Chapter 16: Return

Due to D'Arby turning mad, the crusaders weren't able to ask him about DIO's exact location. Another way had to be found.

Going to Cairo proper, they asked a local beggar to go and find out the address of DIO's mansion as pictured in Joseph's spirit photograph. He went but never returned.

Who did return, however, was Iggy. The dog was injured badly and missed a front leg, a battle wound. His enemy had been the cruel and fearsome pet bird of DIO, Pet Shop. That bird was not a cute one, it hated dogs and was a Stand user, user of [Horus]. Though the Boston Terrier defeated the falcon, and led the crusaders to DIO's mansion, which didn't have an aggressive guard anymore.

Approaching the mansion, the air began feeling dangerous, the atmosphere was tense.

"Wh- what the…? I'm suddenly getting a cold sweat… What is this malfaisant aura?" Polnareff nervously questioned, feeling the menace of this area. "Wh… Where is Iggy trying to take us?"

'That's what I'm wondering too, Polnareff.' Kira thought, on edge. He had to be alert here.

With every step, that aura's intensity increased. And when the residence was finally visible on a hill, figuratively and literally above the crusaders, they all knew the deal with it.

"O-Oh my god… I know this feeling!" Sweatdrops began forming on the old Joestar's face, whose eyes widened in unease. "This aura of evil!"

This mansion wasn't like other mansions. It wasn't even like other buildings close by. It was tall, wide and had multiple round towers, like a small castle. A tall and wide wall encased the property, with many palm trees and other plants between the outer wall and the building itself. It was a grandiose residence.

"Th- This mansion! It's the same as the picture!" Avdol mentioned, both impressed and intimidated. "Iggy! You were able to find it!"

Everyone was sweating and intensely staring at the building with stiff eyes and bodies. No one could deny they were startled and concerned, but their hearts couldn't waver. The time had come.

"He's here… This feeling of evil… He's inside the mansion!" As a Joestar, Joseph had a closer connection to the vampire with the body of his grandfather. He could basically confirm it.

"Our journey has…" the egyptian began.

"…finally ended." the frenchman finished.

Jotaro was awfully quiet. But all the more focused. He could finally save his mother.

'…I've come this far. Let's make this journey worth it.' Yoshikage thought, fully prepared and resolved. His eyes were narrowed. 'DIO, tonight you'll have to die.'

Suddenly, the gates leading to DIO's mansion were opened. No one did anything, they opened by themselves. The path leading to the mansion's front door was made visible.

Naturally, this raised questions. "Just as I can sense him, he can sense us as well. Walking into this manor is like walking right into a trap." the old Joestar stated. "What do we do now?"

Key word: trap. Kira fully expected this, he wasn't stupid. It was obvious. For that reason, he needed an insurance, an insurance in case they make a mistake. And he had such a thing, within his Stand. [Killer Queen: Third Bomb: Bites the dust]. Time to activate this bomb, or he might never get the chance again.

'Sorry Polnareff, but I suppose I have to use you…' Without Polnareff noticing, Yoshikage transmitted [Killer Queen] inside his eye. From this point on, Kira had to defend himself without his Stand. 'This is my way to make sure.'

A few seconds later, following the gate's opening, the doors of DIO's residence also opened. It was a clear invitation, but not one with good intent. The crusaders were alarmed. "The door is opening! Stay on guard!"

Cautiously, the crusaders sneaked near the opened door. Slowly and nervously, they even dared a peek inside. A hallway, unimaginably long and with countless doors on the sides, lead away from the entrance.

"Look at this hallway, you can't see the other side… It can't be real. This must be some kind of illusion…" Polnareff remarked, feeling great unease.

Joseph had to warn him. "Polnareff, don't go through that door. DIO's probably got one or two Stand users left for us to fight."

Then suddenly, a humanoid figure appeared in the distance. And it was drawing closer to them. "What the… someting's coming this way!" Yoshikage observed, preparing for danger.

Seconds later, as the figure got closer, they could all see that he was floating. A man with a light blue attire, light bluish-silver face marks similar to Daniel J. D'Arby, and tall hair.

"Shit! What is he? A Stand user?" A floating man wasn't normal. That person was definitely a Stand user. The crusaders got into their battle poses, expecting the man to strike.

But he didn't, stopping close to 10 meters in front of the crusaders. He even lowered himself, his feet touching the floor. "Good day, Master Joestar. We've been expecting you. I'm the butler of this house." the apparent butler calmly introduced himself.

The frenchman, absolutely mistrustful and bewaring of DIO's servant, reacted with loud hostility, pointing at him. "I don't know who you are! But I know you are no ordinary human, and I'm going to kill you!"

Inwardly facepalming and gritting his teeth, Kira held back Polnareff for obvious reasons. "Polnareff! Don't be rash!"

Yoshikage, while pulling back his loud friend, placed his hand on top of his mouth, preventing Polnareff from complaining. He then looked at the old Joestar. "Joestar-san, I'm leaving this to you."

"Appreciate it, Kira." Joseph nodded, then focusing on the man with the ability to float. "You've been expecting us…? As in, DIO and you?"

"Yes, Lord DIO has been awaiting your arrival." the butler confirmed. "By the way, I'm the brother of the man you defeated in Giza."

This fact greatly surprised the crusaders. "Wait, you're D'Arby the gambler's younger brother?!"

D'Arby's brother threw a card at the frenchman, something the latter sliced in half with [Silver Chariot], following a moment of reacting to the fast card.

"My name is D'Arby. Terence T. D'Arby. The D'Arby you defeated was my older brother." D'Arby informed, bowing.

Terence released himself from the bow. "Here, please come in. I'll take your jackets."

'This guy must hold resentment for us.' Kira guessed, keeping sight of the younger D'Arby. "Are you planning to avenge your brother?"

"Of course not." the brother answered, smiling even. "Didn't my brother tell you his motto? 'It's the loser's fault for being deceived and losing'."

"…" The crusaders didn't comment on how cold and business-like that brotherly relationship was. Appalling, but for them, it wasn't weird that people like these worked for DIO.

"I believe that as well. My brother fought you and lost. The one who loses goes down in history as the 'evil' one. I hold no grudge against you. My brother is my brother, we're two different people and my only mission is to protect Master DIO." he freely disclosed his beliefs. "Plus, my brother and I are 10 years apart. I did look up to him somewhat, but my brother and I think differently due to our age difference. He tried to win through cheating and deception. The way he thinks is out of date. He could only win against other old people, who shared his way of thinking, or against beginners. Master DIO realized that as well, that's why he kept me by his side as his butler."

