After seemingly being killed, Chris is transported to another world by an unatural phenomenon called "The Breach" and is given the power to turn into a Titan. Armed with the knowledge of this world, Chris has to face threats from both Human, Grimm, and Titans alike...what could go wrong? A lot apparently.

16. Runaway Baby

Emerald Forest (Yang POV)

As the Beowulf charged towards me, I reeled my fist back as it came closer with each step. As it lunged, I ducked and slammed my fist into its abdomen, making it spew out it's saliva...gross

Th Beowolf then went limp as it finally turned into nothing but ash.

I sighed "That was pretty tough"

"Good job, Yang" A voice said

I turned around to see Blake behind me "Blake!"

"You said you didn't need help, so I just watched. Are you all right?" She asked

"I'm good!" I said "Although...I did have a bit of a hard time"

"I see.." Blake trailed offl, her eyes narrowed as she was suddenly walking towards me

"Is...something wrong?" I asked, confused

"Hey, Yang? Your eyes...when did they start turning red?" She asked

"My...eyes?" I asked

"Yeah. Your eyes" Blake said

I, um...I guess I've never thought about it. I don't think about my eyes when I'm fighting. No wait...when I was young

(Flashback) (Years Ago) (3rd Person POV)

Just to the west of Vale lays the Island of Patch, home to a young Yang Xiao Long and a very young Ruby Rose

"Yang!" Ruby shouted "C'mon, hurry!"

"Yeah, yeah" Yang said

However, the hyperactive girl was just excited, she continued to venture off

"Hey. Slow down. Ruby" Yang said

"I'm going ahead!" Ruby shouted

However unknown to both of them, they were being watched by something.

"Wait-" Yang said, but cut herself out when a large figure was in front of Ruby "Ruby! Behind you!"

As the young rose turned around, she was face-to-face with a large Ursa. It reeled his massive claws back and was about to kill the young rose...only for Yang to pick up and throw a large rock at the Ursa, knocking it out

"It's knocked out! Let's get outa here!" Yang shouted

"O-Okay" Ruby said, slightly petrified

Emerald Forest (Yang POV)

"I was just desperate. I didn't even know my eyes had turned red. Looking back at it now, we were really lucky" I said

"You were" Blake said

"But..." I trailed off

But I was cut off by the sound of another familiar voice "Yang!"

I turned around to see Ruby "Ruby!"

"You were taking so long I came to get you" Ruby said "What were you guys talking about?"

I smirked "I was just saying how cut you've always been!"

"Stop teasing me!" Ruby shouted

"You guys are adorable" Blake pitched in

All of a sudden, a flock of small Nevermores flew towards the four Huntresses

Yang gasped "Watch out!"

Blake lifted her arms to cover her eyes, and after a few moments, the flock flew off into the distance

Yang ran towards her teammate "Blake! Are you alright?!"

"Yeah...I'm fine..." Blake said as she got up

But to Yangs surprise, Blake's ribbon was gone, revealing her pair of car ears underneath "What happened? Your ribbon!?"

"Yang!" A voice shouted

Blake went wide eyed as she used her semblance and her weapon and ran away from the area

"What the-? Blake!?" Yang shouted, as she turned towards the source the noise, revealing it to be Nora and Pyrrha

"Hey!" Pyrrha said

"Have you seen Ren and Jaune?" Nora asked

"Uh..." Yang pondered

(Blake POV)

I ran off in the middle of class. Before Nora and Pyrrah could see me, I used my semblance, along with Gambol Shroud and hid in a tree

'That was close...' I said to myself

My team only found out I'm a Faunus A while back. If Yang didn't already know, that could've been really bad...but Yang did know about my ears

I remember my first day at Beacon. I was in a world, surrounded by strangers.

I was nervous thinking about what was under my ribbon. I made sure it was tied tight over and over

I hoped it would be fine

'That ribbon is cute!'

I remember those words like it was yesterday. That's why I decided to follow Yang. But things are different now. I'm not just a partner with a cute ribbon. I'm a Faunus

"Blake!" A voice shouted

It broke me out of my thoughts, and I turned towards the source of the voice, it was Yang

"You done with the exercise?" I asked

"No, I bailed! Can't be in class when my partner's in trouble!" Yang said "You're looking for your ribbon aren't you? Did you find it?"

"I think I lost it" I asked as I jumped down

But...I wonder how she feels about my ears...I'm curious

Yang's eyes narrowed as she was now fixated on my ears

"What?" I asked, then sighed "I...don't blame you if you hate me. I'm a Faunus after all"

"No, don't be ridiculous. I actually made something for you" Yang said as she held something behind her back

"What...is it?" I asked

All of a sudden, Yang lifted her arms up and plopped something on my head...it was a make-shift flower crown

"What d'you think? Is it too big?" She asked

"What...?" I asked

She makes me feel at ease

Yang flash a grin "Is that better?"

"Y-Yeah..." I said

"It looks cute on you too" Yang said "C'mon! Let's go find your ribbon!"

Yang is a good friend. I made the right choice

"But...What about classes?" I asked

(3rd Person POV) (Timeskip)

"Team RWBY, you're penalized for being late" Glynda said

Yang and Ruby were smirking while Weiss was mortified

'Maybe not' Blake thought to herself

Professor Goodwitch sighed "We'll continue the rest of the lesson inside of the classroom...please don't be late" She said as the other students trailed behind her

But as Ruby was walking she noticed that her cape ripped...maybe it was time for her and her teammates get gets some actual new uniforms

Beacon Academy, Professor Harold Mulberry's Classroom (3rd Person POV)

It was currently 2:00 PM and the two shifters were currently in weapons class, where students do improvements on their weapons. The class was led by Professor Harold who was currently walking around the classroom, making sure his students were making improvements

Chris was currently trying to make his sword bigger, making it look less like a katana and more like a "bulked up" sword

Jeffery was currently making more adjustments to his shield gauntlets, beside using air dust to make a fire tornado. He want to experiment by mixing water dust with his plasma to make some sort of "smokescreen" whenever needed. With him being a tech geek, this was no problem

In fact, Jeffery had become one of Professor Mulberry's favourite students

"Excellent work as always Mr. Blaze" Professor Harold said

Jeffery turned around "Thanks"

Professor Harold nodded as he walked Jeffery was working on his weapon, he heard a slight snickering sound. He turned to is left to she Chris snickering

"...What?" Jeffery questioned

"Your last name...is Blaze?" Chris questioned

"It is. Got a problem with it?" Jeffery asked

Chris snickered "It sounds so cheesy!"

"Hey at least I have a last name" Jeffery said, with a smirk

I've always fought wearing a cape.

And I finally realized something

It rips way too easily...I think it's time we thought about getting new outfits

Professor Goodwitch's Classroom (3rd Person POV)

Team RWBY were currently spending the rest of their class time in Professor Goodwitch's lecture room, going over small battle strategies

Yang was getting sleepy, Blake was going over "notes", while Weiss was trying to wake Ruby up, who had fallen asleep

"Wake up..." Weiss whispered, poking Ruby with a pencil

"Just...a little longer...I was up all night" Ruby muttered

Weiss continued to poke her with a pencil, until she poked Ruby in the armpit, causing her to shoot up, catching the attention of everyone in the classroom, including Professor Goodwitch

"You again. You can't keep dozing off in class. Especially if you're going to jump up like that everytime you wake" Goodwitch said "Your behaviour is unbecoming for a student admitted on recommendation"

(Timeskip) Beacon Courtyard

"That wasn't nice, Weiss" Ruby said "You didn't have to wake me up like that"

"You've been staying up too late for the last couple days...same as Blake" Weiss said

"What?" Blake asked

"What are you doing?" Weiss asked

"Nothing out of the ordinary. Just something that I've been working on" ruby said, but as she continued walking, she unknowingly dropped a note from the pile of textbooks she was carrying "I'll tell you when I'm done"

"You'll keep me up all night wondering about it" Weiss said

Blake noticed, bent over, and picked up the note and began to read it ""I think Weiss's next outfit should incorporate armour"" Blake said, catching the attention of the rest of her teammates ""She thrusts her sword a lot, so it should be bigger too. Maybe she should just have a lance. She'll give off a much more dangerous impression, with her hair tied in the back"" Blake finished "But the weight might make it hard to move"

"It'll hide your breasts too" Ruby added

Weiss immediately zoomed over, grabbed Ruby by the arms and gave her a glare that would send chills up anyone's spine

"Relax, relax" Yang said, trying to defuse he situation

"WHAT IS THIS?! I KNOW YOU'RE THE TEAM LEADER, BUT NOW YOU'RE GOING TO TELL US WHAT TO WEAR?!" Weiss shouted "...But...at least it isn't those...other uniforms"

"Come on, Weiss. We'll be changing outfits soon. It might not be a bad idea to discuss it" Yang said "We should know what everyone is thinking" She said as she peeped over Ruby's shoulder

"You think this is a joke, don't you?" Ruby asked

"Nope!" Yang said "What else you got?"

"Well, I think this one would be good for Blake" Ruby said "I think Blake would look good in something more loose fitting. A Mistrilian-style outfit with a trimmed hem for easier movement. And a katana"

'So all our weapons are bigger, huh?' Yang thought

Ruby then pulled out a katana from...somewhere. And with stars in her eyes, handed it to Blake

"No Thank you. I've never used one..." Blake said

"Fo you, Yang" Ruby began "Increased ammunition hidden al over the place. Maybe a grenade launcher on your arm!"

'She's just trying to increase my damage output!' Yang thought 'Actually, I'm fine with that'

Blake turned to Yang "You're considering it, aren't you?"

