Forgotten
Chapter 16: Reunited...Sort of (Part I)
With the last ghost attack causing a HUGE amount of damage, school was let out for the day, but people were told to go straight home, due to many ghost attacks happening all day and no Danny Phantom to come and stop it.
Danny's parents and Valerie were currently the one's handling them, while Sam and Tucker tried to make Danny remember who he is and more important, about what he CAN do.
He still had some "slip ups" with his powers here and there but only with almost falling into the floor and body parts dissapearing. Thankfully, Tucker and Sam were there now to help him calm down and to keep anyone from finding out his secret.
That was the last thing they needed right now
Anyway, they soon arrived to Danny's house. It seems that there was an increase in ghost activity in town (no doubt, due to Johnny 13's big mouth), Danny's parents weren't home.
"Darn... they might've been able to help us since they'd know things about Danny that we don't..." She thought.
"I guess we'll make-do with what he have..." Tucker said as they brought Danny to the sofa.
Sam and Tucker were explaining their history and all they knew about their friend, including looking at some pictures from Sam's album.
"So my parents are ghost hunters?..." Danny asked
"Yep..." Sam said
"And I went into that thing?..." Danny said looking to the Fenton portal.
"Uh-huh..."Tucker said.
Danny looked towards the picture of the ghost portal. He had to admit that there was something familiar about.
"And... this was something I was hit with?..."He asked.
Sam nodded.
Yeah, the portal is what gave you your powers. Itl pretty much merged your DNA with ectoplasm from the Ghost Zone..."She explained.
"But why...how... what happened? What I even doing in there?..."Danny asked.
Sam answered.
"You see, a few months ago, I convinced you to go into went in there, there was an accident, and you got-..."She paused, recalling how familiar this is.
"Super powers?..."Danny questioned.
Actually, ghost powers..."Sam said, feeling a big sense of deja vu.
She pretty much said word for word what she told Danny after the Desiree disaster.
"So, I'm like...some superhero?..."He asked.
His friends nodded.
"Yep, you're called Danny Phantom and you use your powers for good..."Tucker said.
Danny blinked in confusion.
"But wait...My name is Danny Fenton...why am I called Danny Phantom? It sounds too similar..."Danny said.
His friends just shrugged.
"Hey man, you came up with the name..." Tucker said
"And it's better then Invis-o-Bill..." Sam said and Danny raised a brow at that.
"Who the heck goes around calling themselves Inviso-Bill?..."He questioned.
"Technically, you for a while..." Sam said deadpan..."Don't worry, you didn't come up with it..."She added.
"Then who did?..."He asked but Tucker and Sam shrugged
"We're not sure..." Sam admitted
"Only one source could come up with something that laughably bad..." Tucker joked.
"The media..." The goth snarked with a smirk.
The amnesiac ghost boy rose a brow, he felt as if it was to be expected, but couldn't remember why. Memory loss was funny like that at times.
A bad publicist was at work or something, but he pushed aside that thought for the million dollar question.
"So, how did I lose my memories?..."Danny asked, still drawing a blank.
"A few hours ago, you were fighting one of your enemies...Skulker...He's this hunter who...sort of wants your pelt..."Tucker said and Danny's eyes widen.
"My what?!..."Danny exclaimed.
"Danny, shush!..."Sam shushed.
Despite being quiet now Danny was still freaking out about the pelt thing.
"Dude... calm down..." Tucker hushed.
"My pelt?! He wants MY PELT?! As in my skin?!..."He asked, looking REALLY unnerved now.
"Well... yeah..." Tucker said, getting smacked in the back of the head by Sam.
Tucker hissed in pain and would've argue had she not glared at him while her darted to Danny.
"Maybe wait until we caught him up to what he can do?!..." Sam suggested forcefully.
"Why does he want my pelt?!..." Danny asked.
"Because he's a total sicko..." Sam thought
Unfortunately, Tucker opened his mouth once more and was being blunt.
"He said that he want's to put that skin at the foot of this bed..." Tucker responded only for Sam to decked the boy in the arm.
Hard.
"OW! What?..." He asked as he he rubbed the sore spot where Sam elbowed him
"Not helping..." Sam hissed as she gestured to the terrified look on Danny's face.
"He asked!..." Tucker said in defense.
"That doesn't mean answer right away! Ease him into it!..." Sam shouted as she pointed to the ghost boy, who was now huddled into an almost fetal position.
