I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here our hero is just about to get into deeper trouble as he is faced with the possibility to either go after the culprit who massacred many people inside the theater or simply go home and forget what just happened…

Ch. 7: RESONANCE ~ Butaiura no tatakai

December 24th…

The scene shifts at the streets where traffic is building up due to police cordoning the area near the Metropolitan Theatre, and Inko is getting more impatient and asked the cab driver what is taking so long to get to her destination, and the driver told her that something is blocking the way and advised her to take a walk saying that the building is just a few walks away, and there Inko paid the driver as she is set to get off the taxi, and the driver asked if she is sure about this, which she said she doesn't care.

"Ma'am…the streets are…"

"…"

"Aren't you going to get frozen…"

"I don't care!"

"But…you're only in your house clothes…"

"I'm picking up my son. That's all to it. And thanks!"

"…"

"…"

As Inko got off and left, she walked the road and saw the vehicles are being lined up and saw several drivers screaming at the cops blocking the road and said that they are on a hurry, but the cops told the drivers to take a U-turn, which did little to mitigate the situation, as they cannot move due to being stuck in a jam.

"Take a U-turn?"

"Are you a fucking idiot or what?"

"We're stuck here!"

"How can we move?"

"You idiot!"

"Remove that fucking barricade and let us through!"

"We need to go forward!"

"And we mean it!"

As Inko walked towards the theatre, a cop guarding the area told her that she cannot pass, and she said that her son is there and see intend to fetch him, but the cop arrogantly told Inko to go home, saying that her son is probably back home by now, and if not, he is probably being picked up by prostitutes and is given a Christmas SEX present.

Inko stared wide-eyed as the cop continue to tell Inko to go home as he is too busy navigating traffic to hear the concerns of a whining parent who couldn't maintain her body weight due to eating Christmas turkeys on Christmas eve.

"So better go home and do some weight loss program…"

"…"

"That way you won't break any furniture in your hone."

"…"

"At the very least, your kid will have something to ogle at."

"…"

"Now scram and go home, you fat bitch."

"…"

The drivers heard what the cop just said, and realized that he made a big mistake of his life.

"Oh boy…"

"That cop's an idiot…"

"He's stupid."

"Arrogant."

"Let's hope that lady teaches him a lesson…"

"That cop pisses me off…"

"Let's see what the lady can do…"

"Here it comes…"

In response, Inko angrily punched the cop on the face, sending him flying towards an open garbage bin, and she proceeded to head towards the building and is intent on fetching Izuku and make sure her son is okay. Drivers and onlookers applauded Inko as they jeered the arrogant cop who appeared to be dazed after getting sucker-punched for his foolishness.

"Yeah!"

"Way to go!"

"You got him good!"

"Show him who's boss!"

"Kick his ass!"

"You rock!"

"Beat that pig who insulted you!"

"Merry Christmas!"

Two other cops sweat-dropped at what they saw, and questioned one another if they should arrest Inko or not, seeing that her actions are justified, and came to an agreement that THEY DID NOT SEE ANYTHING THAT HAPPENED JUST NOW.

"Let's leave it."

"You sure?"

"Yeah. He deserved it."

"You got a point."

"So…did you SEE anything?"

"Nope. You."

"Not a thing."

"Good."

Inside the theater building, Midoriya stared wide-eyed upon witnessing what just took place, as he saw Melissa Pearce DIED as her body MUTATED to a degree and she now proclaims herself as Mitochondria Eve, and there she once more extends her invitation to Midoriya and urged him to turn his back on humanity and join her in REMAKING the planet.

But he defiantly stood his ground and told Eve that he will not let her cause another unwarranted genocide and made it clear that he will stop her no matter what it takes, which made her feel amused and told him that until his cells AWAKEN, he has no chance of standing up to her in terms of power.

"You are such a brat."

"What?"

"You cannot stop me."

"…"

"Put aside your feelings as a human…and…"

"I won't."

"And what can you do, boy?"

"…"

Though terrified, he mustered the courage and drew the gun, aimed at Eve and opened fire, which the bullets struck Eve, but the bullets appeared to have no effect and Eve fired pyrokinetic blasts at her target but Midoriya dodged them and returned fire, which showed that the bullets penetrated her body but nothing happened.

Eve levitated and hovered around as she fired more blasts, which Midoriya narrowly evaded, and then returned fire, shooting the gun, but problem arose as he ran out of bullets, and there she attempted to persuade the boy to join her cause, but he defiantly rejected her.

"You are such a stubborn boy. Give it up."

"What?"

"You cannot stop me. You know that."

