Jon was still sitting, watching Harry's joy on hearing about his father in mild amusement. 'Let's snip that rose in the bud.'
"Before I talk about the younger Potter battles, I must tell you some of my family history and of the roles they played.
"Now In the Black family, Lord Grandfather Arcturus was the oldest of five the other four being- Cygnus, Walburga, Orion and the youngest but then deceased, Ivy. Arcturus had no children and his wife had passed away. Cygnus, his ambitious brother, had three daughters- Andromeda, Bellatrix and Narcissa and lived in the Black Manor.
"Grandfather said he fucked Great Aunt Doreah Selwyn hard enough to shake the house, all day, everyday until his seed took hold within and she gave him a daughter. Then he started again until Bellatrix and then Narcissa was born. And angry for still not giving him his heir, he would spank her and slap her across the face and take her from behind again and again, until her magic inploded on her and she broke her mind sometime after Andromeda's birth.
The Selwyns had no cause for including an abuse clause when they were getting so much prestige from marrying into Blacks and fucking so hard had broken her womb so his seed never took hold again. Thus numb to the world, she didn't even notice the pain she was put through.
Andromeda (Hogwarts 1962-69), the firstborn had chestnut brown hair and hazel eyes. When she heard the cries and screams of her mother repeatedly sound throughout the manor, she grew to hate her father and his house. To be free of him, Aunt Andy happily broke house tradition and married Ted Tonks, a muggleborn who was deep in love with her, easy to keep in line and most importantly the love of her life. She became a lawyer while her husband was a mind healer for St. and though Cygnus tried to have her thrown out of the family for this, Arcturus refused him.
Bellatrix (Hogwarts 1964-71), the secondborn had curly jet black hair and cloudy grey eyes. By the time she began retaining memories she never saw her mother feel anything at her treatment but only saw the satisfaction on her father's face. She never learnt of the wrongness of her mother's abuse and began copying her father's behaviour.
Narcissa (Hogwarts 1966-73), the thirdborn had straight Ash blonde hair and clear soft pink eyes. By the time she began noticing things, her mother was most happy to be dominated and on seeing that Cissy decided to try and emulate her. When Bella noticed, she requested her father to allow Cissy to follow them as they used her mother.
"In fact she even subverted the abuse she'd grown up with on her own father, who she forced to see his place, by torturing him to see her might.
"And so it went on and on in the halls of the Black manor until, if you visited in a month, you wouldn't know which of her parents were brought down first.
"Bellatrix initially wanted to follow the Dark Lady Artemisia but was called off after a day long discussion with Lord Grandfather in which he congratulated her on showing her parents their place below the mud on her boots but told her she'd no longer be a Black if she bent on her knees for a Dark Lady who got her Aunt Ivy killed."
So she acquiesced that she'd remain neutral.
"Narcissa, meanwhile, grew in the shadow of her sister to go on to become the Ice Queen of Slytherin. Boys wanted her, girls wanted to be her. When Lucius Malfoy expressed his desire to court Aunt Cissy, Bella dragged him and her to an empty classroom, shut the door and showed to him how it was going to be.
"What followed was eight hours of pain and pleasure for Lucius, one so intense that the next day, in the middle of the Great Hall, Lucius proposed to Narcissa on both his knees, prostating before her. Lucius' father Abraxus and elder brother Nautilus protested against his decision.
"Arcturus declared a blood feud, with Lucius under the Black sanctuary, and challenged House Malfoy to an Honour Duel, the winner to become tha vassal of the loser. 7th year Bellatrix then soundly thrashed both in a public duel, beheaded Abraxas, and captured Nautilus.
"Then they vanished with Lucius and Narcissa into the Black manor, where he was shown what he was going to be, repeatedly, by his brother, and the sisters Black. When 'she' returned to the world, 7 weeks later, 'she' happily announced the engagement of Lord Lucius of House Malfoy, devoted servants to the Blacks.
" 'She' introduced herself as Natalia Malfoy, dressed as she was, in a maid's uniform, the head of cleaning staff in the manor, her silky hair in a ponytail, not a hair below her neck. Lady Artemisia sent Bellatrix a dozen dozen bouquets of crystal blood red roses in appreciation.
"Narcissa felt that Bellatrix had done too much for her and that she should now marry first as Andromeda had already done. Bella, though she regularly dominated her baby sister, she found it hard to deny her anything. So, she cornered the Lestrange brothers, fucked them good and married both of them for good measure, though with them both declared her consorts.