He was really freaking out as he took in the fact that someone wants to skin him, probably alive.
"What kind of maniac does that?..."Danny asked, horrified upon hearing that.
Suddenly, he was afraid of the truth. He didn't want an answer as he shushed his friends.
What kind of life did he have? What kind of sickos does he deal with in his life?
First lying red heads with no sense of personal space and now crazy hunters who want to skin him?!.
"Danny, calm down..."Sam said.
"I can't calm down...I just learned that I happen to be some kind of superhero who fights ghosts, and one of them wants to skin me. What's next, is there an evil guidance counselor or cheerleaders who turn into dragons?..."Danny asked rhetorically.
Sam smirked a bit at the cheerleader remark. She wouldn't like it if she saw one, but figured it was only a matter of time with their luck. Then again, there was Paulina and the amulet incident at the school dance.
"Well, for the guidance councilor, you got rid of her and technically, there was only one cheerleader..." Tucker said .
Danny's eyes widened upon hearing that.
"I was just kidding..."Danny said.
"Pretty spot, though..." Sam and Tucker thought
It was almost like the boy was remembering everything already. Or his latent memories were returning as random thoughts.
Sam was the next to speak.
"But yeah... that happened..."She said as the boy took a deep breath as he steadied himself.
This was a lot to take in, though he couldn't help being curious about his life still. He could say there was nothing boring.
"So, I actually fought a cheerleader who was a dragon?..."He questioned.
"Technically it was a magic amulet that did that to the cheerleader, but you handled that too..." Tucker said.
Danny nodded.
"Did I really fought a ghost who disguised herself as a guidance counselor?..." He asked.
"Yes, you did..." Sam said..."She was picking on you a lot, so you needed payback..."She said.
"Huh?..." Danny said.
"She was making you miserable on purpose..." Sam explained.
"Oh..."Danny said with a smirk.
He didn't remember who this evil guidance counselor is but figured she must have been a bad one. Amnesia or not, even he knew that they weren't supposed make people miserable.
"And I have more bad guys?..." Danny asked.
"Yeah, quite a few but-..."Sam was cut off by Tucker, who once again, open his mouth.
"Like the plant monster, or a living storm, or an evil prince who turns into a dragon..." Tucker added.
"Huh?..." Danny went as his friend continued.
"Wait until you ask us about your archenemy, or the evil rock-star who developed a thing for you, or-..."He was cut off when Sam ribbed him again.
"Ow! What was that for?!..."He complained.
"One step at a time, Tucker!..." Sam went.
"Sorry!..." Tucker went ashe saw Danny was having trouble processing all of this information.
"An archenemy? Evil rockstar? Guy who wants my pelt?!..." Danny asked in increasing dread.
"Well... yeah, kinda..." Sam admitted sheepishly.
Danny sighed, feeling exhausted now.
"Be honest, just how crazy is my life?..." Danny asked
"On a scale of one to ten...about a thousand..." Sam said as she put a hand on Danny's shoulder.
"But on the bright side, you've always had us..." Tucker said
"We were even there when you got your powers..." Sam added.
"It was technically her fault..." Tucker pointed out and managed to avoid Sam's attempt to sock him.
"Hey! He wanted to take a look in the first place... I just convinced him to go through with it!..." Sam shouted.
"I'm sure he has you to thank for the sleepless nights too..." Tucker muttered.
"What was that?!..." Sam asked.
Before Tucker can argue again, Danny cleared his throat loudly to get their attention, reminding them of his issue.
"Remember me?..."He said.
"Right... my bad..." Tucker said as he put a hand on his shoulder... "I should have mentioned that stuff about the evil rock star later... even that she's into you and sort of hot too..."He added.
He ignored the angered look Sam sent him for that.
"Do she and I have a sort of super hero and hot villainess thing going?" Danny asked with some curiosity.
It was weird that even amnesiac, he still could recall that sort of thing. No doubt a combination of comic books and hormones..
"No... she's too evil to reform..." Tucker said... "Plus, you made it clear you're not into world domination. So it's more like a "join or die" thing, in that she's got the hots for you but not afraid to put you in the ER..."He explained.
"I already don't think I like her..."Danny said.
"Good, cause you don't..."Sam said.
"Not her personality, anyway..." Tucker said. Sam sent a dirty look at him and he got defensive.
