Chapter 16

6 months after they got engaged, Beck and Jade were only a week away from becoming Mr. and Mrs. Oliver. And their week was crazy, but it was about to get a lot crazier.

For a few days, about 4, Jade had had weird bouts of nausea and she'd been craving milk, which is something she normally hated. She didn't think anything of it until she realized her period was late. The only time it had been late since college was when she got pregnant with Giselle. But she couldn't be pregnant, right? She and Beck were very careful. She was on the pill, and they used a condom every time. Just to be safe, Jade decided to go to the store and buy a few pregnancy tests.

Later that day, once Beck had gone to work, (he was working on show as a supporting character), and Giselle went down for her nap, Jade decided to take the tests. She went into the bathroom, took a few deep breaths, and then took the tests. Once she was finished, she set the tests on the counter and waited. Two lines means pregnant, she told herself, as she stared at the test, as if willing them to give her an answer quicker.

5 minutes later, and all of the tests were done. She flipped them all over.

Two lines.

Two lines.

Two. Lines.

It was safe to say she was pregnant. God, how was she going to tell Beck? They were only 21 years old. They had an 18-month old. They weren't ready to have another baby. Ready or not, though, this baby was coming.

When Beck got home, around 9, Jade greeted him with a nicely cooked meal.

"Hey, babe, how was your day?" Jade asked as Beck walked in, trying to act like everything was perfectly fine.

"It was great. We filmed some outside shots. We're about halfway through the episode. How was your day? I see you've been busy. You didn't have to cook me dinner."

"I know, but I thought it would be nice. And my day was good. Ellie went down for her nap this morning without any problems, and then after lunch we went on a walk in the park." Jade omitted the fact that she took three pregnancy tests and they all came back positive.

"That's great." He said enthusiastically, with his amazing smile plastered on his face.

"Is Ellie down for the night?"

"Yeah, she went down about 30 minutes ago. She actually didn't nurse tonight, which kind of made me sad." Her baby was growing up, and that hurt a lot more than she thought it would.

"Aw, she's growing up, babe. It's normal. She still loves you, and who knows, maybe she'll want to nurse tomorrow, or maybe she won't."

"Yeah. So, should we eat?"

"That's a great idea. What did you make?"

"Baked chicken, wild rice, and a salad." Jade listed, as they sat down at the table.

"Sounds yummy."

Most of their dinner was spent in a peaceful silence, which was relaxing for Beck, but extremely nerve wracking for Jade. She was going to psych herself out of telling Beck, she just knew it. She was so relieved when he finally said something.

"So, are you excited for the wedding this weekend?" Beck asked, looking up at her with a smile.

"Of course I am. I can't wait to be Mrs. Jade Oliver. Are you excited?" Jade replied, matching his smile.

"I'm very excited to get to call you my wife. I love you, Jade, and I always will. And I love the family we've made, even if it is a big unconventional."

Now's your time, Jade. Go for it.

"I hope you have room in your heart for one more, because," she carefully pulled one of the pregnancy tests and put it on the table in front Beck, "I'm pregnant." She stared at Beck's face, trying to see if he would have any reaction. He didn't for several moments, but then it clicked.

"We're gonna have another baby?" He asked, his eyes growing wider and his lips turning into a shocked smile.

"Yeah, we are. I just took the tests today. I haven't told anyone else yet. I figured you should be the second person to know, the first person I told. Are you ok with it?"

"Ok with it?" Beck stood up and walked over to stand in front of Jade. When Jade stood up, he wrapped his arms around. "Baby, I couldn't be happier. God, I love you so much." Beck placed a passionate kiss on Jade's lips, and then bent down and placed a kiss on Jade's lower abdomen where the baby was.

"Are we still gonna go on with the wedding?"

"Yes, of course. When we tell people about the baby, we'll just let them believe it was a honeymoon baby. They don't need to know anything else. Do you still want to go along with the wedding?"

"I've never wanted anything more in my life than to marry you, so, yes, I want to go on with the wedding."

"God, we're getting married and having another baby!" Beck exclaimed, picking Jade up and spinning hey around a few times.

"Beck, put me down before I throw up on you." Jade said, starting to get nauseous from the spinning.

"Right, sorry. I'm just so excited."

"I am too. Maybe you'd want to show me just how excited you are." She said, suggestively.

Beck didn't need to be asked twice. Needless to say, the night ended with half finished plates still sitting on the table and the soon-to-be husband and wife cuddled into bed together.
