Chapter 08: New Magical Awakening…
SECOND DAY
AT THE CAMP SITE
We soon see somewhere around the camp, where we seeing Bulk Bicep flex a muscle with Derpy holding onto it to test it out as Flash watches. By an obstacle area, we spot Principle Celestia & Vice-Principle Luna helping to prepare those about to scale a rock climbing challenge; Applejack & Rainbow Dash were on the spot along with Goldie & Pinkamena.
"Listen well class. Rock climbing is all about perseverance & trust." As Principle Celestia explained this, Rarity was the girl wearing the rock climbing gear & seem worried while AJ set herself a bit up to listen, but Rainbow Dash cross her arms in waiting to take a turn. "Rarity, you can trust that Applejack will spot you." She explained this as she moves to let those here discuss the topic further.
"Yeah, so you can totally go faster than you're going right now. Like today?" Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes in wanting someone to move faster when climbing up the wall.
"Rainbow Dash!" Applejack exclaimed in seeing the daring sports loving girl giving an outburst like that, they can't rush those like Rarity who aren't 'physically' made for such challenges.
"Sorry AJ. I've been waiting to do this since we got here." Rainbow Dash apologized for her outburst, but she really wants to do this kind of sports activity while at camp.
"Well I too am sorry, but you have to wait a little longer, darling." Rarity remotely spoke in knowing that she can't rush, she has to work out her own paste as she began to climb up.
"Cheer up Rainbow, as soon as she's done, you can go before us." Pinkamena smiled off to say in letting her & Goldie let Rainbow Dash have their spot next.
As an obsessive Rainbow Dash watched, she turn to smile in seeing a happy Twilight accompanied by Timber Spruce join them.
"Oh, good! Twilight, if you spot me, I can finally go." Rainbow Dash exclaimed with relief in asking her friend this that got those here puzzled about what was that about. "I'll go get another harness." As she said this, she ran off the other direction to get something.
"I'm not sure…" Twilight was about to object about that matter until…
"I better make sure my sister doesn't need anything." Timber Spruce rest a hand on Twilight's shoulder in deciding he best help things out in what huis sister may need since he's been away. "See you later?" He stated in wishing to see the girl later during the camping experience.
Twilight smiled to nod about that while Timber Spruce was already soon out of sight.
"What was that about?" Goldie asked in finding the action, puzzling.
"What was what?" Twilight replied off puzzled in not following the question.
"Twilight, there you are! I was looking for you!" Then to Twilight's surprise, Sunset appeared carrying Spike as they were smiling to catch up to someone that went missing.
"Yeah, we saw…muph…" Spike was about to say until Sunset covered his mouth in worry of spilling the beans.
"Saw what?" Twilight raised an eyebrow in missing that.
"Oh, Spike just saw a Squirrel while we looked for you, glad your alright." Sunset smiled a bit to say this much as a cover up of having spied of her event with Timber Spruce.
Suddenly without warning, a rumble occurred that caused everything to shake; like an earthquake. Many of the student campers were yelping from the lose of balance while they screamed; wasn't long before that quaking soon cease.
"Um…Was that an earthquake?" Spike asked off worried about what happened as Sunset & Twilight were concern of what happened.
"We aren't near any fault lines." Twilight stated in puzzlement about there was no way an earthquake should have happened in their area.
"In short, this is not an earthquake zone." Goldie pointed off in knowing this place doesn't get earthquakes; so then how did it happen.
"Hey!" Bulk Biceps was heard yelling that earn some attention. "Who left this crystaly dusty stuff here?!" The guy pointed at the ground as he scratched his head as he, Flash & Derpy were puzzled to find…a purple glitter trail on the ground just like the stuff from the lake.
"Crystal dust, doesn't that sound like…?" Pinkamena was about to say until she was cut off…
"AAahhhh…." Rarity was distracted by what she heard about crystal dust that she yelps on losing her grip before grabbing her rope liner to hold on tight. "I-I believe I'd like to come down now!" She was freaking out here in requesting to be brought down from her rock-climbing event.
Applejack gave Rarity the thumbs up, as she was pulling on the rope liner, but….something seem off as it wasn't moving.
"Sorry Rarity, it's a little bit stuck." Applejack stated off to say in noticing the rope was stuck from being pulled, as she struggled with it.
"Well then Un-Stuck it, darling!" Rarity yelled off in a panic tone.
"Don't worry Rarity, you'll be fine, you can just hang around till then!" Pinkamena yelled up to calm the girl down.
"Oh 'ha-ha', I bet someone just waited to use that one?" Rarity rolled her eyes to remark that someone had to use the 'hang around' joke on her situation.
"Applejack, you sure you don't need help?" Goldie asked if the cow girl didn't need some help.
"Don't threat, I got this…" Applejack issued off in having this well in hand.
Then without noticing it while Applejack was focusing on helping Rarity, her hands were….MAGICALLY GLOWING ORANGE!?
"WAAaaughhh!" Rarity screamed when that sudden pull brought Rarity higher up at a quicker paste then expected; AJ yelped from her strength to let go. "WAAAaughhh!" But that caused Rarity to start falling from an even further height then before. Applejack quickly reacted to grab the last rope liner, held it just as Rarity hang on with shut eyes before…the girl was only inches off the ground now.
"Ugh, Rarity…" Applejack spoke to let the girl know it's over & she can open her eyes, but…
"APPLEJACK! What Are You Doing?!" Rarity screamed out in pour frighten motion of what the cowboy girl was trying to do; give her a heart attack.
"Is everything okay over there?" Principle Celestia called out in checking those that seem to be having problems after that brief shaking occurred.
"Uh, I don't know what happened." Applejack replied off all puzzled & confused as everyone gathered to check on her & Rarity. "I didn't even pull the rope dat hard. It's like she was light as a feather all of a sudden." She shrug off her arms to admit that she didn't pull that hard to end up lifting Rarity like she was weightless; which Rarity was breathing heavily to get herself free of the rope liner when being safely on the ground.
"Ohhhh, I was scared half to death!" Rarity exclaimed off in fuming how scared she was when she experienced something like that.