"We're allowed to think she's hot even if she's evil!.."He argued.
Sam rolled her eyes and Danny did not know how to feel.
"Okay, ignoring that for later..." The ghost boy quipped as he removed the hand on his shoulder.
"Good luck with that..." Tucker deadpanned while Sam sent him a dirty look at that.
"Not the time..." She said.
"Right... onto the important stuff, the amnesia stuff..." Tucker said.
Danny nodded and looked curious.
"So, what exactly happened to make me lose my memory again?..." Danny asked.
"You and Skulker were fighting over a canister with tiny robots he was hired to steal..." Tucker said.
"Robots?..." Danny asked.
"Teeny tiny robots..." Tucker explained with a pinching hand.
"Nano bots, actually..."Sam explained..."Anyway, the canister had nano bots in them, it exploded and the nanobots...are sort of inside you right now..."She said slowly and awkwardly.
"What?..."Danny said as he grabbed his head as he registered what his now new friend told him.
"They're inside you..." She repeated.
Danny looked even more stunned now.
"Like... I ate them?.."He asked but his friends shook their head.
"No... they crawled into you, probably though the pores of your skin or something..." Tucker explained.
Danny's left eye twitched upon hearing that.
"Skin?! They're in my skin?!..." Danny asked and suddenly, all he wanted to do was scratch them out like a cat with fleas to no avail.
"Actually, they're inside your head..." Sam explained.
Danny looked even more unsettled now.
"My head?!.."He exclaimed as he even grabbed it a moment.
His friends nodded.
"That's why you can't remember anything"... Sam said.
"They are what are blocking your memories but don't worry, we'll help you..."Tucker said.
Danny felt like his head was going to explode , which is possible for all he knew.
His life was scaring him more and more.
"If they're in my head, get them out! GET THEM OUT!..." Danny said as he panicked.
"We can't... all we can hope is they lose power and your body's immune system kicks in and destroys them as your memories come back or we have to figure out how to remove without doing any damage to your brain..."Sam said.
Hearing that didn't calm him down.
"Seriously?!..." Danny asked.
"Seriously..." Sam and Tucker went.
"How long can that take?..." Danny asked.
"We're hoping not too long, since we kind of need you back to normal ASAP..." Sam said.
"But hey, don't sweat it. We have been through worst jams and we can get through this..."Tucker said optimistically.
"He's not wrong. We can do it..." Sam added.
Danny still looked freaked out and on edge. He rubbed the temples on his head.
"I don't believe this..." Danny said as he shook his head..."Not all of this can be real..." He ground very loudly.
"Danny?..." Sam asked.
"You okay?..."Tucker asked and noticed the dirty look the amnesiac boy sent him..."I mean... relatively..."He said weakly.
"No, I am not! I don't know what's real and what's fake right now..." Danny said, grabbing his temples ..."I just want things to make sense again..."He said.
"Don't worry, they will..."Sam said.
She wasn't sure what to do but her friends needs help. And fast.
She's sure Jazz will be able to do something. Even if she's not sure how well that help will work.
"Soon as your sister gets here, it'll be a start to recovery..." Sam said.
"She said that she has some stuff that might help you remember at least most of your life..."Tucker said.
"We're hoping that will at least help you start to remember the smaller stuff..."Sam added.
"You think that'll help?..." The ghost boy asked, unsure of his situation.
"No worries, Dude. We'll have you back to your ghost fighting, witty bantering self in no time!..." Tucker assured with a smile.
Danny raised a brow. Before he could ask about that, someone else came to the scene as they charged inside his house.
"Danny!..." Two other voices said
Soon, two girls ran to them, girls that Danny recalls as being his sister and that blonde girl, Estelle.
"DANNY!..."Jazz said in relief as she hugged her little brother.
"You're my sister, right?..."Danny said and Jazz smiled and nodded.
"Yes, I am..."Jazz said as she hugged Danny for a long time, not letting him go for even a second.
"Uh Jazz, he needs air!..." Sam said, after a solid two minutes of Jazz hugging Danny
"I'm his big sister! I can hug as long as I want!..." She said.
I don't know what worse: this hug or that fact that I'm okay with it..." Danny said, gasping for air.
"You got to be kidding me..." Sam snarked. Happy to see the boy happy, but found this moment annoying.
"You're just jealous..." Jazz replied, not caring what the goth had to say. The older sister had been worried sick.
