Phase 8: Channel 666 News

(At a crappy apartment, the Teenage Imp that hangs with Octavia was sitting at her window looking through a pair of binoculars. She was adamant until her door creaked open and Octavia appeared from the other side, she rushed to her friend as the conversation happened.)

Octavia:"I got your text Vi, what's so important?"

Vi:"Check this out, so less than 10 minutes ago, a big fight happened right near that Warehouse!"

Octavia:"Ok?"

Vi:"Guess who made a comeback for round two against more mutant looking freaks?"

Octavia:"Nice, so why is this important though? Couldn't you have just shown me a video later?"

Vi:"Because when I looked around to see if any more of those big guys'd show up…Look!"

(Vi gestures Octavia to use her window Binoculars, as she stares through them, she sees a window with an old man, she scoffed and claimed "What's so important about an old f-" she is silenced when the old man moves a set of curtains in his home and reveals a shrine made to our Marine Hero. She then stands up and looks at Vi as she states "Ok, I see why this got you curious, so you thinking about checking it out?" as Vi rushes to grab her jacket and corrects her friend "WE are going to check it out, I didn't want to do this without you!" as she applied her jacket, Octavia said in a joking manner "Aww, you do care." as the two head out.

Before they left though, Octavia made a comment about hearing something earlier "Hey, didn't you say you were on the news after the club fight?"

*Meanwhile, Back at the Hotel

Charlie was going over a checklist while Nifty was sweeping the floors, Husk was behind the Desk drinking as usual. Charlie was talking to herself as she went on and on "Alright, We got posters laid out, A Commercial shoot coming up, a nice mural for the lobby, All we need now is a banner to welcome the guests in the Lobby and a catchy Slogan!" Husk continued drinking as he turned on the News just as it began to air, and the following was reported by the station.

(Channel 666 news intro)

Katie:"Hello Denizens of Hell, I'm Katie Killjoy!"

Tom:"And I'm Tom Trench!"

Katie:"No one Cares Tom! Today there seems to be an unusually high casualty in the local prisons, dozens of inmates were reported to be brutally murdered and torture by an unknown assassin."

Tom:"Witnesses describe the man as a large muscular fellow wearing green armor, he possessed exceptionally heavy artillery and was strong enough to mangle the prison bars with his bare hands!"

(Charlie realizing the method and description of this violent attacker, mutters to herself "Oh no, please…This can't be…" as Nifty then said "Hey, doesn't your muscly friend have that painted on his helmet?" as she points to the TV.)

Katie:"Inside the cells of the mangled corpses, there seems to be a marking left behind in blood in the blood of the victims eviscerated by this unknown monster."

(The camera shows the markings on the wall to be the symbol of the Night Sentinels, a symbol that the Slayer dawns like all his former brethren. Charlie just groans "NO! Why!? Why would he…? This doesn't make any sense though." as she bowed her head, before her thoughts could ponder any further as to her thoughts as to why he would do such a thing, the door to the main Hotel swung open showing the team to have successfully returned from their mission, Charlie reacts by immediately reaching for the remote and changing the channel on the TV. She then asks the group how it all went.)

Charlie:"Heyyyy…How'd it go?"

Vega:"Successful!"

Cherri:"I got to hold a Nuke!"

Angel:"Sir pussious ran away like the wuss he is, so my day was good."

Loona:"Vegas upgraded my phone, so I'm happy."

Vega:"I am Vega, but yes! We all had an excellent time finding the nuke. More importantly, we found a Sentinel Battery. Our last dimensional jump was done by a Night Sentinel fortress that is of Maykr design, but due to lack of power cells, we jumped randomly across dimensions and landed here. With another Sentinel battery in our possession, we won't be as aimless next time."

Angel:"I'm a go get something to eat."

(As He heads for the next room with Cherri accompanying him.)

Millie:"We also got to kill a lot!"

Charlie:(Chuckles nervously)"Really?…Wow…"

Husk:"Yeah, we figured. We saw your work on the News-"

Charlie:"NEWWWWest post on the web that Loona made! Nice kill guys!"

Vega:"Is everything alright miss Charlotte? You seem nervous."

Charlie:"Yep, everything is A-OK and Spiffy! I uh…Just-"

(A Crash happens in the other room.)

"Have to go make sure that wasn't anything important, I'll be right back! Angel!?"

(As she rushed out of the building's Lobby and into the Dining Hall to deal with the audible issue. Husk then finished the conversation with them himself as he asked "So you guys went to prison huh?" as Vaggie walked down the stairs to see Blitzo give a confused look, Loona spoke and asked further.)

Loona:"Prison? The Fuck you talking about, we were at a warehouse?"

Husk:"Really, then who did this?"

(As Husk changed the channel back and showed them the report. The channel displayed the horrific images they described earlier, leaving Vaggie and the others confused. Blitzo then turned to the Slayer asking "Did you swing by the prison after we left?" and was answered when the Slayer shook his head. Vaggie seemed extremely confused, she rubs her chin as she mutters "This doesn't add up, what could've killed them if it wasn't you. I mean, I know it's NOT you but, granted there was a big chunk of time since the last time we met but…" the conversation was furthered when Vega commented his own thoughts "I do not know, but whoever it is, they bear the mark of the Night Sentinels. For all we know, this could be another Night Sentinel." Vaggie grew more curious as she continued with "I thought you said they were extinct?" To which Vega explained "Negative, The Night Sentinel's home dimension was consumed by Hell, however the Night Sentinels themselves should still be active and able to traverse dimensions." Loona then asked her own question "Any chance these Knight guys know Satanic magic?" The Slayer turns his attention to Loona and Vega beeped again to answer "Negative, they were barbaric but they were technologically advanced, they did not require mystics to do such a feat." Husk then shushed them as he pointed to the TV and the group turned their attention to the screen.)

