Strange Engagement

-Chapter Seven: We Are Fight Fighters-

It was a nice day in Gravity Falls and Soos decided to take the gang somewhere special today: the arcade. "This is it, dudes," He said happily to the underworld kids. "My favorite place in Gravity Falls. Everything I know, I learned right here." He led the way to one game called Frog Time. "A frog taught me how to cross the street."

He moved over to another game that taught him how to deal with ghosts haunting his house but remembered there was a ghost among them and wasn't sure how to explain it without being offensive. However, his worries were dashed when Dani ran over to said machine, "You guys have Ghost Maze? I love playing that game with daddy."

"You do?" Soos said taken aback slightly.

Dani nodded, "oh yeah. Daddy always played this with me when I was growing up. He showed me all sorts of secrets to the game though I was never able to beat his high score." She pouts for a moment as she recalls her daddy teasing her about wanting to be better than he was. She did however grin as she also recalled a silver lining, "at least he was never able to beat uncle Tucker's high score."

"Uncle Tucker?" Mabel asked since Dani didn't touch with her family much.

"He's my dad's best friend and my godfather," Dani explain simply. "It's just easier to call him uncle."

Soos laughed hearing that ghost liked a classic arcade game. "If they are ever in town, I'm sure they can set new records on these machines. Maybe even the old machine that taught me how to dance."

Soos waved to where Old Man McGucket was on the dance machine and going crazy with his tap dancing. He laughed "I've been jigging for seven days straight."

The group stared before Mabel noticed the machine wasn't plugged in and a sign covered the screen stating: 'Out of Order'. "Ah, Soos?" Mabel started showing the plug.

Soos however lowered the hand and plug saying, "let him have this."

Mimi didn't let that discourage her as she held up a foam finger that was saying 'Go! Go! Go!' and waved it to cheer Old Man McGucket on. The old hillbilly noticed this and gave her a salute before he went even harder to beat his record.

Chi looked at the games to try and find anything interesting. She paused before a game call Insert Token. On the screen it said to insert token, asking for twenty-five cents. Chi raised a brow before she puts a quarter into the machine. When he did the machine voiced out, "Congratulations! You Win!" Chi looked smug for a moment before the screen turned back into the insert token screen, causing Chi to frown and pull out another quarter.

Junior and Mini glanced around to find something they can play together when Junior stopped. "Whoa," he whispered before moving over to a game. "They got Carnevil."

"Carnevil?" his sister asked. "I am unaware of such a game."

Junior grinned and held up the attached gun for the game. "It's a rail shooter that has us fighting all sorts of demons and monsters in an evil carnival. Care to be my backup sis?"

Mini offered her own confidante smile before she picked up the second gun. "I pity the machine for having us as its adversary. For as mother always tells us, 'We don't lose'."

Both children of the Grim Reaper and the evilest woman of the underworld started the game and started their virtual rampage.

Meanwhile, Dipper and Wendy found a fighting game called Fight Fighters and were facing each other. They watched the pixelated cut scene. "Dr. Karate! You Killed My Father Again!"

The named Dr. Karate just growled in his cut scene leaving the first character state, "You Take That Back!"

The two laughed before they started fighting each other. Dipper pulling off a combo with a fireball and then a shoulder slam. Both teens were smashing buttons and moving the joystick to try and beat the other. Dipper manages to do another combo which ended in an uppercut that knocked Wendy's health bar go to zero. 'K.O.' Appeared on the screen as the game announced "Game Over! Winner Rumble McSkirmish!"

The character Rumble gave a peace sign and stated, "Winner Don't Lose!"

"What?" Wendy said before she added jokingly "You cheated."

"You take that back!" Dipper said coping Rumble's earlier cut scene.

Wendy laughed as they started another round. Personally, she was glad the two were able to relax together even if it wasn't a date, planning on fully enjoying this while it lasted. "I'm going to punch the ref," Wendy said making her character punch and combo the ref with Dipper joining in. But since the ref was just part of the background they never even touched him, but they had fun doing it.

While the two were having their fun, they didn't notice someone placing up posters near them. The dark-haired teenage figure of Robbie was placing fliers for a band called 'Robbie V. and the Tombstones', which he was the main member. Happy with his work, he turned to noticed Wendy. "Hey, Wendy, what's up?" Robbie started but didn't even let Wendy finish before adding, "I'm just hanging up some posters for my band. I'm the lead guitar, no big."

"Are you wearing mascara?" Dipper asked confused as he noticed that Robbie did look like he was wearing mascara on the poster.

"Uh, it's eye paint for men." Robbie rudely replied annoyed that Dipper noticed something that might have had a different way of seeing things. Wendy noticed and decided to diffuse the situation as best she can.

"Hey Robbie, Dipper was just showing me this awesome game," Wendy said, referring to the game she and Dipper were playing as Robbie thought he had a chance to do something.

"How about I play this round champ?" Robbie seemed to make a motion and was stopped by Wendy before he could use his superior size to get between Dipper and Wendy.

"Sorry but, we kind of started this round, and it would be cool to finish up," Wendy said as Dipper didn't mind either way, but Dipper just shrugged a bit.

"Sure, I can always play the home version back at the Shack or Mega Fight Fighters IV," Dipper said as then Lilith showed up and looked like she was looking for someone.

"Hey Dipper, they have Dancy Pants Revolution V and you kind of owe me a dance!" Lilith then grabbed Dipper to play the game leaving Wendy disappointed that her Dipper time was interrupted by both Robbie and Lilith.

Robbie grinned at the fact Dipper was pulled away. He could use this chance to possibly get Wendy to go on a date with him. But one thing did stick out with how Lilith wanted Dipper to go with her and he couldn't help but ask, "are they dating or something?"

"Maybe," Wendy said, not wanting to deal with Robbie knowing the contract with the twins. It didn't help how she felt about it with her crush on Dipper knowing he would have to marry them. She sighed and turned back to the game, knowing that beating up some virtual people would help take her frustration out. "Don't cry when I beat you, dude."

Robbie grinned and took the controls as the round started. Right out of the gate Wendy was attacking aggressively and he was clearly losing but he wasn't going to let that ruin this for him. "So hey, you want to hang out tomorrow?"

Wendy grunts, "sorry, I'm going camping with dad tomorrow, so I won't be around."

"That's cool," Robbie said half listening after hearing his chance to get a date was gone. "Maybe sometime later this week."

Wendy shrugged, not noticing how much her friend was pushing. "Maybe."

Robbie grinned even when his character was defeated without even touching Wendy's health bar. Already plans were being made in his head which he knew would impress her.

(scene change)

The next day everyone was in the Mystery Shack, sitting around the table as they all were playing cards. Stan felt a bit nostalgic seeing the kids of the underworld lords playing poker with him as well as his great-niece and nephew. They weren't playing with real money as they were using Chipackerz, the chip flavored cracker, as poker chip and it was more for fun than anything else. There was only one issue so far.

"King me!" Mabel declared as she placed her hand down for them to see, showing them a winning hand.

Everyone but Mini and Mimi groaned as Mabel gathered the pot. "How does this keep happening?" Lilith complained, crossing her arms and wings while pouting.

"How is she doing that?" Dani asked with her own pout. Normally she would be happy at how her friend was doing but after losing so many times it was starting to get old to her.

"Every time it's either her or Mimi winning," Junior added jerking his thumb to the daughter of Him. "She at least has an unbeatable poker face; Mabel doesn't even know what we're playing."

"Go fish?" Mabel guessed unknowingly rubbing salt into the wounds.

Then loud rock music could be heard that actually shook the light hanging above them. "Dude I think I'm picking up a radio station inside my head," Soos said trying to clean his ears.

"Try blinking to change the channel," Mabel suggested to which Soos did.

Dipper then heard a familiar voice sing out or at least tried to sing as he didn't think it was very good. "Wendy!"

"Is that Robbie?" Dipper asked, surprised to hear the teen here.

"You mean that punk that keeps making goo-goo eyes at Wendy?" Stan asked, thinking he got the right teen in his head.

"Oooh?" Lilith asked, interested in the possible new teasing material. "Are they dating?"

"They're not dating," Rias objected before someone got the wrong idea. She wasn't about to let her side project of getting Wendy and Dipper together to be ruined like this.

"He called me big dude once," Soos said with a pout, "I know I'm a big dude but that kinda hurt."

"Want me to sic Waddles on him again?" Mabel asked, petting her pet pig on the head. She remembered during the Mystery Fair while showing off her pet pig to Wendy and her friends, Wendy showed how much Waddles loved apples and even chased Robbie for a candy apple the boy had, scaring the teen into getting hot water spilled on him while also dropping the apple for Waddles.

"I'll go see what he wants," Dipper said, getting up from the table.

Rias wanted to follow with the excuse of knowing Robbie longer but figured there shouldn't be an issue since the two boys didn't seem to hate each other. And she didn't think Robbie would figure out that Wendy had a crush on Dipper which would make things worse.

Junior got up to follow and watch from the window before the rest did the same.