"When their father, Lord Antonil Lestrange protested, Arcturus sent him a bottle of vintage wine as dowry ...and Abraxas' skull to drink it in. He quieted down. Surprisingly, Antonil died in his bed a day after drinking the wine.
The next day Lord Rodulphus Lestrange abdicated his seat in favor of his Lady wife. He became Lord consort instead.
"The brothers were unable to attend the funeral due to 'pressing needs.' Happily, nine months later Vega Lyra Lestrange was born in late winter of '75, helping the family 'cum' out of its grief.
"Those who saw her would say she too much looked like Bellatrix, that there wasn't a shadow of the Lestranges in her. They would be correct. For Narcissa, for example, Vega was both neice and sister. (Taking Tojours pur to a whole another level.)
"Andromeda too remained close to her sisters through the years but they didn't
have the same connection (cough kinkysex cough). Bellatrix and her husbands joined the Aurors with Andromeda as their Wizengamot proxy. Narcissa Malfoy allowed Lucius to do his Lordly duties. They moved to Malfoy manor post graduation and she gave birth to Lucretia in November 1977, who was in a way her sister too. She would later go on to clone Lucius with Draco Malfoy.
"Andy had a daughter with Ted in 1973, who she named Nymphadora. Narcissa laughed so hard, she cried. Natalia now served as a maid to Lucius and Cissy.
"I have just described the whole family dynamic of the older half the Blacks. Think and tell me what you infer from this madness thats my family."
Harry answered frankly, "Other than the inappropriateness of whatever we're talking about as we are FUCKING six year olds ,why did you remember how SHE felt?"
Jon just held up his left hand. On its index finger, there rested a thin jet black band. It was so Black in fact, that it seemed to absorb all the colour from its surroundings. Jon's eyes were suddenly downcast and Ghost, sleeping now after such a long talk, suddenly woke and raised its head.
Jon spoke in a somber tone.
"Lord Grandfather is dead. He made me heir before he died, ...before he sent me away. This ring, The Ring of Lords Black for centuries past then appeared on my index finger about two months ago. ...And I knew he'd passed on."
Harry said in wonder, "...Lord Black... You're the lord of this family... Thankful not to be you, Jon."
Jon was looking up now. His eyes, storm grey, shone in the approaching dawn, suddenly filled with rage.
"I pity myself too. I must sacrifice most of happiness to duty and keep leading this insane family while trying to stop my insane country from self destructing itself. And I must live on and on until another Black of Storm Grey is born to take this burden from me.
"This little black hoop brings with it the might, the name, the financial resources and responsibilities of the house of Black. I told you of the seven Potter towns, remember? The Black have six.
"Black Mason is a town you go to when you need to get homes built and repaired,
Black Hovel, Deep End and Scylla are our three dwelling towns, the poorest in Britain,
Black Whores houses our famous brothels,
Black Centre is a small unplottable town we force squibs to maintain for storing illegal items and holding meetings for the house."
"The Potters have taken care of their subjects while the Blacks and most other pureblood houses ignore or just use them. Now you're the fourth wealthiest family of Britain behind Blacks, with our huge fortune won as spoils of war and the gifts by others for protection and bride price from Malfoys and Lestranges, the Selwyns the family which invests in almost everything and the Grace family, with its import-export and vineyard business.
"And I am here, stuck as Lord Black."
"And I must order and plead and whisper and shout and listen and delibrate and be the best it is possible to be, to manipulate my family to listen to a fucking kid because all others are emotionally compromised or not fit to be leaders. And my regent Aunt Andy will try to force her views of radical change on me. And the only people Bellatrix Lestrange has ever considered worth listening to is a pleading Lord Grandfather and freaking Lady Artemisia.
"Aunt Narcissa will always listen to Bellatrix, Sirius does as he wants, Vega bullied me, Lucretia, my only ally in this family, will be CRUSHED by the others... and my grandfather Orion, he doesn't care that I exist... Too busy, I don't doubt, fucking my grandmother and following her lead on all fours. As for my grandmother..."
Jon who was basically shouting now suddenly quieted down and then smiling in a way Harry really didn't like, a mixture of dark humor and exasperation...
"Walburga Black, the stereotypical crazy Black, one who taught Cygnus his violent tendencies, ran away and married her brother Orion, who hates muggleborns and elves and all magical creatures and ordinary witches and wizards and pretty much everything that breathes. When the rest of the Blacks, including her own sons fought the Dark Lady, she merrily supported her.