"Really, gee…I thought after going through that extremeness, you feel it was scared to death?" Pinkamena raised an eyebrow to think in what the stylish fashion girl think after that extreme experience.
"Look Rarity, it wasn't my fault! Honest!" Applejack tried to tell her friend that the event wasn't on purpose. "Let me help ye get yer harness out." She smiled in offering to help get Rarity out of her gear.
"No, thank you!" Rarity protest off to say in holding her arms up to keep AJ away; only to her surprise created….a LIGHT-BLUE DIAMOND SHIELD!
"WAAAAAaaahhhh!/SPLASH!" That diamond shield pushed Applejack through the woods before a splash sound was heard. Then after a brief moment, AJ came back but was…all soak & wet to spit water out of the mouth.
"What in the world just happened?!" Principle Celestia asked off in shock to check AJ while Sunset, Spike & Twilight stared in puzzling surprise, but not as much as Rarity inspecting her hands in what SHE did just now.
"Oh, dear me! I am so sorry! I think." Rarity expressed herself to apologize for what she did, though she's unsure of WHAT she actually did there. "Um…Did I just do whatever that was?" The girl asked in wondering, if she really just do something that was new to her towards her curious class mates as Celestia brought a soak AJ to them.
"I don't think it was your fault." While Rarity was curiously studying herself, Twilight sadly mutter to herself in thinking that…maybe the fault lies with her. "I think…I gonna go get Applejack a towel." She stated this off to a puzzled Sunset & Spike before leaving to get a towel.
"Me, too." Sunset smiled to say this to leave Rarity for a moment as the class was curious to hear what happened. "You're not the only one with a new kind of magic! This is great Twilight!" Sunset smiled in stating that while Twilight felt concern about not telling others of her new magic, turns out….the others were experiencing new magic awakenings as well.
"No, it's not! Rarity & Applejack could have really hurt each other!" Twilight protest in stating that the magic that occurred could have hurt their friends. "Why is this happening? I don't…" She held her head in fearing of not knowing why this was happening all so suddenly…
"Hi there, girls! Anything I can do for you?" Then appearing to cut in the discussion, was Gloriosa Daisy, being as lively & cheerful to see if all was well.
"Uh, well, Applejack just fell into the lake!" Twilight quickly spoke out to say this while trying to not let Gloriosa Daisy notice something was wrong with her.
"Oh, no! She's gonna need warm towels, dry clothes, oh, & a hot cocoa!" Gloriosa Daisy yelped in realizing what a student needs when they accidentally fell in a lake in their cloths, etc. "I've got this!" She stated to say before she ran off to do her duty, leaving those she spoke to alone.
Then without warning, a silent boom sound went off, followed by a girl's scream that sounded like….
"Fluttershy?" Twilight & Sunset responded together in knowing that scream, their friend must be in trouble; as they, & Spike ran towards the mess hall cabin.
Soon Twilight & Sunset ran off to check on their friend who was in trouble; as they opened the doors to enter.
"Hugh…Wha-What happened?!" Sunset asked as they observe what was going on; which was to say, the mess hall lived up to it's name….IT WAS MESSY WITH BAKEY PATTER! Even Pinkie Pie & Fluttershy were covered in cookie dough...
"Well, um, I don't know. We were just decorating cookies & then…" Fluttershy meekly spoke from wiping some dough off her cheek in being puzzled as well in what they were doing.
"And I was all, "You need more sprinkles! And you need more sprinkles!" Pinkie Pie excitedly issued off to wave down two spots left & right in adding sprinkles to the cookies.
"So in other words, standard Pinkie Pie stuff." Sunset cross her arms to make a smile in guessing; it's the usual 'Pinkie Pie stuff' that was the usual random motions of the pink girl; should have known.
"Yeah. I was just tossing sprinkles to Fluttershy, when all of a sudden they glowed pink & exploded!" Pinkie Pie smiled to explain this as she reach to grab sprinkles, then toss them in the air; which they began to glow pink, then…
"POOFVvhmmm!" Then at that moment as Fluttershy brace herself, that sprinkle stuff exploded as she & the still smiling Pinkie Pie, got hit with an exploding air force & covered in more dough with sprinkles. And the same thing happened to a braced Twilight & a stump Sunset were covered in cookie dough, even Spike on the ground braced but got a tiny bit covered on the furs.
"Just like that, only earlier!" Pinkie Pie shook her hair to remove the dough to conclude her story only to say, the stuff was a bit more…bigger in an earlier motion.
"Oookaay. Why don't you lay off touching stuff for a while?" Sunset sheepishly said with a smile of concern to decide, if Pinkie Pie did that from touching them, then it's best she doesn't make anything ELSE explode.
"Everything alright? We heard a loud boom & than…" Goldie's voice was heard as he & Pinkamena came into the room. "Woah, what happened here?" He yelps in seeing the mess.
"Did someone sprinkle too much & everything went kaboomy?" Pinkamena asked off in making a random guess.
"How did you know?" Twilight raised an eyebrow in how the girl got that right.
"Lucky guess?" Pinkamena shrug off that for a random girl, lucky guesses can help answer everything sometimes.
"Oh, dear. We really should clean all of this up." Fluttershy meekly spoke in seeing they need to clean up the mess. As Twilight pick some dough out of her hair, Fluttershy tried to reach for a paper towel roll on a high shelf, but it was too high for her as she struggled to reach. "Can someone help me out?" She turn to request any help from those that can aid in reaching for her objective.
Then tweeking on the scene, was a red bird that flew up to help get the paper towel roll in it's talons, then drop it in Fluttershy's surprise arms.
"Thank you, Mr. Bird." As the red bird landed on her finger, Fluttershy smiled to thank the feather creature.
The red bird made some tweeking sounds as Fluttershy listened to it.
"Why, of course I can get you a little something to…gasp!" As Fluttershy was saying this, she stop upon a second thought in realizing….what was going on? "Did you just... talk?" She looked at the bird with a puzzled & confused expression, did the red bird talk to her, as in….she 'understood' that.
The red bird tweeked as if saying 'I did' in response to the question.
"But I don't speak "chirp"." Fluttershy exclaimed puzzled that though she's well connected to animals, & her kindness makes them trust her; truth be told, the animals listen to her, she never understood what they had to say.