Ruby zoomed up to Weiss "Weiss! I need your credit card again!" She shouted as she zoomed off

"Why does this always happen!?" Weiss complained

"I'll go and make sure she doesn't buy anymore cookies" Yang said as she ran after Ruby, leaving only Blake and Weiss in the hallway

"So...Blake, do you w-" Weiss tried to say

Blake cut her off "Actually, I need to do something" She said as she began to walk off, leaving Weiss alone

"Did...I say something wrong?" Weiss asked herself

(Timeskip) Beacon West Wing Dormitories

Blake was currently on her way back towards her dorm. Ever since her day at Argusline, she has been...distant. It's what Blake does, but it has been happening more frequent. The only time she does talk is whenever she's in class or other projects

After secretly tracing Mafune's phone call, she learned that it was towards someone named "Jack O'Lantern" andJake", or something along those lines. But who was he? A member of the White Fang? One of Roman's grunts? Or...could it be the...giant chicken Yang was talking about

First it was the Mechagodzilla incident, now it was this, whatever was happening, it was only a matter of time until they strike again...and they won't wait until they're ready or not

Blake couldn't shake those thoughts, so she's been doing some digging, going on websites to find facts, rumours or possibly some sort of information about it

But as she was about to turn the corner, she heard a voice, one that she knew but one that she didn't like

"Oh, Little Red, Little Red, laugh while you can...BECAUSE ROMAN TORCHWICK IS BACK IN TOWN! Mwu-hahahahahahahahahahahah!"

Blake snarled before Suddenly running around the corner and tackling the source of the noise in the hallway to the ground, before bringing one of her hands towards the figures throat

"DON'T SCRATCH! DON'T SCRATCH!" The voice shouted

'Wait...' Blake thought until she got a closer look at the figure. Who she thought was Torchwick...was actually Chris

"Oh my god! I am so sorry!" Blake apologized as she got up "I thought you were-"

Chris cut her off "It's fine. But...thank you for not clawing my eyes out, I kinda need them"

Blake slightly laughed, until sher grin turned into a frown

"Did...I say something wrong?" Chris said

"No...it's just...I have a bit on my mind right now" She said as she began to walk off

(My POV)

Did...I say something wrong?

Then again...probably not the best place to do my Roman Torchwick impression. Actually, the only person who seems to like that is Alice

With classes ending tomorrow, means: A, we only have less than a year until you-know-what comes up. B, we now know that they have a shifter of their own and there could be possibly more. And C...I have to grade finals...OH FUN!

So am I nervous?...Probably, at least we have a few advantages. A, we can turn into giant fucking monsters, B, I know what is going to happen next, and C...well, I don't have a C...but I'll think of one!

But before I could continue my small rant, I heard footsteps coming up from behind me. I turned around to see Jeffery and Alice

"Oh, hey guys" I said "Do you need something?"

"No" Alice said

"The wonderful wizard of Oz called for us" Jeffery said

"What for?" I asked

Jeffery shrugged "I don't know. Maybe it's-"

"Uh...what happened to your neck?" Jeffery asked

"Blake...Torchwick impression" I responded

"Ah" Jeffery said in realization "I told you that was going to get you killed"

"Hope she's going to be alright" Alice said

"It'll work out" I said

(Timeskip) Beacon Tower (3rd Person POV)

Shortly after classes, Ozpin has called up Team CJA_ for unknown reasons. Was it another assignment? Or was it something else entirely.

The levator made a slight ding, indicating that the shifters were currently on the top floor

"Ozpin...what's going on?" Chris asked as he walked in

"Just about an hour ago, a group of huntsman had discovered...and object located at the falls. And we were hoping you would know what it was" Ozpin said

"So, we're the fountain of knowledge for these types of things?" Jeffery asked

"I believe it's in your job description" Ozpin said

"...Can't argue with that I guess" Jeffery muttered

"Anyways...just tell us where it is and we'll take care of the rest" Chris said

"There's no need for that" Ozpin said

"...Why?" Chris asked

Then on cue, the elevator behind us dinged and the doors opened, revealing Goodwitch, holding a giant object mid-air, using her semblance. It resembled that of a giant potato with some sort of "webbing" surrounding it

Team CJA_'s heart dropped as they saw the object

"Professor...put it down...very, very slowly" Jeffery said

Professor Goodwitch did as he asked and placed the egg and the floor as slowly as she could

"Well...what is it?" Ozpin asked

"Ozpin...it's an egg" Chris said bluntly "And how the hell couldn't you tell it was an egg in the first place!?"

"Honestly...I've had it with eggs as of late" Jeffery said, as he pulled out his gauntlets "And this is far bigger than the ones back in Lower Cairn. Meaning something big is going to hatch"

Alice stepped in front of it "Stop! It hasn't done anything!"

"Not yet!" Jeffery said "Besides the last thing that hatched tried to eat me!"

"But it's a baby!" Alice countered

"So was the thing that was going to eat me!" Jeffery countered

As the two shifters began to argue back and forth. Chris turned back towards professor Ozpin, who was still sitting at his desk...grinning slightly while thinking to himself

"Uh, Ozpin...what...are you thinking?" Chris asked nervously

Ozpin simply stood up, cane in-hand and walked over to the egg and kneeled towards it "Well, whatever this creature is, if it's possible, I would like you three to raise it. It could prove to be an invaluable ally in your coming battles"

Beacon Tower (My POV)

Do you even know what you're even saying Oz!?

('I'm sure your friend wouldn't like that')

I snickered "Yeah"

"I'm glad we came to an agreement" Ozpin said

Wait...what?

DAGON YOU SONUVABITCH! YOU PLANNED THIS!

('You gave others a chance, give this one the same')

...Alright...but if we get eaten, we're blaming you

Beacon Tower (3rd Person POV)

"Chris, why did you say that!?" Jeffery slightly shouted

"I don't know! It was instinctual!" Chris countered

"Well your "instincts" could've gotten us killed!" Jeffery said

But before anyone else could respond, they were cut off by the sound of cracking. It got everyone's attention on the egg which began to shake slight as more cracks began to form on it's shell

"She's gonna blow!" Chris shouted

"Take cover!" Jeffery shouted

The others tried to take cover, however as the egg hatched, it drenched Chris in a strong yellow mucus "Ugh! Gross!" Hs said as he tried to get the mucus off of his clothes

"SKRREENK"

He immediately stopped and whipped his head towards the source of the roar. In the egg was a reptile

The creature resembled that of some sort of theropod, or more preferably, a raptor.

It has a rough, square-shaped underbite and a pronounced chin, a long and thick neck with a small, spiky dewlap, fin-shaped scutes and long, powerful legs and arms. It's is lipless with numerous small, pyramid-shaped teeth that are always visible, even when his mouth is closed, and stick out over both his upper and lower jaws, much like a crocodile. His eyes are fiery-looking, with bright yellow pupils and orange sclera. It's feet possess three large, dinosaur-like primary digits on the front and a much smaller, seemingly vestigial, hallux on the back.

The creature then hopped out of it's egg, covered in the same yellow mucus and began to make it ways around the room, it's leg trembling and stumbling

"Uh...what's with it's legs?" Jeffery asked

"They're underdeveloped, Jeffery" Chris said

The baby then began to sniff the air until it turned it's attention towards Chris and began stumbling his way towards him

"Uh...guys" Chris whispered, slightly scarred

"Maybe he won't see you...if you don't move" Jeffery whispered

Chris whipped his head towards Jeffery "Are you seriously basing your facts on Jurassic Park?!"

Chris hen turned his head back around to see that the baby was not face to face with him, making him jump backwards and falling back first on the floor "Uh...nice...raptor...thing"

The baby countuned it's small trek towards the shifter and bent it's large head toward his, sniffed it and began to lick his face

"Hey stop that tickles!" Chris said in between laughs

"Are you okay?" Alice asked

"Yeah, a little slobbery but I'm good" Chris said

"Uh...what's going on?" Jeffery asked

"I guess it has to do with the mucus from the egg" Chris said

"You mean that gunk?" Jeffery asked

Chris nodded "Yep. My guess is that...gunk, had the creature's scent on me...and since I was the first one it saw..." Chris trailed off

"And what?" Alice asked

.

"And it may have imprinted on me" Chris finished, as the baby went under his arm

"Now hold on a damn sec-" Jeffery tried to say

Professor Goodwitch cut him off "Jeffery, language!"

"Professor...swearing is a main part of his vocabulary" Chris said "As I have come to learn"

"I don't even know if I should be insulted or not" Jeffery muttered "Anyways back to the...thing. Are you saying that it thinks that you're its mother?" Jeffery asked

"Dad" Chris corrected

"Meaning...it's loyal to you?" Alice asked

"Pretty much" Chris said

"And...it's not going to eat us?" Jeffery asked

Chris shrugged "Only if you piss it off I guess"

"Then it's settled" Ozpin said as he got up "You three are responsible for this..." He trailed off

"Baby" Jeffery said

"Uh Jeffery, we know it's a baby but-" Alice tried to say

Jeffery cut it off "No, it's name is Baby"

"You named it...Baby?" Alice questioned

"Is there something wrong with it?" Jeffery asked

"Not the most creative name, but it fits...I guess" Chris said "But...what are we going to do with him...?" He said, as everyone turned towards the baby...who had gotten into Ozpin's hot cocoa cabinet, poking it's head out which was now covered in cocoa mix "Her...? It...?"

"All of my...cocoa...gone" Ozpin said, his voice starting to tremble

"Sorry about your cocoa, Professor" Alice apologized

"It's...fine" Ozpin said, his voice slightly trembling

.

"Are you...gonna cry?" Jeffery asked

.

.

"No..." Ozpin said, his voice trembling even more

.