Sam rolled her eyes.
As Danny puzzled over this, he saw someone else. Another girl was relieved to see him again.
Colette's sister, Estelle, but what is SHE doing here?
The two stared at each other for a while, the day had not started so well, but Star was happy to see the ghost boy.
"Danny Boo..." Star said happy to see him again, here with her and away from Colette.
When Val had split up from her to go "cover more ground", she had a feeling that a ghost was involved. Thankfully, it wasn't Danny that she was after and she knew her friend was tough enough to handle any other ghost while they sort this thing out.
That just left Star to worry about her amnesiac boyfriend.
Danny was still looking at her confused, especially as she kept smiling at him. He didn't know why, but some part of him was happy to see her.
"Uh, hi?..."He said in an unsure way.
Her smile dropped a little.
"Danny-Boo?..."She repeated.
Danny looked at her weirdly at that pet name of hers. However, Jazz hugged him even tighter and he ended up smiling, hugging her back. For the first time all day, this felt like the natural thing to do.
"Colette told me that you were mean to me...but I didn't believe her..."He said as she let go.
"Remind me to punch her for that..."Jazz said, still angry over Colette's actions.
"Get in line..." Sam, Tucker and Star said, just as as angry with Colette as the sister is.
Jazz sighed in relief and pulled back.
"At least you're home..."She said.
"Yeah, I guess..."Danny said, sheepishly.
He still didn't remember much about his life, but at least now, he felt like he is suppose to be here with them.
A stark contrast when he was with Colette. Just being around her made him suffocate. He could only wonder what the villains would make him feel like. At the least, he felt like he could trust his big sister, even if she was hugging him tight.
Though it felt right and he felt better now than he did earlier.
Much better.
Though it'd be better if he remembers.
"So what happens now?..." Danny asked.
"Well, I'd asked the other girl who's about to hug you..." Jazz replied with a smirk.
"Huh?..."
He was distracted by another girl. One who's intentions were pure, but overbearing at the moment.
"Danny!..."Star said as she ran to him and hugged him as soon as Jazz let him go.
However, unlike with Jazz, Danny looked bewildered.
"Estelle?..."He questioned.
"It's Star..."The blonde said before hugging him even tighter..."I am just so glad that you are safe and that Colette's brainwashing didn't work..."She added.
"You and me both..." Tucker said, remembering how scary Danny looked when he got all hostile.
That wouldn't be fun.
"But at least I have my Danny-Boo back..." Star said.
Danny looked at her weirdly again.
"Danny-Boo?..."He questioned.
"Why does she keep calling me that?..." He thought.
Star blinked at his behavior.
"Why's Danny acting like that?..." Star asked her friends.
But she didn't get an immediate response. Sam and Tucker gave each other a look.
"Actually, Star..he...uh...still doesn't remember much..."Sam said.
Danny looked at Star strangely, like he was trying to remember how he knew her. He remembered her from Colette but nothing else and he was half sure Colette had been lying about that time too.
"Do we... know each other?..."He asked.
"Yes..." She said.
"Then... why aren't you in that photo album Mans- I mean, Sam, showed me?..."He asked and Star looked to her feet now.
"I'm... kind of recent..." Star admitted.
"Recent?..."He questioned.
Tucker looked to Sam. She sighed, rolled her eyes, and answered Danny.
"Technically, we've known her for years. She more recently joined our group... because of you..." Sam said, that last one under her breath.
Danny wondered what she meant by that. However, the blonde girl had a nervous smile, like she was embarrassed. The ghost boy felt a sting of happiness looking at her.
"Danny, I know that you are confused now, but we are here for you..."Star said sincerely.
The dark haired boy raised a brow.
Before Danny could ask what she meant, he felt another vision happening, one involving this blonde girl.
FLASHBACK
Danny was at a water park running towards a bathroom for some reason
Whatever the reason Danny didn't think he had to go to the bathroom Danny opened the door only to get pushed out by a manicured hand
"Hello! Ladies room..." The blonde girl said as she point to a ladies picture on the door, while her friend sent a mean smirk.
"I'd tell you to go to the men's room, but I don't think you qualify..."The pretty but mean girl said
The two girls high-five each other.
Danny scowls
He didn't have time for this, running to the men's room.
End of Flashback
Once it stopped, Danny hissed and Star noticed.
"Are you okay?..."Star asked but was surprised when he pulled back.