This D'Arby appeared even more professional and confident. Given how much trouble the other brother gave them, if this brother was truly superior, then the crusaders would face serious trouble. They hardened their faces.

"What's wrong?" Terence calmly inquired, his demeanor becoming darker by the word. "If you wish to fight me… then come… come inside the manor…"

As the butler made himself clear that it wasn't going to be easy for them, the crusaders hightened their guards. "Stay on guard, everyone! This hallway must be some sort of illusion." Avdol reminded with a stern face.

Jotaro wasn't hesitating at all. "We don't have time to bet our souls, hurry up and take us to DIO."

D'Arby didn't intend on doing so without a fight. He brought out his Stand. It was a robotic humanoid in the colors of black, bright silver and dark pink, with hearts all over its body. As for its face, 2 tubes connected the neck and where its mouth should be. On its right cheek was a 'T', on its left cheek a 'D'. This Stand's name was [Atum]. "You must forgive me, but my Stand is a different type of Stand than my brother's."

Watching that Stand, the crusaders reminisced how it's been a while since they faced a Stand user that actively brought out and showed its Stand, not counting [Anubis].

"Who's first? Who's going to fight me?" Terence asked, provoking the enemy Stand users.

Yoshikage, who didn't have his Stand ready to fight, wanted to keep his secret hidden. He needed someone else to fight. And a person perfectly suited for this approach was there. "Let's get this over with. Jotaro, can you take him down?"

Without a word, the young Joestar summoned [Star Platinum]. He was getting straight down to business, no nonsense.

Though the young D'Arby didn't feel like playing no games. He really felt like playing games. "I'll bet… [Star Platinum] will first attack with its left arm.

Before even moving to punch, Jotaro already hesitated. The opponent mysteriously guessed right.

"His first attack will be a punch from his left arm. How much do you bet?" Yep, proof that the D'Arbys were related.

Polnareff impatiently encouraged the young Joestar to fight on, not stopped by Terence's attempt to lower this fight's pace. "Jotaro! It's a trick! It won't make a difference either way, one punch should be enough to get him! Take him down!"

True. [Star Platinum] was physically faster and stronger than almost all Stands, and they didn't make a bet yet. He could freely attack the younger D'Arby with no consequences, as opposed to the older D'Arby. And he did.

"ORA!"

The purple Stand punched with its right fist. The motion was strong and fast, enough to end weaker Stands with one punch. But [Atum] effortlessly dodged.

Everyone's eyes widened at that. "What? He dodged it?!" Kira called in disbelief, his eyes going wide. He knew more than anyone else how fast [Star Platinum] was. Going by that logic, [Atum] would be extremely difficult to handle.

Jotaro however, knew that it wasn't about speed. Shocked, he realized that the enemy Stand started dodging even before his Stand attacked, meaning [Atum] knew he was going to punch with his right arm from the start. But what the young Joestar couldn't understand was how [Atum] predicted the right arm, even though D'Arby bet on the left arm.

Before Jotaro had even realized, [Star Platinum]'s right wrist was restrained by [Atum].

"Too bad, too bad… I just lost that bet. Like my brother, I like betting, but luck is never on my side. Hahaha…" Terence joked, losing the bet on purpose. "As an apology, I'll take you to a wonderful world."

Out of the blue, a black bottomless portal appeared below the feet of the young Joestar and D'Arby. Jotaro was getting sucked in. "What the… a pit?!"

"Damn it!" the egyptian cursed, beginning to sweat hard. "This hallway was a trap to pull us in!"

Joseph and Kakyoin, while taken aback, couldn't just let Jotaro disappear mysteriously like that. They manifested their Stands to help. "Jotaro!"

"[Hermit Purple]!"

"[Hierophant Green]!"

The Stands and the young Joestar's extending arms reached each other. "Jotaro's falling in! Pull him out!" the old Joestar pushed, clenching his teeth in struggle.

Noriaki and Joseph didn't expect Terence to come out of the portal's surface and grab their hands. "I guess I have no choice… join us!" He literally took them by surprise, dragging them with him.

"Wh-"

"Agh!"

Kira, watching this happen, considered using [Bites the dust]. 'Should I…'

"Kakyoin! Joestar-san!" the frenchmen yelled after them in worry, wanting to help. Both Yoshikage and Avdol held him back.

"Wait, Polnareff! It's too dangerous to go after them!"

Indeed it was. The old Joestar wouldn't have wanted that either, which he let them know, as at least his voice could reach them through the portal.

"Avdoooool! Kiraaaa! Can you hear meeeeee?!"

"It's Joestar-san's voice! He's saying something as he falls!" the egyptian pointed out the obvious.

"If you don't hear from us in 10 minutes, torch and blow up the mansion! You got that, Avdoooool? Kiraaaaa?"

D'Arby's portal progressively got smaller in diameter, eventually closing. Joseph's voice didn't manage to reach them afterwards.

"Joestar-san!"

This was bad. Now their group was halved, in enemy territory! Kira and Avdol exchanged glances, knowing they had to be more careful from here on.

"Going inside would be too risky, wouldn't it?" Yoshikage had no desire falling into a trap.

"Agreed, let's stay away from that door." the egyptian agreed, sweating a little.

They backed away from that door. The question was, what were they going to do. "So, are we going to wait these 10 minutes?" Kira asked, unsure what to do.

"I guess so…" Avdol didn't really know either. "Let's just hope they make it out alive."

XXXXXXXXXX

10 minutes had passed. No sign of the other crusaders returning. Worry and concern was only growing, even Yoshikage was seriously sweating in dread. "They've been in there for 20 minutes now."

"Uh huh…" Polnareff was the one who feared about the wellbeing of his friends the most. He was the most nervous, but at the same time the most willing to go and help. The frenchman reapproached the door.

At this point, neither Avdol nor Kira were going to stop him, as they couldn't blame him. But the egyptian had to become serious and set one thing clear. "Joestar-san asked us to wait. It's been more than 10 minutes now. Polnareff, I have to say something to you before you go in. I… I won't save you if you disappear or get injured there…" Saying out these words hurt.

"…" Polnareff slowly turned his head around, looking at Avdol with expressionless eyes.

