Chapter 8
Stacy Smythe was a proud woman. She was proud of her 2-year-old son, who was growing into a feisty, little boy. She was proud of her husband, who was working on Wall Street, climbing his way up to be a very important person in the company.
She used to be proud of her little brother. It looked like he wasn't affected by the things that had happened in the Smythe household when they were both young. He was in a healthy relationship with a boy he knew from high school and it looked like they were happy.
Until they got the news he was arrested for domestic violence. While everyone in the family believed Sebastian, when he said he hadn't done so and his husband was lying, Stacy had made herself very unpopular when she defended Blaine Anderson.
The news that Sebastian had driven off the Hudson bridge a week ago, had shocked the whole family. It had been the second child of her parents to have died and Stacy was now left alone, both her little brothers dead.
It hadn't really sunk in yet, but then again, their family story wasn't normal in the slightest. That was why she was here. When Sebastian was still alive, Stacy had hoped her brother would have told his husband himself, why he acted the way he did when he started abusing him.
But now Sebastian was dead, he had chickened out when he was still alive. Stacy desperately felt it was her duty now to tell her brother's ex-husband, who was mourning in his own way, the story of the Smythe family.
"I'm so sorry to have come here, Blaine," the 30-year-old woman excused herself, while she moved into the house, ridding herself of her jacket and hung it on the coat rack. "You have a lovely home."
"Thanks," Blaine mumbled as he lead his ex sister-in-law towards the kitchen, where he offered her a drink.
When they were both sitting down, hands wrapped around a cup of steaming tea, Stacy looked properly at Blaine for the first time. His eyes had lost their sparkle, a sparkle she had noticed for a split second when he had opened the door earlier, but the way he was dressed was classy, like he wanted to impress someone.
"I bet you're wondering why I'm here," Stacy started as she worried her lip between her teeth, still looking at Blaine with sad eyes.
"Yeah…"
"Okay, um, as you might have known, I'm not proud of Sebastian," she exclaimed. "Ofcourse I'm sad he's dead, but when I heard he was charged for domestic violence and no one believed you… I did."
"I know, Stace." Blaine put his hand over hers, squeezing comfortingly. "You were there for me. I always thought you were very brave for standing up to your family like that."
"Good," Stacy nodded as she cleared her throat. "I always begged my brother to tell you things that happened in the past in our family. I started begging long before he started abusing you. I figured that if you knew, you could work together to make sure it wouldn't happen."
"What are you talking about, Stace?" Blaine looked at his ex sister-in-law with big eyes, tears sparkling inside his hazel eyes. It made Stacy gasp, she had always thought her brother's significant other was beautiful. She quickly pushed that thought back, not feeling like it was appropriate now.
"What I'm about to tell you is… what we dealt with in the Smythe household every single day when we were young. It continued on until the death of Sybren… I've wanted Sebastian to tell you, but he's not here anymore, so… I should tell you."
Stacy Smythe took a deep breath and looked at Blaine. When he didn't interrupt her, she took it as a sign to continue.
"You know my parents. They're proud people. They were members of the church, the country club and lived in a big house just outside New York City. As young kids, we were already left to wander through the big city. As the oldest, I was always very protective of my two brothers, and I looked after them when we were strolling around the neighbourhood…"
The woman took a break to take a sip of her tea and to collect her thoughts, trying to be as clear as possible for Blaine.
"Our parents were mostly gone for work, so we were mostly raised by the staff in our home. I didn't mind, because I saw my parents as cold people, but my two brothers were idolizing our parents. I had no idea why, but I didn't want to crush their spirits, so I left them in delusion…"
Stacy felt tears fall from her eyes then. She still blamed herself for not standing up to her parents… But what could she have done? She was only 10 when it had happened for the first time.
"Sebastian was 4 when it happened for the first time. He had ripped a very expensive jacket when he had played outside and when he came inside, tears in his eyes, my father beat him. Just like that. A boy of 4…"
Blaine's eyes widened as soon as Stacy spoke out the words. Stacy saw him tremble, but she wanted to tell him everything… He deserved the truth.
"That was the first time of many beatings. It wasn't uncommon for my father to beat all his children every single day… I was devastated. I tried talking about it to my mother, but she couldn't see how bad her husband truly was. I tried talking back to him, but it left me with even more bruises. So, to protect myself, I left the house at 18. I was broken inside, knowing I had to leave behind Sebastian and Sybren in this toxic household, but I didn't know how to protect them…"
Blaine was quiet, his eyes on the table in front of him, but Stacy was glad he wasn't breaking down… It meant he was still listening.
