Chapter 8: Tomorrow…
I can't believe it…
I looked at the TV screen in shock.
She actually beat me! I can't believe she actually beat me!
We both were playing games and out of all the games we played, she never lost a single one.
How did I lose? Am I really out of practice?
"You know," She said, interrupting my thoughts. "There is another person out there that could beat me in a game."
"Huh? Who? Your dad?" I asked her.
She then started to giggle. "No, he couldn't even beat in a single game." She smirked. "I meant the Ultimate Gamer."
"Wait, who are you talking about?" I asked.
"Huh, you don't know?" She said in surprise. "You're saying you don't know who the Ultimates are?"
I shook my head and she sighed. "You must be living under a rock if you don't know…"
She then started to explain what the Ultimates are, students who are specialized in their own field. She also explained about how they go to this school that is only funded by the government or something like that.
"So, are there any other Ultimates you know about?" I asked.
"Not that I know of…" She then thought for a moment. "But there is one rumor that is going around here."
"Huh? What rumor?" I asked.
She then answered. "Rumors say that a psycho is going around here, calling herself a hero of justice or something…"
That sounds so familiar…where have I heard this before?
Uzume kept on explaining. "Rumors also say that she got accepted to that school under the title 'The Ultimate Heroine' but she rejected it for some reason."
"Huh? Did you know as to why?" I asked.
She shook her head. "No one knows for sure but some say that she didn't want anything to do with the school or something, but I think she is really cool!"
"Huh? Why?" I asked.
"Because she goes around fighting evil!" She answered with her eyes sparkling. "She is so cool that she goes around saving people." She then suddenly had this high-pitch voice. "She is so cool that Uzume really wants to meet her! Once Uzume meets her, we can go on many adventures! And it will really cool that…"
"Um, Uzume? What happened to your voice?" I asked.
"My voice?" She said in confusion and then she realized what happened. "Oh um *ahem* either way, she must be a really cool person."
What just happened? I then thought for a moment. She is probably hiding her personality under a mask or something…
My thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a man's voice asking. "Uzume? Is the girl here now!"
She suddenly grumbled. "Yes, she is here." She said it in a really annoyed voice.
"Oh, good!" He said as he entered the room. The man has dark brown hair and wears black glasses over his black eyes. He wears a blue dress shirt tucked into his upturned khaki slacks with a checkered dark blue tie, and a white lab coat over the top. "My name is Kohei Tennouboshi, I'll be taking care of you from here on out. It's nice to meet you."
"Yeah, it's nice to meet you too." I greeted back.
Uzume seems upset by her dad's entrance that she stood and walked to the stairs. "Guess I'll leave you two be." She then walked upstairs and I'm pretty sure I heard a door slam. Kohei looked down to the floor with a really sad expression on his face.
"Is there something wrong?" I asked.
"It's nothing…" He said sadly, he then changed his expression to a small smile.
What happened? I thought for a moment. But I shouldn't pry into people's lives…
"Either way," He suddenly started to explain my situation. "From what I heard, your parents died in an accident when you were 5. You have been transferred to different schools your entire life until now, right?"
I guess that the story Lily made up. I thought. Even though it's not what happened, it hurts…
Sorry if it's too hard for you…" He said apologetically. "It's just that…you know…"
"No, it's fine." I simply told him.
"O-Oh really?" He said in surprise. "Well, um, you will be going to school tomorrow. So, um, make sure you get ready for tomorrow. Your room is the last door to your right." He said as he pointed upstairs. "And your stuff is in there, so you don't have to worry.
He is trying to act kinda strict but failing…
"I guess I'll start unpacking." I said as I walked upstairs.
He nodded and smiled. "Oh, and don't get into trouble and don't worry about us, okay?"
"Understood…" I simply said and walked to my room.
The room itself had a bed, a table and a chair, a dressing cabinet, a blue bed, and a cardboard box in the middle.
The first thing I did was to open the box to see what was inside.
Inside were my five sets of my usually purple and white parka, my pajamas, a purple t-shirt and black shorts, and a note that said "Read Me!"
I guess I'll start by reading this…
I read what was said in the note:
Dear Neptune,
To explain why you are here, I'll tell you for top to bottom. There is a strange occurrence happening around here, you probably already experienced it earlier. I want you to find out what is going on.

I stared at the note in disbelief:
Does she mean the strange minute that I saw earlier? I shook that thought off. I'm just going to change into pajamas and put away some of my clothes…
When I changed into my pajamas, put my clothes away in the cabinet, hanged my school uniform in the closet, and finally laid down on my bed.
I guess I'm done for now… I thought. So I'm going to school tomorrow…

Where Noire, Blanc, and Vert might be…
…
I miss them…
…
I longed for those days when we had fun…
…
I feel lonely for some reason…
…
Is this how Noire feels like? Hehe that's a funny joke…
And then I drifted off to sleep.
