Regina burst through the surface of the water, hearing only the screams of terrified people in pain. There was so much screams that she couldn't hear anything else.

She was warm-natured like many that lived in Maine. It always snowed during the winter in Maine. Some nights the temperature was as low as 0 Fahrenheit. They were used to the cold, but not this much. The water felt horrible. The pain was unbearable. It felt like a thousand knives stabbed her. She didn't even feel like swimming, her body hurt so much.

She screamed as loud as she could. Her hope was to find Emma or Killian but she knew she wouldn't find them. There were too many in the water to count. And even if they were near her, they couldn't hear her. She didn't want to die alone. Neither did Killian or Emma. She had to find them. Regina didn't know how long she had to survive, all she knew was she didn't have long and neither did Emma or Hook. She was hurting badly. The water was excruciating. It was the worst physical pain she ever felt. All she wished was her body to go numb soon.

She screamed for Emma and Killian as loud as she could. "Emma! Killian!" She repeated. She kept her body moving by swimming but knew if she didn't find something to hold onto soon, she would drown. When her body goes numb, it would be extremely hard to swim.

As she searched the area, amid the screaming people, she saw something from a distance. She used enough energy to swim to it. It was a floating wooden door.

Regina realized she would have enough room to get on the board and stay out of the water. She was now able to stay as much out of the water as possible. She tried her best to pull herself on. After a few tries she got on it, her whole body was now fully out of the cold water. But Emma and Killian weren't out. They were probably still in the freezing cold water.

The lifeboat David was in, now had spotted another boat close by and met with it. They almost had as much people as them so they couldn't transfer anyone. The officer called back to all the boats. "Lifeboats, over here!" He waved his hands together until eventually about five boats came. "I want all the women and children transfer in this boats to that boat right now! We need some men in this boat now so we can go back. We got to go back!" David jumped into the boat that was going to search for survivors. Suddenly, he heard a voice. Henry's voice.

"Grandpa!"

"Henry!" He screamed back to him. Henry jumped into the boat with him. The officers tried to stop him but Henry refused to leave. Both Henry and David along with a few others were returning to save as many lives as possible from the dark and cold ocean.

Killian screamed out, loudly. "Emma!" Hook had to find his love. He couldn't have her be alone, not when the cold was this harsh. He couldn't imagine her suffering alone. "Emma!" He repeated. He glanced at each and every person he could find, hoping and praying it would be her. As time went on, Killian got more and more worried for her. He knew he had to find her before it was too late.

Far away, he could see a spot where someone was laying. He had a strong gut feeling to go over there. He hoped it would be Emma, but it wasn't. It was Regina, laying on a large board, staying afloat from the water. "Regina!" He called out to her.

She leaned over to see him and instantly hopped off the floating object. "Killian!" She replied back as she swam to him and hugged him. Hook felt her shivering from the cold, and her teeth chattering. "G-g-glad to see y-you, guyliner."

"I h-haven't found Emma yet. I need to l-l-look for her. Stay out of the water. I'll f-find her!" He was shivering even worse than Regina was. He had been in the water way longer than she was. His teeth chattered just like hers. Each time they exhaled, they saw their breath come out of their mouths.

Many screamed throughout the water. Regina and Killian could hear a man and a woman yell out. "For God's sake!" The woman screamed.

"Please!" The man yelled after her. "Help us!" But there was no help. No boat was even in the area to come.

An officer blew a whistle as he held onto an object to keep from drowning. "Return the boats!"

"The l-lifeboats are c-coming back r-r-right? T-they wouldn't j-just l-l-leave hundreds here to d-die." Regina asked Killian.

Killian stared into Regina's eyes. "Yes. T-they w-will come back, love. B-but it will be too l-late for all of us. Now I'm finding, Emma." He told Regina and then swam ahead to search for Emma. He screamed her name repeatedly but she never answered.

Every second, he became weaker. Soon, he wouldn't have enough strength to carry on. Eventually he would get so numb that he couldn't swim anymore.

Regina got on the board again, laid on her back, and rested her eyes. She tried her best to ignore what pain she felt. Her whole body began to feel numb. The pain started to go away finally. The thought of getting hypothermia in the freezing ocean scared her. What scared her the most though, was that the screams started to quiet down. Every moment more people were unconscious or died from the harshness of the ocean.
