This chapter will see the Hand and there new allies going up against the Defenders again, so hope all are excited for it.

Chapter 8- Ashes.
Earth-911111, New York City.
"What have we got on finding out what Gorgon wants?" Jason asked as he walked up to where Chris, Nikolia and Danielle were standing.
The room smelt of freshly brewed coffee and the slight whiff of perfume.
"It's related to the Iron Fist. My powers come from a Dragon." Danielle said.
"Okay then." Jason shrugged simply.
"You don't really seem to be concerned that she said Dragon." Chris said.
"Wouldn't be my first encounter with a Dragon." Jason smirked.
"There are other Dragons in the Multiverse?" Chris blurted.
"Yep. In my universe. One of them was 35,000 feet tall." Jason laughed.
"Your universe sounds fascinating." Nikolia said lowly.
"Yep." Jason said.
"Okay, moving on, I've sent Mila, Penny and Jamie to make sure we don't get surprised." Danielle said.
"Okay, sounds good." Jason nodded.
"Well, until they do come back, we need to wait." Nikolia said.
"Wonderful." Jason said.
"And I know about Gorgon, as I communicated with my former masters." Danielle said.
"What do you know?" Jason asked.
"His birth name was Tomi Shishido he was a former monk in K'unn Lunn. He was that good in skills, and he had wanted to prove himself. Despite his best efforts, he never got the recognition he craved for, and so anger and bitterness fested in his heart. One night, Tomi tried to acquire the powers of the Iron Fist for himself, but had been discovered and cast out of K'unn Lunn for that. Bitterness and hatred fueled his emotions, and quenched his thirst for battle. Soon, he discovered that he had the ability to turn anyone he looked at to stone. Taking the new name Gorgon, he traveled to the location of the Hand. He first pledged himself to the Hand's cause, and worked up through ranks, though like K'unn Lunn before, he never got what he wanted. One day, he seized power of the Hand, tracking down and eliminating the Five Fingers- the people who controlled the organization. Becoming the leader of the Hand, he executed any Hand members still loyal to the Five Fingers. Everyone else pledged themselves to him." Danielle concluded.
"Danm it! That sounds bad." Chris commented.
Jason's hairs stood up on the back of his neck, and a chill ran down his spine.
Mila walked down the street, thinking about what she had recently learnt about Gorgon.
As she entered her apartment, her senses went haywire as she sensed something.
Clenching her fists, she smelt TNT and barely avoided a rocket blast which destroyed her apartment and knocked her out the window where she landed on another rooftop.
Mila spat out a thick glob of blood as someone landed on the roof.
A hooded man with glowing fists stood there, smirking at her as Mila staggered back up.
With a laugh, he flipped and threw knives at Mila which she had to deflect.
"Come on Murdock, I know you can do better than that." He taunted as he kicked her away.
Mila staggered up and kicked away his foot before lashing out, though the hooded man flipped to avoid.
Mila picked up him and slammed him down again, before kicking his face multiple times.
He caught her foot again and picking Mila up, threw her across the roof.
Mila got back up and rushed him, sending a flying kick to his chest.
Mila leapt and charged again, pushing him back until he planted his feet on the ground firmly.
Then he kneed Mila in the abdomen, making her gasp as he punched her hard on the face too, making her stagger back.
As Mila recovered, the man rammed into her, sending her back again, as Bullseye punched her abdomen, making her gasp.
Mila then head-butted the man, staggering him slightly.
He leapt behind Mila at full speed, elbowing her hard, staggering her away and as she turned around, she received three hard punches before he roundhouse kicked her again.
Jason, Danielle, Nikolia and Chris were discussing something when the doors burst open and Jamie and Penny entered, both looking slightly panicked.
"What is it?" Jason asked immediately.
"We got company!" Jamie said as someone crashed through the window.
A man in a hood with a semi-automatic in his hand attacked, forcing Danielle, the closest person to him, to wrestle the gun away.
Danielle then kicked him so hard; he went flying out the window.