Katie:"This just in, Today is a very interesting news report, apparently Hell has it's very own Super-Hero, who's seemingly unaware of where this Dumbass even is! Local witnesses describe him as a large Green soldier of unknown origin who has been seen by multiple eye witnesses but has yet to be recorded or photographed in any way."

Tom:"Awfully convenient! More from said witnesses."

Milf Imp:"He. Was. Amazing, he jumped into that river and saved my baby!…He also slaughtered this giant Cyborg thing but that's not as important as-."

Vi:"There I was about to be blasted by this giant thing with laser maces! And just as I was about to be turned into red mush, this green dude comes out of nowhere and catches it with his bare hands, he then beats that same douchebag to death with his OWN mace! It was fucking Awesome!"

Random terrified Imp:"He's Real! The Legends are true! All fear the Great Doom S-"

Tom:"There's even a-" (Gets head bashed against the desk by Katie.)

Katie:"There's even reports from a local anonymous tip that claims to personally know this "Hero". Here he is now!"

"Anonymous that looks too much like Blitzo":"Yeah, I know him. He's actually a really cool dude, he even told me about this great company of assassins called the immediate murder professionals, couldn't have found a better group of people to dispose of my problems."

(Everyone just looks at Blitzo who's smiling for an "unknown" reason.)

Blitzo:"…What?"

Vaggie:"Really?…"

Blitzo:"I don't know what the hell y'all are staring at me for? I don't know this guy!"

(Cuts back to the TV.)

"Anonymous":"He also told me about their awesome boss! He seems like a real chad, love the dude-" (Door opens to show Moxxi walking in.)

Moxxi:"Why the fuck is it so dark in here?"

"Anonymous"(Still maintaining the edited voice):"Moxxi, get out! I'm in the middle of recording something here!"

Moxxi:"Is that a camera?"

"Anonymous":"Yes, now get out!"

Moxxi:"Look, we need to leave in 5, Millie said the best place to get that Magnet thing has a tight window of entry and the Genocidal Green Giant doesn't peg me as the type to keep waiting."

"Anonymous":"Do you mean that DoomSlayer, the guy who left a GREAT review about the Immediate Murder Professionals!"

Moxxi:"What the Hell are you talking about? The guy doesn't even speak!"

"Anonymous":"You don't need to talk to leave a review Moxxi! Just ask Loona!"

(It then cuts back to the New anchors, Tom rubbing his head while Katie is reading her lines.)

Katie:"We now cut to Hell's very own Big Cheese to get his opinion on the whole matter."

(Charlie walks back in to see her father on TV and is being interviewed about the situation.)

Reporter:"Mr. Magne, sir! What are your thoughts on this mysterious green figure that's roaming the afterlife?"

Lucifer:"Let me tell you something friend, I've been running this place since it was built and I know all the secrets that go in and out of this prison we call home. I can assure you, there is NO such thing as a Green Super Man in Hell."

(The Doors to the Hotel then burst open as Lucifer walks through them shouting "There's my favorite Green Super Man, Back in Hell!" as he approaches the Slayer. He walked up and sized the Marine, fascinated by his overall changes since the last time they met, Lucifer smiled as he conversed with his Daughter.)

Lucifer:"Charmander, Why didn't you TELL me your thuggish friend was back?!"

Charlie:"I…I did Dad…I sent you and Mom several text messages telling you just that."

Lucifer:"Really!? I don't check phones, they're the work of the Devil, I should know!

Vaggie:"Actually, if you don't mind me asking, Mr. Magne. Where IS Lilith?"

Lucifer:"Oh she's having one of those days, you know what I mean?"

Loona:"A period?"

Lucifer:"No-no-no…Those things that people celebrate every so often that's special because it means you were made that day."

Vega:"A birthday?"

Lucifer:"Yes, A Burt-Day! Me being the eternal being that I am, have never had needs for such a trivial timed celebration…Anyways, how's my favorite Son that I never had doing? You need something from this place, big guy? Ah, We can talk about it over a nice Crab Rangoon, MY TREAT!"

Vaggie:"Actually sir, he's just passing through this dimension. He's actually trying to get back to his so he can save it from a bigger threat."

(Lucifer's cheery smile faded and he seemed…Disappointed by this discovery.)

Lucifer:"Oh…Well I'm sure we can find SOMETHING to help you, I'll have my best minds on this project, I know this meekish kid named Baxter, he'll get the job done no problem."

Charlie:"Actually dad…That also won't be necessary, we're building a portal to take him home thanks to Vega."

Lucifer:"I see…Wait, who's Vega?"

Vega:"I am Vega, I am an artificial intelligence created by Dr.-"

Lucifer:"LOVELY to meet you! Please, allow me to assume control of this little project my Devil Darling is managing."

Charlie:"But-"

Lucifer:"Nonsense Honey, I know PLENTY of people who can help with this little misadventure of yours!"

Vega:"Actually sir, we already possess 2 of the 3 required components to open the dimensional gate back to our intended spot, we even found something extra to aid us in our future attempts of Dimensional hopping."

(Lucifer just looked monotone and annoyed at this fact, as if he was eager to help out however he could.)

Lucifer:"…Wow…That's…Fantastic to hear…So that's a no on the Crab Rangoon then?"

Vega:"I am curious as to why you are so determined to spend time with the Slayer?"

Lucifer:"So that's what you go by now? I LOVE it! As for my reasons to enjoy the company of such a well-cultured individual, I guess you could say I've been a fan even before I knew who he even was! Why, I'll never forget the first time we met this fine young lad... At my massive Ball!"