"That goes for you too, Iggy, Kira… This may be a bit cold, but we are here to defeat DIO. We have to think of our own safety first. We can't all die because one of us is in trouble." the egyptian reminded the harsh truth with a serious face and voice. What came next really hurt to say inside. "You guys have to promise me. If I am beaten or lost… Don't try to save me."

It not only hurt to say, but also to listen. The four glared at one another, inwardly disagreeing with the outwardly best and most reasonable approach. Emotions were heavy, heavily suppressed.

'You are wrong, though, Avdol.' Yoshikage thought severely narrowing his intense eyes. 'I have the power to make sure everyone gets through this alive. So whether you like or not… I WILL save EVERYONE.'

"Yeah… I got you, Avdol." Kira and Polnareff went on to have a manly handshake.

"If you come out alive, buy me dinner." By setting up this condition, the frenchman wanted to make everyone look forward to it, after survival. Morale was key to survival, and he wished survival for his friends more than anyone.

"I'll buy Kira's and Iggy's as well."

"Let's have that dinner…" Yoshikage said, adding something necessary after a brief silence. "…including the others."

Right. There was no proof that Kakyoin and the Joestars were dead yet. Survival was meant for everyone.

Nodding at each other with warm smiles of hope but cold eyes of reality, the three let go. Their own adventure had to start at some point too.

"Alright! Let's go!"

With that, the four crusaders entered the devil's den.

XXXXXXXXXX

Checking even the first door turned out to be difficult. Taking a glance inside from the wall outside, they discovered that the mansion had countless stairs and passages in all directions.

"Okay, this is an illusion. All this literally can't fit inside a building like this." Even though he just went inside and took a quick look, Kira was already sure of what he said.

"Right, but this maze might still be dangerous." Avdol pointed out. "I should… [Magician's Red]!"

The red Stand manifested, showing itself. It created a chandelier of flames, with ends pointing into the 6 directions.

"These flames are life detectors. It can detect movement, breathing and Stand energies." the egyptian explained his ability. "Let's follow it in this maze."

"Why are there flames at each of the 6 tips?" Polnareff asked, not immediately understanding the meaning unlike Yoshikage.

"To indicate front, back, left, right, up and down. It can find anything within a 15 meter radius." Avdol elaborated. As the owner and creator of this device, he lead the way, going down the stairs. "Joestar-san was pulled underground. Let's go downwards."

A few steps later, the chandelier already reacted to something. The flames intensified, becoming more sparky. The direction of the cause was also detected by the egyptian. "We got a reaction rather quickly. There is something forward and to the left."

'Damn, I can't do anything about it for now.' Kira thought, as [Killer Queen] had to be somewhere else. But he wasn't defenseless, he even trusted his friends to take care of threats.

Polnareff alone could've taken care of this one, but Iggy took action this time. He sniffed the enemy with his nose, launched [The Fool] towards the enemy with its claws outstretched, slashing wide across the enemy's entire upper body.

"GYAAAAAAAAAH!"

"Eh?"

That enemy was Kenny G, an illusion Stand user. He was a midget, resembling a dwarf with his pointy hat and pointy ears. The threat he posed was smaller than his height, as he near-instantly died, collapsing on the floor. Within just a moment, his illusions vanished.

"Hey! Who the hell is this?" The crusaders were underwhelmed, For being so close to the penultimate boss, this foe was pathetically weak. It surprised the crusaders more that the illusion vanished, rather that he died.

"Look around you, the maze is gone."

They paid no notice to the dead Stand user. After all, things seemed to have calmed down.

Seemed.

Avdol let out a calm breath. His flames themselves calmed too, after all. "Now that all the rooms are back to normal, the flames are not reacting anymore."

He rested his hand on the wall. Just when he was about to take it away, he noticed letters engraved into the wall. "Hm?"

When you turn your heads, you will

This sentence wasn't complete. The egyptian held his finger above the last word. And even though this sentence wasn't complete, it gave him a very bad feeling. Reluctantly, he moved his finger to the side to see the last word.

die

Obviously, that was a serious threat. All the alarms went off in Avdol's head, his eyes widened as he stared at the wall. There was danger, but the danger wasn't written on the wall, it was behind them. Turning his head slightly backwards in a narrow angle that barely allowed him to see, the egyptian dared a peek backwards. His flame chandelier didn't detect any enemy Stand, but it'd have been foolish to ignore something as suspicious as this.

Then came the shock. Avdol noticed a strange orb behind himself, with a Stand coming out in the center. Though that Stand was weird too, as it appeared to be eating itself. 'What the hell is that?! This is impossible! Iggy's nose and my flames aren't sensing anything, but it suddenly showed up!'

He was the first to notice the danger. That danger posed a threat more to his friends than himself. He could've saved himself. But he chose not to, instead choosing to break his promise. The egyptian acted rapidly, investing every bit of his energy into saving his friends. "POLNAREFF! KIRA! IGGY! WATCH OUT!"

His nerves on edge giving him bloodshot eyes and drawing extra strength from within himself, Avdol punched his friends out of the danger zone. He sent them flying, far away. By doing this, the egyptian remained in the danger zone, soon losing all but his forearms. The mysterious sphere hit him, erasing all but said body parts out of existence.

"Argh!" Meanwhile, Yoshikage was hurt twice. By the punch hitting his face and by his back hitting a wall. Though past the impact, he opened his eyes again. "Ow! What the hell was that for, Av…"

Avdol wasn't there anymore. His eyes opened up even more. "Avdol?"

To his right, the frenchman too was getting anxious about this. "Hey, Avdol! Where are you?"

Lying on the floor, they both noticed their fallen friend's forearms. This sight invoked panic, their faces were getting pale. "Huh? Those arms… Avdol! Where are you?!"

Looking to his side, Kira saw two things: Polnareff's horrified face covered to the brim with sweat of dread and his eyes being too intense with the pupils shrinking to tiny dots, and Iggy reacting with extreme stress, the dog sweating more than a human and huffing severely in terror.

Yoshikage couldn't help but imitate their level of anxiety. Shocked about death, he let out a scream together with the frenchman. "AVDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLL!"

'NOOO! NO! NO! NO!' Kira also screamed in his head. 'Did I just space out?! Why did I forget to pay attention?! Was it because of [Bites the dust]? Because I thought I could just reverse everything? What if I got fucking hit?! Not that Avdol dying is any less disastrous! Avdooool!'

The murderer was still there. He was actually inside that orb, gradually coming out. First the ghostly gray and partially phantomic dark blue Stand reverse-ate itself, literally spawning out of its own mouth, beginning with the arms. It was a disturbing scene to behold.