"I was so glad when Sebastian called, telling me he was sent off to a boarding school in Ohio. It meant one less brother for me to worry about being at home… Then I still had Sybren, and while I tried calling him every single day, sometimes twice a day, he slipped into depression. He killed himself a year after Sebastian had gone of to Dalton."
"He told me his brother was sick…" Blaine mumbled as he wiped his hands over his face.
"He was… in a way. It was a sickness of the mind, after all the physical and mental abuse he had received from our parents. He had hung himself inside his bedroom."
Blaine winced as he buried his face in his hands, shaking uncontrollably.
"I wished he told me…" Blaine whined as he stared at Stacy, who had a broken sparkle in her eyes.
"I get it, Blaine… That's why I begged him to tell you. I know it's more common for people who have been abused to start abusing their loved ones themselves… I was glad when years of your relationship lasted without any incidents… I had almost thought it would never happen, but then…"
"Why, after all that time?"
Stacy shrugged. "I don't know… Maybe a bad dream triggered him, or a particular thing you said or thing you did triggered him… I have no clue why after all that time. I'm so sorry, Blaine."
Blaine was falling apart across from him and it broke Stacy's heart, who always had a soft spot for her brother's boyfriend, later husband and another while later ex-husband.
"I thought you should know…" Stacy tried desperately to be there for Blaine, but she knew he would need someone closer to him to comfort him.
"Thank you…" but Blaine sounded too lost, too broken and Stacy wanted to make sure he would be okay. She had to go back to her son and her husband, but not before she would make sure Blaine would be with someone he truly cared for.
"Can I take you to see anyone? I'm so sorry, Blaine, but I have to go back to New York… Is there someone nearby who can stay by your side? I don't want you being alone right now."
Blaine, looking smaller than Stacy had ever seen him before, nodded and Stacy felt relief run through her body.
"Kurt… he's my neighbour, it's the white house on the left if you leave my house…"
Stacy nodded and made sure Blaine grabbed some overnight clothes and other necessities and within five minutes, they were on their way to Kurt's house.
"He's probably already asleep," Blaine whined, eyes hollow and voice soft.
"I don't care. He cares about you?"
Blaine nodded and he got a small smile around his lips. "He does, and I care about him. Hell, I think I even love him."
Stacy looked up at Blaine, surprisedly. But then again, it was almost 3 years ago since Blaine had stayed in the hospital after Sebastian's attack, when the cops had showed up to arrest Sebastian. Their divorce hadn't been finalized for that long, but Blaine hadn't felt love for her brother in a long time. It was only normal for him to move on.
"I'm glad to hear that, Blaine," and when they reached the front door, Stacy released Blaine from her grip and pushed the door bell, waiting patiently, while she heard shuffling from inside the house.
Blaine was whining next to him, probably ashamed to bother Kurt or just shaken up by the whole news, Stacy couldn't really tell.
The man Blaine loved then opened the door, eyes wide and mouth open, watching the scene in front of him.
"Hey, Kurt…" Stacy started, but Blaine then let out a loud whimper and fell into Kurt's arms. Kurt, looking surprised, caught the young man in his arms and started stroking his shoulder.
"Hey, hey, Blaine… I'm here, shh…" He whispered comfortingly, staring at Stacy and nodding in thanks. "I'll take it from here, thanks."
"Thank you," Stacy whispered back and they locked eyes, already feeling a bond because of one important thing they had in common: they both really cared about Blaine Anderson in their own way.
Kurt closed the door behind him, leaving an emotional Stacy behind, who turned around and called a cab from her phone, one who would take her back to the airport.

Kurt moved a broken and shaking Blaine upstairs, fishing the bag he had probably packed to stay over from his hands. He searched through the bag and found a fluffy looking pair of pajamas. It looked ridiculous and if the situation hadn't been so serious, Kurt would have laughed.
He turned on the shower to heat up, while he ushered Blaine inside the bathroom and started removing his clothes slowly and sweetly, constantly kissing the skin revealed.
Blaine was staring at his lover, breathlessly and emotionally, not able to speak out any words.
When Kurt removed Blaine's pair of underwear, he felt his companion grab his wrist.
"Will you join me?" Blaine asked, looking small and almost shy, which made Kurt love the man in front him even more. Yes, he was in love and he couldn't prevent it, even if he would try really hard.