"Your eyes are starting to get watery" Chris said

"I can assure you that I'm not" Ozpin said, trying to hold it in

"Uh...guys?" Alice said, trying to get their attention

"We can go out and get you more if you want" Chris said

"No...that's fine" Ozpin said

"Uh...guys?" Alice repeated

"Yeah?" Chris and Jeffery said in unison

But before Alice could respond, everyone present in the room heard a ding come from the elevator, implying that it reached the bottom floor...and Baby was gone

"Uh...where is it?" Jeffery asked

"...Oh shit" Chris muttered

Beacon Library (3rd Person POV)

It was currently 2:00 PM and classes were almost done for the day. The library was packed with all kinds of students rather it be be Human or Faunus. However, a particular person was currently in the library

Weiss, being the perfect student she strives to be, looks over an assignment that was assigned by Professr Oobleck and was due by next class. She was currently checking for any mistakes she may have overlooked, before turning it in

Satisfied with what she has, she got up and began to walk out of the library with her finished assignment in hand. As she walked throughout the empty halls of Beacon, with the only thing standing out was the elevator, made a slight ding

Weiss suddenly stopped so that way she wouldn't be in anyone's way. All of a sudden, three figures rushed out of the elevator, revealing themselves to be Team CJA_ who then started to trip over one another

"Where did it go!?" Chris slightly shouted

"I don't know! You were suppose to watch it!" Jeffery slight shouted

Chris whipped his head "Why was I suppose to watch it!?"

"You said it imprinted on you!" Jeffery slight shouted

"Doesn't mean it's only my responsibility!" Chris countered

"You were he one who agreed to it!" Jeffery countered

As the two shifters were going back and forth with one another. Alice and Weiss were standing across from them

"Do I...even want to know what's going on?" Weiss asked

"We just...lost something" Alice said

"Lost what?" Weiss asked

"...Something" Alice said, trying to keep quiet about it "Jeffery, Chris, do you guys really have time for this?"

Jeffery and Chris turned towards Alice "Good point"

"I'll start looking in the courtyard. Maybe it ran outside" Chris said

"Uh, what ran outside?" Weiss asked

"Good idea" Jeffery said "I'll go check the eastern wing of campus, maybe it's hungry"

"Uh...what's hungry?" Weiss asked

"I'll go and check the western part of campus!" Alice said

"EXCUSE ME!" Weiss shouted, catching the attention of all of them

"Who or what are you searching for!?" Weiss asked, angrily

"Uh..." Chris trailed off

"We are looking for..." Jeffery trailed off

"I don't have all day!" Weiss said, angrily

"Chris' dog!" Alice sputtered out, catching the attention of all of them "We're looking for his dog!"

Weiss faced Chris "Is that right?"

"Uh...yeah" Chris said "We just got him and he's already causing trouble"

"Well why did you just say so?" Weiss asked

"Huh?" Jeffery questioned "You...like dogs?" Jeffery questioned

"Why wouldn't I?" Wess asked

"I just expected yo-" Jeffery tried o say

Chris zoomed over and covered his mouth "You seemed like the kind of person who doesn't like pets"

"I'll let you know if I see...what's his name?" Weiss asked

"Baby" Jeffery responded

"You named it...Baby?" Weiss questioned

"I wanted to name it Chibisuke" Chris muttered

"Well, I let you know if I see him. What kind of breed is he?" Weiss asked

"He's a...German Shepard Puppy" Chris said "Thanks for helping us out

Weiss nodded "As a Schnee, it's my duty to help those unfortunate of me" She said as she walked off

"Was she mocking us?" Jeffery asked

"I don't think it was intentional" Chris said

"Well, we should starting looking" Jeffery said

"Good idea" Chris said "Turn on ringtone on your scrolls. If you see him...her...it, let us know immediately"

Alice and Chris nodded as splitted apart. Chris was going to the courtyard which includes most of the outside, Jeffery was going to the Eastern part of campus, while Alice was going towards the Western part of campus

Professor Oobleck's Classroom (3rd Person POV)

After a few minutes of walking, Weiss had finally made her way to Professor Oobleck's lectureroom. As she opened the door, she notied that the classroom was empty, the only thing standing out were the large stack of papers On his desk

The heiress walked over towards her assigned desk and at down, however her scroll started to ring. She sighed as she took it out, revealing Yang to the one calling her

Weiss sighed "Yes, Ruby?"

"Weiss...I forgot Crescent Rose! Can you check if I left it back in the dorm?"

"Absolutely not!" Weiss shouted

"Come on Weiss, I already tried calling Blake, and she isn't picking up! Pllllllleeeeeaaaaaaseeee!?"

Weiss sighed "Fine!" She said as she got up "But I swear, if this keeps on happening I'll-" She tried to say but was cut off when she closed the door. However unknown to her, she accidentally didn't close the door completely, leaving a small crack for anyone to access with a simple push

But as Weiss turned the corner, another figure had turned the corner opposite of hers, it was the missing Baby and was now in front of Professor Oobleck's classroom door. It sniffed the handle before turning his head to face the small crack. Curious, it used its large head to push against the door, opening it and allowing it to gain access to the room

The Baby turned it's head left and right, taking in it's new surroundings and scents, some of which he hasn't smelt before. The Baby slowly crept around the room, smelling anything that it came across, from the seats, to the desks, the shelves, and even the floor.

It slowly made its way towards the front of the classroom where it began to "examine" the strange items on the desk. The baby sniffed the papers scattered across the desk, breathing in and out, causing a few of them to fly everywhere, catching the Baby by surprise

But before it could react, something else caught it's attention, his scent to be exact. The Baby sniffed the air as his eyes laid upon an open green canister. It lowered its head towards the canister, smoke pouring out of it. The baby began to smell the canister.

Unknown to the Baby, his eyes laid upon Professor Oobleck's canister, filled to the brim with his prized coffee he enjoys so much. The Baby picked the canister up with it's jaws and began to drink it's contents

As the Baby drank the canisters contents, the liquid began to escape it's jaws...and onto Weiss' paper. As the Baby quenched it's thirst, it opened it's jaws as it dropped the canister back on Professor Oobleck's desk.

But before it could do anything else, it turned towards a small spill of coffee and the now coffee-drenched homework on a nearby desk. The Baby leaned it's head towards the spill and began to lick the desk clean...and for it to eat Weiss' homework in the process

(A/N: Wow...the dog really did eat your homework)

The Baby let out a satisfied growl, but was still hungry. The Baby turned back towards the door and began to walk out of the classroom.

A few moments have passed and a green blur was seen zooming down the hallway and into the classroom. The green blur was no one other than Professor Oobleck who was now waiting for his students to enter the classroom

Professor Oobleck zoomed up to his desk, placed his mug on the desk, picked up his canister and poured what he expected to be coffee, only for nothing to pour out

"Hm!?" Professor Oobleck, hummed in surprise as he looked inside his canister "I could've sworn I filled it this morning" He said as students started to walk in the classroom and take their seats, including Weiss who noticed that her paper was gone from her desk

'He must've collected it' Weiss thought to herself as she sat down

Professor Oobleck tuned around "Ah! Good afternoon class!" He said as he zoomed around the class "Does everyone have their assignment that was due by this class?"

Every student pulled out their assignment from their folders and held them up. Professor Oobleck nodded as he zoomed across the classroom and grabbed each of everyone's papers, with the exception of Weiss who though that he already collected it

After collecting all of his student's work, he zoomed back towards his desk, grabbed a red pen and started marking them at speeds that would put any teacher to shame. As he finished marking them, he zoomed around the classroom once more and handed them back out to each student

"Aw man..."

"Are you kidding me!?"

"Yes!"

Multiple murmurs and whispers slightly echoed throughout the classroom. Weiss on the other hand was sitting and smiling confidently about her assignment, but as Professor Oobleck zoomed by her desk...there was nothing

'Huh?' Weiss thought to herself, then raised her hand "Uh, Professor Oobleck?"

Professor Oobleck zoomed over to Weiss "Doctor Oobleck"

"Well...Doctor, I noticed that you didn't give me back my assignment" Weiss said

"That's because you didn't have it" Oobleck said

"I did. It was right here on the table!" Weiss said "Didn't you collect it?"

"No" Oobleck said" But I'm sorry Miss Schnee! Your assignment was due by this class!" Professor Oobleck said "I'm sorry to say this, but I'm gonna have to take off 10% of your grade on this assignment each day it isn't turned in"

"WHAT?!" Weiss screamed, her scream echoing across Beacon

(Eastern Wing Hallway) (3rd Person POV)

"I felt like i just missed something...wonderful" Jeffery said

('Shouldn't you be continuing your search for the whelp?')

Jeffery sighed "Good point" he said as he continued his search

Beacon Cafeteria (3rd Person POV)

Beacon's cafeteria is where most students hang out when it's lunch or when it's break. And surprisingly, the kitchen is accessible to most students to make their own food. Teams such as Team RWBY used it to grill a fish, this time, Ren was in the kitchen making pancakes

Team JNPR had recently finished the remainder of classes for today. And as a celebration, Nora recommended that Ren should make pancakes...this time with the syrup. However as a precaution, Ren had to lock the door shut...with chains

Ren was currently at the stove flipping the pancakes with a paN. Eventually using the pan to throw the pancake, onto another stack of pancakes. However, just before Ren could make another one, he realized that he ran out of pancake batch.