"What is that?! Where did it come from?!" This enemy invoked many questions, questions the distraught crusaders needed answers for. "And why didn't Avdol's flame detect it?! Why didn't Iggy smell it?!"

Speaking of the Boston Terrier, he was still the worst affected by the shock, close to having a mental breakdown. He didn't recover from the initial shock in the slightest, that monstrous being over there terrified the dog's very core.

But not like either Polnareff or Yoshikage really recovered from their distress either, too tense from the adrenaline overload. "Where are you, Avdol?! Where did you go?!"

"Avdol is…" The Stand inside the sphere spoke. Now, the crusaders were forced to listen and pay attention, no matter their emotional state.

Its arms popped out of the orb outside the barrier, grabbing Avdol's leftovers. "Dead and disintegrated… Even I don't know where he is. All I know is that it's a dark dimension and I sent him there." it answered with a voice that sounded absolutely dark and soulless. "You two are next… I have to change your minds about defeating Lord DIO."

Subsequently, it devoured Avdol's arms like they were food to eat. Seeing this added intense fresh anger and hate to Kira's current emotions revolving around fear. Disrespecting the dead this badly, even if he could undo it, was unforgivable to him.

Then came the key moment. Following the 'snack', a head emerged from inside the Stand's mouth. It belonged to a both feminine and masculine man with long hair. [Vanilla Ice], fanatic follower of DIO and Stand master of [Cream]. "Hm hm, one by one… Eventually I'll send you all into my dark dimension…"

That was all he said, as he withdrew his head within the safe realm of his Stand's mouth.

Polnareff and Yoshikage were both infuriated, but the frenchman even more. Despite the pain both felt, one was in denial, the other not. "No way… Avdol… You killed him…?" Polnareff was shivering and trembling in anger, tightly gritting his fists. He was about to burst in a rage of grief.

"YOU'RE LYING!" the frenchman intensely roared, sending out [Silver Chariot] in a fast dash attack.

[Silver Chariot] was at a sizeable distance from its master, yet it still moved way faster than most Stands, that speed surprised the murderers of Avdol. "What?! Polnareff's Stand can move that fast at this distance?! I hadn't heard that…"

"You piece of shit!" A madly furious Polnareff made his Stand unleash a massive barrage of stabs onto the enemy Stand, going at it like he was going against J. Geil. He was absolutely wild, rampaging. Stray slashes destroyed a significant part of the room. "GRAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

At that moment, Kira wanted to do the same. But he was only forced to watch the frenchman failing at killing Avdol's killer, as Vanilla Ice and [Cream] vanished after shrinking down to nothing. Polnareff was huffing and puffing in fatigue as he put all his energy and emotions into the attack, but sadly failed. "Hahh… Hahh… Hahh… That son of a bitch! I know I hit him! But I don't think I killed him. He shrunk down in an instant and vanished to nothing." the frenchman complained in utter anger and disappointment. He shut his eyes to avoid crying. "You liar! Ever since India, you always did what you weren't supposed to! Avdol! If you'd only left me alone!"

Yoshikage couldn't be called emotionally composed in any way, at least as of that time. Nevertheless, he still tried to act like the voice of reason. "Polnareff…" His voice was low and holding back, he didn't feel like those were appropriate words "It pains me to say this, but we don't have time to mourn Avdol… We have to figure out that bastard's ab-"

Swoosh

Without a warning, an invisible orb flew past their heads, narrowly missing them. A pillar was not so lucky, having a half-spherical chunk of concrete eaten away. As the sphere of death nearly killed the two, their blood froze and eyes went immediately wide. Neither made as much as a sound, processing the ridiculous threat this Stand user posed to them.

"…"

A few seconds that felt like hours later, Kira opened his lips, revealing his gritted teeth. He felt panic. True panic, like when he was forced to fight Jotaro's time stop in the other world, or had to run away from Josuke and Okuyasu. 'Did… did he just erase matter…? Holy shit! A power that instantly kills, but technically even more dangerous than mine! I… I'm not sure if I can do anything against him! D-damn it!'

The time to activate [Bites the dust] had come. Staying there any longer could make them more casualties. But it was not a cowardly escape out of pure desparation. Yoshikage'd figured out [Cream]'s power of darkness and death. Jumping back in time would allow him to prepare a plan for how to face it.

'Don't let me down now, [Killer Queen]…' Kira arranged his right hand into a fist with the thumb pointing straight upwards, preparing to press the invisible 'switch'. 'Here we go… Avdol, I'll save you.'

Click

Space and time warped around Yoshikage. Once again, he laid his eyes upon myriads and myriads of purple orbs. Though this time, he was not going to switch worlds. Just going back in time.

As the host of [Killer Queen: Bites the dust], Polnareff went through the same process, though through another dimensional gate.

Only these two individuals would retain their memories. What came after, was entirely new fate.

XXXXXXXXXX

It was morning. Kira woke up like he did before, in the hotel room of the Cairo hotel the crusaders were staying. He woke up energetically, his mind was still racing from the events he experienced. Hot sweat formed on his face, which was directed towards his turned palms. 'Hahhh… Hahhh… It worked…' Yoshikage was glad about this, though he had a lot to do to be really glad. 'D-damn it. Avdol…'

Just as he was about to start thinking about possibilities on how to possibly defeat and kill Vanilla Ice, his door slammed open, then slamming against the wall. A fellow knower barged in. He was visibly more frantic, breathing heavily from running very fast.

"K-Kira! W-What the hell?! I just saw Avdol and he's alive! He's alive! Like it all never happened! How?! You have something to do with this, don't you? I saw your [Killer Queen] in my eye before I was swallowed up by some space! Tell me! You gotta tell me, Kira! Or is this another illusion?!"

Polnareff loudly and hectically bombared Kira with questions and reports of what he went through. The frenchman was in a state of frenzy. That was expected, though, as experiencing [Bites the dust] for the first time would naturally overwhelm a human mind.

"Polnareff…" Yoshikage thought how to possibly explain his ability to Polnareff in the best way. That's right, the frenchman was his essential special [Bites the dust] ally now, they had to work together. Transparency was a necessity here. "Whatever you've seen, heard or experienced this morning is reality. I repeat, this is reality, not an illusion. I can explain everything."