"There are more of them." Jamie said.
"Damn it! Looks like Gorgon found us." Penny groaned as she, Jason, Danielle, Jamie, Chris and Nikolia walked outside the office, to where many armed men were.
"It's not going to go down how you boys expect." Jason laughed.
With that, the six of them attacked.
Jason flipped a soldier down while Chris roundhouse kicked another.
Jamie shot a soldier's gun and killed another before sweeping one's feet from under him and then knocking him out with a roundhouse kick.
Penny smacked another out while Danielle used the Iron Fist to throw them away.
Nikolia swiftly sliced the throat of a thug with a knife before slicing the feet of another and then stabbing him in the chest.
Mila groaned as she was kicked down again, before rolling away and flipping away.
The man threw a playing card at Mila who dodged, but the card still sliced her cheek, drawing blood.
"You're getting weak. And when you become weak, you get sloppy." He laughed hysterically before attacking.
Mila blocked an elbow strike and punched him there, before avoiding a strike and punching his left knee, staggering him back and delivering a hard kick to his jaw, knocking him down.
Jason head-butted another thug down while Nikolia fought another.
Nikolia brought the soldier's face down on his knee, and the soldier crumpled.
Before he could recover, he stabbed him in the throat.
Jamie, Penny and Danielle fought back to back, taking down soldiers with there skills.
Jamie yanked a thug off his feet and threw him to Danielle who knocked him out with a punch.
Chris kicked a thug in a spin motion as Jamie head-butted another.
Nikolia kicked another soldier in a flip motion while Penny elbowed another and Danielle took down several with the Iron Fist.
Jason jumped and impaled another before head-butting another thug and kicking a third in a flip motion.
The man leapt behind Mila at full speed, elbowing her hard, staggering her away and as she turned around, she received three hard punches.
Then Mila grabbed his hand, removing it, and gave him an uppercut, sending him flying off before he flipped and landed and firing a grappling hook from his belt, swung at Mila, kicking her who then flipped and landed in front of him as both exchanged blows.
The man avoided and elbowed Mila in a rotary motion, sending her down once more.
Mila snarled before ducking to avoid a punch and blocking another and punched him back before elbowing him back.
The man blocked another punch but was hit by the following one.
He grabbed Mila by the back of the head and slammed her head on his knee, dazing her as she fell down.
Jason avoided a strike, and kicked back while Danielle was gotten in a chokehold from behind.
Lifting the man up, Danielle elbowed him, taking him down.
Jason leapt at one and pinned him down as he punched him to knock him out.
"Damn guys! This is not what I had been expecting today!" he commented.
Jamie backed to avoid a flip-kick from one and ducked to avoid another punch before smacking him, slightly staggering him, though he wasn't knocked out.
The assassins smirked but Jamie smirked back. Then the assassin heard beeping and looked down to see a small flash-bang beeping, and it exploded, knocking him out.
Penny ran as a criminal ran after her, only for another assassin to appear in her way.
Penny ran towards him and as he and the one behind tried to strike simultaneously, she ran past the assassin, effectively dodging his strike as they hit each other and grunted in pain.
Chris flipped to avoid an assassin's strike and tripped him with her foot.
Danielle backed to avoid an assassin's strike and hit him with the Iron Fist, weakening him as he was taken down.
Nikolia fought two assassins simultaneously and took them down.
Jason kicked one assassin away by many feet and sliced another one before swiftly stabbing a third one dead.
Chris moved and fired an explosive arrow that took out dozens of men before Nikolia kicked one in a spin motion and Jason lifted another and slammed him to the ground.
Moving in a spin motion, Jason chopped off an incoming solder's head, before blocking another strike and stabbing that soldier through the throat.
Nikolia shot one soldier through the head before smacking another out and kicking a third in the throat, making him gasp in pain as he staggered back.
Nikolia leapt and kneed that soldier in the face, taking him down.
Chris rolled to avoid several more attacks, and blocked another strike, before smacking that man out with his bow.