Now this wouldn't be a problem, considering he made an entire stack of pancakes...but when it comes to Nora, it's not enough...not by a long-shot

He turned the stove off and walked to the pantry, opened it's doors and saw that there was no more flour. He simply shrugged, unlocked the door, opened it slightly to check if a certain "hyper ginger head" was near. Thankfully she wasn't, although she was known to be...unpredictable

As he walked out, he carefully made sure he locked the door by pulling the chain slightly. Ren smiled and nodded as he walked out of the cafeteria in the search of more flour. But as he left, a figure crawled out of a cabinet, revealing itself to be Nora who had snuck in, prior to when Ren first started baking

Nora whipped her head left and right, making sure that Ren was gone. Her eyes then laid upon a big stack of golden, pancakes, with butter and syrup on top

Nora had a mischievous grin and she brushed her palms together "COME TO MAM-" Nora tried to say, but was cut off when she heard the sound of someone trying to open the kitchen door

Thinking it was Ren, she quickly zoomed back into the cabinet and close the door. Whatever or whoever was trying to get in, kept putting pressure on the door, until the door broke off of its hinges, clearly being knocked down by something and that was Baby

Before breaking down the door, the baby had pushed his head against the door, trying to get in. It had enough and pounced on the door...and breaking it

The Baby shook it's head as it got up, taking in it's surroundings once more and started to look around the kitchen, accidentally banging his head on utensils hanging on the wall, that is until it's eyes landed upon the golden stack of pancakes

It's tilt its head as it slowly approached the stack of pancakes on the counter. It carefully moved it's head towards the stack and started to smell it. What it was, it was something that the whelp hasn't smelt before, and it nose, it smelt delightful

The baby's mouth started the drool, it's tail started to wag as it lunged his head towards the stack of pancakes and started to devour he stack of pancakes in front of it

This was something he never eaten before it was sweet, yet dry. In only a matter of moments, the stack of pancakes was gone. The baby let out a satisfied growl as the last pancake hanged out of it's jaws. Satisfied, the baby turned around, and walked out of the kitchen

Another few moments have passed and Nora, who was listening to the entire thing was relieved when no one saw her. Nora's whipped her head back around...expecting to see the golden stack of pancakes, only to see a plate with crumbs, so small that not enough for a mouse

"WHO TOOK MY PANCAKES?!" Nora shouted "ONLY I CAN DO THAT TO PEOPLE!"

"Ahem" A voice said, catching Nora's attention.

Nora whipped her head around to the source of the noise to see Ren, carrying a big bag of flour...and with an unamused look

"Nora...did you eat my pancakes again?"ren asked

"What!? No!" Nora defended

"Nora..." Ren asked sternly

"I swear it was not me this time!" Nora defended

"Nora..." Ren said sternly

"Uh...what's going on in here?" Another voice said

Nora and Ren turned to see Alice in the cafeteria

Ren sighed "Nora ate all the pancakes again"

"I did no such thing!" Nora defended

"Actually...I have a hard time believing that" Alice said

"Anyways, what brings you here?" Nora asked, attempting to change the subject

"I'm...looking for something" Alice said

"Looking for what?" Ren asked

"For...a dog" Alice said, putting mental quotations on "dog"

"Do you need help looking for it?" Ren asked

"Uh, no, we're fine!" Alice shrugged off

Nora gasped "It was the dog that ate the pancakes!"

"Nora...dogs can't break down a locked door with chains" Ren deadpanned

Beacon Courtyard (3rd Person POV)

Right after their class, Yang and Ruby had decided to head out to the city of Vale in order to pick up supplies for their new outfits. Currently, Yang was pushing Bumblebee, her motorcycle back towards the housing area for student transportation As Ruby trailed right beside her.

They were currently talking about the usuaul, how are class going, have you heard of this, the typical sibling talk. But as they arrived back on campus, Yang left Bumblebee in the middle of the courtyard which didn't go unnoticed by Ruby

"But, is it alright for you to leave Bumblebee out?" Ruby asked

"Pssh, of course it is! Everyone knows what will happen if they mess with her!" Yang proclaimed "Besides, I'm planning to head out again. I just need to get my scroll from our dorm" She said as she followed Ruby inside

However just as the two huntresses-in-training, The baby creature popped out of the bushes, with a bit of pancake still hanging out of it's jaws. As it gobbled it up, the baby turned it's attention towards Bumblebee, Yang's motorcycle

It tilt its head sideways as it slowly approached the motorcycle, it leaned it's head forward as it went in to examine it. It's nose twitched as it caught two scents on the vehicle, something similar to sunflower and a rose. The baby continued to examine the motorcycle, circling it, even smelling it's tires

The Baby crept towards the back of the motorcycle, lowered it's head towards Bumblebee's exhaust and bumped his nose against it. The exhaust suddenly spewed a puff of black smoke, causing the baby to jump backwards, shake it's head as it licked it's claws and started to clean it's face, similar to how a cat would

The Baby then continued it's examination of the motorcycle, this time keeping it's distance. It suddenly stopped in front of Bumblebee and it approached the front, bumping it's snout against the handle, causing the motorcycles engine to roar. The sudden noise caused the baby to jump backwards as it snarled towards the motorcycle

Thinking that it was a threat, the Baby jumped in the air, it's claws out and started to attack the motorcycle, knocking it to the ground and continued it's assault

The baby started to bite down on the motorcycle, tearing pieces of metal off as it drove it's claws into Bumblebee's tires, popping them as the air sizzled out. The Baby then bit down on Yang's helmet and crushed it with it's jaws. Then, it drove it's jaws into Bumblebee's now-destroyed tire and tore off Bumblebee's front end

Next the baby bit down on it's exhaust pipes and tore it off, it then drove its claws into the motorcycles side, tearing it open, revealing it's combust dust reactor. The baby lunged it's head forward, and drove it's teeth into it's reactor, tearing it out and throwing it across the courtyard. The baby let out a roar in victory, but was cut short when something else caught it's eye.

It was a butterfly. It's body consisted of light colours, consisting of orange, yellow, white with a slight tinge of black. It had a round head with blue, oval-like eyes with two antennae on top. The butterfly flapped its wings up and down, as the baby's eyes began to follow it.

The butterfly began to fly lower and lower until it landed on the baby's snout. The baby twitched it snout and sneezed, making the butterfly take flight once more. The butterfly than flew off towards the forest and the baby followed pursuit

By the time it disappeared, Team CRDL had just turned around the corner. The four of them were laughing about what they always did during their spare time, harass Velvet, pulling on her ears and among other things

"I mean, I told you that they're real the first day!" Sky said

"What a freak!" Russel said

"Yeah! Why would the headmaster allow animals like her into the s-" Cardin tried to say, but cut himself off when he suddenly tripped over something. As he got up he whipped his head towards the ground, where he saw the back end of a motorcycle

Cardin picked it up "What the-!? Where did this come from!?" He said as he started to look around the area, only to see the remains of Bumblebee

"Whoa" Sky said in a surprised tone "Isn't that...the blonde bimbo's ride?"

CDR_ nodded

"Looks like a Beowulf got to it" Dove said

Cardin scoffed "Serves her right for leaving it out like this" He said as he picked up Bumblebees front tire

.

"Uh...guys!" Russel said

"Is it just me...or is it getting hot out here?" Dove asked

Cardin wiped his brow "Yeah...can one of you get me a water or something?"

"Uh...guys" Russel repeated

"Why can't you?" Sky asked

"Because I'm the leader!" Cardin

"Uh...guys!" Russel repeated once more

"WHAT?!" C_DL Shouted in unison

But as the remaining members of Team CRDL turned around...they were met face-to-face with an very, very angry Yang, her eyes were red, as her hair began to burn

"You..." Yang trembled

"Waitwedidntdoanyt-" CRDL tried to say

"YOU BASTARDS!" Yang shouted, using her Ember Celica to propel herself forward, reeling her fist back as Team CRDL was engulfed in a Pissed-Yang styled explosion as she started pummelling the soul out of Team CRDL. However unknown to her, Cardin had snuck away while she was beating his teammates

Cardin ran for his life as he turned the corner and hid behind the wall. His heart beating faster than a drum as he hid from the now pissed blonde brawler. His heart rate was getting faster with each shot he heard, until he heard that Yang was near him

"NO GOD IS GONNA BE ABLE TO PIECE YOU BACK TOGETHER ONCE I GET MY HANDS ON YOU!" Yang shouted as she continued her search for Cardin

Yang's Ember Celica shots got quieter and muffled with each shot, suggesting that she was going in the opposite directon as Cardin. He then peaked his head around the corner slowly and saw that the blonde brawler was gone. Cardin could only let out a sigh of relief, narrowly avoiding his near death experience. Cardin then smirked as he began to walk back towards his dorm...only for something to trample over him, driving his face to the pavement below, knocking him unconscious.

Above Cardin was Baby who was still chasing the same butterfly as before. It jumped in the air and brought it's claws out, trying to catch the little bug but missed and fell chin first onto the ground. The baby shook it's head as the butterfly landed on the baby's snout once more.

The baby then playfully snapped at the butterfly which took off once more, causing the baby to continue it's chase , leading it to the western part of the campus

Cardin was now regaining conscious, as he picked himself off of the ground, rubbing his head "Ow! What the hell hit me!?"

*BANG*

Cardin's train of thought was cut off when he heard a sudden bang. He slowly turned his head around to see Yang, her eyes were a bloodshot red as her hair was surrounded by violent flames. Yang propelled herself forwards once more as Cardin braced himself and let out a scream that echoed throughout the campus, scaring a few flock of birds

"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!"

(Meanwhile)

"D-Did...Baby do this?" Chris asked himself, looking at the beaten down members of Team CRDL, and the remains of Bumblebee

But suddenly his train of thought was cut off by the sound of a familiar gun shot. He saw a figure crawl around the corner, revealing it to be Cardin whose front teeth were missing, had a black eye and has a few bruises

"Help...me...please" Cardin pleaded, but suddenly he was pulled back around the corner "NOOOOOOOOOOO!-"

After a few seconds of more gunshots and...pounding. Yang walked from around the corner, brushing her hands off, but her eyes were still red and was breathing heavily

"Nope...someone even more scarier" Chris muttered

Yang noticed the lone shifter "Oh...hey Chris"

"Hey...Yang" Chris said

.