Kira stood up from his bed, Polnareff sat down on an armchair in Yoshikage's room, practically sinking into it. Although he felt great relief that it was not an illusion, he really needed to calm himself, especially his head. "Avdol and the others… I've told them about what I went through. They think I had a bad dream. They didn't believe a word of it…" the frenchman told, beginning to tear up, his voice softening. "But still… Avdol is alive and this is reality… I'm so glad *sob*"

"Hey, stop it! Stop crying! It's too early!" Yoshikage hated doing it, but he harshly reprimanded Polnareff there, not allowing him a moment of sentimentality. In his opinion, this was not the time to cry.

"W-what? *sob*" The frenchman furiously wiped his reddened eyes, only for them to become wet again. "What are you saying, Kira?! Why should I not cry? Are you devoid of a heart?! Are you not glad Avdol's fucking alive again?!" he snapped, taking offense.

This remark made Kira's eyes twitch. "What? Of course I am! But who says he won't die again?! Who says he'll stay alive?! Are we gonna cry again that time? No, because we're going to work together to avoid this future!" Yoshikage countered, his temper rising for a moment, but then cooling off after some silence. "After that… After we've ensured Avdol's life and killed that bastard who murdered him… THEN you can cry… tears of relief, that is."

"…" Those words forced Polnareff to think. Think hard. The frenchman was too fast with his emotions. His eyes stopped shedding new tears. With a tissue, he wiped his nose. "…Right… we're going to save Avdol…"

"And to do that, we have to work together. That includes the sharing of information. Alright, I'll explain everything." Kira pensively and assertively placed his hand on Polnareff's shoulder. "I suppose I'll start with my Stand. [Killer Queen] has 3 types of bombs as abilities, 2 of which all of us know. The [First Bomb] is just my ability to explode and erase things from existence with one touch. The [Second Bomb] is a tracking remote-controlled bomb for targets out of my direct range. And the [Third Bomb], the one only you know of other than me, is what I call [Bites the dust]."

"[Bites the dust]?" the frenchman repeated, bemused by the naming choice.

"[Bites the dust]" Yoshikage affirmed. "It's a special ability that needs 2 people to set up and later activate, me and a host."

"A host?" Polnareff repeated anew, curious about this ability.

"I implant [Killer Queen] into another person. During that time, I can't use my Stand unless I deactivate [Bites the dust]." Kira explained. "About the ability itself, it's bound to either an automatic condition or my own activation, the 'switch'. Once the ability activates, me and the host take a dimensional loop back in time, where everything after that time 'hasn't happened' yet. Think of it as a checkpoint in video games."

'Ah, so that's why I saw [Killer Queen] in my own eyes and was thrown back in time.' the frenchman figured, then coming to a realization. 'Wait, so t-'

"Yes, you were the host, Polnareff. Sorry for making you the host without your consent, but I needed a safety trump card without the info possibly leaking to the enemy." Yoshikage subsequently apologized.

Though that was fine for Polnareff. He was rather glad. "Don't apologize. This was actually for the better, then. Now we at least avoid the death of Avdol. If it's to save our friends, I'll let you use it as much as it's needed."

'As much as it's needed, huh? I hope I can kill that bastard the next time I meet him.' Kira hoped that this would be the first and last time he used [Bites the dust] against Vanilla Ice. "Anyways, Polnareff, we can't afford to make any mistakes. Got it?"

"Of course." the frenchman replied, raising his brows. "But how do we proceed? We have like… lots of possibilities, right?"

"The way we proceed? Just like last time, but the moment we kill that nobody maze guy, we pay extra attention to Avdol." Yoshikage decided.

"Huh?" Polnareff had some objections, that plan sounded too simple. "But what about the others? The reason we went that way is because they got seperated from us. We should save them first. And even earlier, Iggy got injured. We can prevent that too. What do you say, Kira?"

Kira looked the frenchman in the eyes, shaking his head. "Sorry, but that's not a good idea. If we change any prior events, the future will turn out differently, for the better or the worse. We have an advantage because we know what's going to happen one way. If we take another way, we can't predict anything anymore. Besides, we don't even know if Kakyoin-kun, Joestar-san and Jotaro are really going to die." he reasoned, firmly rejecting the previous idea. "BUT, should we find out later that they have been killed, we can reset again."

Putting it like this, Polnareff shouldn't have any complaints anymore. And he didn't. "Then… this is basically hope for the best, prepare for the worst, huh?"

"Exactly." Yoshikage said, nodding. "But no matter what, we're going to save everyone. I count on you."

"Right." The frenchman nodded too, then exchanging a manly handshake of hope with Kira. "May we emerge victorious."

"May we emerge victorious."

With that, they went outside with the rest of the crusaders, waiting for the correct time to change the future.

XXXXXXXXXX

Time passed. Kira and Polnareff were back at the time where 10 minutes had passed since the disappearance of half the crusaders. The latter had tried to change some things on the way, but the former held him back.

Avdol said the same words again. "Joestar-san asked us to wait. It's been more than 10 minutes now. Polnareff, I have to say something to you before you go in. I… I won't save you if you disappear or get injured there… That goes for you too, Iggy, Kira… This may be a bit cold, but we are here to defeat DIO. We have to think of our own safety first. We can't all die because one of us is in trouble. You guys have to promise me. If I am beaten or lost… Don't try to save me."

This time, the frenchman reacted differently. He turned around with a lecturing demeanor, reacting sternly to the egyptian's sentence. "As if! Don't lie to me, Avdol! We all know we'd save each other's lives in a heartbeat. Let's be honest, you don't believe yourself in what you're saying, do you? Stop bullshitting, be honest with us, and even moreso with yourself!"

He reacted sharply, shocking Avdol who was visibly taken aback, flinching harshly. Polnareff hit the nails on the head, it was just like that. Truthfully, the egyptian felt like the naive one here. Naive for believing the frenchman would just accept something like that. For the first time, the one more mature wasn't him.

"Does this… have to do with your nightmare, Polnareff?" Avdol merely inquired, unable to argue against the truth that Polnareff spewed.

"Yes. I was scared, and still am." the frenchman didn't deny this, openly admitting his feelings. "About myself, you, all of us. But more importantly, I can't stand you lying to us like this. This is no usual lie, this is a heavy lie and you know it! Be honest with us, goddamn it! I'd do the same for you, my brother!"

"I… I…" The egyptian truly had no response, his words dying in his throat. He looked down in shame. "Sorry…"

Yoshikage smiled widely at the display of honesty and friendship from Polnareff. Avdol was feeling down a little in shame, but that didn't have to be. In a flash, Kira wrapped both his arms around the two's shoulders, rapidly drawing them together. "Hey hey, easy now. We're not gonna go in there with negative feelings, right?"