Outside Robbie had set up a mini speaker plugged into an electric guitar and going wild. "Wendy!~" Robbie sang out not noticing Dipper walking out to him, "Wendy!~ Wendy!~" he finally stopped playing and called out, "Wendy! Come on out girl!"

"You do realize she's not here, right?" Dipper asked him.

Robbie scoffed, "yes." Then he blinked before asking "what?"

"She's out camping with her family today," Dipper explained, "I don't know if she explained that to you yesterday or not."

"And what's that supposed to mean?" Robbie was starting to get annoyed at the fact that he failed to realize that Wendy was telling him something important.

"I only said that she went out camping. I don't know if you were told yesterday because I was hanging out with Lilith around that time so I'm just letting you know she isn't here." Dipper explained as he didn't have any reason to not answer or have any real animosity towards the older boy. Robbie, on the other hand, though he had noticed something else.

"Oh, I get it, you've got a thing for Wendy, don't you?" Robbie accused and Dipper just raised his eyebrow at the accusation raised.

"I already have enough romantic drama, so I don't think I need any more right now," Dipper said as he really didn't need to have any more drama with his multiple fiancées and the fact that one of them happened to be Pacifica who could get really crazy at times.

Robbie of course, didn't believe him. "Don't try and trick me, I've been there before. Having a crush on the older, cooler lady and you can't get a better description then Wendy for you."

Now Dipper was getting annoyed, "dude do you even listen to anyone but yourself?"

Robbie however got out his phone. "Let's prove it then. I'll call her up and we'll see if she's interested." he started to type away while adding with a smirk, "that is if you can even have the courage to ask her."

"Dude, she's camping with her family," Dipper said, not seeing the point. "No need to bug her over this."

"She won't care," Robbie said rolling his eyes. He showed the phone screen to Dipper to reveal Wendy's face above a call button, showing only one more button to send the call through. Robbie gave his phone a short wave as he taunts Dipper. "What are you gonna do? Huh? Huh?"

Robbie then pressed the call button and they could hear the ring tone over the speakers. Dipper growled, getting more annoying by the constant prodding from the older teen. "Knock it off!" Dipper said as he slapped the phone with his hand.

The phone flew through the air just as Wendy's voice could barely be heard "Hello?" before it hit the sound and broke into pieces. Both boys stared at the remains of the now destroyed phone. "My phone!" Robbie called out, in disbelief before he turned and glared at Dipper.

Dipper winced since it was technically his fault. "I'll buy you a new one," he offered as a peace offering.

"Oh no," Robbie said angrily "You're not getting off that easily."

He picked Dipper up by the front of his shirt till they were face to face.

"Hey!"

Robbie and Dipper looked to the shack to see Rias glaring through an open window. "You better not be starting a fight." She left the window to no doubt head outside and stop them.

Robbie scowled before he tossed Dipper to the ground and pointed in his face. "You. Me. Circle Park. Three-O-clock. We finish this."

He walked away, leaving Dipper on the ground looking stunned and a bit afraid. Rias came out to find only her fiancé, before walking and helping him up. "You okay?"

Dipper let out a moan, not looking forward to what comes next.

Rias helped him inside where Dipper explained what happened. Stan rubbed his chin as he heard this, "you think I can sell tickets, make a few bets? Tell them the smart money is on skinny jeans."

"This is serious!" Dipper called out, pacing around in worry. "What am I thinking? I can't fight him."

"Dude you killed a Wendigo" Dani reminded him. "You can easily take on Robbie."

"I did that without thinking," Dipper confessed. "And even if it wasn't, I was doing that to help Wendy. It was a monster trying to kill us and Robbie's one of our friends, I think…I can't do the same to him. Plus, he's twice my size, he'll kill me in a fistfight."

"Just bonk him over the head," Stan suggested. "It's nature snooze button."

Mabel rolled her eyes, "Boys, why can't you learn to hate each other in secret? Like girls do."

The other girls in the room looked at Mabel, surprised by this. "Maybe human girls," Lilith summarized.

"Yeah most women in the underworld have no problem showing who they hate," Dani explained. "Mom has a whole list of ghost and other lords she doesn't like. Doesn't stop her from roasting or ranting about them."

"And don't get us started on our mom," Junior added since Mandy has a fierce reputation of a sharp wit and even sharper tongue that can tear down anyone that dare face her. Even her husband Grim wasn't safe.

Mini nodded in agreement of her brother. "Mother has stated that to hide her disdain for another was beneath her."

Chi rolled her eyes, "What fools just hides their hate for another in secret? It is a wasted effort otherwise."

Even Mimi showed her opinion by holding the thumbs down/dislike sign. Mabel just pouts, seeing as her idea of how to handle that was pretty much alone. Dipper grimace as he didn't know what to do. "I can't stay here in case Robbie comes back."

Stan rolled his eyes, "look kid, you got yourself a choice here. You can either go face him like a man, or you can hide indoors like a wimp. What'll it be?

(scene change)

"Wimp it is," Soos summarized when he found Dipper again hiding under a pinball machine at the arcade.

"Not helping dude," Junior said to Soos as Dipper crawled out from under the game.

"It's fine, it's fine," Dipper said to calm his nerves. "I just need to hide here till three o'clock passes."

Dipper checks his watch and sees it's barely eleven-thirty. He sighed and leaned against a table. "I just have to not think about it."

Junior patted his friend's back to help steady him. Dipper glanced up and jumped with a small scream, seeing the many angry-looking faces of Robbie from the posters of his band. It didn't help that under the face was the caption, 'You're dead!' which made Dipper even more worried.

"Hey! Monster Slayer!"

Dipper turned to see Lee and Nate had enter the arcade and noticed their friend. Ever since the adventure to the abandon mill and Dipper defeating the Wendigo, the other boys of the gang respected Dipper more and even gave him the new nickname. Honestly Dipper was surprise by the gesture and how easily he was accepted by the group of teens.

"How's it going man?" Nate asked before he noticed how Dipper looked. "You okay dude?"

Dipper sighed, "not really."

The teens glanced at one another before Lee said, "well maybe we can help. Even if we can just cheer you up with a few games. Thompson's not the best so you can get some easy wins."

Lee thumbed over his shoulder to their friend Thompson was playing a game with Mimi and was losing badly to the demon girl. Dipper thought it over, "I might do that. I need time to kill till pass three o clock."

"What's at three?" Nate asked, not sure why that was important.

Dipper winced as he didn't want Robbie's friends to find out about the fight. Junior glanced at his friend before explaining. "Robbie challenged Dipper to a fight and he's worried."

"Dude!" Dipper called out at the betrayal.

Whatever the two teens were expecting, it wasn't that. Sharing a look, they agreed to help out. "Look, I can see why you would be worried," Nate started off. "Robbie older and taller so anyone in your position would be a bit scared to fight him without backup."

"Robbie's our bro," Lee added, getting Dipper to wince again. "And as part of the bro code, we would support him in case like this."

"But you're also our bro," Nate finished, getting both Dipper and Junior to look stunned.

"Really?" Dipper couldn't help but ask.

They both beamed. "We might have known Robbie longer, but you totally saved our butts when we met," Lee said with a laugh.

"Plus, you guys are fun to hang around," Nate added. "You're just as much of a bro to us. Which is why we can say that Robbie's 'fight' is mostly a bluff."

Dipper stared, frozen as he tried to comprehend what he heard. "What?"

"Robbie can't fight his way out of a wet paper bag," Lee explained. "Almost none of us can really fight."

"Expect for Wendy," Nate clarified which made sense to them. "Thompson can take a beaten at most before going down and Tambry usually has a hidden taser and pepper spray. The rest of us can barely hold ourselves upright in a brawl."

"Robbie was most likely bluffing," Lee said to try and reassure Dipper. "At most he wanted you to give up right away or not even show up. That ways he gets a victory."

Junior hummed, not sure what to think about it. He wasn't sure but then again, these two would probably know Robbie more than they would. "So, Dipper doesn't have anything to worry about?"

Lee patted Dipper's shoulder, "I know he doesn't. Hell, we'll go with you and prove it with you guys. If we're wrong, then we'll help you fight him."

"Which we won't have to," Nate laughed, confident they knew their friend well.

Dipper felt better for the first time since this morning since if they were right, he wouldn't have to fight Robbie and if the teen did still want to fight, he now had back up in equal footing. He felt he can finally relax until it was time.

"In that case, how about I show you guys a really cool game?" Dipper was definitely sounding in a better mood as he thought it would be cool to show them the old arcade version of Fight Fighters.

"Sure thing monster slayer!" Lee said as Dipper led the two to the Fight Fighters arcade machine.

Dipper waited for Lee and Nate to decide with a round of rock-paper-scissors to see who would be the one to face Dipper the monster slayer in virtual battle. The winner was Nate, but he dropped his quarter. He bent over to pick it up before he noticed something. "Guys, check this out."

They all bent down to see a code that was etched into the machine with a knife or similar instrument of a series of movements for the machine's controller, and a message that said to release ultimate power.

"Whoa," Lee said as he spotted the message. "Is that a cheat code?"

