"What's going on Lucy?" She exhales

"I think I'm stepping down after this term as DA"

I. Am. Shocked.

"Really? Why? That's your dream?" I say turning back to look at her, she stands next to me and looks out at the club.

"I feel like life is passing me by San, I thought it was what i wanted and for a while it was but now," she exhales and puts her head down

.

"I just want to be with my baby girls and be happy"

.

"With Biff?" she shakes her head

.

"No san, we've been separated for a while now, he has a girlfriend. We had a prenup so everything is pretty much taken care of, we are pretty amicable we'll have joint custody"

.

"How are you so casual about this Q? Your marriage is over.."

.

I ask trying to gauge her emotions, she likes to play it cool but she's crumbling inside.

She shrugs

.

"Honestly San its been a while coming, I can't be sad, we had our time but neither of us are in love with each other, I'm not sure we ever were."

"Well I'm always here Q you know that, anything you and the girls need". I say stepping up to her

.

"I know San, you've always been my strength "

.

That makes me smile so wide my face hurts

.

She takes my hand "It's going to take me sometime but maybe we can try again, I mean if you want too? I know you've got Britt now"

I take a step back and sit down in my chair

"I've always loved you Luce but I'm happy with Britt right now" her face drops

.

"I understand San, I can't expect you to drop everything for me just because it's convenient for me."

.

I look up at her and nod "I'll tell you what Q, get your ducks in a row, spend some time with the munchkins and when you're ready, you come find me" she exhales and smiles as she turns to leave my office

.

"Besides" I say causing her to turn back and look at me.

"You're Quinn Fabray and she always gets what she wants right?"

I wink at her, she blows me a kiss as she leaves me office.

I lean back in my chair staring at the ceiling, tonight ended a lot different than I expected.

"Whoa!" I hear behind me as I make my way back downstairs to the bar

"Shut it Jack, I fell asleep in my office"

.

"Yeah sure" He starts laughing, I roll my eyes

"Hey Quinn said to give this to you?" He hands me a piece of paper i immediately smile

"I knew I shoulda read it first!" Jack says as I laugh

"Thank you Jack see you later!" I wave as I make my way to the lobby.

I get in my car and finally head home. I take a shower, throw on some sweats and scan through the takeout menu because today I am relaxing. No distractions, just a me day. I order my food, turn my phone off and turn my music up. I take a few hours and begin to clean my loft, I hear the buzzer so I buzz them in, I grab the food sit down and turn on Netflix. After a few hours I decide to do something I haven't done in a while, I turn the tub on light some candles and relax.