Kira had a point. With their current mood, they'd be at a disadvantage. "I'll tell you what we do. We go in there, kill any enemy we encounter, find out whether the others are still alive or not, and most importantly, we survive."

"…" With his charisma, he made the frenchman and the egyptian stop their argument. Those two pulled themselves together, inwardly admitting their faults, making both serious and surprised faces. Yoshikage could truly influence people.

Avdol raised his head, looking Polnareff in the eyes. He ought to apologize. "Sorry, Polnareff. My fault for not being honest, you're completely right. My attempt at warning you about possible life and death situations wasn't thought out well. …If I make it through, I'll buy you dinner as an apology."

"No." the frenchman suddenly refused, confusing the egyptian. But that refusal actually only meant well. "After you definitely make it through, I'll buy you dinner. Kira's and Iggy's as well."

Before going inside for the second time, Polnareff, Avdol and Kira exchanged a manly handshake of forgiveness, faith and friendship together. For this handshake to be more manly and fortunate than the last one.

XXXXXXXXXX

The proceedings weren't much different from that point on, the Boston Terrier took care of the illusionist again. Though from that point on, Yoshikage and Polnareff began paying extreme attention to their surroundings, eyeing Avdol with one eye, the other area with another.

'Come!' Kira thought, diligently waiting for Vanilla Ice. He'd not allow his friend to be harmed.

And then! [Cream] made itself visible, heading towards the egyptian. Yoshikage reacted to the change as fast as he could, his tense nerves in overdrive giving him a boost in speed. In a flash, he grabbed Avdol by the arm, pulled him towards himself and crashed against Polnareff and Iggy. Together, they all slammed into safety.

"Ugah!" the egyptian let out in pain, taken by surprise by Kira's action. He hurt his head and back when slamming against the wall, it really hurt. "Ouch! K-Kira! What in the name of-"

He was about to complain, but when his eyes faced forward, he saw a strange sphere just eat the pillar he was just standing in front of into nothing. Invisible exclamation marks erupted above the now shocked Avdol's head, cold sweat broke out. His eyes bulged out at the realization that his life had just been saved.

"What is that?! Where did it come from?!" This time it was Avdol who asked the serious questions about the deadly enemy. "And why didn't my flame detect it?! Why didn't Iggy smell it?!"

Speaking of Iggy, for not being involved in [Bites the dust], he was still heavily affected by the shock of witnessing this being. Though with no casualty this time, the effects were slightly less serious.

'I changed the future here… What's next? How will the story go on?' Yoshikage wondered, exchanging glances with the frenchman.

"Goddammit…" a voice coming from inside the erasing orb cursed. "Why did you have to be cautious that moment!"

First the arms, then the head of [Cream] emerged from nothing, manifesting in this dimension. Avdol got to lay his eyes upon the ghostly gray and partially phantomic dark blue Stand that killed him in a seperate timeline that was no more. He looked visibly disturbed watching [Cream] spawn out of its own mouth. Lastly, a head popped out of the eater Stand's mouth, belonging to its master Vanilla Ice. Again, the egyptian got to see the extremely muscular and feminine man that murdered him. "Well, nevermind… I can still murder you now."

"Who are you?" Avdol questioned, recovering a bit from the shock of almost dying. The fact that a Stand user like this was here was bad news to say the least, this one was obviously and objectively far more deadly and dangerous than all other Stand users they met before.

This time, Vanilla Ice wasn't so talkactive anymore. "The one Lord DIO sent to stop and kill you, that's all you need to know."

Retracting his head, the fanatic was about to switch back to attacking. Kira and Polnareff, having been in this place and situation before, immediately stood up and forced the other two crusaders to also rise up. "No time to hesitate! Stand up right now, we have to fight and run!"

Both sounded extremely forceful with their tones. "Look, I'm only going to explain that guy's abilities briefly!" Yoshikage pressed. "That Stand has the ability to disappear and transform into a ball of nothingness that erases everything it touches. It can turn invisible, so stay extra cautious!"

That's why Kira wanted to live a quiet life. Stand fights like with [Cream] were thrilling in the wrong way.

"What?! A-Are you for real?" the egyptian exclaimed in disbelief, afraid of this power. Then again, who wouldn't be.

"Yes! We can't lose sight of it no matter what!" The frenchman's eyes narrowed in dread. "Ah! He's already disappearing!"

"Oh no! Shit!" Yoshikage cursed. Neither him nor Polnareff had any way to even keep track of Vanilla Ice, and they were supposed to protect Avdol and Iggy.

"W-wait! There's something I can do!" When facing hard times, mankind can think up solutions to their problems. They may work, or may not work. The egyptian came up with a sudden solution out of the blue and was about to test it out. Wouldn't it be fitting if a murder victim from a scrapped reality lead to the undoing of his murderer that never got to murder him?

"[Magician's Red]!" The flaming bird of Avdol was summoned. Within one second, the entire room was burning. The destructive capability of [Magician's Red] was not to be underestimated. If its master wanted to torch the entire building, the Stand would do so without fail. Though the bird man's flames were versalite. They had a wide range in heat, density, burning strength and size. And these flames right now weren't meant to destroy.

"Wha-" Kira and Polnareff briefly let out a sound of confusion. They felt a lukewarm heat surrounding them. They literally saw and felt themselves burning, they had orange vision. But they weren't hurt in the slightest.

"Allow me to explain. Those are low density, low heat and wide range flames that allow highest visibility. I can see you, Kira, you, Polnareff, and…" He turned around, pointing at the one spherical point in his flame range that wasn't burning "…the enemy Stand!"

"Dodge!" the egyptian yelled, trying his hardest to stay out of the ball of nothingness' path. They were far from safe, even with this more than handy advantage. He still bewared very much of [Cream].

Vanilla Ice couldn't see anything. He wildly steered his Stand around, destroying much of the room. The crusaders dodged and dodged, but the threat was neverending.

"Shit! This can't continue like this, we have to flee to a wider space!" Yoshikage pointed out, gritting his teeth. If it continued like that, this would turn out into a battle of exertion.

"Let's take this corridor out of here!" the frenchman hastily suggested, pointing at the corridor on the other side.

"Right!" Avdol followed up. "I'll take my flames with us, stay safe!"

As allies of the Joestars, they were fully authorized to use their technique. Polnareff even picked up the dog with his injured paw who had difficulties running. "Up the stairs! Head up the stairs!"