"Ofcourse, darling," Kurt whispered as he motioned for Blaine to get in the shower. "I'll just undress and I'll join you in a minute."
Blaine moved inside the shower, but kept the door open a bit, so he could continue to stare at Kurt, who removed the pj's he was wearing and then joined his lover in the shower.
Kurt silently pushed at Blaine's shoulder, which caused him to stand with his back to Kurt. The chestnut-haired man grabbed a bottle of shampoo and put some on his hand and then proceeded to massage it into Blaine's curls.
Blaine let his head fall down, groaning, enjoying the pressure provided by Kurt's skilled hands. "Kurt, I…" he started, but he was shushed by Kurt.
"Shh, Blaine, you don't have to talk. Just let me pamper you. We will talk tomorrow if that is what you want."
xXx
Blaine shut up, letting the man he loved so much take care of him in a way no one had ever taken care of him. Not even Sebastian, before the abuse, would be there for him in such a way. Ofcourse, he was sweet, he was good in calming down Blaine, but never would he have pulled him into a shower like that, pushing away his own feelings in favor of Blaine's.
He was in love with Kurt and he wanted to shout it off the rooftops. But it also scared the crap out of him. The last time he had loved someone, it completely went to hell. If he would allow Kurt in his life like that, he could be in for heartbreak. He would always be wondering if Kurt would surprise him in a bad way, just like Sebastian did…
It wasn't fair to Kurt. Just because Blaine had been in one bad relationship, he now couldn't trust any other relationship. He desperately wanted to, though. If he wanted to trust anyone, it would be Kurt.
His mind was working overtime and it made his head hurt, so he decided to push back those feelings for later and make sure he would pay his full attention to sweet, amazing, wonderful, sexy Kurt.
He groaned as he felt Kurt's nails scrape his scalp, still washing his hair, while pressing soft kisses into his neck.
It felt like heaven and Blaine desperately wanted to stay on top of cloud nine for as long as possible.
Kurt moved down his body then, washing all the skin he reached thoroughly, pinching a nipple or licking a particular spot before covering it in loofah and Blaine was sure, then…
He felt so much for Kurt Hummel that he wasn't sure if he could ever fall out of love with him.
The way Kurt sat on his knees in front of Blaine, his breath teasing the sensitive skin down there, made Blaine's head swim and not think clearly. Before he knew it, he opened his mouth, three words tumbling out.
"Please, suck me…"
Kurt looked up, a glance of surprise mixed with longing in his shining, glasz eyes. "You want that?"
"Please," Blaine whined brokenly and steadied himself against the shower wall, shivering as he felt the cold tiles against his back and ass.
Kurt didn't say anything back, but he teased the skin around Blaine's cock with feather light fingers, letting them glide over his balls, the trail of hair leading down to his erection and before Blaine could even think about begging, Kurt had already swallowed him expertly.
Blaine let out a loud, broken moan as he sunk down the wall a bit, his knees in an awkward angle, but not wanting it any other way, because Kurt was sucking him off in such a delicious way, Blaine couldn't think straight.
The curly-haired man, a survivor of abuse, felt so many emotions at the same time. Sadness for the loss of a person he had once loved, anger at that same man for not being truthful about his past and the fact he had used said past to start abusing him, love for the man underneath him, doubt because what if Kurt would hurt him aswell?
Kurt pulled him out his thoughts with such a wonderful suck that it made Blaine's knees tremble and he couldn't even warn his lover before he emptied down Kurt's throat, shaking through his whole release.
"I'm sorry," he squeaked out as he sunk down the shower floor, closing his eyes and feeling himself getting surrounded by darkness.
Not even a minute later, he came up again, groaning as he opened his eyes. He was cradled in Kurt's arms, water still falling down onto them. Kurt looked at him in such a loving way that Blaine really couldn't stop himself blurting it out.
"I love you."
Kurt blinked, blinked some more and blinked again that Blaine was surely afraid he had broken the young man hugging him.
Fear overtook Blaine's mind, because what if he had read all the signs wrong? What if Kurt didn't really love him back? What if the man was only there because he liked taking care of people? He wasn't sure if he could handle any more heartbreak.
Blaine let out a sob and crawled away from Kurt, curling himself up in a ball, hugging his arms close to his body and started trembling, crying. Emotions swirled around in his head as he closed his eyes. Anything not to have to look at Kurt, who was staring at him with such a questioning glance in his eyes.