"Looks like it," Junior agreed scratching his head. "But for what? I know there isn't any other unlockable characters or secret bosses in the first Fight Fighter game. That was in Fight Fighter 2."

"Maybe it's to boost your character," Nate suggested with a grin. "Like a boost in damage or health. Let's try it."

Dipper shrugged, "I don't see why not. I like things that are ultimate anyway."

He used Nate's quarter to boot up the game before he started to enter the code. "Back, Back, hold forward, back, forward, down, hold quarter circle, forward, triple punch."

But as soon as he finished typing in the code the screen of the game shut off as if it lost power. They stared before Lee elbowed his friend and joked, "dude you broke it."

"My bad."

Before they could decide on another game the screen lit up once more, this time so bright it was blinding the four. "Select your Character!" came the game's voice over.

"Okay maybe not," Junior said surprised by the turn of events.

"Who do we pick?" Nate asked them.

"Let's go with a classic," Dipper offered. "Rumble McSkirmish?"

The game shook and the light got brighter before something popped out of the game, doing a series of spinning kicks. It was Rumble McSkirmish himself, not flesh and blood like a person but still pixelated and looked like he was still in his game.

"He's real?" Junior asked as he looked the game character over. As he stepped to the side, he saw that he wasn't truly 3-D as from the side he was flat with only a few inches of colorful bulk.

Dipper slowly raised a hand to the character which caused Rumble to grin and shout, [High Five!] before delivering stated high five.

Dipper grinned when this happen before he hissed and pulled his hand back, "ow, your pixels are sharp."

Lee and Nate got over this shock and also got high fives from the famous video game character. They hiss in brief pain as they agreed with Dipper. "Worth it" Lee stated, unable to keep the grin off his face.

[Group of lanky children,] Rumble said standing up and got into his animation for when he was not 'moving' [I am Rumble McSkirmish from the USA.] Before he did a combos of kicks, jump punch and a spinning jump kick that actually pushed them back.

"Wow," Junior whispered, rubbing his chin from the surprise blow. Despite that he was grinned as well. Sure, he heard of the story where his father turned a Pokémon knock-off game to life but this was way better in his opinion plus it was one of his favorite characters.

"Dude this is awesome" Nate said while as Rumble walked pass him to a change machine.

Rumble then ordered, [Change Machine, change me into a powerful wolf] before he punches the machine, the two teens of the group were shouting "Go! Go! Go!" as he destroyed it.

"I can't believe this is happening," Dipper said to Junior.

"I don't know how he came to life but I'm not complaining" the mini reaper agreed as Rumble finished his display of property damage.

They noticed that Rumble's body flashed red and a beeping was heard. Rumble turned to Robbie and stated, [I need power-ups.]

"We got some snacks at the shack," Dipper offered. "I got to show everybody this." He glanced around but couldn't find another friend who was supposed to be here. "Where's Soos?"

"Maybe he had to go?" Junior suggested, following Lee and Nate as they led Rumble outside for his powerups. "We'll find him later."

Dipper agreed and quickly followed afterwards. What the group didn't notice was that Mimi and Thompson saw the whole exchange. Thompson was stunned at what he saw and while he find the idea of bringing a video game character to life amazing, he knew better then to be near a fighter character when he was such an easy target. Thompson noticed that Mimi was checking out the code before taking a quarter and walked towards the CarnEvil game. Thompson realized her intention and turned her away from the game, "Maybe we should try that code on a different game. No offense, but I think that game is a bit much to come alive."

They walked past a game called Nort, the game based on the movie based on a game, where someone walked up and puts a quarter in. He looked at the screen and cried out. Soos was on the screen with his face press to the glass, "help! I'm trapped in the game. It was cool in theory but in practice it was really boring."

The man screamed before he ran, leaving Soos still trapped. Soos narrowed his eyes determined, "it's not just a game anymore."

Thompson was trying to find a reasonably peaceful game for Mimi to use the code on so that it wouldn't backfire on them. "Maybe Ghost Maze? No, the Ghost Muncher might try and eat Dani. What do you think Mimi?" he turned to see the demon girl already at placing the quarter into a game before rapidly entering the code. He came over to see what game she was using. "Fix-it Felix Jr.?"

The screen went out before it lit up as it did with Fight Fighters. "Select Your Character!"

Mimi couldn't talk so she used the joystick to move and selected the character. The game shook before someone very big came bursting out of game. He slammed his fist into the ground before he stood to full height, towering over both of them. The man glanced around looking confused, [Where am I?]

Thompson couldn't help but stare slack-jawed at the fact that Wreck-it-Ralph was in front of them. Mimi smiled at the fun she thought could happen with the wrecker in front of her.

(Scene Change)

"Well, we don't have any traditional power-ups pizza boxes, turkey legs, or power rings but we do have half a taco," Dipper said as he looked through the fridge with Rumble, Lee, and Nate at the Shack as the boys were impressed at how Rumble managed to swat a fly. Rumble then turned to Dipper.

[Place it on the floor.]

Dipper did as Rumble asked and he crouched down and the taco disappeared. When Rumble stood up a blue screen open up with several boxes with pictures of a campfire, an apple, a cd and the taco. The nachos were selected and then used. "I wish I could do that," Dipper said as he watched the screen vanish.

"It would be awesome," Lee agreed, "then we wouldn't have to use Thompson to sneak snacks into places."

"Or just hide stuff from our parents," Nate added, recalling all the times he was caught with something he shouldn't have.

[I must defeat the greatest fight fighters,] Rumble declared. [Take me to the Soviet Union.]

"That's gonna be tough, for a number of reasons," Dipper said, wondering how to explain this properly to the game character.

As if he was in a cartoon, a lightbulb clicked in Lee's head. "I got an idea!" he declared happily.

"Oh, is that's what smoking?" Nate joked, earning him an elbow from his friend. "Ow…worth it."

Lee however didn't bother too much with that as he explained his idea. "We should show this guy to Robbie."

"Robbie?" Dipper asked, having actually forgotten all about the fight he was to have due to his friend's reassurance and Rumble appearing.

Lee nodded, "yeah Robbie. He will lose mind once he sees this guy."

[Who is this Fight Fighter?] Rumble asked, following the conversation in his own way.

"He's a friend of ours," Nate explained. "He challenged Dipper here to a fight."

Rumble looked serious [Did he kill your father?]

"What? No," Dipper cuts off. "He's just angry at me for some reason. Seems to think I have a crush on Wendy for some reason."

"Ooooh," the two teens teased him.

"I don't!" Dipper tried to correct them. "I don't even know why he thinks that?"

"Well Robbie does have a crush on Wendy," Nate said with a shrug.

Lee was taken aback by this news. "Wait, really? How do you know?"

"He told me" was Nate's reply.

Lee scowled at this news, "why would he tell just you and not me?"

Nate crossed his arms and rolled his eyes, "you always make fun of our crushes. That's why I only told Robbie mine."

If anything Lee was more offended by that. "Dude!"

Dipper and Junior decided to ignore them and let them get that out of their systems. "He's not going to let whatever issue he has with me go so this fight will be happening even if I don't want to."

[And then he killed your father,] Rumbled summarized with how he interpreted it.

Dipper and Junior shrugged since they figured his thinking was still set to his game. "I mean Junior's dad is technically dead" Dipper joked which got a laugh from his friend.

"Yeah, you can't get any more dead than dad, besides Dani's father," Junior said to add to the joke. He then grinned at Rumble. "But just one look at you will be enough for him to surrender. If what we heard is true then you got this in the bag without even fighting."

Rumbled laughed at the request, [Challenge accepted: press start!]

Suddenly a red rectangle button with the word [Start] appeared before Dipper. The boy blinked before he pushed the button, causing it to ding and flash before it vanished. Rumble laughed and celebrated the best way he knew how; by performing several of his moves. [Fireball! Uppercut! Downer cut! Bowl of Punch!]

Rumble performed each move in sequence causing a window to break from the fireball as well as start a small fire, the uppercut breaking the roof of the kitchen and finally taking a large bowl of punch from the fridge and drank the whole thing before he smashed it into the floor, breaking the glass. Lee and Nate cheered at the destruction while Dipper and Junior shrugged. Due to so many heirs to the Lords of the Underworld, the cabin they were staying in had a habit of getting walls broken and more than once a fire broke out. However, the magic in the cabin allowed it to put itself back together in less than an hour. Dipper and Junior wanted to test how much destruction the place can take before repairing itself but felt that was more a late summer project when they don't have to stay much longer.

"What was that?" came one of the girls' voices from the other room.

"Oh crud," Junior muttered, not wanting to deal with any of the girls with Rumble here.

"We'll handle this," Dipper said before addressing Rumble. "Stay perfectly still." Rumble however bounced up and down in his idle animation, ready to fight. "I said stay still."

[This is as still as I can stay,] Rumble informed him.

At that moment Rias, Lilith, and Mabel entered the kitchen before they could hide Rumble. "What happened in her-" Rias started to ask before she pauses seeing the video game character. "…Hello? What's this?"

