Grass and Forest Part 2
After Rina feels a little better, they all decide to go find some Grass Type Pokemon. Their first stop is the Viridian City, where they find the Bulbasaur evolution line. Geo says, "So this is where Bulbasaur lives? I never know about that."
"Totally, but there are few people know about this place because the Professors have sign an agreement with the breeders here to not reveal it if necessary." Ash says. "Just like the other Starter Pokemon."
"I see." Rina says.
Then they continue to go to the areas that are close to Celadon City and Saffron City, Ash says, "The Oddish evolution line and the Bellsprout evolution line has a vast population in these routes 5 to 8 which is why a lot of people need to be careful of them."
"Because they are dangerous?" Flora asks. "They are also Poison Type and if not careful they will poison us, right?"
"You are not wrong about that." Ash says. Then they also notice how the Pokemon are playing with each other.
Then they go to the Safari Zone, and Ash says, "This place is protected by the rangers, so if you want to capture Pokemon, you can't use your Pokemon and Pokeballs, you can only use the Safari Balls and there is also a limited of steps and times you can do it."
"Then why are we going here?" Rina asks.
"Because this is where the Exeggcute line is." Ash says as he shows them the Pokemon. As you can see, most of the Grass Type Pokemon living in the Kanto Region requires Leaf Stone to evolve."
"I never know about that." Geo says. "Leaf Stone must be very rare in the Kanto Region, right?"
Alice says, "That's not the case, you can find it in the Department stores and in the wild with no problem."
They watch how the Exeggcute and Exeggutor use the moves Barrage, and then they leave the area. Then they get back to the South of Pallet Town, which is Route 21. There they see a population of Tangela. "Some say that Tangela's body is made of seaweed because of their population near this sea, but actually they are just wide vines." Ash says as they are looking in awe.
Now that they have finished the Kanto, they go to Johto next, the Chikorita evolution line lives near the foot of the mountain." Ash says as they see the snow mountain. "This is also where I found my very own Chikorita." Ash says.
"But why under the snowy mountain?" Flora asks, "Aren't they afraid of cold?"
"Well, they are, but the snow water helps them grow." Ash says. "And I learned it when I was here last time."
They learn that the first Bellossom is found in the Ilex Forest, so they decide to look the Oddish Evolution line in the Johto Region, and they are in awe of it.
"And the next one is the Hoppip evolution line." Ash says, "The Hoppip, Skiploom and Jumpluff would appear at Route 32 and 33, which is near the Azalea Town when it is windy and sunny."
Then they see how the Hoppip and the evolutions fly in the wind. After that, they go to the National Park to see the Sunkern and Sunflora evolution line. The two Pokemon are drinking dewdrops from under the leaves of plants as the others take notes of it.
After seeing the Celebi, which are surprising to them, and then they get to the Hoenn. The first place is the Petalberg Woods as they find a giant tree, Ash says, "This is also a place where I found my Treecko. This tree was being destroyed once, but I am glad to get it revived."
The other people are in awe at the power of the nature, and then they move forward to find the Shroomish group in the same forest. After leaving, they go to Route 102 to find the group of Seedot, Nuzleaf and Shiftry. "So you mean that this Pokemon line has a counterpart that is Lotad? Why is that?"
Alice says, "Maybe it is because the similarity to evolve. Ludicolo needs a Water Stone to evolve, and Shiftry needs a Leaf Stone."
Ash says, "That maybe true, but the two lines also live very close to each other."
The next stop is Route 117, close to Mauville City, this is the place where Roselia lives and grows. Then they go to the desert in Route 111. Geo asks, "Are you serious that Cacnea and Cacturne line live in this desert? I can barely see anything because of the sand. Cacnea and Cacturne?"
"The textbook also said, the more arid and harsh the environment, the more pretty and fragrant a flower Cacnea grows. Since they originally found in Hoenn, so this place is the most harsh one." Alice says. Once they get into the cave, they start to record the data of the line.
After that, they go to the Route 119. Rina says, "Unlike the desert, this place is very humid..."
"Yes, and Pokemon like Tropius likes to live here." Ash says. Then they see a wild one and Ash picks a banana from it and then give it to the others. "Is it okay that we eat this?" Flora asks.
Alice says, "Don't worry about it, sis. They are delicious."
After finishing the fruit, they go to Sinnoh next. The first place they arrive is the Route 202, where they see a group of Turtwig, Ash says, "This place is also where I caught my own Turtwig...and I can't believe that he is gone..." Ash frowns as the others are pitying him, especially Alice.
"Sounds like your Turtwig, or Torterra if you evolved into the final form, is strong." Flora says.
"He is strong, he has been a great help in a lot of gym battles in the Sinnoh Region..." Ash says.
The next place is the Eterna Forest, where they find the Budew family. Alice says, "In the Hoenn Region, only Roselia was found back then, but now that the Sinnoh Region appears, the Budew and Roserade are also the ones that have been found."
"And why is that?" Geo asks.
"It is because of the existence of Shiny and Dusk Stone." Ash says as they continue walking. "See those Honey trees. Those were the places where Cherubi and Cherrim like to stay, so they are quite common in the Sinnoh Region."
"And for the Leafeon." Alice says, "In Hoenn, Sinnoh, Alola, Kalos and Unova, there is a rock known as the Moss Rock, which you can see it over there." As they see the rock, Flora says, "So that was the original way to evolve the Eevee into a Leafeon?"
"Yeah, as you can see, our textbooks say that Leaf Stone has the same energy as the rock, which is also able to have Eevee evolve into Leafeon as well." Alice says.