He had made it all up in his head. He had made himself fall and now Kurt would leave him and he would be back to being miserable, going to work, taking care of Sina and meeting up with his psychologist, but not really living. He had really started living ever since he had met Kurt.
Kurt would leave and take Blaine's heart with him, crushing it in his hands and dropping it on the floor, leaving it for Blaine to pick it up and glue it back together.
Only he had no clue how to glue it back together, not again.
"Blaine!"
The dark-haired man could hear a voice somewhere in the back of his mind, as the thoughts were pushing inside his head, begging to come out. Blaine tried pushing them back, as he heard an angelic voice cry out again: "Blaine!"
He came back with a gasp, eyes wide and staring right into Kurt's. Before fear could take him over again, he felt Kurt's soft hand cup his face and brought his lips close to his lips. Just as he was about to kiss Blaine, he whispered:
"I love you, too."
The kiss was beautiful and very uncomfortable at the same time. Blaine was sobbing and water was falling all around and they were on the ground and Kurt was still holding Blaine in an awkward way, but both boys didn't do anything to change it.
"You love me…" Blaine said, disbelief in his voice as they pulled back, breathless from the kiss.
"Yes… Are you okay with that?"
Laughter bubbled up inside Blaine's chest as all the other emotions he felt tonight were flushed down the shower drain and one very important emotion remained. Love. It overwhelmed him as he let out a laugh.
"Okay with it? I'm so happy I could cry."
"Oh, honey," Kurt laughed back as he kissed both Blaine's eyelids. "I think you've cried enough for tonight." He winked as he stood up carefully, turning off the shower and reaching his hand for Blaine, still on the floor. "Coming? I want to cuddle you."
Blaine nodded, because he couldn't deny Kurt anything, and he moved out of the shower, still holding Kurt's hand tightly as the latter grabbed two fluffy towels, wrapping Blaine in one.
"You're so amazing," Blaine exclaimed, sighing, because he still couldn't believe the person in front of him was real.
"Right back at ya," Kurt said with a wink and together they moved to Kurt's bedroom, naked, because why bother with pajamas when you can hug the one you love without any barriers?
As they lay down on Kurt's bed, they both sighed contentedly at the same time, then they snorted and they fell asleep, holding each other tight.
xXx
"Kurt's gonna hurt you…"
Blaine saw a large shape, far away, all dark, as he pinched his eyes, trying to make sense of the image in front of him.
"You've been abused, Blaine! How can you let anyone in after that? He's gonna hurt you at some point. Sebastian did the same. You trusted him aswell, but he still abused you. Kurt's gonna do the same…"
Blaine winced as he shook his head, bringing his hands to his ears, pressing down. "No…"
"Yes, Blaine," the shape grew a big mouth, grinning, revealing a set of sharp-looking teeth. "Don't trust him."
"I do trust him," Blaine mumbled. "I love him!"
"He's gonna hurt you, still. Just wait and see."
"NO!"
Blaine shot up in the bed, almost knocking Kurt off the bed with the impact, who woke up with a loud shriek.
"Blaine?" He answered tiredly, wiping his eyes.
"I have to go…" Blaine answered, the nightmare looked so real, was such a sharp contrast to last night, Blaine just had to go. He couldn't be around Kurt anymore. He would only hurt him and get hurt in return. He needed to go. What was he still doing here?
"Don't go, Blaine… I love you, remember?"
"No, you don't…"
"Blaine Anderson, you can't speak for me. You were happy last night. What happened?"
"Everything happened!" Blaine yelled and he saw Kurt shrink back in the bed. "I was in a loving relationship with an amazing man and suddenly he started beating me! How can I know for sure you're not gonna do the same?"
Kurt looked back at him with pain in his eyes, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Love is a risk, Blaine Anderson. I can only promise you to love you for as long as you want me. Isn't that enough?"
Blaine suddenly had a determined look in his face and frankly, it scared Kurt… "Okay, then I don't want you anymore. Simple as that! You just said you won't love me anymore if I don't want you anymore. Well, problem solved. I don't want you."
Kurt winced as Blaine spoke out the harsh words. It felt like a slap in the face. Still, he knew Blaine didn't want this. The curly-haired man was lying to protect his own heart. He was sure of it.
"You don't mean that, Blaine," Kurt said with a trembling voice.
"I do, Kurt. I don't want you anymore," and with those words, Blaine disappeared from Kurt's eyes.