"This is Rumble McSkirmish," Dipper explained. "We found a code on his arcade machine and brought him to life."

[The boys gave me a taco!] Rumble explained to them.

"Wow, he got a crazy voice," Mabel said with a giggle before she quickly wrote something down on some flashcards. "Here, say these words."

"These too," Lilith added as she quickly wrote her own cards.

Rumble took the cards and started to read off words from each card on at a time. [Effervescene! Bring it downtown! Apple fitter! Harder Daddy! Riboflavin! Top and Bottom!]

This brought a round of laughs from Lee, Nate, Lilith, and Mabel.

Junior frowned at his fiancé, "knock it off Mabel. Rumble's not a toy."

"Says you," Lilith countered with a huff.

"We gonna have him scare Robbie so he won't want to fight me," Dipper explained the plan to them.

"Isn't that sorta cheating?" Mabel asked her twin.

Rias gave a soft ladylike huff, "if you aren't cheating then you aren't trying hard enough."

"It'll probably be fine," Dipper said to assure them. He checked his watch. "Oh, I think it's time to go. Come on, guys."

[Poop-Poop and Butts!] Rumble declared as he followed the rest of the boys, saying the last words on the cards as he did so. [Bow-Chicka-Bow-Wow!]

This brought another round of laughter from Mabel and Lilith, forcing them to hang onto each other to keep them from falling. "So worth it!" Lilith said, happy that their joke worked so well.

Rias rolled her eyes as she used her magic to put out the fire as the rest of the kitchen was repairing itself. "I just hope their plan doesn't backfire on them."

"They'll be fine," Mabel said, confident in her brother.

"Hey, guys!" Dani called from the other room. "Come here! Mimi brought over a new friend!"

The girls looked at one another before walking into the living room to see a large man sitting on the couch next to Thompson, enjoying a plate of cupcakes Mimi had handed them.

[Hi, I'm Ralph, and this is a nice place] Ralph said with a smile as the girls looked at him and were surprised that another video game character was brought to life.

"Did you find the same code that Dipper found?" Lilith asked Mimi as she nodded while having teatime with Ralph, and it was still an unusual sight to see.

"Yeah, Mimi tried Carnevil, but I suggested something a little easier," Thompson said as he was part of the tea party that was going on.

Rias winced as she recalled that game, "a wise move on your part."

"Well nice to meet you, Ralph!" Mabel said cheerfully and shook the giant man's hand. "We just meet another guy who's from a videogame. We didn't get to ask but what's it like living in a videogame?"

Ralph shrugged, [it's alright. My job is to wreck things and I'm pretty good at it. Then Felix comes with his dad's magic hammer and fixes everything. Sometimes he wins and he gets a medal and sometimes I win and get a Game Over.]

At this, he slouched slightly, the mood dropping. The others noticed right away. "You okay man?" Thompson asked. In the short time walking with the character he had gotten to know him and felt he was an okay guy.

Ralph sighed. [Yeah, it's just…I know it my job to wreck the place but lately, I have been feeling like I'm not appreciated.]

"Why?" Mabel asked, frowning at how Ralph was feeling. "Aren't you one of the main characters in your game? Besides Felix, there's barely anyone in the game."

"Is he causing you problems?" Dani asked, hoping to find a way to help.

Ralph shook his head. [No, Felix is super nice. There's never any hard feelings at the end of the day. If anything, he's always super friendly to everyone, even he offered to build a landing pad for when he wins and I'm thrown off the roof. I declined since the mud was soft enough and it doesn't hurt at all.] He sighs again, [the Nicelanders on the other hand, they hate me.]

"Why would they hate you for doing your job?" questioned Lilith in confusion. "It sounds like the only ones that do anything in your game are you and Felix. It can't be because you are wrecking their building, it gets fixed up so easily in the end and doesn't cost them anything."

Ralph shrugged, [it's to be expected. I'm the bad guy after all.]

"But you don't hurt anyone," Mabel countered from what she recalled from the game. "Besides Felix but he had powerups to help him. Plus you said he's the one that isn't even mad when you do win."

"Not to mention they did force you off the land," Rias added. "At the end of the day they stay in that building and you go to…I'm actually not sure where you go to."

[I go back to my stump at the dump,] Ralph answered, a small smile forming at he recalled his home. He then noticed their looks and added, [It's a lot more comfortable than you think. I have thick skin, so the bricks feel alright after patting them down.]

"They do treat you unfairly," Mabel pointed out to the big man.

Chi gave a huff, "if anything you are in the right. They should consider themselves lucky they even have someone to fix their home. You could have forced them to give you the biggest room there."

Ralph gave her a look, [I don't need a big fancy house or room. Besides, I'm just the bad guy.]

"So?" Chi asked, not seeing the issue.

The others frowned at this while Mimi sat down next to Ralph and hugged him. Ralph was surprised by the display of affection and patted the girl's back. Mabel sat down on his other side and patted his arm, "Hey now, don't be like that. Just because you're the 'Bad Guy' doesn't mean you're a 'bad' guy."

"Honestly you're very important to the game," Rias explained, getting the game character to look at her. She offered a grin that Thompson normally saw had when she was up to something when she hung with their group of friends. "Without you, there is no game."

"She's right," Dani added with a grin. "They can't have the game without you!"

Ralph thought it over, glancing from each of their faces before ending with Mimi. The girl gave him another hug which brought a smile to the man's face. He nodded, seeing that they were right.

(scene change)

The clock tower overlooking circle park chimed at three when the boys reached Circle Park. While the walk from the Mystery Shack wasn't too long none of the guys could say it wasn't uneventful. During the walk, Rumble questioned the boys on Robbie's 'special moves' even if they assured him that there wouldn't be an issue. Rumble then surprised them by revealing a lead pipe and swung it around as a weapon to prepare for Robbie. They had no idea where he managed to get that and after taking it from them asked where he had gotten it. He responded by stating he punched an oil drum for it, which surprised them as they didn't recall him punching any oil drums. But the most shocking was when the fighter picked up an actual sword from the middle of the street. After taking that away from the fighter, they found that it was a very real sword. This had them wondering why a dangerous weapon was just lying in the middle of the street like that. It was actually suggested that since Rumble was a video game character, the world around him also follow the same video game logic at least when Rumble was interacting with him. Since walking down a street can be seen a side-scrolling, powerups and weapons would be to be picked up.

The rest of the walk was uneventful and they had Rumble wait by the shadows of the trees and come if they call him. Rumble nodded, not seeing any issue with the call out, and waited out of sight. The group found Robbie sitting on a bench, waiting for Dipper. Seeing his target, he jumped off the bench. "Well, well, well, look who decided to show up," Robbie taunts as he walks towards them. "I thought you would be too chick-what are you two doing here?"

Robbie was taken aback to seeing Lee and Nate next to Dipper and Junior. He figured Junior would try and help Dipper but didn't think much of it. his friends however were a different story.

"We heard what happen," Lee said, both older boys stepping up to talk their friend down. "And this isn't needed, dude."

"Yeah we both know you won't actually fight him," Nate added crossing his arms.

Robbie scowled before glaring at Dipper, "oh I get it; too chicken to face me like a man so you forced these two to fight for yea."

"We came ourselves, he didn't beg or even ask us," Nate denied evenly.

Lee placed a hand on Robbie's shoulder. "Dude we know you, we both know you're not looking for a fight. Let's just talk it out like guys okay?"

"Not this time," Robbie denied stubbornly. "The dude has a crush on Wendy like me and ruining any chance to ask her out."

"I don't have a crush on Wendy!" Dipper tried to explain, exasperated.

"Come on man, does he look like the guy to lie to us?" Nate asked Robbie. "Besides do you honestly think Wendy would go for a guy like him?" He blinked before addressing Dipper, "no offense dude."

"None taken," Dipper said truthfully.

Robbie scowled and pushed Lee's hand off his shoulder. "I'm not backing down, not this time man."

Lee and Nate shared a look, surprised by how Robbie was this time around. "okay before you even try to fight, we got someone we want you to meet first,"

Junior whistled as the signal to Rumble, who stepped out of the tree line and got into his idle animation.

"Who's your friend?" Robbie asked before he squinted at him to try and get more details of him. "And why is he blurry?"

"Dude we actually managed to bring a videogame character to life," Nate explained with a grin.

"And if you want to fight so badly, why not fight him?" Lee suggested with a matching grin, knowing Robbie would never fight someone as big and strong-looking as Rumble even if he was only 2-D.

Robbie gave a short laugh, "very funny guys."

[How can you laugh when you killed this boy's father?] Rumble asked, jabbing a finger at Robbie.

"What?" Robbie asked confused.

"He's stuck in game mode," Junior explained. "His reasoning to fight a boss is just the same as his game."

"Last chance to back down," Dipper offered a final olive branch.

"Why don't you back down?" Robbie countered with a huff.

"Round one," Lee joked before Nate finishes with; "Fight!"

Robbie was forced to duck when Rumble threw a punch at him. The teen tried to flee but Rumble caught him by his hoodie and held him over his head. "Had enough?" Junior asked, knowing this would get Robbie to stop his feud with Dipper.