.

.

"Do...I even want to ask what happened here?" Chris asked

"Just some payback" Yang said

Chris was about to correct Yang, saying that it was Baby that did this. Then again...she would probably beat his ass too, considering it was his, Jeffery's and Alice's responsibility to watch over the Baby

"Well...good for you" Chris said "Are you...good now?

"Not even close" Yang said, then suddenly sighed "Do...you know where Jeffery is?"

"Why...?" Chris asked

"So that way, he can fix my bike" Yang said

"Oh...well...he's-we're busy at the moment" Chris said

"With what?" Yang asked sternly

"We're...looking for something" Chris said

"What is it?" Yang asked

"Uh...my...dog" Chris said

"You...have a dog?" Yang asked

"Yeah, we just got him today" Chris said

"Huh, we should probably introduce him to Zwei" Yang said

"Zwei?" Chris asked in faked arrogance

"He's our dog. A corgi" Yang said

"Probably not the best idea because our dog may eat hers" Chris muttered

"What was that?" Yang asked

"Nothing, just talking to myself" Chris said

"You do that a lot lately" Yang said

(My POV)

('She's right')

'Only because I've been talking to you!' I screamed

"Is something on your mind?" Yang asked

"Eh...kind of" I said

"Do you...need help looking for it?" Yang asked

"Nah, we're good...I'll...just call Jeffery for you" I said as I pulled out my scroll and dialled Jeffery's number

"Did you find it?" Jeffery asked

"No...but there is a much more...serious problem" I said

Jeffery sighed "What kind of problem?"

"Baby may have...gotten to Yang's bike" I whispered

.

.

"...Oh shit" Jeffery said

"Yeah, thankfully Team CRDL got blamed, and not us" I said

Jeffery sighed in relief "Better them than us. But why are you calling?"

"I need to ask a favour of you" I said "I need you to...fix her bike"

"I fix computers, I'm not a mechanic" Jeffery deadpanned

"I know, I know. But you know how to repair things right? Besides HiKame can help you...can you at least give it a try?" I asked

.

.

"Alright, but you owe me!" Jeffery said

"Thanks" I said before hanging up, and put my thumbs up, signalling Yang that he's up for it

"Thanks" Yang said, calming down a little

"No problem. But...what are we going to do with them" I said, referring to the unconscious members of Team CRDL

Yang shrugged "Just leave them. Can you help me pick up Bumblebee?"

"You mean what's left of her" I corrected, causing Yang to whip her head, her eyes flashing between lilac and red

I put my hands up "Okay, okay! Bad joke!"

Yang nodded as we walked towards the remains of Bumblebee and picked up every piece, including the ones that didn't look important

Beacon Dormitories (3rd Person POV)

Ruby was currently in her dorm, sitting at her desk with a cloth and some polish, using both of them to polish her weapon "Crescent Rose", a retractable scythe that can also turn into a sniper rifle

As Ruby brushed the cloth against her weapon, all the dirt, grime and other kind of stains were immediately brushed away, much to the young girls delight as she smiled with glee

"There you go, much better! Isn't that right?' Ruby muttered

"Are you having your weird fantasies again, Ruby?" A voice asked

Ruby turned around to see Weiss, who had a disappointed look

"Oh, hey Weiss!" Ruby said, but then noticed her look "Are you alright? Did I do something wrong?"

Weiss sighed "No..."

"Then, what's wrong?" Ruby asked

"I left my assignment on my desk in Professor oobleck's classroom. But when I came back, it was gone!" Weiss said in an irritated tone

"Maybe Professor Oobleck collected it!" Ruby suggested

"That's what I thought too! Until he told me that it wasn't here. And now he's going to take ten percent of my grade for each day it isn't turned in!" Weiss said in an angry tone

"Don't worry, Weiss! It's a first for everyone!" Ruby said

"But that's the thing! I'm a Schnee, I strive to be perfect..." Weiss trailed off

"Weiss, no one is perfect" A voice said

Ruby and Weiss turned to see Blake "Oh, hey Blake"

"Hey" Blake said

"Oh! That reminds me, can you two help me with something quickly?" Ruby asked

"What what?" Weiss asked

"I...may have bought too many items for our new outfits" Ruby said sheepishly

Weiss sighed "Of course you did. Where did you leave them?"

"Uhhhh..."Ruby trailed off

"You forgot, didn't you?" Weiss asked

"No it's uhhhh...OVER THERE!" Ruby shouted as she zoomed out of her dorm

.

.

.

"Come on, let's make sure she doesn't...do a Ruby thing" Weiss said, as she and Blake walked out of the dorm.

However, as Blake walked out, she brushed her hand across the desk, knocking a pencil over into the door rim, preventing the door from closing fully, which went fully unnoticed by Blake, who had other things on her mind

After a few moments, the door slowly opened, allowing Baby to walk into Team RWBY's dorm room. As before, it took in it's new surroundings by smelling the beds, desk, and even the chairs. At one point, it even caught the scent of a cat. As it continued to look around, it eyes laid upon a big jar full of cookies, presumably for Ruby

However, it was full from the coffee and pancakes it previously ate, so it wasn't that hungry and ignored the jar entirely. As it continued to move around the room, it tail was constantly knocking things over, Blakes book collection and Weiss' painting of Forever fall was knocked over

As it continued to look around the room, there was a sudden glimmer in it's eye, slightly blinding the baby who shook it's head in confusion. The Baby traced the source of the glimmer to a strange red item, Ruby's Crescent Rose

It tilt it's head and it smelled the weapon, eventually picking it up in it's jaws and running out of Team RWBY's dorm, it's tail brushing up against the door, closing it. However as it ran, it earned a few small screams from a few pedestrians

By the time the Baby turned the corner, Ruby, Weiss, and Blake had made it back, where they saw a couple of students with their back against the wall

"Huh...I wonder what happened with them?" Ruby asked

Blake shrugged

As the three huntresses-in-training approaching their dorm, Ruby took out her scroll and unlocked her dorm. But as they opened it, they were shocked at the slight mess that was inside

"Uh...?" Ruby questioned

"How did...?" Weiss trailed off

Blake immediately froze

Weiss looked towards her painting "It must've fallen off

"Hey! Crescent Rose is gone!" Ruby screamed

Weiss sighed "Are you sure you didn't misplace it as you got back?"

"NO!" Ruby shouted, catching everyone off guard "I left it right here! Did someone Steal it!? Maybe it grew legs and it-" Ruby tried to say

Weiss cut her off "Ruby...I'm pretty sure you just misplaced it. What do you think Bl-" Weiss tried to say, but was cut off when Blake was crouching on her bed, almost as if she was terrified of something "Blake...are you alright?"

"S-something was...i-in here" Blake sputtered, surprising Weiss and Ruby

"What do you mean?" Ruby asked

"S-something was i-in here!" Blake slightly shouted "I-it's exactly w-what I'm t-talking about!"

"How do you know?" Weiss asked "...Oh"

"Well whatever it was, it took my baby!" Ruby shouted

"Ruby...what could someone possibly do with your weapon?" Weiss asked

.

"Horrible...horrible things" Ruby muttered

Weiss sighed "Come on, I'll help you look for it"

Ruby zoomed up to Weiss "Thanks, Weiss!" She shouted as she zoomed out of the dorm

.

"What am I going to do with her?" Weiss asked "Are you gonna be okay Blake?"

"I'm f-fine!" Blake stuttered

"Okay...but I'm not talking about that. When we find...Crescent Rose, we'll all have a talk...alright?"

.

.

Blake nodded

Weiss smiled "Good" She said as she walked out of the dorm room and closed the door

(Timeskip)

As the heiress walked around Beacon, looking for her energetic leader, she accidentally bumped into Jaune with the rest of Team JNPR

"Sorry..." Pyrrha apologized

"No, it's fine. I should've watched where I was going" Weiss said

"Oh, hey Weiss" Jaune said

Weiss sighed "Hello Jaune"

"Can I...tell you something?" Jaune asked

"What is it Jaune?" Weiss asked

"It's a surprise" Jaune said

"Jaune listen...I've had it with surprises for this semester. First we find out that our friends can turn into giant monsters, then it was my assignment score, and finally Blake is a Faunus!" Weiss sputtered out

"Blake...is a Faunus?" Jaune asked

Weiss went wide-eyed at what she had just said. Thankfully however, it was only her and Team JNPR in the hallways

"What-no-what-do-you-mean-"Weiss stumbled

"But you just said-" Jaune tried to say

Weiss sighed as she cut him off "Okay, okay! Blake is a Faunus, but...it's a secret. You can keep a secret...right?"

Ren nodded, as Nora made a closed-zipper motion, as she threw away an imaginary key

"Your secret is safe with us" Pyrrha reassured

Weiss sighed in relief "Thank you...I'm trusting you with this. Especially you Jaune, I'm trusting you to keep this quiet" Weiss said

"D-Don't worry! I won't say a peep of what happened tonight!" Jaune proclaimed

"You better" Weiss said

"Uh, Jaune...where's your sword?" Pyrrha asked

Jaune's eyes slightly widened as he whipped his head, where his weapon was supposed to be. He sighed "I...may have left it in the auditorium"

Pyrrha giggled "Well, we can't train if you don't have it"

"...I'll go get it" Jaune said as he ran back towards the auditorium

"So...what have you three been up to?" Weiss asked

"Nothing interesting, really" Pyrrha said

But as Weiss was about to resond, she noticed the gloomy look on Nora's face, which never happened before

"Uh...what's with her?" Weiss asked

"Nora ate all the pancakes I made. And now I won't make anymore until tomorrow" Ren said

"I didn't eat them! How many times do I have to tell you!?" Nora asked

"Actually...I have a hard time believing that" Weiss said

"AAAAHHHHHHHHH!"