The red bird tweeked right back in replying again to Fluttershy's claim in it's own words.
"Gee, I don't know if you're the only bird I can understand or not." Fluttershy exclaimed that she doesn't know if the red bird is the only creature she can understand what it's saying.
So the red bird tweeked some more in saying something while the others were cleaning up, but some were noticing in puzzlement of Fluttershy's discussion to a bird.
"Oh, no! Please don't call for your friends." Fluttershy meekly yelped to accidentally drop the paper towel rolls in not wanting the bird to call his 'friends' at this time.
But then some of the gang yelped as loud tweeting & hooting sounds are heard, as a puzzled Fluttershy held her arms out as different color birds & owls landed on her arms, & one bird on the head; like she was a statue figure.
"Oh, um…well now…It's nice to meet all of you, too." Fluttershy was puzzled, but smiled to happily greet the forest animals.
"Ugh, Fluttershy? Were you just talking to the birds?" Sunset came out of having duck to ask this raised eyebrow of a question of what Fluttershy just 'happen' to do.
The red bird tweeked to Fluttershy who came out of her thoughts of being surrounded by lovely forest creatures upon hearing a question.
"Um, well I, that is to say, um, yes?" Fluttershy meekly responded with a sheepish smile that…she did in fact, talked with the birds.
"Okay….normally I think we've seen plenty of Fluttershy & animals, but not like this?" Goldie pointed off that this was a new kind of weirdness that was more-so over the edge then they believe.
"Yeah, this is about as strange as the other stuff earlier?" Pinkamena commented to mention this when…
Suddenly without warning, the door slammed which scared the birds & owls away & frighten Fluttershy to scream from the sudden surprise. Only for everyone to find Rarity & Applejack entering the mess hall to see the gang, & the mess, & the scattering birds.
"Did ye tell them what happened?" Applejack asked off if someone here explained about what went down earlier. "So crazy! I hoisted Rarity up de rock climbin' wall like it was nothin'! Like I had way more strength than I usually do." She shrug off in not knowing how it happened, but she felt happy cause her muscles felt like she was stronger then she usually is.
"And I made a diamondy thing appear out of nowhere, which normally I'd be excited about. I mean, the facets were just perfect, & the…" Rarity smiled in also explaining about what she did, but was slowly getting off topic much to AJ's annoyance.
"Rarity!" Applejack cuts her friend off from going off topic to focus as the puzzled group listened.
"Oh, sorry. It knocked Applejack over & then it disappeared!" Rarity sheepishly apologized which AJ smiled to see the girl focus on the topic while it left her puzzled in what she made disappeared after it pushed the cow girl right into the lake.
"Speaking of disappearing, has anybody seen Rainbow Dash?" Applejack held her chin to think before she asked this off in not having seen their daring athlete friend among those in the room here.
"Not since the rock climbing, but maybe she'll…." Goldie shrug off to say at first before…
Then without warning, a rainbow blur zipped through the door pass AJ & the rest.
"WAAaaughhhh!" Rainbow Dash was heard yelping of running too fast pass the others until she smack into a wooden wall & fell on the floor. "Ow!" Rainbow Dash rubbed where she landed while moaning a bit from what pain she felt.
"…Turn up!?" Goldie finished his sentence in surprise.
"Whoa Nelly! How'd ye do dat?" Applejack asked her friend to check on her, how did Rainbow Dash suddenly zipped by so fast.
"How? I don't even know how I did that." Rainbow Dash shrug off in not knowing how she did it either. "I started running to get the harness, & the next thing I knew, I was practically back in town!" She explained what she was doing, but when she ran, she realized that she ran…ALL THE WAY BACK TO THEIR HOMETOWN!
"Wowser, sounds like Super Speed if I ever heard it? Kinda makes me think about those games involving the world's fastest hedgehog?" Pinkamena exclaimed in finding this kind of interesting to believe while making a random matter to be heard.
"But Rainbow, if you had some sort of super speed, why you were gone for so long?" Rarity asked the puzzling question, if Rainbow Dash had some super speed, how come their friend didn't get back sooner until just now.
"Because I lost it when I got far away. And then it came back when I got close to camp." Rainbow Dash explained the puzzling matter that she had that kind of thing, that is until she lost it, but only reobtain it when she was near the camp area.
"GAAaughhh!" Pinkie Pie was heard gasping with great shock until she said something else. "OMG, which stands for oh my gosh, but anyway. Point is, being at camp is giving us all new magical abilities!" Pinkie Pie smiled off to cheerfully state off in what was happening here.
"Not all of us have gotten new abilities." Sunset sadly looked down in stating not all of them have new magical abilities to be counted. "I haven't, but Twilight…" She was about to say, but a worried Twilight shook her head in not wanting anyone to know much to the girl's…stump surprise to hear even when they are being so open. "Um...hasn't, either." She made a pretend weak smile to cross the arms, saying she & Twilight, haven't obtain new magical abilities.
"And the only others might be Ben & Nyx?" Goldie pointed off those still not present that from the Friendship Games, outside the RainBooms & Twilight, Ben & Nyx also were caught in the magical force.
"Hugh… So much for my theory that leavin' CHS would mean leavin' any new magic business behind." Applejack signed to cross her arms in seeing that her theory that after leaving their high school, they be away from any crazy magical stuff to interrupt their camp trip.
"I'm not sure. Something at the camp must be making this happen." Sunset held her head to think & state that something here, is making them who has been touch by magic, acquire new magic.
"Um…do you think it's, Gaea Everfree?" Fluttershy meekly spoke with worry in wondering if the source was….Gaea Everfree, by chance.
"Nah, if it was, she be right beside us, & I don't…" Pinkamena never got a chance to finish that sentence…
Suddenly, the door of the room was heard making a screechy sound of being open, catching everyone off guard & making Fluttershy scream as she held the paper towel roll tightly from being sacred. Then entering was a shadowy figure, many thought it was Gaea Everfree, but…it was instead Gloriosa Daisy carrying towels, & a cowboy hat on top?
