The Mystery Machine was driving down a road and Tom turned to Sonic and said, "Okay pal, we want answers. Who are you? WHAT are you?"

"I'm a hedgehog, I feel like that's obvious." Sonic said. "And i'm in big trouble." he added

"You think you're in trouble? You aren't the one who kicked some sort of Government weirdo back there." Daphne said

"You think that's a problem?! I lost my rings." Sonic said

"Like, what even are those rings for anyways? We only saw one for a few seconds."Shaggy said

"Okay, rings are how all advanced cultures travel between worlds. And now, mine are on a pointy building in San Francisco I have only ever seen on Doughnut Lord's skintight t-shirt." Sonic said

Daphne had pulled The Mystery Machine to the side of the road as the check engine light was blinking and Tom opened the far side passenger door and Daphne got out and started to check the engine.

"Okay, out you go." Tom said

"What?" Sonic said in confusion

"Look, this is literally the worst possible time for me to get into trouble, okay? You asked me to save your life, I saved your life. Now,go find your rings and your mushroom-land. Hopefully, we're all gonna wake up in a hospital room and our doctors are gonna tell us or colonoscopy was a success, okay?" Tom said

"Okay, i'm totally fine with saying goodbye now." Sonic said as he got out but didn't leave

Why aren't you leaving?" Tom asked

"I don't know where San Francisco is." Sonic said

"It's west." Shaggy answered

"West?" Sonic asked

"Straight shot, can't miss it." Tom said before Sonic took off running

Daphne closes the engine and gets back into The Mystery Machine just as Sonic comes running back soaking wet and covered in seaweed and with a fish on his head.

"SO, as I crashed into the cold, dark, water of the Pacific, I realized a few things. A, I have no idea where i'm going. B, Salt water STINKS! C, I shouldn't even be on this planet right now but I am. Why? Because you shot me." Sonic said

"I know." Tom said

"YOU SHOT ME!" Sonic repeated

"I heard you the first time, you don't have to...pile it on, good grief." Tom stated

"I'm wet. I'm cold. There's a FISH ON MY HEAD! And clearly, i'm not gonna be able to do this on my own." Sonic said

Tom looked at Sonic as the fish fell off of his head.

Tom sighed and said, "Alright, get in the van."

"Really? You're gonna help me?" Sonic said as he shook himself dry and his quills and fur were all poofed up like an afro.

"I guess it is a little bit my fault all this is happening to you." Tom said

"Not a little bit. Entirely. It is entirely your fault." Sonic quickly stated

"Okay,it's entirely my fault, are you coming?" Tom asked

"Yes." Sonic answered as he shook his head and the hair and quills were back to the position they were in before

Sonic climbed back into The Mystery Machine and closed the passenger door behind him.

"Road trip? Whoop-whoop!" Sonic said

Daphne sighed as she started The Mystery Machine back up and drove off.

"Okay, during this road trip, we're gonna have to set down a few rules. Do exactly as we say. Every time if it has to do with safety and not getting spotted." Daphne said

"Got it, Purple Diva." Sonic said

Daphne tried to keep in her anger and said, "Please, stop with that nickname, we have actual names. i'm Daphne."

"My name is Tom." Tom added

"And like, i'm Shaggy. The dog back here is Scooby." Shaggy finished

"I'm Sonic." Sonic said

"Sonic...Sonic...Sonic..." Tom said to himself

"So you've been spying on all of us for years?" Daphne asked

"I mean, I wouldn't really call it spying, it was more like we were hanging out but I was never invited and no one knew I was there." Sonic answered

"I can't believe Crazy Carl as right this whole time." Tom said

"Yeah, you should call him 'Super Observant' Carl instead." Sonic stated

"Hey Daph? What's medium sized, round, white, and has a laser in it's frontal area and can fly?" Shaggy asked looking out the back door

"Don't tell me one of those drones is following us..." Daphne said

Tom looked out the passenger seat after having Sonic swap spots with him and saw that one of Robotnik's drones was following them.

"I hate to say it, Daphne, but they are talking about one of Robotnik's drones." Tom said

"Oh great. Well, here we go!" Daphne said as she switched on the radio

As Daphne hit the gas pedal, some rock music played on the radio.