Danielle punched another out while Jamie slammed another through the wall, breaking it, before punching him many times in the face.
Penny avoided a strike and smacked the man out, while Danielle took down another.
Jamie head-butted a thug that tried to sneak up on him before kicking another into a wall, breaking it as the thug fell through.
A ninja tried to slash though Jamie backed off to avoid and kicked him away.
Jamie immediately grabbed one thug by the leg and threw him into a wall before kicking another one down and Jason lifted a third thug up, throwing him away, before grabbing another and using him to smack the others.
Nikolia then leapt at two more assassins and punched them down before lifting another and slammed him down as well.
Jason ducked to avoid a thug's strike and swept his feet from under him in a spin motion before spinning and stabbing another through the throat with a knife.
As another tried to attack from behind him, he kicked his knee, shattering it before Nikolia climbed over his body with his feet and flipped, ripping out his sword from the previous guard in the process as he landed and twirled his sword.
As another tried to attack, Jason threw a knife, hitting him in the neck as he was taken out while another grabbed him in a chokehold from behind but he leapt and flipped, making them both fall down as the thug groaned.
Mila blocked another strike and lashed out a kick to the man's groin, staggering him as he groaned in pain.
Mila growled before ducking to avoid a punch and blocking another and punched him back before elbowing him.
Two more thugs arrived there and tried to draw their weapons but Jason threw two knives and they were both dead as the knives hit their throats.
Some more arrived from behind him and attacked but he dodged and kicked in a spin motion.
Nikolia vaulted over Jason, cannoning into a pair of assassins and taking them down.
Danielle slid across the ground, using the Iron Fist to steady herself as she launched herself at a group of thugs.
Jason jumped and kicked another before doing a spin motion and grabbing a thug's head, slamming it to the ground.
Nikolia jumped and flipped another to the ground, before Jamie punched another extremely hard, shattering the man's jaw.
Penny flipped around to avoid attacks and kicked one in the face, taking him down.
Mila punched the man in the face, before spinning around and elbowing his face in a spin motion.
Jumping, Mila kicked him in the chest, sending him crashing off the roof, where he fell, smashing onto a car, blood splattering everywhere.
Mila winced as she heard his heartbeat slow down.
Turning, she heard sounds of combat coming from the Nelson and Murdock office and leapt away to help.
Danielle elbowed a thug in a spin motion, before punching him in a spin motion, as he fell to the floor where she punched him.
Just then, a huge blast of energy exploded from nearby, sending everyone to the ground as Jason went flying into the building and Jamie and Nikolia hit there heads hard, being knocked out.
Chris and Penny were thrown down too, and both lay there groaning.
Danielle saw a large man walk up to her, twirling a sword.
"Got you finally." He said in a deep voice as he smirked and twirled his sword.
Flipping his blade so that the pommel side was facing the front, the man struck Danielle in the face with it, and she hit the ground, hard, knocking her out at last.
"No." Chris groaned, but she couldn't get up.
The man picked Danielle up and hauled over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.
"Follow me back to Gorgon. He will reward you all well." he said to the remaining thugs, mercenaries and assassins.
"What about them?" one thug pointed to Chris, Jamie, Nikolia, Penny and Jason.
"Get rid of them", the man said simply. "I don't care how you do it."
"Very well." the thug said, walking and picking the others up.
As the man left with Danielle, a few thugs picked up the others and carried them to a nearby river.
"Take a dip my friends." One thug laughed as he threw them into the river.
Unknown location.
Heavy footsteps were heard as the man from before walked in, walking to where Gorgon sat on a mat in the middle of the room.
The room was lit with candles, with oil paintings depicting ninjas all around.
"Master, we have captured Miss Rand." The man said.
"Very good work. You will be rewarded well." Gorgon said as he rose.
"Bring your best heroes. I am ready."
And done at last.
So now you know about Gorgon's back-story and hope it was interesting. And yes, he wants to claim the Iron Fist for himself, which is why he needs Danielle. And you will see what happens next as well.
