8. They Saved Me

Umberto woke up with a muscle ache in his upper thighs and hips. "Jesus...they went down that hard?" He thought. He tried to stand up, but something around his neck was holding him down. He feels around his neck, and it felt like cold steel. He turned around, and saw that a chain held him to the wall. "What the...huh?" He blurted out. He was captured, again, but his captor wasn't here. He started gazing around his room, looking for something to break the chain with.

He noticed a jagged sharp point of concrete in his cell, connected to one of his cell walls. He noticed it, and carried a section of his chains, and walked over to the concrete point. He lifted it up, and slammed the chain against the point, breaking it. With the chain broken, the other section connected to his neck clamp disconnected. He opened his cell door, and walked out.

The ship looked a bit more tiny to him at least, the hallways were around 9 feet tall, and the doorways were 7'2" inches tall. He was basically mindlessly exploring. He was turning random hallways, attempting to find the exit. He felt as if something was watching him, so every 5 minutes or so, he looked behind his shoulder, but he only saw the hallway he walked in. The hallways were lit up with bright white lights, which were slowly driving him mad.

As he walked to a door with light flooding through its cracks, it was being forced open. He heard bashing from the other side. They got harder and harder from each hit, until finally, it broke down. It didn't fly back a few feet, instead it just flopped down after being removed from its hinges. Umberto quickly scanned the predator who kicked it down. It was...it was Bloodhound! He felt a sense of relief, but also a sense of dread.

He dug his feet in feet in anticipation, expecting her to tackle him or something along the sort. As expected, she sprinted towards him. But she didn't tackle him or drug him. Instead, she picked him up, exposing the 12 inch height difference between the two, and was hugging him tightly and purring. "Yeah...it's nice to see you too..." Umberto said in exertion. "God, I thought I lost you forever..." Bloodhound blurted out. After around 10 minutes of hugging, she put Umberto down, kneeling to look him in the eyes through her bio mask. "Did she hurt you?" Bloodhound asked, full of worry. "No, no she didn't...and who is 'she'?".

Bloodhound paused. "Who I'm talking about is Conquerant...she specialises in whip weaponry." "Oh really?" He paused. "So...what now?" Bloodhound paused. "Quickly, we have to leave, before she returns." Umberto nodded. "We have to go separate ways, or else she'll be suspicious..." "Alright, alright. I think I'm a fast runner.". And with that, Bloodhound jumped into the trees, cloaking. Umberto jogged into the jungle, listening for flowing water. He slowly picked up the sound of a river, and changed his course to where the sound was coming from.

Later, he reached the river, and stayed on it's banks. He was jogging along it, trying to find his camp. Seconds turned into minutes. Minutes turned into hours. Umberto suspected something was watching him, but he didn't know what. Later, he looked up into the sky, and saw smoke bellowing into it. That was his camp! Or at least he thought.

After around 15 minutes, he reached the source of the smoke. It wasn't his camp. It was a smoke bomb. He wondered if it was to lead him here. Next to the grenade, there was a rifle. His rifle. His eyes lit up as he jogged to his gun. He grabbed his guy's handle and barrel grip. "Hello beautiful..." He blurted out. He grabbed his gun tight, and stood up straight. He heard a heavy thud behind him, and he instantly turned around to face them.

It was the same predator that chained him, or rather, Whiplash. They were shorter than him, around 6'7". "Who are you?" He asked. "Your best nightmare." She responded. "What do you want from me?" He asked. "A companion. Someone to spend time with." She pauses. "Maybe a mate, or lover~...". Umberto sighs. "So, you got me here, what now?" "That's for me to decide~...". Umberto started backing up. He expected her to bound him, maybe abduct him again, he didn't really know.

As he backed up, she started following him. "Stay away from me." Umberto commanded firmly. It appeared that she ignored him. She reached to her side, as Umberto saw that, he turned around and ran as fast he could. He didn't know where he was going. He was going anywhere from here. Anywhere away from her. He was going as fast his legs could take him, as he heard her darting through the trees. Trying to juke her, he turned a corner and found an abandoned facility. It looked like a military installation.

He ran inside, darting through the hallways with no direction. He jumped into a room beside him, and slammed the door behind him. Locking it, he scans around the room. It looked like a simple bedroom. A bed, desk, window, sink, and calendar. He approached the calendar, seeing two weeks of the month highlighted in red. Above the highlight, it's captioned with "Female Yautja Breeding Season". "Son of a bitch..." He mumbled.

He knew that she followed him into the facility, so he turned to the door which he entered, and aimed his rifle. He saw the chain she used as a weapon pierce through the door like butter, ripping it out. She continued a few times, before kicking it down. He saw Whiplash enter the room, not rushing him at all. "I'm trying to save you, from them." She yelled. "So you're not trying to rape me at all?" "Of course not! I already have pups at home." She answers.