Kurt could hear him around the house, collecting and putting on his clothes. As badly as he wanted his body to move, he couldn't. He was frozen to the bed.
One thing gave Kurt hope in this miserable situation. Blaine had never said he didn't love him anymore. It warmed his heart enough to still have some hope left.
He heard the front door slam close and he hugged his knees to his chest, crying and rocking himself to sleep…
xXx
It was a horrible day for Kurt Hummel. He had slept restlessly for the remaining few hours until he had to get up for work. His body screamed to call in sick, but he didn't want to do that on the second day. If Blaine was gonna be like that, he needed all the distraction and he was sure work could provide it for him. Hopefully.
He had to make sure Miss Greene or his colleagues wouldn't notice anything, but he couldn't fool his boss for long.
Barely an hour into his shift, as he nearly dropped a tray full of cups of coffee and he thought he had cursed underneath his breath, but apparently it had been louder than he intended, Miss Greene had pulled him into the back.
"Sweetie, you don't look fine," Miss Greene concluded with a soft voice, placing her hand on his forehead to feel if he had a fever. "What happened?"
Kurt sighed tiredly. "I just haven't slept that great."
"Is something troubling you?" Miss Greene asked and laughed softly as she took in Kurt's surprised face. "Oh, don't be like that. I'm not gonna scream at you for not doing your job properly. I'm a business owner, but I also care about my staff and if someone doesn't look right… I'll make sure that person is fine. So again… is something troubling you, sweetie?"
Kurt didn't know how she could do it, but before he could even stop himself, everything came tumbling out. Their romantic, yet emotional night who had been interrupted harshly just a few hours ago by Blaine having a nightmare and pulling himself away from Kurt, how Blaine had said 'I love you' to Kurt just hours before everything went to shit…
"I just don't get it, Miss Greene," Kurt sighed out, as he wrapped his fingers around a cup of tea. "It all looked fine to me, but then something triggered him."
"Cut the poor boy some slack, Kurt. He has been abused. I cannot imagine what that must feel like and I hope you can't either… He's been humiliated over and over, night after night and for a while he couldn't do anything about it. His trip to the hospital, while it was very bad ofcourse, was also his saving. If Sebastian hadn't hurt him so badly that night, who knew how long he had stayed in that relationship, scared, afraid, hurt, sad…"
Kurt let out a frustrating groan at that statement, because ofcourse he was aware of that! How could he let Blaine see he was a good guy? How was he gonna gain Blaine's trust?
"I just want to be with him. I don't care he's broken. I love him, I want him and I need him! He can't decide to just walk away from me. I should have a saying in that aswell."
Miss Greene nodded as she put some pie in front of Kurt, looking like he might need it. "That's a fair thought. Maybe you should tell just exactly that? I'm sure he thinks you're a burden to him. Show him you need him just as much as he needs you."
"How? He probably doesn't want to see me."
"Make him see, sweetie," Miss Greene said with a smile around her lips. "Blaine sometimes needs a kick under the butt."
Kurt nodded as he jumped up, shoving the cake in his mouth in one go, wearing a determined look on his face. "I'm going over there now. Please don't fire me, Miss Greene. I promise that after today, I won't ever miss another day of work!"
Miss Greene laughed as she pushed him out of the door. "I will hold you to your word. Now go!"
Kurt moved to his car quickly and sped off home, where Blaine would be. Well, Blaine would be in his own house, but where Blaine was, Kurt felt at home. It was so simple, yet the curly-haired man made it difficult for the both of them.
"Blaine?" He called out as he pounded the door. Not an answer. Ofcourse.
"Blaine Anderson!" He yelled again, not caring that some elderly neighbours were looking at him funnily.
"Blaine Devon Anderson!" He screamed, sounding so angry that he was probably scaring the poor guy off instead of letting him come to the door.
With a frustrated sigh, he moved around Blaine's house, where he saw the man sitting in the living room, covered in a blanket, dirty dishes all around him and a whining Sina who was bumping her nose in her owner's leg and nearly peeing on the floor.
"Blaine!" Kurt yelled again and he knocked the window. Blaine was an excellent actor, because he didn't look up or seemed startled.
Kurt sighed and slumped against the window, leaning his back against the cool glass. "Okay, I'm gonna say it like this. You've been through a lot, we both can't deny that, but it's a bit selfish to push me away when I'm already in love with you. I need you too, Blaine Anderson," he sighed as he put his head against the window, closing his eyes. "It's too late to push me away. I will be here until you let me talk to you properly or until you'll call the police and force a restraining order on me," he joked, trying to cheer Blaine up, just a little bit. "I want you, Blaine, all of you."