"Alright! Alright!" Robbie conceded but Rumble slammed him into the ground hard.

This causes the boys to flinch, thinking it was a little much since Robbie surrendered. "Whoa take it easy," Dipper said to Rumble, "I think he had enough."

But Rumble took no heed as he grabbed Robbie again and tossed him into the air. Robbie flew and landed in the metal jungle-gym. "That guy's crazy!" he said as he tried to get off.

The others watched in horror as Rumble changed up an energy attack for a few seconds before he fired his attack with a loud [Fireball!]

Robbie manage to get off the jungle gym and ran as the fireball broke the metal apart. Dipper turned to the idling Rumble, "what the heck was that? You could have killed him!"

Rumble turned towards Dipper. [I will not rest till the man who dishonored you has been destroyed!] He ended this by punching a tree that had a poster for Robbie's band, nearly snapping the tree in two while destroying the poster. Rumble then roared as he charged after Robbie, punching and destroying objects as he went.

"This is bad," Junior summarized wide-eyed.

"On man, he's gonna kill Robbie!" Lee panicked.

"And it's our fault!" Nate added, fearing for his bro.

Dipper gained a determined look, "We got to help him."

"Do we have to?" Junior asked as he got looks and then shrugged. "Alright, let's help him."

With that said, they chased Rumble down the street as Rumble himself chased Robbie. They followed along until they reached a factory called Barrels and Crates.

"Dude, I think they're doing Donkey Kong," Nate said as he watched Robbie dodge barrels to get away from Rumble, and yet there was one thing that Dipper couldn't help but question.

"Why did I feel like this was the first place they would come to?" Dipper asked as Junior just shrugged as they followed Rumble some more, smashing with an uppercut while saying 'all you can eat' at an outdoor event spilling all the food on the ground, making the Free Pizza guy sad.

"Can he slow down?" Lee asked as he and the others tried to keep up. They followed the trail of destruction Rumble was leaving, as well as the flashing pixelated [Go] in the air as well as an arrow to show they were on the right track.

They ran past a pier where a father was helping a son who was in despair over a destroyed new car. They easily figured that Rumble stopped to destroy the car before pursuing Robbie again. They didn't even pause for a moment as they kept running.

The others stopped at an intersection, panting and allowing Junior and Dipper to catch their breath. A few seconds later a brown pickup stopped next to them, showing Soos was driving. To their surprise, there were what looked like broken arcade machine pieces around his head and arms. "Soos!" Dipper cried in surprise. "Where've you been?"

"Long story man," Soos answered before pointing down the road. "Did you guys see that video game guy destroying everything in sight? It's crazy."

"We kinda accidentally brought him to life," Dipper admitted.

"Now we got to stop him before he kills Robbie," Junior added, even if she was unhappy about it.

Soos beamed, "you guys need an amiable sidekick with a pickup truck?"

Dipper returned the grin, "you know it."

"Sweet!" Nate called out as the four got into Soos's truck and he took off, hopefully, to stop Rumble from killing Robbie.

(scene change)

Robbie pants as he climbed the big water tower, he had spray-painted, leaning against the side to rest. "Finally," he gasps as he tries and calms his nerves. "I'm safe."

[Challenger sighted!]

Robbie stiffens as he dared peek over the side and screamed when he saw Rumble at the bottom of the tower. "Ahh! Not safe! Not safe!"

[You can hide, but you cannot hide!] Rumble stated, pointing to Robbie.

The fight fighter landed a strong kick that shook the tower. Robbie screamed as he tried to hang on tight. Rumble unleashed a rapid combo on the already weaken leg of the water tower.

The tower shook and swayed with Robbie trying to keep his balance. Another shockwave shook the tower and Robbie fell towards the ground screaming. The good news is that someone caught him before he hit the ground. The bad news however was that someone was Rumble, holding the teen up by his hood.

[Finish Him!]

Robbie saw the pixilated letters appear above them as well as a loud voice demanding it, making him connect the dots and screamed knowing this was not good. He saw Rumble pull his fist back and was glowing with power. "No! No! Don't!" Robbie tried to say fearing for his life.

But before Rumble could go through with his attack, a rock smacked him in the back of his head, causing the game character to stop his attack and turn his head in confusion, a cutscene like the animation to go along with it.

"Rumble!" Dipper said, holding two wooden boards to give the video game cut scene effect before tossing, "This has to stop."

"Yeah man," Junior agreed, stepping next to his friend. "You're going too far."

[But this man killed your father] Rumble explained holding Robbie towards them.

"You're stuck on game mode dude," Junior tried to explain but it didn't seem to get through to him.

"None of our fathers' are dead," Dipper admitted, causing Rumble to gasp.

"We thought it would be funny to scare Robbie after that stunt he pulled," Lee said before Nate added, "we didn't think you would go this far."

"I'm sorry we lied to you," Dipper finally said with a grimace.

Rumble seemed confused before he concluded. [That means you all are the bad guys.]

"I guess we are," Dipper agreed since it seemed true from the video game character's point of view.

Rumble hanged Robbie's up on a tree branch before he turned, and a cut scene played. As the four boys watched this, hearing the 'inner' debate of Rumble, his honor, and how he was led astray, Lee looked to the others. "It's over right?"

Junior however grimace, "I don't think so." Seeing the looks he added, "when a cut scene happens in a fighting game it is either before a big fight or after one. And since one didn't happen yet…"

"Oh," both teens said before their eyes went wide as they understood what he meant. "Ooooh," they said before they also grimace as they realize what was going to happen next. "ooh."

[If Robbie V. isn't the last stage; then it must be…] Rumble turned and pointed right at them, the background behind him a flashing array of colors. [YOOOOOUUU!]

A flash came beside Dipper and he saw the same [Start] button as before. Realizing the only way to end this was to fight he held a hand out to press the button. Soos however ran up, finally finding a place to park his truck and catch up. He pants before he said, "Don't fight him, man," Soos said to Dipper. "He's got like a black belt tied around his black belt! You could get killed."

Dipper disagreed. "I have to Soos. I help start this mess and I got to try and finish it."

"Not alone you're not," Junior stated determinedly.

Nate nodded, "We got your back bro."

Lee grinned down at him. "We're totally gonna die here, but if we're going down we might as well go down swinging."

"You sure you wouldn't rather hide like a wimp?" Soos asked to try and give his buddy an out.

Dipper's only reply was his slamming his fist into the start button, confirming the fight. Soos nodded with pride as he watched the group step forward. "Fight like a man it is."

Around them, the group got into somewhat fighting stances, Rumble in his idle animation while Lee and Nate held their hands up in awkward boxer like stances. Dipper tried to copy the older boys but notices Rumble's stance and he swayed to the rhythm and he felt more confident. Junior held a comfortable stance he knew when his mother started to teach them how to fight without weapons. He wasn't that good but out of them all, he had the best stances besides Rumble.

[Ready?]

They heard the announcement as below them just out of view were several boxes showing their names and what Dipper figured was their health.

{Dipper: 100%} {Jr: 100%} {Lee: 100%} {Nate: 100%} {Rumble: 100%}

Soos covered his eyes, not wanting to watch the fight. Though he did peek and took a quick picture with this phone.

[Fight!]

The boys gave battle cries as they ran towards Rumble. Rumble himself quickly charged a fireball and unleashed it at the boys. They were forced to stop their charge and jumped out of the way of the attack, the fireball destroying one of the trees behind them. They barely had time to get back into their feet before Rumble was upon them. He performed a powerful spinning kick that sent Lee and Nate flying back before he punched Junior in the stomach and a right hook that knocked the son of the reaper down. Dipper watched his friends be knocked away, but this was a mistake. Rumble was on Dipper in an instant, slamming his fist on top of his head, followed by two jabs to his chest, and then Rumble finished the combo by a powerful uppercut that sent Dipper flying in the air. He crashed on a heap next to his friends who were groaning from the rush down.

{Dipper: 69%} {Jr: 71%} {Lee: 84%} {Nate: 86%} {Rumble: 100%}

Rumble laughed at the poor attempts at fighting, [Ha-ha-ha! You fight like a girl, who is also a baby!]

"Up yours," Lee moaned as he got back up.

"He's now my least favorite character," Nate added climbing back to his feet.

"It's a fighting game," Junior reminded them. "We can hurt him just like he is hurting us."

"We just need to hit him," Dipper agreed, all four back into fighting stances as Rumble walked towards them.

Nate glanced down towards where their HP stats were located. "Lee and I got the most health. We'll distract him and give one of you dudes an opening to hit him."

"Well better do it now," Junior said as Rumble leaped towards them. "Here he comes."

The four boys manage to get out of the way of the attack before Lee and Nate got on either said of Rumble. The fighter kept flipping back and forth between them as his animation was limited it seems. The teens took this as their moment to attack. However even if Rumble was limited to only being able to attack and defend from one side, he was fast enough to turn back and forth and kept his attacks up. Lee and Nate staggered from the blows but kept going until Rumble grabbed Lee and tossed him right into Nate. The two crashed into the ground and groaned.