"What's wrong?..."She asked, worried.
The ghost boy, meanwhile, recalled his recent memory that returned. Danny sent a wary look to Star, who looked even more worried now.
But why was she worried? Why is she even here to start with? Wasn't she another bully? He felt like she was
But why was she being so nice to him right now?
"Why are you here? Really? If we're on good terms, why did I remember you being mean to me at a water park?..."Danny asked.
Star flinched.
"How did you know about that?..."She asked while Sam and Tuck looked confused.
"We didn't say anything..."Tucker said and Sam nodded.
"I...I guess I remembered it...it did happen right?..."Danny asked.
Star cringed but knew that she can't lie here, though that was not a memory she wanted him to recall.
"Of all things he could remember, why THAT one?..."Star thought in dismay.
"Yes, it happened but that was... a different time..." She said.
"Different time?..."Danny questioned.
"Long story..." Jazz said
"One I'll be more than happy to fill in..." Star said.
To her dismay, her amnesiac boyfriend still looked confused and maybe even UPSET at her presence.
"Uh... okay?..." He went and Star felt her heart sink as realization sunk in.
"He still doesn't remember the island, or anything afterwards... all we've been through..." She thought sadly.
It was so heartbreaking the girl could burst into tears. But she had to stay strong. She had faith that Danny's memories would fully return and they could make up after this.
They just had to.
However, Sam spoke up.
"Come on, we have to go talk some place a little more private. Just in case Danny's folks suddenly barge in..."Sam said and the others nodded.
"Good idea..." Star said
She was hoping they could talk about ways to get the Danny she loves back and soon.
At Fenton Works
Danny looked around the Ops center at all the technology with wide eyes
"Welcome to the Ops center, Danny!..."Sam said.
"What is this place? What are we here for?..."Danny asked as he looked around, confused.
"Dude, this is your house..."Tucker said.
"And the OPS center is our unofficial meeting place..." Sam said
"Why are we here?..."Danny asked.
"To fight, of course!..."Tucker said.
"Fight? I don't know how to fight!..."Danny said.
"But of course you do! You just forgot. But we'll refresh your memory..."Sam said and Jazz nodded.
"It's true, your muscle memory should have been untouched by the nanobots, since its not in their program to inhibit motor function ..." Jazz explained
"Which means you might start remembering as soon as you start throwing punches..." Star said.
"Right, before the ghosts start hurting people..." Tucker added.
"Is it... do they always do that?..."Danny asked, not liking the idea of innocent people being hurt.
"They do..." Jazz said.
His fists clenched. He didn't remember much but he knew that for sure, he didn't like people getting hurt or others being mean.
"Don't worry, we'll make sure that you remember everything..."Star said in a sweet tone.
To her surprise, Danny just sent her another wary look.
"If you say so..." He said.
"R-Right..." Star said.
"Okay... let's do this..." Jazz said.
"Right... do you stuff..." Sam said.
Jazz got all of the family pictures, momentous and sentimental items, along with a disk on her hand. All to fix her little brothers memory.
"I've compressed most of the family videos here. This should jump-start things..."Jazz said as she placed the disk on the computer.
Danny sat down as Jazz powered up the computer and inserted the home movies.
"You think this will work?..." Sam asked.
"Hopefully..." Jazz said
"Hopefully?..." Danny asked.
"I'm trying to be optimistic. Ready?..."Jazz asked.
While a little sigh, Danny nodded as he got ready to learn who he really was.
"Okay... show me..." He said as he sat down as the rest went to the stairs.
Sam and Tucker, sending friendly smiles, were the first to go.
"We'll be waiting, Danny..."Sam said on her way out.
"Good luck, dude..."Tucker said.
Star was the last to go as she waved to him.
"See you there, Danny..." Star said with a smile.
"O... kay..." He went, still wary, much to her disappointment.
Star sighed sadly as she continued walking away.
"Why does she look so sad?..." Danny thought before going back to getting his memories back.
He watched the videos and sat through various photos. Flashes of memory's appeared he learned more about himself with everything that he saw.
Birthdays, Christmases(which seemed pretty short and not that great), holidays and other special occasions were being seen by him.
It was all him and his so-called life.
With every second, he watched and he relearned a new thing about himself
Something that, compared to what Colette said, felt right.
