Hades Listened to everything that was happening in the world of the living, it wasn't something he wanted to all the time, but even he needed some alone time to just sit down and relax.

He enjoyed watching children be born and seeing their struggles, he watched as two children with the same upbringing and same personality seemed to end up with different fates.

Amongst the gods, it was he who understood humans the most because it was he who had to judge them and place them in their eternal place.

Granted he had come into conflict with his brothers before, but his reasons were always valid, Zeuses uncontrolled desire for beautiful women started numerous wars, and people that weren't supposed to die yet, had died and as a result, couldn't redeem themselves, as they could have, had they been alive.

Poseidon's constant fits of anger either killed entire areas of the sea and created so many earthquakes that entire species and groups of people vanished with no one to remember the.

Hades had no interest in ruling anything else, he had more than enough after all, what good was it to be worshiped when in the end you would be forgotten anyway.

As usual, he would have remained in the underworld, but something had happened something that shouldn't have.

Life was on earth, it wasn't the life like the current one on it, but the purest of life.

There is no name for it, for any name given to it would fail, it was a pure power of life, this power is what maintained and gave birth to everything, water, animals even gods.

Admittedly he could just take it, but unlike his brothers, he wasn't arrogant enough to do so.

So he watched as a mo controlling will itself made himself a king on top of a set of forgotten islands that once belonged to the titans of old.

He had to admit, not even Zeus had a kingdom like the man's islands, but there was a problem.

Death didn't exactly exist on the islands, so far nothing had died, nothing except plants and that was an issue.

Everything has a soul even plants, but their souls can only be reborn when the thing that ate them dies, this wasn't an issue for the plants that rot on the ground, but the ones that were eaten remained with those that ate them.

Hades snapped his fingers and stood on the main island where the man rules from.

It seemed that luck was on his side he found the culprit of his problem.

"King of these islands I am Hades God of the underworld and you and I need to talk," he said to the man who looked t him with a confused expression.

The man walked up to him.

"Okay, if this is because of those people living on the chains or the woman" the man began to say before Hades lifted his hand and stopped him from talking.

"Yes and no."

"You see, no one on in this kingdom has died yet and in time they will have to die"

"I'm aware that you have the power of life so I ask of you to let them die and move on, you see all of the souls of the animals they eat and the plants they eat remain inside them, until the people that ate them die," Hades said to the ma, before closing his eyes and explaining the entire proses to the man.

In the end, the two ended up looking at one another.

"Normally I would say yes, but there's one problem, I can let you take any of the people that die that came from outside the islands or were born from the people that came from outside the islands but that's it," the man said t him

That was an issue, those creatures were all the man's creations meaning he had absolute rule over them, and the man hadn't been unreasonable either, he had given Hades the freedom he needed to do his job.

"I can give you an area of the underworld. it will be split in two, one where those one paradise and the other fit for torment. I won't have any say of what you do there, but you will need someone to manage it"

"Believe me if you could rain up here and fulfill your duties down there, I would already be doing it," Hades said to the man hoping to find a compromise

They both looked at one another before the specter of a young woman brought hades a bottle of wine he had never seen before.

"Please take it, it's for being so kind," the man said to him

"...I can help you find someone to manage the underworld but" Hades looked at the specter who just smiled at him without a care in the world

"Look, I'll be honest with you, no matter what you do there will be problems"

"The person that manages has to be completely neutral to be able to judge people properly, Inkow someone that can be both punished and given a gift in ruling down there"

"Considering that you aren't going to have anyone entering the underworld for a while that person will see it more as a blessing than a curse," Hades said to the man

The man turned his head to the sky

"I could just get one of my guys to do it, or create someone," the man said

"Can you say that they won't send someone to paradise because they believe that it will please you, or send someone to be tormented for all of eternity because they insulted you?" Hades asked the man

"Fine, please find this person, but if that person fails or if he becomes too much trouble I can set hem free, back to the world or underworld" the man answered Hades

"Agreed," Hades said to the man and he began to gather the energy of life itself and he watched as the energy became death, but there was another power born, love, both powers took the form of rings.

The man in front of him didn't contain the power of life so he could manipulate it but not control it, but even he didn't understand why love had been created alongside death.

"Give these to the person that either causes or brings problems to your island. You will know who it is when all of the problems happen" Hades said to the man before he returned to his throne

Hades opened the bottle of wine and as he drank its contents he had to admit, he couldn't enjoy the drink.

He had effectively lied to the man, the man's power was growing and one day it would be strong enough to challenge Zeus himself, the reason being was that the man was in fact the last Titan.

So he took advantage of the mans trusting nature and created chains to keep him under control

"Perhaps one day he will forgive me," Hades said to himself as he took another drink.

Hades looked into the world once again, he's free time will soon be and he smiled as he saw something or better said someone troublesome, it was rare for Hera to walk the world of mortals but every god does this from time to time just for fun.

In her current form, she was nothing more than a regular Human, granted she could instantly return to her true form, but Hades wouldn't allow her to do so.

He stopped his plans as he turned his eyes to the woods where Artemis is hunting.

It was easy to course the goddess of the hunt to cause problems for the man, but she had a reputation of favoring women over men, in fact, the man was a perfect counter for the goddess.

No, Hades had a better idea, he sent several of his servants to the forest where Artemist's usual hunts in and they took the leaves of several of the trees.

He had them leave the leaves on the man's island away from anyone so no one could see them, he created new bodies for the souls that Artemis had turned into trees.

Honestly, the man should put the power of life completely under control anyone could use it.

As the men woke up, they wondered where they were and asked themselves if their torment was nothing more than a long nightmare.

Hades watched as the man welcomed the men and gave them clothes for them to cover their naked bodies, Hades smiled as the men followed the man, now those souls can move on when they die.

He watched as the goddess noticed that the trees were no longer alive and in a rage she cut them down, it was too late for her to find their souls and because they are on the island her power could not reach them.

It was time to get back to work