"There you are Applejack! I was looking for you! Here, I brought you some towels & dry clothes." Gloriosa Daisy smiled in being glad to have found the girl, as she gave the four towels to a puzzled AJ while also putting the cowboy hat on AJ's head. "Uh, can someone tell me what happened in here?" Then she noticed the mess in the mess hall of cookie dough all over the floor & ceiling.
"We're kinda trying to figure that out." Sunset shrug off to simply say that as the best course of answer.
"It's the case of the messy kitchen accident…ohhh, spooky." Pinkamena proclaimed while making it sound spooky of a mystery here.
"Well, don't worry about it. I got this!" Gloriosa Daisy smiled to wave off a hand in saying she can handle this job for the campers.
"Gloriosa, I kicked my beanbag into the lake!" Then arriving to open the door, Sandalwood was seen stating a problem he accidentally did as Derpy was near him to find the camp counselor.
Gloriosa Daisy seem to not respond right away, as her eye sorta twitch of one problem happening after another.
"I'll get you another one!" Then recovering enough, Gloriosa Daisy smiled with a perky mood to point her index finger in promising to replace the beanbag with another instead.
"And I'm all out of arrows!" Derpy came up to show that she was low on arrows, the three in hand were slightly bend.
"Say no more! New arrows coming right up!" Gloriosa Daisy issued off to say while seemingly struggling to keep her smile up while her eye expression said otherwise…
"There you are!" Then pushing Sandalwood & Derpy to get through was Timber Spruce looking for his sister. "Filthy Rich is back. Do you want me to handle it?" The guy came near Gloriosa Daisy to whisper this under his hush voice for this being a private matter of who's back.
"Absolutely not!" Gloriosa Daisy snapped off in a hush tone in not letting her brother handle this, she'll deal with Filthy Rich. "I've got this!" Gloriosa Daisy smiled to normally say in walking with a frowning Timber Spruce as they were leaving.
"RRUUUAARRrorrrugh!" Then as Gloriosa Daisy lightly touch Sunset's wrist to move it away to move pass her, an internal scream was heard in the echoy distant air.
"Fluttershy, enough with the screaming!" Sunset rolled her eyes to remotely ask her meek & shy friend to stop the screaming, they get it…she's a bit jumpy today.
"But Sunset, I didn't scream." Fluttershy responded puzzled in not having made a peep during this whole time.
"For once." Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes in knowing that she & AJ saw it, the shy meeky girl didn't scream as to their testimony on the truth of the fact here.
"Right. Nobody did." Rarity shrug off in stating no one here screamed to their knowledge.
"She's right, not me or my sister, & trust me, she once won a screaming contest 3 years in a row." Goldie exclaimed off to say this about no one here screamed.
"Huh?" Sunset held her head in puzzlement, it's weird…she sheers she heard a girl's scream, but if no one else heard it…why did she?
"Attention, campers!" Then at this moment, Principle Celestia's voice was heard over the P.A. speaker. "Anyone who's interested in making floating paper lanterns, please meet us by the picnic tables." She announced this as the next camp activity for anyone interested in making paper lanterns that float.
"I don't know about the rest of y'all, but I've been lookin' forward to comin' here for a month." Applejack spoke out in stating her thoughts about wanting to come to this camping trip. "Maybe we forget about this "new magic" for a bit & just try to focus on enjoyin' our time at camp?" She puts on a brief smile to say they forget the new magic to enjoy life at camp.
Many seem to follow that idea, but Sunset seem different about that while Twilight was a bit worried with concerns about the whole new magic subject.
"I was oh, so excited about designs I've come up with for the camp fashion show." Rarity smiled to clap her hands in knowing she wants to enjoy the next part of camp, mostly her fashion show.
"And I've barely gotten to whoop anybody in tetherball." Rainbow Dash eagerly issued off that she wants to beat someone in a game of tetherball.
"I think we should try to figure it out. But if letting it go for now is what the rest of you want..." Sunset was a bit more concerning to learn about the new magic, but if her friends want to put it aside to enjoy the camping, then…
Abso-tootly-lutely!" Pinkie Pie was heard saying this off to agree.
Soon the rest of the RainBooms except Sunset, & a worried Twilight had some agreements on that part. The group leaves the mess hall, as they tried to continue their time at camp. The next scene focuses on showing Ben & Flash about to collect some fire wood for the next campfire.
"Hey Ben, how's about you use a little sword work, & help chop up some fire wood?" Flash Sentry suggested this out to his pal in what can help get this job done faster.
"I'll give it a shot." Ben smiled off to say, as he was seen focusing to summon the Master Sword, it appeared, but… "WOOOahhh!" Ben yelps as he felt the Master Sword suddenly supercharge, & was feeling overloaded…
At that moment, Ben lost control of his charged sword, as he fired a Sword Beam that became super wide-side that was splitting three trees down to almost five rows. And then they all fell that made a loud crashing sound that caused the guys to yelp & cringe before seeing…what they did.
"Oh…" Flash & Ben showed a bizarre expression in seeing what happened; & were concern of how much trouble they might be in when they are found out.
The noise also caught the attention of others nearby, namely…the RainBooms along with Goldie, Pinkamena, Spike, Nyx & Phobos.
"Woah, looks like we're set on firewood for a while." Pinkie Pie stated off in what they see here is a major find.
"What happened here?" Sunset asked in what even happened here all of a sudden.
"Ben & me were just chopping some logs, he summoned that sword of his & then…that happened?" Flash pointed off in what Ben was usual able to perform the unique magic he got, but something happened with the tree rows.
"That happen? But that should have taken a lot longer to chop down three trees?" Goldie raised an eyebrow in thinking there was no way that many could get chop by a single sword under the matter of seconds.
"By my guess, three in the front, five in the back, about 15 in total." Pinkamena pointed off the total of trees cut down.
"It was weird. I felt like my energy was boosting." Ben rubs his hair under his cap in not sure how that happened.
"Gee? Ain't that a surprise? Musta been too many of them Energy Sports Drinks?" Phobos rolled his eyes in making a sarcastic idea of how it all happened.
"Yeah, I thought so too that this was strange. Even stranger that I thought I saw trees falling down around here at this time of day? And it came true." Nyx stated off in having mentioned this.