Later
Downstairs
Star paced downstairs in the living room, still worried. Jazz insisted on being alone with Danny to talk about some personal, private stuff after the video and make sure the information sunk in.
Tucker and Sam stood outside Danny's bedroom, looking as worried as she is.
"This is taking forever..."Star said.
"Well, she is refreshing his memory on his whole life..."Sam said.
Star still looked frustrated.
"She doesn't need to show ALL of his life, just the stuff that's important to him, the stuff that makes Danny...well, Danny..." Star said.
"And he will be, just be patient Star..." Tucker promised..."He'll be back to being him soon..."He said.
"Yeah... we just need to hope it works..." Sam said.
Star heard this and got worried. She had to say positive. She tried to push that out of her mind.
"Any idea on what kind of positive memories he may have that played a part of who he is?" Tucker asked.
"Maybe stuff like his favorite show growing up, the first time he saw a space shuttle launching, or even the first time he had a juicy burger..." Star suggested.
"In theory, at least. Remember, this is his BRAIN we are talking about. And a teenage boy's brain while we're at it..." Sam said, and she knew that they had to be careful here.
The human brain wasn't something you should go messing with. However, they had few options right now.
"Let's just hope he listens..."The goth said.
Star nodded, hoping that he will listen and get better.
"He has to..." Star thought in sadness.
He had to get better, Amity Park needed Danny Phantom like Star needed Danny Fenton. She knew he had to get back to normal, she wanted him back.
This was the only idea they had, so it had to work. If not, she didn't know what to do. Star was trying to look on the bright side but this was kind of hard.
The fact that he at least remembers some bits and pieces suggests this can work, but so far, the only thing he remembers about her is the water park incident.
Not exactly her nicest moment.
"Of all the things he had to remember... Even me kissing up to him at that stupid beauty pageant wouldn't have been a problem..."
She thought as she rubbed her temples.
Sam saw this and gave her input.
"We don't have a huge list of idea, but this is the best we can do for now..."The goth girl said.
However, one was a bit unsure on this. It was Tucker.
"And that'll work?" He asked.
"With any luck, once he remembers that stuff, the rest with follow..." Sam added.
"But... do we know if those are the right moments she's showing?..." Tucker asked.
That got Star worried.
"That's a good question..."She said.
Suddenly, she was getting more and more antsy and unsure. And losing a bit of hope.
Sam, for once, tried to be optimistic here. It was against her goth nature but someone had to be the hopeful here.
Even if it felt a little strange to do so.
"He'll be back..." She said.
"How are sure?..."Star asked.
"I'm not sure but I'm hopeful..."Sam said. "Jazz is pretty smart and she knows things about Danny we don't, even from before he got his powers..."She said.
Hearing that SHOULD make her feel better. Star, however, still looked concerned.
"That doesn't mean he'll remember me so fast... at least, not the current me, if he even remembers me at all..." She thought.
She knew one major thing he won't learn about.
"I didn't become his girlfriend until 3 months ago... there's nothing there to remind him of the good times..."Star said in an insecure tone.
Both of Danny's friends realize she's right and were worried for her.
"Don't worry. What matters is that Danny is here with us now..."Tucker said.
"Yeah, and he is finally listening to us..."Sam added.
"I know..."Star said, still seeing the wary look Danny sent her earlier.
It was like he still did not trust her or something.
Was Colette's brainwashing against her still in his head? Was the nanobots affecting him? Or was it just he doesn't truly love her and can only remember the bad times thanks to their fight?
She really, REALLY hoped that it wasn't the last one, she regrets deeply what she said and did.
She wanted her Danny back, and will make Colette pay for taking advantage and spreading lies about her that no doubt played a hand in this.
"When I get my hands on Colette, she's going to regret EVER leaving France..." Star thought before her thoughts turned to her amnesiac boyfriend.
"The way he looked at me... it's like I'm the Star from before Specter Island again..." She said.
Sam and Tucker shared a worried look for her as she pouted and slid down the wall before sitting on the floor.
"It'll be okay, Star..."Tucker said.
"Yeah, it will be okay..."Sam said unsurely as she event uncharacteristically put a hand on her shoulder.
"Really? How can you be so sure?..." Star asked
"At least he remembers we're friends..." Sam said.
"At least he remembers YOU in a positive manner..."Star sighed bitterly.
"Which means... he'll remember you too..." Sam said.
"He's remembering fast so far, so that's proof..." Tucker added.