{Dipper: 69%} {Jr: 71%} {Lee: 65%} {Nate: 67%} {Rumble: 100%}

Junior tried to use this moment to launch a flying kick at Rumble, only for the fight fighter to catch his leg before it connected and with a quick spin tossed the boy away. Before Rumble could even attempt to follow through, Dipper appeared in his blind spot and landed an uppercut onto Rumble. The hit seems to have a surprising amount of strength behind it as it lifted not only Dipper into the air but Rumble. All the boys manage to look up as the pair landed, Rumble landing on his back. They all quickly glanced towards their HP stats.

{Dipper: 69%} {Jr: 68%} {Lee: 65%} {Nate: 67%} {Rumble: 99%}

"Oh come on!" Junior screamed.

"I call bullshit!" Lee added angrily.

Dipper himself paled as Rumble got to his feet, his eyes glaring at the smaller boy. He had no time to react when Rumble crouched down and did rapid multi-handed palm strikes that knocked Dipper around, taking damage for each hit. Dipper stumbled from the last hit before he got hit with the uppercut that sent him flying.

{Dipper: 34%} {Jr: 68%} {Lee: 65%} {Nate: 67%} {Rumble: 99%}

"We need a new plan," Dipper mumbled from his prone position.

While he was down the others had gotten to their feet when the other three noticed something. Next to Junior was a lead pipe, but it was flashing and had a small triangle over it. Junior raised a brow and grabbed it. He found it jumped into his hands and now had a weapon. He glanced from it to Rumble before he grins, "payback time buddy!"

Junior charged and swung the pipe at Rumble, but the fight fighter used his forearms to block the blows from taking too much damage. No matter how many times he swings, Junior just couldn't get a hit.

{Dipper: 34%} {Jr: 68%} {Lee: 65%} {Nate: 67%} {Rumble: 96%}

Seeing that items could be used, the three remaining fighters looked around to try and find something that can be used to help them. The two teens grabbed their own lead pipes and a wooden baseball bat and dove to help Junior in attacking Rumble. Dipper on the other hand was trying to find something that can turn the fight in their favor since he knew they can't just use brute strength to win this. He tossed junk aside as he looked under them, thinking of video game mechanics he checked under random items and even braking into a wooden box off to the side. Luckily the logic came through as he found a round black cartoonish bomb with an old fashion fuse on top. Dipper grinned as he grabbed the bomb, knowing all he would need to do was throw it. He glanced up to check on his friends and saw their weapons have been broken and were now knocked away from Rumble.

{Dipper: 34%} {Jr: 45%} {Lee: 54%} {Nate: 51%} {Rumble: 93%}

Seeing that his friends wouldn't be caught in the blast Dipper threw the bomb right at Rumble. Rumble quickly noticed the bomb and countered with a move Dipper didn't expect. Rumble twist his body around before he spun and backhanded the bomb. The armed weapon bounced right off Rumble's attack and went right back to Dipper, who was too busy gapping to run away. The bomb landed at his feet and exploded, sending the boy tumbling through the air.

{Dipper: 18%} {Jr: 45%} {Lee: 54%} {Nate: 51%} {Rumble: 93%}

Dipper screamed and closed his eyes as he got closer to the ground. But to his surprise, he didn't hit it as he was caught. Being held up by the back of his vest he opens his eyes, hoping it was one of his friends that caught him.

It wasn't.

"H-h-hey Rumble," Dipper greeted the glaring Fight Fighter. "I don't suppose we can talk this out huh?"

[A true Fight Fighter talks with his fist!] Rumbled countered before he slammed his fist into Dipper's stomach and then tossed the boy behind him.

Dipper crashed into a large crate, breaking it and spilling many white boxes out, and was buried in them.

{Dipper:1%} {Jr: 45%} {Lee: 54%} {Nate: 51%} {Rumble: 93%}

Seeing their friend was attacked again Junior, Nate and Lee jumped on Rumble's body; hoping to drag the man down. He barely stumbled and he worked to shake the boys free.

Slow, who had been forced to the side when the match started, tried to help however he could. He held a broom in his hand and swatted it at the reading for Rumble's HP. The image distorted as the broom moved through it but otherwise, it wasn't changed. "Worth a shot," Soos told himself before he ran over to where Dipper crashed landed. "You okay dude?"

{Dipper: 100%} {Jr: 45%} {Lee: 54%} {Nate: 51%} {Rumble: 93%}

Dipper popped out of the pile, feeling like he wasn't hurt at all. "What happened? I feel defeated, yet inexpiably rejuvenated."

He picked up one of the boxes that were piled on him and noticed it was a rectangular box with round edges that was completely white except for a large Red Cross in the center of the box. It clicked in his mind and gasped. "Health packs."

He glanced at his friends and saw Rumble unleashing his fury upon them. The boys tried to fight back but all attempted were shattered with Rumble's overwhelming offense. The Fight Fighter ended his bout when swept the boys' legs from under them and use the momentum to land a spinning kick that sent them flying into a crumpled heap.

{Dipper: 100%} {Jr: 18%} {Lee: 14%} {Nate: 17%} {Rumble: 93%}

"Guys! Catch!" Dipper shouts before he starts throwing several health packs towards them. He didn't know how many would be needed to fully heal his friends so he wasn't taking any chances.

The health packs tumbled through the air and landed on each of his friends. The health packs vanished when they touched them with a small sparkle effect before they open their eyes as the items worked their magic.

{Dipper: 100%} {Jr: 100%} {Lee: 100%} {Nate: 100%} {Rumble: 93%}

Dipper cheered seeing this work, only to freeze when he noticed a shadow covering him. He looked up to see Rumble glaring at him. He tried to run by was grabbed by the back of his vest before the Fight Fighter started to beat him once more.

It didn't take long for the other three boys to realize what had happened and were once again back on their feet. Seeing Dipper needed help, they looked around for something to use as weapons. The game they were fighting in granted in unasked request as two boxes suddenly dropped from the sky and landed behind the teens while Junior noticed one box landed behind the fighting duo. Seeing his friend getting hurt from the attack Junior decided to take the risk and ran for the box farthest from them. Lee and Nate however raced to the nearest boxes and open them instantly which had them beam widely. They pulled out their weapons, a rocket launcher for Nate and a small laser looking gun. "Oh yeah," Lee whispered as he heard the slight charge of his weapon.

"Payback time boi," Nate agreed as he turned the site of the weapon towards Rumble. They waited until Rumble and slammed Dipper to the ground away from him before they fire their weapons. Lee had a large laser bolt from his weapon while Nate has a slow-moving rocket. Rumble noticed the new treats and quickly jumped to avoid them before they blew up the ground. He landed by Dipper as the teens fired again. Rumble quickly grabbed Dipper and tossed him right at the teens before he unleashed a fireball at them. The teens manage to catch Dipper before he hit the ground but this left them defenseless for the fireball which sent the three flyings.

{Dipper: 59%} {Jr: 100%} {Lee: 75%} {Nate: 74%} {Rumble: 93%}

Rumble took a step towards them but stopped when he heard someone shout behind him. "Hey, Meathead!"

Rumble turned around to see his reflection in a large square mirror that Junior was holding. The mini reaper grinned as his item did its work. The mirror vanishes with a videogame sound effect but his form seems to glitch before reforming into an exact copy of Rumble with the only difference was Junior's headband was blue instead of red. [Why don't you pick on someone your own size?] Junior said now in the same speech pattern as Rumble.

[I will not be defeated by a copy!] Rumbled countered before he went on the attack.

The two meet in a blur of fist and kicks, the real Rumble showing he was still the superior fighter as he was overtaking Junior.

{Dipper: 59%} {Jr: 81%} {Lee: 75%} {Nate: 74%} {Rumble: 89%}

Dipper manages to get to his feet and saw Junior fighting Rumble after using the Copy-mirror item but he knew it would not be enough. Looking around he saw that Nate still had his rocket launcher weapon with no doubt another rocket. "Hey what model is that?" Dipper asked Nate, having an idea but he needed to make sure it was the right weapon.

Nate blinked at the question but shifted the weapon around till he found a brand on the side. "It says Mark IV."

This caused Dipper to beam, "that means that version has a lock-on mode. The rocket will chase Rumble around even if he dodges it."

"You heard the man!" Lee said as he pointed to the fighting pair. "Lock onto that blond bastard and blow him to hell!"

"Roger! Roger!" Nate agreed as he kneels and aim the launcher but paused as he noticed a problem. "They both look the same! Which one do I shoot?"

Indeed, with the two fighting so close to one another and moving so much it was near impossible to see who was who from just glancing at them alone. The red headbanded Rumble swept the legs of the blue headbanded one before he jumped on the down Fight Fighter and started to punch him while he was down. The other held his arms up to block but was still taking damage from the hits.

{Dipper: 59%} {Jr: 67%} {Lee: 75%} {Nate: 74%} {Rumble: 83%}

[Shoot the one who's winning!] Junior said as he took more damage.

"We can't fire with Junior there," Dipper said, worried for his friend.