"What do you mean Nyx?" Twilight raised an eyebrow in not following what Nyx was saying.
"Hugh…" Suddenly without warning, Nyx's eyes flash purple for a few seconds, then cease without warning. "Um, can we step back, cause I think Filthy Rich's car is gonna drive by here & splash us with mud?" Nyx asked this that they step back a bit in fear of someone driving & splashing mud on them.
"Mud? Like that would…" Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes to say until…
Suddenly without warning, Filthy rich's business was done that as he was in his limo, it drove pass the gang; splash mud which went on everyone except for Nyx who decided to step back.
"Happen?" Rainbow Dash finished her sentence while looking puzzled & shock at that having happened.
"Great, first I was soak wet, now I'm all muddy? Oh well, reminds me of mud wrestling back at the farm?" Applejack rolled her eyes to say before shrtuging it off; she's use to getting mud on herself from being on the farm anyway.
"Easy for you to say! Ugh, if I knew that was gonna happen, I taken Nyx's advance. Hugh…Luckily, I have a spare change of cloths." Rarity protest out to say before signing a bit to make a statement on coming prepared with a change of cloths.
"Wait, what was that again?" Sunset raised an eyebrow in what she heard.
"Spare change of cloths? If you all like, I may have some in different sizes." Rarity looked to Sunset in pondering if it's about spare cloths, but…
"No, if you knew that would happen like Nyx did. And Ben's sudden energy boost?" Sunset explained what she was really trying to say before; realization came to her. "I think they also got new magic powers too." She stated in seeing that perhaps, Ben & Nyx, like the rest, acquired some new magical powers.
"New magic powers?" Nyx & Ben responded off in surprise to have heard this; what's this about.
"Oh no….not again?" Twilight gasped lightly to mutter to herself, realizing this might be her fault as well of those having new magic.
"Hugh, so Ben's showing signs of energy boosts & Nyx can see glimpses of the future? Wow, that IS something?" Pinkamena stated off in having heard this to be intrigue on what new magical powers the gang here has acquired.
"So, do these new powers happen at random?" Spike raised an eyebrow to question this.
"I don't know, but earlier, I 'did' see Ben running up high, then on mid-air before falling down with a heavy impact on the ground." Nyx shrug off to say while also having brought up another matter that has yet to happen.
"Really, I don't know if I do that without…" Ben raised an eyebrow to protest when…
"AAaahhhhh….Run, Komodo Dragon on the loose!" Then Bulk Biceps was heard yelling out loud, as he was seen panicking & running around.
"Uh-oh, I forgot to feed Azure?" Pinkamena yelps in realizing her pet was hungry, she forgot to feed him & camne out to look for food; which scared someone cause there are no komodo dragons in this area.
"Ben, I think you better run before you get tackle?" Goldie suggested this in thinking Ben should leave, a panicked student was about to head directly for his friend's position.
"Got it! I'll dodge…" Ben issued off to say as he took a running start, unaware that a magical energy changed his shoes to become brown leather boots, which actually have been fitted with silver work & features small, along the decorative wings on the heels.
"Ben, your shoes…" Flash yelped to warn his friend about something…
"My what…?" Ben looked down to notice his shoes were changed, but then got magically changed again to look like brown leather boots, which are fitted with gold work & features small, decorative wings on the heels: but then his focus return in where he was running too at an extra fast speed. "Oh boy….WOOOAH!" Ben yelps as he was seen yelping as he felt a super fast speed, then he leaped up over a ramp to run in mid-air, before his boots were change into iron clad silver, tan-yellow bronze style boots. "Woh-OOOOOHhhh!/POWWfruvhmmm…" Ben yelps out loudly before he impacts the ground with a heavy boot press to make a small crater, as the guy was seen looking stiff in place.
"Man Ben, I think you just broke the all time dash jump record. How do you feel?" Flash exclaimed off in approaching his best buddy to pull him out of the crater he made.
"Like I should have held back?" Ben held his head from feeling woozy, this was not his day.
"Oh my, it seems like we're not the only ones?" Fluttershy yelps in seeing what happened to them, Ben & Nyx are also experiencing it too.
"I know, but…Gloriosa is really gonna wonder how this all happened?" Pinkie Pie stated off in knowing how one camp counselor will ask what happened around here.
Twilight was silent as Goldie & Flash helped Ben out of his made crater. But while this was going on, the scene focuses back to where by a hidden cabin had those watching the camp sight: Laxtinct, Shorty & Saber Dragoon of Strike Force followed by Smokescreen, Prowl & Breakaway of the Transformers.
"Man, I seen a lot of creatures that could fly, but I never seen a teenage boy fly & land that hard?" Smokescreen rubbed his back head in never having seen something like that happen before.
"It seem as much a surprise to him as anyone else?" Prowl raised an eyebrow slightly in how that event surprised everyone.
"Hey Shorty, you getting all of this?" Laxtinct asked as he looked at his binoculars while Shorty had a camera record things to display on his labtop screen.
"I have, & I'm trying to run a scan…but I'm not getting anything?" Shorty stated in using any satellite disc. & scanning equipment, but he's got nothing.
"Probably because magic isn't something that can be detected by science." Breakaway shrug off to say much to Shorty's frowning face; he just wishes the place had better equipment was all.
"You guys, I just gotten off the radio to learn how things are going with TRF." Saber Dragoon came out of the cabin to alert those of what he heard.
"Really, well then don't leave us hanging, what happened?" Laxtinct asked in wanting to know what is happening to the world while they have yet to hear anything.
"Well, it isn't good…apparently Cade Yeager escaped in company with not just one other male civilian, but had a girl almost 12 to 14 years old with him. According to what we know, she was the same one with another Transformer, & that Yeager rescued during attacking what they thought was a Decepticon." Saber Dragoon explained what the reports mentioned happened of TRF reports, about Cade Yeager, & other stuff that caught some attention.
"And was it?" Prowl asked in pondering there was more to the story about identifying if the Transformer with the child was Decepticon…or Autobot.
"Unfortunately, it was an Autobot, his name is…or 'was' under the databoard called…Canopy." Saber Dragoon signed to shake his head to regretfully admit the truth.