"Mostly, however she was a very bad mother. She had three sons- Sirius, of your father's age, Regulus, an year younger and Pollux, born ten years after him. Though never sexually abusive, she did use the cruciatus frequently, on Sirius, and sometimes on Regulus too. Now let's talk about Sirius.
"Sirius Black (Hogwarts 1971-78), a marauder, prankster, playboy extraordinaire, the man you want by your side in war, with a very strong fighting spirit, excellent instincts, master tracker of criminals, and a friend to have through the worst of times.
"The reason for Walburga's anger was rather strange. Neither Sirius, nor Rugulus had the storm grey eyes of Lords Black, Sirius with his deep blue ones, Regulus with his dark brown. They wouldn't be Heir. Walburga wouldn't inherit Any power.
"When Sirius was sorted into Griffindor, the generally defiant and lonely boy became friends with your father, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew.
"Your father, the transfiguration prodigy, Remus the Moral compass, Creatures expert, Runes savant and Arithmancy genius, the study and usage of magical numbers in spell creation and handling. Peter the odd Griffindor who's actually good at Potions, well other than you mother, and finally, Sirius the resident Charms History a expert. They formed the Marauders, a group of pranksters that wrecked havoc on the school.
"Their exploits include but are not limited to stealing the Sorting hat of Hogwarts under Dumbledore's nose, making McGonagall grin, and even creating a Grindylow colony to amuse the Giant Squid of the Black lake of Hogwarts.
"I could go on and on but let me just say that when they drove their fourth year DADA teacher away from the school on a high speed self-designed flying carpet in the middle of the leaving feast for making Lily Evans cry, they were officially Legends.
"Regulus (Hogwarts 1972-79) meanwhile, went to Slytherin, being the model student, the Slytherin seeker, a position in Quidditch, a game in Hogwarts, and a DADA expert, maitaining pleasent relations with everyone but with few friends. He was a prefect, and a generally helpful student.
"So that's all you need to know of the Blacks and the Potters."
"When Charles died, James immediately took a leave from school, and issued an edict to the seven Potter towns, a message which would turn the war...
" 'If there ever was a time you found us inadequate, dishonorable lords, ignore me, but if you feel that the naked dead body in the middle of Diagon Alley was wrong, was sad, was dishonorable then Rise and answer the call.

"The people, whether magical or non magical answered. Potters are not the lords of towns of castles or manors. They rule the people. Our people fight in fear, the people of the towns fought in admiration. James, Lily and the marauders moved to Anthera and worked with its people. In a month, a new piece had entered the war. A fort, the second most protected after Hogwarts with a well trained army, trained at the Bequest, armed with guns and wands.
"When Artemisia left for Nigeria, they struck. As one the 3000 attacked each and every known location of her army, found out the other locations by decisive interrogations and struck people down with blasting curses and guns, cutting curses at the head, explosive runes and even poisons.
"James Potter was at its head. He would transfigured prides of lions at enemies, flocks of pigeons as his lookout, and many times enemies would swore they saw a stag rushing towards them before being Within a week, 30,000 of the Dark Lady's best were 6 feet under and Magical Britain was free of her control.
"Artemisia then called a army of 45,000 wizards to battle Britain's newly raised army of 5000 contributed by Lords added to the earlier official army of 4000 and Potter's 3000. James was raised to the new position of War Strategist by the Wizengamot unanimously.
"Before the last part of the battles began both Artemisia and the Lords-Potter-Ministry army sent representatives to discuss rules.
Only two rules were decided upon.
-There would be no attack on Hogsmeade and Hogwarts by Artemisia as long as they were not used as a base by the resistance. All students were free to decide sides if ready to face consequences.
-There would be no attack on Diagon Alley, the Primary commercial centre of Britain by Artemisia, as long as the resistance did not attack Knockturn Alley, the popular centre for illegal goods in Britain as long as neither were used to house armies.
"The Stygians had their base in the town of Halberd, the largest town owned by the Selwyns, one of the British families supporting Artemisia. The newer resistance had their bases in Arsonage, a newly created war camp where all forces not led by the ministry or the Potters lived in wizard war tents.
The ministry had its Auror offices below London, while the Potters were based in Anthera that was 'God knew where.'
"What followed was chaos. There were many many battles with people seeing Dumbledore, his gloves off raising stone giants off thin air in seconds, and Edgar and Selene Bones and Bernard Fawcett taking down 15 Stygians with them before they died at Artemisia's hand, and there was Bellatrix cackling madly, torturing and cutting away at five of enemies at once.
