PERCY p.o.v
My luck had finally run out. Kelly, The empusa I had once before encountered loomed over Reyna, savouring her moment of triumph. The other two empousai circled me, their mouths slavering, ready for a bite. Then a shadow fell across me.
A deep war cry bellowed from somewhere above, echoing across the plains of Tartarus, and a bright silver light dropped onto the battlefield.
I had to be hallucinating. It just wasn't possible that a huge silvery figure could drop out of the sky and stomp Kelli flat, trampling her into a mound of monster dust. But that's exactly what happened.
The figure was ten feet tall, with wild silver Einstein hair, pure silver eyes and muscular arms protruding from a ripped-up blue janitor's uniform. In his hand was a massive push broom. His name tag, incredibly, read BOB.
The last empusa attackedwith the speed of a tiger, but she never stood a chance. A spearhead jutted from the end of Bob's broom.
With a single deadly swipe, he cut her todust. The last vampire tried to run. Bob threw his broom like a massive boomerang. It sliced through the vampire and returned to Bob's hand.
"SWEEP!" The Titan grinned with delight and did a victory dance. "Sweep, sweep, sweep"'
I couldn't speak. Reyna looked just as shocked.
"H-how ...?" she stammered.
"I saved friends!" the janitor said happily. Reyna crawled a little further away. Her arm was bleeding badly. The janitor frowned when he noticed Reyna's wounds.
"You are hurt!" Says the Titan, she flinched as he knelt next to her.
"It's okay," I reassure her, still woozy with pain. "He's friendly."
The janitor tapped Reyna's forearm and it mended instantly. Bob chuckled, pleased with himself, then bounded over to me and healed my bleeding neck and arm. The Titan's hands were surprisingly warm and gentle.
"All better!" Bob declared, his eerie silver eyes crinkling with pleasure. "I am Bob, Percy's friend!"
LINE BREAK
After that absurd meeting we set off to find the mansion of Night, Bob said that immortals couldn't go that way and that he'd meet us on the other side.
It took quite a few hours but we finally made it, the place itself looked like something out of a cheesy eighties horror movie. The mansion's walls were all black and it was surrounded by some sort of mote filled with water even I, a son of Poseidon, would not go near.
Turning to look at Reyna she seemed to agree by the disgusted look on her face as she stared down at the murky water.
"Soooo..." I start "do we knock or-" I was cut short by a loud noise, it sounded like... hooves?
A huge chariot materialised in front of us, much like the creepy mansion it was pitch black, even the horses. On the chariot stood a woman, she had (you guessed it) black hair and skin paler than Nico, her dress seemed to be made out of shadows that complemented her *cough* figure *cough*.
She had a smirk on her face that practically screamed evil, her pitch black eyes stared at me intently.
"Well, it seems I have some visitors!" She exclaimed in a cheerful tone. "It's been a while you know, all I have are my children and if I'm honest they don't make for great guests." The cavern seemed to get darker when she said that, I really hope I don't have to meet those children of hers...
"Um.. hi, I'm Percy, this is Reyna" I point at her. "We were just passing by, do you by any chance know how we can get past the mansion of Night?" I ask politely. The woman seemed amused by my question and trying to hold in laughter.
"Is there something wrong?" She snorted with laughter. "Ok, that's it what in Hades is so funny!?" Her laughter slows down and leaves an amused grin in its place.
"Ah half-bloods, always good entertainment!" She says, wich in my opinion was a tiny bit offencive. Does that count as racism? "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Nyx, primordial of Night, mother of misery and pain!"
Well Shit... Reyna immediately got to one knee and yanked me down with her.
"We are terribly sorry milady, we didn't recognize you..." She says.
"Do not worry child, I shall grant you passage through my mansion." Says the primordial goddess. Just like that? If she's anything like the gods she'll probably ask us to get something she lost, they should really stop losing their stuff...
"What's the catch?" I ask, Nyx giggles in an un-primordial like fashion.
"Well, you see, ever since my husband Erebus faded I haven't been able to have any more wonderful children..." She says, in a suggestive tone. I don't get it, does she want us to bring back her husband? Or... Oh hades no! Was she saying what I think she was saying?
"W-what...?" I stammer.
"It's quite simple really," Nyx replies. "I want you to be the father of my next child!"