"Wait. Are you for real, Canopy is…dead?" Smokescreen asked off in shock in having heard this.
"You know him?" Laxtinct raised an eyebrow to ask this.
"Well, he & I go way back. He was my partner in a mission." Smokescreen looked down to mention this to those that wanna hear it. "While on Cybertron, we got taken by Decepticons as prisoners of war, but escaped to arrive in different places here on Earth years later. Having heard back after that." He explained the background story of how he & Canopy knew another, & how they came to this planet afterwards, but haven't seen another for some time.
"I'm sorry for your loss, it's never easy to learn a friend died suddenly." Shorty looked down in grief to hear this, losing a friend in a war torn hunting event is no pleasant matter.
"Gets worse, apparently TRF & everyone we knew, are joined with old enemies outside the Ex-Cobra members: I'm talking about Megatron & the Decepticons." Saber Dragoon pointed out some worse news that really got some attention.
"No way, why would anyone side with the Decepticons after what they done?" Laxtinct protest in not believing that now the Decepticons are helping TRF hunt down their pals; what's the world come to.
"Apparently something big is happening, & Megatron can lead them to some Ultimate Weapon which Cade Yeager has the key for." Saber Dragoon looked serious to mention what he heard that sounds like complexing problems just keep rising one after another.
"We gotta go & help out! Bumblebee & the others might be endanger." Smokescreen suggested to eagerly go help their friends that are in major trouble.
"No! It was hard enough to keep you three under watch, we have to leave everything to those we trust to figure a way out of this. Our mission, is to keep watch, especially since something at this camp has effected those related to magic?" Shorty stopped the young Autobot from making a mistake, knowing they all have to do what they been given while trusting others to handle themselves as best they can.
"I know how you feel Smokescreen, we still don't know how Shadow Dragon's team is fairing in finding more about Nezha. But we'll have to trust they can get by while we do our part." Laxtinct stated in trying to look on the positive then the negative, even if they haven't heard back from their pals, worrying won't help them out.
"Surprising to hear you say that?" Prowl commented to say this with a sly smile.
"Right, this one coming from the guy that was scared of a marshmallow story." Breakaway crack a joke about how freaked out Laxtinct was over a camp fire story.
Laxtinct groans in hearing that while the Autobots let off a little chuckle to help ease their worries, as everything fades out while the day continues to go on…

OUTSIDE OF CAMP EVERFREE
The scene opens to where some of the students sat at tables to work on their paper lanterns while Gloriosa Daisy was standing by the new dock with Principle Celestia & Vice-Principle Luna. The RainBooms & their rest of their gang except Twilight & Spike sat together while the latters were by a separate picnic table.
"Um, Pinkie Pie, what are you doing?" While Rarity was making diamond marks on her paper lantern, she noticed Pinkie Pie working with…marshmallows.
"Putting marshmallows in my lantern. Then when we light them, mine will be beautiful & delicious!" Pinkie Pie smiled eagerly to announce what she's making, a lantern of marshmallows to be…very unique.
"But, won't all of that make it sink?" Goldie asked in thinking a paper object won't be light with heavy stuff weighing it down.
"Come on bro., have a little faith, I got my to be decorated just like hers." Pinkamena smiled off to say in having her own design with marshmallows.
"Mine's got a pretty blue shield. How about your Ben?" Nyx showed her lantern with a blue shield on it.
"Oh, nothing much, just a three gold triangle pattern." Ben shrug off to simply state of what his lantern has of three gold triangles to form a pyramid formation.
"Man, if I had thumbs, I probably could make a cool lantern." Phobos complained a bit in wishing he had something other then paws to work on making lanterns.
While everyone was working on their own lanterns, Spike was with a gloomy Twilight making her paper lantern of the stars & crescent moon images.
"Hey, Twilight, why aren't you with everyone else? I thought you be with Ben at least?" Spike asked off puzzled in why the girl isn't hanging out with her friends or love ones.
"Sunset said something at camp is causing the other girls to get new magic." Twilight explained a bit about what Sunset discussed earlier of everyone they know, is getting new types of magic. "I think it's Midnight Sparkle. She's still part of me. I can feel it." She whispered this out in thinking the cause was her alter-ego of a split side effecting everyone & she feels like Midnight Sparkle is near. "And I think her magic is infecting my friends." She stated in being worried that if Midnight Sparkle is behind this, it's effecting her friends.
"What are we gonna do?" Spike asked off in not knowing how they can approach this.
"I don't know what I can do Spike." Twilight sadly with regret doesn't know how to approach this.
"Okay, everyone! It's time to watch your lanterns fly!" Now Gloriosa Daisy happily announced this by the dock with the principle & vice-principle standing by; as all campers brought their paper lanterns. Everyone smiled in looking forward to let their paper lanterns float on the water. Twilight was the last to follow up the rear, but soon came to meet up with Timber Spruce once more.
"Hey Twilight, cool lantern!" Timber Spruce commented on the girl's lantern, not that Twilight seem to mind or care. "Mine's my face!" The guy held his lantern to cover the face, only to turn it to reveal…a face which made Twilight yelp on seeing such a surprise.
"Guhahahh-huhh…" Twilight saw the guy pull the lantern down to see her make a nervous laugh at his joke. Soon the girl signs before moving away, which made Timber Spruce notice Twilight was…distracted.
"Uh, are you okay?" Timber Spruce asked in sensing there was something bothering the girl that Twilight seemed…down.
"Mm-hmm." Twilight lightly nods to 'hum' a yes that she's oaky; but really she is not but doesn't wanna worry anyone.
"Really, cause…You don't seem like yourself tonight." Timber Spruce stated in noticing that the girl wasn't acting like how Twilight usual is.
Twilight continued to walk as she & Timber Spruce were the last on the dock as everyone waited for them. Soon the candles in the lanterns were lit, giving them a light that glowed. Twilight looked into her own with puzzling curiosity before…she smiled as if that little light helped her feel like it brighten her mood a bit of it's majestic appeal.
"Ready? And... go!" Gloriosa Daisy was giving the countdown before signaling everyone to….begin.