"They'd see Remus Lupin apparate away after setting up explosive runes and there was Marlene McKinnon firing cutting hex after cutting hex at each soldier. They'd see a rat scurrying away from them, before an explosion of gases made them fall unconscious.
"However, none, not even James who sent off 5 bears to kill werewolves, or Moody who killed giants with steel spikes or Lily Potter, who completed her healing Potions, went out to kill some dark wizards Artemisia had sent, came back to fuck James and held off a Hippogriff attack with him, or Will Grace who killed trolls within eye blinks, McGonagall who sent hundreds of snarling cats and doves with metal beaks at her enemies, Flitwick who stunned 10 at same time as thinking over new shield charms, Alice and Frank Longbottom, who fought together like death reborn, none of them could really challenge Artemisia.
"When she battled, she killed and defended and decimated armies single handedly, taking down tens at the same time. People tried to analyse her dueling technique. There was none. The sheer unpredictability of her attacks, matched only by Sirius and Bellatrix, with power greater than Dumbledore, and creativity better than James, she was Death personified.
"The two years of war also severely decreased the aristocracy. Rabastan Lestrange was killed in a raid. Lord Nott died at Sirius's hand. Artemisia's forces burned the McKinnons to the ground.
"Other than Artemisia, Britain looked to be winning when new players appeared. Augustus Rookwood, who could turn enemies with weak occlumency on each other, the Carrow twins who did not kill but were experts at bone breakers, Daniella Earhart, who used children toys to set off magical bombs, Dolohov, proficient in entail expellers and blood boiling curses.
"So they fought and fought, James and Sirius surviving three times against Artemisia and escaping, fought as Alice and Lily soon became pregnant, as Neville Longbottom was born on 30th July 1980. As the next day Lily went into labor and gave birth to twins."
'What?'
"And James Sirius and Harry Remus Potter were born."
"I've got a twin!"
"Yes you do, Harry. Now move on. It gets worse. The next day, Artemisia attacked the ministry. And the resistance tried to defend it. And then she revealed her trump card. All her spies, all her secret supporters within the British resistance, as one began attacking their comrades. That day Magical Britain lost to herself.
"The loyal Aurors apprehended as Prisoners of war were kept captured in the village of Carther. Artemisia officially controlled the ministry then.
Then she found and attacked Halberd, which fell in four months. By December, the resistance only had one base in Anthera.
"James tried to lead a guirella struggle with his army but most don't have an ounce of subtelity. Besides with the ministry down, there was no single base other than Hogwarts. Anthera couldn't be used for obvious reasons.
"James had been forced to go into hiding due to some information from Dumbledore under a Fidelius with Peter Pettigrew the secret keeper and Lily Potter the caster.
"A Fidelius charm is a charm in which a powerful witch/wizard channels the Mist to obscure a piece of information from everyone's minds. Everyone except a person designated the Secret Keeper then forget about it. The keeper may voluntarily and consciously tell someone the secret. Any other way you learn of it, you wouldn't be able to remember it.
"The months from 1st August '80, the time by which Aurors had been disbanded, members of the initial Order of Dumbledore put into Azkaban and muggleborns declared eternal servants of the purebloods, to Halloween '81 were the darkest in recent history.
"The new Wizengamot, its meetings being held in Courtroom 11, for the doors to the traditional offices in Courtroom 10 shut down the moment the ministry fell, was basically Artemisia's inner circle and the noble families which surrendered to her and weren't killed, was designing a new constitution for the nation.
Artemisia declared herself the Queen of Magical World and sat down to enjoy her conquest. It is said that she took three lovers per day, ate delicacies of different nations for her three meals, held court in the erstwhile Courtroom 11, went to parties all over the Magical World, enjoying life to the fullest. Until 31 January '81 that is.
"Something happened to her that day. Maybe some new intel. She didn't enjoy a single luxury, directly called for her forces and issued a single edict- "Bring James Potter's family to me, and I'll fulfill all your deepest desires."
"Thousands of soldiers of the resistance and civilians had taken refuge in Anthera. Other armies, the running Aurors and Hit wizards were being found and being taken to Carther.
Artemisia wasn't foolish enough it try to take Hogwarts. Most hostile attackers would collapse as soon as they approached the wards. The rest of the country though, did fall into her hands.
"The search of James Potter began. Frank and Alice Longbottom were tortured to insanity, trying to get information. Sirius cut through 19 Stygians before he could run to safety. By March, Artemisia was getting more desperate.