A scream that echoed throughout the hallway caught the attention of everyone in the hallway. Pyrrha's heart dropped as she ran towards the source of the scream "Jaune!?"

(Meanwhile) Auditorium (3rd Person POV)

It was the cold of night, as Jaune was making his way towards the auditorium where he forgot Crocea Mors, his sword and shield.

However as Jaune made his way towards the auditorium, he couldn't shake the feeling that was being...watched, but by what?

Cardin?...no, from what he heard from the others, he's horrible at stealth. But as a precaution, he would occasionally look over his shoulder...just in case

After a few minutes of walking, he had finally made his way to the auditorium's massive doors, almost similar to that you'd find outside of a castle

Jaune walked up to the door and began to push it, opening it while also making a loud creaking noise that echoed throughout the empty hallways. Jaune cringed at the noise as he got inside of the auditorium.

As he walked in, the room was dark and empty, the only thing that was lighting the room was the moon's light, illuminating various objects consisting of a mop bucket, beaches, even part of the stage was illuminated and as luck would have it, his sword was laying down on one of the benches

Jaune sighed in relief as he walked over, and grabbed Crocea Mors. But as he grabbed his weapon, he heard a sudden noise that startled him, causing him to whip his head around to see that a mop had fallen over

"Uh...hello...anyone there?" Jaune asked nervously, but there was nothing

Jaune shrugged it off as it being the wind as he walked towards the door, only for it to be slammed shut by something, causing him to jump "Uh guys...this isn't funny!" Jaune shouted

As Jaune said that, he heard the sound of...tapping all around him. He whipped his head around to see if he could find the source of the tapping. But whatever it was, it was getting closer with every sound

He turned his back towards a nearby door, where it led to was unknown, but it would be better than being in here with...something. He then started to slowly backpedal all the while shaking in fear. The sound of tapping only got closer and closer before he finally backed into the door. Jaune quickly grabbed the handle...only for the door to be locked

Jaune quickly turned around and startled to wrestle with the lock, pushing and pulling it up and down. Panicked, he then placed his foot on the wall and began to pull on the door itself, attempting to get it open

*SNORT*

Jaune suddenly froze at the sudden noise. She slowly began turning around, his pupils dilating as he was now face to face with a pair of giant, amber-coloured eyes staring down at him

So, he did what any man would do in that situation...

"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!

Jaune let out a loud, girly screech at the top of his lungs that echoed throughout the auditorium and the rest of the school, before darkness took a hold of him, causing him to faint and fall backwards with a loud thud

Whatever was stalking Jaune walked out of the shadows and started to sniff him. In front of the now-unconscious Jaune was Baby, Who had Crescent Rose in it's jaws. It tilt it's head sideways like a dog, implying it was confused

Sounds of footsteps echoed throughout the hall way, causing the young reptile to turn towards it. After a few moments, Jeffery and Chris ran out of the darkness towards the baby

"Was that a girl!?" Chris asked

"No...it's just Jaune" Jeffery said "Guy can't catch a break can he?"

"I honestly feel bad for the poor guy" Chris said "And...why does he have Ruby's weapon?"

Jeffery shrugged "Back to Jaune...should we...carry him to his dorm?"

"Jaune!?" Another voice shouted, catching the attention of everyone. After a few seconds, Pyrrha came running towards the hallway "Are you okay!? What ha-" She tried to say, but cut herself off at the sight of Chris, Jeffery and Baby, standing over the unconscious Jaune

"It's not what it looks like!" Chris defended

"He just fell unconscious here!" Jeffery defended

"It's alright!" Pyrrha reassured "I believe both of you. I know you two wouldn't do something like this. But...who or what is that?" Pyrrha asked, referring to the Baby behind her

"Who, this?" Chris asked "His name is Baby" He said, as the baby brought one of his claws up in a "hello" gesture

"Baby?" Pyrrha questioned

"Not my idea" Chris defended "But it fits and we just went with it"

Pyrrha then walked towards the baby. Baby then titled his head once more in confusion until Pyrrha was face-to-face with it.

"Uh...what are you doing?" Jeffery asked

Pyrrha extended her hand towards the baby's snout. The baby slowly moved it's head towards Pyrrha's palm and sniffed it. After a few moments Pyrrha, placed her hand on the baby's snout and used her other free arm and placed it under the baby's chin

The baby began to purr, similar to a cats and brushed Pyrrha's hand

Pyrrha giggled "Well, he seems friendly" She said as she stroked the baby's snout, much to the young one's delight

"Well he certainly likes you" Chris said

"I hear from Weiss that you were looking for your dog...is this your-" Pyrrha tried to say

Jeffery cut her off "Yep. This is our...dog. A big...scaley...dog"

"And it looks like it has been causing trouble around Beacon all day" Chris said, as he pulled out his scroll "I'm gonna call Alice, to let her know that we found Baby"

Jeffery nodded as Chris started to text Alice

"We found Baby. Baby is in the auditorium, head back to the dorms" Chris texted as he put his scroll back in his pocket

"So...do you three know what you're going to do with him...it's a boy, right?" Pyrrha asked

"I'm not sure" Jeffery said, as he tried to get Crescent Rose from out of it's mouth

Jeffery sighed "Hey Chris, can you help me out here?"

"Uh...what do you want me to do?" Chris asked

"You had a dog, right? Tell it to drop the ball or something!" Jeffery said

"This isn't a dog!" Chris said "...But...I think I do have an idea. It's an old trick I taught my dogs, but I'm not sure it will work"

"Please hurry" Jeffery said, trying to pull Crescent Rose form it's jaws. But to the baby, it looked like Jeffery was playing tug-o-war with him

"But, Jeffery...I need you to let go" Chris said

Jeffery nodded as he suddenly let go, causing him to stumble backwards, gaining a chuckle from Chris and Pyrrha

Chris turned towards the Baby who was currently staring at the three hunters-in-training

"All right, let's see if this works" Chris muttered as he brought his arm up, his hand mimicking that of a mouth and began to move it up and down "Op..en...wide!" He said, as he opened his palm

"Op..en...wide!" Chris repeated, with the same gestures, this time the baby was mimicking the hands movements, with the exception of the baby opening its jaws

"Op..en...wide!" Chris repeated once more, moving his hand up and down, then opening his palm. The baby mimicked the movements of his hand, and opened it's jaws, allowing Crescent Rose to fall out of it's mouth, making a metallic thud as the scythe hit the ground

Chris turned to Jeffery and Pyrrha, both of which had stunned expressions "Am I the reptile whisperer or not!"

"What did you just do?" Jeffery asked

"I call it...the Open Wide technique!" Chris said "I used to have two German Shepard's who wouldn't let go of the ball. So one day I did a few hand motions, and the dog was mimicking the movements of my hand. I then opened my palm and he dropped the ball"

"Wow" Jeffery said "Anyways...what are we going to do with-" Jeffery tried to say

Jeffery was suddenly cut off by the sound of groaning, catching everyones attention. Everyone turned around to see Jaune slowly getting off of the ground, shook his head and stared a the three hunters-in-training, who were staring at him

"Uh...hey guys" Jaune said

"Hey, Jaune" Chris greeted "You alright?"

"Yeah...I just had the strangest dream. I was getting my weapon, and all of a sudden-GAH!" Jaune tried to say, but was cut off when he noticed Baby behind the group of hunters

"Whoa! Calm down Jaune!" Chris reassured "He's with us...at least I think he's a he"

"You mean...he's not going to eat me?" Jaune asked

"No he's not going to eat you" Chris said "He's just curious"

Baby started to circle Jaune, who froze in place as the Baby started to examine him. After a few moments, the Baby backed off, causing Jaune to sigh in relief.

"Anyways, now we got this under control...what do we do with Baby here?" Jeffery asked

"There's a small shed located at the far side of the school" Pyrrha said "Maybe he can sleep in there?"

"I guess that can work, besides, it's actually pretty close to our dorm" Chris said "So, if anything is up, we can just...jump out the window or something. So...I'll go over there and put the little guy to sleep. Jeffery, can you give Crescent Rose back to Ruby?"

"Uh...what do I say? Because it will look like I broke into their room...and I would appreciate if I didn't die a second time" Jeffery said

"Die...a second time?" Pyrrha questioned

"It's a nod to an old video game" Chris played off "Just say that you found it in the auditorium, laying around"

Jeffery nodded as he began to walk away with Crescent Rose in tow

"Anyways...I should probably get Baby to that shed you mentioned" Chris said

(Timeskip)

It was currently night time. Jeffery had returned Crescent Rose to it's rightful owner...and almost being pummelled by YAng, who thought that he broke into their room

But thankfully because of his "dog" story, everyone believe him when he mentioned about looking for some sort of dog that was loose throughout the entire school. And in ub and Yang's eyes, that made sense, seeing how Blake didn't move from her bunk bed, and how Ruby and Yang's dog did the same thing so many times

Jeffery was currently flying across Beacon. Whenever some asks him how he actually flies, he simply shrugs and says that it's his semblance. As for the plasma he produces, he says that it's fire dust

As Jeffery flew in the air, his eyes laid upon Jaune and Pyrrha who were currently sparring. Curious he flew over, slightly spooking Jaune while gaining a slightly surprised look from Pyrrha

"Hey guys" Jeffery said catching their attention "You guys train up here too?"