Soon every student lifts their paper lanterns that were lit into the sky, each with it's own decorative design & marvelous view that represents everyone. Pinkie Pie toss her paper lantern of a flower with a marshmallow design, but it was too heavy to float & fell on the ground 'splat' much to everyone's notice & the pink girl cringing of what happened.
"Aw! Oh, well! Now I get to eat it!" Pinkie Pie pouted that her marshmallow lantern didn't float off with the others, but perked up in realizing what she can do. "Chomps!" And yep, the girl was literally eating the marshmallows off her lantern. "Yep, beautiful & delicious." She proudly declared in seeing that it's a thing of beauty, & great taste all in one; as everyone just let Pinkie Pie…be Pinkie Pie.
"You said it!" Pinkamena replied off in also enjoying her lantern that didn't go up, but enjoyed the marshmallows on it.
"I wonder about their obsessions of marshmallows?" Goldie raise an eyebrow in seeing the two pink random girls eat more marshmallows.
"Yeah, hopefully it won't turn into that story you told. What do you think Ben…Ben?" Flash commented to say at first, until he saw Ben didn't pay attention.
"Hugh, um, yeah…?" Ben slightly responded, but his focus was seeing Twilight smiled & with Timber Spruce nearby; she was sad, now she's happy, what was this telling him?
Everyone else continues to watch the other paper lanterns float off into the night sky over the lake with the stars & the moon out tonight. It was a sight to behold in which many could feel at aw of seeing their works lit up the night sky.

NIGHTTIME AT GIRLS' TENT GROUND…
The scene changes to the girl's tent site of where it was nighttime, & everyone would be asleep at this time. Sunset was seen sleeping peacefully in her bed, until she opened her eyes to lightly gasp awake; & notice across from her…Twilight's bed & even Spike's bed were empty.
"Twilight?" Sunset called out in seeing her friend was not in; as she peaks out of her tent, noticed Twilight with a backpack running out with Spike following. "Twilight!" She yelped out in seeing what was going on before going back in the tent. "Where is she going?" Sunset came out, changing into her daytime cloths & got her shoes on to run after her friend.
Sunset ran off to the woods to pursuit after her friend. Twilight ran in one direction, Sunset ran into a spot to stop & look for her friend. Then suddenly, she heard a rustling pass some bushes.
"Twilight!" Sunset called out in having made Twilight cease movement in…having been caught to turn around with a guilt-written expression. "What are you doing out here in the middle of the night?" She asked in why the girl was out in the woods, & at night.
"Um, going to look at stares?" Twilight sheepishly tried to use this as an excuse, but…
"Without a telescope, that isn't like you. Tell me what's REALLY going on?" Sunset raised an eyebrow in narrowing them in asking for the truth.
"We're...we're meeting a cab to take us home." Twilight sheepishly smile to express what she & Spike were planning to do, get a cabby to take them home.
Sunset thought that was weird before looking down at Spike for what this was about.
"She thought you'd talk her out of it." Spike explained that Twilight was afraid that Sunset talk the girl out of leaving camp.
"Yeah! Because I would." Sunset firmly stated she would have talk Twilight out of leaving, much to the girl's worried concern. "Twilight listen, you can't leave." Sunset issued off to express a matter of concern of Twilight wanting to leave, as she reach to grab her friend's wrist.
But suddenly, Sunset yelped as a flash brighten her eyes, much to Twilight's surprise in seeing…something was happening. There was like some…sun-set color void spiraling around before images of the past came into picture.

TWILIGHT'S PAST MEMORY…
"You don't think it was the spirit, do you?!" Pinkie Pie was seen asking this off near Trixie about Gaea Everfree having done the deed.
"No, it was me." Twilight sadly exclaimed to say this as she looked down in depression to leave the scene from feeling guilt.
Then another scene reveals another event that occurred…
"I think it's Midnight Sparkle. She's still part of me. I can feel it. And I think her magic is infecting my friends." Twilight was seen talking to Spike in expressing her worried fears of what was going on & fears she's effecting everyone with new magic by her 'other' self.

END MEMORY SCENE…?
Soon the flashing eye sights began to fad out as Sunset lets go of Twilight's hand in having absorbed all of what happened while her friend was not sure what happened.
"Twilight, there's no Midnight Sparkle. There's only you." Sunset expressed her thoughts to smile in cheering her friend up over her worries; but hearing that made Twilight yelp for alarm.
"What the? How did you know what I was thinking?" Twilight yelps a bit to ask how Sunset knew what she was thinking about this whole time, she never said anything to her friend about Midnight Sparkle, etc.
"When I touched your hand, I could see things. I could understand why you were leaving." Sunset explained the basic theory of what she did that she was able to understand Twilight by seeing things as what Twilight saw & felt about. "Hugh, wait…could this be?" Suddenly, the girl paused in realizing something major of what just occurred. "My new magic...! This is my new magic! This is incredible!" Sunset smiled in realizing what her new magic is like, she's able to read other people's thoughts & feelings by a touch contact; at last, she's discovered her new magical ability.
"No, it's not! Now I'm infecting you now!" Twilight protest with concern & over-fearing worry that now she's effecting another of her friends all because of…
"Twilight, you have to stop looking at this as a bad thing." Sunset expressed her concern to calmly have Twilight not see them receiving new magic abilities as all bad.
"Easy for you to say. Magic turned you into something beautiful." Twilight protest in stating a matter of when she saw Sunset, the great forces of magic from the Friendship Games made the girl become Daylight Shimmer. "The last time I tried to use it, it turned me into a monster." Twilight expressed her worries & thoughts that when she got that great magical power, she was corrupted into an evil side of herself; thus was born as Midnight Sparkle. "I'm just so afraid it's gonna happen again." Twilight came clean about herself, fearing that she'll lose control of who she is & be turn into a monster by magic she can't control.
"Yes, last time I turned into something amazing, but I've let magic turn me into a monster, too. During the Fall Formal." Sunset expressed herself in knowing that during the Friendship Games, she was turn into Daylight Shimmer, but long before that, she let evil wicked thoughts turn her into She-Demon; Demonic Sunset Shimmer. "So if anyone understands what you're going through, it's me." She exclaimed that she knows all too well what Twilight went through, as they can relate. "I can help you, Twilight. And the rest of our friends can be there for you, too. But not if you run away." She expressed this to sound very concern to help poor Twilight get helped to overcome what bothers her.