"All the celebrations were postponed, all other schemes abandoned. The puppet government offered 100,000 Galleons to any bringer of relevent information. No information was gathered and the search completety unsuccessful for 7 months, no information until that is until the Stygians caught Mrs Pettigrew.
"Peter had confided in her that James had told him a serious secret. On 26th of October, Peter was sent a severed hand as a present, the severed hand of his mother. He delibrated for four days. On the fifth, they sent him her foot. He finally decided to partially betray his friends. He sent a letter to Lily and rushed to the ministry.
"On October 31, when the non magical celebrated Halloween, Artemisia heard the secret.
" 'The P-p-potters live in th-the fifth house o-on the 7th st-street i-in in G-godric's H-h-hollow.' "
"Pettigrew and his mother were swiftly freed... of their lives. Artemisia loathed disloyalty."
"That night, Artemisia herself, alone attacked the wizard town of Godric's Hollow. On reaching the house, James saw her from afar and tried to send Lily away while he dueld her. James lost the duel, his wand hand and his consciousness in 30 seconds.
Artemisia unhurt, without a scratch then dueled Lily while Lily cauterized James' wound. She too was petrified and bound in seconds. You see Artemisia was not here to kill your parents. She was there to kill Jim and Harry Potter, the 15 month old babies."
"That BITCH! Me!! Jon, what have I done?"
"Nobody knows Harry. And yet, you two were about to a lot of things."
"Wait! What does a flash of green mean? Any spell which flashes a green colour?"
"It is funny you should ask that. Ever looked into the mirror Harry? The Killing curse causes the soul of a person to be wrenched out and to leave their body. It requires great power, greater than all other dueling cures, jinxes or hexes, all charms and most transfigurations. It also requires the caster to feel no remorse in killing.
"It was Artemisia's signature attack in her serious duels, when she wasn't playing with the enemy. It was infallible, never deflected, never blocked by shields, always on target. It requires atleast a feet of hard stone or the life of an animal to block it both of which very few people can conjure in such a short time.
"As for the colour, it has the exact same colour as your and Lily Potter's eyes, well when you're not in water."
"Holy Grandmother of God!!"
"I know. So a petrified Lily watched in silent horror as Artemisia turned her wand at one of you and cast the spell.
And she watched as the spell REBOUNDED for the first time since it use and Artemisia was flung away towards the far wall which then collapsed on top of both of you.
"Holy Granddaughter of Lucifer!!"
"And then Lily found she was free of her petrification and knew that Artemisia was dead. She rushed and dug out the two children, both unconscious and found the lifeless body of the Dark Lady.
"A war which was already lost, with the resistance broken, due to the undefeated Artemisia had just rebegun, won by a toddler.
"Your family rushed to St. Mungo's. You had a lightning bolt-shaped scar on your forehead and your eyes were ocean blue now. Jim meanwhile had V-shaped scar on his forehead.
When Dumbledore arrived and checked you both, he found that you had lost all your magic to Jim, who was bursting with magical power. The only magic you had left, however, was in your eyes."
"For the next few days The Daily Prophet was bursting with news of how Jim Potter, with his brother's sacrificed magic had destroyed "She who mustn't be named," the moniker for people scared of Artemisia, by rebounding her own killing curse upon her.
"The Boy who Lived" destroyed "You know who" on October 31.
"By November 1 in the morning, James Potter's army had decsended from Anthera with Dumbledore, James, Amelia Bones, Barty Crouch, Algert Longbottom and others leading the charge. The last phase of the war was named the Miracle Potter battles in Jim's honour.
"The Dark Lady's army camps, with their wards failed after her death, witnessed the slaughter of her armies.
The ministry was won back.
"With Her gone, the other nations of the world have slowly regained independence. However, Britain has freed and completely colonised France, Germany and Italy and Japan and China are currently our Dominions.
"Meanwhile, you Harry Potter, were declared dead as of 2 November due to loss of magic. Yet here you sit, alive with a Phoenix flying around you, a water elemental. Tell me, what's your story, The Boy who died for the Boy who lived?"
Jon stared at him.
Meanwhile, Harry was begun mumbling, "...my parents are alive... but... why... why..."
'Don't you remember, you fool,' said the intelligent part of Harry's brain, 'Squibs are highly addicted to magic cast in their vicinity. The last spell you felt was...'
"The FUCKING Killing curse..."
"Watch your language!"
Both Jon and Harry were surprised by the third voice. They swiveled their heads towards it. That girl they'd rescued? She'd woken up.
