Draco's POV
I was feeling a lot calmer than I had felt when I first sat down at breakfast. I was reminded again of how good a decision it was for me to finally open up and tell my friends what I was and how to help when or if I needed it. Although I was slightly miffed they had let Potter in on it. But he knows what you are. And when you're together he'll need to know how to help. What? Where did that come from?
I was deep in thinking when a hand stopped me, clearly I was about to walk past our classroom door. I blushed slightly as Pansy smiled knowingly at me. We were standing outside potions, waiting for Professor Snape. I have to call him professor here, even though I normally call him Sev. I hoped Harry was good at potions. Then maybe we could be partners.
The door flew open and everyone heard Professor Snape's quiet 'In.'
The class hurried to obey him. I slowly wandered in alongside Harry, Pansy and Blaise.
'Potter! In and sit down. You're late.' Professor Snape ground out while glaring at him.
That's odd. He came in with us and we weren't late. I could see the other Slytherins looking at Professor Snape as if he'd grown an extra head. He was never unfair or mean to his own house.
'Sir, I am on time for class, I have entered along with my fellow Slytherins.' Harry replied quietly.
'Class starts at 9 am Potter. It is now 9:02. That is late. If you continue to argue with me boy, you will regret it. Now sit down.' Snape snarled.
Harry sighed and sat down at the nearest table next to Blaise. The Gryffindorks were all laughing at this point and whispering. We tried our hardest to ignore the idiots and got out our equipment.
Throughout potions, Snape was breathing down Harry's neck, criticising everything he did.
'You're cutting that too big.'
'That is not finely chopped Potter'
'Hagrid could stir better than that Potter you imbecile.'
I could see this was getting to Harry, his eyes were starting to darken.
'Really Potter, are you as stupid as you look or have those mutts raised you stupid?' Snape sneered at Harry.
'That is enough. I have had it. Brew your own crap you overgrown bat.' Harry snarled. The wind whipped around him and his table and water rushed through his fingertips as he put out the fire under his cauldron and stormed out.
Everyone was gaping at the door. He just walked out. Professor Snape had been rude and unfair to a member of his house and Harry Potter had just stormed out of lessons. This year was going to be wild.
I finished the lessons for the day a little worried. Harry hadn't come back to any lessons. I could tell that Pansy and Blaise were worried too. Once lessons had finished, and before dinner we all made the agreement that we would go and look for our new friend.
We left the castle and began to search the grounds. It was getting closer to dinner time and Blaise's stomach was beginning to rumble. As it rumbled for the 5th time Pansy pointed to something on the edge of the Black Lake. There he was. We rushed over and stopped close to him. The sight we saw caused us all to smile. There was Harry, curled up asleep with one hand draped in the water. Where his hand lay in the water there was a slight golden shine. The sign of a protector. I smiled softly as I watched him.
Pansy gently shook him awake.
'Harry, Harry, you need to get up, it's dinner time'
'Hmmm. What? Dinner time? Okay' he smiled softly. Clearly a tired Harry was very easily to get to agree to anything. The hand he had in the water was dry, which confused us all. Oh well that was something for another day's thoughts. We all walked towards the Great Hall, ready for some food.