"Hugh…alright, I'll stay." Twilight signs to turn around to admit she'll stay which cheered Sunset up to hear. "But I still don't think it's a good idea for me to be near the rest of our friends right now. Not even being close to Nyx & Ben. At least, not until we know why this is happening." She exclaimed that she doesn't wanna be near rest of their friends until they solve why they acquired new magic at this camp sight.
"Understood." Sunset nods in understanding the request of her friend.
Suddenly, there was a rustling from some bushes nearby that made Sunset yelp with wide eyes.
"What was that?!" Sunset asked off in being on guard, someone else was here with them.
Then nearby, the girls noticed…AN AXE!
"AAAahhhhh!" Twilight & Sunset screamed like, well, girls screaming from seeing a killer axeman in the woods out to get them.
"WAAAaughhhh!" Then the axeman was revealed to be Timber Spruce who screamed in surprise by the girls scream before… "Wa-Wait. Twilight?" Then the guy calms down to notice who was here, was the girl he's seen at camp was out here.
The girls calmed down in still recovering from freaking out that, a killer axeman of the woods, was just Timber.
"Timber? Few, I'm so glad it's just you!" Twilight expressed relief in seeing that it wasn't some killer, but the guy they know from Camp Everfree. "Wait a second, what are you doing out here?" Then something cross the smart girl's mind to being curious of why the guy was here.
"With an axe no less?" Sunset had her arms cross to remotely point out, the guy was out in the woods, at night, wielding an axe: seems suspicious.
Timber Spruce looked down to see he was wielding an axe which the girls wanted to know…why he had it with him.
"Oh, well I was chopping down firewood." Timber Spruce sheepishly made a smile while pulling in a cart full of chop lumber to be used for fire wood.
"Chopping firewood? In the middle of the night?" Sunset continued to push on her question on demand of whoever heard of chopping down for firewood at night.
"We needed more for tomorrow night's campfire." Timber Spruce shrug off to state that he had to get more of this for the camp fire they would have tomorrow. "And if I didn't take care of it tonight, it would be one more thing Gloriosa would add to her list." The guy chop the axe in the logs to remotely state with a frown in what his sister would do if they didn't have things all set. "I've got this!" He made an imitation of Gloriosa Daisy in sounding like her in having the problem task under control.
Twilight chuckled under her breath as Timber laugh inside at how it was a funny imitation; but Sunset wasn't buying it.
"But enough about that. What about you two? Why are you hanging out in the woods in the middle of the night?" Then Timber Spruce got serious from joking around to ask his question; which Sunset & Twilight got worried in how to answer that.
"Oh! I was sleepwalking. Twilight found me & was bringing me back to camp." Sunset quickly made up an excuse to hug her pal in stating who helped her out of a sleep walking phase, which the smart girl smiled to it.
"Mm-hmm." Twilight nods with a smile in giving that a 'yes' response, as that was their excuse to go along with. "We were about to turn back, but…we thought a crazy axe-man was about to jump us, &…eheh…?" She was pointing off to Timber's axe in when the girls saw him, they jump to a scary conclusion.
"Oh-OH, right…it's almost like one of those crazy Jason themes? Sorry again for that." Timber Spruce slightly yelped in realizing his mistake in how this seem, & apologized for doing that by accident.
"No problem." Twilight replied off in accepting the apology.
"Well…Come on. I'll walk you guys back." Timber Spruce pointed a thumb in the general direction to help lead the girls back to camp. "So don't threat, I'll protect you from….Gaea Everfree! Everfree! Everfree!" Then when coming across the name, he made a spooky action & made some repeated motions & wiggling fingers to give it that spooky theme before stopping to smile with arms cross
"Come on. Knock it off Timber. That's obviously just a spooky story you made up to tell around the campfire." Sunset smiled off to wave off that topic as that was just a scary story the guy made up to scare everybody.
"Oh, no. It's legit." Timber Spruce firmly expressed the matter that the existence of Gaea Everfree is the real thing for the girls to take in. "How else would you explain what happened at the docks? And that weird thing where the earth shook?" The guy explained the topic on the weird stuff that happened, was all done by the work of 'Gaea Everfree' for those here to accept. "Come on now. I know a shortcut back to the tents." The guy held out a hand to help take the girls back to their tents.
Twilight smiled to accept Timber's thoughtful efforts to aid them out of the woods. Sunset seem a bit firm & stern about the whole Gaea Everfree tall tale the guy let off as if it's true. But the girl saw glowing dust sparkling to fall on the ground. That's when Sunset saw it was coming out of…Timber's pocket.
"Legit, huh? Spike, I think we just found our "Gaea Everfree" here." Sunset made a sly smile to inspect the glowing dust trail to tell Spike…who is responsible for the actions being done by one 'Gaea Everfree' to take the blame.
"Really, Timber? But why would he work so hard to make us think she was real?" Spike asked off in not knowing, why Timber Spruce would make the legend be real.
"You heard what he said about wishing his sister would sell this camp, right." Sunset pointed off in recalling what Timber Spruce was issuing to his sister Gloriosa Daisy to consider doing. "If nobody wants to come here because it's home to some angry ancient nature spirit, it sure would help his cause." She frown a bit in thinking that Timber wants folks to keep in mind the angry spirit of Gaea Everfree that haunts the woods, & would force campers to not come to shut down the whole camp altogether.
"Hugh, I see what you mean…We should tell Twilight." Spike exclaimed to say in thinking Twilight should know this.
"Not yet. She's obviously going through a lot right now." Sunset stops Spike from telling Twilight who is currently experiencing a lot of stuff that's been happening to her & on this trip with magic involved. "We should probably be a hundred percent sure before we tell her the guy she likes is a jerk who's trying to run everybody out of camp." As she stood up, she knew that they need hard facts that Twilight's new friend might be a jerk trying to shutdown the whole camp ground.
"Uh-huh!" Spike replied off with a wagging of his tail to agree to that.
The scene begins to blur out about now in ending the events that have taken place here…