Meanwhile, Vanilla Ice poked his head out of [Cream] for his occasional check of location. It didn't take him long to find out that the crusaders were escaping. It annoyed him. "Tch! They're heading towards where Lord DIO is… Whether they know it or not, I can't let reach him alive."

He didn't bother taking the hallway and stairs to reach the upper floor. He just retracted his head back inside, then letting his Stand float vertically upwards, erasing the part of the ceiling. The chase was on.

XXXXXXXXXX

Finished running up the stairs, the crusaders noticed that they reached the exit. Or entrance from another perspective, where they came from. But running away was out of the question.

"We're running towards DIO!" Kira powerfully proclaimed, taking a sharp turn away from the exit and climbing the stairs leading upwards.

"Of course we are!" Polnareff and Avdol affirmed, following him upwards. The stairs were long, but they felt the strong need to climb them.

And when they collectively reached the end, feeling it in their legs, they were confronted by a surprise. The crazy fanatic made a hole in the floor, reaching this hall before them. This broad, spacy hall where without any indicator, [Cream] could be hiding anywhere. But luckily they had the best dodging guide in the world. [Magician's Red]'s broad flames immediately detected a hollow spot.

"He's there!" the egyptian shouted, pointing at the location. It was tiny, so tiny only he could've noticed. The Stand of erasure was hiding inbetween the minute cracks on the floor. Very ingenuous, had anyone stepped foot on said crack, that foot would've been eaten.

"He hid there?!" the frenchman gulped, his sweat running fast. His eyes bulged out, as the fact was that his foot was the closest to the enemy Stand, just one tile away. One more step, and stepping would've become harder for him forever.

"Damn… we need to deal with him when he comes out of his protection. But like this… there's no chance." Yoshikage concluded, driving his palm through his hair.

Speaking of this, [Cream] left the crack, rising to head level with the crusaders. Vanilla Ice came out of his hiding spot as a head to voice out some complaints. And boy, was he mad. "For fuck sake… Muhammad Avdol! With you and your flame radar, there's absolutely no point in trying to hide in plain sight… I have to kill you first!"

DIO's follower retracted his head, though as he said himself, there was no point in vanishing completely, as either Avdol or any other crusader could just see his nothingness and dodge like that. From a visibility standpoint, it didn't make a difference. He attacked the egyptian directly, attempting to devour him.

But, he made one crucial mistake. True, the visibility didn't matter. But without his guard of erasure, he could be hit without worry. Polnareff made sure to injure him.

"[Silver Chariot]!" the frenchman called, stabbing the guardless Stand with with his own. The silver Stand attacked ridiculously fast, landing multiple clean hits.

[Cream] was forced to disappear quickly, otherwise the damage on Vanilla Ice would pile up. The same space erasing Stand spawned 10 meters away from the crusaders, the master poking out.

"You bastard, Polnareff…" The fanatic sustained various small stab wounds, including 3 major ones that really bled. One on his shoulder, one on his chest, one on his forehead. And he was not happy about it.

Vanilla Ice didn't realize it himself, but he was already cornered. Kira, whose eyes briefly widened a bit, got to the realization and spelled it out for him. "Vanilla Ice, just now I thought about something… It's crazy how fast I understood it, but I've got no other choice than sharing it with you."

"What?!" the feminine hunk barked, totally displeased about this unfavorable development.

"You already know yourself that you can't hit us when you're invisible thanks to Avdol's flame air, right? Well, the way you're now you have the best chance." Yoshikage provided a vague answer, confusing his listeners.

"What are you talking about?" both friend and foe questioned in confusion, demanding clarification.

"Think about it: Your trump card is useless now, if you continue like that, this battle'll stretch on endlessly with no result. Plus, now that we're in a broader space, dodging has become more easy and less strenous for us." Kira smartly explained, the fanatic mentally acknowledging the facts. But that clearly wasn't the whole talk.

"And?"

"Yeah, what is it that you're implying?" the frenchman and the egyptian asked, raising their brows.

"Hm." Yoshikage grinned, intending to finish his explanation. "Drawing this out is useless, the best choice would be to attack quickly and openly like just now. Of course, it's risky for you as you just felt yourself, but that way is risky for us too. So…" Kira's tone and expression suddenly changed into something more aggressive "how about trying to finish it here and now, brash and quick?! Either you lose or we lose, you die or we die, so what if we get it over with this instant, huh, Vanilla Ice?!"

The eyes of Vanilla Ice began to twitch madly, tick marks popped up on his face. He displayed his sharp teeth. "Get it over with this instand, that's what you want…" That moment, his eyes violently flared up "YOU CAN HAVE IT!"

In a circular motion at high speed, [Cream] with its master in its center closed in on the crusaders with ill intent. For a second, it appeared like the evil one would come out on top. But suddenly, he got distracted.

"Huh?" The fanatic couldn't believe it. All of a sudden, for no apparent reason, Avdol's flames around him disappeared. Vanilla Ice took quick glances sideways, no flames whatsoever.

Though there was one spot where flames remained. The tip of the knight Stand's rapier. Said rapier stabbed Vanilla Ice through the mouth, through the tongue and then the lower brain. And then the bird Stand controlled the flames to change into high density, high temperature lethal flames.

He didn't even get to scream, that fire immediately incinerated his vocal chords. His face just got burned, his Stand stopped in midair and his irises and pupils shrunk in panic, then slowly rolling backwards. The feminine man looked like he died.

"Good riddance." the frenchman lowly commented in disdain.

"Good job." Yoshikage quietly praised, showing a content smirk. "He got what he deserved."

Flashback:

Kira, Polnareff and Avdol used Stand telepathy to secretly communicate.

"Remember what I said, we need to land blows after he comes out of his protection dimension. There's only this way."

"Alright alright, we do understand that, Kira."

"Yeah, but then what? How should we kill him?"

"Hmm… In my opinion, it'd be most fitting if Polnareff and you kill him together. Polnareff, do you agree?"

"Yes, fully! Avdol, let's do this!"

"Mhm, I'm ready."

"Wait, before we break off this conversation, I know this is supposed to be your attack, but imagine how cool this would be: Avdol transfers some of his fire onto Polnareff's blade, who blazes that asshole to crisp with a flaming sword. Cool, huh?"

"Ah, what an awesome idea! Should we do it Kira's way, Avdol?"

"Certainly, that does sound badass. I'm in."