"Yes, it's something we do after classes" Pyrrha said "Are we intruding on your training grounds?"

"Not at all, my training grounds are up here" Jeffery said, while hovering "Although you're more than welcome to train up here too if you like"

Pyrrha giggled "I'll keep that in mind"

"Anyways, have either of you seen Chris?" Jeffery asked

"You mean...he isn't with you?" Pyrrha asked "Did you check by the shed I mentioned?"

"Uh...no" Jeffery said, disappointed in himself "Now I feel stupid"

Pyrrha giggled "It's alright, things like this can slip from someones mind"

"Thanks guys" Jeffery said as he flew off.

After a few moments of flying, Jeffery had found the shed that Pyrrha had mentioned. As Jeffery landed, he approached the shed and opened the door. What he saw, slightly surprised him

He saw Chris and the Baby asleep. Baby was curled up like a cat, it's head resting on Chris' lap. As for Chris, he was laying against the baby's side, almost like a pillow, and one of his hands was on the baby's head

"I'm not gonna lie...that has to be the sweetest thing I've ever fucking seen" Jeffery said, as he pulled out his scroll, took a picture, and closed the door behind him

(Timeskip) Team RWBY Dorm

"You...saw a ghost?" Ruby asked

"Yes..." Weiss said in a slightly scared tone "Earlier on my way back from training...at the top of the stairs to my room...there was a bloody ghost!"

(Flashback)

As Weiss was walking up the stairs back to her dorm...she suddenly froze at the appearance of a figure, drenched in black, blood flowing from its mouth letting a violent gurgle

"Urgh... ...Urgh"

This caused the heiress to scream in terror as she ran towards another stairwell. But before she was about to turn the corner, she saw another, larger ghost in front of her, causing her to scream once more and ran towards a third stairwell

(Present Day)

"Have you been reading weird books again, Weiss?" Yang asked

"Yang! Don't be ridiculous!" Weiss shouted "The only thing I was reading was Blake's diary!"

The sudden outburst made Blake drop her book, and stared wide eyed "What?" She said as she suddenly lunged towards Weiss

"What are you doing!?" Weiss screamed

While Blake and Weiss were fighting, Ruby was pondering her thoughts "Hmmm...I hope...Weiss mistook it for something else" She said, she suddenly clenched her fist "All right...LET'S ALL GO CHECK IT OUT!"

"YEAH!" Yang and Blake shouted in unison

"WE'RE GOING RIGHT NOW!?" Weiss shouted

But before they were going to leave, they heard a loud bang from their wall

"KEEP IT DOWN IN THERE! SOME OF US ARE TRYING TO SLEEP!" A voice shouted

"UH...SORRY!" Ruby shouted

(3rd Person POV)

Weiss then lead her teammates towards the stairwell where she saw the supposed ghost

"There...it was! Right there! That's where I saw it!" Weiss said, slightly trembling

"There's nothing there" Blake said

"Did it run away?" Yang asked

Yang stared to laugh "Are you sure it wasn't Dr. Oobleck walking by?" Yang asked

"What does that say about him...?" Blake asked

Ruby walked up to Weiss, stars in her eyes with determination "Don't worry, Weiss. I, the leader, will protect all of you!"

"I feel so safe already..." Weiss muttered sarcastically

"But theres nothing here...maybe it was something else..." Blake said

"ABSOLUTELY NOT! I EVEN HEARD ITS VOICE..." Weiss shouted

"Urgh... ...Urgh"

"Yes! It sounded like..." Weiss trailed off, as she saw the scared expressions on her teammates, causing her to turn around to see the ghost behind her "...that"

The sudden appearance of the ghost made everyone present to scream "IT'S HERE!"

Ruby quickly used her semblance and used herself as a human shield "I-I'LL PROTECT YOU!"

"RUBY?!" WBY shouted, as the ghost reached towards Ruby

"HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!" A voice shouted

The team of girls looked up to see Ren, running down the hall towards them

Suddenly the ghost collapsed, but before it could hit the ground, Ren caught it. The moons light revealing the ghost to be...Nora

"WHAT?! THE GHOST WAS NORA SLEEPWALKING!?" Team RWBY shouted in unison

"Yes...I'm very sorry" Ren apologized

"What about the blood, though...?" Weiss asked

Ren sighed "That's just syrup. She must've stolen some again..."

As Ren was still holding Nora, she was mumbling as a snot bubble began to form

"C'mon, Nora. Let's go back" Ren said as she carried the sleeping Nora, who was still muttering in her sleep

.

"I knew it wasn't a ghost..." Yang said

"Right. Yeah, of course. Obviously not a ghost" Weiss said

"But Yang, you were screaming really loud too" Blake said

.

.

Eventually Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang broke down in laughter, even after thw whole experience, they weren't angry, they were...relieved, happy even

"I can't believed I screamed" Yang said

"But Weiss was the most scared" Ruby said

"Shut up, Ruby!" Weiss said

"C'mon, let's go back to bed. We have an early morning..." Blake said "Wait...you said that you saw two ghosts, right?"

"I did" Weiss said

"Then...who's the second?" Blake asked

.

.

.

"We...should probably head back to our dorm" Weiss said, slightly startled

The rest of Team RWBY nodded as they carefully made their way back toward their dorm

(Next Day) (3rd Person POV)

"R-Ruby!" Jaune yelled "I-I saw something on the stairs last night...it was four laughing ghosts!"

"Oh..." Ruby said

"What's this about a ghost?" Jeffery asked

"Oh, Weiss claimed that she saw two ghost last night...turns out it was Nora sleepwalking" ruby said

"Two? Then who's the two?" Alice asked

"...We actually never figured that one out" Ruby deadpanned, causing Jaune to freeze"Wait...where's Chris?" Ruby asked

"He's outside, playing with his...dog" Jeffery said

Ruby zoomed up to jeffery "A dog!? Letmeseeletmeseeletmesee!"

"Alright! Alright! But just to warn you, it's a very very big dog" Jeffery warned

Ruby gasped "He's gonna be so fluffy!" RUby cheered

Jeffery nervously laughed "Yeah..."fluffy""

"So where is it!?" Ruby asked, in an excited tone

"It's...by the...shed...by our-" Jeffery tried to say, but was cut off when Ruby zoomed away "...Does everyone in this school know where the shed is!?" Jeffery asked in surprised, as he and Alice followed pursuit

After a few minutes of running, Jeffery and Alice turned the corner outside, to see Ruby zooming towards the shed, before circling it. After a few seconds she suddenly stopped "Huh...where is it?" Ruby asked

"It's inside the shed" Jeffery said, causing Ruby to look around

"Uh...why is it in there?" Ruby asked

"It...has...too...use the bathroom!" Jeffery proclaimed

"But...why inside of the shed?" Ruby asked

Jeffery sighed in defeat "Ruby...can you promise me something?"

"Promise you what?" Ruby asked

"Do. Not. Freak. Out" Jeffery said sternly

"Why would I freak out?" ruby asked

"Just watch" Jeffery said, as he slowly opened the door.

Ruby gasped at the sight, what she saw was Chris sleeping on the side of a giant creature, with the creature head on his lap

"Ruby...say hello to Baby, our...dog" Jeffery said

"That...isn't a do-oh!" Ruby said in realization

"Yep. Two students saw him, but I managed to convince them it was just a guy in a costume" Jeffery said

"He's been causing a bit of trouble across Beacon" Alice said in an embarrassed tone

.

"WAIT SO HE'S THE ONE WHO-" Ruby tried to say

Jeffery cut her off "Not so loud! And yes, he's the one who took Crescent Rose...and did other things"

"Like what?" A voice asked

Jeffery, Alice and Ruby turned to see Blake, Yang, Weiss, Ren and Nora standing behind them

"Oh...heh heh...hey guys" Jeffery said in a nervous tone

"So this is your "dog"." Weiss said, putting quotations around dog

"Yep" Jeffery asked, still nervous

"Does he like pancakes!? Can he break legs!?" Nora shouted

"I think so" Alice said

.

Yang sighed "Why didn't you three tell us you were looking for a giant reptile?"

"I...guess it would freak people out" Jeffery admitted "But, at least we found him. Wait...what are you guys even doing out here?"

"We got curious" Weiss said

Yang stepped forward "That, and also I need help repairing my bike"

"Yeah, I'll be right over" Jeffery said "Just give me a few"

Yang nodded as she began to walk away, with the others following soon after. As they walked away, Jeffery and Alice heard a sligh groan coming from the shed. They turned their heads to see Chris waking upp

"Oh...hey guys. What are you doing out here?" Chris asked

"Looking for you" Jeffery said "Come on, it's almost breakfast" Jeffery said as he and Alice began to walk towards the cafeteria

"Wait!" Chris slightly shouted, catching both of their attention "Can I...talk to you guys for a moment?"

Jeffery and Alice looked at on another before turning bac around and headed back towards the shed. Chris carefully got up, moving the Baby's head onto the grass as he slowly closed the shed doors

"So...what did you want to talk about?" Jeffery asked

"It's about...what's been happening" Chris said

"What do you mean by that?" Alice asked

"Like, would any of this happened if we didn't show up here? Sometimes I wonder if us coming here might've done something" Chris said, slightly confusing Alice

"I don't know...I think things probably would be the same, if not just similar. But none of us knew that this would happen, but I guess something crazy was going to happen, I guess this is at that some point" Jeffery said

"How did you-" Chris tried to say

Jeffery cut him off "I've been practising my literature. Even started reading Shakespeare"

"That's...surprising" Chris said, shocked

Before Jeffery was able to respond, Alice stood up "Anyways...did...you sleep out here?"