Then they go to the Great Marsh, where they meet the Carnivine family, Ash also tells them about the place also treated as the Safari Zone in the Sinnoh Region, as well as how sharp the teeth Carnivine has. They also notice the Tangela family and Ash also adds the fact that the first Tangrowth is found in the Sinnoh Region because of the move Ancient Power that makes the Pokemon evolve.
Then they head north to the Route 216 and 217, where they can find the Snover and Abomasnow. The place is snowy, so they have to wear jackets in order to continue forward.
Ash says, "Now for the last Pokemon in Sinnoh, we are going to find the Shaymin. Shyamin lives in a place known as the Flower Paradise."
As they arrive at Route 224, Ash says, "See that rock, it is a Stone tablet. Does anyone of you want to solve this?"
Flora says, "Let me try it." As she examines the rock, she says, "It seems like we are going to express our gratitude to someone who we cherish the most."
After they all say their gratitude, suddenly, the path starts to bloom and then a hidden pathway appears. "How is that possible?"
"You should thank Shaymin for that." Ash groans as he hears the voice, and they see the real Shaymin in front of them. "Shaymin...But it is in the normal form..."
Ash says, "Long time no see, Shaymin." Then Shaymin hopes onto Ash's hat and then hides inside, Ash sighs a little and he says, "Shaymin likes to do that ever since we traveled together." Then he also gives him a poffin, and it eats it happily.
Once they arrived at the Flower Paradise, they are in awe at the sight as Shaymin touches the Gracidea Flower and changes into Sky Form. Ash says, "The first time I came here is by accident, when we were into the Distortion World, we ended up here and this is where we parted ways with Shaymin."
The group listen to the story about the Giratina and Shaymin, and they are amazed by it. After that, they have Shaymin demonstrate the Seed Flare, as they take notes of it.
Once they are done, they bid farewell to Shaymin as they go to the Unova Region. The Snivy line is actually living at Route 3, it is also where Ash caught one even though she left its trainer. And Ash is also sad that the fact that Snivy was also taken away from him as well. Once they are finished, they head to the Pinwheel Forest to find the Pansage line. And then they head to the Pinwheel Forest as they are going to see the Cottonee and Petilil line.
"Why are those two also counterparts as well?" Rina asks Alice. "Is it because they evolve from Sun Stone?"
"Maybe." Alice says, "Sometimes Pokemon are mysterious and we don't know why they are like this."
Ash says, "And inside of this place is the Rumination Field. Where Virizion likes to live."
"Can we see Virizion in there?" Rina asks with excitement. "Of course, the ones yesterday already seen it." Ash says.
After seeing Virizion, they are in awe at how it uses the Sacred Sword. And then they also have some fun with her until they leave the place.
As they arrived at the Desert Resort, they meet the Maractus line and Geo says, "Another desert and a Pokemon who is similar to Cacnea and Cacturne..."
"Yeah. Maractus likes to live in desert places as well." Ash says.
Then they get to Route 6 and 7, where they see Pokeballs around the road. Alice says, "And those are Foongus and Amoonguss. They like to pretend themselves as Pokeballs."
As they see how they pretend themselves in front of them, they laugh a little. Then they go inside of the Chargestone Cave to find the Ferroseed and Ferrothorn line. "Ferroseed line tends to create moss with the power of the electrical stones in the Chargestone cave. That is why there are some moss inside."
Now they are at the Kalos Region, they first go to the Chespin's habitat, which is located near Route 20. And it is also where the Moss Rock is located. And then they go to Route 12, where there is a Skiddo Farm that they can find Skiddo and Gogoat there.
After it is finished, they go to the Alola Region. The Rowlet is at the Melemele Forest which is located inside of Route 1. They also get to Lush Jungle as they watch the other Grass Type Pokemon, which are Lurantis, Shiinotic and Tsareena. They also try out the trial there, and they think it easy as they just need to gather some stuff in order to lure the Totem out.
Once they are at the Haina Desert, Flora asks, "Why are we in a desert again? This is the third desert we have been..."
"Because the Ruins of Abundance is inside." Ash says as they walk through the forest and find the Tapu Bulu who is sleeping. Ash wakes it up and they are in awe at how he mows the field and plant the berry trees.
"I was surprised at first once I see it, and it is thanks to Tapu Bulu that my Rowlet learns Razor Leaf back then." Ash says.
After seeing the Nature's Madness, they decide to leave as Ash says, "Like what I did to Helen and the other Fire Type users, I will also take you to an Ultra Space, I know a Grass Type Pokemon that you will be surprised to see that is not in our world."
As they enter the Ultra Forest, they are surprised to see people wearing big hats. And much to their surprise is the fact that they see a Pokemon who manages to break a giant rock with a slash.
"What power is that..." Rina says in surprise.
"That is Kartana, its body which is as thin as paper, is like a sharpened sword. One cut can break a lot of things." Ash sighs.
And finally in the Galar Region, they find the Grookey line living at Dappled Grove, and then the Gossifleur line at Route 3 and eventually the Applin line in the Route 5's Trees. Once they are done, they go back to the house in Eterna Forest and Ash asks, "So what do you think of the Grass Type lessons for today?"
Flora says, "Grass Type Pokemon sure are vast and they really are great in some ways."
Geo says, "Indeed. Some Pokemon were dangerous, but some of them are actually friendly, I am glad that we are friends with them."
Rina says, "Seeing all those Grass Type Pokemon, I feel like my illness is getting better just by learning a lot from them."
"That's good to know." Alice says, and then they head back to school as Ash and Alice are going to give a report to Aurora.