"Then good luck you two, kill him good!"

Flashback end

More than 20 seconds passed. Vanilla Ice's dead-looking face didn't change, but him and his Stand still remained. If he was truly dead, they would've disappeared.

Doubt started forming among the crusaders. "Strange… Are we sure he's dead?"

"He has to be, just look at him." the frenchman remarked, gesturing at the 'corpse'. Logically he was right, but even he could see something was wrong. "Any second and he'll disappear for good… right?"

Nope

The eyes of Vanilla Ice slowly rolled back forward. Weak sounds of survival came out of his burnt mouth. That sight sent chills down the spines of the crusaders as they concluded that he can't be human.

"Are you kidding me…?" Yoshikage observed in disbelief, letting free a fresh dose of sweat. "How's he not dead! Part of his brain got pierced and burned!"

[Cream] let its arms enter this dimension, grabbing [Silver Chariot] by the throat. Polnareff was in deep trouble now.

"That does it…" the fanatic weakly let out with a broken voice full of hate. "No, I will not die here… I will no longer waste my time on your attacks either. I'll devour you all right here and then dispose of Joestar and the others. Only then will I allow myself to die!"

"Guh… Hrrk!" The frenchman faced additional hardship as [Cream]'s other arm grabbed [Silver Chariot]'s arm, trying to drag it into its mouth.

"[Magician's Red]!" the egyptian yelled in hurry, ordering his Stand to grab the silver Stand's same arm and tug it in the opposite direction. If not for his timely interference, Polnareff would've lost 3 fingers.

"G- Goddamn it, he's strong." Avdol cursed, sweating at the amount of exertion he put into saving his friend's hand. "What a monster!"

'Monster…!' he repeated in his head, suddenly coming to a dark conclusion after a faint delay. Yes, what he said applied literally. It all made sense now, how he survived this joint attack. His eyes widened in dread as he felt the need to alarm his friends. Telepathically.

"Polnareff, Kira, that's it! Bad news!"

"Bad news?"

"I… I figured it out! I figured out why Vanilla Ice isn't dead! But… I'm not sure if he himself knows the reason."

"What reason? Tell us, he's slowly overpowering you already!"

"I suspect… that Vanilla Ice is a vampire."

"A vampire?!"

"Like DIO?!"

"Think about it… if he was human, he wouldn't have survived that. But he did, which means he's immortal. He must've received DIO's blood."

"Holy shit…"

"What if he regenerates? Then he finds out and we're fucked, he'll attack more recklessly because he knows that it won't kill him."

"That's exactly why we have to kill him fast! Quick, we have to find a way to cast sunlight in here. The windows are not enough!"

Kira thought of the egyptian's last line. The quickest way to divert sunlight inside was to smash the walls. Avdol and Polnareff obviously couldn't do anything about that since they were already busy defending themselves from the strengthening Vanilla Ice. He himself didn't need a mention as to why.

The only one who could do it was Iggy. Yoshikage didn't know what role Iggy would've played had he not reset time with [Bites the dust]. Actually, he didn't even think about that. All he needed to know was that he had to trust the dog. 'He's an intelligent dog, alright. I'm counting on you, Iggy.'

"Hey Iggy, smash that wall behind us for me." Kira requested. "Go all out, destroy as much as you can. You see, if you do that, you'll be the greatest help today."

"Woof." the Boston Terrier nodded. He summoned [The Fool], preparing to smash the wall. Having an intelligent mind, Iggy understood about physics. So he manifested the sand Stand away from the wall to first let it accelerate and generate speed, so that the destructive force upon impact would be greater.

Crash

[The Fool] inflicted greater damage upon the wall than Yoshikage expected. The entire building shook, and sun rays hit the backs of the frenchman and egyptian.

With that part done, Kira only had to deliver a final message to his friends. "Duck"

Lowering their heads, but not out of respect, Polnareff and Avdol let their team work do the trick. The vampire stared into the daylight he didn't know was deadly for him. And when he realized that, it was already too late. He was turning into dust.

Though one benefit, one single benefit, DIO's fanatic gained from vampirism. He regenerated his vocal chords and mouth area to express his pain of disappearance with his voice. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaghhhhhh…"

As his clothes were still inside the safe space of [Cream], they disappeared with him. Vanilla Ice left no traces behind with his death. He died as his ability was, as nothing.

Vanilla Ice and [Cream] : Dead!

Avdol and Polnareff, as a consequence of still tugging against something whose power literally disappeared, fell backwards.

"Ow!"

"Ouch!"

In the end, they did get hurt a little. Though that was nothing compared to an entire body except for the forearms, toes, fingers and a large portion of the leg getting eaten.

"So he really was a vampire, huh? And we killed him." the frenchman muttered, not knowing whether to relax now or celebrate. That really was a hard decision, since this vampire was the most physically difficult enemy so far by far.

"Yes, we killed him. We all killed him. We won. We did it." Yoshikage said, unable to help but smile. "You and me, Polnareff. You and Avdol. Iggy. All of us."

"Hm, that's right." the egyptian smiled, proud of their achievement together.

"Woof!"

"But really, Kira, you played the biggest part. Without [Bites the dust], none of this would've been possible." Polnareff voiced his opinion, confusing Avdol and Iggy.

"[Bites the dust]…?"

Kira and the frenchman glanced at each other, nodded, turned their faces back to their unaware friends and gave them a wide smile each. "We'll tell you all about it after we end DIO."

That's right. The only enemy remaining now was the final villain, the big bad. DIO

Unreal. It's unreal how long you had to wait for this chapter. Well, when one doesn't have as much free time as one used to, that's inevitable.

About the chapter, there's a lot to tell. With Vanilla Ice out of the way, only very few chapters remain. Maybe just 2, maybe 3. Anyways, I managed to fit in [Bites the dust], having Kira utilize all 3 bombs. This allowed the second Vanilla Ice encounter with Avdol still alive. And right now, I want to clear things up about that fight. I am someone who's very considerate about powers and abilities and takes everything into account. So when writing something original with these powers, I can imagine anything convenient as long as it's technically possible and within the range of capabilities. As you can see, this is both a blessing and a curse. Avdol can technically use his flames as a wide range visibility detector, taking away the overwhelming canon advantage [Cream] had over Polnareff. That Stand's main danger point is its invisibility, which if negated, makes the Stand easy to dodge. So in a way, I regret that this fight was nowhere near as hype or thrilling as canon. Sorry about that.