Shaggy and Scooby fell to the floor in the back of The Mystery Machine and Sonic went over the seat and into the back.

"Daphne, you do know that you are breaking the speed limit, right?" Tom said

"Yes, Tom, I am aware. This kind of thing happens to us all the time!" Daphne responded as she took a sharp left turn onto a long wooden bridge

Scooby and Shaggy grabbed a box of rocks and Sonic kicked the back door open. Scooby and Shaggy started throwing the rocks at the drone but the drone shot each one destroying them mid air.

"Like, what n the hell is this guy using for his drones?!" Shaggy yelled

Shaggy and Scooby shut the door just as a rocket got launched and The Mystery Machine was sent flying over some road construction workers from the explosion of the rocket. The whole time that was happening, Shaggy, Scooby, Sonic, and Tom were screaming. After The Mystery Machine landed back on the road, it was still for a second before it took off again with the drone following right behind.

"We can't seem to lose him! What do we do?" Sonic said

IN ROBOTNIK'S TRUCK BACK IN GREEN HILLS

Robotnik's truck was still in Green Hills at the moment. He pressed a few buttons on the hologram keyboard he had in front of him that kept the drones flying. He was clearly upset at the fact these 5 were able to easily avoid him in a 70s vehicle.

BACK IN THE MYSTERY MACHINE

Daphne looked out the window at the drone.

"Jeepers!" Daphne shouted as she pulled her head back into the van dodging a laser

Somehow, The Mystery Machine's doors got opened back up again. Sonic hid in a box out of sight but Scooby and Shaggy couldn't hide anywhere in The Mystery Machine. Scooby and Shaggy gulped.

"Like, what do we do?!" Shaggy had to yell over the wind

"I don't know!" Tom answered

Out of nowhere, Scooby ended up on the road and on his side. He quickly got up and saw the drone aiming right at him. He was paralyzed with fear. He didn't know what to do. He suddenly felt this unknown energy flow through his body as some brown colored electricity shocked the robot as Scooby took off running back to The Mystery Machine and the drone fell to the ground.

Daphne shut off the radio as Shaggy and Sonic closed the back doors. Scooby was shaken up from all of what just happened.

Later, after it went dark, The Mystery Machine pulled into a reserved parking space as Tom put on a hat and Daphne put on a purple jacket and everyone got out of The Mystery Machine after giving Sonic a disguise like a mini colored swapped version of Shaggy's clothes and a pair of small glasses.

"Okay, you stay here, i'm gonna go talk to Wade at the payphone." Daphne said

"Okay, got it." Sonic said as Daphne walked off to the payphone

Daphne put in the amount she had to pay and went to call Wade. After a minute or so, he answered.

"Hey, Wade." Daphne said

"Hey, Mrs. Blake. So um, these dudes came into the Green Hills Police Station asking a few questions. They're like people from Men In Black and have suits on but aren't as likable or charming as Will Smith" Wade replied

"What kind of questions?" Daphne asked

"I don't know, something about terrorism." Wade responded

"Oh god, listen, Wade, this is very important. DO NOT tell them we talked okay?" Daphne said

After a few seconds of silence, Wade said, "You know what, I think they already know."

She heard Robotnik's voice come over the phone.

"Hello, Mrs. Blake." Robotnik said in a shaky voice

"Oh great,what do you want?" Daphne said not seeming very happy about him being there

"I'll have you know the only ever person to hit me in the face was a school bully. He punched me right in the face causing a blood-forced contusion surrounding the orbital bone. And you know hat I did in response?" Robotnik asked

"I'm assuming you reported him to the principle cause that ind of behavior is unacceptable." Daphne answered

"Wrong. I observed the deficiency of a world where brain trumped bran and used that deficiency to it's full potential. He ate his meals through a straw for a YEAR. I never lost a fight again. Until today." Robotnik stated

"Hooray, lucky me, I guess." Daphne said

"NO! Cause your about to become the bully! With the straw! I'm coming for you, Mrs. Daphne Blake, and when I find you, i'll-" Robotnik started before Daphne hung up and sat back down with Tom, Shaggy, Scooby, and Sonic.

"This dude just keeps on trying to find us, doesn't he?" Shaggy said