He couldn't hear anything for a while and the tears were streaming over his face as he sighed, not giving up just yet, just waiting until he had pulled himself together enough to say something again.
Busy with wallowing in self-pity, he couldn't hear the door open as Blaine stepped outside, his hair a mess, while Sina escaped and peed against the first tree she could find.
"I'm here," a broken voice sounded next to Kurt as he looked up with big eyes, a bright smile appearing as he took in Blaine.
"Thank you!" Kurt exclaimed and took Blaine's hand, who had reached for him. "Can I come in?"
"Yes," Blaine answered and the both of them moved inside, where everything was a mess. Kurt sighed and without a word, he grabbed all the dirty dishes and started cleaning them up.
"You don't have to…"
"Shh, Blaine, I'm gonna do your dishes, because whether you like it or not, I like helping the people I care about. And I do care about you!" Kurt felt he was getting frustrated again. He just really wanted Blaine to see how much he cared, damnit!
"Okay, okay," Blaine held up his hands in defence and slumped down on the couch, not saying anything for a while, until Kurt moved past the couch to grab a clean dishcloth.
"I'm scared of how much I need you," Blaine squeaked out. "I'm scared to let you love me and love you in return. I know how good a relationship can be, but I also know it can be broken down in seconds."
"I get that, Blaine," Kurt sighed from the kitchen as he wiped a glass clean thoroughly.
"But?"
"But, nothing. I get that it's scary for you to be in a relationship."
"Nothing else?" Blaine narrowed his eyes as he felt a catch coming.
"Nope."
"Okay," Blaine sighed and grew silent again, his hands wrapped together on his lap.
Kurt worked for an hour, cleaning the kitchen and making a light lunch with whatever stuff he could find in Blaine's fridge, which he placed in front of Blaine.
"You don't have to feed me…" Blaine mumbled.
"Damn it, Blaine!" Kurt screamed and threw the dishcloth, which was nearest within grasp, on the ground. "I'm not here for you, okay? I'm here because I can't stand not being around you! I'm here because I need to be around you or else I'm going crazy!"
Blaine stared back at him with a puzzled look on his face and Kurt was scared he had gone too far. It looked like Blaine wanted to say something, but he shut his mouth again and shook his head, pulling himself away from the situation and probably locking himself inside his head again.
Kurt let him, because what else could he do?
He moved to the bathroom, where he started emptying the room before cleaning it from top to bottom. Sometimes he would stop cleaning and just listen, hearing Blaine shuffle around in the living room and Sina's whines. Kurt wondered how long ago it was for Sina to have had a proper walk.
Just as he was about to mop the bathroom's floor, he felt arms wrap around him from behind. He yelped, but sank into the touch contentedly, closing his eyes.
"Please, come cuddle me on the couch. I can't stand being so close to you, but not being able to touch you," Blaine mumbled in Kurt's hair.
"Okay, but only if you promise me you're not gonna push me away again. I need to protect my heart too. If this is only for this afternoon, say so, because then I'll leave."
Kurt could feel Blaine shake his head and a smile broke onto his face.
"Kurt," and Blaine turned him around in his arms. "I'm sorry for everything. I'm sorry for doubting you. I'm sorry for being such a dick. I want you, I need you, I love you. Please forgive me."
Kurt laughed, his stomach filled with butterflies. "There's nothing to forgive, Blaine Anderson. You just needed an ass kick."
"Can I also maybe get an ass rim?" Blaine's eyes sparkled and then laughed as Kurt looked at him in shock, eyes wide.
"Blaine Anderson!" Kurt exclaimed in mock horror, snickering as they moved themselves over to the couch, where they cuddled close. Sina, who saw the two people she trusted the most hug, let out a happy whine and placed herself next to Blaine on the couch, putting her head in Blaine's lap.
"Thank you, Kurt, for coming into my life. Thank you for allowing me to love you. Thank you for loving me in return."
Kurt nuzzled his nose into Blaine's neck, inhaling his scent. "We were meant to find each other, Blaine. Sometimes it's as simple as that."
With those beautiful words, the two of them fell asleep, hugging close, their heart whole again.
For the first time in a very long time, Blaine felt hopeful again.
xXx
Oh, this was a bitch to write. So many emotions. I hope I did it justice. Now I need a bottle of wine to unwind, haha. Until next time!