{Dipper: 59%} {Jr: 58%} {Lee: 75%} {Nate: 74%} {Rumble: 83%}

"He can't take much more," Lee countered, gritting his teeth at the idea. "We might not have another chance."

Nate however disagreed. "I can't hurt a bro like this."

Thankfully they didn't have to wait long as Junior manages to kick Rumble off him. But before he fully got to his feet, Rumble uppercuts him into the air before slamming him back down with an overhead punch. Junior's form shattered as his copy form broke and he bounced to the boys, showing that not only lost the mirror copy skin but his human look leaving his normal bone form.

{Dipper: 59%} {Jr: 49%} {Lee: 75%} {Nate: 74%} {Rumble: 83%}

"Wow," Lee said with a chuckle. "He knocked the white right off you."

"Is that racist?" Dipper couldn't help but ask as he pulled Junior up.

"Who cares," Junior countered, pointing to Rumble. "Let him have it!"

Nate was already locking onto Rumble while this was happening. "Fire in the Hole!"

He fired the rocket as it sped towards Rumble. Rumble himself turned and ran while the rocket followed him. Them Fight Fighter ran to a tree and ran up the trunk before he jumped off and ran in the other direction. The rocket turned in the air and kept on Rumble. Lee laughed seeing this, "sorry but you won't be able to run away from…oh shit!"

It then did he realize that Rumble and the rocket were heading right towards them. Seeing the danger, the boy tried to scramble away but kept bumping into each other. Rumble slammed his fist together before he rushed pass the boys, cloth-lining them all.

{Dipper: 48%} {Jr: 40%} {Lee: 67%} {Nate: 68%} {Rumble: 83%}

But their troubles weren't over as while tossed in the air by the attack the rocket kept flying and exploded right on them. This sent all the boys flying in the air before crashing down to the ground.

They lay for a moment, groaning in pain but still able to move. "Hacks…" Lee coughed from his position. "I call hacks."

He then noticed something glowing above them. He glanced up and saw a sphere the size of a basketball blowing a rainbow aura while showing a fist icon on the front. He gasped, "A Fight ball!"

They all got to their feet, despite the protest of their bodies, and saw the powerful item. "If we can get that then we can use a super move too" Lee started to say as he points to the item.

But Rumble had other plans as he jumped into the air and smashed his fist through the Fight Ball, breaking the item and covering himself in the rainbow aura.

Lee slowly lowered his hand and gave Rumble a deadpan look. "You know what? Fuck this game and fuck you, dude." Nate shared this feeling as he raised his hands and gave Rumble the bird.

Dipper glanced down towards their health gages and slumped down. "We won't be able to survive this."

The boys all knew this as Rumble held his fist in the air and lightning formed around it before blue flames and energy formed around Rumble's body. Lee took a deep breath, "Men!" he called out, causing them to jump and look at him. He turned towards them and gave a salute. "It has been an honor and a privilege."

The boys blinked before they grew serious faces and returned the salute of respect to their comrade. They knew that this was the end but if they were going to lose, painfully no doubt, then they will go out swinging. As they lowered the salute Junior held his fist in the air, "C'mon You Ape! You Wanna Live Forever!"

The other three raised their fist and gave battle cries as they made their last charge at Rumble.

Rumble then launched at them all and started rapid punching them all while the announcer voiced the attack with the letters appearing. "Super Power Ninja Turbo Neo Ultra Hyper Mega Multi Alpha Meta Extra Uber Prefix COMBO!"

The attack knocked Dipper around before it ended in an explosion with the mushroom cloud shaped like a fist. He crashed and landed on his back defeated. Rumble stood after the attack with his back to the 'screen' and a kanji on his bareback.

And the Winner is…. Rumble McSkirmish!

[Winners don't lose!] Rumble said as the fanfare started to end, but a coin toss towards Rumble and a phrase spoke out "A New Challenge Approaches!"

Rumble was stunned by this news and turned around. Lo and behold there was Mimi in her human guise holding a sign that said, "step away from the boys."

[Are you a new Fight Fighter? You do not look like a fighter.] Rumble seemed to mock Mimi as she just stood her ground with her usual face, which never seemed to change from its stoic look before flipping the sign around in ways to have a conversation.

[I am Mimi, daughter of Him, and fiancee to Dipper Pines. I saw you beating up my fiancee and came to issue a challenge. But I am not fighting alone.] Mimi then showed her demonic form and beside her was Ralph, not looking too pleased.

[Hey Rumble, you do realize you aren't in the game right? And that means you can't go beating up kids like that.] Ralph cracked his knuckles as he was ready to fight. [I may be the bad guy in my game, but you're the bad guy right now. That means I'm going to wreck you!]

"Phrasing," Lee said despite being beaten up.

But that was nothing compared to Rumble's confusion on a bad guy calling him a bad guy. It didn't make any sense to him.

[I am not the bad guy here. You cannot trick me.]

[No tricks,] Ralph said as he held his hands up ready to fight. [Just a beatdown.]

Mimi didn't show a new sign simply using one of her claws to slightly pull her lower eyelid down while sticking out her tongue cutely. Rumble growled as he got into his idle animation, ready to right.

The boys glanced at one another before they helped get towards where Soos was off to the side, to make sure they weren't caught in another fight.

[Ready?]

Neither side said anything with Ralph and Rumble in active fighting stances while Mimi looks relax and almost bored. Dipper hoped she would be okay in this fight or at least have Ralph protect her.

[Fight!]

Both of the larger males ran forward and punch at their opponents which met in the middle with a heavy impact. Before Rumble could throw another punch, he felt something splat across his face before another and another. He backed away to try and wipe whatever it was away and found it was painted. With a quick glance, he saw Mimi next to Ralph, shooting a paintball gun at Rumble. [That's cheating!] he declared before he was hit by Ralph.

Ralph didn't let up as he locked his fist together and slammed them on top of the Fight Fighter. Rumble crashed to the ground and before he could retaliate Ralph was over him and rapidly pounded his fists in a blur as if to flatten him into the ground. After a few moments of this Rumble manage to gather enough energy to push up and knock Ralph away before getting back to his feet. Seeing his chance while Ralph was still getting up, Rumble charged at the other video game character only to stumble as a heavy iron slammed into his face. He shook his head and saw that Mimi was once again holding items, another iron, and the second a bowling ball. Growling at the clear cheating in his eyes, Rumble ran at Mimi with an angry roar. Mimi didn't even look phase as she swung her arm around and threw the iron at the Fight Fighter. But Rumble was ready this time and ducked under the attack, only to freeze in pain from the follow-up.

Turns out after Mimi threw the iron, she lined up the blowing ball and rolled it towards Rumble, hitting a rock just as he ducked so the heavy ball hit him right below the belt. Rumble stumbled, covering his injured crotch, all while yelling, [Illegal hit! That's not allowed!]

Off to the side, the boys winced at this. "Oh, I feel sorry for him," Nate admitted.

"That's just dirty," Lee agreed, hoping that Mimi wouldn't get any ideas the next time she hung out with the gang.

Fortunately, or unfortunately depending on who you asked, Rumble's game form manages to recover enough to keep fighting. He tried to attack Mimi again, but Ralph was on the attack once more. Ralph's shoulder slammed Rumble while he was distracted causing the blond to turn and trade blows with the other video game character. They seemed evenly matched with Ralph's size allowing him to tank the hits better and attack while Rumble was faster and blocked more often but still took some damage even when blocking. The two were so focused on each other they didn't see Mimi walking behind Rumble, carrying a gold club, and a golf-ball. She dropped the golf ball before she lined up her shot. With a small wiggle of her hips and tail, which Dipper thought was kinda cute, Mimi pulled the club back and smacked the ball. The tiny ball struck the back of Rumble's head, causing him to stagger. Ralph took this moment to clench his fists and slammed them on the ground, causing the whole area to shake. Rumble tried to keep his balance but Mimi, still behind him, swung her club at his legs and knocked him to the ground.

The boys were watching in awe at how they were handling Rumble so easily. Lee noticed that the laser gun he used before was still here and laying on the ground. Seeing that while Ralph and Mimi were winning, he felt that the faster they defeated Rumble the better. "Mimi! Heads up!" He shouts as he tossed the gun towards her.

Mimi caught the laser gun and turned the barrel towards Rumble. Rumble froze from his attempt to get back to his feet as Mimi stood between the legs, staring at the weapon pointed right at his head. He flinched when Mimi somehow pulled the trigger with her claws, only to hear a loud 'Click'. Rumble opens his eyes as Mimi tried to fire again but the gun once more just clicked.

Nate smacked Lee's shoulder, "Dude you can't just toss a weapon to them without making sure it has ammo first."

"My bad," Lee admitted.

Rumble laughed at his good luck. [Ah-ha! See that cheating won't get you-oof!] he was cut off when Mimi adjusted herself so one foot stepped into his stomach. She flipped the laser gun around so she held it by the barrel and holding it like a golf club. Rumble panicked seeing what her target was and grabbed the nearest object to try and protect himself. [Protect me cone!]

