A month went by where Alix tried to avoid Kim and her girlfriends. On the odd occasion the girls would catch her in the cafeteria and sit with her for lunch. They'd heard from Mylene, who'd heard from Ivan, who heard from Max, who had been told by Kim what had happened. Alya hadn't quite believed it because of how many people had passed it on so had gone and demanded an explanation from Kim in person who had confirmed that Alix had decided she wasn't fit to be a girlfriend.

One particular day was no exception. Alix had come to school and avoided everyone for the first period. She'd been very quiet during class. Second period she'd managed to slip past her girlfriends and get into Miss Bustier's class. The bell had gone off and the classroom filled up, Mylene slipping into the seat beside Alix. "Are you okay Alix?" she asked softly and Alix just nodded.

About 15 minutes into the class, Alix put her hand up. "Yes Alix?" Miss Bustier asked. "Can I be excused to go to the bathroom?" she asked and Miss Bustier nodded. Alix bolted out and Mylene glanced over at her fellow girlfriends. Mylene was worried about her friend as were the other girls.

Caline had also noticed some changes in her young student. This past week Alix hadn't been doing too well and she'd heard from the other teachers she'd been looking a little ill during classes. It wasn't unusual currently for Alix to disappear to the bathrooms at least four times in her own class. Miss Bustier was becoming more and more worried about her.

When Alix walked back into the classroom, Miss Bustier walked over to her and looked at her. "Alix, are you feeling okay?" she asked softly. Alix shook her head a little and Miss Bustier nodded. "Alya, can you carry on for me? I want to take Alix to the school nurse." Caline said and Alya nodded. "Yes Miss Bustier." She said smiling. Caline then walked out of the classroom with Alix under her arm.

She took Alix to the school nurse office and Alix sat down on the chair beside the nurse's desk. "How have you been feeling Alix?" Rebecca, the school nurse, asked. "Not well. I feel really sick." She said softly. "Have you had a temperature at all this past week?" Alix shrugged a little. "I've felt a little warmer than normal at home." Alix said as Caline sat down across the room. "Has your father or brother been sick recently?" Rebecca asked and Alix frowned a little. "Not that I know of." She said and Rebecca leant over looking at her.

"I'm going to need to take a test." She said and Alix looked at her. "What kind of test?" Alix asked. "A pregnancy test. It's just as a precaution. I can do a blood test and have the results in a couple of hours." She said and Alix just stared at her. "It's just so we can cover all bases. I do this a lot of students." Rebecca said and Alix nodded slowly. "Okay."

After the blood test had been taken, Caline took Alix back to class and walked over to Mylene. "I need you to stay with Alix and watch her for me for a couple of hours. She's waiting for a test result from the nurse so when I get the call that's it's ready, I'll come and collect her." Caline said and Mylene nodded. "Would we be able to come? We want to know what's wrong so we can help her." Mylene said and Caline looked at Alix. "It's her choice." She said stroking Alix's hair gently. Alix looked at Mylene who held her hand tightly. "Yeah you guys can come."

The two hours were painstakingly slow for Alix. They were sitting in the cafeteria eating their lunch and Alix was staring at her food as she poked at her sandwich. "You going to eat Alix?" Rose asked looking at her friend, worriedly. "I'm not hungry. I just want the results so then I can stop worrying and they can find out what's wrong with me." Alix said lying her head on her arms. "And you miss Kim?" Mari said smiling a little. Alix looked up at Mari and sighed. "Yeah…"

"Here come's Miss Bustier." Alya said as Caline walked up. "We can go to the nurse Alix." She said and Alix got up following her off, all her girlfriends in tow. Caline held Alix's hand gently as she brushed her thumb over the back of her hand. "It's okay sweetheart. I'm sure you'll be a little relieved when you get the results back." Caline said and Alix nodded as she held her hand a little tighter.

Well Alix wasn't exactly relieved when she got her results back. "I'm what?!" Alix half screamed as she stared at Rebecca who was holding a few papers.

"You're pregnant, Alix."

"You're joking, right?!"

"No dear. The test doesn't lie."

Alix grabbed Marinette to stop herself from falling over. "Fuck no…this can't be happening!" Alix muttered looking at Mari. "What am I supposed to tell my dad?!" Mari held her close as Caline looked at Alix. "Do you know who the father is?" she asked and Alix half froze. "Yeah we know. We'll take her to let him know." Mylene said. "That dumbass is going to be a father?" Chloe muttered and Sabrina elbowed her. "He's not a dumbass, Chloe." She said.

The girls took Alix out of the office and sat her on a bench. Marinette, Juleka, Chloe and Sabrina stayed with her while Alya, Rose and Mylene went off to find Kim. Alix just stared at her feet. "I mean I thought I just had a cold or something! How am I supposed to be a mother?!" Alix said looking at her girls. "You could ask Marinette's mom for advice." Juleka said and Mari nodded. "She'd gladly help you!" she said smiling. Chloe looked at Alix and sighed a little. "Look, I know I'm not the best at being nice but I'm getting better. And I think you're being too hard on yourself. You haven't even given it a try. You could be a great mom."

Alix looked at Chloe and smiled a little. "Thanks Chloe." She said softly.

"We've got him!" Alya yelled running over as Mylene and Rose dragged Kim behind them. "What the hell is going on?!" Kim questioned looking at Alya. "You three literally just kidnapped me!" Alya pointed to Alix. "She has something to tell you." Kim turned his gaze to Alix and smiled. "Hey Chibi." He said and Alix just looked at him. "So what's this all about hm? You could've just come talk to me instead of having them kidnap me." he said crossing his arms.

"I'm pregnant!"

Kim stared at Alix who covered her mouth before sighing. "So that's why you've been so sick." He said and Alix looked up at him. "Wait you believe me?" she asked. She'd half expected him to think she was joking. "Why wouldn't I believe you?" he asked and Alix shrugged. "Because you don't take things seriously half the time." She said and Kim knelt down in front of her. "Even you wouldn't pull a prank like that." He said poking her nose.

"You're going to be a daddy." She said softly as he slipped his hands into hers holding them tightly. "I figured that much." He said looking at her. "I miss you…" Alix looked at him as he rested his head against hers. "You left so upset a month ago. I didn't want you to go. I spoke to Ondine after our night together. I didn't love her like I love you." Alix wrapped her arms around his neck hugging him tightly. "But I also understand if you don't want a boyfriend. I'll still be here for you and the baby. But can we try it?"

Alix nodded as she nuzzled him gently. "I'd like to try it."