"…"

"Put aside your feelings as a human…abandon it…and together we…"

"I won't. Never."

"And what can you do, boy? Do you seriously believe that you can defeat me?"

"…"

As the two had a stand-off, eight cops barged in, having heard the gunshots, and seeing Midoriya holding a gun, they foolishly assume that he is behind the massacre and aimed their guns at the boy, failing to notice that Eve is watching, and told him that he is under arrest for multiple frustrated murder.

"Okay, you brat!"

"You're under arrest!"

"Drop the gun now!"

"You are charged for multiple murders!"

"Drop the gun or we'll open fire!"

"This is your last warning!"

"We mean it!"

"Now!"

Midoriya stared in disbelief seeing that the cops are so inept that they didn't see that Eve is just in front of them and he tried to warn them but the foolish cops kept their focus on the boy and reiterated that he is the prime suspect in the massacre.

As Midoriya protested, one of the cops fired a warning shot, and tells him that they can shot him anytime if he resists, and tells him that he is under arrest and will be treated like an adult suspect.

"Okay, you brat! This is your only warning!"

"You're under arrest!"

"Drop the gun now! And we mean now!"

"You are charged for multiple murders!"

"Drop the gun or we'll open fire! Don't think this is a bluff!"

"This is your last warning!"

"We mean it!"

"Now!"

Eve smirked as she causes the eight cops to combust spontaneously, and they were set aflame, and they ran around screaming in pain as they were being burned to death, dropping their guns in the process.

"AAAIIIEEE!"

"GGGGYYYAAHHH!"

"YYYYAAAAHHH!"

"AAAIIIEEE!"

"GGGGYYYAAHHH!"

"YYYYAAAAHHH!"

"RRRRRAAAAGGGGHH!"

Midoriya was horrified at seeing the cops dying, and there Eve tells him that she cannot be stopped, and urged him to cast away his humanity and join her in making a new world where no humans live, and even offered him to become a FATHER of a new species.

Midoriya was angered as he picked up two guns and opened fire, determined to do what it takes to stop Eve, and tells her that he will never do something like that and proclaims that he will not stoop to her shallow level and assured to her that humanity will never become extinct.

Eve was a bit dismayed at his response and questioned him if he is really dense, which did little to sway the younger boy.

"Are you really an idiot, boy?"

"…"

"Why insist on being a human when you are no longer one?"

"…"

"You saw it just now. Those humans have turned their backs on you."

"…"

"Admit defeat already."

"…"

Eve then attempted once more to set Midoriya on fire, but nothing happened, and there she tells him that his cells need more time to develop and said he should think it over, as she pointed out that he is NO LONGER HUMAN and that his cells will take over his body in time.

Eve then blasts the floor, boring a hole and jumped below, and Midoriya went forward and opened fire, and though the bullets struck her head, nothing seemed to happen as Eve can be heard laughing malevolently before disappearing from sight, and looking down below, he could tell that it was quite deep and probably leading towards the sewers.

He slowly tried to figure out what just happened. Why was he the only one not affected by the combustion attack; what does she mean by his CELLS NEED TIME TO DEVELOP; he is said that he already lost his humanity; and that sooner or later his cells will take over his body.

Dejected, Midoriya slowly leaves the area and unknowingly head for the exit of the theater building, and once there he is startled by his mom, as arrived and is sobbing upon seeing him, telling him that she heard a news about a mass attack.

Inko became alarmed upon seeing her son holding two guns, and she asked him what happened.

"Izuku!"

"Mom…"

"Oh! Thank goodness you are safe!"

"…"

"I was so worried…!"

"…"

"Huh? Why are you holding a gun…?"

"I…I…"

The other cops became cautious, and asked the younger boy to surrender the guns, however, the theater-goer who escaped the massacre intentionally made Izuku the phariah by saying that he saw what happened and that Izuku has a Quirk that can set people on fire.

The cops became alarmed and aimed their guns at him and told him that he is now deemed a suspect and ordered him to surrender at once.

"Okay, freeze!"

"You're under arrest!"

"Drop the gun now!"

"You are suspected for multiple murders!"

"Drop the gun or we'll open fire!"

"This is your last warning!"

"We mean it!"

"Now!"

Hope you liked this chapter, as horror slowly dominate the plot, as Midoriya goes off to find the culprit…

In place of Nomu, I had animals turn parasitically and serve as the monsters of this story since this is an MHA x Parasite Eve crossover, hence Midoriya will face a lot of these…

That aside…looks like Izuku survived, but now faces scrutiny as he is accused of committing the massacre, and it would be a miracle for his name to be cleared…
