Best partner, I have ever had. And I can only hope he can count on me as much as I count on him
District Attorney: Your honour, we request the jury be instructed to disregard Detective Decker's entire testimony.
Judge: We'll take a ten-minute recess.
# when everyone else in the courtroom left, I saw the way Chloe and Lucifer looked at each. I've seen that look Lucifer's face before, but not Chloe. And after hearing her say all those things about Luci, it just showed our mother what I already knew, that they both 'truly' care about each other and there's nothing they wouldn't do for one another.
# As for the trial, we lost. Perry was pleaded 'not-guilty.' I couldn't imagine what Chloe and her mother were feeling when the saw that scumbag walk away without handcuffs. Hopefully, Karma finds a way.