"Yeah, that's something..."She admitted
"And we'll make sure he remembers everything else..." Tucker said.
"Even me?..." Star asked.
Sam flinched for a looked at Star being miserable, before she sighed .Mentally preparing herself, the goth looked at the girl in the eye.
"Yes, you too..."
"Really?..." Star asked. "You'd do that for me?..."
Sure, it was obvious to everyone that she and Sam have never always seen eye to eye for many reasons, especially concerning Danny but his safety was more important.
Sam took a deep breath, not liking that's agreeing to it, and nodded.
"We'll make sure he remembers..." Sam promised her rival.
As much as she didn't like their relationship, she knows that she could never want it to end like this.
It's not right. It's too cruel, even for her.
"I promise that we will help him remember and set everything straight. Then you guys can go back to being so nauseatingly lovey dovey and make out in public..."Sam said.
Star nodded and smiled at her.
"Thanks..."The blonde said, appreciating this.
"Don't mention it..." Sam said.
Tucker smiled. He knew that things have been crazy between the two girls since Danny close to Star but Sam has come a long way in the last 3 months
From the incident with Ember to at least respect his choice of a relationship with Star and finding some equal ground to stand on.
Especially since the blonde has proven herself trustworthy and that her feelings for Danny were genuine.
"I just hope this works..."Star said.
Tucker smiled hopefully nodded to his former crush as he leaned back against the wall.
"Don't worry... we'll have Danny back to normal soon..." Tucker assured and Sam nodded.
"Yeah... you two will be..." Sam groaned. "Holding hands and kissing in no time..."
She hated to say that, but hated what's become of Danny more. Besides, she STILL rather Danny be with someone like Star than her lousy step sister Colette, who actually makes PAULINA seem nice in comparison.
And that's saying something.
At the very least, Star has come to care for WHO he is, not mold him into someone he's not. Unlike a certain stepsister, which reminded the girls about getting revenge later.
One they had to make plans for.
"So, we're kicking Colette's butt when this is over right?..." Sam asked
"Oh, big time..." Star answered, making fists.
"Good, I call dibs on the teeth..."Sam said with a wicked grin.
"And I get her hair..."The blonde said, already planning on tearing it out of her scalp.
"We should make a list..." The goth replied with glee.
Tucker ALMOST felt bad for Colette now, as he knew that these two girls together will do to her when they get the chance.
"At least, they're getting along...I guess... "Tucker thought, though still a little unsettled as the girls made more revenge plans.
As well as making a mental note to never tick off BOTH of them at the same time.
Still, a part of him couldn't help but excited about this. The part of him that also desires some revenge.
"I wish I could film whatever they got planned for Colette..."He thought, since he doesn't exactly care for her interest anymore.
Sure, she is hot but even he can see now that she is just too toxic.
He then noticed that Stat still looked pretty down, and tried to cheer her up.
"It's gonna be okay, Star.."Tucker said.
"Yeah, things will work out..."Sam said.
Star SHOULD have felt better upon hearing that, but her mind went back to their fight and how unfairly she treated him just she got mad that he forgot something clearly few people would take into consideration.
She felt so stupid for getting worked up over something so small, trivial and not worth arguing over, while he had been protecting the school from Skulker
She should have just talked to him about it , not yell at him and make sure a big fuss over something she just found out a day earlier.
Maybe then, he wouldn't have gotten his amnesia in the first place and he wouldn't have woken up to Colette trying to brainwash him into being her pet.
Even if it didn't work, the part meant to turn him against her seemed to have paid off. And now, it seems because of that, he can't recognize her or remember their bond together.
She wanted to make it up to him. To apologize...and rip Colette's fake hair out of her skull, but first make up with her boyfriend and go back to normal.
She just had to tell him that she is sorry...and that she loves him.
The blonde girl thought back to the look in his eyes when she yelled at him and ran off. She felt even more guilt and regret. As well as desperation to make things right between them as soon as possible.
"Not before I can say I'm sorry..." Star said in a depressed tone.
She deeply regretted their argument and wished to make it clear she loves him first.
"And you will..." Sam said.
"Yeah, in no time..."Tucker added.
Star sighed. The blonde girl looked to them.
"I hope you guys are right..."Star said.
The blonde girlfriend and two best friends continued waiting for any results.
They just hoped Jazz's plan works, not just for them.
But all of Amity Park too.