Mimi swung her weapon and struck Rumble right between the legs. This sent the Fight Fighter flying before he tumbled and held his injured pride. He tried to get up but paused when he noticed a shadow falling over him. He tried to glance up but didn't have the animation, so he rolled onto his back to see Ralph had climbed the water tower and was glaring down at him. Rumble was confused but he was the only one as the boys watching couldn't help but get excited. "And here comes Ralph the Wrecker on the top ropes!" Junior called out as if he was the announcer at a wrestling match.

"Watch Out! Watch Out! Watch Out!" Dipper added causing the rest to cheer.

Ralph couldn't keep the grin off his face when he heard that. With a mighty leap, he jumped into the air and hovered for a few seconds over Rumble. When gravity/game physics took over once more he leads forward and held his fist in front of him so it made the most impact. Rumble tried to escape but it was too late. Ralph slammed into the ground, causing a large dust cloud to cover them both. Everyone waited, spotting a shadowy figure emerging and hoped it was their friend. Ralph stepped out of the cloud, a grin on his face before he walked to Mimi and shared a high five with her.

[Finish Him!]

The Game declared loudly, causing everyone to turn back to the fading dust cloud. Somehow, Rumble manages to stand but was swaying in a daze. Ralph glances at Mimi, who pointed towards the sky with her claw. Ralph nodded and gave Rumble a massive uppercut that sent the blond rocketing into the sky and out of sight. As the others tried to find the fighter, none of them noticed Mimi until she manages to drag a nearby concrete divider into the stage. They watched as she glanced up before pushing the divider with her foot, adjusting it. They found out why when Rumble came back down and landed on the divider, his legs going on either side all the impact going into his pixilated crotch.

The boys all cried out in phantom pain and covered themselves, believe that even after the beating they took, that wasn't something they wish on the Fight Fighter. Rumble froze and held himself as he slides off to the side. [Why won't you just kill me?] he managed to whimper before he landed on the ground.

[Ralph and Mimi Wins]

[Flawless Victory]

[Fatality!]

[Killing you would be too easy.] Mimi's sign said as she tossed it aside and went back to her human form as Ralph made a victory pose.

[Game Over]

An announcement came as Rumble started to de-pixelate at a rapid pace. Soon he was gone and the boys all cheered. They all ran to Ralph and Mimi to thank them for their help but stopped as they watched in slight horror at Ralph. Due to the game being over, Ralph was de-pixellating as well but at a slower rate. Ralph noticed but had a bit of a smile as he looked at Mimi. [Well, at least I did some good, and now it's back to the game. Be good now Mimi and let's play again sometime.]

Mimi quickly hugged Ralph who returned it. He smiled and waved at them as he vanished back to the game world. Dipper noticed that Mimi didn't make any mention that suggested she made any promises, that she was happy that she had fun as she never showed any real emotion even after all that. But Dipper could tell she enjoyed playing with Ralph and was sad to see him go. Dipper placed a hand on her shoulder, getting her attention. "Hey, don't feel bad Mimi. We'll see Ralph again and you can go play his game anytime you miss him."

Mimi nodded, and he could tell she was feeling better by that.

"What just happened, and who were those guys!?"

Nearly everyone jumped at the sudden voice and turned to see that Robbie manage to get himself down from the tree branch Rumble placed him on. He glared at them, more importantly, Dipper. "I am so fucking mad right now!"

Robbie looked at Dipper as his perceived problem and stomped right up to him before Mimi stood in between them. "Outta the way Mimi, I gotta."

"What happened here? Was there a freak tornado or something?" The voice that called out was Wendy, as she had just got back in time to get everyone's attention with the question from her camping trip.

"Wendy!" the boys called out, not expecting her to be there. Robbie grimaced as he didn't want his crush to see him like this. Lee and Nate ran over with Dipper, Junior, and Mimi following them. "You won't believe what happen!"

"Try me," Wendy said as he looked around the destruction around the area before noticing the state her friends and crush were in. "Were you guys in a fight? What happen?"

"We found a code at the arcade that brought a character to life" Lee explained to her.

Whatever Wendy was expecting, it wasn't that. "No fooling?"

"Yeah it was awesome," Nate added before he winced, "until we showed Robbie. Then there was a problem."

"What happened?" Wendy asked as she slowly started to connect the dots. "Wait did you guys end up fighting whoever you guys brought here.

Behind the Robbie watched as Wendy asked them more questions. He could easily go one and tell how they nearly had a mad man kill him. He could easily tell Wendy what happened but as he walked over his scowl slowly lessen into a frown. He knew he would easily play victim to hopefully get Wendy to listen to him enough to ask her out later but then he remembered the fight itself. He didn't like how his bros Lee and Nate seem to side with Dipper but they not only got beaten up to save him but so did Dipper and Junior. They didn't have to but they still did.

He glazed to Dipper, looking uncomfortable as Wendy asked for more. He still didn't like Dipper at all and he still believed that he was crushing on Wendy too but he did save him. he believed it was his fault in the first place but Robbie knew that was a lie. He took a deep breath and stepped into the conversation. "It was my fault."

They caused everyone to stop and turn towards him. The guys were the most surprised since Robbie was pretty much taking most of the blame. "You Robbie? Wendy asked, raised a brow at her friend.

Robbie ignored this and went on. "Like the guys said they found some code or something that brought a videogame character to life and they wanted to show me. I didn't believe them and kinda got the guy mad. He took it the wrong way and he tried to fight me. I ran but I got caught, and the guys ended up fighting the guy instead. They got their asses beat too but they save mine. I owe them..." here he glances at Dipper, and their eyes meet. He then added, "...all four of them."

Wendy looked at the others to see if he was telling the truth and they nodded since they realize what he was doing. She smiled at them all, "good to see my friends help each other out. I'll see you guys later."

Wendy returned to where her dad and brothers were as they headed back for home. Once out of ear range Dipper turned to Robbie, "uh Robbie?"

"Look I owe you one," Robbie admitted in a disgruntled tone. "It doesn't mean I'm going soft on yea. I'm watching you and your crush on Wendy."

Dipper raised his hands, not bothering to disprove his claim as even if with the favor he doubts Robbie would see he didn't have a crush. Lee and Nate however grinned at their friend. "Sure buddy," Nate joked. "Just admit he's a bro like us now."

Robbie gave him a deadpan look, however. They shared a moment of silence before Robbie said, "Hey Lee, did you know Nate has a crush on-?"

Nate's grin was gone in a flash before he jumped at Robbie with a loud, "No!"

Lee blinked at the sudden turn of events where his friends were wresting before he jumped at them, "Hey! I want to know!"

Dipper and Junior decided to leave them be, following Soos back to his truck to go rest back at the shack. They felt they had enough fighting for one day and just wanted to relax. Dipper did make a mental note to help Mimi with anything she needed or get her a treat for helping them with Rumble. Maybe something for Ralph if he was managed it. Now if only he could convince Robbie he didn't have a crush on Wendy so another incident like this wouldn't happen. Maybe have her help to settle the issue. But after thinking it over thought against it, not wanting to drag her into this since he doubts it would matter to Wendy herself.

While on the way home, Wendy shivered; feeling as if she missed an opportunity for something she wanted. She shook her head and figured she was imagining it before thinking of what she can do to help her crush after he got into a fight. She decides it was better to ask Rias for ideas after she unpacks at home.

(scene change)

The next day Dipper saw that Mimi was still a bit down from Ralph leaving so he decided she needed something to cheer her up. Luckily Dipper had the perfect idea of how to do it. To Mimi's surprise, Dipper took her back into town and toward the arcade once again. Mimi looked around to see Old Man McGucket was still at the broken dance machine, working on his record. Mimi was able to approach him when Dipper took her head and pulled her to a different machine. "I know you miss Ralph," Dipper said as he stopped with her right in from of the very game Ralph came from. "And I'm sure he misses you too."

Here he pointed to the game screen and Mimi focused on the game. Someone was already playing and won the game and now Ralph was being held over the heads of the people that owned the building that Ralph wrecked. The cut scene played like normal until Ralph lifted his head up and noticed them. His form grinned and offered a wave before he was thrown off the building. Dipper smiled and glanced at Mimi, who was staring in awe. "I think that he's going to be okay."

Dipper jumped when Mimi suddenly pulled him into a hug, thanking him for this. He smiled and patted her back. "You're welcome, Mimi."

And done! This one took a while but it was worth it. Dipper has some experience with his friends and none of them will forget about this. Heck Robbie showed some character growth in owning up to some of his faults in this episode. And considering how he acted, it was an improvement don't you think.

The fight itself was hard to go with getting the feel right, the right amount of easter eggs and references while also making it entertaining. But I will say Mimi's part was the most fun to do. She is a monster here. (shivers) And speaking of Mimi, she had cute moments and come moments with Dipper and there are more to come.

So was the fight good or did I go overboard? Can you find all the references I added this time around? Leave a review on what you think. And Remember all flames will be brought to Stan Pines who will gather them up as an attraction for the Mystery Shack so keep them coming.