Chris nodded "Yeah...it just feels nice once in a while to sleep outside under the stars"

Jeffery knew that as soon as he said that, he was lying. I guess he can call it a gut-feeling or some sort of sense.

"Hey, Chris" Jeffery said, catching his attention

"Yeah?" Chris asked

.

.

"Do...you miss home?" Jeffery asked

Chris was slightly surprised when he said that. Ever since both of them had arrived they haven't talked about home that often

I let out a sigh "I do...even though we don't know what's become of it...I greatly miss it" I said as I pulled out my phone, and started scrolling through it "And these guys, my brothers, my sister, and my mother...we were the craziest bunch I've ever known"

I then showed her an image I took while at the park with my family. Alice watched as flipped through his photos, each one telling a story. She had a smile on her face, but felt worried all the while

"Is that...the only thing you have left from your home?" Alice asked

"Yeah, besides me, Jeffery and my memories, this is it" Chris said, as he scrolled to his next photo which showed everyone...he didn't know why, but something hit him. "I just wish...I could've said goodbye..." Chris started to tear up with a smile on his face. Alice turned to him and immediately hugged him tightly.

Jeffery immediately joined in the mix as well. Chris hugged back, sobbing quietly as Aice rubbed his back, trying to sothe him. After a bit, he stopped crying, dried his tears and lets go of both of them

"Thank for that guys" Chris said

"Don't worry about it" Alice said, placing a hand on his shoulder "I'm here for you. You were there for me back in Mistral"

"Heh...That's right...I was..." Chris said

Jeffery's eyes widened 'She said I'm here for you!...does this mean...'

"I...love you" Alice said

But before Chris could ponder what she said, Alice lunged forward and smashed her lips against his. Chris's eyes widened in shock...eventually closing them, and melting in the warm embrace, this was something he hasn't felt in a long time.

The two then separated

"You...do?" Chris asked

"With all my heart. To think, I'd have a boyfriend, despite all that has happened to me. I didn't really need one. To be honest when I was little, I thought boys were gross and when the Gyaos attack, all I wanted to do...was run. But instead, you came into my life, you've made me the happiest person ever" Alice said, her face rivalling that of Pyrrha's hair

"Alice...I do feel the same way" Chris said, causing Alice to smirk

"But not right now" He said, causing Alice to frown

"W-What?" She asked

"It's not you. I do feel the same way. It's just...it's happening to soon" Chris said

"You mean...with Samantha? It coincides with the events when you found out?" Alice asked

Chris nodded "Yeah. Needless to say I'm not ready for another serious relationship. I need to get stronger as a person" Chris said, causing Alice to downcast slightly "But...at least your here trying to help" Chris said

Alice rose her head up as a feint smile crept up her face, a tear falling down her cheek. She eventually enveloped Chris in another hug who also returned one. Jeffery on the other hand, was witnessing the whole thing

"I'm...gonna step outside" Jeffery said

"But...we're already outside" Alice said

"Then...I'm gonna step inside" Jeffery said, as he walked back inside and closed the door

"YES! THAT WAS EMOTIONAL!" Jeffery shouted, through the hallways

Jeffery's outburst caused the two to chuckle slightly

"Hey...Alice?" Chris asked

"Yeah?" Alice asked

"Can I...tell you something?" Chris asked

Somewhere in the Ocean (3rd Person POV)

When some usually think of ocean, they think of the coral reefs, the beautiul fish and something...peaceful. The oceans of Remnant however, is not one of them

Sailors have to be cautius when crossing the ocean. Species of deep-water Grimm tend to attack vessels, claiming many lives. Ad with these new recent attacks, sailors have to hire extra Huntsman to protect their shipments

Rather than that, the oceans of Remnant are somewhat...peaceful, nothing worth a second look.

A Leviathan Grimm suddenly bursted out of the water, with a whale in it's jaws. It's clamped it's jaws up and down, eventually devouring the whale whole. It then let out a satisfied growl, but before it could dive back into the water...something caught it's eye, up in the sky

Above him were these strange strong clouds, spinning around in some sort of circle. Lighting flickered as something began to descend from the clouds, it was some sort of tornado. The Leviathan Grimm tilt it's head as the tornado suddenly struck the water, creating a massive water-sprout in the process.

But as the Leviathan Grim tried to dive, another tornado struck the water. Then another, then another, then another until it was completely surrounded by them. Lightning continued to flicker as the water-sprouts became bigger and bigger, creating hurricane force winds

Then suddenly...it ceased...the Leviathn Grimm was gone...and in it's place...was an island

And I have been playing a lot of Skyrim lately (BEST GAME OF ALL TIME! FIGHT ME!). And because of this, I'm going to write a Skyrim/RWBY crossover, mainly inspired from The Lone Dragonborn and A Lost Bloom In The Snow. However with my own certain twist, from the likes of mods that will make it a bit more..."Unique". But I probably won't start it until I finish Volume 6

Also the reason I'm stopping at Volume 6 is because I want to see how the rest of the "Atlas Arc" goes, just so that way I'm able to prepare a story board for that arc.

And I'm not sure if anyone noticed these easter eggs. But I had to go over the last fifteen chapters, to find every single reference, and quote that some of you may or may have not picked up. I will also be including some..."Behind the scenes" kind of thing

Chapter 1: New World, New Life

- The opening was inspired by the redemption scene from Godzilla: King Of The Monsters (2019)

- The vows are partially inspired in some forms of anime. Some include High School DxD, Green Lantern and even the Godzilla anime trilogy

- Humans turning into monsters is nothing new in the sci-fi genre. This idea was actually inspired by the Ultraman series where some protagonists and antagonists had to turn into giants

- The village of Tokio is an obvious play on the word "Tokyo"

- Zedus' personality and dialogue was based on multiple characters, preferabbly ones with an "insatiable hunger". From the likes of Carnage from Marvel, and Alien Adacic from the Ultraman anime adaptation

- "Hey, Yoshi!" That quote was added last minute, I couldn't help myself but comparing Zedus to Yoshi just because they're reptiles with prehensile tongues

- Zedus' death was partially inspired by T-Rex neck snap in Jurassic Park III

Chapter Two: Investigation

- "Well...I guess things could've been a lot worse if someone was wearing a yellow raincoat" Another nod to Jurassic Park

Chapter Three: Friends and Foes

- Jinshin Mushi's death was inspired by Iris' death in Gamera 3: Revenge of Iris

- Jeffery's backstory was inspired by Eren's moms death in Attack on Titan. His personality is slightly based on hot headed and laid back characters like Bakugo from My Hero Academia, Ryuji from Persona 5, and Randy from Godzilla: The Animated Series (1998)

- Even Jeffery and Weiss's relationship (not that kind of relationship) Is similar to Randy and Dr. Kraven's from Godzilla: The Animated Series. Considering how Randy always pokes fun at Dr. Kraven. They're basically frenemies.

Chapter Four: Best Day Ever and Arrival

- Invasion Of The Brain Snatchers is an obvious nod to all the cheap, alien films that I grew up with. Such as Mars Attacks, and of course other Godzilla films

- The Sea Feilong's death was inspired when Godzilla tore one of King Ghidorah's heads off in Godzilla: King Of The Monsters (2019)

- The winning numbers "1975" is the year Terror of Mechagodzilla was released, which also happens to be my favourite Godzilla movie of all time

- The fights is highly based on the fight between Gipsy Danger, Otachi, and Leatherback which also includes their deaths

- The ( ? POV) scene was inspired by Optimus Prime vs Bonecrusher from Transformers (2007)

Chapter Five: First Day

- Jeffery's weapon was inspired by Captain America's shield and Vibranium gauntlets from Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

- The reason for these small scuffles is because I don't want the fights to be the main focus of the chapter. I worry that the long fights may overshadow parts of the story

Chapter Seven: Lifelight

- Alice's backstory was inspird by the Gamera (2016) teaser from Comic Con

- Her personality is based on shy characters like Futaba from Persona 5

- The ending was inspired by the opening of Justice League: Throne of Atlantis

Chapter Eight: A Simple Mission

- The introduction of the Skullcrawler, along with the Taijitu Hydra was inspired by the T-Rex vs Allosaurus in Land of the Lost

Chapter Nine: A Day In Vale

- There is a little nod to what I'll be writing after the events of Volume 2

- Gamera mentioning fixing an alien spaceship is a nod to one of the older, Showa Gamera movies (I forgot which one)

Chapter Twelve: A Place To Call Home

- Jason is partially inspired by Kabal from the Mortal Kombat series

- The Mechagodzilla design used was the one from Ready Player One. I wanted to used an incarnation that is deadly in close quarters combat, and long range. And the reason I intorduced Mechagodzilla so early was for the introduction of other Mechs with Kiryu showing up really soon

- Originally C-Rex was supposed to appear instead of Mechagodzilla. However during that time, I had just finished watching Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla (1974). So I just had to include him. Not only that, I wanted to show the difference between natural monsters and unnatural monsters such as aliens and mechs

- Jaune had to climb up Chris/Godzilla's back and drove a sword into his hide. That part was inspired by the lighting sword scene in Ebirah: Horror of the Deep (Idea By: godzillahero3)

- The ending of this chapter is one of my favourites as it really adds really good emotional turmoil

Chapter Fifteen: Mother's Quarrel

- Half of the chapter was inspired by my favourite episode in Godzilla: The Animated Series (1998), titled "Deadloch"

- Jeffery's fire tornado attack was inspired by a move from Digimon

- "You mean the thing when they change. There's a word for it...turned into something else like a caterpillar...but I highly doubt that they turn into butterflies"A slight nod to Tremors 2: Aftershocks, that quote came from Earl Basset when finding the dead Graboid

- The head scientist has the same name as Dr Mafune from Terror of Mechagodzilla
